***SPOILERS FOR THE PENULTIMATE SEASON 9 EPISODE!!!***

@joshscorcher and Aramau's wedding is less than a month away, and... the pressure's definitely on. And in regards to Ari's comment in the comic, in real life, me and @midnightbluerose93 are on opposite sides of the world (Australia for her, USA for me) and neither one of us is doing that great financially, so marriage might have to wait... but that doesn't mean I don't love her with all my heart! In fact, what I REALLY want is to just be able to see her in person again :(

Jasper's ACTUAL Thoughts: THE RUT IS OVER!!!! Yeah, the episodes in between Summer Sun Setback and this one... I thought were kinda bad... ESPECIALLY "Daring Doubt". I was worried that was gonna be the case for this one since the premise was SO PROMISING!!! And, thankfully, it ended up being a beautiful episode! The callbacks to "The Perfect Pear" and previous Big Mac episodes -ESPECIALLY the ones involving Sugar Belle, the clever way we got to see both halves of the same story from the bride and groom's perspective, the comedy (Like how Granny Smith's dream was basically Star Trek), and.... just the shipping feels! I also really loved how the characters are presented here - Big Mac taking a big step out of his comfort zone for someone he loves, Spike and Discord being his bros who kinda mess things up but they still have his back, Mrs. Cake getting a more prominent role (Kinda wish MR. Cake got the same respect), Sugar Belle's still a sweetie who wants Big Mac to be comfortable and happy, the CMC wanting to make amends for the last few times they kinda muddled in Big Mac's love life, and just... everyone was delightfully in character here. I think the one thing I don't really get was why they had it with little confessional scenes in between... not complaining, I liked them and they payoff that they were telling the story to Applejack (Full of liquid pride, no less) was a nice touch... just curious what made them decide to go that route. Add to it, overall, I really liked the episode's moral - somethings don't always go as planned, but sometimes the simplest acts done with a lot of heart are the ones that really matter. And yes, I DID see Lyra and Bon Bon proposing in the background.... nice to see that the staff decided "to hell with subtext! It's the final season, and we all know what 'best friends' is really implying for these two!"

Yeah, I know you're sick of this, but it's another commission. I'm sure you know the drill by know, but also make sure to message me before you just follow the link. :V

An interesting commission, but one I was more than happy to do with some MLP Analysts again. Been a while since I did one of these... So, me and the commissioner saw a video staring Aramau (AKA Ari, AKA Firebrand's wife, who in turn is the Fiery Joker) and she went on this big rant about Whitney. You know, cause she's the biggest brat in Pokemon. And, so here we are.

***SPOILERS FOR PART 1 OF THE SERIES FINALE!!!***

...Yup, plot twist time! I hate to do the cliffhanger cliche (That's a lie, I LOVE IT!!! :P), but y'all will have to wait until Part 2 this weekend... but trust me, you DON'T wanna miss it!

WARNING: Analysis is KINDA long ^^;

Jasper's ACTUAL Thoughts: (Gulp) Well, this is it... the ACTUAL beginning of the end - the final three episodes of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. And how does it start off? ....Pretty solid, actually! First of all, I wanna tackle two elephants in the room: the first being, of course, the twist with Discord being Grogar the whole time. Yes, I will admit, it would've been cool to see the ACTUAL Grogar in action and I kind of wish they kept him as his own character... but the twist with Discord actually works in three ways - 1) Big Jim Miller actually says that this was intentional because they wanted to have the final big baddies be someone FAMILIAR to the Mane 6 (I.E. three major villains from the past) ...it kinda makes more sense them letting them take the backseat for some noobie god who only got like... a HANDFUL of episodes 2) they hide it well - Grogar always disappearing on "missions", Discord frequently mentioning how Twilight really is ready to be head honcho of Equestria. 3) It shows what happens when Discord's methods of teaching completely backfire on him (I can't remember if it's been shown before. If it has, please let me know in the comments). Think about it - Discord always uses unconventional/trolling methods of teaching to try and help the ponies/teach them a lesson... and it usually ends up working. But after so many times his methods worked out, he becomes overconfident and ends up over his head... and it ends up biting him in the flank! This is actually the reality check he needed to show that mischief isn't always the best solution. Yes, he did a REALLY stupid... but I can kinda understand what he was going for trying to help his friends gain the confidence they really need... so yeah, kinda split with this. The second issue I keep hearing about - Tirek's excuse for not being able to control Chaos Magic when he didn't have issues with it in Season 4. I think I have a theory about what makes this different: if you recall, in Twilight's Kingdom, Tirek had already absorbed practically all of Equestrian Magic before betraying Discord. He had grown enormous, and achieved level mohawk! So, my theory.... maybe the magic he already absorbed balanced out the chaos magic? I might be wrong, but I'm just going off of how big and hairy Tirek was by the time he took Discord's magic. As for MY issues... eh, it was mostly how useless the Royal Guards, Pillars, and Celestia and Luna were in their respective fights (Seriously, the Pillars get smacked ONCE and they're down for the count), but that's just small potatoes. Everything else - the Mane 6's battle with Cozy Glow, Starlight's duel with Chrysalis, the ending cliffhanger, and the Mean 3 using fear to cause paranoia and segregation... REALLY excellent work (Seriously, Pinkie has a Party BAZOOKA now? I WANT ONE!!!). However, there is ONE very important lesson that needs to be taught... DON'T LOOK AWAY FROM AN EXPLOSION BECAUSE IT MAY NOT ACTUALLY BE OVER YET!!!!!

So yee, Aramau boards at the Pizzeria sometimes. Somepony's gotta keep Jasper in line when @midnightbluerose93 can't be around.

Jasper's ACTUAL Thoughts: ...eh, this one's not terrible, it's just kinda dumb. I dunno, maybe because I couldn't get behind the whole Spike x Rarity thing, but I kinda saw it as a crush and nothing more. I'm glad we're tying up the loose end of it and showing that Spike isn't as gaga crazy about Rarity anymore... just wish it didn't involve Rarity getting all possessive and jealous when she never even showed sign of returning his feelings (Spike ain't no toy, Marshmallow pone!). I didn't HATE the episode, I actually did like a few things - Rarity being overdramatic with her apologies (God bless Tabitha, when she sells it, SHE SELLS IT!!), Spike and Gabby are actually really cute together ^^ (I don't know if I ship them yet.... but I'm close), and like I said, great to see the whole Sparity thing come to an end -also a few subtle things like Derpy hastily closing shop when Rarity comes in with her big box of stuffs and Twilight basically needing her OWN fainting couch.

Jasper's ACTUAL thoughts: Ah, Lesson Zero Twilight ...a constant reminder that book horse PROBABLY has a straight jacket in her wardrobe somewhere. While it was nothing but fun watching her lose her marbles, and this episode is filled to the brim with memable faces (Also I don't know why, but the fact that Twilight has a nighttime shirt is cute ^^), I feel like this could've been a Season 2 episode where seeing her be kind of a dingle to her friends was appropriate... though I kinda forgot that she DOES have a history of obsessive behavior over something small (Like winning three Trivia Trots in a row... does she win a free toaster if she does?). Also, I kinda feel like it could've been funnier if Pinkie SOMEHOW actually got an impossible question right instead of repeatedly having her get every answer wrong. Overall.... ponies take Trivia Trot WAY TOO seriously around here, but the little bouts of insanity and meme faces helped balance things out a little... also at one point, I may or may not have been a TwiPie shipper ^^;
