彡 𝑩𝑶𝑵𝑫 . . . .ᐟ ⭑ HEADCANONS
♡ — lumen au headcanons .ᐟ ♯. ft Finn ⌇
♡ — content : gender neutral reader, based on @motthe lumen au, fluff, first meeting, finn x reader !
°ᡣ𐭩 . Starting with his lumen, Finn’s is one of the more mischievous ones. It likes bothering and annoying you whenever it can and will sometimes even shove stuff from tables like a cat would to get you to look at it.
°ᡣ𐭩 . It thrives under attention, even if said attention is you being annoyed at it. The worst thing you could do is ignore it, then it’ll try to get your attention until you either give up and give it to it or it apologizes to you.
°ᡣ𐭩 . Most would assume his lumen is yellow with gold, but it’s actually green like his eyes with some black and specks of gold. It has a small crack, which you later learn is similar to the scar on his face.
art by me
°ᡣ𐭩 . The crack is very sensitive and Finn will react depending how you touch it. If you’re not gentle, he’ll be hissing in pain. If you’re gentle with it, it’ll feel like you’re soothing the pain he sometimes still feels from it.
°ᡣ𐭩 . When Finn first received his lumen, he was quick to show it off and brag about it and how beautiful it was. He’d start hiding it after his father passed away and he had the family business passed down to him. He knew what people would try to do with his lumen, he’d seen his father do it to others and would do the same. No hard feelings, it’s just business.
°ᡣ𐭩 . The only time he ever has your lumen out from your hiding spot in his jacket is when he’s alone. None of the chem barons have seen it, most assuming you were already dead.
°ᡣ𐭩 . He likes keeping your lumen in his sights if he isn’t holding it. Both for security reasons and because he just loves looking at you. He often has you in his hands, holding you gently and pressing gentle kisses to it, always mindful of his jaw.
°ᡣ𐭩 . Your lumen is one of the few things that can calm him down. Often times you stop him from doing stupid shit by “pushing” him back. Whenever he feels negative feelings through your bond, he talks to your lumen like he’s talking to you, asking what’s wrong and if you’re ok, before gently kissing it.
°ᡣ𐭩 . Meeting his soulmate is not the usual way you’d like to tell the grandkids, you’re a target he decided to take on by himself. Maybe you pissed off the wrong person or maybe you know too much, Finn doesn’t ask, he gets the job done.
°ᡣ𐭩 . He stalks you all day, trying to find the perfect opportunity to strike, and when he does, he’s suddenly stopped by your lumen running off from its hiding spot and over to you. He’s left shocked but quickly moves to stop it until he sees yours touch his, a bright light coming from them.
°ᡣ𐭩 . He’s the first one to move up to you, a chuckle and a swag that makes him look like he’s naturally flirty and charismatic, but you can see in his eyes the look of adoration and love he tries to hide whenever he stared at your lumen, and how he’d be staring at you.

My first Finn ask!! Yay! I hope this is good!
"I watched arcane for the plot." The plot:
(fluff, gn!reader, a little smidge of a jealous reader, I think this is it!)
˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚˚₊‧꒰
Your job is pretty easy, you may have a bunch of stuff to do. But it's not too stressful, especially since your boss is none other than your husband. You're sitting on the edge of his desk as he's going on about the stuff that happened today, how the assignment he gave the chem barons got messed up by the firelights. You're not even sure if you're fully listening, you're honestly just staring at him. His words go in one ear and out the other, but the way his voice scratches your brain enables you from diverting your attention.
The moment is interrupted by a loud knock at the door, you quickly hop off his desk and take your place beside him. “Come in.” Finn's voice drones, clearly already uninterested and the person isn't even inside his office yet. One of the chem-baroness’ awkwardly steps inside the office, you don't recognize her, although you've seen her around. Finn looks up from his desk, his gaze staring holes in the poor woman, he leans back in his chair and motions for her to start talking, and she does. Finn listens to her, not as intently as she would have liked, occasionally butting in to give his comments, though he doesn't do or say much else.
When she leaves there's a, uncomfortable, silence that takes over the room. You have to give it to her, she goes on for a long while, longer than you would have liked, but it's impressive nonetheless. Although you felt like ripping her hair out halfway through when she started to give Finn the ‘fuck me’ eyes, though you don't blame her, and if it weren't for Finn grabbing your thigh and silently telling you no, you would have.
You scoff, “I don't think I've ever heard someone talk so long before.” You sit back up on the edge of his desk, swinging your legs over so you're facing Finn this time. One of his hands rests comfortably on your thigh, rubbing it as he shakes his head, fighting a smile. “She made some interesting points.” He looks up at you, leaning his cheek on your knee, the cold metal of his prosthetic jaw causes you to flinch away from him. He laughs at your antics and gives your knee a kiss, as good of a kiss as he can.
You grab on to his left arm, lifting it up to grab his hand. You trace your finger over the cold metal of the wedding band that adorns his ring finger. He chuckles and his eyes flick down to your own wedding band. “I have no idea how no one has noticed yet,” you think out loud, your finger trailing up his ring finger and up his arm, tracing some of his tattoos. “I mean, it's not like we actively hide it.” You finish your thought, looking at the tattoo on his chest and tracing it with your finger, he sighs and grabs your hand. “I don't know.” He brings your hand up to kiss your palm.
You slide off the desk and into his lap, placing your arms around his neck, as he lets go of your hand, moving to cup your face, he brings his face closer, connecting your lips together. A soft kiss, his silent way of saying ‘I love you.’ You reciprocate before pulling away and resting your forehead on his. You smile and he kisses you again, it's a little awkward to kiss someone with a prosthetic jaw, but you've gotten used to it.
It's these soft moments that you two have together to remind you both that, no matter what, you will always have each other. “Till death do us part.” He mumbles into the kiss and you laugh breathlessly. “Till death do us part.” You repeat him, resting your head on his shoulder. Both of you enjoying the peace of the moment.

Hi I'm just thinking how funny it would be, being Silco's kid and dating. He would never suggest you weren't allowed, he wouldn't want to make you unhappy, but he definitely has something snarky to say about anyone you like. "Yes, they'd make a good partner...if you manage to trim the extra arrogance off." "Darling, they couldn't pour water out of a boot if the instructions were on the heel." "Them?...Interesting choice. 🙄"
Lsnkxdjxkndmxnnsnzndndmdndn
Your dating options are very limited lmao
...
Your father was a man of refined tastes despite his poor background. He always strived for more, for better. As the night went on and your boyfriend tossed metal coins onto the bar and you drank together, the alcohol made your throat bubble with laughter and burn from the sting.
Finn wasn't exactly your first choice either surprisingly enough but as time went on he won you over. Silco would never doubt his baby's intellect but he questioned his own sanity and parenting when he saw you holding hands with Finn. You had grown up in the Lanes together and been on and off again friends. Doing odd jobs here and there. His mom was apart of the Revolution your father was planning with Vander and while Silco and your uncle didn't want you involved since you were still a child, Finn was more than ready to fight. For his freedom, for Zaun.
Silco will give him credit where it's due, Finn was no coward. Just an idiot.
"It's a beautiful night..." He mumbles softly his pale green eyes focusing on you as he pulls you closer too him. His gold jaw grazes your skin when he leans down to speak to you, his thick voice melting like candle wax sending shivers down your spine as his breath tickled your ear. Breathing in Zauns air and the smell of Finn and the drinks you'd both had, you were happy he suggested to walk you home instead of taking a carriage.
"Is it?" You tease him with a soft hum leaning into his sturdy frame.
Smiling and shaking his head with a tsk at your playful nature, you shift his jacket closer as you walked down Zauns quiet night streets. You continued to let yourself get lost in your thoughts as the two of you walked, enjoying his company and the familiar Zaun sounds. As his hand snakes tighter around your waist you hummed content, leaning more into his touch as you thought back on the origins of your relationship and how this all became to be.
You were often the one patching him up when his fights went wrong, playfully scolding him as you did. As he gave the back of your ear a kiss you closed your eyes liking the feel of cool metal against your skin.
The prosthetic jaw had been your last straw as a kid. You repeatedly told him to be more careful, to not get himself hurt, not to do anything stupid and there he was half dead at your feet with no where else to go. You had helped him that last time with some shimmer you swiped from your father and then you left.
As he began pecking your face with small kisses you laughed at the sensation, pulling away from the ticklish feeling only for him to pull you closer. As he cupped your face with his hand serpentine eyes focused on you, your glad he didn't stay away.
The kiss was sweet and tangy tasting like whiskey and honey, which you're pretty sure was his last drink. As your arms wrapped behind his neck his arms stayed around your waist. The kiss had an undertone of metal like always but that didn't bother you one bit. You smiled into the kiss hands tangling into the back of his shirt as you lean into it depending the kiss. When you pull away for air he smiles, eyes mischievous and hooded as his hair falls loose framing his beautiful face. The gold he decorated himself with shines in the neon lights around you while his green eyes glow. You got to see this more gentle but still mischievous side of him that no one else was able to see and it made you head spin and heart soar.
When did you fall in love? You couldn't remember.
As he brings a hand up to stroke your cheek you lean into the touch feeling the soft leather of his gloves and his calloused fingertips. When he gives you another kiss and there's always another your nose crinkles as you smile kissing back. You think you remember now alcohol and lack of air making your head a little dizzy.
Finn was one of your fathers Chem Barons. The first time you saw his golden jaw, yours dropped. When you regained your composure not letting him see how shaken you were, his green eyes focused solely on you the entire meeting not listening to a word your father was saying. He made his intentions clear, that he would win you back and it was only a matter of time. As Finn pulled away and you leaned forward not wanting the kiss to end you supposed he was right.
"My firecracker..." He mumbles and you melt at the nickname.
He was known as a player, a frequent employer for many woman and men of the night. He stopped all and any flings declaring you were the only one in his life even before you fell for him and got together. While many brothels knew him and many prostitutes and escorts sought after him he dropped them altogether to focus on you. And to his credit he's never faltered, never been tempted. You were always the one and as he leads you back to the Last Drop, opening the door for you like a gentlemen with Sevika giving him a disapproving look as Silco puffs a cigar and makes sure you make it to the stairs and your room safely you knew it. Because he was always your one too.

♡ Day Three: Anywhere Else ♡

(Sorry the ending kinda sucks, babes.)
❥ Word Count: 641
— ♡ —
(Y/N) hated Chem Baron meetings. They knew why they were necessary, but that didn't stop how much (Y/N) dreaded having to go to them. 'Having' was a bit of an exaggeration. (Y/N) didn't have to go, not if they really didn't want to, Finn wasn't that cruel, and especially not with them. However, Finn liked having (Y/N) there with him as he dealt with Silco's nonsensical droning about how the Shimmer operation wasn't running how he thought it should. Finn would tell (Y/N) that there was something about their weight on his lap and against his chest that he found so grounding.
Perched comfortably on Finn's lap, (Y/N) played with his fingers as they always did. They traced the tattoos across his knuckles and occasionally picked softly at the edges of his gloves as they listened carefully to the discussion around them. What they heard was usually the same every time, but (Y/N) knew why they came with Finn every time even though they didn't want to. They listened to every word that was said and carefully watched the mannerisms of everyone in the room that they could see.
Their eyes caught everything. Every small sigh, every twitch, and most importantly, who those little motions were aimed at or what their cause was. (Y/N) wasn't a snitch, far from it, but they were more than willing to secretly by Finn's little bird. The looked harmless enough for the Lanes; they always seemed so focused on playing with Finn's fingers or him flicking his lighter. They only ever noticeably looked away from Finn or the space around them unless someone shouted or slammed their hand against the table.
So far, the meeting was peaceful, and as (Y/N) silently hoped as they moved a hand to play with Finn's hair, the meeting was also almost over. Despite dubbing themselves Finn's little spy of sorts, they still got bored if they went on too long. After all, they were usually always the same. The only feelings they welcomed were from Finn, when he would squeeze their waist when irritated or grab their hands to keep them still for a moment. The room (Y/N) was stuck in was nothing but tense and often cold. Finn's small gestures were the only things (Y/N) truly welcomed.
As Silco continued to speak, Finn sighed deeply and quietly. (Y/N) held back a laugh at Finn seeming to be as bored as they were. (Y/N) felt Finn's head move under their hand, then Finn's eyes meeting theirs. They smiled at him softly, not caring that neither of them were potentially missing details. (Y/N) could tell that Finn was long over this meeting as well. Hell, he hated them as much as they did. Finn smirked at (Y/N), moving the hand that was in theirs to rest against their collarbone, softly, teasingly, tapping against it.
Finn loved the heat he felt spreading up (Y/N)'s neck and the sweet smile on their lips and the contradictingly sly shine in their eyes. By this point, Finn had openly surrendered all of his attention to the darling person on his lap, making it painfully obvious that he wanted to be anywhere other than where he was. Boredly, Finn looked away from (Y/N)'s eyes, moving his gaze straight to Silco with a slight glare. He didn't know if Silco was done, he didn't care if Silco was done talking. Regaining his smirk, Finn looked back at (Y/N), his smirk seeming to curl more above his golden lower jaw. "Wanna go home?" He asks, refusing to look anywhere other than (Y/N).
"Pretty please." They answer quietly, laughing at suddenly being lifted into Finn's arms, being carried out of the meeting room they were in.

Chapter 6: Ex’s and Ohs
summary : you get invited to a big party downtown Vegas by a well-known celebrity. you decide to bring along the others.
mentions: modern au, fame au, drama, swearing, protective sevika, ex finn, overall finn just being a weirdo
notes: surprise! extra chapter. 🤭
chapters: one, two, three, four, five, six
The next morning, you woke up groggy but determined to stick to your usual routine—it was the only thing grounding you in the midst of all this chaos. You started with your hour-long shower, letting the water cascade over you as you tried to clear your head. Afterward, you brushed your teeth, meticulously went through your 30-minute skincare routine, and finished with a combination of lotion and baby oil that left your skin glowing. By the time you slipped into your classic baby tee and pajama pants combo, you felt like a semblance of yourself again.
Just as you were finishing up, a knock at the door interrupted your moment of peace. You padded over and opened it to find Vi and Jinx standing there, both with wide grins on their faces.
“Good morning,” you greeted them, leaning against the doorframe.
“Hey,” Vi replied, her tone casual but warm. “We were wondering if you wanted to join us for breakfast in the lobby. Haven’t heard from you all night, so we missed you.”
Jinx nodded enthusiastically, her wild blue hair bouncing with the movement. “Yeah, it’s not the same without you. You’ve got the best ideas, and we could really use your input.”
You gave them a small smile, appreciating the effort. “Oh yeah, sure. Just let me grab my stuff.”
Turning back into the room, you grabbed your phone and the bag with your hotel key, then followed them downstairs.
-
The lobby was bustling with activity, the smell of coffee and freshly cooked food wafting through the air. You were immediately struck by how awkward it felt as you approached the table and realized you’d have to sit next to Sevika. The tension between the two of you was palpable, but you pushed through it, plastering a neutral expression on your face as you took your seat.
Jinx, thankfully, was a great buffer, sitting on your other side and diving straight into conversation. “So, I was thinking we could do a retro-style drop for the merch—like 90s grunge but with neon accents,” she said, sliding her sketchbook toward you.
You leaned over to take a look, nodding thoughtfully as you offered suggestions. “What if you use a distressed font for the band name? And maybe incorporate some holographic details for the logos?”
Jinx’s eyes lit up. “Oh, that’s genius!”
Meanwhile, Vi and Caitlyn sat across the table, deep in their own conversation but occasionally looping Sevika in. You could feel Sevika’s presence beside you, her warmth, her voice, the occasional brush of her arm against yours. It was distracting, and you hated how much you noticed it.
The awkwardness shattered when your phone buzzed on the table. You glanced down and gasped, immediately catching everyone’s attention.
“Who is it?” Vi asked, curious.
You didn’t answer, too busy staring at the name on your screen. It was a call from Jayce Talis, the wildly popular YouTuber you had collaborated with a few months back. He was connected to every celebrity, constantly attending the biggest parties, events, and concerts, and making millions while doing it.
“Hello?” you answered, hoping and praying it was actually him.
“Hey, there’s my favorite girl,” Jayce’s smooth voice came through the phone. “I heard you’re in Vegas. You wanna come by one of my parties tonight? I’ll send you the address.”
You bit your lip, your mind racing as you looked at the others seated around the table. “Is it okay if four other people come?” you asked, feeling a flicker of hope.
“Sure, the more the merrier. I’ll send the location now,” Jayce said, his tone easygoing.
“Thank you so much,” you replied, genuinely grateful.
“Of course, babygirl. I’ll see you later,” he said before hanging up.
You placed your phone on the table, noticing everyone staring at you expectantly.
“Who was that?” Caitlyn asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Jayce Talis,” you said with a grin. “We’re invited to one of his parties tonight.”
“Deadass?” Vi’s eyes widened as she leaned forward. “Oh, fuck yeah. I heard his parties are crazy. So crazy you don’t even remember the next morning… no diddy.”
The table broke into laughter, the tension momentarily forgotten as everyone began buzzing with excitement over the plans for the night.
That evening, the hotel suite was a whirlwind of chaos as everyone prepared for the party. Clothes were scattered across the beds, makeup spilled across the countertops, and the music blasted loud enough to vibrate through the walls.
You stood in front of the mirror, adjusting your outfit—a short, sleek black dress with a daring slit up the side, paired with strappy heels that gave you an air of elegance. Your makeup was bold, smoky eyes with a hint of glitter and a deep red lip that made you feel confident. You finished the look with silver jewelry, your hair styled in loose waves that framed your face perfectly.
Caitlyn, ever the meticulous one, walked over and handed you a glass of wine. “You look stunning. Jayce is going to regret not staying on that call longer,” she teased, giving you a playful nudge.
You laughed, taking a sip. “Thanks, Cait. But this isn’t about Jayce. It’s about having fun.”
She smirked. “Well, if Sevika sees you like this, she might eat her words about not being serious.”
Your stomach churned at the mention of Sevika, but you quickly pushed the thought aside. Tonight was supposed to be about letting loose, not dwelling on unrequited feelings.
Meanwhile, Vi and Jinx were already well into the pregame phase, laughing hysterically as they downed shots of tequila. Vi was in a leather jacket and ripped jeans, her go-to look, while Jinx had gone all out in a neon mini dress that screamed chaos. Sevika, on the other hand, had kept it simple yet devastatingly attractive—a black button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled up, paired with dark jeans and boots.
-
By the time you all arrived at the party, the energy was electric. Jayce’s mansion was everything you’d expected—luxurious, sprawling, and filled with people who looked like they belonged on magazine covers. The music thumped through the walls, a mix of EDM and Top 40 hits, as the group made their way inside.
The night quickly spiraled into drinking games, loud conversations, and dancing. Vi and Jinx had disappeared to the dance floor, while Caitlyn stayed by your side, sipping a cocktail and making small talk with other guests. You were about to join the others when you spotted Sevika across the room.
She was leaning against the bar, her posture relaxed, a drink in hand as she talked to two women who were clearly vying for her attention. One of them rested a hand on her arm, leaning in closer, and you felt your stomach twist.
Your heart sank as Sevika gave a low chuckle, her lips curling into that smirk you hated to love. She wasn’t even trying to hide the fact that she was flirting.
Caitlyn noticed the shift in your expression and followed your gaze. “Oh no,” she muttered, quickly grabbing your arm. “Don’t do this to yourself.”
You tried to pull away. “I just need to—”
“No, you don’t,” Caitlyn interrupted firmly, steering you toward another part of the room. “Come on, let’s get another drink and find something else to focus on.”
Reluctantly, you let her guide you away, but the image of Sevika laughing with those women was burned into your mind. You hated the way it made you feel—jealous, insecure, and foolish. You took a deep breath, silently vowing not to let it ruin your night.
Caitlyn handed you a fresh cocktail and gave you a reassuring smile. “Remember, you’re here to have fun. Don’t let her get in your head.”
You nodded, forcing a smile as you raised your glass. “You’re right. Cheers to that.”
But even as you tried to lose yourself in the party, the nagging ache in your chest remained, a constant reminder that Sevika would never be yours in the way you wanted her to be.
The party was in full swing, and the energy was electric. You and Caitlyn had thrown caution to the wind, taking more shots than either of you probably should have. The alcohol coursed through your veins, making everything brighter, louder, and a little more carefree.
Caitlyn, who rarely let loose like this, was surprisingly keeping up with you. The two of you sang along to every song blasting through the speakers, laughing as you tried to out-dance one another. At one point, Caitlyn leaned in close, her cheeks flushed from the alcohol.
"I think... I think I'm gonna confess to Vi," she blurted out, a mixture of determination and nerves in her eyes.
You paused, blinking at her before breaking into a wide grin. “Do it! You absolutely should! She’d be crazy not to say yes.”
Caitlyn laughed, shaking her head. “This might just be the liquor talking, but I think tonight’s the night.”
You gave her an encouraging push toward where Vi was standing, chatting with some other guests. “Go get her, tiger!”
Caitlyn took a deep breath, muttered something under her breath, and walked off, leaving you alone in the middle of the dance floor. But you didn’t mind. The music was too good, the vibe too perfect.
You found yourself dancing with a group of girls who had gathered nearby, all hyping each other up. You laughed, twirling in your dress, feeling freer than you had in weeks. The bass of the music vibrated through your body, and for a moment, you forgot all about Sevika, Jayce, and everything else weighing on your mind.
Then a finger tapped your shoulder, breaking the spell.
You turned, expecting to see Caitlyn or maybe even one of the girls you'd been dancing with. Instead, your breath hitched as your eyes landed on a familiar face.
“Finn?” you said, your voice laced with disbelief.
He gave you that same charming smirk that had once made your heart flutter. “Hey, gorgeous. What are you doing here?”
“What are you doing here in Vegas?” you asked, crossing your arms.
“I got invited,” he said casually, his voice smooth.
You knew why. Finn wasn’t just any guy; he was a famous actor. His rugged looks and effortless charisma made him a perfect fit for the action and sci-fi movies he starred in. He was always the center of attention, always in the spotlight.
And once, you had been right there with him.
The two of you had been a celebrity power couple. Fans adored how well you matched—your aesthetics, your energy. Everything about your relationship had seemed perfect. And for a while, it had been.
The sex, the lavish dates, the way he spoiled you… it was like living in a dream.
Until the dream turned into a nightmare.
Your chest tightened as the memories came flooding back. Coming to his house to pick up the dog you had adopted together, only to find him in bed with one of his co-stars. The shock, the betrayal, the fury that had led you to throw hands with both of them.
And then, the final blow—him kicking you out of his house in the middle of a storm, leaving you stranded in the pouring rain.
As if that wasn’t enough, you later learned she hadn’t been the only one. Finn had cheated on you with multiple women, and to top it off, he had even stolen money from you on more than one occasion.
Now, standing face to face with him again, you felt a rush of conflicting emotions—anger, hurt, and a flicker of something you didn’t want to admit might still be there.
“What do you want, Finn?” you asked, keeping your tone cold.
He tilted his head, feigning innocence. “Can’t I just say hi? It’s been a while.”
“Not long enough,” you muttered, turning away, but he caught your arm gently, pulling you back.
“Come on, don’t be like that,” he said, his voice soft. “I’ve missed you.”
You stared at him, your jaw tightening. “Missed me? Is that what you told all the other girls too?”
Finn’s smirk faltered for a moment, replaced by something almost resembling regret. “Look, I know I messed up. But maybe we can talk? Somewhere private?”
Before you could respond, you felt a firm hand on your back. Turning, you saw Caitlyn, her expression a mix of concern and warning.
“Everything okay here?” she asked, her eyes narrowing at Finn.
You shook your head, stepping back from him. “Yeah, we’re done here.”
Finn raised his hands in mock surrender, giving Caitlyn a once-over before meeting your eyes again. “Alright, I’ll let you go. But think about it, okay?”
As he walked away, Caitlyn gave you a look. “Are you okay?”
You nodded, though your hands were trembling. “Yeah. Let’s just… get another drink.”
Caitlyn hesitated but eventually nodded, steering you toward the bar. You couldn’t shake the feeling of Finn’s gaze lingering on you, but you pushed it to the back of your mind.
Tonight was supposed to be about fun. You weren’t going to let him ruin that for you. Not again.
The chaotic haze of drinking and partying had left you feeling a little too hot under the collar—agitated, restless, and desperately in need of a moment to yourself. You stumbled your way through the crowd, searching for Jayce. The booming bass of the music thumped in your chest as you finally spotted him perched on top of an expensive-looking table, holding court with a group of people.
“Jayce!” you called, your voice cutting through the noise.
He turned at the sound of your voice, and his face broke into a wide grin. Without hesitation, he hopped down from the table, his movement surprisingly smooth for someone as drunk as he seemed.
“Jesus,” he said, running his eyes over you in a way that made you simultaneously flattered and exhausted. “You look even better than the last time I saw you.”
He pulled you into a warm hug, and you hugged him back, patting his shoulder lightly. Jayce had always been like this—overly confident and unfiltered—but you knew his heart was in the right place.
“Thanks, Jayce,” you said, stepping back. “But, um… where’s the bathroom?”
He waved a hand toward the far corner of the room. “Oh, don’t bother with the public one. Just use mine. It’s upstairs, connected to my suite. See the elevator over there? It’ll take you directly up. My guard will let you in.”
You nodded, grateful for the shortcut. “Thanks, Jayce.”
“No problem,” he said with a wink, before climbing back onto the table.
You made your way to the elevator, a burly security guard already waiting by the doors. Without a word, he pressed the button for you and gave you a curt nod as the doors slid shut.
The ride up was quick, and you were relieved to find Jayce’s suite quiet compared to the chaos downstairs. You stumbled into the bathroom, kicking off your heels as you rushed to relieve yourself. In your slightly drunk state, you didn’t even think to lock the door.
After finishing, you washed your hands, staring at your reflection in the mirror. Your mascara was slightly smudged, and your hair was a little messier than you’d like, but otherwise, you looked… fine. Passable.
The sound of the door opening behind you made your stomach drop. You glanced up into the mirror, your heart sinking as you saw Finn standing there.
“Please, baby, let’s talk,” he said, his voice low and pleading.
You turned to face him, keeping your tone firm. “I’m good, Finn. There’s nothing to talk about.”
As you tried to brush past him, he grabbed you by the waist, his strength keeping you in place as he pressed you back against the wall.
“God, you look so sexy,” he murmured, his eyes dark and focused entirely on you. “Just let me get a kiss. I’ve missed your lips so much.”
Before you could protest, his hand was on your face, tilting it up toward him. You struggled against him, trying to push him away, but he was faster. His lips crashed onto yours, stealing the kiss before you could stop him.
Your mind raced, equal parts shock and anger bubbling to the surface as you fought against his grip. You planted your hands on his chest, shoving him back with as much strength as you could muster.
“Get off me!” you yelled, your voice sharp and trembling.
Finn stumbled back slightly, his expression flickering between surprise and frustration.
“Don’t act like you don’t still want me,” he said, his voice dropping into something darker.
“I don’t,” you spat, your chest heaving. “Stay the hell away from me, Finn. I mean it.”
Before he could say another word, you darted out of the bathroom, grabbing your heels as you made your way back to the elevator. Your hands shook as you pressed the button, praying the doors would close fast enough to keep Finn from following.
When you finally made it back to the party downstairs, your heart was still pounding. The noise of the crowd was both overwhelming and oddly comforting—it meant you weren’t alone. You immediately searched for Caitlyn or anyone you trusted, needing an anchor after what had just happened.
Finn’s presence had ruined the night for you. All you wanted now was to find a quiet corner, breathe, and maybe—just maybe—figure out how to piece yourself back together.
As you made your way back onto the party floor, the noise and flashing lights felt like a cruel reminder of your shaken state. Your heels clicked against the floor as your eyes scanned the crowd, desperately searching for a familiar face. You weren’t thinking much—just running on the hope that someone you trusted could pull you out of the spiral you were sinking into.
Your gaze finally landed on Sevika. She was leaning against the bar, her focus on a small group of girls, flashing them the kind of smirk that had once made your knees weak. Her hand brushed against one of their arms as she leaned in to say something that made them giggle.
For a moment, you hesitated. But then Sevika looked up, her sharp eyes locking onto yours. The instant she noticed the tears streaming down your face, her expression changed. The playful confidence melted away, replaced with concern and something else—something almost protective.
She straightened up immediately, excusing herself from the girls without another word. Her strides were long and purposeful as she closed the distance between you, her brows furrowed.
“Come on,” she said softly, slipping her hand onto your back to guide you. She led you out of the suffocating crowd and into the night air. The quiet of the outdoors was a stark contrast to the chaos inside, and you took in a shaky breath, grateful for the reprieve.
“Hey,” Sevika said, her voice low but insistent. She turned to face you, her hands gently gripping your shoulders. “What’s wrong? What happened?”
“I-I…” You tried to form the words, but they caught in your throat, choked by the sobs you couldn’t hold back.
Sevika crouched slightly, trying to meet your downcast gaze. “Take your time. Just tell me.”
You swallowed hard, finally managing to get the words out. “My ex… he…”
Her jaw clenched immediately. “What did he do? Did he hurt you? Did he touch you? Where did it happen?”
The barrage of questions came quickly, her tone growing harsher with every word. You squeezed your eyes shut, the memories flashing in your mind. “He kissed me,” you finally admitted, your voice trembling. “He made me kiss him.”
Her face darkened instantly, her entire demeanor shifting into something cold and deadly. “What does he look like? What’s his name?”
“Finn,” you said, your voice cracking. “He’s tall, has tattoos everywhere… He’s wearing bright yellow…”
You stopped yourself mid-ramble, suddenly realizing how Sevika’s fists had clenched at her sides, her whole body taut with anger. “Why?” you asked, your voice barely above a whisper.
“I’m gonna kill him,” she muttered, her voice low and venomous. It wasn’t meant for you, but she said it loud enough for you to hear.
Her words sent a shiver down your spine. “Sevika, no,” you said, reaching out to grab her arm.
Her gaze snapped to yours, her eyes burning with a fury you’d never seen before. “He forced himself on you,” she said, her voice trembling with barely contained rage. “You think I’m just gonna let that slide?”
“You can’t,” you insisted, your voice rising. “It’s not worth it.”
“It’s worth it to me,” she shot back, her tone firm and unrelenting.
You shook your head, tears spilling again as you tried to pull her attention back to you. “Please, Sevika. Don’t do this. I just… I just need someone right now. Not revenge.”
Her shoulders dropped slightly, and for the first time, she seemed to really see you—the vulnerability, the pain. She let out a slow, shaky breath, her jaw still tight. “Okay,” she finally said, her voice softer now. “Okay. I won’t do anything. Not tonight.”
Relief flooded through you, and you took a small step closer, resting your head against her chest. She hesitated for a moment before wrapping her arms around you, holding you tightly.
“I’m sorry,” she murmured, her voice low. “I’m sorry you had to go through that.”
You didn’t respond, just letting her presence ground you. For now, that was enough.
As Sevika comforted you, the quiet moment shattered when Finn stormed outside, his face twisted in anger. His voice slurred slightly, but his venom was crystal clear.
“You’re such a fucking whore, you know that?” he spat, his voice loud enough to draw attention.
Your head snapped toward him in shock, but before you could react, Sevika stepped in front of you. She squared her shoulders, shielding you entirely. Her voice was low and steady, but there was an edge to it that could cut steel.
“What did you just call her?” she asked, her mechanical arm twitching subtly as she balled her fists.
“A whore!” Finn shouted, stepping closer with an unhinged glare. “Up in the bathroom, playing hard to get, and now you’re cuddled up with some dyke?!”
“Chill,” Sevika warned, her voice dropping further, calm but laced with a deadly undertone.
“Chill?” Finn scoffed, his eyes wide with deranged fury. “Bitch, I’ll knock the teeth out of your mouth. I’ll make the rest of your life a living hell.” He took another step closer, now chest-to-chest with Sevika.
Sevika didn’t flinch. Instead, she tilted her head, giving him a slow once-over before smirking coldly. “Jesus… You dated this man? He’s pathetic.”
Before you could react to the insult, Finn’s fist flew. The sound of his knuckles connecting with Sevika’s cheek was loud enough to silence the faint chatter nearby. She stumbled back a step, more out of shock than pain, her face blank as she brought her hand to her cheek.
Then her expression changed. Fury washed over her features, her jaw tightening as she rolled her shoulders. Without another word, she swung her mechanical fist, and the sound of the impact echoed like a thunderclap. Finn crumpled instantly, hitting the ground like a sack of bricks.
You froze, your breath catching in your throat. Your hand gripped the wall to steady yourself as you stared at the scene, trying to process if this was reality or some drunken fever dream.
Sevika turned to look at you, her breathing even but her eyes searching your face for any sign of distress. You couldn’t move, too stunned to even speak.
The muffled noise of the party behind you suddenly grew louder as someone yelled, “There’s a fight outside!” The doors burst open, and a flood of people poured out to see what had happened. Gasps and murmurs rippled through the crowd as everyone’s eyes landed on Finn’s unconscious body sprawled at Sevika’s feet.
Jayce pushed his way through the crowd, his sunglasses perched on his nose but failing to hide his wide-eyed reaction. “Oh shit,” he muttered, looking down at Finn before glancing back at Sevika. “Is he dead? I can’t afford another death…”
Sevika didn’t answer, her gaze flicking to you briefly before focusing back on the crowd.
“He’s not dead,” you said, your voice shaky but loud enough to silence the murmurs. You stepped forward, your hand trembling as you gestured toward Finn. “But he forced himself on me in the bathroom you said was guarded, Jayce.”
Jayce’s head snapped toward you, his sunglasses lifting slightly as if he needed to see you more clearly. “For real?” he asked, his voice a mix of disbelief and concern. “I’m so sorry, (Y/N). I swear I’ll look deeper into this. I mean it. I’ll take your word for it—always. You’re my girl.”
He gestured toward his security team, who immediately moved to pick Finn up. “Get him out of here,” Jayce barked. “And make sure he doesn’t come back. Ever.”
As the guards dragged Finn’s limp body away, the crowd began to disperse, murmuring among themselves. Jayce gave you a small nod before heading back inside, leaving you alone with Sevika again.
She turned to you, her eyes softening ever so slightly. “Are you okay?” she asked, her voice calm but tinged with something that sounded almost like regret.
You nodded, even though your legs felt weak beneath you. “I don’t know,” you admitted quietly.
Sevika stepped closer, her presence grounding you as she placed a hand gently on your arm. “You’re safe now,” she said, her tone firm. “No one’s going to hurt you while I’m here.”
For a moment, you just stood there, letting her words sink in. You didn’t know how to feel—grateful, overwhelmed, or still shaken—but you knew one thing for certain: you felt safer with Sevika than anywhere else in the world.
Caitlyn, Vi, and Jinx rushed through the lingering crowd, their worried faces evident as they reached you and Sevika. Caitlyn was the first to speak, her eyes darting between the two of you.
“You okay… both of you?” she asked, her tone a mix of concern and urgency.
Sevika crossed her arms, her usual stoic demeanor back in place. “Yes, I’m fine, Cait,” she replied simply.
You nodded, though your voice wavered slightly. “I am too. Just… a little shaken up.”
Jinx stepped forward, her usual chaotic energy muted but still present. “It’s time to go… yeah?” she said, her voice lighter as she hooked her arm with yours. Without waiting for an answer, she started leading you toward the exit, offering you the comfort of her presence.
Vi and Caitlyn flanked the two of you, and Sevika trailed slightly behind, her sharp gaze scanning the remaining partygoers as if daring anyone else to cross the line. The group moved quickly through the mansion, the buzz of the party now a distant hum as more people decided to leave after the commotion.
The cool night air hit you like a splash of water as you stepped outside. The streetlights cast long shadows on the pavement, and the city’s noise provided a welcome distraction from your pounding heart. Jinx kept her arm linked with yours, humming softly to a song still stuck in her head.
Caitlyn glanced back at Sevika, lowering her voice so only she could hear. “You did good back there. He had it coming.”
Sevika grunted in response, but there was a subtle nod of acknowledgment.
As the group exited the mansion and approached the gates, the blinding flashes of cameras caught you off guard. Paparazzi were already gathered outside, shouting questions and taking rapid-fire photos. The flashes lit up the night like fireworks, and their voices overlapped, each trying to out-yell the others.
“(Y/N)! What happened in there?”
“Who was the guy Sevika knocked out?”
“Sevika, are you protecting (Y/N)?”
“Are you two dating?”
“Finn said you were in a relationship—care to comment?”
You instinctively shrank back, overwhelmed by the chaos. Jinx tightened her grip on your arm, glaring at the reporters. “Seriously, don’t you guys have anything better to do?”
Caitlyn stepped forward, raising a hand to shield her eyes from the flashes as she tried to create a path. “No comments. Leave her alone.”
Vi moved beside her, her presence intimidating enough to make some of the paparazzi take a step back. “You heard her. Back off,” she said firmly, her tone leaving no room for argument.
Sevika stayed close to you, her tall frame a protective barrier against the invasive crowd. Her sharp gaze flicked over the reporters, daring any of them to push further.
“Sevika, is it true you assaulted Finn?” one of them shouted.
“Shut it,” Sevika growled, her voice low and threatening. The reporter quickly lowered his camera, the air suddenly tense.
The group finally pushed through the throng of paparazzi, with Vi leading the way and Caitlyn acting as a buffer. You kept your head down, your heart pounding as the cameras continued to snap.
Once inside the car, the driver quickly locked the doors and sped off, leaving the chaos behind. You exhaled deeply, leaning back against the seat as you tried to calm your racing thoughts.
“God, they’re vultures,” Jinx muttered, shaking her head. “Do they ever give it a rest?”
“They’ll move on to something else by tomorrow,” Caitlyn said reassuringly, though her brows were furrowed with concern.
Sevika remained silent, her gaze fixed out the window. Her jaw was tight, and her hands were clenched into fists on her lap. She looked like she was replaying the night in her head, simmering with barely contained anger.
Vi broke the silence, glancing at you in the rearview mirror. “You okay? That was a lot.”
You nodded slowly, though your voice was quiet. “Yeah. Just… tired.”
Jinx gave your arm a comforting squeeze. “Don’t worry, we’ll lock the doors, crank up the room service, and shut out the world for the rest of the night.”
You managed a faint smile, grateful for her attempts to lighten the mood. As the car sped through the neon-lit streets of Vegas, you couldn’t help but glance at Sevika. She was still staring out the window, her expression unreadable.
For now, you focused on the promise of quiet and comfort waiting back at the hotel, desperate to put the night’s events behind you.
Back at the hotel, the group gathered in Caitlyn and Vi’s room, the tension from earlier slowly melting away as the comforting smell of food filled the air. The table was covered with an assortment of takeout boxes—sushi rolls neatly arranged, crispy chicken wings glistening in sauce, golden fries piled high, and several tubs of ice cream waiting for dessert.
Jinx immediately dove for the fries, her mood lightening as she munched away. “This is exactly what we needed after all that drama.”
Caitlyn and Vi sat close together on the couch, their shoulders brushing as they shared a plate of wings. Caitlyn had a small, nervous smile on her face, stealing glances at Vi, who seemed completely at ease.
You took a seat on the floor, cross-legged with your sushi in front of you, watching the dynamic between Caitlyn and Vi unfold. Jinx noticed too, her eyes darting between them. “So… are you two gonna stop pretending or what?”
Vi choked on her drink, coughing as Caitlyn’s face turned beet red. “Pretending what?” Vi asked, wiping her mouth.
Jinx rolled her eyes dramatically. “That you’re not into each other. It’s so obvious.”
Caitlyn bit her lip, looking down at her hands. Vi glanced at her and then back at Jinx, sighing. “Fine. You caught us.”
Caitlyn’s eyes widened in surprise, but when Vi reached over and took her hand, her expression softened. “She was drunk, but I still accepted,” Vi said, her voice low but sincere.
Caitlyn smiled, squeezing her hand. “I asked Vi to be my girlfriend,” she admitted.
You clapped your hands together. “Finally! I’ve been rooting for you two since forever.”
Jinx leaned back, grinning smugly. “Told you so. Now kiss or something. Make it official.”
Vi rolled her eyes but leaned in to kiss Caitlyn, a soft, tender moment that made everyone cheer and clap beside Sevika but she was amused. Caitlyn laughed, hiding her face behind her hands as Vi pulled her close.
The rest of the night passed in a warm, comforting haze. Laughter echoed through the room, and everyone indulged in food and ice cream, the stress of the evening melting away.
When the night wound down, Sevika stood, stretching. “I’ll walk you back to your room,” she said, glancing at you.
You nodded, feeling a flutter of nerves. “Thanks.”
The two of you walked down the quiet hallway, the sounds of the city fading into the background. When you reached your door, you turned to her. “Thank you for tonight,” you said softly. “For protecting me. I don’t know what I would’ve done without you.”
Sevika shrugged, but her expression softened. “You don’t have to thank me for that.”
Trying to lighten the mood, you leaned up and pressed a quick kiss to her cheek. “Well, I’m thanking you anyway.”
Sevika froze for a moment, her lips twitching into a faint smile as she nodded. “Goodnight.”
She turned and walked away, leaving you to enter your room. You closed the door, leaning against it for a moment as your heart raced. Shaking your head, you got into bed, pulling the covers up and letting the exhaustion of the night finally take over.
But just as you were about to drift off, a knock on the door startled you. You got up, wondering who it could be at this hour. When you opened it, Sevika stood there, her eyes intense and her expression unreadable.
“Sevika? Is something wrong?”
She hesitated for only a moment before stepping closer. “Fuck it… I have feelings for you too,” she said, her voice low and rough.
Before you could process her words, she leaned in and kissed you deeply, her hands gently cradling your face. The kiss was firm yet tender, filled with all the emotions she’d been holding back. You didn’t hesitate to kiss her back, your arms wrapping around her neck as your heart raced.
Sevika’s hands slid down to your waist, steadying you as she broke the kiss for just a moment, her forehead resting against yours. “Is this okay?” she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
You nodded eagerly, pulling her closer. “More than okay.”
She smiled before kissing you again, this time with more urgency. Her hands moved to the hem of your shirt, lifting it over your head and tossing it to the floor. You felt a thrill run through you as you tugged her into the room, your lips never leaving hers.
Sevika kicked the door shut behind her, the soft click of the lock echoing in the room. The night stretched out before you, a mix of passion and emotions that neither of you wanted to end.

The Shadows And The Light - Chapter 6
Ao3 - Honeygrls
wo weeks had passed by since Silco had left the clinic when a mysterious letter appeared on your door step. It was on a particularly gloomy afternoon, the sky cloaked in thick gray clouds, when an unexpected delivery arrived at your front door. As you opened the door, it revealed a mysterious black envelope on the doormat. The envelope had a deep black seal which seemed to have an eye imprinted onto it. A shiver of anticipation coursed through you as you reached down, curious yet apprehensive about what this dark envelope could contain.
You opened it up carefully, tearing the seal with a satisfying rip. You unfolded the letter and read its contents.
“Your contributions to Zaun do not go unnoticed. Join us at the Blackwater Gala – An evening of alliances, gratitude, and opportunity. Please dress accordingly.
–Silco.”
The Blackwater Gala was the stuff of legends, whispered about in the dimly lit taverns and bustling streets of Zaun. It was an exclusive affair, drawing the elite of the city—from influential Chembarons to power-hungry gang leaders—each eager to indulge in a night of extravagance so rarely seen in the undercity. The gala was held in an old done up warehouse from what you had heard.
You had also heard intriguing tales of the events that unfolded within those walls, where the music was loud, and laughter mingled with the sharp scent of shimmer-infused drinks. Guests wearing the newest of Zaun's fashion and the most intricate hairstyles
Yet, beneath the shimmering exterior lied a murky reality filled with rumors of shady transactions whispered in hidden corners as well as scandalous accounts of drug deals and illicit sexual favours.
You'd never attend something so debauched, the very idea setting you on edge but declining didn't seem like a viable option, not when Silco himself had written you a personal invitation.
You sighed, groaning into your hands before shoving the letter into your pocket and heading back inside. You slammed the door with an irritated huff, stomping into your bedroom to see if you had anything good enough to wear.
You began to rummage through the back of your closet, pushing aside old shoes and forgotten sweaters. As your hands brushed against a large, sturdy box, curiosity piqued. You carefully pulled it out, dust collecting on the surface as you placed it on your bed. With a gentle tug, you lifted the lid, revealing the treasures within.
Among the items, your eyes fell upon one of your mother’s old dresses, a vibrant reminder of her youth. It was from her twenties, and you had kept it all these years, cherishing it even after her passing. With a mix of nostalgia and excitement, you pulled the dress out, feeling the soft fabric glide through your fingers.
You took a moment to admire its design before trying it on. Standing in front of your mirror, you adjusted the straps and looked at your reflection. The dress was short, barely grazing your upper thighs, and the black shimmery fabric caught the light beautifully. It hugged your curves just right, accentuating your features and giving you a sense of elegance.
A soft laugh bubbled up from inside of you as you smoothed your hands down the dress. This would be perfect.

You stepped into the warehouse, looking around In awe as you took in the sights before you. Crimson and golden banners hung from the steel rafters, chem-lights casting an otherworldly glow that danced around the place. The air was heavy with mingling scents of expensive alcohol, smoke and something faintly chemical.
Your steps faltered as you made your way further into the extravagant room glancing around at the hoards of different people huddled into their own respective circles. You smelt small amidst the large crowd of people, each of them seeping with confidence and mischief.
It wasn't long before Silco approached you, his movements measured and smooth as always. “You came.” He said, his eyes flickering over your appearance with a brief lift of his brow. “Good. You've earned your place here tonight. But remember..” His voice dipped, low and laced with warning. “This isn't a room for naivety, remember to keep your wits about you, hm?”
With that he was gone, melting back into the crowd as effortlessly as he appeared.
You exhaled slightly, your hands tightening around the glass handed to you by a passing waiter. Your eyes swept around the place once again, hoping to find a certain familiar face within the packed room. All you could pick out was Chem-barons, gang leaders and influential merchants mingling in a dangerous dance of power and deception.
And then, at the far end of the room, you spotted her.
Sevika.
She was leaning against a steel pillar, her figure adorned in her usual attire which made your brows furrow in confusion. Her smokey eyes scanned the room, and for a brief moment, they locked onto yours.
You flashed her a shy grin, but she quickly looked away, her expression unreadable.
Your expression soured as confusion tightened in your chest. You were excited at the thought of seeing Sevika again; it had been a while since Silco had left, and you were eager to reconnect with her. However, it seemed she didn’t share your enthusiasm.
With a defeated sigh, you walked over to the hors d'oeuvres, hoping to eat away your disappointment.
____________________________________
It wasn't long before you realized how truly
out of depth you were. Conversations buzzed around you full of threats and empty compliments. You tried to stay out of view but it was difficult when so many eyes lingered on you, curious and calculating.
When you finally found refuge in a quiet, dimly lit corner near the drinking fountain, your chest heaved with relief. The heavy energy of the gala seemed to melt away, replaced by a small sense of calm. That was until the faint sound of polished shoes against the floor drew your attention.
Your stomach dropped when you noticed the man approaching, his presence oozing an unsettling confidence. He carried himself with the kind of casual arrogance that only a man could muster up. His sharp suit, tailored to perfection, gleamed under the chem-light, but it was his smile that sent a chill down your spine.
It wasn’t a friendly smile—it was the kind that slithered under your skin, full of false charm. His golden teeth caught the light as his grin widened, his dark eyes gleaming with interest.
Your heart raced as recognition struck you. It was Finn, one of the most infamous Chem-Barons in Zaun. Stories of his twisted dealings and ruthless methods had reached even the quietest corners of your clinic. He was a man who thrived on power and fear.
And now, his attention was fixed solely on you.
“Ah, the healer,” he drawled, his voice a low, menacing purr that seemed to wrap around you like smoke.
You stiffened, your pulse quickening as you forced yourself to meet his gaze. “Mr. Finn,” you greeted cautiously, inclining your head. Your tone was polite, but the rapid pounding of your heart betrayed the unease swirling in your chest.
“Just Finn,” he corrected smoothly, his smile stretching wider to reveal a glint of gold teeth. “No need for formalities, doll.”
The nickname struck like a cold draft, making your stomach churn. The oily sweetness of his tone made your skin crawl, but you forced a tight smile, determined to keep your composure.
“Tell me,” Finn continued, his head tilting slightly as his sharp eyes roamed over you, assessing and lingering too long. “How does someone like you earn an invitation to a place like this?”
You straightened your posture, trying to ignore the way his gaze felt like a physical weight. “Silco invited me,” you replied evenly, willing your voice not to waver.
Finn’s expression shifted subtly, the corners of his mouth twitching into a smirk as his eyes narrowed. “Of course, he did.” His voice held an edge of mockery, though his smile remained intact, plastered across his face like a mask.
He took a deliberate step closer, his polished shoes clicking softly against the floor, the sound eerily measured. “You’ve been quite the talk of the evening, you know,” he continued, his tone dripping, “Zaun’s own little hero with a heart of gold. Tending to the needy, expecting nothing in return. Selfless.” He leaned in slightly, his head tilting, “It’s almost…naïve.”
The insinuation struck you like a bullet, but you forced yourself to stay calm, your fingers tightening around the edges of your glass. “I… I do what I can,” you replied, taking a cautious step back, but Finn’s movements mirrored yours, closing the gap effortlessly.
“Such modesty,” he murmured, his voice dipping lower as he leaned in further, his breath warm against your skin. The cloying scent of his cologne was suffocating, making it hard to think. His sharp features seemed to loom closer, filling your vision.
“But surely,” Finn continued, his voice softening to a predatory whisper, “someone as kind and beautiful as you must be used to admiration.” His words slithered into your ear, the low growl of his tone making your breath hitch involuntarily.
You instinctively flinched, your body tensing as he leaned even closer, his presence overwhelming and intrusive. The heat of his proximity made your stomach churn, and an unpleasant shiver ran down your spine, leaving you frozen.
“Excuse me,” you said firmly, taking a step to the side to put space between you and Finn.
But he shifted smoothly to block your path, his movement fluid. His sharp grin widened as he tilted his head, studying your reaction with an unsettling intensity.
“There’s no need to rush off,” he drawled, his tone light but with an edge that felt like a subtle warning. “I only want to get to know you better. Surely a healer like you can spare a little kindness?”
Your pulse quickened as unease swirled inside of you. “I’m not interested,” you said, keeping your voice steady despite the unpleasant knot forming in your stomach.
Finn’s grin twisted into something darker and sharper, his eyes narrowing slightly as if resisting only intrigued him more. “Ah, playing hard to get, I see,” he mused, taking a slow, deliberate step closer. “I always did enjoy a challenge.”
The words sent a chill down your spine, and you instinctively took a step back, feeling the cool metal of the drinking fountain press against your back. Trapped.
“Come now, don’t be so quick to run off—”
“Back off.”
The words cut through the tension like a blade, low and dangerous, the weight of it vibrating in the air around you.
Your heart pounded, and relief flooded your chest as Sevika stepped out of the crowd, her towering frame a protective barrier between you and Finn. Her expression was as cold as steel, her jaw tight, and her mechanical arm gleaming ominously in the dim light as she stood beside you.
Finn turned toward her slowly, his grin faltering for just a second before he schooled his expression back into something cool and unaffected. “Sevika,” he greeted smoothly, though the slight edge to his voice betrayed his irritation. “Always so quick to play the hero, aren’t you?”
“She said she’s not interested,” Sevika stated flatly. She didn’t so much as blink as her gaze pierced into Finn, a silent warning in her expression.
Finn raised his hands in mock surrender, a lazy smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth. “No harm in having a conversation, is there? We’re all friends here.”
“Doesn’t look like she wants to be friends,” Sevika shot back, taking a step forward, her broad shoulders squaring as she towered over him. “So, I’ll say it again: Back. Off.”
The air between them grew tense, a silent standoff as Finn’s smirk faltered again, his face shifting into an irritated scowl. He glanced between you and Sevika, the corner of his mouth twitching as if weighing his next move.
“Touchy, touchy,” Finn finally said, taking a deliberate step back but keeping his eyes locked on Sevika’s. “You really should learn to relax, Sevika. You might live longer.”
“Keep testing me, and we’ll find out how long you’ll last,” she growled, her voice a low rumble that made your stomach churn and, oddly, brought a sense of comfort at the same time.
Finn chuckled, though the sound was humorless, and shot you one last unsettling glance before turning on his heel. “Enjoy the party,” he called over his shoulder as he melted back into the crowd, leaving a trail of unease after him.
For a moment, you stood frozen, your heart pounding as the tension slowly began to dissipate. You turned to Sevika, who hadn’t moved an inch, her gaze still locked in the direction Finn had disappeared. Her shoulders were tense, and the muscles in her jaw flexed as she exhaled sharply through her nose.
“Thank you,” you said softly, your voice wavering with lingering nerves.
Sevika’s head snapped toward you, and for the first time that evening, her stern demeanor cracked. A faint flicker of awkwardness crossed her face, though she quickly schooled her expression into something more neutral. “Yeah,” she muttered, shifting her weight uncomfortably.
You offered a small, genuine smile despite the lingering tension. “I mean it. That could’ve gone a lot worse if you hadn’t stepped in.”
She looked away, rubbing the back of her neck with her flesh hand, her mechanical fingers clinking softly at her side. “It’s nothing. Just… don’t let idiots like him corner you again.”
Her words were gruff, but you could hear the concern buried beneath the rough exterior. The realization made warmth bloom in your chest despite the unsettling encounter that had just happened.
“Still,” you said gently, “I’m glad you were here.”
Sevika glanced at you from the corner of her eye, her lips pressing into a tight line. She gave a short nod, but the stiffness in her posture made it clear she wasn’t used to being thanked, especially in this way.
“I’ll, uh, keep an eye out,” she muttered, taking a small step back. Her eyes darted away briefly before she added, almost stumbling over her words, “You should stick to people you trust.” She paused, visibly uncomfortable, then cleared her throat. “Anyway... take care.” And with that, she turned abruptly and walked off, her mechanical arm whirring softly as she melted into the crowd.
Before you could fully process Sevika’s abrupt leave, a bright, chaotic burst of blue energy descended upon you.
“Well, well, well! What do we have here?” a high-pitched voice chirped from behind.
You turned just in time to see none other than Jinx, (Whom you learnt through gossip in the clinic that she was Silco's daughter) bounding toward you, her wide, manic grin lighting up her face like a spark. Her vivid blue braids swung wildly as she closed the distance, her eyes darting between you and the direction Sevika had just disappeared.
“Oh my GOD!” she squealed, clasping her hands together in delight. “You’re the girl Sevika never shuts up about!”
Your heart nearly stopped, your brain racked in confusion trying to catch up with what she’d just said. “W-what?” you stammered, completely caught off guard.
Jinx stopped right in front of you, leaning forward with a smirk as if she were sharing the most juiciest secret. “You heard me! Sevika’s been talking about you! Like, a LOT.” She wiggled her eyebrows exaggeratedly, her voice dropping to a stage whisper. “You must be very special!”
You blinked, your mouth opening and closing as you struggled to find a response. “I… I think you have the wrong idea—”
“Wrong idea? Pfft!” Jinx waved you off, her expression completely unserious. “Don’t play coy with me, doc. I mean, who could blame her? You’ve got this whole cute, shy, healer vibe going on.” She tilted her head, eyeing you up and down. “Kinda adorable, if you ask me. Totally Sevikas type too!”
“I’m not—she doesn’t—” you tried to explain, but Jinx wasn’t listening.
“Bet she likes your little ‘I just want to help people’ thing. So noble, so selfless! Classic hero stuff!” She twirled one of her braids around her finger, a dreamy look in her eyes. “It’s so weird hearing Sevika talk about anything that isn’t punching people, booze, or punching people while holding booze! You’ve gotta be a big deal.”
Your cheeks burned hotter with every word, and you shook your head furiously. “I think you’re misunderstanding—”
“Oh, sure, sure,” Jinx interrupted, waving her hand dismissively again. “I get it. You’re too shy to admit it. Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone. Your secret’s safe with me.” she said with an exaggerated wink.
“It’s not a secret because it’s not a thing!” you insisted, but Jinx only cackled in response, clearly enjoying your flustered state.
Before she could say anything else, a shadow loomed over the two of you, and you turned to see Sevika standing there, her brows furrowed in irritation. “Jinx,” she said, her voice sharp with warning, “what the hell are you doing?”
Jinx spun around, unfazed by Sevika’s stern tone. “Oh, hey, Sev!” she chirped, grinning like everything was alright. “Just having a little chat with your favorite healer. You know, the one you won’t stop gushing about?”
“Jinx,” Sevika growled, her jaw clenching.
“What?” Jinx said innocently, throwing her hands up. “It’s cute. You’re cute. She's cute. It’s all cute!” She giggled, skipping back a step.
Sevika’s face turned to stone, her discomfort obvious as she shot a glare at Jinx that could have burned the whole building down. “That’s enough.”
Jinx pouted, clearly enjoying pushing Sevika’s buttons. “Fine, fine,” she said with an exaggerated sigh. “I’ll leave you two lovebirds alone.” She wagged her fingers at you in a teasing wave as she backed away. “Have fun, doc! Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do!”
And with that, she disappeared into the crowd, leaving you standing there in stunned silence and Sevika looking like she wanted to punch the nearest wall.
You finally dared to glance at Sevika, whose lips were pressed into a tight line. “She’s… lively,” you offered weakly, your voice barely above a whisper.
Sevika rubbed the back of her neck, her flesh hand clenched into a fist at her side. “She’s an idiot,” she muttered, her eyes flickering to yours for a brief moment before darting away. “Ignore her.”
Sevika cleared her throat awkwardly. “You okay?” she asked, her voice almost hesitant.
“Yeah,” you replied, the corner of your lips lifting in a small smile. “Thanks to you. I thought I'd be there forever.”
“Yeah… she has a tendency to do that,” Sevika said, rolling her eyes and groaning softly. Her mechanical arm flexed slightly, the faint whir of it breaking the tension. “Always running her mouth, stirring up trouble wherever she goes.”
She sighed heavily, her frustration evident as she looked off into the distance, avoiding your gaze. “Half the time, I’m cleaning up after her messes. The other half? I’m wondering why Silco keeps her around.”
You tilted your head, curiosity igniting within you despite the lingering awkwardnes. “She’s unpredictable, sure,” you ventured carefully, “but… isn’t that part of her charm?”
Sevika snorted, shaking her head. “Charm? Yeah, if you think charm is blowing up half the Undercity because she got bored.” Her lips twitched in what might have been the beginning of a smirk before she quickly schooled her expression back to something more neutral.
A small smile tugged at your lips as you watched her. “You care about her a little, though,” you pointed out gently.
She stiffened slightly at your observation, her brow furrowing as though she didn’t like being caught in such an admission. “She’s a pain in the ass,” Sevika muttered, glancing down at you.
You nodded, the corners of your mouth still quirking up. “Well, for what it’s worth, she seems to care about you. She… uh, definitely thinks highly of you.”
Sevika’s gaze sharpened, her expression unreadable as she looked at you. “That so?” she said, her voice low.
“Yeah,” you said, feeling a little heat creep up your neck. “She, uh… she said you talked about me. A lot.”
Her face immediately hardened, and her jaw clenched. “Jinx exaggerates,” she said gruffly, the words coming out so quickly it almost felt rehearsed.
“Does she?” you asked, raising an eyebrow, a smirk growing on your face.
Sevika’s mechanical arm twitched, her fingers flexing as though she needed something to do with her hands. “Look,” she began, clearly uncomfortable. “It’s not like that. You’re… I mean, you helped Silco. That’s important.”
Your lips parted, but you hesitated, unsure how to respond. The tension between you hung in the air, and for a moment, neither of you said anything.
Then, Sevika let out another sigh, running a hand down her face. “Forget it,” she muttered, her voice quieter now. “I shouldn’t have said anything.”
You stepped closer, your voice soft. “Sevika… it’s okay. I’m not upset.”
She glanced at you, her grey eyes searching your face. For a quick moment, something vulnerable flickered in her gaze, but it was gone as quickly as it came. “You shouldn’t trust people like me,” she said flatly, her tone almost clipped.
You frowned, taking another step toward her. “Why not? You’ve done nothing but help me tonight.”
Her lips pressed into a thin line, and she shook her head. “You don’t understand.”
“Then explain it to me,” you said, your voice firmer now, your brows furrowing.
She hesitated, her posture stiff. But before she could respond, a commotion erupted on the far side of the room. Both of you turned to see a group of eople arguing loudly, the heated fight drawing attention from everyone nearby.
Sevika took the moment of distraction, taking a step back and straightening her shoulders. “I should handle that,” she said abruptly, her tone clipped.
“Sevika—” you started, but she was already moving away, her long strides carrying her through the crowd before you could stop her.
You watched her go, a mix of frustration and curiosity swirling in your chest. Whatever was going on in her head, she clearly wasn’t ready to talk about it. But something told you this wasn’t the end of this conversation—just the beginning.

(Silco Xreader) Chemical Reaction Chap 12
(Art credit: by me!) A/N: This chapter is a long one so strap in!
Chemical Reaction Chapter 12 "To Rebuild" Chapter Summary: Roadie and Jinx get closer, and Silco and Ophelia start to rebuild their relationship...slowly. Also Chembaron assembly! -
Song of the chapter: "Towards The Sun" by Rhianna "Turn your face towards the sun, Let the shadows fall behind you, Don't look back, just carry on, And the shadows will never find you" -
“When you said a refreshing night into town…I wasn’t imagining this…” Roadie looked behind his shoulder at the damage Jinx’s diversion caused. He was following behind the teen, her braids bouncing as she laughed maniacally, holding a brilliant blue orb in her fingers. “Come on kid!” She waved him along the empty Piltover street, her body practically buzzing with the adrenaline from the heist. Roadie looked over his shoulder with a frown. A large Piltover building was in flames as a distraction for the large group of enforcers that now laid burnt to a crisp. Ash filled the air and burned his lungs, there would be an alarm soon and an army of enforcers are sure to follow. But when he watched the older girl skip along happily with no fear, he couldn’t help but feel admiration.- The mixed sound of metal being welded and music booming filled the canyon of Jinx’s hide-out. Her old gramophone shaked with how loud it had been playing, seeming as if it would explode at any moment. Attentive at her workbench, Jinx was tinkering with some tech. She spun around, tongue sticking out as she danced while using a torch to melt some metal together. “Jinx.” Jinx wiggled her body to the music, completely engrossed in the tune. “Jinx!” Banging her head to the beat, she continued working. “Jinx!” Finally, the gramophone ceased its song from the intensity of Silco’s hand that had banged on the table it was sitting on. Jinx only twirled around in her spinny-chair he had bought her. “That’s me!” Her father, Silco, did not look amused. “Half a dozen enforcers, dead. Enforcers. Dead!” Jinx stretched against her workbench, half of her body now laying on the scrappy metal. “Yeah…” He continued, shaking with anger. “A building blown to pieces.” She slouched further against her desk, hardly listening. “Oh, yeah…” Quickly, Silco snatched the pen she had been doodling with. “Do you have any idea what you’ve done?” His irritated voice echoed against the cavern walls. Jinx only chuckled. “Actually,” Silco’s eyes watched as Jinx slowly stood up. “I do…” With a smirk, her fingers pulled a glowing blue orb from her pocket. She offered it to him, which he tentatively took. Jinx hopped onto a railing and pulled a lever. “Happy Progress Day!” The energetic girl twirled around the pole before dropping off back onto one of the blades of her turbine. She inched closer to her father innocently before grabbing him in a big bear hug. Silco didn’t want to admit it but he loved her like she was his blood. If anyone under him were to pull the stunt that she had he would’ve had them gutted. Deep down he knew that he had grown soft for her, and as long as no one found out, he didn’t mind. Silco felt his anger towards her melt away. Until the back of his neck prickled, the survival instincts of a seasoned sump-rat kicking in as he felt them being watched. Just as he was going to pull away from their hug, movement in the shadows behind his daughter caught the attention of his mismatched eyes. “Is he my brother?” Jinx whispered into their embrace. Confusion hung over Silco as his body tensed at the intruder stepping out of the shadows. The dark receded over the small body of a child as he stepped into the light. The child, a boy, had very skinny avian-like legs that resembled Ophelia’s. Silco quickly pieced together who else had joined them. Roadie. “That is none of your concern.” Silco pulled out of the hug gently and narrowed his eyes over to the child. “Go home to your mother, boy. She will have my head if she finds out where you are.” The boy looked at Jinx, face stricken with panic. “But-” The boy pleaded but was interrupted when his father raised a hand. “Not another word. I’ve had enough for today.” Roadie paused, wide eyed. He didn’t know the next time he would see his father. His eyes began to itch from the tears streaming down his cheeks. Jinx had an offended expression painted on her face as she watched Silco stride through the exit.-
The door to Silco’s office slammed against its frame as a man stormed out of the room. He had black, clean cut hair and a scowl that shook with anger. Marcus. Ophelia almost tripped on herself, attempting to make room for the angry sheriff as he stomped down the thin corridor to get to the stairs. His boots almost echoed against the metal stairs over the booming music.
Her yellow eyes watched the enforcer angrily stride past the club-goers, even pushing some out of his way to make his way to the exit. Ophelia’s ear twitched at the sound of a weary sigh. Two brawny men stepped out of Silco’s office who she had recognized to be the twins. They were the industrialist’s trusted bouncers of the club. But with their strapping builds, they doubled as bodyguards on occasion when Sevika and Ophelia were unavailable. The two strode past Ophelia, making their way to the entrance of the club to return to their posts as the bouncers.
Cautiously, knowing how Marcus deeply stressed Silco out, Ophelia rapped her knuckles twice against the open doorway. “In.” Was all she heard from the man reclining on the couch, good eye closed. Smoke drifted lazily from the lit end of his cigar as she entered the room.
“You wanted to see me?” She asked as she found a place to stand behind the coffee table. Smoke escaped his nostrils as he cleared his throat to speak. “Meeting after meeting, you would think I’d get used to this.” A cloud of smoke escaped Silco’s thin lips as he exhaled. “Though it appears that I still require the assistance of…,” He paused, nodding his cigar slightly. “To survive a meeting with the sheriff.”
Ophelia chuckled. “Is Marcus that insufferable?” Her arms clasped together against the small of her back as she stood tall behind the coffee table. His lanky fingers found the bridge of his nose as he massaged an incoming headache. “You don’t know half of it.”
Silco leaned over slightly, his arm which held the cigar was stationary, as he slid a folder that sat on the coffee table towards her. Ophelia’s fingers grazed over the yellow folder, noticing how the front of it bore a faded stamp that read ‘CONFIDENTIAL’.
“What’s this?” The folder turned in her fingers as she examined the contents.
Smoke spilled from his parted lips as Silco hummed, now studying Ophelia as she read the documents inside the folder. “Think of it as a new…business venture.”
There was a pause that settled in the room, the chaotic melody booming downstairs was faint but her Vastayan ears could make out the lyrics of each song that played after another. Yellow eyes danced over the words of the documents as she looked through them.
“Well?” His voice was impatient, no doubt ready to get on with his next meeting. Each sentence of the documents were disguised under the cunning legalese. Luckily, Ophelia has been faced with her own fair share of sketchy documents during her time running an orphanage.
Her eyes met his gaze, eyebrows dipping in confusion. “You want…the children of the orphanage to enter under your employ..?” She asked, trying to translate the legalese.
Silco nodded softly. “It seems that my manufacturing facilities need more hands than there are available.” Ophelia’s attention returned to the documents. She flipped a page over, trying to read the fine print. Silence fell over the room once more to which the industrialist took the chance to speak on behalf of his risky proposition. “I would pay handsomely for any assistance I gain from you. I am sure the children of your orphanage would appreciate the wages.”
Ophelia’s eyes were still glued to the papers. She must have read the documents twice by now, absorbing all the material behind the words.
“They are just kids.” Her voice was hoarse and shaky. Child labor was not a taboo concept in the Undercity. In fact, it was regularly practiced. Despite this, Ophelia had hoped with Silco’s funding she’d be able to provide a safe environment abundant in food, clothes and shelter.
“Need I remind you that you are not operating some resort.” His words were bitter as he leaned in, taking another drag of his cigar. “Those kids need all the help they can get. Especially if it means getting a headstart on saving the little hexes they can earn for a better life.” What Silco had said stabbed her heart. She knew this was true, that her kids were only protected from so much.
From where she stood, she felt herself boiling from the pressure. If she agrees to let Silco offer employment to the children of her orphanage, they could be put in danger in those risky manufacturing facilities. Not to mention, they’d be near shimmer.
After staring at the papers before her, she lowered them to look at Silco. “What will they be doing under your employ?”
“As I mentioned before, I just need extra hands. Age appropriate assignments will be given, none under the age of twelve will operate heavy machinery.”
Ophelia stared at the man enjoying his cigar. “That doesn’t answer my question.”
Sighing, the red iris of his injured eye met her glare. “I merely need the equipment to be maintained and cleaned. They will ensure the machinery depositing shimmer into vials are working properly,” He sighed, rolling the cigar between his long fingers. “It is as simple as pulling levers, greasing gears, and occasionally lifting crates of shimmer.” His tone was strained from being tired of the woman asking so many questions.
Ultimately the question Ophelia had been mulling over slipped out of her mouth. “Will the children be exposed to raw shimmer?” Silco leaned back on the couch, crossing his thin legs. “You have my word that they will not be able to even access shimmer.”
Ophelia’s gaze returned to the documents. With one last read through, she gritted her teeth. “I’ll see who among my children would be interested in this.”
The industrialist let out a hum as if he was intrigued, but he was more relieved that the meeting was coming to a close. “If you decide to pursue this, I am afraid that I will require you to accompany me to the next Chembaron assembly.”
“How come?”
Silco scoffed, the thought of voluntarily calling a meeting with the buffoons that called themselves Chembarons disgusted him. “Unfortunately, to remain in their good graces, all of us Chembarons must announce any large investments, expanding of territory,” His words trailed off, his demeanor shifting to annoyed. “All of it. We inform one another.”
Ophelia nodded. “I will let you know my final answer by Friday.”
“Tonight. I need your decision by tonight.”
Ophelia scoffed at the little time she was given. Her eyes shifted to the grandfather clock that ticked in the corner. “That is hardly anytime!” She exclaimed.
“Such are the woes of doing business. Unfortunately for you, my schedule is not very flexible as of late.”
She felt her face redden. How was she supposed to find children willing to work for him before tonight? “Fine.” She muttered.
Silco narrowed his gaze before tilting his head in a nod. Thinking matters had been adjourned, the Vastayan begrudgingly turned to leave. “One more thing.” She looked over her shoulder to the man lounging on the sofa.
“Your son seems to have found my daughter.”
Ophelia’s calm demeanor faltered. “What? How?”
Eyelid now open, his seafoam green eye lazily rolled to view the woman standing before him as he sat up. Marcus must have rendered him in a fowl mood due to the deeper scowl that was chiseled into his expression. “I was hoping you’d enlighten me.”
Ophelia bit her cheek as her hands smoothed out her skirt. “We were so careful.” She said exasperatedly, recounting the measures the two had gone through to ensure that Jinx and Roadie never met. Silco only hummed, taking a much needed drag from his cigar.
“You had me agree to staying out of your son’s life,” If the Vastayan hadn’t known Silco for nearly two decades, she would have thought he was bored. But that was just how his half lidded eye made him seem, she knew he was fuming beneath his exterior. “He has weaseled his way into mine.”
Ophelia furrowed her brows at the implication of her son ‘weaseling’ around. In the interest of time and their cooperation, she let that slide. Silco felt the end of the couch he sat on dip to the weight of another. Ophelia’s forehead was heavy in the palm of her hand as she tried to think of a way to talk Roadie into staying away from Jinx. The man, who had his legs outstretched on the coffee table, only stared blankly at the other side of the room as if he was unaware of her sitting at the end of his expensive sofa.
After a moment of silence, Ophelia’s head tilted in a slight nod. “I’ll have a talk with him.” Silco pursed his thin lips. His body shifted against the expensive cushions of his couch, a black eyebrow hooked upwards.
-
“I heard you gave the Pilt River a visit today.” Ophelia’s voice split through the silence in Silco’s car. Green light escaping through the tinted windows would casually pass over the two. The inside of his expensive car was clogged with the smoke from his cigar, Ophelia just knew that the smell would cling to her clothes.
Silco sat across from her. His car was limo-style, with a driver upfront and a mini bar on offer in between their seats, Ophelia almost felt like Zaun royalty. She couldn’t help but wonder if this was the luxury Pilties enjoyed daily. “Oh? And where, pray tell, did you hear that?” Ophelia turned to see mismatched eyes glowed in the lowlight of the car.
Her posture faltered, a sense of failure washing over her. “He’s getting more…adventurous. He didn’t need to tell me for me to know he followed the two of you.” Silco hummed, knowing who she was referring to. “You have my word that I tried to talk to him. But he denied even knowing Jinx. Perhaps it is time I start having someone follow him?” The last part was more of her talking to herself. “Or maybe restrict him to the orphanage?” She murmured, continuing her thoughts.
The man across from her took a long drag of his cigar before releasing the smoke through his mouth accompanied by his words. “I don’t hold the reins when it comes to Jinx. I have found that she does her best work when I have given her the resources and left her to her devices.” His advice was poor but she knew what he was trying to say.
“Should we allow them together after all?” Ophelia asked, a little confused at his advice as he was the one to speak of his disdain towards the children becoming friends in the first place.
Silco sighed. “I don’t believe we have much of a choice.”
Old guilt washed over Ophelia as the silence returned. She thought of Roadie, and his poorly hidden longing for another parent in his life. “I…I do regret…making you promise to stay out of his life. I think he may have done better with a father in his.” Silco didn’t make eye contact with the woman across from him, rather opting for analyzing her through his peripheral vision.
“Today is Sevika’s day off.” Silco said, desperate in changing the subject. “I hope you are not uncomfortable with the absence of a bodyguard.” It was a strange thing to say. Especially since she had once served as an accomplice that would do his dirty work during their youth.
With little warning, the industrialist’s sleek black car came to a screeching halt. Silco remained wholly unfazed and silent. He clearly was not excited about meeting with the other chembarons. Ophelia couldn’t help but feel her throat bop as she craned her neck to take in the colossal building before her. It was massive, green windows littered around the building’s exterior while different types of metal created hauntingly beautiful designs around the outside of the building.
Ophelia almost jumped as someone cleared their throat. “Best not to keep them waiting.” She looked back at Silco, who was standing impatient in front of a set of doors. Jogging to the man, the two entered a glass chamber. Steel webs lined the cylinder that Ophelia came to identify as an elevator. A weak light hung from above, lazily flickering a yellow glow as they ascended the tower.
Her ear twitched, picking up the sound of Silco cracking his neck. The inside of the elevator was lined with bleak brass with steel that laced atop the walls, creating more eerie designs. Ophelia tried to focus on the outlines of the patterns instead of the thick tension that hung over the elevator. Not only was Silco, the most dangerous man in Zaun, obviously in a bad mood, but she was nervous about meeting the other chembarons. She only knew them by name as they tended to stay within the heart of their own territories. Apart from Silco, there were five crimelords that had formed an alliship over Zaun.
All of which became visible once the elevator doors opened. Ophelia’s breath hitched at the sight of a long table that took up most of the space. Each chembaron sat in their respective chairs that were diligently spaced several feet from each other. There had been conversation being exchanged before the doors opened, but now the room was quiet. As she followed Silco into the large room, she studied each person who sat at the table.
Ophelia’s yellow eyes first laid upon who she assumed to be Chross, who was an older gentleman with a sunken face. He owned one of the smaller territories but specialized in trades and communications. Apparently he had earned his wealth by blackmailing Piltover’s rich. Sat next to him was Madame Margot. The younger woman owned most of the brothels in the Undercity; she is also the first female chembaron.
Sitting across from the two was Smeech, who was the newest edition to the chembaron title with a temper that could compensate for his small yordle form. Several feet away, Renni, and older woman with striking red hair, sat tall in her chair. From Ophelia’s understanding, Renni happened to be the one who had people deal shimmer which was how she gained her wealth.
Finally, at the end of the table, was a young man with a brooding expression. This must be Finn, Ophelia thought as she sat next to Silco at the opposite end of the table. He was the top weapons dealer in Zaun. Though, from what she has gathered, he was also new. Inheriting his position from his dad, not earning a single coin.
All five of the chembarons fixed their gaze upon the newcomer, who sat very close to the Eye of Zaun. “I believe I have some news that may please you all in terms of profits.” Silco’s voice cut through the silence. He procured a folder from inside his coat, opening duplicates of the document Ophelia had signed earlier. His thin hands shoved them to the middle of the table, each chembaron taking one for themselves.
Finn’s thin pupils scrutinized the document he held.“You mentioned nothing about this in our last assembly.” His tone of voice sounded offended. Silco’s mismatched eyes narrowed at the young man across the table. “The introduction of a new avenue of labor will speed up shimmer’s production exponentially,” Ophelia watched the industrialist defend the proposition. “Which will in turn enhance your profits rather nicely.”
Renni was the next to speak up. “I don’t mind this at all.” She seemed rather pleased with what Silco was proposing. The yordle next to her scoffed. “Yeah, cause that’ll give you a nice chunk of cash, huh?” Though, once Smeech realized Silco had narrowed his gaze upon him, his lips clamped shut.
Ophelia noticed that the dynamic between the chembarons and the Eye of Zaun was not that of respect, but they chose to submit to him due to fear. Which was well earned.
Chross spoke softly about his agreement with Silco while Margot was picking at her nails, she hadn’t even so much as glanced at the document in front of her. Silco didn’t seem to mind, since she would end up agreeing with him anyways.
Finn was silent, staring at Ophelia for what felt like infinity until he opened his golden lower jaw. “And this chick will supply the labor?” He pointed angrily at Ophelia before he lifted himself from his seat, releasing a torrential downpour of questions. “How can we trust her people with our shimmer? What if they help Piltover usurp us? How much will this endeavor even cost?”
Silco rolled his eyes, sighing. “Yes, she will afford me with labor. No, the children will not overthrow us,“ Silco’s eyes stared daggers at the young man. “ Considering that this is my own expense to sort out, I don’t believe the rest of the finances are to concern you, Finn.” The last sentence was spoken as a warning, which made Finn return to his seat.
After another few moments of awkward silence, Silco spoke up again. “Is everyone happy?” He asked almost mockingly, knowing full well that no one dared to speak their grievances. “Splendid. I believe that concludes this part of the assembly.”
-
Ophelia was dismissed to wait in the car during the rest of the chembaron assembly, as the information to be discussed was confidential. The door to the car shut as fast as it had opened, Silco now sitting across from her. “That boy must thrive on making my life harder.” He said exasperatedly, fingers pinching the bridge of his nose.
Ophelia only looked out the window, watching the figures of the streets go by through the tinted glass. “He seems very…confident.” She said, eyes still glued to the window. Silco hummed. “Finn’s confidence is deeply misplaced. His father was the same too.”
They arrived at The Last Drop fairly quickly. The pair returned to the industrialist’s office on the floor above the club. Silco’s pace quickened once they entered the private space, desperately needing a smoke. After closing the door, Ophelia found herself intrigued with the furnishings of his office.
Yellow eyes danced over the oddities of the industrialist’s bleak office. One would assume that Silco would have an office filled to the brim with rare and expensive weapons, art or even liquor. But as Ophelia continued to peruse the various items that cluttered his office, she realized that he just didn’t care for novelties.
‘Click’. The sound of metal tickled Ophelia’s feathered year and prompted her to look over her shoulder where Silco had been seated at his desk. She only chuckled at the sight of him applying a fresh layer of foundation to the marred side of his face. “You're doing your makeup wrong.” Ophelia’s voice all but echoed throughout his office. Instead of a quip, she was met with a chuckle from Silco.
Ophelia crossed her arms as she started towards him. “What’s so funny?”
Silco didn’t look up from the compact mirror he held lazily in his palm. “I can remember a time when you didn't have the gall to say something like that to me.”
This made Ophelia pause. Ah yes, he was referring to their youth. When she would follow him blindly due to misplaced trust that stemmed from a secret crush. Just as her mouth opened to argue with him, the door crashed open.
Ophelia jumped, startled, as Sevika limped through the office. Two trails of blood and shimmer stained the floor under her as she clutched her robotic arm. Silco didn’t care to spin his chair around to see his lieutenant, only lazily looking at her beaten form from his mirror as he applied foundation. “You’re making a mess.” His voice drawled, completely unfazed at how horrid Sevika had looked. Her jaw was fixed to the side, cuts and bruises scattered any part of her skin that wasn’t clothed. Ophelia watched with wide eyes as Sevika grunted and froze in the middle of the room. “The sister…she’s back.”
This made Silco snap the mirror shut. His chair spun behind him as he had bolted out of it. “From the dead!?”

Chem baron assemblies weren’t the worst part of your job as Silco’s assistant, but they were up there.
It should have been fascinating, getting to sit in on Zaun’s equivalent of the council meetings. Every person in the room with you controlled their own little slice of the Undercity with an iron fist – whether that meant the chem trade, body mods, brothels, or webs of spies and informants who could find out anything about anybody for the right price. But more often than not, meetings devolved into petty squabbling over territory and who owed what to whom – and you had to sit there and take minutes through all of it.
Your only consolation was that Silco made it clear he hated these meetings as much as you did.
Today’s assembly had dragged on longer than usual, and you were relieved to be packing up at last. You just had to finish the notes you were making, and then you’d be free. A few of the chem barons had already left, though Silco was still hashing out the details of a Shimmer production deal with Renni. Sevika was leaning against the door by the elevator, looking bored out of her mind, and you were about to go over to her when a shadow fell across your notebook.
“I haven’t noticed you here before,” a familiar voice said, and you looked up with your brows already raised. Finn was one of the newer chem barons, and you had to wonder whether his affected swagger and bold fashion choices were compensation for the fact that he had inherited his position and everybody knew it.
“I’m always here. I’m Silco’s assistant.”
“I know,” said Finn, leaning on the edge of your desk, caging you in, “but I never noticed you.”
The desk you used was in a corner of the room, and Finn was blocking the only exit. You sighed, finishing what you’d been writing and capping your pen. You were not in the mood for this, but you plastered a polite smile on your face regardless. “Then I’m doing my job well, aren’t I?”
Not to be deterred, Finn only leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a low purr. “I wouldn’t shove you in a corner and make you take notes all day, is all I’m saying. Nah, if you worked for me, I’d have you sat right next to me where everyone can see, and I’d—”
“I like my corner, thank you,” you said curtly before Finn could finish that thought, snapping your leather-bound notebook closed. It had been a gift from Silco, and the black cover bore a bright pink doodle of his insignia, courtesy of Jinx. “I like my job, too.” You glanced over at your boss. He was still talking with Renni, leaned back in his seat with a cigar smoking steadily in his hand and smoke drifting out from his lips as he spoke, but as if he could sense you looking at him his gaze flicked over to you, just for the briefest second. That relieved some of the tightness in your throat. Finn could be as pushy as he liked, and you could handle him, but Silco or Sevika would step in if you needed someone with a little more sway to scare Finn off.
It wasn’t yourself you were afraid for.
“Okay,” Finn said, holding his hands up in mock surrender. His eyes raked over you, and you realised that from this angle he probably had a pretty good view down the front of your blouse. “But you’re done working now, right? How about you come with me and I’ll show you how I’d appreciate having someone like you with the Slickjaws. I’ll buy you a drink.”
You stood abruptly, but Finn still didn’t back off. If anything, he only leaned closer while you packed your things away, and his too-heavy cologne made your nose twitch. “Thanks, Finn, but I’m not interested.”
Finn only drew himself taller, tilting his head as he gazed down at you, a smirk pulling at his lips. The top one, anyway. “Fine, you wanna be like that, I get it. You’re a classy lady, I can see that. Guess that’s why you like working for Silco so much. I’ll take you to dinner first.”
You glanced back at Silco, and your throat tightened when your eyes met his. Renni was reading over some contract with her own assistant, but he was no longer paying attention. You wondered how long he’d been watching, letting Finn dig his own grave. The other chem baron was a dumbass, but he probably didn’t deserve whatever was coming if he didn’t leave you alone.
“Finn, I told you I’m not interested. Now please let me go home.” You tilted your chin up and put as much steel into your voice as you could.
But Finn wasn’t going to be deterred by your words. “Alone?” he said, leaning down into your space, his arm on the desk still caging you in.
“Yeah, alone,” you said, your patience wearing out. Fuck it. It wasn’t like Silco was going to punish you for giving as good as you got. Especially not to Finn. “Now let me pass or I’ll screw your jaw shut.”
To your dismay, Finn only laughed, his sleek curtain of hair swaying as he tipped his head back. “Oh, she bites! I knew you had some fire in there somewhere. I like them feisty.”
Of course he does. You resisted the urge to roll your eyes, feeling the weight of your brass knuckles in your pocket. Another gift from Silco – he’d wanted you to be able to protect yourself, even if you weren’t much of a fighter, and he’d reasoned that it would be hard for an assailant to take them and use them against you, so you’d have time to run. You’d never actually used them, and trying them out on Finn would definitely be taking it too far, but they were a comforting presence in your pocket nonetheless.
But a sharp call of your name cut across the lame response you’d been about to give, and relief made your shoulders sag. Silco was shrugging on his coat, his business with Renni concluded (and not to the other chem baron’s favour, judging by the sour expression on her face). “Come. We’re leaving.”
At last Finn stepped aside, his eyes roving over you one last time as you passed. “You know where to find me when the old man gives you a day off, baby.”
Ugh. “Keep dreaming, Finn,” you muttered as you hurried over to where Silco and Sevika were waiting by the elevator, and you didn’t miss the glare your boss shot Finn before he turned on his heel and stalked through the ornate doors of the assembly room.
“Please tell me you weren’t flirting with Finn,” Sevika said once the elevator was rumbling down to street level.
You glanced at Silco before you responded. He was quiet, his mismatched gaze fixed on something in the distance, and you could almost see the plans formulating behind his eyes like clouds gathering before a storm. “No way,” you said to Sevika. “He was just trying his luck. I bet kissing him is like licking a brass doorknob.”
That made Sevika chuckle, and you thought even Silco’s lips twitched up for a second, but it could have just been the lights from outside shifting as the elevator descended. He said nothing on the way down, but you could tell he wasn’t happy. You couldn’t begin to guess what he was planning, but the thought that Finn would soon be feeling the wrath of the Eye of Zaun was more exciting than it should have been.
-
A few days later, you had your answer.
Silco called you to his office towards the end of the day, when the bar downstairs was starting to empty and the sliver of sky you could see from the street was lightening, dawn turning the neon haze that bathed the city sickly green like a healing bruise. Zaun’s nocturnal schedule was one thing you’d always loved about it compared with Piltover. It gave everything that happened in the undercity an air of vice, and when you entered Silco’s office to find him already watching you with sharp eyes that felt like they could peel back every layer of your clothing, you knew your evening was about to get a lot more interesting.
“How do you feel about staying a little late tonight?” Silco said as you approached his desk. He turned his chair to the side, and that was all the signal you needed to round the desk and sink down into his lap.
“Need me to reorganise your filing cabinets again?” you said with an arch of your brows.
Silco took a cigar from the ashtray, and he didn’t need to ask you to light it for him. “Not quite. I’ve invited Finn here to discuss the territory dispute he was having with the Vyx. Tell me, do you truly find him so repulsive?”
“I…” You trailed off, wondering where this was going, but Silco’s ever-schooled expression gave you no hints. “Not repulsive, no. Just irritating.”
“And if I were to ask you to help him remember his place after the Assembly, what would you say?”
Ah. So this was where the other shoe dropped. For Finn, at least. The slow, almost absentminded circles Silco was drawing on your inner thigh (to the extent that Silco did anything absentmindedly) gave you a pretty good idea of what kind of plans Silco had made for the chem baron. “I suppose I could tolerate it for the sake of teaching him a lesson,” you said, keeping your voice light.
A slow, predatory smile spread across Silco’s features, and you shuddered. You’d been on the receiving end of that expression more than once. “Good girl. Now, go sit at your desk and look busy. You’ll know when I’m ready for you.”
-
When Finn arrived, you played the part of the quiet, unassuming assistant with practiced ease. You met him at the bar and led him upstairs, laughing off the flirtatious comments he made and putting a little extra sway into your hips for good measure. You fetched coffee and sat at your desk in the corner of the office, making yourself invisible as you let the scratching of your pen fill the gaps in the two chem barons’ conversation.
If Finn sensed anything was different, he gave no sign of it, sitting casually on Silco’s couch with one foot propped on his other knee, fidgeting with his lighter as he spoke. It was a wonder he ever got to light anything with it after wasting all the fuel.
You watched him from under your lashes as you worked. He wasn’t bad looking, really, just a little…over the top. If he noticed you watching, he wisely didn’t acknowledge it in front of Silco.
It was a little late for him to suddenly get some common sense, but you appreciated the effort anyway.
“There’s one more matter we need to discuss.” The chill that had crept into Silco’s voice made the hair on the back of your neck prickle. “Your transgression at the last chem baron assembly.” You heard his chair creak as he leaned back, but you didn’t dare look over at him.
“My—this is about her?” Finn said, his eyes finding you for the first time.
You could almost hear the unimpressed arch of Silco’s eyebrow in his voice. “My assistant made it quite clear she wasn’t interested in you, professionally or otherwise, yet you continued to pursue her, never once considering if perhaps there was a reason for her disinterest. One might even think you were trying to poach my staff from right under my nose. This was a grave insult towards both of us, Finn.”
For a second Finn’s mouth hung open as his eyes flitted between the two of you. You put your pen down, resting your chin on your hand as you watched the younger chem baron flounder. “I wasn’t—Silco, I would never try to take your staff from you. I just asked her out for a drink, that’s all, I swear.”
“I know,” Silco said, his voice deceptively light, and Finn’s whole body went rigid as he stood up and rounded his desk, but Silco only leaned on the other side, his arms folded as he looked down at Finn. “Just a moment of weakness, the temptation becoming too much for you, right? I’ll admit she can be something of a distraction.” He sighed, letting his words hang in the air, and you caught the exact moment Finn understood the implication, the suggestion that you weren’t just an assistant. By this point his eyes were so wide you would have laughed at the expression if you weren’t distracted by the heat already pooling low in your belly at what you knew was coming. Silco kept his eyes fixed on Finn as he held his hand out, long fingers crooked invitingly. “Come here, darling.”
You rose from your seat slowly, hardly daring to look at Silco as you came to stand between him and Finn. You already knew all the details of Silco’s plan, but you also knew that if you had a chance to dwell on what you were about to do, you’d lose your nerve. And you really didn’t want to back out now.
Finn’s metallic jaw hung loose as Silco’s hands trailed up your arms to the collar of your blouse, deft fingers undoing the buttons one by one. “You know, perhaps this situation is my fault,” he said as he pulled your blouse off your shoulders and tossed it aside. Next came your skirt, and you stepped out of your shoes and socks so you were stood there in only your undergarments. “Perhaps I haven’t been valuing your fantastic work ethic enough, Finn.” He punctuated that sentence by roughly unlacing your bra and tossing that aside too, so your tits bounced free. Your panties soon followed, another victim of the small knife Silco always kept up his sleeve.
Finn’s knuckles were now white, his hands clenched on his knees.
“Maybe it’s time I showed you how much I appreciate your contributions to the cause.”
Your nipples hardened to stiff, pebbled peaks, and you couldn’t tell if it was because of the cool air in the office or Silco’s voice sliding against your ear like satin.
“Fortunately for you, she’s had something of a change of heart. Haven’t you, sweetheart? Would you like to help me remind Finn exactly where he stands in our enterprise?”
You nodded, then hissed as he pinched your nipples in warning. “Yes, sir,” you said quickly.
Finn’s eyes flicked between you and Silco, and you could see his mind reeling, searching for the catch. You could hardly blame him – though he made no move to leave, and his tight pants were doing absolutely nothing to hide his interest.
“Sure,” he said, shrugging in a way that was probably supposed to look nonchalant but would fool absolutely no-one. He glanced towards the door. “We could just—”
“Oh, no,” Silco said, nudging you towards the couch. “I think my office is perfectly sufficient.”
You knelt on the couch next to Finn, your hands braced on his thighs as he slowly shifted to face you. You wondered if he was even conscious of the movement. You glanced up at him, noted the slight flush on his cheeks. His throat bobbed as he swallowed, and you could see the exact moment he thought, fuck it. He gave a short, jerky nod and you took that as your cue to free his cock from his jeans. You took him in your hand, already half-hard, but then you stopped, your eyebrows raising as you saw the three piercings near the bottom of his shaft, on the underside. They were gold barbells capped with large, heavy diamonds, and you wondered if they’d come before or after the jaw.
“What’s wrong? Can’t handle a bit of ice, baby?” Finn purred.
“It won’t be a problem,” Silco answered for you. You glanced over your shoulder to find him leaning on the edge of his desk, watching with feigned boredom, though the heat in the depths of his corrupted eye gave him away. “She’s quite capable. Continue.”
You spat into your palm and worked your hand over the head of Finn’s cock. It didn’t take long to coax him to full hardness. When you glanced up at him, you could see he was doing his best to keep his expression schooled (which shouldn’t have been hard for him, given that half his face was metal). His fingers twitched as if he wanted to touch you but thought better of it. Maybe he wasn’t as dense as he seemed.
The couch dipped under you as Silco knelt behind you, and Finn looked up in alarm. “I never said you’d have her all to yourself,” your boss said over your shoulder. For a moment you were sure Finn would object, but he only chuckled, though his laughter was strained. “So that’s the deal with you two.”
“Yes, Finn, that is the deal,” Silco said, and your stomach twisted in anticipation as his hand fisted in your hair. “You got there eventually.”
“Come on, old man,” Finn said, some of his earlier bravado finding its way back into his voice. “You’re the last chem-baron I’d think would be fucking his assistant.”
“I suppose I’m full of surprises,” Silco said dryly, tapping a spot on your back, and you obediently put both hands behind your back so that Silco could pin them in place, your balance now completely dependent on him.
He leaned down, his lips grazing your ear and his voice soft enough for only you to hear. “Still okay with this, sweetheart?”
“Yes, sir.”
“And what is our signal? Do you remember?”
“Tap your leg with my foot twice for a breather, three times to stop,” you recited.
“Good girl,” he murmured, and then he was pushing your head down.
For a few moments he only held your head at the tip of Finn’s cock, letting you take your time teasing the tip with your tongue. When you glanced up, your eyes met Finn’s, and you thought you heard him curse under his breath. Then you had to break eye contact as Silco forced your head lower, guiding Finn into your throat as you ran your tongue over the underside of his shaft, earning yourself a shaky, measured exhale that suggested it was taking all of Finn’s willpower not to start fucking your throat at his own pace.
Then Silco was pulling you back up, the sting in your scalp making your eyes water, though it was just the right kind of pain that sent flashes of heat along your spine. The heat between your thighs had solidified into a persistent, heavy ache, and you hoped Silco wasn’t planning for this to end with you simply sucking Finn's cock– and it wouldn’t, if the growing hardness you could feel pressing into your ass was any indication.
You took a breath while you could, before Silco pushed your head back down, this time far enough for you to give the first piercing an experimental flick with your tongue as it passed your lips, which made Finn’s breath stutter and his cock twitch in your throat.
There wasn’t time for such indulgences after that. Once you’d adjusted to Finn’s size and figured out how to avoid catching the stupid diamonds on your incisors, Silco set a more brutal pace that made Finn curse through gritted teeth as your head bobbed on his cock, though it was never more than you could handle. Silco knew exactly how much you could take, and he knew how to toe the line without pushing you over it, seemingly having some sixth sense for the moment your vision started to darken from lack of air. Your jaw ached and tears pricked at your eyes from the pain in your scalp, surely ruining your eyeliner, but not once did you consider tapping out.
Silco let go of your hands, but you kept them clasped behind your back anyway. The vicelike grip he’d had on them had made his point clear enough; your every movement was to be at his command, your obedience complete. The sound of buttons popping was barely audible over the wet sounds of your mouth on Finn’s length, but it still sent shivers of anticipation along your every nerve. You bit back a desperate whine when you felt Silco slowly draw his cock through your heat, coating himself in the wetness that had gathered there.
“Look at me, Finn,” Silco said, his voice like velvet, and your eyes fluttered closed in pleasure as he sank into you, though the pressure of being filled at last did nothing to soothe the ache in your core. You risked a cheeky thrust of your hips backwards, urging him deeper, which earned you a warning tug on your scalp. You couldn’t see whether Finn obeyed, but he must have, because Silco continued, “This could have been you right now. Had you kept your head down, done your damn job and kept the money coming in, perhaps I would have seen fit to reward you properly.” He drew himself almost fully out of you before thrusting back in to the base, your groan of pleasure muffled by Finn’s cock. Silco had forced you to take him so deep your nose was pressed to his groin, and your mind felt fuzzy, but you still had enough wit to think to yourself, liar. Silco might be willing to allow Finn to indulge in your mouth, but he had an ulterior motive. Anything else was about as likely as a Shimmerhead sharing his fix. “But no,” he continued, his voice sliding into a low, dangerous hiss that made your skin prickle with goosebumps. “You had to poke your head up above your station. You had to get cocky. You had to try to claim what isn’t yours. I want you to remember this next time you think of stepping out of line.” His voice was as measured as ever, his tone bordering on disinterest, but you knew better. You heard the gravelly bedrock beneath the silken surface. He’s close. “Remember who built this nation. Who gave you your own little fiefdoms where you can live like kings, instead of street dogs tearing each other apart over scraps. And remember how easily I can tear you down, just as swiftly as I raised you up.”
As if to illustrate his point, he pulled your head up so you released Finn’s cock and your spluttering gasps filled the quiet, occasionally dissolving into desperate whimpers as Silco fucked you, just a little slower than he knew you liked, the bastard.
When you risked another glance up at Finn, you could see the cogs turning behind his lust-clouded eyes, even as he subconsciously angled his hips up towards your waiting mouth.
“All right, I overstepped,” he gritted out. “I already said I was sorry.” You thought you caught a please whispered under his breath, or maybe it was just the blood rushing in your ears.
Silco gave a low hm of consideration but pushed your head back down regardless, and you obediently opened your mouth to take Finn into your throat once more. This time the pace Silco set was more intense, and you had to fight off your gag reflex as Finn shuddered beneath you.
“Everything you have, everything you are, exists because I allow it. Both of you,” he said, driving into you faster, your tits bouncing obscenely with the force of it. “But look at her, you’re grateful, aren’t you darling?”
You gave a choked moan around Finn’s cock, and Silco chuckled, the sound rich and smoky and tipping you dangerously close to a peak you weren’t sure you had permission to reach. “That’s it,” he said, fingers finding their way to your clit as if to reward your obedience. “Always so well behaved. You could stand to learn a few things, Finn.”
The tight, quick circles Silco was drawing on your clit were enough to send you careening into your orgasm, permission be damned. Your eyes rolled back in your head as you clenched around Silco’s cock, waves of pleasure radiating from your core to the tips of your toes, and the force of it soon pulled Silco down with you, though the only thing that gave him away was the stutter in the rhythm of his hips and the tightening of his hand in your hair.
He pulled out of you and quickly tucked himself away, pulling you off Finn once again. You panted as the aftershocks of your orgasm skittered along your nerves, a string of drool connecting you to the tip of Finn’s dick. “If you want to finish,” Silco said, “you can start by apologising to my assistant.”
“Fuck,” Finn snapped when you gave a taunting little lick to his head when he took his time answering. “I’m sorry, alright? I didn’t mean – I shoulda left you alone when you said. I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable, it was just flirting.”
“Acceptable?” Silco leaned down to speak softly into your ear again, and you shivered in pleasure at the attention.
You looked up at Finn through your lashes. His sleek hair was a mess, his cheeks flushed, and his gold eyes had a wildness to them you’d never seen before, like he was balancing on the edge of a building and you were the one holding him up, and he didn’t know if you were about to save him or let him fall.
It occurred to you that you could say no. One word from you, and Silco would send Finn scuttling out of here with balls as blue as Hex-crystals.
That was probably what Silco would have done, if it were up to him. Fortunately for Finn, you weren’t so cruel. Your throat was raw and the words wouldn’t come, so you just nodded. It was enough.
“Very well.” Silco released your hair and sat back against the couch. “You may finish, Finn.”
“In her mouth?” he said as you swirled your tongue around his head once more, this time able to use your hands as well, sparing your abused throat.
There was a click and fizz of a lighter, and you could picture very well the withering glare that Silco had to be aiming over your head. “Well, if you ruin my couch I’ll have you gutted alive. So yes, come in her mouth.”
You hollowed out your cheeks and sucked, and that was all it took. Finn came with a growl he barely stifled, boldly grabbing your hair and holding you in place as he fucked your throat, spilling over your tongue again and again as you swallowed it down. You were relieved when you could finally release him, giving one last flick of your tongue to his tip, making him hiss. It was only fair, you thought, considering the ache in your jaw.
“Get out,” Silco said quietly from behind you. “And never pull something like this again. Next time I will not be so lenient.”
Finn said nothing, only tucked himself into his pants and ducked out the door, his usual swagger gone. You weren’t fooled, though. You knew the look of a man who’d just had the best orgasm of his life.
Sighing, you flopped back on the couch, your head landing in Silco’s lap as your eyes fluttered shut in contentment.
“Was that too much?” Silco asked softly. He stroked a stray strand of hair away from your face, his touch featherlight compared to the iron grip he’d just had on your scalp.
You shook your head, breathing in the cloud of smoke he let drift down over you. “But you’re buying me a wig if I wake up bald tomorrow.”
He chuckled, the rich, dark sound curling out from his lips and settling over you much like the smoke had, sending heat curling in your belly once more. “Deal.”

Staking a claim
Silco x gn!reader (implied afab in some places)
Silco catches Finn's eyes wondering to you during s meeting, and he takes it upon himself to set a boundary and show him as well as the others where you belong
WARNINGS: SFW Fluff, violent impulses, thoughts of violence, mention of knife, jealous Silco, possessive Silco, Finn in general being kinda creep, light man handling (Silco and you) if you squint. Mostly a fluffy, jealous, self indulgent Silco being possessive fic
word count: 1879
The meeting room filled with the sound of the Chen barons banter, talking over each-other, yelling at each other, trying to make the deals that helped their empires survive. Despite this, Silco sat quietly. He held his head, his forefingers resting on his tightened temples as the barons tried to argue over little things that felt rather insignificant, at least to him. His eyes flickered upward as Renni screeched something about her child..his work, why Silco hadn't checked his workers conditions recently. "So tell me Silco, why the FUCK IS MY CHILD COMPLAINING OF A LACK PROPER BREAKS?" She howled like a cat, pointing her finger at the Eye of Zaun as if he was a common resident of the under-city filth. "..If you don't like it..take him for your factories. It's not as if he does much for me, I can always replace it." "It?" She snapped, twitching her head to the side before the rest of the table erupted in annoyance at the remark, aggravated as the subject changed from business. Silco leaned forward, rubbing the bridge of his nose and nearly scraping his nails across the surface of the table as Finn decided he too was going to throw an unwanted opinion into the mix. "Maybe the old man has grown too senile too track who he has working for him?" He snickered, flicking his lighter open again before snapping it closed in time. He smirked amusingly, his golden lower jaw making a light click noise as his upper lip curled. Silco thought he was going to have an aneurysm..this was ridiculous, these people were insane, what the hell happened to business talk? Stats? Perhaps a fucking report on sales or territory? Exhausting..EXHAUSTING. His muscles felt tight, tense and aching from simply being around these people, and he began to memorize exactly how to reach his blade in time if he grew so tense that he would need to bury it in someone's head. As the gaggle continued their squabbles, his kind flickered someplace else, his schedule carefully recited in his head, anything to distract him from this gossip. And that distraction came just in time, his hand nearly to the hilt of his blade when the knock on the glass door cut though the noise in the room, their gaze all falling upon the shadow behind the door before it entered. Sevika glanced at the handle of the door, then to Silco for his approval, which he promptly gave. Opening the door, the Barons watched the shadow form reveal itself. You stood close to the door, hurrying in once it was open. You give a quick nod of hello to Sevika, before turning to find Silco in the sea of Zauns royals. Silco caught your eyes swiftly, sparking a obvious sense of relief in the his gaze as you slowly began to make your way over. Silco moved his gaze away from your form for a moment, "Forgive me for not informing you all before hand," he started, his hand slipping away from his blade easily in favor of placing it instead against the grain of the table, "An associate of mine is here to deliver something important for all of us I believe" His eyes flicked back to you, stopping in front of the group to quickly give a little bow of acknowledgment to the table before awkwardly moving around the opposite side from Silco, not seeing a way to get to him the other way. He glanced over your body as he often did, memorizing the outfit for today..it wasn't often he saw you in trousers. But today you wore an exceedingly high waisted pair, pinstriped down and a button down waist band that extended to just under your breasts, perfectly expressing your curves. As usual though, you wore one of those frilly white button down shirts, fitting loose around your collar bone as you had left the first two buttons go unfastened. The glint of a high neck chocker wrapped your long neck, a lovely black velvet with a lining of gold.. definitely chose that with purpose. The Barons swiftly disregard the new comer, returning to their now mostly business mind set and conversation. Silco explained further, buying you more time to find a way to his side, "My associate," he quietly udders your name, its short..affectionate, "has found business in surveying the under city..hiding cameras everywhere in order to catch any activity they're able to catch." The words sent a bit of tension around the table, the idea of records being kept of business seeming unnerving, "However, I have struck my deal with our lovely audience" He brought a hand up, gesturing toward you in reference to his comment "And they in turn have offered their services for our cause, in-fact they have already proven quite a valuable asset to my own business..surveillance is a powerful tool in terms of anyone trying to sneak or steal products." He explained, causing the tension to turn quickly to interest. It was true that thieves and the firelights had caused quite a few issues for all the Barons business, but camera..footage of the assailants could help it stop. Silco caught the unrest rising in his gaze, however what he caught also was the Silvery green eyes that had too began to track your careful movements. His attention snapped away from the other barons, letting them begin to whisper and conspire without him, this was more of his concern. Finn had now leaned back in his chair, watching as the figure quietly slipped closer to the head of the table where he resided, his eyes half lidded as he got a closer look at you. You made eye contact with him, giving a polite little greeting as you went to slip behind his chair, only to be cut off as he slid his chair back, offering to let you instead pass in front of him, "Please, allow me, little pet" he purred, swaying his hand across his lap suggestively. You nodded a little awkwardly, a pit of anxious tension settling in ur stomach at the sight of the gold plated man, stepping forward and turning too shimmy past his head of the table. Finns gaze dropped instantly to your lower half, not shy about how interested in the accentuated waist allowed your ass to be far more noticeable. Silco wasn't a jealous man, of course you don't belong to him however..you didn't belong to him by any capacity either. He could feel as his jaw clenched, at the almost painful sound of Finns new nickname for you. His hand slipped from the table, tickling down his side as he could see Finn hungrily watching your form move past, and his fingers grazed over the handle of his blade again. Finn let out quiet whistle as you turned back too your original position, erupting a quiet almost seething rage in Silcos stomach before he recognized the smell of your perfume as you finally arrived to his seat. The click of your heeled shoes finally ceased as you stopped next to Silcos chair. He lifted his searing gaze from Finns face, feeling the sudden chill of his nerves as his eyes met with yours and the fires were suffocated. You awkwardly nodded in hello, this time speaking, "Silco.." you muttered lightly. His hand impulsively moved from his blade, traveling up toward yours out of habit. "Hello dear," he returned, a hushed whisper of affection through a privately used nickname, meeting the feeling of a folder rather than your hand. His nerves tingled a bit, confused by the lack of warmth they expected. After a moment he snapped back to his original mind set, flipping open the folder and nodded after checking for the proper information needed. The folder slide to the center of the table, the Barons watching it as if it were a meal after days of starvation, "these are the recent photos taken from their surveillance of each of the local docks..as you will see they have a wide range that reaches across the under city," he started, not being able to help himself, checked to see that Finn still caught his eyes on you once again. He surveyed the pair as he spoke, "these however are photos I have of the recent firelight raid on a group of my distributors, and now with help we have identified the specific agents," his gaze fixated on the movement of Finn's eyes, flicking to meet Yours and smirking lightly, jutting his head upward as he made an attempt to gain your attention. Which is when he caught your eyes flickered toward the golden jawed man, not giving too much acknowledgment before tensing at the placement of Finns hand on his lap. "Now this all sounds..helpful surly," Smeech started, "what do your private eyes prefer payment?" He asked, tilting his gaze upward to You for her own reply. Silco torn his gaze from the interaction, taking a moment to let the barons fall quiet. You didn't reply, a little too focused on decoding Finns advance, but your attention quickly snapped back as you felt the sudden warmth of a hand snaking around her thigh. "They have agreed to negotiate their prices based on work." Silco cooed, his arm now wrapped around you, hand taking a firm grip on your clothed hip as Silco, tugged you lightly that you leaned against the arm rest in his chair. Your cheeks warm a bit, accepting however the advance, and propping yourself up on the arm rest. The group quietly muttered among themselves, Smeech speaking up again, "I will take the information for your contacts before we leave today," Silco nodded toward him, as well as accepting to gift the contact information to the rest who requested your info. His head tilted up to meet your gaze. In it he found a glimmer of pride, excitement surely at the prospect of this much business. You tilted her head downward, gifting Silco a little chuckle. 'Oh how Lovely..' he thought to himself quietly, slipping his hand further up your form to your rib cage as he tilted his head back to catch Finns frustrated expression. Silco smirked wildly at him, before returning to his business, now with a new toy to play with while the meeting continued. The barons were easy to please after a while, not quite as irritating once he had a firm place to grip on your side. You had now slipped a bit and tilted your weight into his shoulder, a movement Silco caught with eagerness. He didn't need to see you to know your intentions, especially once your hands rested on his shoulder. Reclining against him like a house cat did, however give him a much needed boost to his once sour mood. At this point all he could focus on was Finns annoyed gaze, all fixated on the pair. Deviously sour over the clear claim Silco had made on the pretty newcomer, and simply wanting the meeting to conclude so he could crawl back to whatever slimely home he had come from.
