Important Characters

Leopold Drachmann

The very man aiming to take down your family. You'd be lying if you said you knew anything about him beyond rumors, but there's no doubting how close he is- or, rather, was- to your father. Times have changed though, and what was once a close alliance is now chasmed due to his own actions.

Atticus Bracht

Derrick's father and a surprisingly mellow man in comparison. You've known him since you were a child, and he's almost always seen with a grin on his face. He's guilty his actions as a young man led to Derrick's ignominy when it should be him instead, but he's always seemed more than nervous to face the other nobles that disapprove of his son's illegitimacy.

Ewan/Elvira Chevalier

Your lord/lady-in-waiting and a close friend since they were appointed to you six years ago. They're quick to gossip and always come to you to spill the details, as their husband refuses to listen to their spiels. They care deeply for you and those they've grown close to, and are always there to assuage your worries.

Arina Falkner

An elderly woman who served as your parents' royal advisor. She's since stepped down, allowing you to take the role, but she's never been shy of voicing her opinions. Having been a close friend of your grandfather, she took care of you and your brother as children when your parents weren't able, and will always have your back should you need her.

Mundir Al-Maghrabi

He's Derrick's uncle, and was always the quickest to defend the boy's honor. You'd met him a few times and he always carried himself with an undeniable charm, but there was something sinister beneath the surface. Even though his death was unfortunate for not only the family, but his ministry as well, you can't deny the fact that it may have been timely.

i like to think arina takes an interest in the stuff n0ise makes like the n0isey robots and his jet pack and asks him questions about it and he soaks up the attention like a sponge and because not many people actually ask or talk to him about that stuff

I have discrepancies in OC visions

in part it is about of duality of Arina. Her design screams "angry/defensive/aggressive" and she is intended to be sort of fighter with superpowered folks. But also her main philosophy regarding fights looks like this 0. If fight started - you're fucked. Don't let that happen 1. Try stopping fight before actual escalation - either bring people back to reality or run 2. If fight is inevitable - make least consequences, as brawls with supes usually end up with severe traumas/destructions or deaths 3. Even though supes might feel like someone above humans - they still have same biology, and yes, they will die almost certainly from same wounds that kill ordinary person. Therefore she is afraid to accidentally kill any person

To clear this up - her job as suppressor indeed lies in field of defense and suppressive combat. It started as way of dealing with rowdy supes (including intoxicated with alcohol/drugs). With Valerie coming to ruling and shifting suppressors toward eeeh pmc? paramilitary organisation? security enterprise? (lines are blurry) Arina and her colleagues became more of armed force, rather than something similar to an emergency mental brigade, which is called for people who pose a danger to themselves / others, but since the official authorities are afraid to approach inadequate supers, this vacuum was filled by suppressors. Yeah, this shit is made to be problematic

Combat rules in her case arise not from mercy, but rather from desire of safety for herself. And best fight is indeed the one that didn't happen

A girl cries alone in a dark forest, drowning in her own tears and sorrows with no one else to turn to. Pain...pain seeps through her heart, and being alone doesn't make her feel any better either.

She lets herself cry some more, before eventually she fell asleep.

Alone.

All alone.

Stella is alone.

"Hey! Wake up, dummyhead!"

"Arina, I think it's best if you don't call her a dummyhead."

"Not my problem. She's pretty dumb enough already if she fell asleep in a dark forest like this."

"You...you both can stop talking now. I'm awake."

Stella's raspy voice manages to catch the attention of the two people near her right now. A girl and a man, seemingly close prior to this, looks down on her. "Oh! You're awake! Cool~ Took ya awhile." The girl said, widely grinning in delight.

A sigh escapes the man's mouth as he looks at Stella in concern. "Young girl...are you okay? We saw you here all alone when we were minding our own business here. You were alone, without anyone, which made the both of us concerned—"

"Ahem! Correction; you're the one who's concerned here. I...don't give a shit." The girl said, cutting off the man when he was still talking. "Ugh, yeah, whatever. Anyways, as I was saying, we—ahem, I was concerned, so I asked my friend here to stay with me so we can stay with you until you wake up." The man explained, before frowning.

"Now that I'm looking closer, you looked like you just cried. Are you...genuinely okay?" He then asked. The girl stops messing around and glances at Stella too. It's not obvious, but she is a little bit concerned, to say the least.

"H-huh? O-oh! Um...I..." Stella couldn't really find the right words for a perfect lie, so she could only sigh and nod her head. "What a shame for you. I don't want to butt into any personal business, but...may I ask why you were crying?" The man asked again.

"...I hate this world. I hate the people living in it. Nobody cares. Literally nobody. Even if they think they care, they clearly don't understand me. I just- I just..." Saying that she doesn't want to live anymore can only make the man and the girl even more concerned, but it's better than lying again.

"...I just...don't wanna live anymore because of that." Hearing the rest of Stella's answer, the man could only nod in understanding, whereas the girl was slightly shocked. "H-huh-" "Enough, Arina. I'll take it from here."

The girl—now Stella knows her as Arina—only nodded, glancing away from the two and to the trees nearby instead. "Hey, look, the world may be scary, but..." The man started, walking towards Stella before sitting beside her, putting a hand on her shoulder. "...I...hate this place too." He then finished.

"Huh? Really?" Stella timidly asked. The man nodded. "Yes. Back then, I'd have thoughts of taking my own life too. It's all because I was so fed up with this stupid world..." He paused, before carefully continuing. "...I still do feel like I want to just simply disappear, though. Things haven't gotten better for me since my teenager years."

"For real~ Like even if I act super jolly and shit, that doesn't even come close to the fact that I feel like I just want to blow up this world! Or maybe even the entire universe!" Arina chimed in, before sitting beside Stella too. "Blow up the world...? Destroy...the world...?" Stella asked again.

And that was when both Arina and the man went silent. Both didn't said any word as Stella pondered over the thought of simply destroying the world. Destroying the world, blowing up the world, flooding the world...

"Flooding the world with a sea of stars."

"Huh? What did you say?" Arina asked, her eyes slightly widened as she turned her head to look at the other girl. The man was also intrigued by what Stella had just said. "I...I want to flood the world with a sea of stars. I want to permanently destroy the world with stars." Stella repeated, and now what she had said previously made more sense to both Arina and the man.

In truth, the both of them also wanted to destroy the world, and now—

"You...your idea interests me." The man said, before his eyes lit up. "I'm Austin, by the way. That over there is Arina, but you probably already heard me utter out her name earlier." He said, before adding, "Maybe...maybe we could make your idea work somehow."

"Ooh! Are we gonna become supervillains who are plotting to rule the world?!" Arina asked, excitement taking over her as she clasped her hands together. Stella was nonetheless shocked by Austin and Arina's reaction to what she had said, but now...

She feels less lonely.

"Hmm...I'd like to rule the world too. It'd be nice to give the people who made me suffer for so many years a taste of their own medicine." Stella said, a feeling of pleasure that was long gone slowly creeping up within her. The thought of ruling over the people she hates the most is...comforting to her.

A chuckle escapes Austin's mouth, a mischievous smile forming on his lips. "Haa...that would be absolutely wonderful. Let's go for it, shall we?" He offered, and for the first time in awhile, Stella felt like she could genuinely smile.

She lets out a giggle. "Yes...yes, yes, yes..."

"Let's make the world go stargazing one day."

I’m relatively new to i7 fandom (joined last year) so seeing that it’s a tradition to do math and make far fetched theories with every new announcement of an announcement is so funny to me

but I also do have a good feeling about this year, with it being the 10th anniversary of the series and the 7th anni of aninana, so this is the one time I can expect 4th beat. if not then that’s fine too. I’ll take whatever they want to give me
