yknow i think youre going in the right direction with the red stripes representing anger. but i dont think the red and white can be looked at separately. theyre two parts of one whole. on western culture white is often used to represent purity n shit. has me thinking that the two colours together say something along the lines of im nice im your friend im chill (but i sure dont have good intentions but hey funny stripes whos gonna be able to tell til its too late?) -🕹

-so then the cat is like “your parents aren’t home and it’s rainy” and we decided to go ALLLLLL AP ENGLISH on this fucker right? so basically the rain represents the cat’s sadness BUT when referring back to the red on the hat, the cat is also angry.

so this leads into a longer thought about the red and the rain together. what’s red and rain when put together? you’re ABSOLUTELY right. ketchup chips.

and as we all know ketchup chips are for the most part only available in canada, and the thing about that is that we aren’t in canada. so it’s hard to get those for us. which leads us back to the cat in the hat.

the cat finds it hard to get anything he needs. the cat is REACHING for something he needs, but instead he’s stuck causing trouble with these fuckin’ kids and shit. right? and that’s gotta... that’s gotta hurt. you know, it just... sometimes you gotta step back and look at things from another point of view.

so the point of view i decided to take was the one from ANOTHER famous seuss book, which is the lorax. now, the lorax? orange. right? just a funny little orange guy. and who ELSE is in the lorax? the onceler. what colour is the onceler? green.
