Every time I have a random day off, all I can think about is how much happier and more put together I'd be if we had four-day work weeks.

And not "sure, you can have a four-day week, but you still need to put in 40 hours in a week."

Just. Four days. Get your work done. Sign off when it's done, don't feel obligated to fill the rest of your day just to say that you did.

#emynn.op #personal #I'm lucky my work does half day Fridays BUT it DOES come with the assumption you're still doing about 40 hours #and when I first started there it was a godsend #and it IS still nice #makes it easier to book appointments or leave early for long weekends etc #but in general.....idk 'shut down at 12' quickly becomes 'just let me finish this one thing after lunch'#and then I have therapy Friday afternoons now so usually I'm still not mentally done until 5 #but idk #Saturday was a rot day mixed with some holiday baking #Sunday I did a lot of chores but wasn't stressing #today I did more chores and holiday prep #and my house looks SO MUCH BETTER than it has in ages????#I've crossed things off my to do list that have been languishing there for weeks???#just imagine if I had this extra day every week #the pile up of 'oh I'll do this when I have more time/energy' would be so much less #anyway #ANYWAY. capitalism #kill it

me in the afternoon (like 2pm) listening to my mum yap about how she cancelled my specsavers appointment cuz I didn't wake up when she was calling me, KNOWING that I've been awake since 10am but just bedrotting >:3:

too many tasks scheduled for tomorrow 😭

#my boss last minute wanted me to go out and visit the site of the new location ill be managing #which im excited about but still. a task #and then when i messaged my gp about my earache today they were like. uh. lets get you in for an appointment Tomorrow.#would prefer friday but apparently protocol for my symptoms is that i should be seen within 24 hrs (whoops)#AND i need to find time to schedule an eye drs appointment and get the pharmacy to finally refill the cats inhaler #plus at some point hopefully ill get a call about the dog i want to adopt #and all this is on top of my regular work schedule

Sometimes your Mental Illness™ is kicking your ass and all you can do is offer the first hot, non-leftover meal you managed to prep in the day at 10:30 pm to Apollo & ask for help getting to *and* getting through your appointment tomorrow and that's okay

#the first thing i offered over the past two or three days b/c OOH boy this depression has HANDS #gonna be talking to my psychiatrist about changing meds b/c i think i've finally developed a tolerance to mine & im already on the high dose #so i dont really want to up it any more than it already has been (which is what she suggested last appointment)#i usually at least offer at hot meals but i didnt have the energy for that even #it doesnt help that im recovering from a big work presentation where i ran tech (aka keeping the powerpoints & other visual aids running)#all. day. which *i* offered to do but that doesnt make it any less tiring #...i also think i forgot to offer something to hermes that i was meaning to. gonna have to do that #i *was* planning on doing a tarot check-in on friday but uh. im definitely not in the right emotional headspace for that atm #gonna have to wait for when i can do more than lie in bed all day #listen to your body & brain folks. it's okay if all your energy has to go into riding something out #& you dont have the energy for all the rituals/prayers/offerings/etc that you usually do #coriander says #helpol #hellenic pagan #hellenic polytheism #hellenic community #apollo #my post #mental health cw #depression cw #ive been offering the steam from hot meals to hestia too ofc b/c. you know. first & last #it felt weird not mentioning that somewhere #i *do* offer to just her or to her 'and all the deathless gods of olympus' too

I'm very glad I'm as stable in my sobriety as i am bc i am definitely having cravings but I'm still able to think that it's not the answer.

#would being black out drunk feel good and be nice? yes for a few hours very much so #but then the consequences #and there would be many #my next therapy appointment is Tuesday #I'm gonna call tomorrow and see if i cant go a day early #i took away my husband's credit card #or well i told him 'i dont think you're someone who can use a CC responsibly'#and he is leaving it home and i put it in my desk #he is also giving me his bank account password and I'm check both of our accounts every Friday when i go over the budget #there's still a lot of apologies coming from my husband #i think he understands just how much he's fucked up #i told him that for me the last year is tainted now #every moment we shared for the last year he was lying to me #i look back and i feel sick #he might go spend a few nights at his parents to give me space to process and grieve #he doesn't want to tell him parents what he's done tho so i dont know what he'll say to them if he does go there for a few nights #he is also starting therapy asap to work through whatever caused this #and we'll be doing couples therapy in a few months #i still cant believe 10.000 is just gone #anyway #I'm sober and safe #and working on healing #ben gets personal

#my cat is sick and we don't know what with #we took her to the urgent care vet on Friday and they gave her fluids and pain meds and other meds #and we have a regular vet appointment on Monday #but she is barely eating or drinking #and lost a lot of weight #she had a high fever but it went down #I hope she will be okay but I'm afraid she is really sick
