Archaelogical Survey Of India , । https://www.instagram.com/p/Cd03HQMPz3y/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

History in stone
Yaganti Uma Maheswara Temple which has a growing Nandi near Banaganepalli in Kurnool is a big draw among tourists.
Archaelogical Survey of India has confirmed that the idol increases by one inch every 20 years.
Here water flows into the pushkarini from the bottom of the hill through the mouth of Nandi. The water is fresh and sweet, as it comes from the hills. No one knows how the water reaches the pond all year round.
Sage Agastya bathed in pushkarini and worshipped Siva
Once when Agastya was performing penance, a pack of crows descended on the region and started cawing loudly. Irritated by the sound, Agastya cursed the crows and said that they could not hover over Yaganti
Locals believe that the crow, which has the habit of pilfering and thieving, is the vehicle of Lord Shani

After all who would say a no to something which is a different part of the world. A part which is never going to be easily accessible. It doesn’t matter if one knows swimming or not, he or she is definitely going to drown. But, drown in the magic and creativity of underwater life. Scuba diving is not about holding breaths or breathing air supplied through pressure from the surface, they rely on breathing gas cylinder (compressed air) and long underwater endurance. Scuba divers say when their feet touches the underwater sand, it’s something they only could have imagined in their dreams. Yes, it is definitely unbelievable. Here is the list of best Scuba diving sites in India.
Tumblr media

The Andaman and Nicobar is a paradise for eco tourists. The blue clear crystal waters offers a variety of coral reefs and fish life. It is the undiscovered gem of India because of no mass tourism.
The diving sites are Havelock and Neil which leads to Barren Islands and Invisible Banks. Havelock is 54 km from port blair and is the home for Rajan, the ocean swimming elephant of India. The dives are generally of 2 kinds, one of 30 min and the other one is of 60 min. It is mandatory for a person to practice in shallow waters before going to deep. The islands are also famous for its mysterious remains of sunken ships and beautiful sunset on Radhanagar beach.
Lakshadweep Islands
Crystal clear lagoons, little explored and a group of 36 islands is known as the Lakshadweep. It is the treasure of the Arabian sea. Having a variety of fishes, crabs and corals makes it one of the internationally known destinations.
The scuba diving locations over here are the Agatti island, Bangaram island and Kadmat island. Agatti is the gateway to Lakshadweep and Bangaram gives one the opportunity to encounter the best flora and fauna of the region. Diving in the Kadamat islands can be done during both day and night. It is popular for its undisturbed coral reefs. The Lakshadweep can be reached by a cruise journey of 250 km from Kochi. It is famous for its white sand beaches, coconut palms and crystal clear water.
Goa
Who doesn’t wants to go to Goa ? Yes, this is the place every youth of the country wants to go. It is the most popular Indian destinations around the world. The vibrant culture, scenic landscapes and warm safe waters due to the absence of currents makes Goa the safest and best place for beginners in diving.
Grande Island and Sao Gorge are the scuba diving locations of Goa. Grande Island, a 10min boat ride from Bogmalo beach attracts most of the crowd because of its attractions like the SS Mary ( a sunken steamship ) and quaint coral bay. The diving ranges between 3-30m and a 45min pool training session for the divers before the dive. For advanced diving, 5 classes are given in 2 days for the divers. The diving session ranges between 1 - 2.5 Hrs. Goa has less visibility in its waters as compared to other diving sites but the party capital of India and its charm makes up for it.
Netrani Island
Also known as the Pigeon island, this is the heart of India’s diving because of the heart shape of the island from above. Famous for its variety of corals and colourful marine life this is the most visited scuba diving location in the western coast of India.
Netrani island is 19km from the temple town of Murudeshwar, Karnataka and can be sighted from the main coastline. It takes 1hr to reach there by a ferry but landing on the Island is not possible. Some of the divers are seen Snorkeling around the island for hours. Whale sharks, dolphins and turtles can be spotted underwater during the dive. The Netrani Island has clear visible waters and the flora and fauna of the region is considered one of the best in the country.
Dwarka
Dwarka is cosidered as the most interesting diving site in India. With a lot of history behind it, Dwarka is famous for the sunken city of Lord Krishna in the Arabian sea. The city which was the capital of Lord Krishna, submerged in the sea after his death. Archaelogical survey of India proved the existence of Dwarka with the remains of sandstone walls, grid of streets and remains of pottery 70 ft beneath sea water.
Scuba diving has lately become a major attraction in the pilgrimage city of Dwarka. One should take a ferry ride from Okha to the island of Beyt Dwarka, which is 30 km from the main town for diving activities. The island is surrounded by temples, white beaches, coral reefs and is the most ideal spot for scuba diving. The most attractive activity is to explore the remains of the ancient city.
