yo is anyone else deeply unnerved by the increasing popularity of gambling-themed games in arcades? like they're moving away from shit like pinball and skiball and street fighter and galaga, and moving toward games that are 1.50-2.50 a pop to gamble. in arcades, in pizza places... it feels like, idk, like they're trying to groom kids to be gambling addicts. idk. it's been bothering me for years but it's been getting worse and worse.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure Fishing Rage

I downloaded Hello Kitty Island Adventure because it looked like a cute, fun, cozy, relaxing game that I could play. Turns out this game is actually super frustrating! 😤 All because of the stupid fishing!!!! I have been completely unable to progress past this point. It's so annoying. This game was supposed to be a stress reliever but instead it only brought stress. 😞

At least I could make a video out of it though lol 😭 Anyways, hope you enjoy!

Ran into problems with Apple Game Center savefiles, then found a fix for it

Earlier tonight I ran into some strange systemwide glitch on my Apple TV.

Island Adventure showed a "Device save" contra "Cloud save" notice on each startup (The former suddenly being empty for some reason).

Ridiculous Fishing DX all of a sudden returned to the tutorial on each startup, as if my savefile(s) had vanished completely.

Sonic Dream Team and Easy Come Easy Golf seemed unaffected.

As usual, no one online had ever run into the same problem before in the history of mankind, so again I had to find the cause and how to fix it. Thankfully this one didn't take overly long; 50 minutes is very short for these kinds of situations.

The fix: Log out of Game Center in the Apple TV's account settings, then log in again.

Somehow even recover(s/ed) the Ridiculous Fishing DX savefile as well.
