Brinley was sitting at her dinning room table eating a plate of cut up apples and peanut butter when she heard the door bell ring, she furrowed her eyebrows but got up and was not suprised seeing Cole standing there but was confused that he had flowers in his hands.

“Cole?” Brinley titled her head confused.

“You said you were free?” Cole smirked slightly shrugging, he knew if he asked her straightforward on a date she would say no.

Brinley thought back to Saturday after the game.

“So are you busy are monday?” Cole nervously asked as he sat down next to Brinley, being mindful to keep his voice down so only she could hear him.

“Yeah i’m free.” Brinley nodded not looking up from her skates that she was untying.

Cole’s face light up with a big smile that he was trying to hide, “That’s great, I’ll see you then.” Cole got up and all but skipped to his stall.

“See you then.” Brinley looked up muttering confused.

“I did.” Brinley nodded, “What’s with the flowers?” She saw they were rainbow baby breath, her favorite.

“Brinley can i take you on a date?” Cole asked softly he saw her hesitated and opened her mouth slightly, he leaned forward gently grabbing her hand, “I know you feel something for me and i know you are trying to be respectful of the fact to your my captain but Meels i’ve wanted to have the chance to be with you since i first ever meet you.” Cole nervously swallowed but got out the words he needed to tell her.

Brinley bit her lip remembering the advice from Quinn and she took a deep breath, “Let me go get dressed.” Brinley turned around leaving the door open for Cole.

“Wait is that a yes?” Cole smiled calling after her, he’s been waiting for this moment for years.

“Well i cant wear pajamas on our date can i?” Brinley playfully called back smiling softly, she’s never had a true first date, mostly just hookups or causal relationships nothing of what she feels for Cole.

“You look beautiful either way.” Cole smiled widely as he called back watching her head down the hallway into her bedroom once he heard the door close he threw his fist in the air, exicted he’s finally getting a chance.

Brinley let out a nervous breath as headed into her closet, she pulled on a pair of tan pants, a black t-shirt bodysuit and a grey cardigan with black converse, she put on some jewelry before heading out of the bathroom and walked down the hallway seeing Cole in her kitchen putting her flowers into a vase.

Brinley smiled soflty and walked over to him standing next to him looking at the flowers, “They are beautiful.”

Cole looked over at her soflty, “You’re beautiful.” He smiled seeing her roll her eyes but could see the smile she was trying to hide, “They are your favorite.” Cole spoke as he finished putting the flowers into the base.

“They are.” Brinley looked at him softly because no one has ever remembered her favorite flowers.

“Now we’ve got a date to go on.” Cole softly pushed her out of the kitchen, Brinley grabbed her purse and phone and followed Cole out of her front door.

Cole hurried to his car first opening the door for her, Brinley gave him a small smile and hopped into his car.

Cole got into the drivers seat and connected his phone putting on his Taylor Swift playlist knowing Brinley likes her just as much as he does.

Cole started the drive to where he was taking them giving soft glances towards Brinley who was looking outside the window as they drove.

Cole pulled into the parking lot, revealing the beach in front of them.

“The beach?” Brinley questioned looking at Cole, Brinley has always loved the beach.

Cole anwsered with a smile and nod and hopped out the car and quickly opened the door for her before heading to the trunk and pulling out a basket and some blankets.

“Thought we could have a picnic?” Cole softly questioned looking up at Brinley.

“I’d like that.” Brinley smiled grabbing one of the blankets.

Cole knew how much Brinley enjoys the beach but it’s usually quite crowded but he learned once it gets colder most people don��t go to this beach and he was right there was no one in sight as they walked through the sand closer to the water.

Brinley set the blanket out on the sand and she sat down slipping off her shoes and socks putting her feet in the sand smiling ad she looked at the waves in front of her.

Cole smiled and sat down next to putting the basket in front of them and opening it, he picked out a lot of her favorites, “PB and J.” Cole smiled handing her a sandwich that he made.

Brinley felt her heart squeeze fondly as Cole didn’t get her anything fancy but more her favorite she quickly opened the sandwich and made a sound of delight, “Oh my god, Your stuck with me now if you keep making these.” Brinley had absolutely no idea what Cole did but she has never had a better PB and J.

“Gladly.” Cole fondly watched with a smirk as he opened his sandwich.

Brinley scooted closer and rested her head on Cole’s shoulder making his eyes widen in shock but hesitantly put his arm around her, “Is this okay?” Cole softly whispered not wanting to push her to much.

“It’s okay.” Brinley whispered back, For years she tried desperately to pretend what she felt was platonic and nothing more but she didn’t want to pretend any longer.

The sun started to set making the sky a beautiful sunset as they watched the sky together.

Cole pulled out a bag of homemade peanut butter cookies for Brinley and handed them to her.

“Peanut Butter cookies!” Brinley gasped in excitement and quickly grabbed them and opening the bag and put some into her mouth, “Oh my god.” Brinley closed her eyes as she chewed on the cookie.

“Good?” Cole asked soflty his thumb mindlessly rubbing her side, Brinley looked up at him and held out a piece for him to take and Cole leaned down taking the bite while maintaining eye contact with Brinley he hummed as he chewed on it, “It is good.”

Brinley bit her lip setting the cookies down and slowly bringing her hand up to his face and whipping away the cookies crumbs that was near his lips, she leaned in closer her eyes flickering up to his eyes, who was watching her intently.

Cole brought his hand to cup the back of her head, “Can i?” Cole softly questioned leaning into her to touch, Brinley hummed with a smile and leaned closer to him, Their lips met in a soft but desperate manner and they both let out sighs as they touched.

Cole pulled her towards him by the back of her head and hated having to lean back to catch his breath, “Does this mean i can get more dates now?” Cole cheekily questioned.

“I don’t know you might need to kiss me again.” Brinley cheekily replied giggling seeing his face light up more, Cole leaned back down connecting their lips again.

Brinley hands went to the back of his head running her fingers through his hair as she pulled him closer.

They both let out breaths as they pulled away looking at each other.

“What about calling you my girlfriend?” Cole nervously asked brushing his thumb gently against her cheek.

“If you kiss me again.” Brinley replied with a soft smile, Cole let out a fond laugh but leaned forward pressing his lips back to hers.

.........That's a tricky question.... Very tricky aya... I actually ...kind of love them all!

I mean I love the essence, the vibe of Ghibli's studio, in each movies there is something I'm soooo fond of: from music, to colors, to background, to feels.... Those movies can't let you left without any feelings actually! Some letf me in tears, some heartwarmed, some wt* xD, and some like rooting for such ends!

Ahh also a tricky one, I actually like living scent.... Organic I would say lol! Scent which I can associate things with like:

-apple shampoo reminds me my childhood

-bakery all time smelllls good

-incense is so calming for the mind

-sea breeze and salt are soooo great too

-eucalyptus, mint, lavender are also sooo good

-and worn perfume has that special ability to have different scent with each person!

The Trickster's Mask (Excerpt); An Onion's Meaning

Here's the full scene since I can't get it out of my head. Bear in mind that it's still a WIP excerpt so it might not be done and/or vague. Anyways, I'm really proud of it regardless. Here you go;

"An onion? Is this some metaphor for how people are multi-faceted?" Perendale asked as he took the vegetable from the masked god. Something briefly hummed against his palm, signaling it was enchanted if only barely. He brought it to his nose to sniff and felt his stomach growl with the reminder that he had forgotten to eat lunch again. The mask shifted to gold, hardening and reflective, mirroring his own face back at him. He swore he heard them chuckle, "Something like that, old friend. Your task is to show me as many layers as you can. And explain the connection to the people of this world."

"As many as I can, huh?" Perendale turned the onion over in his hands, thinking. With a careless shrug, he lifted the onion and took a large bite, as if he were biting into an apple. The onion was raw, given the crispness as it crunched audibly in his mouth. Whatever magic it had been imbued with, it did nothing to the sharp and pungent flavor that had his eyes watering for a moment. He chewed and swallowed, showing the Trickster the onion's remains with a bright smile.

The Trickster stared at him in silence for a moment, then lowered his head to the onion. "What...you just...ate it?"

"No sense wasting food, and I doubt you wanted to poison me so...yeah," He shrugged again and pulled the onion back to him to take another bite.

"Most people like to cook their food before eating it, you know," The Trickster's mask softened to velvet, but those void-like eyes swirled with every color imaginable. His body shook slightly, as if with laughter but there was no trace of it in his voice. "You truly are capable of anything, aren't you, Perendale?"

"Most people are, given the chance," He chuckled and took another bite. "In a way, people are like onions in that way, too. There's a lot of variability and versatility in people. They can make even the smallest thing mean both nothing and everything."

"Nothing....and everything...You really do catch on quickly, given that was the true purpose of this test." Now the god before him broke out into a burst of laughter, the very fabric of the world itself vibrating with the sound, colors brightening and objects shimmering with sharper details that faded away with the sound. It almost made him sad to realize how rare something as simple as laughter probably was for the God, and how powerful he must be for a simple change in mood to affect the world so strongly. It didn't change the fact that Perendale still counted the god as among his friends, but it did put things into perspective just how important the Trickster was to the world. How important Perendale could become, if he ever accepted the offer of replacing his friend.

But then his friend would be gone, right?

Perendale sighed and ran a hand through his dark curls, "Yeah, well, I've had an interesting enough life to know that things aren't always so simple. Thanks for the food, though."

"Your welcome," The god turned his head, as if listening to some distant sound. "I'll consider the anwser you have given me in better detail later. Until then, we will meet again another time."

"See you around," He agreed, reaching out a hand to the deity. After a moment's hesitation, a gloved hand-as soft and supple as lambskin leather-slipped into his and clasped him around the forearm. The grip was strong, reassuring him that there was still plenty of time before Perendale or maybe even someone else would be forced to make a choice one day. "I'll miss you."

"I am never far," The Trickster assured him, then with the passing of the wind, he vanished from sight. Peren's hand still tingled slightly from where they had touched and he shook out the feeling before remembering the onion in his other hand.

He smiled and took another bite, finishing it off slowly, as he walked back to the caravan where his fellow theater troupe were waiting

What's the difference between monkeys and apes, aside from the tails? I was mostly wondering genetically

Lol literally so much is different that I cannot answer this question on this scale. You could write an entire thesis on this and it totally depends on the species. First step is realizing how diverse monkeys really are- there's roughly 300 species of monkeys (this doesn't include primates that aren't monkeys like lemurs and tarsiers)! So they are just as different from one another as they are different from apes. Of course, being primates is something they have all have in common and depending on the species you're comparing they may have more in common.
