That post put me in an existential crisis at 3am last night and I'm still not over it.

LIKE WHAT IS MY STYLE?????? HELP!!!!!!

I just started doing the cartoony eyes thing because I like to be able to tell where a character is looking, yet I still like official style alot. (Also maybe got influenced when I binged watched transformers animated and transformers prime. I really like the different eye shapes for the characters in those two shows.)

I haven't been in the sky community that long but I just noticed something...

Nothing grinds my gears quite like the sheer difference in effort between critics and the people who harass them

The Hbomberguy video is a great example. It's 2 and a 1/2 hours of video backed by a gazillion hours of research into RT history, b-footage gathering, a possible rewatch of the entire show so he knew exactly what he was talking about, scripting, narration recording, editing, feedback and reedits, etc etc

Yet the folks decrying the video as hate propaganda can't even be bothered to give a single example of what they think he got wrong. 150 minutes of supposedly 100% incorrect information should be able to produce quite a few things to talk about in specific detail, yet it never happens. They always complain in vague, general terms while casting Hbomb as worse than Satan Lucifer himself

And there are things he got wrong in the video, like calling Sun Wukong a white guy, but because of how it's put together you can understand how he came to these incorrect conclusions. Hell, the orientalism/lack of cultural identity despite coding and design is something rwde had talked about in detail before, so it's not surprising that it slipped his radar given how big the project was

But why would rabids do something intelligent like form an actual response to a conclusion you disagree with when you can just call people names and be done with it e_e
