Agatha All Along deep dive: episode 4 part 1
(Wandavision entries: [1][2][3])
(AAA entries: ep1 [1][2][3][4] ep2 [1][2][3][4] ep3 [1][2][3] ep4 [1][2][3][4][5])
It's episode 4 If I Can't Reach You / Let My Song Teach You, time for two of my favorite things: glam rock and homosexuals. which are basically the same thing if you think about it.
she's like damn, billy, that was ruthless. honestly this is going to make her care about billy even more, not only he's powerful, not only he reminds her of nicky. now he's a murderer too?? perfect son is perfect. I love how she's studying sharon's body with her detective Agnes face, her mind is going a million miles a minute
her third-wall-break winks destroy me. and that poor hairdo. all gone expect for the giant turd on top.
alice being truly and genuinely sorry about sharon. lilia and jen being gossiping hags
agatha honey you're so dainty and feminine, look at you. and that's an interesting and not at all painful tree shape you picked. (I would have never noticed any of this without brightening the scene, it's outrageous. everyone involved in this show is amazing except the lighting department. shame on you lighting department)
whatever alice does openly and sincerely, agatha does secretly or as a joke. parallels, parallels
jen is like, can you believe this bitch
without being asked, alice goes to help digging the grave
that is the idiot I fell in love with and I'm way past regretting my choices at this point!! I know how rio feels now
"coven two" is one of those lines that make you laugh on first view and shred your heart in a million tiny pieces at every following rewatch. this show HAS to be watched at least twice, don't ever trust reviews or complaints by ppl who didn't, because they missed at least half of what makes it great.
a clown running from the tragic truth that her son wrote the Ballad, making sad clown noises all over the Road
when alice is called to referee as the Resident Ballad Expert and agatha looks at her expectantly hands in pockets, somehow extremely obnoxious, extremely gay and extremely sad at the same time
alice is SO above bickering. jen is being a baby because she's mad at agatha, lilia is being a baby cause she's grumpy and a contrarian, billy is sixteen, agatha is, well, agatha. alice is the only adult in the building
just one, huh? that's fine. that's fine. who needs a heart anyway.
the common gypsophila or baby's breath symbolizes sincerity, purity, innocence. does it symbolizes sharon? or is billy leaving it on her grave a metaphor for his naivety and good intentions gone wrong?
billy's romantic ideals of what it means to be in a coven have just been shattered. he set out, consciously or not, to teach something to these witches and of course it didn't work. he is the one who needs guidance, he is the one who's making a mess of things. he's just a kid.
agatha going !! when billy says he wishes he could go home. agatha covertly pointing out that he has a replacement body and she would really like to know how. she's observing him so closely, trying to puzzle out the mystery. exactly like she did with wanda inside the Hex. not revealing her cards just yet, testing and manipulating him. when that strategy blew up in her face so spectacularly the first time! she's so smart and so reckless it makes her practically an idiot
case in point: she's making up stupid rules trying to manipulate billy into shaping the Road the way she wants. that's right, agatha. let's summon another poor victim you can siphon, wonder who's gonna show up! (and she KNEW sharon was laying dead ten feet away and SOMEONE was bound to be in the neighborhood. dumbass.)
aww he's so proud of himself for having brought the spellbook. he's being helpful! he's made his four moms happy!
check, debatable, check
debatable and debatable
I'm gonna give that one a BIG check
yes I know advil spells "vidal", thank you tumblr for letting me know that one. also same, alice.
'esse viridis non es facile' IT'S NOT EASY BEING GREEN?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! oh I knew my high school latin was bound to come in handy at least once in my life
(by the way the set + costumes combo is giving me such hocus pocus vibes, but you could never tell because the SCENE IS SO FUCKING DARK) (NO I WON'T SHUT UP ABOUT IT)
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH
I mean girls, you chose to follow the head clown, you have to travel in the clown car. that's on you.
WHY IS THE PRINT SO SMALL???? I LOVE YOU PATTI LUPONE
admit it we all wished it was sharon for a moment
oh?? is that mayhaps someone you know, agatha???
and that's a wrap, see you guys tomorrow!
no, I'm kidding, I'm kidding. I'm doing another one tonight. I need to shove all the rio scenes in my eyeballs NOW
go to episode 4 part 2

I know it's kind of become the consensus and it's a fun theory but it makes no sense to me and I need to talk about it. Agatha was not killing witches to avoid death, she was doing it for power in the hopes that enough power coupled with the darkhold would cloak her from death because she didn't want to see Rio's face or have to forgive her she wanted to stay angry. Lilia has lived over 450 years without killing anyone. Jen has live 100 years without any magic and who know how many years before that. When Billy googled Agatha there were pages on the screen that say that witch don't die of natural causes and choose the age they want to appear as. Agatha could have stayed alive with the darkhold for a long long time. She chose to lure and kill those witches for power for her own gain.
And for Nicky, the whole "distracting Rio with bodies" is just silly. People die every day, every second, she's constantly reaping someone. She's Lady Death if she needs to take someone there's no distracting her. Either Nicky needed to feed off death because of Rio's parentage or Agatha was hoping to accumulate enough power to cloak him from Rio permanently or both. The day he refused killing and said "his mother is expecting him", either he was done feeding off the dead and wanted to join Rio's realm forever, or he was physically sick and in pain and tired so that was his way of telling both Agatha and Rio that he was ready to die and that's how Rio knew to take him, she waited until he was ready (something she never does with anyone).
The one time Rio offered Agatha a deal of one life for another is with Billy, and that's because Billy's magic is powerful enough to let him escape Rio and reincarnate indefinitely. So he has to go willingly. Rio could have had a talk with Billy about the order of things but she chose to involve Agatha. She wants Agatha to be the one to deliver Billy to her because she noticed she loves Billy. And if Agatha can deliver a boy she loves to Death, that means she will have finally understood that Death is not a punishment just the cycle of life and she will have forgiven Rio. She banked on Agatha wanting to stay alive but she was not expecting Agatha asking to never see her face. That's when Rio lashed out. Because after all those centuries she still won't forgive her for doing her job. And that's when she started tormenting her and giving her the ultimatum, either her or Billy.
I'm sure Agatha thought she was manipulating Death all this time, because she can be delulu about her power sometimes. And Rio probably thought it was funny in the beginning that this baby witch thinks she's manipulating a being as old as time. But Rio was never going to kill her, just like she never kills anyone. And if offerings of bodies were enough to stay alive, all serial killers would be immortal. Rio was just collecting her bodies and having a blast with her wife until the party ended and suddenly her job no longer seemed fun to Agatha because it went against her wishes. And suddenly this being she loved became evil in her eyes. And then Agatha acquired the Darkhold and Rio couldn't even see her anymore she could only trace her by the bodies she left.

More ep 8 + 9 thoughts, in no particular order:
Rio looks at Agatha the way Agatha looks at other people when they say something angry or misunderstood or untrue about her — mainly, hurt. It’s fine, I’m fine. By not accepting her nature, Agatha’s doing the exact same thing to Rio that people have been doing to her for centuries and if that ain’t trauma i don’t know what is.
I’ve heard people say it was out of character for Rio to go all evil witch in ep 8, but I think it was a choice. She was so hurt by the deal Agatha wanted from her to never see her again, she said you know what, fine. You think I’m evil? I’ll be evil. Let’s play. But even as she puts on this show she’s saying things like I’m the natural order of all things and you love me, and why don’t you want me? And again, this is an Agatha move. Putting on the show of the evil witch to hide her pain underneath. Calls back to ep 1 too, when she says I can’t kill you, but I can make you wish you were dead.
I tend to kill my coven members. So do I. — That boy and Agatha are mirrors what did I tell you. 🙌🏼
I still can’t quite wrap my head around what she was thinking when she tried to give him up to Rio. Did she see him start to turn himself in and know that that’s what Rio needed him to do, so she changed to her evil side to make him second guess himself? Or did she genuinely think screw this in that moment and then changed her mind? I don’t know, and I don’t think we’re supposed to know, and that’s really interesting actually.
And Billy! Basically manipulates her into sacrificing herself for him using Nicky! My dude you really aren’t that nice. In that sense… he really got all of them killed.
I say more about this in my general show overview post which is coming soon, but once I was able to let go of where I thought Agatha should go as a character, I realized a couple things: a) her journey isn’t over, so this wasn’t supposed to feel like a complete arc and b) I think the point of her character is that you just can’t pin her down in one category or another. She’s not fully evil, she’s definitely not good but she can make good choices, she’s not a complete villain but she’s not a hero or anti-hero either. She’s truly unique in the MCU in that sense. And interestingly, it seems like Billy is going in a similar direction. We’ll see.
So Agatha is the “maiden mother crone” of the last episode right? We’ve now seen her in all three stages, she was the mother up until she died and now is the crone as a ghost playing the Guide to Billy. I’m gonna go with that.
There’s a .2 second look of pain on Agatha’s face when Rio tells her Lilia is dead. That’s when she found out. She does care about them, she’s just definitely not going to show it in front of anyone else.
Lots of great line repetitions in these last two eps (covenless witch, get used to this feeling, etc), but one I could have used again was Rio’s “te veo” — she does say the line about watching Agatha just as closely as you watch everyone else, which was great. But idk I wanted that to come back one more time.
See my previous post for my Nicky thoughts but it seems like the more discourse comes out the more we all agree that is Rio’s child just as much as Agatha’s. The question then becomes, was he just created from their love and magic, or for some other reason? Personally I would love to see more play out with Nicky and him possibly being “a demon, or an agent of Mephisto” and that’s why Agatha can’t face him. She needed more time to figure out how to change his fate but she couldn’t. It’s almost a Bucky/winter soldier situation, but instead of hydra it’s literally the Marvel god of the underworld controlling him. There’s a movie in there somewhere for sure. (MCU witch movie??)
The music banged in these eps especially the choral opening to ep 9, so cool.
Am I the only one wondering why Agatha is RunNInG when she’s in labor? Like where’s she going, who’s she running from? Just an interesting opening.
It’s Agatha All Along in several ways: Agatha (and Nicky) originated the ballad, Agatha used the ballad to kill witches for centuries, she was telling the truth all along about the road not existing, she was the one who bound Jen, and she knew all along it was Billy who made the road. Not exactly the character transformation I was gunning for, but I see the vision now.
The Peggy Carter cosplay I live 🤌
I still don’t think Agatha outright intentionally killed Alice. I still think she either genuinely didn’t have control in that moment, or Billy subconsciously made her do it to make her the villain. (Edit, Jac basically confirmed option 1)
I LOVE that she’s a conwoman. It makes so much sense for her character and even in a more genuinely evil context I love a con.
Agatha says she was going to kill them in her basement on day 1, but Lilia stopped them. If they didn’t attack her, would she have found another way to take their power? Idk but it seems more to me like she’s just trying to make Billy feel better.
I’m itching for more, but I do love the emotional moment between them in the basement at the end. Agatha lets just a little bit of her true feelings peek through, and Billy gets a little perspective as well.
Ok, I’ve now listened to the full 3.5 hour House of R pod on the finale, including their interview with Jac Schaeffer, and she confirmed a lot of my thoughts here so. Nice.
OMG Jac said this thing about the Road being Agatha’s lie that Billy made real and I got CHILLS
I’m expecting some baller fan edits for this show now that it’s over absolutely can’t wait
I could probably say more, and if I think of more stuff I’ll add it in comments. But also look out for that full show review post.

The Legacy of Nicholas Scratch
After episode 9, Nicky’s spirit calling out “Mama, stop!” as Agatha kills Alice hits WAY differently.
The popular theory prior to the finale was that Agatha accidentally killed Nicky herself, perhaps by inadvertently absorbing a manifesting power of his own and being unable to control/stop herself. And his voice from the Ouija board was actually a memory of his last words as she was killing him.
But actually, it’s entirely different. Nicky’s words were not about himself. They were about her, and her actions.
Unlike Agatha, Nicky had a strong conscience in life, if only due to the natural innocence of childhood. He never felt good about his mom killing all those witches, to the point where he spent their last day together sparing the lives of the latest group of witches and drawing Agatha away from them. And now 250+ years later, thanks to Billy, his spirit is briefly drawn back toward the living world just in time to see his mother is still doing it. She’s still hurting her fellow witches. So he makes one last plea: “Stop!”
Because Nicky knows his mom, better than anyone besides Rio. He knows that she is capable of love and kindness. He saw it every day in her care for him and in their shared joy as they wrote and sang their little song together. He’s witnessed so much proof of her heart and her capacity for good. He wishes she’d let herself tap into that side of her, and stop letting herself be the monster that everyone says she is. He’s always known that she can be more than that.
And this is exactly why Agatha does stop, just from the sound of Nicky’s name before she even hears his voice. She’s reminded of his concern for life in spite of, or perhaps because of, his (most likely) being the child of Death. A concern that she never let herself have.
All these years without Nicky, she’s let her pain and grief motivate her in killing those witches. How could any of these witches possibly deserve to live when Nicky didn’t? It’s a similar mindset to Clint as Ronin when all those criminals outlived his family. She might as well punish “the undeserving.” And in doing so, maybe, somehow, she’ll gain enough power to fill that ever-present hole that was torn into her chest the morning she woke up to find that he never would wake again.
But now here he is again, forced to see what she has become. And he doesn’t like it. He still wants her to stop.
No wonder Billy’s question “is this how Nicky died?” is what finally gets through to her. On the day he died, Nicky abandoned her quest to inflict death on others, wishing they could just let them live. That day, Agatha continued ignoring his wishes in favor of her own agenda, prompting him to apologize and give in, saying they can kill more witches tomorrow. Now here is Billy, who went through everything he did just to give life back to his brother. Who is doing exactly what Nicky would’ve done if he’d had a brother. And Agatha is about to abandon him to her own agenda once again. To get him killed just as she got all those witches killed in spite of Nicky’s pleas.
No.
Not again.
So with a literal kiss of Death, she finally embraces Nicky’s concern for life. She enters death in order to let someone else have life.
But … in perspective, that’s just one boy. Nothing will ever bring back any of those witches she killed. Nothing will ever undo those years that she spent turning the only piece of Nicky’s legacy, his only contribution to the living world in the stolen time he was given, into a conduit of the very thing he always opposed.
No wonder she can’t face Nicky. No wonder she’s afraid of seeing him. Even centuries later, she was still doing what he didn’t want her to do, and was about to keep on doing it to the point of needing a reminder of him. And she’s been doing it using their song. Corrupting his beautiful sweet little tune into a harbinger of doom. The very last thing he ever wanted his song to be used for.
No wonder she’d prefer staying with Billy, who is considerate of others’ lives just like Nicky was. Who is the first person to make her feel tender emotions since she lost her baby, the first person to open her eyes to the true horror of what she’s been doing with that ballad all these years. Who is her second chance.
She wouldn’t give Nicky what he wanted: for her to stop. But she will give Billy what he wants: his brother. She will spend her new “afterlife” as a ghost doing for Billy what she should’ve done for Nicky: helping him get what will make him happy, and devoting herself to that cause.
She failed Nicky, but she won’t fail Billy or Tommy.

Nicky
Agatha prefers not to remember the baby stage, continuous breast-feeding in a time before pumping or formula, and the challenge of trying to keep a creature alive so delicate it seemed every cough might kill him, if she didn’t do it herself so she could finally get a full night’s rest. Only magic and hormones get them both out of that period alive.
At a year, he’s a bright-eyed, curious little thing, babbling continuously, interested in crawling but uncertain about walking. Once, Agatha looks away for the briefest of moments and he grabs a sharp rock, cuts open his tiny hand. She cries almost as hard as he does, then sings him a song to soothe him while she binds the wound.
The song works wonders, and so she continues to sing to him, silly little songs she makes up on the spot.
When he’s two, he starts to get stubborn, insists on doing everything himself, toddling about on two stocky legs declaring the world his oyster.
“Do you want help with that?” she asks.
“Do on own,” he insists, then, after a few seconds of trying to no success, “Mama help?”
Of course, mama will help.
At three, he starts to make things up, silly rhymes and riddles and games. He plays them with a collection of spirits and sprites, only half of which are even real. He invents words, silly cognates that send them both into hysterics.
She wishes she could remember any of them now.
She gets careless when he’s four. He sees one of the bodies. “What happen to her?”
Other mothers would lie. Agatha never will, not even about the hard things. “She died, my heart. I took her powers for my purple and it killed her.”
He nods, looks at the body for a while, then goes off to play while Agatha cleans up.
Here is a secret not even Agatha knows. Her boy has never been afraid of Death, for she is his secret friend, bringing him colorful rocks and interesting bugs, cautioning him that his mother must never know or she’ll have to stop visiting.
He doesn’t want that, so he doesn’t tell. Besides, it’s fun to have secrets. By the time he’s five, he’s as good at spotting herbs as Agatha and more patient about it. “You’d make a fine potions witch,” she praises
“Maybe I will be, then,” he says, laying out herbs to dry. “When I’m grown.”
He misses entirely the way she goes still and her lips move in something akin to prayer.
Please, beloved. Give me time.
At six, he’s a good lad, patient, well-mannered, kind to animals, experienced at being an accessory to murder. Sometimes Agatha looks at him, shakes her head, and asks, “Whose son are you? You’re not a thing like me.”
“Well,” he’ll say, doffing his cap. “Then I’d best be off to find my real mother.”
“Certainly. When you find her, tell her to send me a handful of shillings for the raising of her son.”
Sometimes this skit continues for a while, until one of them, often Agatha, begins to laugh and then the other joins in, a witch’s cackle and a boy’s high-pitched giggling blending together in the warm summer air.
Who he would have been at seven is anyone’s guess.

if there’s one thing i’d say it’s that i wish they explained some parts of the plot more instead of using that time to set off a wiccan spin off (not that i disagree with it, i think it’s great we have wiccan in mcu) but … i need more on agathario’s backstory bc im confused how they even got into a relationship? especially if rio apparently never sees agatha…
also what tf have they done with rio? why has she been written as an emotionless entity with no sympathy for agatha and nicky, when throughout the show all she’s been is soft and lenient with agatha… LIKE A LOVER… you’re telling me she just disappears as the love of her life gives birth and she doesn’t see her again until now??? until many many years after she took nicky away in his sleep (which again was rio treading softly with the cards she’s been dealt, and being soft with agatha)
and what was going on with that kiss? bc it wasn’t one out of love (maybe it was a little but ultimately it was agatha choosing death in the form of a kiss rather than a kiss of intimacy) however it was kinda poetic so i guess there’s that, but like still… could we pls have a bit of explanation as to how these two people came to be??? and what actually killed agatha? was it the “kiss of death” or the “touch of death” when rio points her dagger at her??

I started this as a joyful moment... it made me sad instead, so i had to share
For the last two months Rio has been using the times where Nicky has been sleeping to do one of two things either her job, as doesn’t want to leave him alone when he is awake for too long, or obsessively researching, tyring to find anything that could be Agatha, but as, Nicky sleeps on a sunny Thursday morning Rio isn’t doing either of those things, she is doing something which to her is much more important. Just like she has been all night Rio is in the kitchen, of the current house they are squatting in, putting the finishing touches on something she has been working on.
“Done,” Rio says proudly as she places the last candle on a, rather lopsided, birthday cake, before lighting all eight of them. “I think he’s going to like it,” Rio says, knowing that she could have done a better job if she used magic, but making a birthday cake for Nicky is something she wanted to do from scratch, without magic.
Picking up the cake, and the present she has spent weeks tracking down, Rio heads into the, very comfortable bedroom, Nicky is sleeping in, knowing that thanks to the blip it is easy to find abandoned houses in very good condition something which she has been using to her advantage.
“Nicky, wake up Mi Conejito,” Rio says as she walks into the room, turning the light on she does.
“Mommy?” Nicky asks, then she notices what she is holding. “It’s my birthday,” Nicky realises.
“It is,” Rio confirms as she walks over to him. “Do you remember what that means?” Rio asks.
“It means I get to make a wish,” Nicky says excitedly.
“Yep, and you get presents too,” Rio tells her son, lowering the cake so that it is closer to him. “Happy birthday Nicky,” Rio tells her son. “Make a wish,” Rio says, and getting a look of complete concentration on his face Nicky blows out all eight candles in one go. “One go, good job!” Rio tells her son. “So,” Rio says, as she puts the cake on the bedside table, but keeps hold of the present she is holding, and sits down next to him. “Do you want to tell me what you wished for?” Rio asks curious.
“Mama,” Nicky says, and Rio has to fight back tears at that, as her heart breaks for her son. “I wished for Mama to be here… that’s what I want most,” Nicky admits, as he looks up at Rio.
“It’s what I want most too, and Nicky I’m really sorry we haven’t found her yet,” Rio says, once again finding herself cursing the Darkhold as she knows that if it wasn’t for that damn book she would have been able to reunite Nicky with his other mother by now. “But we’re going to keep trying, we’re not going to give up,” Rio assures Nicky.
“I know,” Nicky responds, believing that, but it is also clear that he is sad about not seeing his mother.
“I know it’s not the same as Mama being here, but I have something of hers, something I wanted to give you,” Rio says, giving the present she is holding to Nicky. “Open it,” Rio says encouragingly, and Nicky opens the present to reveal a very old book.
“It’s a book,” Nicky says, but even he can tell that it is more than that.
“It is, but it’s more than that,” Rio explains, confirming what Nicky has already realised. “Mama has always wanted to learn everything she could about magic, she always wants to learn more, understand more, always wants to expand her knowledge,” Rio explains, knowing that Agatha would often say that knowledge can be more powerful than raw power. “Long before you were born, she started to write her own spell book so she could keep a record of her knowledge,” Rio explains, knowing that that particular book doesn’t have anything too dangerous in it as she checked. “She gave it to me for safekeeping, but I know it’s always meant to be yours,” Rio explains to her son.
“Mama wrote this whole book?” Nicky asks amazed.
“She did,” Rio says, knowing it’s not the only book of magic Agatha has written but it’s not the time for that conversation.
“Wow,” Nicky says amazed, as he starts to flicker through the pages, finding it fascinating, looking so much like Agatha as he does, and together Nicky and Rio celebrate Nicky’s eight birthday by eating birthday cake in bed while Nicky reads the book that makes him feel a little closer to his mama; but while they do have a good time it is clear that they both feel Agatha’s absence.

Let Me Read To You ~ Chapter 3 (Agatha x Rio Bookstore AU)
Chapter 1 Chapter 2
Summary:
Time moves on and Rio wants to say I love you to Agatha. However, she doesn't want to rush or ruin their relationship.
Notes:
Hey y'all! Here's another chapter with a bit of smut at the end lol. Lowkey might slow down with updates just cause im in university n the work load is picking up again Warnings: SMUT! Strap ;)
Weeks went by for the two and next thing they knew it had already been a month and a half since that night. Rio had already met Nicholas and the two got along wonderfully, she even would help him learn how to read. It was on another one of their dates where Rio couldn't help but yearn, she wasn't sure if the time was right but she had been holding herself back. She wanted to tell Agatha so badly that she loved her but she wasn't sure if the timing was right. They were both at Agatha's house this time, watching Treasure Island while Nicholas sat in-between them asking a million questions. “Hey Nicky, do you want some popcorn?” Agatha asked to get him to stop asking so many questions. “Please mommy!” He said, looking up at his mother. “Alright, I'll be back,” Agatha said, heading over to the kitchen. “Rio! Rio! Why is the ship in space? I thought ships go in water?” Nicholas asked, looking up at Rio. “You're right Nicky! Ships do go in water but they have special ships that go in space” Rio told him, ruffling his hair and pinching one of his cheeks. Nicholas couldn't help but giggle and hug Rio. She was shocked for a minute but then returned the hug. “Mmm you're warm like mommy” Nicholas said, cuddling into Rio. Agatha came back and couldn't help but smile at the scene before her. “Someone seems to like Rio,” Agatha said, kissing Nicholas's head. “She's warm like you Mommy!” He said, going to hug his mother. Rio couldn't help but smile and look up at Agatha. “I've been told I'm good to cuddle ” Rio told Agatha with a wink. “I can testify to that” she said, leaning in to kiss Rio on the cheek.
After the movie Nicholas was already getting sleepy and so Agatha was about to put him to bed but before she could do that he demanded Rio read his bedtime story. Rio went ahead and read him his story, leaving once he fell asleep and made sure to leave his nightlight on. “Thank you for doing all that,” Agatha said as Rio entered her bedroom. “Oh course baby, anything for you” Rio said, getting into bed. “ Anything?” Agatha asked, looking over after Rio. “Anything, name it” Rio told her, straddling her. “If I said there's a strap in the dresser and want you bent over the bed?” Agatha asked, biting her lips and holding Rio’s hips. “I'd say, your wish is my command” Rio said before getting off of Agatha and giving her a quick kiss. They both quickly undressed while Agatha grabbed the harness from her dresser and went into the bathroom to grab the lube and spread it on her purple strap. As she reentered the room she saw Rio all ready and spread for her. “God you're so perfect” she said, lining up her strap to Rio’s hole. She slowly pushed it in and leaned down on Rio, pressing her into the mattress. “Mm Rio, you're so perfect, so good for me” Agatha told her, kissing her shoulder as she slowly started to pump Rio. “Oh god Agatha , faster, faster please!” Rio exclaimed, loving the feeling of Agatha on top of her. Agatha began to pump Rio fully, thrusting hard and fast into her. “Oh god! Agatha! I'm close, I'm so close baby!” Rio exclaimed, white knuckling the sheets. “You're being so good for me baby, come on. Give it to me, cum for me my love” Agatha said, not realizing she had let the l word slip. It wasn't much longer till Rio was on the verge of screaming and was shuddering under Agatha. Once Agatha realized Rio had came, she started to slow down her pace to help Rio ride out her climax. Agatha let her weight lay on top of Rio for a bit longer until she finally removed the strap out of her which only caused Rio to whine. Agatha was about to take off the harness but Rio turned around when she heard Agatha about to take it down. She instantly got down on her knees and started sucking the strap and cleaning her juices off of it. Agatha was a bit shocked by the action but soon kneaded her fingers into Rio's hair. Rio let go of the strap from her mouth and had a saliva string hanging off her lips as she leaned back. Agatha helped Rio get off of her knees and instantly had her back on the bed to kiss her. After a good minute Agatha took off the harness and let it lay on the floor.
They laid in bed, cuddling and sharing soft touches here and there. Rio couldn't hold it back anymore, she had to say it. “I love you Agatha” Rio said above a whisper. Agatha sat up on her elbow to look at Rio and saw her with a serious solemn expression. She caressed her cheek before saying “I love you too”. Rio looked up in shock but saw that Agatha was as serious as she was. She couldn't help but giggle and kiss her passionately. After a minute of kissing Agatha felt something wet and leaned back, only to see that Rio was crying. “Rio? What's wrong?” Agatha asked, whipping away Rio’s tears. “I was so scared” she said in between sniffles. “Scared of what sweetheart?” Agatha asked, holding onto Rio a bit more closer. “ I'm usually not good with relationships and I run. I always run instead of facing the problems but I don't want to do that to you. I love you Agatha and this is the first times in years I've felt this that I'm scared. I'm scared I'm going to mess this up and for whatever reason you won't want me” Rio told her, full on hugging Agatha at this point. “Rio, you're not the only one who's scared. I don't have the best past either, heck I'm divorced. But the past is the past and well, all that matters is now. Sure we might fight later on but what couple doesn't? Do you know how many dates I've brought to Nicky and he doesn't even acknowledge them? You're different Rio, we're going to be fine, ok?” Agatha asked, rubbing Rio’s back. “Ok” Rio responded as a whisper, her head buried into Agatha’s neck. They held each for a minute before Rio leaned back and looked at Agatha. “Thank you, for uh, all that” she said, brushing a bit of Agatha's hair out of her face. “Of course, anything for you my love” Agatha said, caressing Rio's cheek once again. “I love you” Rio said, looking into Agatha's eyes
“I love you” Agatha repeated, leaning in closer to Rio. They shared a quick kiss until Agatha broke it. “Baby, it's getting late and I'm getting tired,” Agatha told her, giving her a peck on the cheek. “That's ok, I'm tired too honestly” Rio told her, taking Agatha's hand and kissing it. As the two got ready for bed, Rio couldn't help but nuzzle more into her. Agatha giggled a bit as she felt Rio’s breath tickle her neck. Slowly they both fell asleep in each other's arms. Knowing for a fact, they were both loved.

Agatha All along S01E08-09
What the hell? I've thousands of questions. Come back.
I have so many feelings about the finale. My mind went from "Jac Schaeffer, you're brilliant" to "What the hell, Jac?"
I loved Agatha and Niky's backstory. The way they created the ballad was one of the sweetest things Marvel has done. The fact that Agatha kept killing witches using the ballad was amazing because in a way she was still scheming with her son.
I was expecting the road to not be real, but not that Agatha was the writer of that ballad. Where is her Grammy for songwriter of the year?
Also obsessed with the idea that part of Agatha's power is being annoying. She upsets these witches to the point the want to kill her.
The way she looked for the door every time knowing damn well there was no door cracked me up.
Jen was my favorite witch from the coven, besides Agatha obviously, so I'm so happy she made it out alive and well. She should be in Agatha all along season 2 doing magic together.
I love Agatha as a character so much. How can they do her so dirty? There are two problems with the finale: Billy and Rio.
My problem with Rio, as a character, is that you give me all these implications of a complicated backstory with Agatha, for what? Hey, I wasn't expecting much tbh because it's not that kind of show but they could at least give us something.
How Agatha and Death were lovers? Rio is literally death. How did they cross paths? How do you start dating death? I didn't want a whole season about it but damn.
When Agatha was giving birth Rio gave him more time with her son. She didn't show up once. Rio gave Agatha six more years with her son. So, they were lovers before giving birth then Rio took Nicky and they didn't see each other until now? Then why is Agatha so mad at Rio?
The first part of the season made it seem like Rio did the most awful things to Agatha. Tell me how your kid dying of a natural cause is worse than sacrificing him for the darkhold?
Also, the big thing about being "THE green Witch". Yes, I know Jen explained briefly about the meaning but it was so whatever. And what do you mean Agatha was literally fighting death? Rio shouldn't be able to kill anyone.
Now Billy made me sigh.
My problem with Billy is why the fuck would you make a show with a female lead about a man? You kill the show's female lead to create a story for a man, and then she becomes the sidekick. That's insanity.
I'm fine with them using the show to introduce Billy bc Agatha is part of Wanda's world but damn. Everything was him? Was it Billy All along?
Then she dies to save him and becomes a ghost somehow because those are details that we don't need to know, apparently. Fucking Billy then tries to banish her because why? Because she outsmarted him? She knew the road wasn't real? She killed Alice? Like fuck you Billy and your fuckass brother too.
And I hated that ghostly effect. It looked so cartoonish. Couldn't she look like herself without that effect? the wig was fine HaghAtha is sexy too.
And Jac saying that they planned to turn her into a ghost all this time is crazy to me. She has everything planned and she decided to give Billy a whole-ass episode instead of a glimpse of Agatha and Rio meeting each other.
If you read Jac Schaeffer's interviews about the show you can see she has so many good ideas. So, what happened baby? Was it Kevin Feige?
Anyway, I wish all these made-up shows didn't matter to me that much and I could consume media like a normal person.

As someone who was waiting for Agatha to end before watching it, would you still recommend it to a person who can’t handle sad endings?
Listen ... if you put in your head that Agatha is a ghost for now, that she will come back and that she forgave Rio (if she didn't already, I have trouble understanding if she did just before the kiss or not) for taking her son (for me it is their son, their love totally created him and for me in the flashbacks they raised him together. Agatha being Mama and Rio being Mother) and that fighting is their love language and foreplay (Miss Kathryn Hahn said it herself) you can be ... I won't say okay but it is easier than some other ships to imagine a happy ending for them.
Agatha said some things in her pain to Rio in ep 8 but for me it was the pain talking. Still hurts though. But she will say sorry to Rio I know it in my heart.
She will (or did right before the kiss not sure) understand that Rio only gave her more time and gave her everything she could give.
As I said before:
"For me, Agatha will do her thing as a ghost, will come back to life (comics canon) and then she will fight some more Rio as foreplay and then they will kiss and make up. Agatha "Boys do die" will have reflected on her blaming Rio for it and then will finally say thank you for the years you have given me with Nicky. And it will still hurt sure, but Agatha will finally say I'm sorry to Rio. And then when the time has really come for Agatha to die, she will welcome Rio's face who will lead her to their cottage home where Nicky will want for her and they will be a happy family."
If you can also fill in the gaps of the backstory with your mind and fanfics ... Because I wished we would have more time with them but it is a limited serie and has always been.
But honestly to answer your question. Yes I would watch it again and again and again because I haven't been invested like that in a ship in so long. They're are really THE power couple. And so, if you can imagine an ending like I said above after the last episode, you should watch it because the love they have for each other is eternal. As Kathryn said, Agatha doesn't want to love Rio but she can't help it. She can't help to love her and care for her. She doesn't always show it and they kinda are toxic (no Rio has never done anything wrong in her life ... I support women's rights but also women's wrong).
What is grief if not love persevering...

A quick list about what I loved about the Agatha All Along finale.
Agatha still isn't a good person. She's not completely evil either though. She looks out for number 1, herself. To protect herself she killed witches before and she's still willing to do it again. Which doesn't mean she is completely uncaring either. She has buttons that can be pushed, mostly the big one that says "Nicky" on it. And I love the way she is torn between "Billy reminds me of my son, but he also very much isn't my own".
Billy also has done shitty things. Much like his mother out of not having proper guidance. When he realizes that he created the road and thus caused suffering for others, his devastation is genuine. And he does lash out by trying to banish ghost!Agatha (honestly understandable reaction). But then he doesn't.
And these two form a most interesting pair for a mentorship!! I need more of that. I am not devastated about Agatha's death, since she is a ghost. Hilarious. Being dead doesn't stop her from being a character that can be easily used. And oh, what a death scene that was. Fantastic! Plus how she insists that it was not a sacrifice. Because she is not nice. Nobody ever dare say anything nice about Agatha Harkness!!
The true devastation are those scenes with Nicolas. Her son. The one who started singing a silly little tune and oops, they created the whole ballad together. FANTASTIC! I love everything about that and how Agatha uses it as a con, when the ballad spreads. A lie she can use. Wow. Epic. Agatha All Along!! She said the road was fake and she meant it. But also can we talk how the ballad did become a protection spell for a child by her mother? Best use ever and it hits harder now.
I do wish there had been a scene prior to Agatha being pregnant. To show her with Rio before. Agatha killer her own mother and her first coven and I'm sure that's when Death took note of her. A witch who kills her own coven, who sucks them dry and leaves bodies for her to collect. I think just a short scene from their first encounters would have helped. Also to explain why Rio feels such sympathy for Agatha that she doesn't take Nicolas right away at birth. ONLY FOR AGATHA TO SUFFER MORE BECAUSE KNOWING HIM WAS EVEN HARDER... more wow. It hurt so much. Rio was so gentle, and how she sends him back to kiss Agatha goodbye. Only for Agatha to find her dead son in her arms, unable to do or say anything. And all of that is WORSE. She said she would never forgive Rio and she kept that promise.
I do think it's a bit weird how easy it is that it comes down to "I will take one of you", even though Billy upset the natural order by taking over William's body. And then he did it for Tommy. Holy shit. The deal and natural balance felt a bit... well, not focused on enough. But just the way Billy comes to help Agatha and does give her some of his power, and she actually does stop herself -- these two! (Honestly I wish Agatha could learn about what went down in MoM. If there is one person who could appreciate massacring a bunch of wizard monks just to follow an insane plot to get some children back - it should be Agatha.)
JEN IS ALIVE! And she has her powers back. From Agatha. Fuck it, Agatha All Along, who knew.
Agatha still isn't good. She was an opportunistic witch and now she can be a cunty ghost mentor. The way she says that she is not ready to face her son, breaks my heart. Maybe it's also because she used their song to kill more witches and he didn't like that part all too much.
What a great trip. The big reveal hidden in plain sight. A very character focused emotional journey, yet some dangling threads to connect it to ge greater known Marvelverse, pushing the door open for Tommy (I'm glad they told us right away and nobody has to now make up theories how his soul was around and why didn't Wanda sense him at least). I think it would be fun if this has the greater effect of making the road real and that others can now walk this path (with all the dangers attached), but that doesn't matter and it's probably this isolated event. Jen survived the road and she found sisterhood along the way.
Oh, in that fight between Rio and Agatha, I like how Agatha tried to use the things she learned about protection and healing, also of course listening to Lilia's last warning. Oh Agatha, you would be better off with a coven, you know.
#ramblings#I don't want it to be over#and I don't wanna wait three more years until this storyline is picked up again... ugh

So with the Wayward Son vibe, I FINALLY read Carry On after months postponing it so here’s my takes no one asked for
This Simon kid is so edgy like just calm the fucking down boy it's just a train trip
I mean, who the hell gets into a cab and thinks about sleeping while a stranger drives you to a secluted location wtf
I wish i could use that taking away spell with the mess i do in my life
This whole Hogwarts vibe isn’t just me yes?
I known Penny for two pages but i'd marry her already Micah boy be damned
Who the hell is Lucy and why does this feels like a big foreshadowing
I would also eat butter with a spoon i can't judge this boy anymore
I want to know baz and baz didn't showed up yet where are you undead boy
Baz's name is so ridiculus i had to read four times to understand that simon's pov wasn't fucking with me omg
It does sound vampirey though
This teacher Simon likes it's creepy
This woods scene and how the fairy or whatever talks to Simon i love this thing
Harry-stalking-Draco walked so Simon-stalking-Baz could run
Is this a motherfucking Twilight reference
THE SEXUAL TENSION ON THIS SCENE THOUGH
"I don't think undeath would improve you, snow. It would just ruin your complexion." Hmmmmm
"You're the worst Chosen One to ever be Chosen." I mean, it could be me talking while a see the disaster that is Simon Snow or it could be this dark haired Draco Malfoy we will never know
This little children song it's fucking creepy i remember the first time i heard it was on a episode of csi Miami and it creeped me the hell out
Is davy the mage? I think so but i also don't know because at the first chapters the mage reminded me of Dumbledore so i don't trust this hoe
*hagrids voice* you're the bomb Simon
Oh the FIGHT
THE HANDKERCHIEF
I feel a little bad that i know the real ship here but i'm laughing anyway because Simon is so obsessed with baz like, kid i hate to break it to ya but you've been hooked
"if he weren't a vampire, baz'd be bloody perfect" oh im sure this one will come back and bite you in the ass
I hope literally
(i'd do anything to bring him back) oh
Oh he's so gonne and doesn't know sweetpea
Poor Natasha and the little Kiss? Is simon going to Kiss baz temple?? I NEED TO KNOW
Is lucie his mom she seems lovely (Hope this one does not come back to Bite me in my ass)
OH GOD BAZ IS IN DE HOUSE FINALLY
But also it's like 2 am should i just keep going
I just read baz first paragraph and i already love this drama queen and that's it i'm not sleeping apparently
Baz really is that bitch
“I am never telling anyone i was kinapped” I mean BOY WTF
"I'll take you to McDonald's" not to say it took me a second to realize she meant the fastfood chain but fionna's great
Omg he's worried about his class rank
about penelope passing him
Isn’t this the most Draco x Hermione shit i ever read
I love fiona
I love two Bros noticing the other is just too thin
Oh these two
"blue eyes. bronze curls. the fact that simon snow is the most powerful magician alive. that nothing can hurt him, not even me.that simon snow is alive.that i'm hopelessly in love with him."
HERE WE GO FOLKS THIS IS GOING TO HURT I JUST KNOW IT AND I LOVE IT
"i wish that i had never figure it out. that i love him."
Okay i get back what i said this Fiona is fucking sketchy
Baz is all like "god Agatha Just move i'm gAY"
Oh Jesus if i thought Simon was hooked, baz it's just fucking whipped
"Definitely more disappointed in my queerness than my undeadness" omg
Omg this poor thing has so much self hatred over being a vampire he actually hopes snow will kill him and will be all poetic and shit
I'm just waiting for the moment when simon will be like that meme 'i want to give him things!! Like blowjobs and self steem!!!”
Poor lucy
Omg baz is so worried that his soon-to-be-boo isn’t eating properly he brought snacks to the meeting: GOALS
Omg and he expecting Penny to be there to start the brainstorm i can't breath
Sir there's an actual dragon on the countryard
Oh wouldn't be poetic if the mage find out the thing he's been looking for is actually this vamp boy to hold Simon back
"i'm thinking violent thoughts at you constantly." bitch please you think about smuching his face
Oh he's so gonne
They are holding hands!! Peak romance
Okay, my mistake. Inviting your sworn enemy to spend the holidays with you: THIs is Peak Romance tm
Baz, baby, this is not how flirting with your crush works
Am i paranoid or Nicky sounds a lot like Nico you know
Oh never mind it's him
“Kiss him? Kill him? Improvise?” This is gay panic right here
Simon sweetheart did you just thought about hanging out with baz in libraries counts as a date
SIMON KISSED HIM
HE KISSED HIM BACK
Baz is a disaster gay i’m not even surprised
Oh god when Agatha finds out that all of baz fussing was because he liked simon she's gonna die
Oh aren't they already fighting like an old married couple
Penny will have a migraine when she realize she got the love triangle dinamic a little wrong
God Simon that was a low blow leaving with your ex right in front of baz’s salad
Oh never mind he came back
"i'm not a very good boyfriend." No shit sherlock
Simon you canNOT go around asking people if they're anorexic omg
oh dear davy is creepy as fuck
I feel like i cannot trust any adult of this book
Baz thinks Simon is criminally good-looking oh Jesus christ
"everything makes me want to kiss you." G o n e
"because we match" ooooownn
right from this moment on everything just went down the hill so i actually forgot to write my coments here but!! here’s my general idea of the last book i guess
i was so right to not trust davy what a fucking menace he is
i mean the idea of making the school more acessible to those with weak magic was great HOWEVER!!! try to force the coming of the chosen one by fucking sacrificing your wife’s and kid’s life it’s horrible
and he fucked everything thanks for that
and wtf how could he abandon a baby like that fuck you davy
snow being his middle name i almost cried, lucy was too pure for this world
after the failed ritual and simon giving up his powers everything felt a little too much rushed but who am i to judge
i really loved that baz came back to finish school, i wish penny and simon could have done it too although their reasons are completely valid
agatha deserves everything okay
i’m still heartbroken about simon though, he loved magic so much i really hope he can get a little back at wayward son
i just really liked the ending, i kept postponing it thinking there was some cliffhanger at the end so when i heard about the sequel i just kept there
so anyway i guess this weekend i’m reading wayward son because i liked the suffering
