hii, it's the anon that asked about red earlier. thank you so much for explaining I understand now! but also I would love to hear what inspired u to ship w/ red👀
(no pressure tho, I love reading about what drew ppl to their f/os, in a way it's like their story of how they met)
WELP OKAY HERE GOES!!! (thank you so much by the way, im always so happy to know there's people out there who enjoys my rambles!)
alright... these pictures should help get the idea first
so, almost a year ago - I actually started selfshipping with THIS red, but the twist is that he's a creepypasta equivalent for pokemon! or pokepasta I should say. keep in mind this isn't jaide :3 this is emme! she's only exclusive to the pokepasta media
this red design was taken from frid.ay nigh.t funki.n's community created mod named hypno's lullaby which basically revives the classic "scary" stories you'd hear back in the day but they turned it into a rhythm HORROR game ALSKAKKEKEKAA (if you know fri.day n.ight fun.kin then you probably know how this game could look like. it's so high quality for something that's community created.)
^^^ LOOK THERE HE IS ^^^ MY EDGELORD BABYGIRL
anyway so while I was busy crushing on this red, (he is named glitchy red here!) I kinda got curious how he actually looks like (my common knowledge for pokemon was very poor at the time) and mind you, I did not play pokemon yet. at least, I didn't get addicted yet 💀 so I went to check, saw the many iterations of red via his gallery etc etc and then... i saw sm red 😭 and I just ???????????????? hello???? that was the first time I saw him
.... and then I saw the fanart..... 💥💥 (which means. i now dig him too.) and that's how it happened 🧍i simultaneously like the spooki and normal one :3
thank you for listening ☕
#honestly very happy I get to talk about glitchy red because the day i started liking him is on october 26! itll almost be a year!!#though.... i ended up liking another iteration of red in the same medium along the way so like aksjhsjjkss 😭😭#literally falling for every red im sorry 😭😭😭😭#though im currently enjoying glitchy red in a more /p manner lately but redemme holds a special place in my heart#because it was the reason why i went back to playing pokemon ^^ like if it werent for me checking this horror mod-#appleshipping would not have happened at all#its also thanks to my friends who- despite how niche the pokepasta community is - still stayed to interact with me abt pokepasta#i was actually suuuper shy to open up about glitchy red because hes my first “horror”esque f/o#this got a little sentimental because its almost a year now but thats it! :]#thank you for allowing me to talk about him!#me and my friends are still riding high on the spooky hype because they actually got a big update for pokepasta coming soon and we're happy!#so you might see glitchy pop up again#~ mailbox#anon tag

Day 7: Of Amores, Per the Prophecy @arcvmonth
My favorite pairing is Fruitshipping by far. Initially, I wasn't too into it. Yuya and Yuzu had plenty of cute moments in season one that showed off their friendship and hinted at some romantic feelings between them, most noticeably their cute moment after Yuya gives Yuzu Polymerization back and when Yuzu's second round victory made Yuya smile, but I didn't become a fan of the pairing until season two. Yuya openly crying when he thought that Yuzu had been carded just broke my heart. He always wears his heart on his sleeve, but he would try to hide his tears with his goggles, even when he was a little kid. Not even attempting to hide back his tears just showed how losing Yuzu hit him hard. He already had been through a few really difficult days at that point, but Yuya clearly can't handle losing people well after his father disappeared. Just seeing Yuya go through such a raw emotional breakdown and attempting to punch Reiji after blaming him for what happened just made me love the pairing instantly.
I think it also helped that their friendship and connection never felt one-sided to me. Yuzu's entire world didn't revolve around Yuya. Their relationship was always important, but it didn't mean that she couldn't have other important relationships either. They were supporting each other throughout the series. It wasn't just Yuya reaching out to save Yuzu. She would reach out to him through her first match in the Friendship Cup or when she made that speech during the riots near the end of the Synchro arc. Even during the last stretch of the series, Yuya wanted to save Yuzu and Reira after they had saved him. While having a love confession during the finale would have been nice and appealed to my inner hopeless romantic, I don't think it was necessary. Whether people saw their relationship as romantic or platonic, they clearly loved each other. Both Yuya and Yuzu had gone through so much throughout the series to find each other again, so it was clear that there was love between them. Reading their relationship as platonic isn't worse than romantic or vice versa, which gives the pairing a kind of universal appeal in a way.
I also like Appleshipping. While it is primarily through flashbacks, it's still enough to give the audience a good insight into Yugo and Rin's relationship. Even Yugo's gag with mistaking both Yuzu and Serena as Rin can be taken as as sign for just how much he cares about her. Yugo always looked so excited at the idea of Rin suddenly appearing and he was over the moon when he kept seeing Rin while dueling Serena. It’s just really cute and sweet pairing. Much like Yuya, I don't think Yugo realized how much he cared about Rin until she was gone. Their reunion at Academia was emotional and I'd like to think that right up until the creepy smile, that was really Rin talking and crying to Yugo. Their duel was also pretty emotional and shocking. Now I actually do like the ending as a whole and don't read their ending as depressing or tragic either. They are permanent fusions with their respective counterparts, but they still exist and are reunited through Yuya and Yuzu.
I also really like Genesisshipping. While it seems unlikely that Zarc and Ray knew each other in the Original World, I just like the idea of what if they had been able to form a connection. Zarc's downfall obviously had to happen since without it, we wouldn't have a story or any of the characters. Not just the counterparts, but none of the different characters throughout the four Dimensions would have existed either. But the idea that Ray's friendship could have helped Zarc is just appealing. Almost all of the Bracelet Girls were able to develop strong connections to their respective Dragon Boy, which always made me think that Zarc and Ray could have become friends if they had been able to meet prior to Zarc's downfall. It would have helped Zarc to have a connection, but I think it would have been able to help Ray as well. Seemingly no one else besides Zarc and Ray could understand monsters' feelings in the Original World, so having someone else who knew what that was like could have been helpful to both of them.

happy new year! ; my farewell letter to 2023.
last year, ive written a similar farewell letter to 2022 and i want to make this a little tradition - so here's my second one <3
okay, so - wow. first of all, just wow.
this might be incredibly bold to say, but i think this has been my best year to be alive (i promise you i do not want to sound corny about it, but i really think 2023 was amazing for me.) of course, many things happened. im at my last year of senior high before i go to college, which is very scary but i hope i can be brave for it. school has been actually very generous to me recently, despite a few minor setbacks that looked very major when i was going through it, but overall it was very generous to me. but irl rambling is boring, so let's talk about my selfshipping blog!
last year, i had a verrrry firm grip on a previous f/o that im 100% sure old followers know - though im a little sad I can't find that spark to focus on him again - the shift in media has helped me find new f/os that i can say has been incredibly memorable to me. as we all know, im in a very INSANE pokemon brainrot since november or october(?) of 2022 and it has still remained heavily active in my head right now - which i honestly didn't even know i had the full capacity of doing! I don't know what magic this game did to me but i promise you im so happy i revisited this game again.
i would talk about how grateful i am to everyone has been supportive and sweet about my romantic f/os but i think the best highlight of my blog is my newfound love for my familial f/os - before that, i never had a single one on my list because i was simply quite disconnected to the family love concept, but after indulging myself in pokemon - i would come to discover pokemon adve.ntures, or poke.spe for short hehe. i have so many fond memories of finding myself wanting to read more and MORE - i would have every chapter downloaded beforehand just so that i can read it in my spare time, not even school that demanded my attention would stop me from sneaking my phone to quickly read through the manga LMAOO - but consuming the media itself wasn't enough, i needed people to understand the ROLLERCOASTER of emotions i had while reading and well, i think its very clear who those people were, the ones who came to save my miserable ass from (insert shocking scene in poke.spe) AHSJHSHSJSJS you know who you are and i appreciate you forever and they - i kid you not, helped me create something wonderful!
but of course, the video games were just as amazing. would you believe me if i told you i played gens 1 to 7 in one year? that's how much i adore the game and i still have yet to catch up to other games like the spin offs :] im not sure how to end this statement but. im so happy appleshipping and memoryshipping exists 🥹 i usually don't like thinking that they'll be with me forever because i believe nothing lasts for eternity but i just wanna say that they were just ... im just so contented 🥹 again, all of this actually would not have been so impactful to me if it weren't for my awesome mutuals hearing me out about it and supplying me with even more ideas - these mutuals would also end up becoming such loving friends of mine that helped me get out of my comfort zone and im still happy they're around (hi guys!) 💚
oh! and, what a surprise, i never thought id have an oc f/o! i initially thought that this was so impossible to do but?!??;?! it just happened i guess!!!! i keep surprising myself this year 😭
ok now here's the obligatory art summary for the year 💥
literally the best thing i ever done with my art is try using csp and it actually really helped me change the way i draw, and i even managed to cross out a few items in my last year's resolution thanks to it! i still bounce between using ibispaint and csp but i certainly improved!
the last thing im forever grateful about are the people who has been consistently supportive of my art - especially the commissions, i can't stress it enough how much it has helped me outside and it allowed me to go beyond my comfort zone when it comes to my drawing skills :']] thank you all so much
and finally, big thank you to everyone who sent me nice letters to my tree 🥹💚 its a gentle reminder that im actually ... pretty cool ig 🥹 and if you didn't send one, that's also ok!! you're still cool for reading this mwamwa
again im so bad at ending posts like these but cheers to a new year and let's hope it'll be better for everyone. 💚🫡 goodbye 2023!

Hugoooooo aannnd Uteeeee ! ! !(I mean I want to heard about how do you think about Yuto&Yugo. )
OH BOY! I have many feelings about these two!!
Yugo!
How I feel about this character:
I absolutely adore this sweet idiot, while he is very funny at times as a kind of comic relief character; Yugo has a lot of depth outside of that. He is a very sweet and caring kid, he knows very well that he acts before he thinks and owns up to it. With everything that goes on in the series, his behavior is justified, he's upset and angry about losing Rin. Someone very special and precious to him, Yugo is allowed to feel what he does and act on his strong emotions. He is just such a good character, everything he does is emotionally driven because he just has a huge heart to compensate for lack of brain cells. Yugo is sweet, dumb and funny, it adds some charm to his character!
All the people I ship romantically with character:
Rin!!!!! Of course! appleshipping is very wholesome! Rin meant the WORLD to Yugo! His reaction when Yuzu assumed Rin was Yugo's girlfriend is one of the sweetest scenes, him blushing and rocking side to side was just precious. Yugo adored her to the moon and back and went around anywhere and everywhere to look for her. Their dynamic is just too sweet, the way Yugo even cared for his d-wheel so much because they worked so hard to build it together is just another reason they're so perfect. Yugo has and only will ever like Rin.
my non-romantic OTP for this character:
Yuya!!!! The idiot and idiot duo. Best friends. Same braincell. These two would just get along so well, always smiling and laughing with eachother. They would have the most wholesome duels for just the fun of it. They deserved to have some interaction in canon, because just that scene when they were syncing during the duel was not enough. If they directly interacted they would just spider-man meme point at eachother and instantly become friends, Yuya would've been more than happy to help Yugo look for Rin.
One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon:
A better reunion between Yugo and Rin would've been nice. Like the parasite thing was depressing, and then bam he never sees her again because she goes into the machine for Ray to be awakened. It was way too sad of an ending for those two and they deserved so much better. The whole thing with Rin always beating Yugo should've been an emotional build up within Yugo to beat Rin in their duel, Yugo wins and Rin becomes free of parasite control and they hug tightly. Rin tells Yugo thank you with tears in her eyes, she'd tell him he did a good job! Cue Yugo sobbing and holding Rin tightly because he never wants her to disappear again. Then Yugo can go look for Yuri to duel him and kick his butt for kidnapping Rin.
Yuto!!
How I feel about this character:
My second favorite of the Yu's! Immediatly at his introduction, I basically just went "Who is this emo child waltzing around, he is amazing" bam its a different version of Yuya. I thought his design and behavior were interesting, he was very angry but also it was sad to hear him apologize to Yuzu and to say he doesn't want to hurt her. You know he carries that guilt about Ruri and its rather sad. Yuto is such a good boy and he deserved way better than what he got. But at least within Yuya, he smiles and communicates with him, their bond through the series is very good. Yuto is very clearly a good sweet boy that went through way too much that he did not deserve. Protect him at all costs.
All the people I ship romantically with character:
Ruri!!! Im a big fallenangel shipper. I know there are people that don't like it despite it being one of the most canon couples aside from Yugo/Rin. The series made it very clear in the short flashbacks that they mutually had feelings for eachother. Yuto literally started crushing on Ruri immediately and was so awestruck; its freaking adorable. And that scene when he gets shy when Ruri rests her head on his shoulder??? CUTE! im cliche okay, they're very fluffy together. Plus the fact that Yuto falls for his best friends sister is rather precious, thats good stuff right there. Yuto really adored Ruri, and it was so sad to hear him say things like he didn't want to hurt her. What happened was not his fault.
my non-romantic OTP for this character:
Yuya! The other best friend pairing, their interactions through the series is very wholesome. Yuto really showed his true personality through the time he is within Yuya. Yuto is a doofus very much like Yuya who was scorned by war, but he smiles because of Yuya and even has funny comments here and there at times. Their bond is very very good, they understood eachother very well.
One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon:
OH BOY! for starters it would've nice if Yuto and Yugo didn't have their miscommunication at all that lead to Yuto being absorbed into Yuya. That's one of the things that really upsets me in this series, Yuto is angry and out for revenge, all he knows is the face of the person who kidnapped Ruri and he sees Yugo. It makes sense for their to be that mistake, but Yugo literally blames Yuto for the same exact thing he's mad about it.
Yuto the one maybe more prone to using common sense would've heard Yugo blaming him for kidnapping Rin and thought ?? wait a minute, no! You kidnapped Ruri!! Its very much both their faults for not stopping for a second to understand this huge red flag in the situation and not just duel. Boys, use your brains and take a second to chat. They would've learned somethings not right and they're both innocent. Yuya could've also helped calm them both down. So instead of Yuto "dying" he and Yugo actually could've gotten along and teamed up together against Yuri...the real mastermind.

15 Appleshipping
15.… passionately.
requests: closed, words harder than first thought
The engine revved perfectly, contrary to the skid marks on the ground and the singed ceiling and smoke which clung, so thickly, to the stale air of the garage. They had tried four times today to get their D Wheel going to no avail but on that fifth turn, something happened. Things just went right. Rin couldn’t explain it and Yugo didn’t care. It worked.
After all these years, it worked. They had a D Wheel, all to themselves, built from the ground up from what they could scavenge and barter. Not a lick of it wasn’t recycled from something.
And they couldn’t have been prouder.
That pride bristled through them with satisfaction and hope. If they could keep their D Wheel working, then it was entirely possible that they could ride it all the way to the Top. They would be bathing in champagne and eating all the finest goods in all the city. It was amazing and that energy, so spiky inside of them, had to go somewhere.
Yugo couldn’t help himself. He took Rin’s hand and pulled her in close in her own celebrations. He looked deep into her eyes, they were gold and wide as she wondered, curious and tentative but not rejecting, of his intentions. He held her with his other arm and he kissed her.
Rin swallowed a breath and she closed her eyes to Yugo. She supposed that it couldn’t hurt. Her heart thumped in her chest whilst Yugo so roughly pressed his lips, unchapped and rough, onto hers; also, uncapped and rough. It was almost nice. Even as Yugo tried to poke his tongue into Rin’s mouth. Ultimately, she let him. They had no toasts to drink, not even a bottle of water, so they may as well let this be all there was to celebrate the Clear Wings D Wheel.

Arc V Month Day 12: Favorite Ships
ohohohoho, did you mean my favorite day?? I love talking about ships, I love exploring possible character dynamics whether those are romantic, platonic, sexual, antagonistic, or whatever, and Arc V is FULL of great character dynamics as well as great potential ones that while they never interacted much or at all in canon, I still think would be really fun to play with
I could talk for hours about ships, and I have a LOT of faves within Arc V (arc v was actually the beginning of my multishipping tendencies, before this I was a strict single-ship-per-character type), but for the purposes of time and space I will talk only about my “starter pack” as I like to call it lol. Tho, if you would like to hear my thoughts on any other Arc V ship, please don’t hesitate to drop into my askbox! I love to talk about this >w<
Escapeshipping (Asuka/Osiris Red Girl)
One half of the ship may not even have an actual name, but that doesn’t stop me from being in love with this little rarepair. I’ve always liked the idea of bi Asuka, but before Arc V, there really wasn’t a female character I really enjoyed shipping her with. Arc V came to the rescue by giving her a gf (it also gave Crow a bf...Arc V said gay rights). Even though all we get of them is one flashback, it’s pretty clear that the two of them were close, close enough for the Osiris girl to confide in Asuka her treasonous thoughts and to want to save Asuka by bringing her along in her escape rather than simply escaping on her own. And it’s the Osiris girl’s sacrifice that drives Asuka to be as much of a rebel against Academia that she is. That’s the set up for a powerful tragic love story right there, and we only had half an episode -- that’s pretty epic imo.
Chaperoneshipping (Gongenzaka/Sawatari)
I named this rarepair, so it has a special place in my heart lol. I just think it’s probably one of the funniest, and yet sweetest ships I’ve got for Arc V. The two of them are pretty much diametric opposites -- Sawatari never stops moving or talking and is super full of himself, while Gongenzaka is based on standing completely still and has a pretty healthy understanding of himself and his limits. Every single interaction they had was gold, as the two of them have such different ideals and beliefs, but they play off of each other so well. They’re literally the tol gay + smol gay and I love them and their banter a lot -- plus, I legitimately think that the two of them are pretty good for each other. Gongenzaka can help ground Sawatari but also take care of him when his inevitable loss of confidence spirals back again, and Sawatari can put an exasperated smile on Gongenzaka’s face and help him loosen up here and there.
rest are under the cut so this doesn’t get TOO long lol
Darkrebelshipping (Shun/Yuto)
This is one I haven’t actually paid as much attention to lately, but I still do really enjoy it! It’s a little cliche, but I just find their relationship pretty interesting. It’s clear that they’re close friends who trust each other, but there’s also a lot of friction between them because they have such fundamentally different value systems. They both want the same things, but what they’re willing to do to achieve those things is very different, and seeing how that effects the two of them in different situations is very interesting to me. Plus, I just kind of love how they both look like they would go to Hot Topic together lol.
Moonblossomshipping (Ruri/Selena)
Am I using my own screenshot edit for these two? Yes, yes I am, because despite my deep and abiding love for this ship, they never officially got to interact while not possessed lol.
As the above mentioned lack of interaction notes, this ship is mostly in my head, but I think it has a lot of interesting potential as a dynamic. Ruri and Selena may be parts of the same person, but they have some unique differences that make their potential relationship intriguing. Selena is a very headstrong person who rarely thinks before she acts, acting on an innate sense of justice that may be skewed because she rarely takes the time to closely examine where that image of justice is coming from. She’s an angry and impulsive person determined to prove herself, and yet she’s also very disciplined in other places. Ruri, on the other hand, comes from a much softer world, and from what we’ve seen of her, she also has a strong sense of justice -- though her views on it come from a place of sympathy/empathy and a desire for compassion towards others, rather than Selena’s warrior-like take on making justice happen. That softness + Selena’s sharpness makes for a great contrast, and the fact that their two worlds are pretty much perfectly opposed in the struggle in canon also sets up for some great star-crossed lovers shit which I’m ALWAYS into.
And outside of that? They just are....so pretty. They have the best aesthetic together. I was shipping them somehow before Ruri was even revealed, I am here for the long haul.
Duskshipping (Dennis/Yuuri)
Here’s another ship that gave me less than half an episode of content and made me go absolutely wild over it. Yuuri and Dennis may have only interacted for a few moments and only twice overall, but there’s something about those moments that still captivates me. The whole concept of Yuuri being this terrifying force that people run to the side of the hall to avoid, even as a child, but then being met by a laid-back, cheerful greeting from Dennis, fascinates me. Dennis isn’t scared of Yuuri at all, in fact, he seems to find Yuuri amusing to some degree. He’s the only character in the entire show who hasn’t immediately viewed Yuuri as some terrifying monster. Part of that may be simply due to Dennis’s cheerful + semi suicidal personality, but I think there might be a little more to it than that, especially since Yuuri doesn’t seem at all annoyed at Dennis’s lack of respect. There’s this sense of relaxation to their interactions, as though they’re used to hanging out, as though they’re comfortable with each other. For people like the two of them -- Dennis, with his self-loathing covered up by a mask of cheer, and Yuuri, with his monstrous, malicious glee towards destruction, that unspoken comfort with anyone, much less people so different from each other, feels very important.
Stealthshipping (Sora/Tsukikage)
This one hit me like a frieght train all at once. For most of my favorite Arc V ships, I got the sense that I would like them early on into their character introductions. Basically from the moment I saw most of them, their first interaction or even their first introduction alone, I had the feeling I was going to love them as a ship. These two? I had no idea I was going to make THIS my favorite ship for the two of them...and honestly, my only romantic ship for either of them. And like, why would I have? Their first interaction is where Sora kills Tsukikage’s brother. Angsty, to be sure, but I barely thought they’d even meet again.
When they did, however, and how it all played out after that, I was smitten. Two soldiers who met on opposite sides of the conflict, who had every reason to hate each other, and every reason to destroy each other, who found themselves slowly, slowly putting that unease aside for the common goal ahead of them, until they became a team to be reckoned with. Sora apologizing for what he did to Tsukikage’s brother and even offering to atone any way Tsukikage wanted as long as he could save Yuzu and Yuya first, Tsukikage putting down his grudge “just for now,” slowly becoming the two of them coming to each other’s aid and fighting like a team? It was so powerful. I definitely need to create more content for the two of them.
Genesishipping (Ray/Zarc)
Let’s be honest, we all ship this one a little bit. They’re the penultimate tragic, antagonistic couple, even if they probably never actually met in the past. They’re perfectly opposed forces, creation and destruction, and Ray is more than willing to come back over and over again to fight Zarc, while Zarc builds pretty much his entire self around being able to defeat Ray again. Plus, considering all of the bonds between their counterparts? It’s obvious that in another life, these two would have been friends, or even lovers, which just makes their actual first meeting all the more tragic. They have a wealth of possibilities to explore, and it’s one of the most popular ships in the fandom for a reason.
Appleshipping (Rin/Yugo)
otherwise known as THE CUTEST OTP....I don’t know what to say about Apple that I or others haven’t said before. They are such a power couple. They’re so sweet and wholesome, but they’re also inherently kind of tragic. They grew up in a world that didn’t want them to survive, but they did. Yugo’s pure love for Rin, and Rin’s motherly nagging, probably out of fear that Yugo’s happy nature might end up with him getting hurt in this awful world they live in, hiding her own deep love for him back, is just such a sweet, beautiful combination. The way they constantly work together and constantly think of each other is just so sweet and lovely, and I love them a lot.
Lustershipping (Yuzu/Masumi)
The ORIGINAL Arc V gays, the one I shipped before I even started watching the damn show. Shallow bit out of the way first, but they’re a pink/blue ship, and their color schemes together are GORGEOUS, which is my weakness.
Past that, though, this is the first pair of significant f/f rivals we’ve gotten in YGO to my knowledge, and I’ve found lately that I’ve become something of a sucker for some brands of rival pairs. They’re antagonistic, but it drives them both to be better, and they shit-talk each other, which is great to see with an f/f rival pair, but they end up being super respectful and even grateful to each other for pushing them to get better and better. And if you don’t think Masumi’s got a crush on Yuzu at the very least, I don’t know what to tell you lol. She gave the girl a ROSE.
I’d love to play with their continuing relationship more with the pair of them as rivals who eventually become friends before they know it, and then perhaps something more :)
Pendulumshipping (Yuya/Reiji)
And here we are. You all knew it was coming if you’ve been here for longer than 10 minutes, lol. Yuya/Reiji was my fave from the beginning, and it only grew and grew and grew until it became my most important and favorite OTP of everything I’ve ever shipped.
I’ve told the story a million times, but I first began shipping them when Reiji imagined he was dueling Yuya while testing his pendulum cards. What kind of a person do you have to be to move someone as immovable as Reiji, who’s spent his entire life making himself strong and unaffected for the task ahead? What kind of person do you have to be to stick in Reiji’s mind like that? And for a while, it felt very one-sided to me, though I played around with the idea of Yuya eventually returning those feelings -- still, back then, I felt almost guilty about the ship because more than one person called it potentially abusive, and I could see where they were coming from -- canon at that point had shown them as antagonists towards each other after all. And then canon kept trucking along and showed me that it wasn’t just that at all -- a seed of trust was starting to blossom between the two of them. The moment that Yuya called out Reiji’s name by his first name out of concern to see him trapped with the Council, that’s when I realized they absolutely did both have some level of trust in and care for each other. And when Yuya shouted out his trust in Reiji despite Roget’s revelation about Reiji’s father, proving that he did trust Reiji and his judgement after all, and when their tag duel arrived, and Reiji decided he would throw in with Yuya all the way, that he would stand behind him and believe in him til the end and the two of them fought together, that was it. It’s place as my favorite OTP was sealed.
There’s just something so soft and gentle about them, despite their beginnings. They don’t have the same antagonistic air to them that most main ygo protag/rival pairs have to time. Despite their beginnings, they were always on the same side, and it was never about trying to one up the other, even at their last battle -- it was always about working together for a common goal, and making the other better. And I just really, really love that.

Link into the V R A I N S
*applauds* excellent use of letters. well done.
(FOR THIS ASK IN CASE ANYONE ELSE WANTS TO SEND LETTERS LMAO)
V - Are you one of those fans who can’t watch anything without shipping?
Um.... absolutely not lmao. I have so many shows I’ve watched where I literally shipped nobody. Tho this is more of a recent thing ‘cause I used to ship anything and everything back in the day... Not quite sure what happened, but I definitely noticed this lack of interest in shipping started with Arc V. Like yeah, I shipped the Fruits, my Appleshipping kids, and YutoxRuri but that was the extent. None of the more non-conventional ships like I used to have lists of.
Speaking of non conventional ships....
R - A pairing you ship that you don’t think anyone else ships
It’s not that I don’t think anyone else ships it.... It’s that I know nobody else except maybe like five people lmaaaaaaaaao.
Anyway, Crow-sama x Stephanie is a very high-quality ship thank u very much.
A - Your current OTP
Datastorm for sure. Also slowly going back into Firebird hell. Will I ever make more content for it? stay tuned.
I - Has tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why?
The real question here is.... when has it not?
Free! was the first big fandom I was completely turned off by thanks to tumblr, so basically, if I ever watch Free!, assume that the end of the world is coming. The problem wasn’t that it was everywhere, but like.... the fans refused to tag their content and after a while, every time I saw a cap of it would make me irrationally angry.
Also, this was def before I saw the light and finally decided ZeXal’s actually a super good YGO series, but, good God.... The ZeXal fandom circa 2011-2013 was just so damn frustrating. Like, sure, I acknowledge the series is good now, but the way the tumblr fandom in particular acted to the slightest criticism of ZeXal was just. Cringe. So much cringe.
Then, there’s the Steven Universe fandom. Again, with Free!, if I ever watch that show, assume the end is coming. The concept of the show is cool and all, but the way the fandom talks about it as a whole makes me so tired and drains any interest I had in the show. If any.
And of course, we can’t forget the fandom that made me hate fandoms altogether: THE ARC V FANDOM!!!
Don’t get me wrong. I’ve made some super good friends in the fandom (and shout out to the folks who checked up on me after Arc V 120. y’all the true mvps). And I’m aware what happened with the Arc V fandom was basically a disaster 20-some years in the making.
But like.... I try not to regret things, but I definitely regret being in that fandom. Just no decency, no respect for differing theories, no sense of inclusion. You either thought one way or you were an outcast. No in-between.
So yeah.

Appleshipping Wedding Fic + Time Travel?
Ooooooooo let’s see what I can come up with.
If anybody asked Yugo if he was ready his immediate answer would be ‘Yes’. However his own body did not appear to agree as he could still feel as if butterflies were fluttering in his stomach and sometimes when speaking he would pause between sentences as if taking into consideration each of his guests concerns.
“Don’t treat her rough.” Ruri said.
“Oh I won’t...HEY what’s that supposed to mean?” Yugo snapped at her. Ruri just giggled at Yugo’s response.
“Oh you’ll find out.” Ruri remarked coyly. Yugo growled as Yuto gave him a sympathetic smile. They had both gotten married last fall with Yugo and Rin attending their wedding.
“It’s about time you two tied the knot.” Yuto commented. Yugo blushed and crossed his arms as he looked to the side. A sting of red on his cheeks.
“It’s not like we knew this would happen.” Yugo grunted feeling embarrassed. Ruri raised her right hand to her mouth to cover her giggle.
“How is the Bride feeling?” Ruri asked. Yugo lowered his arms and grinned.
“She’s glad that you guys decided to come.” Yugo said.
“Prepping herself up for the wedding?” Ruri asked. Yugo groaned.
“Yeah, she’s a little fussy about the dress.” Yugo said.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
‘What’s missing?’ Rin thought as she looked at herself in the mirror. She already had her dress on and the gown was hanging on the chair. She normally did not care for trivial things like make-up or a bouquet, or even this dress but she wanted it to be memorable enough so that when Yugo and her looked back they could remember this. She was positive she was making the right choice with Yugo. That he wouldn’t betray her in the future as they both knew each other for a long period of time. But... was this it? Marriage was considered the last stage of life but Rin would have to disagree for if that were true then how come people would get divorced and remarry.
Rin shivered as she dreaded the thought.
“He won’t leave you.” Rin affirmed. Yugo was not the type of man that would back out of something.
If her future self saw her now would she consider her naive for her action. Rin knew she had the option of divorcing if things got out of hand but was she sure she wanted a life with Yugo?
“Thang.” Rin heard the sound of a bell and looked around but she saw no bell. Her current marriage wasn’t even in a church but outside near the beach.
“Was that...?” Rin said alert to any sound she could hear. She glanced around but there was no bell in the floor nor the desk. Rin sighed as she went to turn back to her reflection in the mirror. She noticed from the reflection a gap of light on her left.
‘What?’ It was odd as it was just floating there. The gap suddenly appeared larger and Ran turned her head back sensing the light.
“RIN!” Rin heard a masculine voice yell from behind her. A man passing through the gap as he dashed and went to her. Rin became alarmed as the man grabbed her into a tight hug.
“You’re here.” The man said in relief. Ran struggles to get out of his strong grip.
“What are you..” Ran started as she flailed. The man pulled her away and Rin gasped.
“Yugo?!” Rin screamed. The man looked away as if suddenly realizing a mistake he’d made.
“Yeah.” ‘Yugo’ responded rather bashfully. He appeared to be a few inches taller than Rin remembered. ‘Yugo’ turned to back to look at her and grinned.
“It’s...” ‘Yugo’ started and Ran gave him a tap on the head.
“Now we’re going to have bad luck in our marriage.” Rin yelled. ‘Yugo’s’ eyes widened and he suddenly frowned.
“Chose the wrong date to go back to.” ‘Yugo’ said. Rin raised an eyebrow at that and ‘Yugo’ huffed.
“What do you mean date?” Rin asked. ‘Yugo’ flinched.
“Did I say date? I meant I was looking for dates. You know those fruits that are supposedly healthy and all.” ‘Yugo’ rambled.
“Yugo what are you doing here? What was that light show? And since when have you gotten this buff? Why aren’t you in your suit?” Rin chided him. Yugo groaned.
“I just wanted to see my wife since she... you... GAH! I just came to give you a hug is all.” ‘Yugo’ shrugged with his hands raised beside him. Ran crossed her arms.
“You can do that after the wedding. You’ll have plenty of time.” Ran muttered. ‘Yugo’ looked down on the floor.
“Right...” ‘Yugo’ said. Rin noticed his hurt look and was going to question it when he looked back at her.
“Why did you decide to put on make-up?” ‘Yugo’ questioned. Rin crossed her hands.
“I just wanted this to be a special day ‘Yugo’. People like to make certain special occasions memorable.” Rin answered. ‘Yugo’ looked down.
“Yeah... memorable.” Yugo said. Rin noticed that ‘Yugo’ seemed upset.
“Are you having second thoughts?” Rin asked. ‘Yugo’ became shocked before he turned to her with serious eyes.
“No! Out of all the decisions I have made in my life I will never regret you!” ‘Yugo’ shouted. Rin became surprised by his words.
“I should have listened about your concerns with the bike when we were teens. I’m messy and a slob sometimes...I know that dang it!” ‘Yugo’ said as he clenched a fist with his right hand.
“But... you knew this happened. You knew all along what might happen to you and you just decided to be hush hush about it. I’M YOUR HUSBAND FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! You should tell me these things when they happen!” ‘Yugo’ yelled. Ran looked at him confused.
“What happened?” Rin asked. ‘Yugo’ looked at her with a frown.
“Even if I don’t tell you your smart enough to piece the dots together. You always were the planner.” ‘Yugo’ said disheartened. Rin looked at him confused before he moved to the door.
“I’m going to prep for the wedding.” ‘Yugo’ said as he excited the room leaving a confused Rin behind.
A.N. This got way too long and might be the start of a long fic. Maybe?

hi sai! I realized you did thoughts on stuff and i may be missed out but im new, so what are your thoughts on the arc v ending? storyline, character progression, ship and all?
hey there it’s okay!! sorry for the late response!
arc v ending: i liked the ending! for various reasons. in general, i just already love bittersweet endings so points already there for that. i also tend to be very canon-accepting; even when i don’t like where canon went in a story, i don’t usually fight it. if i don’t like the canon, i don’t tend to try to rewrite it: i just accept it and move on. by default my brain likes working with what’s presented as fact and building on it further rather than “modifying facts”. i mention this because the types of canon that frustrate me are stories that pull some kind of deus ex machina or magical/sudden inexplicable cure-all solution that reverses things back to what they once were or ones that progress with very little or flawed logic. for the world and story foundation that arc v established, the ending works pretty damn well! it’s not perfect— i would have preferred it to have had a longer epilogue and/or go a bit more into depth with some of the character’s situations, but overall i was satisfied! the ending was a bittersweet but logical conclusion to story and did not undermine the losses that were incurred throughout it. am i sad about the counterparts not having their own bodies back? fuck yeah tbh... but at the same time i accept this as a consequence of events of the story. be these characters innocent or not ultimately doesn’t matter because war doesn’t discriminate casualties. besides that, the ending message was one of hope— no matter what happens, your loved ones are always with you and you can find a reason to smile for them and for yourself. lastly, it properly addressed themes of redemption, revenge, loss, grief, recovery, and coping throughout its last few episodes especially. again, it wasn’t exactly perfect but i do hold it as an ending that i liked and that i thought was good for its particular build up and story.
storyline: well this is my favorite yugioh and one of my absolute favorite stories overall to date. it had its flaws (mainly one of the most glaring flaws is how short the XYZ arc was), but again overall fucking wonderfully put together. idk what much else to say except that now that i think about it, before watching, i usually wouldn’t have ever cared much about the concept of “entertainment” dueling (i remember seeing previews and not really caring much) but this show really showed us more than just the superficial side of showy, flashy duels (which is what i was mainly expecting when it was first announced). tbqh, it far exceeded my expectations and i appreciate the plot and progression so much, especially the foreshadowing and...
character progression: excellent. fucking. excellent. yuya’s development especially. my god, idk where to even begin. it’s just really fucking good. i remember i tweeted something about it a bit after the show ended...
i still feel the same way and i honestly believe most of the actively developing characters throughout the show ended up in a similar fashion. what’s most noticeable is how much they changed. yuya isn’t a self-depreciating clown hiding behind his goggles anymore; he has the courage to surpass his own faults and work through them to better himself. sora realized the true worth of his friends and how cruel him and his people’s actions truly were. shun found a way to accept the loss in his life and realized that revenge isn’t going to help him recover, etc. these are just a few examples. overall, fucking fantastic character development all to the end.
ship(s): well my favorite ship is fruitshipping (HARDCORE I WILL GO DOWN WITH THIS SHIP), and my other favorite ships just behind it are zarcray, predatorshipping, appleshipping, fallengangelshipping, and boy do i love me some hostageshipping, among others. tons of others. i multiship in this fandom too, though like i said before when i talked about the ending, my brain tends to be very canon-leaning, meaning i ship things the hardest when i see the most canon support for them. i know some people find this tendency of mine to be uncreative, but just in general that’s how i’ve always been. thankfully, though, i also have many wonderful friends who’ve helped me see other relationship dynamics through their perspectives, and i’m always open to interpreting different ships in various ways, which is always fun. i do have few notps but eh i dont think they’re worth mentioning because i don’t really hate them, i just can’t personally get behind them seriously.

Title: After Arc V Info: Short scenes of the counterparts after the disaster they went through. Note: This is my farewell to Arc V. Kind of last minute, so not too much, but enough for me to have something done. Kind of shippy.
Predatorshipping (kind of not really)
After their return to their own dimension, the fusion dimension, Yuri continued to duel with the students at Academia. He enjoyed winning against each one of them, but the urge to card them disappeared. Remnants of his old personality to win remained, but that dangerous and malicious part of Zarc that he carried was taken away the moment his evil soul was removed from his body.
“Ha! Another win for me,” Yuri said, turning off his duel disk. “Jacket!” Sora handed his blue jacket, breaking his lollipop between his teeth. Yuri grinned squeezing the jacket.
Academia was having their very first tournament. Every single student on the premises had to participate and the winner of each duel had to take the student’s jacket. The ones who lost had to move to a specific dorm and stay there until the end of the tournament.
Sora walked away, throwing the stick of the lollipop behind him.
Yuri sat down instead of looking for challengers, he waited for them to show up. Soon enough, a female duelist with blue hair came into view, but he didn’t move. Her eyes landed on him and he watched with intensity.
“Not yet,” Yuri said. “Serena. I want you to be the last.”
Appleshipping
“Come on! Come on!” Yugo said, trying to get the d-wheel to start.
“We should take a break,” Rin suggested. “We’ve been trying-”
“No, I’m going to make our d-wheel work,” Yugo said, determined. He wiped off sweat from the top of his forehead.
The d-wheel wasn’t close to being as functional as it used to be. The vehicle couldn’t even activate the duel disk. Yugo leaned his head against the bike, looking at Rin. She gave him a stern look and he knew better. He stood up and left the d-wheel behind for today.
Yugo grabbed something to eat before heading to bed since he didn’t eat all day. His mind was on the bike as lied in bed. Even though Rin broke what they worked hard on, he could never blame her and wanted to fix it for her. For them.
Rin tiptoed toward Yugo’s room. She sneaked a peek of him and caught him sleeping. “Yes,” she whispered to herself. Her footsteps couldn’t be heard as she made her way toward their bike. Rin began to work on it by itself, hoping to get it fixed for Yugo after what had happened. She worked hard all night for him. For them.
“Rin!” Yugo shouted when he saw her sleeping against their d-wheel.
“Yugo.” She slowly opened up, rubbing her eyes. When Rin realized where she was, she grabbed Yugo’s arm. “Try it!” she said, excited.
For a moment, Yugo was confused then figured she meant their bike. She let go of his arm and moved away, clapping her hands together. The first thing Yugo did was activate the duel disk, which finally turned on. He glanced over at Rin, who couldn’t contain her happiness.
Before Yugo could try to start it, Rin sat in the back, grabbing her helmet. “But Rin…”
“Just go, Yugo!” And soon after they were off on the streets again with their d-wheel.
Fallenangelshipping
“Yuto,” Ruri whispered, grabbing his arm. He stood still, waiting for her to continue. “Stay for a second.”
“I can’t. We have to stay on schedule,” he replied.
“Okay, at least let me help.”
Ruri, Yuto, Shun, and Kaito were helping rebuild parts of Heartland along with other XYZ duelists. Shun wasn’t letting Ruri help with the building and repairing part. She was running around handing the group items they needed.
“You are helping.” Yuto kissed her forehead, “I’ll see you later for our date.”
As Yuto moved away from her to continue working a scream escaped Shun. Everyone turned in his direction. He was holding his hand, angry and in pain.
Ruri ran to him quickly with an ice pack. “Are you okay?! You should be more careful, brother.”
“Mhm,” Kaito mumbled, walking away while drinking from his water bottle. He tried to keep his composure, acting like it wasn’t his fault.
Shun couldn’t answer, holding the ice pack against his wounded hand. Ruri could hear Yuto and Kaito chuckling behind them. “Maybe you should be trying to finish up,” she said, mostly to Yuto.
After repairing some damages, Yuto grabbed Ruri’s hand. “I’m all yours,” he said. They stopped in front of the ice scream shop. Luckily, some places only had minor repairs and were up and running fast.
Yuto and Ruri bought one big sundae for the both of them. They sat down and started eating, glad they were able to spend some time together after the disaster they went through. Every moment they were together meant so much. Ruri smiled as she watched Yuto enjoy the sundae.
Fruitshipping
He felt the breeze against his skin as he sat on the grass, watching the water below. His mind would linger to the events that almost destroyed the world, but he learned to accept that he was Zarc. He knew that no matter what, he wasn’t as evil as it seemed. But he couldn’t forget.
His eyes traveled to his pendulum, grabbing it, and bringing it in front of his face. He stared at it, wondering how his counterparts were holding up. Now that there were portals, he could easily visit them. Visit any one of his friends from any dimension.
“Yuya!” Yuzu shouted from atop. “There you are!”
Yuya was swinging the pendulum and Yuzu grabbed it, waiting for him to look at her. Just as she hoped, he did, smiling when he saw her. “Sorry,” he said. “I didn’t mean to worry you.”
Yuzu let go of his pendant and sat next to him. She watched as Yuya lied down on the grass and followed. He placed his hand on top of hers and smiled. Yuya was glad that he had Yuzu and always will. She meant so much to him.
“Thank you for always being there for me, Yuzu.”
He looked up at the sky and saw something sparkle, before it completed faded. Yuya believed it to be hope for everyone’s future.
Zarcray
“Zarc, it’s time,” Ray said from above.
He didn’t turn to look at her yet, he wanted to enjoy this. Each of his fragments were living a happy life and he needed time to absorb every moment of it. Zarc may not have had the life he truly wanted, but he was glad that there was a second chance for all of him.
“Don’t you want to watch?” Zarc asked Ray.
Ray flew down lower, floating next to Zarc. She could not deny that watching their fragments and seeing them smile meant everything to her. A few more minutes couldn’t hurt.
They watched Zarc’s main fragment talk to Ray’s standard fragment. First she seemed angry at the boy, but after he spoke to her, she couldn’t help but smile at him. They relaxed and started to talk and laugh, enjoying each other’s company.
Zarc and Ray looked at each and smiled. “Okay, now I’m ready.” He took Ray’s hand and she guided him up toward the clouds. He could feel warmth falling upon him, making him smile and accept peace. Both of them started glowing a golden color.
They saw a flash of all their counterparts living their lives. Then their original dimension appeared before their eyes. Every single moment that brought joy to Zarc was shown to him.
Then came only peace.
Now let the healing start.
#i was going to post this arc v night but you know#anyway thank you arc v#very last minute so no editing like i wrote this before the new episode aired#i hope you enjoy it#arc v#bleh idk#im always hesitant about posting my writing

Beauty and the Beast: an AppleShipping Fairytale
Based on the Fairytale AU by @justanotherotakuandartist.
Once upon a time, in the kingdom of Neudonia, there lived a lovely maiden named Rin Hogan. She lived in Neudonia’s commoners area with her older brother Crow Hogan, who was well-known as the best horseback wizard among the commoners. And Rin wished to follow in his footsteps.
But everyone in the commoners area thought Rin was rather odd, for she was dressed in her brother’s old clothing and she was fascinated with an activity that was normally done by men. It didn’t help that her mint green hair was cut in a short bob style that framed her face. But Rin didn’t care, for her mind was currently focused on the yearly Friendship Goblet that was approaching in a few weeks.
Ah, yes. The Friendship Goblet. It was a glorious wizards event in Neudonia, which was established by King Jack Atlas. Once a year, wizards among both the elite and commoners would take part in horseback magic battles, with the winner having the honor of challenging the king himself.
Crow would have taken part in the tournament as usual, but due to him unfortunately getting in a horseback magic battle that greatly injured his back, Rin decided to take his place. However, while the girl wasn’t an expert on summoning creatures and casting magical spells, she had the unusual ability to control the wind through the power of pure energy, which she channeled using the foreign art of tai-chi. But she had learned to use her ability to summon creatures she has nicknamed ‘Windwitches’. She learned to control this power through the help of local freedom fighter Shinji Weber, who also gave her a strong, pure-white mare so she could participate in the Friendship Goblet.
One day, after visiting Shinji’s place for her usual magic training, Rin came across an adult man wearing strange clothing. “Can I help you?” she asked.
“I see you are trying to be a horseback wizard,” the man said. “That sport is very dangerous for a girl like you.”
“That’s why I’m training to get better,” Rin explained. “My brother is counting on me to win the Friendship Goblet for the both of us. It’s our way towards a better life.”
“This ‘brother’ you speak of is wrong,” the man said, gently placing his hand on Rin’s shoulder. “You should not take part in such a dangerous tournament. You are better off in my care.”
Offended and baffled, Rin stepped back from the man’s grasp. “Look, I don’t even know you,” she said. “And I don’t care what you say. I will participate in the Friendship Goblet!”
After that little skirmish, Rin was able to return back home, where she explained what had happened. “I see,” Crow said. “So this man thinks he can walk up to you and ask you to live with him? That doesn’t seem right.”
“I know!” Rin agreed. “He must be from another kingdom, because the Friendship Goblet is important for both of us.”
“Indeed,” Crow replied. “It’s our ticket out of the slums and into a better life. I thank you for taking my spot.”
“Of course,” Rin said with a smile. “You are not well to take part in the Friendship Goblet this year. My win will benefit us both.”
“So how is your training with Shinji coming along?” Crow asked.
“Very well,” Rin answered. “I have finally learned to summon a tuner. Now I can tune summon like you can!”
“How wonderful!” Crow said. “I must see your progress.”
As Rin used her magical ability to perform a successful tune summon, a creature witnessed the two siblings from outside their home. The creature looked humanoid, but he was clearly not human at all. The creature seemed drawn to Rin, almost as if he was attracted to her…
That night, Rin was awoken by a loud crash. Concerned about an intruder, she slowly approached the kitchen. Once she was in the kitchen, the green-haired maiden proceeded to light a nearby candle. She gasped, realizing a person wearing a dark blue hooded robe had broke in.
The person looked over at Rin. “Don’t be alarmed,” he said, approaching her. “I just want to-”
Rin slammed her knee into the person’s stomach, causing him to fall over. Crow had ran into the kitchen. “Are you alright?!” he asked.
“Of course,” Rin answered. “But it seems someone has broke into our house.”
The person slowly got back on his feet. “I must admit, you are rather strong,” he said. “But you must let me stay with you. I have been living a poor life for ten years.”
“Just about everyone here lives a poor life,” Crow pointed out.
“Who are you, anyway?!” Rin demanded.
“Yugo,” the person answered.
Rin was confused. “You want us to go somewhere?”
The person let out a frustrated sound. “Yugo’s my name,” he explained. “And I really wish to live with you.”
“Oh no,” Crow said. “We’re not dumb to let that happen again. Do you even know how many times people asked for hospitality, only for us to later realize they were spies working for the Neudonia Royal For-”
Crow was cut off when Yugo had took off his robe, revealing a rather monstrous form. His whole body was covered in thick white scales with sparkly green crystals on his arms. Light blue spikes came out from his head, one on either side of his face and one on his forehead. He also had a long black-striped tail, yellow eyes with slitted pupils, small fangs for teeth, and dark blue hair with blonde bangs that resembled bananas.
“Do I look like someone who would work for the Neudonia Royal Force?” Yugo asked.
While Crow was absolutely speechless, Rin let out a small gasp. “What happened to you?” she asked.
“I was only four years old when it happened,” Yugo explained, sounding a bit sad. “I used to live in the kingdom’s orphanage with other orphans under the gentle care of the great Headmistress. Things were going great for me, but one rainy night changed everything.
“I was sleeping peacefully when I felt a sharp jab in my heart, almost as if I was stabbed there. I don’t remember what else happened, but the next thing I knew, I had transformed into this hideous creature and everyone in the orphanage had apparently died.”
Yugo lifted his scaly hand. “I remember seeing fresh blood on my hands that night. I came to the conclusion that I was responsible for this bloodshed.” He clenched his hand and closed his tear-brimming eyes. “It wasn’t long before rumors spread throughout the kingdom. People have called me the Beast of Neudonia. They dare not approach the orphanage because of me.”
“So why have you come here?” Rin asked.
Yugo opened his eyes and looked at the maiden. “Because I was drawn to you,” he answered. “I feel that I must stay with you in order to prevent any more bloodshed.”
“Crow?” Rin asked.
“I think I remember that night,” Crow recalled. “We had left the orphanage earlier that day after I realized adoption meant the possibility of us separating. The sudden rainstorm was unexpected because the town squire did not predict it.”
“And you feel that my presence helps you?” Rin asked Yugo.
“Indeed,” Yugo answered, approaching the maiden and gently touching her face. “That’s why I feel that I must live with you.”
Rin was oddly drawn towards the gentle touch, placing her hand over Yugo’s. “I appreciate it, but I fear that you might cause an outcry,” she said.
“Then why don’t you live with him?” Crow suggested.
“What?!” Rin exclaimed. “But what about the Friendship Goblet?!”
“The Friendship Goblet…” Yugo said. “You are participating in it, correct?”
“Indeed,” Rin answered. “It’s the only way my brother and I can escape this life of poverty.”
“Let me train you,” Yugo said. “I, too, admire King Jack Atlas, and I have wished to participate in the Friendship Goblet for years. I also know tune summoning, so maybe I can give you some pointers.”
Rin looked a bit unsure, but Crow assuringly placed his hand on her shoulder. “Don’t worry, sis,” he said. “The Friendship Goblet is in a few weeks. And if Yugo really is good at tune summoning, he can help you out.”
The green-haired maiden took a deep breath. “Very well,” she told Yugo. “I’ll live with you, but only until the Friendship Goblet.”
“Deal,” Yugo agreed.
And so, Yugo had escorted Rin over to the abandoned orphanage. It was still in good health, but it was clear that it was starting to deteriorate. “The rooms are still in good condition,” Yugo explained, dropping his robe onto the floor in what appeared to be his room. “You can stay in whichever room you like.”
“But what about the tune summon lessons?” Rin asked.
“We’ll start first thing tomorrow morning,” Yugo answered. “For now, we need to get some rest. Wizards should never take part in battle with a sleep-deprived mind.”
Nodding in understanding, Rin went over to another room, one that looked the cleanest. She let out a sigh, knowing that if she continued her training, she would no longer have to live among the commoners.
The next day, Yugo brought Rin over to what appeared to be a horseback wizards training room. “Before you take part in a horseback magic battle, you must know the rules,” Yugo explained. “They’re like regular magic battles, but with a few rule exceptions.”
“I know,” Rin said, petting her mare. “That’s why Shinji gave me Crystal Belle. Horseback magic battles require great multitasking with both riding a horse and using magic at the same time.”
“There’s more than that,” Yugo explained. “As soon as a horseback magic battle is declared, a speed charm is casted in the arena, prohibiting the battling wizards from using normal spells and allowing the horses to run without getting tired. Additionally, whoever makes the first turn depends on whether or not their horse is fast enough to take the lead as soon as the battle begins.”
“I understand,” Rin said.
“Before we can continue, I need to see how you summon creatures,” Yugo said.
“Very well,” Rin said. She proceeded to do some tai chi, syncing her magical energy with her summoning magic. And in a gust of wind, a spellcaster riding a bell appeared. She did the same thing to summon another spellcaster riding a bell, one that was smaller. And in a flash of light, the smaller spellcaster proceeded to circle around the larger spellcaster, until the two merged into a crystal-like spellcaster.
Yugo was surprised. “I have never seen a wizard cast magic without words,” he commented.
“It’s because of my magical ability,” Rin explained. “I can control wind using pure energy, and I have learned to channel that power using basic magic. It allows me to summon creatures, like this Windwitch known as Winter Bell.”
“Not bad,” Yugo said. “I can summon creatures too, but my summoning techniques are a little different.” He snapped his fingers, summoning a snake made of red tops and a blue pyramid die with a red eye. The die proceeded to circle around the top-snake. “Now watch as Tri-Eyed Dice tunes Terrortop, allowing me to tune summon my trusted Kendama!”
Rin was amazed by Kendama. “How wonderful!” she exclaimed.
Yugo smirked. “That’s just one of my tune creatures,” he said. “You need to create more of them if you want to win.”
Rin looked a bit embarrassed. “But Winter Bell is the only one I have been able to tune summon.”
“That’s why you’ve got me,” Yugo said. “But basic talk won’t work. Let’s practice.”
“I don’t see your horse,” Rin pointed out.
Suddenly, sparkly green crystal-like wings materialized on Yugo’s back. “Why should I get a horse when I already have wings?” he asked in response.
“Not bad,” Rin said, climbing up to ride on Crystal Belle’s back. “But I bet my horse is faster.”
“Oh, we’ll see,” Yugo replied.
And so, Yugo and Rin proceeded to practice. As the days passed, Rin’s magical powers became stronger. She had even learned how to tune summon other Windwitches of her own creation. Hopefully her magic would become strong enough to defeat King Jack Atlas.
Ultimately the day of the Friendship Goblet came. Rin was all set to go, but Yugo halted her. “What is it?” she asked.
“Another key element with magic battle tournaments is appearances,” Yugo explained. “You need to make sure the crowd favors you, and I don’t think you can do that wearing those old rags.”
“These were my brother’s old clothes,” Rin explained. “We couldn’t afford outfits for myself, so we had to improvise.”
Yugo proceeded to lead Rin into another room in the orphanage. “There’s a chest of costumes in this room,” he said. “Feel free to take any outfit you like.”
“Very well,” Rin said, stepping into the room. Yugo closed the door to allow her some privacy.
Rin looked at the chest of costumes, amazed with the outfits. But one outfit caught her eye. It was a beautiful sky blue dress with long sleeves and pink bows on the skirt. She never saw an outfit as lovely as this one. She had also found white boots, perfect for horseback magic battles.
After changing into her new outfit, Rin knocked on the door, indicating that she was done. Yugo opened the door, and he was amazed. “Whoa…” he said. “I guess you are cute after all.”
Rin wasn’t sure if she should be flattered by the compliment or offended that he apparently didn’t think she was cute beforehand, but she was blushing madly. “Don’t worry,” Yugo said, not understanding why the maiden was blushing. “You look great and your magic has become stronger. I’m sure you’ll win the Friendship Goblet.”
“Thanks…” Rin said, smiling softly.
Once Yugo put on his robe, he and Rin met up with Crow before the three headed over to the Neudonia magic battle arena. While Yugo and Crow went over to the commoners seats of the arena, Rin headed over to where the other participants were gathered. To no surprise, she was the only girl participating.
With all the participants present, a red-haired woman dressed in red and black and holding a matching parasol walked over to the podium. “Well, howdy everyone!” she said, speaking in an odd, foreign accent. “Welcome to this year’s Friendship Goblet! I’m Melissa Trail, and I will serve as the host of the tournament. I’m sure everyone’s all fired up to win as usual.
“But before we begin, I would like to make an important announcement. As all you common folk know, local participant Crow Hogan was in a rather unfortunate accident. But not to worry. His younger sister has offered to take his place. Now let’s give a warm welcome to Rin Hogan!”
The commoner participants applauded as Rin smiled and waved. She was happy to get such a nice reception. However, the applause was cut short when a blonde man dressed in white took his seat in the highest balcony of the arena. “Goodness!” Melissa exclaimed. “It seems King Jack Atlas has arrived. Your highness, do you wish to say a few words to all the lucky wizards participating?”
“I wish you all the best of luck,” Jack said. “But I must say, a girl among noble men is quite a rare sight. But fear not, Ms. Hogan. The rules of the Friendship Goblet remain the same, especially for you. If you are as mighty as your brother, you should have no trouble keeping up.”
Rin showed no fear as the king spoke. She would not be intimidated by his words, for she was determined to win for her brother.
“Alrighty then!” Melissa said. “Now if y'all can head over to the luxury rooms near the arena, the pairings will be selected. And as y'all know, the Friendship Goblet lasts for a good number of days, so everyone better take this time to practice.”
And so, the participants were escorted to their rooms. To Rin’s amazement, her room was the most luxurious room she had ever seen, especially with an indoor water pump with a magical filter to supply with her fresh water. She wondered if this was what Crow experienced during previous Friendship Goblets.
It wasn’t long before the first battle of the Friendship Goblet was announced. Surprisingly, Rin was facing off against Shinji. Upon arriving in the arena with Crystal Belle, she was greeted by Shinji and his horse Stinger.
“Glad you can make it, Rin,” Shinji said. “I was worried you chickened out when you stopped showing up for your usual training sessions.”
“As if I would chicken out,” Rin replied. “I learned more spells from another mentor.”
“Another mentor?” Shinji asked. “Then let’s see if that new guy really did help you out.”
With the two wizards on their horses, the speed charm was cast on the arena and the race had begun. To Shinji’s surprise, Crystal Belle had quickly outrun Stinger, allowing Rin to go first. Knowing that she needed both hands to guide her horse, Rin simply concentrated her magical energy through thought to successfully tune summon Winter Bell with two Ice Bells and one Snow Bell.
“So you learned to use magic without having to use your hands,” Shinji said. “Not bad.”
“There’s more,” Rin said. “Since I tune summoned Winter Bell using Snow Bell, she’s immune to all special abilities. But since I’m not allowed to attack on the first turn, I shall pass things over to you.”
“Very well,” Shinji said. “Now to see if the apprentice has excelled from the master!”
Things went well for Rin afterwards. After managing to defeat Shinji, she was able to battle day after day, fighting one tough opponent after another. I would describe what had happened in the Friendship Goblet, but alas, this tale is already long enough and the author shall waste no time writing about the more important details.
“Congratulations, Ms. Hogan!” Melissa said. “How does it feel to be the first women to win the Friendship Goblet?”
“I haven’t won yet,” Rin said. “You know there’s one last thing I must do.”
“Ms. Hogan, I think you have done enough,” Melissa said. “We don’t need you to go on and have get injured like what happened to your brother.”
“No,” Rin said. “I participated in the Friendship Goblet so my brother and I can finally live in luxury. I will not accept this win until I have done so!”
“But Ms. Hogan…” Melissa began, but Jack had already stood up.
“That’s quite enough,” the beloved king said. “If Rin Hogan wishes to do battle with me, I accept her challenge. After all, no women should never be excluded for things men are allowed to do.”
“Thank you, your highness,” Rin said.
And so, with Jack in the arena with his horse Red Demon, he and Rin took part in battle. It was fierce, but ultimately Jack had managed to tune summon his Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend with Rin almost about to pass out.
“I must say, Ms. Hogan, you put up quite a fight,” Jack said. “But I never planned to go easy on you. Any final words?”
“Not a single one,” Rin said, still determined to win. She tried to concentrate on summoning any Windwitch to assist her, but it seemed most of them were defeated. What was she supposed to do now-
“You can do it, RinRin!”
Rin was alarmed by that voice. It sounded like Yugo. Glancing back, she realized Crystal Belle had run past him and Crow. Suddenly, a Windwitch resembling a icy blue heart had materialized. It seemed that her newfound connection with Yugo had allowed her to create such a creature.
“What is this?!” Jack asked, alarmed. “You are not allowed to create creatures mid-battle!”
“But it’s still here,” Rin pointed out. “So the Windwitch Heart Bell still counts as an official creature! And I’ll use her to tune with any Windwitches in my graveyard!”
Concentrating her energy on this one tune summon, Rin let Heart Bell circle around the ghostly images of four of her Windwitches. And in a sudden gust of wind, a dragon-like spellcaster wearing a white dress with green crystals had materialized.
Yugo felt something odd in his heart, almost as if the constant stabbing pain he had felt for ten years had vanished. And everyone else among the crowd was amazed by Rin’s creation that they were unaware of the sudden glow coming from the dragon-human’s body.
“My god…” Jack said. “That creature looks just like the Dragon with Clear Wings!”
“Then I guess my newest Windwitch shall be called Clear Bell,” Rin said. “And she can automatically destroy any dragon creature of choice, then she’ll transfer all of its strength into a direct attack!”
Clear Bell raised her green crystal staff and blasted Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend with a magical blast, draining all of his strength before destroying it. She proceeded to use that power to attack the king, causing him to fall off his horse.
With the speed charm wearing off, Crystal Belle came to a stop. Rin got off her mare as she saw everyone cheering for her. She was so happy with what had happened.
Getting back on his feet, Jack approached the green-haired maiden. “That was quite a battle,” he said. “Ms. Hogan, you are clearly deserving of a right among the elite.”
“Not without my brother,” Rin insisted. “I participated in the Friendship Goblet for the both of us.”
“RinRin!”
Yugo proceeded to tackle Rin for a hug as he and Crow approached her. “And my new friend too,” she concluded.
“New friend?” Jack asked. He looked over at Yugo. “Young man, may I see your face?”
But before Yugo could reply, there was a scuffle. Suddenly, the oddly-dressed man Rin had once come across had ran into the arena. “There’s the beast of this kingdom!” he exclaimed, pointing at Yugo. “We must kill him before everyone in this land is brutally murdered!”
But without any hesitation, Yugo lowered the hood of his robe. To Rin’s surprise, all of his dragon features were gone and his eyes were bright blue. “Sorry, but I don’t know what you're talking about,” he said innocently.
“Don’t play dumb with me!” the man exclaimed. “You are the beast of Neudonia!” He took out a knife from his belt. “Now die!”
However, Jack approached the man. “Hello Leo Akaba,” he said, glaring at him. “I wasn’t expecting to meet you like this.”
Leo chuckled. “You must be King Jack Atlas of Neudonia,” he said. “But you know I am far more than a simple man.”
“You don’t deserve to be called by your proper title,” Jack said. “And my allies have informed me of the deeds you have done. Did you really think you would get away with your actions in this kingdom?”
“But of course,” Leo said. “While my past deeds are questionable-”
“You killed an innocent man, imprisoned his daughter, and kidnapped an infant princess!” Jack interrupted.
“Those are just strong words,” Leo said. “Their supposed ‘parents’ were only obstacles. I simply want what is rightfully mine.”
“I’ve heard enough,” Jack said. “Guards, escort this man to the kingdom borders! He must never set foot in Neudonia again!”
But before anyone could respond, Leo had vanished in a flash of purple light. Rin wasn’t sure what had happened. “Your highness…” she said.
“You must not worry about what you have witnessed,” Jack interrupted. “For now, I would suggest celebrating your win. You are the first women to win the Friendship Goblet.”
Life was never the same for Rin after that day. She, Crow, and Yugo had moved from the slums to among the elite. While the scuffle with that Akaba person confused her, she didn’t let it bother her. Because after all those years of living in poverty, she was finally able to live happily ever after with her brother and friend.

ethan thoughts ethan thoughts + jaide dyanmics
so in my version, I see Ethan to be a very soft and gentle kid thanks to Jaide's care for him but he's probably a lot more rational and wiser than Jaide. That's not to say Jaide's dimwitted, but between the two - you can tell Ethan would be strategically smarter in a battle than Jaide would be. They balance each other out. If she's the Catcher, he's the Trainer. That's why Ethan was able to win against Red years ago.
Now this got me wondering how a much older Ethan would do, aka in the time where Appleshipping is happening and all the HGSS events has already transpired. But I first do wanna share a HC team that I think he'd be using:
not gender specific, I don't really mind
a lot of these 'mons are based on canon material
Typhlosion - obvious reasons, Cyndaquil always assigned to Ethan like how Lyra is to Chikorita and Silver to Totodile. (also accurate to manga!)
Togekiss - also another obvious reason, since Professor Elm gives Ethan a Togepi egg early in the game and it would eventually evolve into a Togekiss if Ethan were to maximize his 'mon's full potential
Gyrados - ANOTHER obvious reason, the whole Shiny Gyrados event happened and who in the world would not catch a free Shiny? (Jaide would be so proud!)
Umbreon - Personal choice of mine, if Red (in my canon) has an Espeon, then I think it would be a cool contrast that Ethan gets an Umbreon. Plus, they both have yellow and black as dominant colors in their design.
Ampharos - It's a popular Pokemon that everyone catches, and it's a neat contrast to Red's Pikachu as well. Also another yellow + black combo. One of the first pokemon that Jaide learned to be comfortable with, due to her fear with electric types.
Scizor - Also another popular Pokemon at the time, but for personal HC; Lyra and Ethan went on a Bug-Catching Contest together, only for her to get a Scyther that he would like to trade for - so she did, and also dropped a Metal Coat while trading so that it would turn into a Scizor. She's just that nice.
yes, I'm super aware that would mean Jaide and Ethan has a Togepi line together and YES Ethan's Togekiss is fond of Jaide's Togepi,,,
In the present time (Gen 7), I like to think that Ethan's holding his title as Champion in Johto but he also bounces around doing other things as a Trainer. He's friends with Lyra and Silver, and hangs around with them a lot. He would perhaps be 20-23 at this point in time. He never really has gone out to other regions apart from Kanto, which he occasionally visits from time to time + it's much more easier to go there thanks to Goldenrod City's train quick travel. He still stays with his mom, just to keep her company but he's very active to outside whenever he can.
Ethan and Jaide don't really see each other as much anymore due to their preferred professions being very different, along with Jaide's relationship with Red - but they still keep in touch through long distance communication and Jaide would be sure to visit New Bark Town once in awhile and that's where they would catch up with each other and just enjoy each other's company. He also borrows her Pokemon collection sometimes, she doesn't mind it.
Speaking of which, Red and Ethan may not be TOO close, since Ethan was still young and he couldn't really hang out with them much when they were all in Kanto. But Red still recognizes that he's a good person - and strong as a matter of fact. He'd love to battle him again. There's a sense of mutual respect between the two. Blue being the social butterfly would definitely give him connections to other people and Ethan is no exception. There's nothing too special, but they're good friends.
One day I'll get to designing how older Ethan would look, but this is what I have in mind for him so far~

Arc V Anniversary Day 12
Day 12: Favorite ships?
While there are quite a few Arc V pairings that I really like, Fruitshipping is definitely my favorite one. As I mentioned in an earlier prompt, I initially wasn't interested in the pairing simply because I thought any shipping nods would feel really forced. Fortunately, that wasn't the case. I think it really helps that the series emphasizes and showcases their friendship early on. Fruitshipping is an example of childhood friends developing romantic feelings for each other done right in my opinion. Well before they were separated and had to deal with the dimensional war, Yuya and Yuzu had some really sweet moments that showed how they cared about each other. Yuya was completely supportive and confident in Yuzu's skills during her duel against Masumi. After his duel against Kaichdoki, Yuya was clearly depressed, but being able to watch Yuzu's duel made him smile. Moments like those really helped to convey a sweet friendship between both of them instead of making it completely one sided.
It also made their emotional breakdowns upon being separated from each other much more believable. It did feel like they had lost something important once they were separated and in Yuzu's case, she didn't know if she could ever get back home. I love that they continue to support each other throughout the whole series despite being apart from each other. Yuzu spending her first duel in the Friendship Cup to reassure him was quite touching. Yuya discarding Smile World, the embodiment of his ideals and a card left behind by his father, just because he valued Yuzu's smile more so was really heartwarming. I especially love that Yuzu was able to reach out to Yuya even when they both had merged with their counterparts and had become Zarc and Ray respectively. It could have easily been just the typical female lead calling out to the male lead like what happens in plenty of series. But because their friendship has been well established and was shown multiple times just how important it is for both of them, it was much more meaningful than that. It showed that their bond was so strong that nothing, not even their original selves, could tear them apart.
As fantastic as a love confession would have been at the end of the series, I don't think it was really necessary. Yuya traveled through different dimensions to find Yuzu and Yuzu did whatever she could to help Yuya even when they were apart from each other. They do love each other and it's up to the audience to determine if it is romantic or platonic love. That's another reason why I love the pairing. While I do firmly believe that they developed romantic feelings for each other, people can just as easily read it as a strong platonic love and I don't think one reading is better than the other. Platonic love is still as important as romantic love after all. I just love that their friendship was always important to them since that makes romantic aspects of the pairing more natural and believable too.
I also really like Appleshipping. Despite how their relationship was shown primarily through flashbacks, I thought that they did a good job in showing just how important Rin is to Yugo. Even his gag of mistaking the other Bracelet Girls for Rin showed just how much he missed her and how happy he was at the thought that she suddenly came back. Building a D-Wheel together showed how smart both Rin and Yugo are considering how difficult that was for two Commons kids to do in the City. It showed that they were both determined to win their way through the Friendship Cup and find a better life for themselves. Yugo always seemed happy to be with Rin, but I don't think he fully realized just how important she was to him until she was gone. Yugo was completely devoted in rescuing her throughout the series and that made their relationship a lot more touching than I initially expected it to be.
Their reunion was both comical and emotional given Rin's massive kick to Yugo's stomach and then immediately crying in relief that Yugo finally came. It showed that she was afraid after being captured. Ruri at least knew what Academia was, while Rin was most likely completely in the dark about the dimensional war at least prior to being kidnapped. I firmly believe that Yugo did talk to the real Rin and that the brainwashing didn't take affect until after the creepy smile showed up, so they did have a brief reunion. Despite Yugo's best efforts, he ultimately wasn't able to save Rin, which does give the pairing a more tragic ending in a sense. But I thought that was rather fitting given what was going to happen to the counterparts and despite the backlash towards the ending, I do think that there were quite a few hints pointing towards that the counterparts wouldn't be able to split apart again. Besides that, they're still together at the end. They may not have their own bodies anymore, but they can still interact with each other since they were able to see themselves during the finale. It may not be the most ideal ending, but Yugo and Rin were able to be together again in the end and I still think that's what matters the most to them.
Genesisshipping is another favorite pairing of mine. I'm usually not into pairings where the characters don't or barely interact in the series, but Genesisshipping is one of the exceptions. Similar to Predatorshipping, I kind of enjoyed all of the what if scenarios involving Zarc and Ray. They both were originally regular humans who through different circumstances obtained powers akin to gods. And those powers represent destruction and creation respectively. That setup alone would make for some interesting what if situations for the pairings. But I think what really made me like this pairing was seeing the counterparts interact with each other. Even though Zarc wanted to defeat Ray in their inevitable rematch and Ray was determined to defeat Zarc in this cycle of destruction and creation, most of their reincarnations were drawn together. Ray wanted to keep the Zarc's evil heart at bay, which is which her reincarnations were close to Zarc's, but it seemed deeper than just that. Yuya, Yuto and Yugo deeply cared about Yuzu, Ruri and Rin and vice versa. Yuri and Serena were the only exceptions due to Leo keeping them apart and interestingly enough, they seemed the most Zarc and Ray like out of the counterparts.
Despite everything Zarc did to the original world and Ray being the one to finally defeat him, the strong connection between their reincarnations made me wonder what would have happened if they had become friends in the original world. I don't think Zarc would have become a demon and destroyed the world if he had another connection aside from his dragons and Ray was seemingly the only other person who could feel the anger in Zarc's monsters too. They may not have met prior to Zarc’s downfall and they were willing to do whatever it took to defeat each other, but given the strong bonds between most of the counterparts that can be easily read as the characters developing romantic feelings for each other, I like to think that deep down, both Zarc and Ray wanted a friend that they could truly connect with. Their duel, along with the destruction of the original world, set the storyline for the series in motion and without that, we wouldn't have the series or the same characters that many fans grew to love over the course of Arc V. Even so, it is immensely interesting and tragic to think that if the circumstances were different, Zarc and Ray could have become friends and perhaps into a couple eventually in their own world.

NEW COLOR PALLET TRIO INFODUMP AAUGH‼️‼️(art by nero mwamwa)
OKAY im genuinely gonna take huge insp off the movie because it just matches so well and it bridges missing concepts i needed for their lore AUGH OKAY so
• i'm reclaiming the idea that red gave jaide a torchic and named it chuy (it was named kaia but its CHUY NOW!!!) while i unfortunately cannot answer how did red acquire a torchic it's totally meant for her (maybe through trading with a hoenn local that happened to be in kanto at the time)
• before jaide left for johto, red and blue invited her to the safari zone in fuchsia city because they miss her and they want her to experience what it's like to catch pkmn (despite the pikachu incident that occured before) this allowed jaide to discover her talent - she's really good at catching pkmn, even better than both boys combined.
• so when she was prepared to leave kanto, she would at least have this newfound passion to try to capture, and her target is the johtonian pkmn. she's thankful they helped her find something special about herself. her parting words was hoping that she'd meet them and they'd become fully fledged trainers they aim to be
• skipping past the gen 3 to gen 6 events, we land on the gen 7 timeline, they're all adults now. blue is viridian city's gym leader,
jaide is professor oak and elm's designated professional catcher,
and red is the mysterious living legend and champion who later opened up to the public again thanks to blue.
• meanwhile - thanks to kukui, alola has been creating their own championship league which meant that it's still new. i like to think that the battle tree was also created at the same time and he needed "bosses" to facilitate the battle tree.
• kukui invites red and blue to become the battle tree bosses, to which red and blue agrees with. it's gonna have some sort of grand opening and this brings attention to people from the other regions to want to visit alola. i like to think bringing blue and red was a celebrity bait in some way, especially for red who's popular despite not showing his face around.
• at that same time, professor oak has a new job for jaide which was to capture all alolan regional forms of certain pkmn - she was given the funds to help her go travel to alola. blue would know about this and he tells her to come visit the battle tree because he and red will be there as well. (AHEM AHEM LIKE HOW MANOLO IS GONNA HAVE HIS FIRST BULLFIGHT AND IT COINCIDES WITH THE DAY MARIA RETURNS FROM SPAIN AND AND AND--
• ahem anyways, blue is very excited about this! because red and jaide havent exactly met up with each other properly (they were only able to say hi to each other through blue's contacts since blue and jaide consistently talking to each other throughout the years) (just imagine a funny zoom call where red and blue are in the same room and jaide is on the other side)
• red's ... quite nervous and excited about this! he's still getting used to the public attention and usually loses his mojo when he's being watched, and it's double the pressure when she's around. he can only pray he'll do fine at the battle tree if she's gonna watch him.
• a fun cameo happens with elio/selene where they solo red in the battle tree and blue watches them - jaide eventually appears as well to watch and they're both cheering for red 🫶
• red almost lost that round because jaide showed up and he kept taking chances to look at her
• after the grand opening, they were officially reunited and it felt so good to meet each other again. well, blue with jaide and red felt like nothing since he was simultaneously in contact with them. he's like the messenger between the apples 😔😔
• i like to think red really has never fallen off of liking jaide since he was a kid but it only got stronger when they meet again and it's like an old book had been dusted clean and ready to be opened
• and appleshipping pre romance begins shortly after wehehehhe
#IM SOOO PROUD#i GOT THIS SHIT FIGURED OUT FINALLY!!!!!!#now time for the actual romance plot (static sounds) shit idk how to write that AAAUHHH#~ rambling#~ loreposting#color pallet trio#💚 appleshipping

🌹😑💔💩✌💚💙👅👎💤💘💦💣👀💖💢 :)
Oh, don’t give me that smile, you know what you were doing :’D
🌹Ship that you have as an OTP
In Arc V? The fruits the apples, pendulum it’s pretty near and zarcray, in 5d’s there’s scoopshipping and faitshipping.
😑Ship that you’re indifferent to
Any Shun ship? Like over time, my feelings went from ‘Ugh’ to ‘Meh’ about him and same goes for ships involving him, mostly because people tend to either characterize him as a bastard sexy boyfriend (*cough* seme *cough*) or a brooding angsty one and I’m just like… can we have a little variety plz?
💔 Ship that makes you sad
Depending on the take Zarcay makes me feel like that, the Apples because they never got a proper reunion, Scoop is the major tearjearker for me tho.
💩 Ship that you find disgusting
Disgusting is a bit of a strong word, but I don’t like any sameface ships in slightest, in DM thief and puppy are notp for me… I think that’s it.
✌Ship that you find cute but don’t ship
Trigger and Musicbox? I love Yuzu’s friendship with Yugo and Sora and I’d rather keep them as that than as ships.
💚Ship that you secretly like:
Lol, there was a brief time where I kept secret my like for Classicalshipping for… dunno why since I’ve shipped it long before the Ray reveal but I have long since gotten over that… or any Reiji x Bracelet Girl ships :’DD
💙Ship that you used to have as an OTP:
Remember what I said in my last post about Fiance? Well I used to ship them hard back when GX first aired over here, but as the series progressed started to became less and less hyped by them.
👅Ship that you find most sexy:
Robustthispping, Zarcray? and thanks to you Tima Reiji x Zarc… I guess any Zarc ship has the potential to be this?
👎Ship that you can never see happening:
Are we talking about canon? Because as stated before I have way too many crack and rare ships :’DDD
But even in hypotethical scenarios where they’re not reincarnations of the same person I can’t see the sameface ships working because the fact that they’d have the same face remains so… yeah
💤Ship that is canon but you don’t ship
Ruri x Yuto (I mean them and fruits is as canon as they get in the series) I just find them kinda generic at best and boring at worse as a couple.
💘Ship that is unpopular but you still like:
Unpopular as be careful with the tags unless you awaken the fandom demons? Or just normal unpopular as in little people ship it? I’m gonna go with… Janushipping I think since her sort of confirmed relationship with Yuto there were lots of people denouncing this ship, but I still think it has potential to be far more interesting than the egao children.
💦Ship that is taboo:
Does Classical, Mechanical, Prodigy and Amethyst count? Those ships were never popular but ever since the Ray reveal it became a touchy subject in the fandom for a while (although I’d argue that like hostage it has little to do with what they claim is taboo about these ships otherwise they wouldn’t ship sameface or the bird bros either)
💣Ship that pisses you off:
None? I mean I could go on and one about annoying shippers in any ships even the ones I ship but about ships on their own? Not really. although for a while shunyuto came pretty close
👀 Ship you’re curious about:
Curious but not enough to actively ship them? I’m gonna go with Emblem (Serena x Yuya) and Reira x Ayu art was cute af.
💖 Ship that needs more love:
Bro I already answered this one :P but for the sake of pleasing you I’m gonna say it: Robustshipping :3
💢Ship that is most misunderstood:
I’m gonna go with Appleshipping and Pendulumshipping, apple because I’m tired of seeing Rin portrayed as a sweet angel and Yugo as an useless idiot, in addition I’m so tired of people saying she’s the most underdeveloped of the Bracelet Squad… Pendulum because people to this day after all what their relationship progressed into are still saying that their relationship would be an abusive one ¬.¬
#rose talks#my askbox#shipping asks#arc v ships#lol this took longer than I thought#reijiakabutt#long post

Any headcanons for appleshipping?
DO I (I have older appleshipping headcanons here)
I think maybe they didn’t get along very well in the beginning (they were teeny tiny children) but dueled it out one day and had such a good time they became friends (and Yuugo became very attached to Rin)
As kids they both had nightmares frequently (usually of glowing red eyes and giant beasts destroying the world), and whenever that happened they’d sing songs together to feel better (Yuugo would always say that Rin’s voice sounded like a bell)
They both had parents before but they passed away (as in they weren’t just dropped off in that dimension with no parents)
Yuugo was very good at gambling, so that’s how they managed to get many of the parts needed for their Dwheel (he was good at lots of games actually)
Another game besides duel monsters that they liked to play a lot to pass the time was hide and seek (you can imagine Rin’s horror when she met Yuuri and he suggested the same thing)
Despite it being very hard to stay warm, they both really liked snow (they made a snow Dwheel once to play on and that gave them a spark of inspiration to really try making one)
Rin loved jewelry. She liked sparkly things a lot but was kind of embarrassed to mention it. Still Yuugo noticed enough that he made the choker for her that she wears all the time (with a lot of help from others and bartering a lot for even a simple gem)
When they were really really little and had been friends for about a year Yuugo proposed to Rin and Rin said they could get married only if Yuugo became King (as a big fan of Jack Yuugo thought that was impossible at first but quickly latched onto the idea). Years and years later they both forgot about the marriage part but their goals to defeat the current king stayed the same.
