just because it sounds ridiculous to you doesnt make it less valid or less true.
we all go through life living different lives and experiences and having beliefs and values that dont align with other people.
it doesnt make it more or less valid especially when you have a good heart. & a kind and understanding soul.

While I still don't think the show has done enough to show why the world despises and fears male channelers (since it really should've been embedded into the world building, so far we only know that the Aes Sedai hate and fear them) and it does kinda lessen the impact of the narrative that none of the EF5 had at least an initial gut reaction to Rand being able to channel. I do wonder how they're gonna handle that topic moving forward, cause it kinda has to be addressed now that Rand is actively channeling. I could see it being expanded more deeply as Rand's madness progresses/tie it into his arc.
the show has made it ABUNDANTLY clear that Male Channelers Are Considered Bad News By All. it IS embedded into the worldbuilding. was the king saying that logain's gone mad and trying to kill him not enough for you? was the people of tar valon jeering and throwing fruit at him not enough for you? was rand and mat saying "hey if i'm a male channeler please kill me" not enough for you? was rand's terror the second he realized selene saw him channel not enough for you? was selene's act of how a normal person would react to finding out her boyfriend can channel not enough for you? was his heartbroken yet unsurprised reaction to her rejection not enough for you? was the whole backstory of a male channeler causing the apocalypse not enough for you? do you think that show-onlys are completely incapable of putting all these pieces together along with aes sedai treatment of male channelers and coming to the conclusion that male channelers are probably not very popular with most people and it's going to be very tough for rand that he is one?
literally what else should they have done that would make sense within the very small world and very early story of the first 2 seasons/3 books that they didn't already do? shown emond's fielders sitting around the dinner table talking about how much they hate and fear male channelers when none of them has ever met one and thus it's not relevant to their lives? wasted time doing a whole sidequest for rand in s2 where his abilities are discovered by some Average Citizens and they react badly? shit all over show!mat's characterization and given him a negative reaction to rand in s2 that would not make sense for his current show headspace, just for the sake of furthering rand's randpain? i'm sick of the rand stans who act like rand is the only character who matters and mat's characterization should be sacrificed just so we can go "oh poor rand uwu even his own best friend is mean to him". portraying mat in 2x06 as the sort of person who bullies and kicks his best friend while he's down would've been beneficial because......? what is so wrong with the show making the ef5 feel like mutually loyal friends instead of "rand is the best and most loyal friend in the world but the rest are little shits who abandon him as soon as the going gets tough"? seeing as in the books, mat continues to be an extremely loyal friend to rand throughout the series but most readers are too stupid to see through his unreliable narration and realize he doesn't mean it when he says that rand channeling is like him eating babies, i'm not surprised the show decided to simplify things in order to convey the true heart of mat's character (loyal and caring friend to rand) in a more obvious manner.
and i guarantee you that no show-only is going "oh, it's only aes sedai who have a problem with male channelers, everyone else thinks they're cool". that's not happening. show-onlys are not stupid, and they understand that male channelers are considered bad news by all; or maybe they haven't thought much yet about how male channelers are viewed by the average public, but in future seasons once we see rand getting shit from the average public, they are not going to be surprised or confused or go "but i thought it was only aes sedai who had a problem with them and everyone else thinks they're cool?", they're going to go "oh, well we've seen how much aes sedai hate them, so it makes sense that everyone else does too". stop. think for 2 seconds about "have i actually seen a large number* of show-onlys misunderstanding X and/or do i think it's plausible that a large number of show-onlys would be likely to misunderstand X, or do show-onlys have enough context clues to figure out X for themselves or to be unsurprised when X is expanded on and made more explicit in future seasons and i'm working myself up into a state over a non-issue?"
*there are always going to be a handful of people incapable of critical thinking who willfully misunderstand what the show is showing us, just like there are readers like that with the books, hence unless a LARGE number of general-population show-onlys are misunderstanding X, as opposed to just 20 idiots on twitter, i do not consider it a failure by the show in portraying X.

I think one of the funniest things about Zorian is his reaction to Zach's revenge.
Like, Zorian broke his number one promise to Zach. He broke his trust, too. He did what Jornak did! You know, Zach's ex-best friend? He tampered with Zach's head! Unlike Jornak, it wasn't malicious, but still!
And he also traumatised Zach! He faked his death right in front of him, made Zach watch him get stabbed. Zach was probably in shock, started grasping at straws of how Zorian might not be dead, cried his eyes out in their special spot, cried himself to sleep.
Then, a month later in the epilogue, Zach is using Kirelle to get revenge and it gives Zorian a trauma induced panic attack. Zorian not only calls it "petty revenge crap" he also goes: It happened like a month ago + what's the big deal anyway :/ At least he didn't punch me this time....
Petty crap! He calls it petty crap! Zach uses Zorian's trauma to hurt him in the name of revenge and Zorian just kinda goes: damn bro. You fr? Ain't you tired :/?
He's so fucking unbothered after the initial panic it's hilarious. And the way he dismisses the mind thing as happening a month ago as if he didn't severely traumatise his best friend. Like duh he's still upset!! What the hell Zorian??!?

reuploading a handful of clips to replenish my Daffy Doodles tag since the quality of prior videos makes my skin crawl; it almost feels like a cop out to call this my favorite Bob McKimson short because it’s his first! doesn’t that accidentally imply it’s all downhill from there?? that’s furthest from the truth!
either way, it is true his shorts don’t often boast such ambitious directorial maneuvers such as this one, which is why it’s one of my favorite parts of one of my favorite cartoons ever made. Porky crawling into frame could not be executed more perfectly, the momentum of the camera and animation swaying back and forth is genuinely hypnotic… it’s perfect. animated by one of animation’s many unsung heroes, Dick Bickenbach (with Tolly Kirsanoff doing the establishing wide shot)

the trouble is that sometimes you create a character who is Kind of the Worst. and then you get extremely extremely attached to the character and have to re-come to terms with the fact that they kinda suck except its heartbreaking this time

Why do people immediately think Nightmare and Dream's ability to feel emotions=empathy?
Empathy is defined, from the Oxford Language as "the ability to understand and share the feelings of another."
So for empathy you need to understand the others emotions, and be able to share that feelings.
It is never said Nightmare and Dream will feel the same though or understand!! They just can sense the feelings. They might not be able to empathize with the other person, they just know they might feel bad, but they might not understand why fully or feel bad as well.
Now, sympathy is, as from the Oxford Language, "feelings of pity and sorrow for someone else's misfortune" or "understanding between people; common feeling.", which much more fits!!
My conclusion is that Nightmare and Dream don't have to have empathy. They are probably more sympathetic. If anyone knows any other words that would describe them, please give. This just bugs me a bit.

is sushi soucy’s music supposed to make me cry or am I just a wimp. like. circumstantial wallflower makes me cry every time. so does I deserve to bleed. am I that empathetic and/or sympathetic or am I just deadass not tough enough. like. baby (/p) are you ok? do you need a hug or someone to talk to? it’s making me sadder every day that the coolest guy ever hurts so much. I need someone to give him a hug or something. </3

Honestly as much as I was gasping by The Way Misaki Went Out, there was essentially no other way for this really to go. She was always going to go too soon because the reason she took Miri in was her ticking clock. When Misaki died, was Miri supposed to go stay with the grandfather, a man she's likely never met, or at least has no relationship with? Everything about Misaki coming back into Miri's life, while heartbreaking and sympathetic, was also shortsighted and selfish. A relationship made for the parent rather than for the child, like what's been shown with the certified Buddy Daddies. And it speaks volumes to at least the character writing, I think, that you can't really fault Misaki for what she does. I think the inevitable tragedy of it all makes it spicier.
Anyway. Foaming at the mouth thinking about how the fuck I'll cope next week ❤️.

Bout to end an 18 year friendship by telling a bitch to get a job and move the fuck out because she has been nonstop complaining to me about how much her family sucks and how much she would like to have my parents as if she hasn't been living at home unemployed since she dropped out of college 5 years ago meanwhile I left home at 18 and never went back because my dad makes me nauseous to be around and does she know that everyone in my family hates him? No. So it's not really her fault but she's also just one of those people you can't give tough love to without her reacting in a "oh so you hate me" kind of way and never get over it- and I really don't hate her but I do want to grab her by the shoulders and shake her brain around and pals I'm at my limit 😀

god, do people just... express emotions on accident? is that it? because every time i express something other than unbridled joy it's a deliberate and calculated move... isn't it, if you don't like someone/what they're doing you make micro changes to your behavior and then when they ask about it you say it's fine because that's the script for that situation..? if you're uncomfortable you show it in the "im trying to hide this feeling" way... like you're perfectly capable of not showing any emotion but that's not what you're supposed to do. people are supposed to be able to tell that you're hiding something you have to hit that sweet spot. and if they're close they can ask you what's up and if you're feeling rebellious you can tell them and then you can talk about it. if you're upset and "hiding" it and the person doesn't notice that's their fault. they're not doing their part in the social interaction. right?

thinking lots about the dsmp finale and one thought that keeps popping up is 'did c!dream have empathy for c!tommy' in it, there are scenes that hint at it, but its difficult to tell.
saying 'I am (the villain), I tortured you" - very well could just be him stating a fact
giving c!tommy the l'manberg picture after saying he wanted simpler times - him recognizing that l'manberg was a simple time, potentially realising c!tommys perspective to a degree
taking off his helmet as c!tommy requested - letting them mutually have an understanding
by the end of it, abruptly stops climbing up and instead of trying to escape, he looks at c!tommy - could be just to hear what c!tommy meant, but one could interpret differently
