There's going to be at least one cheering screening on the 27th of February - yes, Binanshi! As of this post, there are no Boueibu screenings on that date, but sales open at 24 o'clock on the 24th of Feb./12 am on the 25th (all times/dates JST). Calling out is allowed, as are glowsticks and other things, but be sure to follow the guidelines.

On Feb. 22nd 2025 (Friday), the literature centre in Ikaho closed for commemorating Kenjiro Tokutomi. You could still collect Kinshiro for the AR stamp rally though and that rally will continue until the 31st of March 2025 (all dates JST). Be sure to protect yourself from the cold - it's winter, so it's very cold in Ikaho right now!

From Mar. 7th - 26th 2025, Boueibu will be collabing with Raku Cafe Ikebukuro. They have an online shop here (but 1) the shop appears to have an arrangement with WorldShopping as a proxy, so if you're interested in getting some merch from this collab, you'll have to factor that in and 2) there isn't anything for Boueibu on the site, as of this post).

So I was reading this article for no very particular reason, and I stumbled across this word いぶし銀 ibushigin—literally, "tarnished silver".

It's from the verb 燻す ibusu—"to smoke (something); to oxidise". That's the same kanji Ibushi's given name is spelt with, of course. But Jisho also has it as "something restrained but impressive (e.g. performance); something quiet but superb; something masterfully controlled​".

Sound familiar at all?

This is what the article says:

いぶし銀 ibushigin means someone who holds real ability that is not flashy or gaudy. For instance, an actor who, while never centre-stage, has made their name in supporting roles, and is recognised for that understated ability. While they don't stand out like a celebrity, they have real importance and skill.

So it's literally Arima's name, the Silver Chevalier: his name is his role. He's just there in the background, getting on with shit. Never noticed like Kinshirou, but essential to the operation.
