“Sentai Red Isekai de Boukensha ni Naru” The Manga For Gets TV Anime in Winter 2025

The visual teaser for the television anime adaptation of Sentai Red Isekai de Boukensha ni Naru (The Red Ranger Becomes an Adventurer in Another World) manga by Koyoshi Nakayoshi was unveiled on the official website of production company Kadokawa. The anime series is slated to debut in January 2025.

thoughts on Barney Peanuts? Or Romeo?

How I feel about this character: Romeo feels like someone's little brother. I don't know whose little brother he is but he's someone's little brother. Maybe he's just a collective little brother for the older newsies. Or little sister. I really want Romeo to be a girl. As for Mr. Barney Peanuts: I did not know he was a canonical Newsies character for the longest time and thought he was simply a popular character to include because there was a real Barney Peanuts who served on the "Executive Committee" during the 1899 strike [x]. So props to Jack Scott for bringing Barney Peanuts to life because he's such a fun character.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Skipping this because it's my personal headcanon that Barney Peanuts and Romeo are both younger newsies (10-13).

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Hard question because Romeo is literally best friends with everyone. Whether you want to be friends or not. He WILL befriend you. This is a threat. Barney Peanuts is also pretty hard because I've never seen a boot with him in it. (Does one even exist?) But I think if Snipeshooter existed in papermill or Barney Peanuts in 92sies, the two of them would have gotten into some good ole mischief together. And he would have looked up to Bumlets I think.

My unpopular opinion about this character: As I mentioned above, I really want Romeo to be a newsgirl. Let her be a silly little girl who tries to imitate/impress her older brothers by trying to woo the ladies. It would just make her nickname so much better too. A boy named Romeo? Meh, that's fine I guess but it's been done before. A girl named Romeo? Exquisite.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: This is the one (1) time you will ever catch me saying this, but I wish Barney Peanuts had been a character in 92sies. He just needs a place to shine y'all and why shouldn't that have been 92sies? I love that he was inspired by a real newsboy and I wish that the other stage musical newsies had similar inspiration behind them. But then again I am a history nerd first. I wish he had made it into the final stage musical lineup. If we could have had Barney Peanuts, we could have had Army (who had only one arm), or Scotty Lavelle the "King of Chinatown", or Crazy Arborn and his prezels. Let us never forget the real kids who inspired Newsies in the first place, that's all I want to say.

Ok but if there is a cure for it, that means that Arborn ALSO slept through that class and Andallite traumatic stress response team is about to have a doozy.

If we assume the animorphs didn't bring up the ellimist after the war, how do you think they explained tobias' whole deal?

I think that a) they don't, and b) there's a ton of misguided speculation as a result.

At least in the first few years after the war becomes public, I assume almost no one would know how morphing works. There's, what, ~5 surviving Animorphs and ~20 ex-controllers who weren't on the Blade ship? And that's it for human morphers on Earth. So if Marco goes "our buddy Tobias got stuck in hawk morph (totally by accident!) but then he later recovered enough to start morphing again", then there's not necessarily anyone to come out of the woodwork and announce that that makes no sense. So maybe most humans think that it's sometimes possible to start morphing again after being nothlited, if they think about it at all.

As Earth's culture continues to change — more andalite tourists, more morphing humans — then I could see people as a whole starting to spot the contradiction. Andalite authorities in particular would probably be pissed off and frustrated by Tobias, because how dare this half-human walking-disgrace-to-Elfangor's-legacy be the one to figure out a morphing trick that none of them ever did. Tobias explaining that he's met their god, that he extorted their god, and that that's why he's a nothlited morpher, probably would only piss them off more. They might even refuse to believe him.

From there, I think that the version of the truth that trickles to most ordinary humans would be something like: "That Tobias guy got stuck in morph but then started morphing again? Yeah, he said he got that from his andalite god. I guess it hasn't happened with anyone else before, so you do you man. We all respect each other's religions, and if that's what he wants to think happened, that's cool with me."

Fantasy Galaxy: Ship Ideas and Arborn technology.

So, an idea for space travel was to use something like solar sails, that they use to travel on streams or waves of energy that flow through the galaxy.  Only larger ships would be able to handle the flow, so smaller personal ships or ferries would be used to travel from the larger ships or planets to other planets within a system.

Arborn tech would be fully organic and is grown rather than built.  Each machine is its own living thing like an arborn, but an empty shell, like other types of plants.  To operate one of these machines, an arborn connects its own nervous system into the machine, becoming its brain, and becoming one with the machine.The larger the machine, the more brain power is needed to pilot it.  Kinda like a planty child of a kaiju and jeager.  To strengthen the wood of the machines, they mix a mixture of minerals and other elements into the growth solution where the machines then take them in.

I’ve also mentioned this is a reprint (I posted the article from the New York Tribune last year, which you can find in the July 26th master post in the 1899 Calendar), but this version is much clearer, so I thought I would post it.

Cycled to Arborn today to deliver an unfinished drawing to a student for him to finish. The route (55 km, 690 m total altitude gain) offered some beautiful views over the hills of the Lahn-Dill-Bergland and the Westerwald and a small waterfall near Nenderoth. I also spotted an unholy alliance between Sauron and Saruman, judging from the tree-art near Münchhausen.

I headcanon that on the journey from rivendell to Bree Aragorn taught the hobbits about what not to eat in the forest. Partly to shut Pippin up, but mostly so his new friends wouldn't die from eating the purple berries before they even got to meet his adopted dad.

Jolt Drive then started an aliiance of enetertainers taking shelter from the war. this was a faliure as the cybertronian concil thought she was going against them and threatended her with empurata. without having a source of income to help keep stuff running in the alliance and energon on the planet running low, they had no choice but to flee. the llaince, and jolt drive, fled cybertron to a different planet occupied by other neutrals. there, they settled and jolt started up her career again, until fate started to march back in. they were going to be discovered by undercover Iacon agents when the planet they were on was going to collide with a larger one. jolt flea to her ship but a malfunction occurred in which it locked early and no one else could get on board. trying to figure out how to get the locks to open again, she accidentally set a course for earth, stranding her friends. the distance put her in stasis before she crashed onto earth. she was discovered by autobots months after her crash. she had woken up and learned how to survive by herself on the supplies she had. the autobots offed her a second place to stay, aside from her ship and she agreed to an alliance to that team. on the condition she share her energon and doesn't give away their base to the decepticons. she agreed, mainly because she wanted some company. mirage was involved in that team and had renamed himself 'Dino' due to his fascination with Italy upon arriving to earth as well as to hide himself from a decepticon he once exposed who may be after him. jolt immediately recognized Dino and was thrilled to see her cousin again. this actually made jolt feel more comfortable with the autobots since she had a relative around if something were to happen to her. she explained that she lost all communication with her team because of how damaged the communications got upon impact. upon finding out that the alliance suffered the same when they tried to leave the planet, jolt made a promise to restart the allaince and honor it in the legacy of her (what she assumed to be) fallen friends. now, with her cousin, Dino and the help of the autobots, she's surviving the war and trying to create a safe heaven for the oppressed and disabled. but little does she know, her friends are alive and well and are looking for her. until she does, she's only got Dino and the autobots. as long as they're nice to her and respect her, she feels safe. extra: - she is a cancer (zodiac) - her 'birthday' in human time is 20th of July - her birthstone is a ruby - she is bilingual, knowing English and Italian - her 'fangs' don't resmble snake fangs. they actually resemble cat fangs - her gas mask is meant to resemble cat whiskers. the lights are the wiskers and the filter is the cat nose - her visor has many functions including analysing facial expresions, calculating routes, reading stats on a weapon, internet access and many more.

Newsboy Strike: Day 7 - Monday, July 24, 1899

Newsboys Rally at Irving Hall

Who was striking? Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Staten Island, Long Island City, Mount Vernon, Newark, Troy, Clifton, Jersey City NJ, Hoboken NJ, Elizabeth NJ, Trenton NJ, Plainfield NJ, Fall River MA, New Haven CN, Norwalk CN, Cinncinnati OH

The World and Journal advertised for 700 men to sell their papers for $2/day, but the few who took the deal found the job difficult because they had to fight off boys determined to hit them with clubs. Even the people who tried to pick the discarded papers off the street to read for free found their papers torn from their hands and ripped up. Three distribution wagon drivers quit their jobs because they didn’t want to fight the boys any longer.

The Arbitration Committee went to the offices of the New York Journal to try to meet with Hearst as he had said he might be willing to do a few days before. They were kicked out of his offices without being allowed to talk to him.

The biggest event of the day was the rally held at Irving Place Theatre at 8 PM that night. It was attended by 5000-7000 newsboys depending on the source, and reporters from at least five newspapers. The boys couldn’t all fit in the hall, and according to the New York Times, 3000 of them were left outside the hall where they couldn’t hear the speeches but still cheered whenever they heard the boys inside cheer.

Nick Meyers presided over the meeting, and he was assisted in keeping order by two men with long switches. The meeting opened with speeches and words of encouragement from several prominent adults, including a representative for assemblyman Charley Adler, baseball star Frank P. Wood, ex-assemblyman Phillip Wissig, Mr. Brennan of the Newsdealers’ Association, newsdealer Mr. Fitzsimmons

After the adults, the strikers themselves spoke. Union president David Simmons read a list of resolutions asking newsdealers and advertisers to help them, Bob Indian complained Hearst told the boys he couldn’t sell the paper for less, Kid Blink and Racetrack Higgins each give compelling speeches, pretzel seller Crazy Arborn claims he was bribed $2/day to sell papers but he refused, Annie Kelly was pulled onstage unexpectedly and said a few words. Speeches were also given by Fishbone Skinneys, Cheek Gruber, Friedman Frockets, Kid Fish, Young Monix, Little Kikie, and Mickey Myers. The meeting ended with Hungry Joe Kiernan singing a song about a one-legged newsboy.

A floral horseshoe was donated by “an admirer of the newsboys” to be given to the boy who gave the best speech. Sources agree that it was a close call between Racetrack Higgins and Kid Blink, but in the end Kid Blink won it.
