It’s Never Hard to Find Beautiful Things Outside by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: A setting looking to the north while taking in views across the northern New Mexico landscape and Rio Grande River Gorge. I was located on the bridge itself. The Rio Grande is flowing by and through the gorge with ridges and peaks of the Sangre de Cristo Range and Taos Mountains off in the distance.

Why don’t you explore the largest brick arch bridge in Japan ?

Usui Pass at an altitude of 956 m at the border between Matsuida Town, Anaka City, Gunma Prefecture and Karuizawa Town, Kita-Saku County, Nagano Prefecture. Once called a "traffic challenge", the site was the first in Japan to introduce an opto-style railway, with its predecessors bringing together technology. The largest brick arch bridge in Japan, completed in December 25, 1892. It is a remnant of the Abt-style railway era and has been designated as a national important cultural property. Five examples from the second to the sixth bridge survive, and the third bridge over the Yokogawa － Karuizawa section is commonly called "Megane Bridge. Its beautiful structure and artistry are loved by many people, and it is also popular as a spot for autumn leaves in autumn.

It takes 2 hours to drive from Tokyo station.

Under the New River Gorge Bridge (New River Gorge National Park & Preserve) by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: A view looking to the west across the New River Gorge while standing just out from underneath the namesake bridge. My thinking in composing this image was to have that view looking across and underneath the bridge itself with its intricate structures present. I went with a more leveled-on look across the setting as I felt the angle helped to maximize the arch and other structures of the bridge. While it would have been nice to have had sunny, blue skies that afternoon, the overcast skies did helps to mute the brightness present and allow me to focus more on the bridge. I later worked with control points in DxO PhotoLab 4 and then made some adjustments to bring out the contrast, saturation and brightness I wanted for the final image.
