Hear me out, Bucky Barnes is my Steve Harrington and Darcy is my Eddie.

One is a former happy go-lucky lover/party boy dealing with PTSD and issues stemming from guardians who treated him wrong. Sometimes cocky, sometimes a smart alec, usually in need of a hug and generally protective.

The other written through the enthusiasm they have for their personal interests, often a chaotic gremlin and Cool Nerd who is gregarious and known for their wit and wants to give the other all their hugs.

I've had ten people mention to me that "You have the books" whenever I talk about my disappointment with the Michael(a) change. And I find it so hypocritical because it would be so insensitive if someone adapted a sapphic love story and then decided to change the gender of one of the characters. The very same people crying about "you have the books" "bffr it is just a show it's not that serious" would be throwing hissy fits if the opposite was done. One girl got bullied and made fun of because she had stayed up all night to watch Bridgerton and ended up crying. She was disappointed with how Polin was handled and then was even more shocked with Michaela that she started crying. Like?? Please have some nuance. You can't act like it isn't "serious" but at the same time talk about how important LGBT (and other diversity reps) are important (they are!!). Because if it isn't that serious than it isn't that serious to care about a show not having LGBT characters as a lead? The logic isn't there.

I am angry about Michaela. Just like how I would be FUMING if any of my LGBT ships were altered or messed with. My OTP is literally Nico and Will from Percy Jackson series. If someone decided to make one of them into a girl, I would fucking riot.

It is very simple.

I would have the same reaction for any type of character.

If we change a woman into a man. Or if we change a queer couple into a heterosexual couple.

I would have the same type of reaction if we did this to any franchise with characters that are close to my heart and of whom I already have a precise image formed in my head.

The worst part is that I'm not completely outraged.

Part of me is happy to tell myself that we will have a central queer romance between women in future seasons. It's always cool to see representation when you're a queer person yourself.

But with Bridgerton I don't feel like it was the right place for this type of central romance.

Because there was already a story for Michael and Francesca. Which will surely be very different from the book in the show. While once again, it's literally the best of the lot and for which I hope for a fairly high level of loyalty. But Netflix also decided to go into fanfiction mode for WHWW.

And yes it disappoints me a little. And I'm not ashamed of it.

Who cares if I'm ironically called queerphobic for that / or for hating queer people. Or that tumblr is apparently a gay website, under the pretext that many members of the queer community are there, and therefore it is not the place to make this kind of comment.

I remind that I'm bi and that I love tons of queer romances and that I actively hate queerbaiting. I'm still not over Supercorp to this day by the way...

The fact is that the situation is very simple but many people deliberately do not understand our discontent. We have loved a male character established within a specific story for years and we do not appreciate that all of a sudden, we are deprived of the expensive and bone vision of a Michael Stirling that we have already waited a long time.

Besides, for the most part we would hope that they would not screw up the trio Fran, John and Michael, as they were able to do with Anthony Kate and Edwina (seriously, the madness with Edwina went too far in season 2). Well it looks like it's also on the verge of being destroyed. Fran didn't seem to enjoy her first kiss with John, but she seemed to have an instant crush when Michaela appeared, while Michaela didn't seem to have any particular reaction. And that already goes against all the foundations laid between these three characters... and that annoys me even more.

My thoughts on the KHY x BWS ship

Okay, so first of all, I have seen a lot (if not all) of the shipping edits across different online platforms. For transparency, I admit I couldn't help but smile so widely while I replay them so many times. They just make me happy whenever they're together.

BUT even with all these heart-pounding "moments" I still keep myself safe from crossing over when I think about three things:

KHY is known (apparently) as an anti-romantic. I didn't know this until I saw people post about it. Seeing her in the multitudes of videos (edits or official), she seems to be the type to interact as she usually does with her co-stars. If she's comfortable, she's comfortable, that's that. Although she also readily gives fan service, it usually involves aegyo or doing poses for pics. I guess what I'm saying is... she doesn't go out of her way for fanservice.

On the other hand, BWS (also apparently) is naturally flirty and goofy. He seems like a really nice guy with a sense of humor. I've seen some clips of him with his previous co-stars and he seems playful with them too. I admit not as much as when he is with KHY but I feel like this is normal for him. I mean, this is the guy who stared down a fan in that one video.

They are promoting a drama together. BWS loves Sun Jae so much that he (still) couldn't let go. KHY lived and breathed Im Sol for those 10 months (or more) of filming. BWS said he let himself (as Sun Jae) fall in love with KHY's Sol and acting opposite of her made it easy. It's not new for actors to catch feelings when they are in the same projects together (and it actually happens often enough, I think). Is it the same in this case? Maybe. But I think it's more plausible to think the chemistry is working its magic for promotions.

Now, don't get me wrong. I'm happy seeing them in really good terms with each other. Whether this friendship blossoms to something more in the future is something I would also like to see. But, for now, especially since I believe they are both smart to know their careers are still taking off, I don't think they will do anything about it. They seem passionate in acting and I have high hopes for them.

I will forever love SolJae and them as the actors who brought this OTP to life. As KHY and BWS, however, I don't want to presume anything, only hoping they wouldn't drift away any time soon, even when their careers bring them to different places.

Recently, I've noticed that I have a certain type when in comes to my OTPs which is a sadistic top paired with a fearless bottom. Granted, not all of my OTPs are of this type but I dont think its an exaggeration when I say that at least 90% of them are like this

GinHiji

Out of all of my OTPs, I'd say GinHiji pretty much embodies my favourite type of OTPs. Gintoki is canonically a Sadist and in fact, is known to be a Do-S alongside Sougo. Contrasting him is the fearless yet tsundere Hijikata. Another reason why I like them is the manzai combi they have. Hijikata is forever exasperated by Gintoki and cant help but be the tsukkomi to Gintoki's boke 🤣

BakuDeku

These 2 have a very complicated relationship but thankfully have improved a lot especially in recent years. Bakugou can be quite sadistic but considering what's happened between them and him canonically wants to do better, I think it'll take awhile for Bakugou to let out that sadistic side of him around Deku

With Deku though, he doesnt mind and I think we all can agree that Deku is a disastrous combination of fearless and reckless 😅

One of my 1st OTPs since high school. Now, I dont think i need to tell anyone who's ever read or watched KHR that Mukuro is hands down quite terrifying and considering his introduction, has a sadistic streak a mile wide

For Tsuna, yeah....while its true that he tend to be more afraid than not but as time went on, it became more apparent that he's grown to be couragous and fearless when it comes to his Famiglia

KamuShin

granted, this is more of a crackship since Kamui and Shinpachi barely interacted but I like how their personalities mesh together. Kamui is another canonically sadistic chara in Gintama, anyone who's ever seen him fight in the Yoshiwara or Silver Soul arc can attest to that. Not to mentioned all of the shenanigans and mayhem he likes to cause with a deranged grin

Shinpachi is noted to be fearless in his own right, capable of accomplishing feats that other normal humans would feel impossible to even try. cant forget that he's also the one who made Utsuro pause before the timeskip

plus, they're also a manzai combi! a Do-S Yato boke with a glasses tsukkomi XD

ParaEmu

initially, i like them as a switch couple but recent years make me lean more of them as a fixed pair with Parad as a top. starting out as a villain, Parad was noted to be quite sadistic especially when he possessed Emu. He's since mellowed out but since we dont see much of how the charas are post-canon, its hard to say if he retained his more sadistic nature. i tend to hc that he does but only lets it out when needed

if anyone knows Emu's not so pleasant childhood and how he's risen to overcome many obstacles in life, then i think we can agree that he's become one of the most fearless charas in Ex-Aid

Wei Wuxian is one of the most fearless charas I've ever had the pleasure to know about. the way he holds onto his morals and convictions even as the whole world turned against him is nothing short of inspiring. born with a smile and a noble heart that's matched by his beloved husband Lan Wangji

while he's not sadistic in the usual sense, Lan Wangji in the novel is known to mercilessly tease his husband especially in :ehem: bed. not to mentioned that when he deems it necessary, this man never hesitates to swiftly cut people down with just a few words right at jugular too

a suicidal former Port Mafia who's known to torture people paired with his steadily fearless were-tiger. i love their dynamic

MiSawa

Miyuki Kazuya is canonically known as twisted by both allies and opponents alike even feared to the point of petrifying the target of his ire with just a glare.

Sawamura Eijun? the fearless sunshine boy who overcome odds that would and have retired many players from the game. the Yips arc was remarkable in showing Eijun's strength and determination

KaiShin

the trickster who can easily manipulate law enforcements and enemies alike. its more noted in the early chapters of the manga, but Kaito was more callous. while thats no longer the case, Kaito is still quite unhinged

Shinichi? well, with all the reckless stunts he's pulled over the past 20+ years, i think fearless is an understatement for this detective

LawLu

the recent addition to my OTP list. LawLu is the one that made me realise that I tend to favour sadistic tops when I was trying to articulate Law's preference in my HC

thats when I realised that Law has a sadistic streak in canon. while its not explored all that much since he's an ally of the Straw Hats, we see hints of it. combined with the fact that he's a nerd, big on plans and control, he's a terrifying force. this is the same guy who cut opened 100 pirate hearts and sent them to the Marines

Luffy? he's fearless as they come. overcoming many hardships and coming out stronger. who fights for freedom and nakama even if it means facing death. hell, its canon that he's not afraid to face death for what he believes in

Probably Sasharcy (of course in the context of Sashannarcy). I absolutely adore all variants of the Calamity Trio but I just tend to drift towards them. My guess is that the personality contrast, and possibly just how much they both need to grow and forgive each other. I don't know it just intrigues me.

I also really like platonic Zelink from the BotW/TotK iteration.

And I Know I Kissed You Before (But I Didn't Do It Right) - BearerOfTheBitterMoon (liminal-lesbian on here) - Okay I could put all of Mara's fanfics on here. Her writing style and story concepts are just amazing. But we'd be here all day, so we're not going to do that. This one specifically though, was just such an emotional rollercoaster (without leaving with permanent emotional trauma, ex: The Three Body Problem). It's very sweet, it's very sad and it all just feels so real. If that makes any sense

A Witch In Wartwood - Disect - I haven't finished the sequel fanfic yet, but I love this story. It had a very creative take on a Swap AU, and it did a really good job at capturing the essence of the original show while also completely being it's own thing.

Pinpoint - i'm-at-my-limit - Okay, I need to get caught up on this one, because I love the concept and I find it's characterization really interesting but I'm also behind by like two chapters because I wasn't reading as much for a while.

Across The Seven Seas - Heart_Wit_Strength - Did I successfully trick you into thinking I wasn't going to say this? Did it work? Seriously though this is one of those fanfics that I read, immediately reread and proceeded to think about for the next three days. I actually have fan art of it that I need to complete some day. I don't know what you did, but you succeeded at it.

Then there's this one fanfic about Sasha that I really like, but I cannot find it or remember what it is called.

(I have quite a few others that I really liked, these are just the four that were in my brain apparently)

12. What's the funniest or craziest AU idea you've ever come up with?

So the same week that I created Daren, I also created what I call that Devil in the Details AU. Which is one of those AUs where it could be angsty, but I decided it was way funnier to write absurd shenanigans.

Basically Marcy, a lonely and aimless college student, opens a music box (gifted to her by her academic mentor, Andrias) and ends up with Darcy as the devil on her shoulder. Then Anne and Sasha are sent by heaven to prevent her from becoming corrupted and taken over by them.  

Of course, it’s a massive train wreck. 

Darcy is trying to convince Marcy that she should trust them. But because Sasha and Anne are almost always there they can only accomplish this through underhanded life coaching. (Though when Sasha and Anne aren’t there it’s manipulation is more direct).

Sasha is a nearly fallen angel who has taken to giving beneficial but selfish advice and also physically attacking any devils that she ends up paired with. 

Anne is just trying to get Sasha back on the right path and to find a way to get rid of Darcy so Marcy can go back to a normal life.

Then Marcy who was incredibly lonely finally has a social life and people that she can get engaged in her interests. So she’s convinced this is a great thing and is scheming to make it permanent. 

And from this queue all of the comedic shenanigans that could possibly come out of it. But also Anne and Sasha helping guide Marcy into making a life for herself that she really wants rather than what everyone kept telling her she wanted. While Darcy of course tries to counteract that because they assume she searching for a very specific type of success and do not understand any other idea.

13. What's a character or ship you haven't written/drawn yet but would like to some day?

So ironically the answer here is also Sasharcy. I’m not sure how this happened but we have two Sashanne centric AUs (TOH and BotW) and two Marcanne centric ones (Witch Marcy and also BotW). But none of them have focused on Sasha and Marcy specifically (aside from post breakup in the Witch Marcy AU). It's a really interesting occurrence

Well, there is many thing i can incorporate BlitzBee into- and i do, it's my main ship and OTP.

Warframe!Bumblebee, Civil!Blitzwing and Cons Are Good AUs are the ones specifically for BlitzBee.

Part-Insecticon!Bee can also be BlitzBee. Crack AU also cna have osme romance going on. Cyberbeast AU is also a BlitzBee possibility.

I cna give you some stuff relating to either one of those of just plain on non-AU timeline i have.

Blitz loves to sculpt figurines of Bee, he especially enjoys carving out the little horns and eyes on the figurine and giving it that innocent yet divilish look. Of course, he always keeps that smirk on his faceplate when he's sculpting his aft or alt-mode's undercarriage.

Bee will never admit but he wants to be squished by Blitzwing. He's into it more than he likes but he just cannot deny the satisfacition and comfort and maybe pleasure of being pressed against his berth while Blitz lays on top of him full weight. This is the best type of cuddle they discovered so far.

In Part-Insecticon!Bee AU, Blitz helped Bee with therapy to regain control over his broken wings- he'd rub his back and massage some places if he was sore after therapy. Bee was ashamed of having his wings out like that, Blitzwing had very impressive and strong wings, he almost felt unworthy of showing what little he had to offer in return. He voiced it at some point when Blitz noticed he was sad and told him he'd love him no matter what and that wings or not don't matter. He didn't need them to make Blitz swoon for him and it won't change.

Warframe!Bee AU, Bee will defo sing viking-like songs be it from games or not. He likes to sing Skyrim's Dragonborn song when he's forging. Blitzwing will occasionally join him and they'll have fun, although Blitz can't sing for slag. He and Bee will also dance a lot- Be it slow dancing, normal boogie-woogie moving or a couple's dance. They love to dance to "For The Dancing And The Dreaming".

Whenever Optimus bakes something for the group. Bee makes sure he hides some of the treats to give to Blitzwing later. Blitz doesn't have access to any treats or fancy food except oil and some 'natural' rust sticks found in the scrap yard, so he loves when his hummel brings him something different to eat.

BlitzBee loves kisses, it's a human custom but a very enjoyable one. As one would assume they have their own version of french kiss, where Blitz would switch to his black face and shove his wormy glossa down Bee's intake. (Lucky Bee doesn't have a gag reflex cuz he ate whatever he found in trash as a Sparkling) Sometimes when Blitz is annoyed and rants about stuff Bee will leave a trail of kisses on his cheek before kissing him on the derma, which usually ends up in a make-out session and makes Blitz forget he was even upset.

Bee is very crafty, so if Blitzwing makes him figurines and sculptures of stuff ya know he's gonna return the favor. He takes broken glass, some scraps and wires and makes pretty little flowers out of them. He could even pull off stained glass picture if he really tried.

CUDDLES. Just that. They do it all the time. Literally the moment they see each other- instant hugs and cuddles. If Blitz is part of Autobot team, it's cuddles 24/7. He will not let go of Bee unless Bee really wants to. Blitz will hold Bee hostage in their berth when he wakes up at crack of dawn and make him wait for Blitz to wake up around 10. If he was repulsed to touch due to trauma before, now he can't let go.

Blitz will never tell his hummel he talks in his recharge. He'd be trying to fall into recharge himself when he hears murmurs coming from his beloved. It's so amusing, he will talk to him and actually get semi-coherent answers. He loves that if he hums, Bee will also start humming. It's like a midnight radio that he can interact with til he falls into recharge. It's also surprising cuz it apparently works to keep the nightmares away from Bee. If Bee starts to sound panicked Blitz would comfort him and he'll go back to resting peacefully.

Right now, to nobody's surprise, Gale/Devi is eating my soul. On paper, they shouldn't work -- he's an educated, wealthy, powerful mage (who makes very poor life choices), and she's a much-younger-than-him thief who grew up as an urchin on the streets of Baldur's Gate, whose only "acceptable" skill is playing a violin (apparently pickpocketing and stabbing people aren't considered widely acceptable or desirable skills?). But in all the ways that really count, they are compatible -- they're protective of each other and their friends, and Devi's street-smarts balance out Gale's book/arcane knowledge, and her feisty-ness is another counter to his more balanced way of dealing with things (read: he's 90% of her impulse control). I suppose opposites DO attract! ;)

Theron/Xaja has lived in my brain ever since Shadow of Revan dropped, in canon-verse and in at least two AU's. Theron definitely brought out a side of Xaja that isn't necessarily a proper Jedi side to show, but it's definitely her -- she's also feisty, and protective, and she's got a snarky streak to her that sings to Theron's soul. And she loves Theron's devotion to the cause, and his intelligence, and his wit.

(also, looking at Xaja and Devi... apparently I've got a TYPE when it comes to my main characters in RPGs. You should take a look at my canon Warden from DAO sometime, Lynaen... who ALSO is a redheaded dual-wielding rogue with a healthy dose of snark. At least she was raised a Cousland and didn't spend time learning how to pickpocket on the streets like the other two? #roguelifeFTW)

And I gotta talk about Reanden/Mairen too. They started on a bit of a whim when @andveryginger and I decided to throw them together for a couple of one-off kiss prompts, annnnnd now they run a good chunk of our respective brains (Reanden likes to hang out in Ginger's head a lot). Mai (Ginger's) loves Reanden's intelligence, and his dedication to his kids and the Republic, and the compassionate, caring streak he has under his sociopathic facade. First Ship

Oh man -- my very first OTP was Faramir/Eowyn from LOTR, ever since I first read the books at the ripe old age of 12 years old, and it's STILL one of my favourite ships. I think, even 20 years ago, I was seeing myself in Eowyn (as a female character, as one who wanted to fight and seek out renown, as one who, as I would discover later on in my own life, had a bucketload of mental health problems to the tune of depression), and wanted my own Faramir (gentle, noble, compassionate, intelligent). So a bit of projection there? ;) The first ship I wrote... well, I'd started a girl-falls-into-Middle-earth fic in high school, and the endgame goal was my OC with Legolas, but looking back on it now, I think my OC may have had more chemistry with Boromir. Either way, that fic has been abandoned for like 15 years -- I ain't bringing it back out to resurrect it. ;)

"Tress of the Emerald Sea" by Brandon Sanderson. I'm not too far into it, but so far I'm enjoying it! (Also, I LOVE Sanderson's writing style, and the little bits of snark he peppers in there. Current favourite line: "... he had a jaw so straight that it made other men question if they were.")

Last Film

In theatres -- "Argylle", which I enjoyed! I wouldn't class it as a "favourite" movie, but it was fun! At home (read: at Chez Boyfriend), it was "RED" -- that's one of my favourites. Bruce Willis and Karl Urban snarking at each other... =D (Karl is also my faceclaim for Reanden, and that movie was a big inspiration!)

Nothing at the moment! I have my coffee and I have a big-ass Costco-sized muffin that I'm working on before I go for my tattoo appointment. (Also, Part 1 of my tax return came in last week... I could get ALL the groceries, thank God! Part 2 is dropping on Thursday, for all the backpay after the CRA applied the ADHD disability credit to my previous years... My friend approached me a while back like "I've been making dumb OTP questions if you want to answer some." And I was like "Hell yeah, shoot." So I thought I'd share my answers, since they were all InuKag ones. I had an absurd amount of fun thinking about these, cuz that's just how my brain works, apparently. ---- Q: If Kagome and Inuyasha were shiny [Pokemon], what color hair/eyes would they have? Inuyasha can't just be black. A: Hmmm... I guess Inuyasha would be gold since everyone tries to say his hair is silver, not white. Like full on sparkly metallic gold. Kagome can be blue because:

Q: If they were a season, what season is either one? A: Inuyasha is spring cuz he has a lot of energy and the "rebirth" theme with him being sealed and then brought back. Kagome is autumn because the manga starts in autumn which means it's her birthday, and she's vibrant but sensible like the colorful leaves without being OVERLY vibrant like spring would be. Q: What gemstone would either be? A: I think Inuyasha would be rose quartz because it reminds me of a heart and he's a loving boi who got ended and revived by different loves, and gets his strength from it because he's more capable of feeling it thanks to being half human. Kagome I think would be jade because it has healing and protection qualities and she's got spiritual powers and is usually the medic throughout the whole series. Plus her green school uniform aesthetic. Q: What is their favorite weather? A: Inuyasha likes it just after it rains because there are tons of different unearthed smells. Kagome likes light rain because the sound helps her focus and she gets an excuse to stay inside and be lazy with hot tea or baths. Q: What music genre does either seem to prefer? A: I think Inuyasha would like reggae or soft rock because that's what dogs are supposed to like according to studies, LOL. But they have a beat that appeals to his more upbeat energy while also being able to lull him into relaxing. I think Kagome would also like those genres but might have a soft spot for traditional Japanese music and mantras because she grew up in a shrine so she probably heard them through her childhood more than others might. Q: If they were a Pokemon, what type(s) would they be? A: Hmmm... Inuyasha would be Ground Type because he's named after a nature spirit and most of his attacks are wind-based, with another being diamonds, so very earthy. Maybe mixed with Dark Type because his final move is literally opening a portal to Hell, and because he turns human based on the moon cycle. Kagome is Fairy/Grass because of the whole holy powers and herb healing. (And Grass and Fairy both have the most healing type moves.) Q: What type of herb/plant would they be? A: Kagome is a yarrow because of the arrow pun and it meaning "healing, protection, and everlasting love". Inuyasha is an olive tree because he was literally looking for peace and friendship his entire life and like the whole dove thing he found it after a long wait. Q: What zodiac sign are they? A: Kagome is a Taurus and Inuyasha is an Aries. Cuz the colors AND the personality traits match up. ---- I love these types of questionnaires, and if anyone has different answers, I'd love to hear them!

Yeah, there’s definitely a problem

I have been in the Sarah J Maas ‘fandom” for four years, and only recently did I realize that there is, indeed, issues with her writing. It comes after starting Throne of Glass for the first time. I’m not going to do a deep, deep dive of criticisms, but I will address some general things that I found wrong in TOG. 

Okay, let’s start with the numerous love interests Celaena/Aelin had. She had Sam, Dorian, Chaol, and Rowan, as well as other male characters who were either into her, or she into them. That’s, like, Mary Sue territory right there. Sam, Dorian, and Chaol should have been enough. Her relationship with Sam was the sweet, but tragic, first young love kind. Dorian could have been the attractive, fun flirtation type. And Chaol...poor Chaol. Chaolaena should have been endgame. Their relationship was solidly built like many endgamers. They had their issues, for sure (get to that in a second). This is likely going to be controversial, but the whole Nehemiah thing was blown way out of proportion. I understand that Nehemiah was her truest friend, but the lengths of resentment and antagonism there were unnecessary. Chaol was captain of the guard. He was not obligated to tell Celaena certain things. She shouldn’t hold that against him, or anyone, in that position, regardless if she’s in a relationship with him. And, when it was revealed that Nehemiah arranged everything, Celaena’s feelings should have lessened greatly.

Then there is Chaol’s hang-up with Celaena’s magic. Herein lies some of the inconsistencies. When she goes through that portal, it is described that Chaol was exhibiting both horror and awe. Awe, to me, does not seem like a negative reaction. Soon after, he tells her that he doesn’t care that she is an assassin or a Fae. It seems believable at that time. Is it possible that he was just saying that, or trying to convince himself? Sure, but it’s apparent he still loves her, and tells her as much. Maybe he was willing to try, to accept it. However, he does a 360, at times, during HoF. The characterizations in that book go back and forth. Drives me nuts. Don’t get me started on QoS. I’m only going to say it once: Chaol knew who Celaena was, and it should not have scandalized him by how violent she could be. And most of the time, he still cared for her no matter what. 

It doesn’t take a genius to say that Chaol and Celaena have issues. He grew thinking magic was a bad thing, and that was only heightened when he became captain of the guard for an evil king. Also, being captain, he was against lawlessness, which she had represented. Celaena, on the other hand, had deep, deep trauma. So much so, she kept it hidden for a long time without talking about it. Super unhealthy. I might go so far as saying she has DID, or in the very least, PTSD. It didn’t help that Arobynn basically encouraged it, not to mention that in-book things happened to push her down further, triggering her. Had she been raised in a different foster home, it’s possible she could have dealt with those situations in more healthy ways. And, honestly, Chaol should have understood that the way Celaena turned out to be was not entirely her fault. She was, in fact, groomed by Arobynn.

Like I iterated earlier, Chaolaena has all the qualities of an endgame, more specifically, my OTP of book OTPs, Romitri. There is a headstrong, fiery young woman who must train with an older, respected mentor who gets rather annoyed by her antics. Slowly but surely, they come to respect one another and build a kind of camaraderie, and a strong bond. And they’re both stubborn, passionate people, with him being such a stickler for obedience to his occupation, it gets in the way of his own happiness. But eventually they overcome it, and enter into an all-consuming relationship, where they’re both willing to sacrifice everything for one another. Of course, there must be a conflict that will test the strength of their relationship. The conflict for Chaolaena comes relatively sooner than I would have liked. 

If there had to be separation between these two, a book’s length would have been okay. They could have spent some time apart, working through their own crap. Then when their paths would inevitably cross again, things would obviously be a little intense. They could rip into each other to their heart’s content, until they get tired of fighting. Let it rest, cool tempers and whatnot. Maybe there is a bit more truth-telling, but with better level-headedness. That could ultimately lead into a makeout session, realizing that if they truly love each other (which they totally did), they can come to an understanding/compromise; can get through any problem. The going at one another did start right away in QoS, but then it went to heck. It was all right there for the taking. But noooo.

You know, if SJM really wanted Celaena to have a special relationship with Rowan, she could left it at carranam. Someone like no other who can handle her magic, but yet he knows his place before a queen; she is free to boss him around, and not have him question her. Perhaps he could be her capta of the guard. Or, she could have simply sworn him to the blood oath. If she had such strong ties to her cousin, why couldn’t Aedion be carranam? It’d make a lot more sense and would be more special. And the mating bond thing? The proof was there from the beginning that Chaolena was IT, and was formed. Why can’t have there been a bond between one normal person and a magical being? Also, I’m so ticked that Chaolaena was boiled down to a “healing” relationship. Like, no, it was more than that, and you know it.

I have heard that because of ACOTAR’s burgeoning success and popularity, SJM changed the narrative of TOG. But I don’t necessarily buy that. I looked at the publishing date for QoS and ACOTAR. Both are 2015. I don’t think fan influence could have been gauged so quickly. The inconsistencies already started in HoF before nosediving in QoS.

Nevertheless, SJM really and truly done messed up.

It was the perfect romance, two people who had lived together for so long and been by each other side but instead…a new character was introduced and took it away from her! And now Stelle would just have to listen to her talk about this for a while. All while March was trying to find fanfics on her phone to make up for it.

STELLE WAS NOT REALLY THE TYPE to read much things. sure, if enough things piqued their interest then maybe they would pick it up but even the certainty of them FINISHING it is a blurry one. they took in all of her ramblings, allowing march to complain as much as she wanted to about her silly little romance novel which, apparently, just met an UNSATISFYING conclusion. they are sure that if they had follow suit with her recommendation to read it a few days before, they would be just as annoyed which is why they are partially thankful of this habit of theirs put off as much things as possible. they sneak a look at the title of her book, mentally noting to not pick it up later on if it starts with the perfect pairing only for some other guy to sweep the main lead away. humming, they rest against her plushies and such. being in march's room was nice. not only was it organized but it was also familiar and felt a lot like home.

1. Favourite thing about them:

God, everything. He dribbles like no one dribbles in modern football anymore. He's more than a winger, he is a true playmaker. I really do love myself a versatile attacking player with great, beautiful technique.

Apart from that? His fluffy messy hair, his shy little raspy voice, his baby cow eyes... I am not okay 😭

2. Least favourite thing:

Do I have one? I don't know, I am a type of person to find it really funny even when he dives or lashes out on other players. I support his wrongs 😂.

7. Random headcanon:

Moving to Serie A made him much more comfortable with sexuality in general. From enjoying physical touch with his male friends to slowly thirst trapping us by showing more and more of his body (the rolled up shorts 🥵).

He knows how to cook and bake. After I saw a video of him baking khachapuri in some TV programme, I imagine him bringing some food he made to trainings in Napoli, and sharing with the team (to the horror of his teammates' personal agents who planned out their diets 😂).

That's two headcanons.

8. Unpopular opinion:

I'm afraid he's not going to have a great career in football beyond what he already has. I know a lot of Kvara fans would be angry with me for that, but it's just... His opponents in Serie A learnt how to read him and his signature moves. If he doesn't get more creative, he'll turn mediocre. Maybe Napoli in general in this season is also to blame for Kvara not shining as bright as he used to.
