"𝙰 𝚜𝚑𝚢 𝚌𝚛𝚞𝚜𝚑"
࿐ character(s): Ushijima Wakatoshi, Daichi Sawamura, Kuroo Tetsurou
࿐ genre: sfw, soft/fluff, comfort, tiny angst if you squint
࿐ type: headcanons (hcs)? / imagine
࿐ requested by: @dumpsterfireinc
⌦ shymale!reader (he/him)
⌦ ‘if I can request comfort hcs for Ushijima, Daichi, Kuroo, and Oikawa who have a crush on as shy male!reader who thinks the boys should be with a girl and not him.’
A/N: i had to drop oikawa on this one since i cant seem to get his personality out?? i- uh-. i apologize- also my way of writing hcs is weird? idk why i like writing like that, but eventually they’ll shift- somehow- (i’ll probably make a proper hcs post if you want-)
1-16-2021: sorry in advanced if this took waaay to long. im doubting my writings. kinda shit but im just burnt out.
𝚄𝚜𝚑𝚒𝚓𝚒𝚖𝚊:
❀ Ushijima had a crush on you. of course he would, someone so soft, gentle, and shy. he actually found it cute you having those aspects. even though not a lot of people would enjoy such an introverted person at times.
❀ being shy would fit well together with his own personality generally. like being stoic and quiet himself. at some points he genuinely thought you and him were perfect. just two puzzle pieces that could fit together.
❀ he doesn’t know when he had a crush on you till Tendou or someone would bring it up. cause he always somehow had his eyes on you in the halls, classes, etc.
❀ adding on to his personality, he is very blunt and straightforward with his words. and when you heard those three words from the intimidating captain. made your heart skip a beat, muscles tense, and mind race.
❀ “..y-you.. like me??” the softened tone in your voice echoed within the empty afterschool halls.
❀ “Yes. I just stated that.”
❀ “..I heard you.. you dummy..” you muttered the last words softly. fiddling with your fingers nervously, he always found you fidgeting with something whenever you were nervous or put on the spot. your gaze kept low.
❀ the silence only just settled. making Ushijima await another word from your smaller figure.
❀ but he didn’t expect those words to slip out of your mouth. he never did.
❀ “Why.. Why would you want to be with me.. instead.” your voice still kept your softened tone, but it had a faint hint of sadness. the slight wavering of your voice gave way.
❀ “..isn’t it better to be.. with a girl instead? t-they’re better options. pretty. talented. i-i don’t.. have any of those.”
❀ Ushijima just stared, unsure on what to do. no one told him this would be a scenario or a possibility. thought it was simply just a yes or no to a confession, something quick.
❀ “You also won’t l-look.. weird.. o-odd.. with-” your voice cracked, tears gathered in your eyes. quickly wiping them away with a sniff.
❀ “F-fuck I’m sorry.. for c-crying..” softly cursing as you nervously laughed.
❀ “y/n,” Ushijima lifted your head gently with his hand making sure your eyes looked up at him, “..I don’t care, if people will look at us weirdly. I don’t care if they all knew or not.”
❀ he wiped the tears dripping from your eyes as you stared at him with disbelief.
❀ “I like you. No- I love you. That’s that. I love y/n, and nothing will stop that.”
❀ shortly, tears poured from your eyes from his words. softly murmuring apologizes for crying over this accompanied w/ a smile on your face. Ushijima just wiping your tears away for you, seeing how your face just melts in his hand in comfort. regaining composure after a couple of reassurances from him.
❀ “I-I.. I love you.. t-too.. Wakatoshi..”
𝙳𝚊𝚒𝚌𝚑𝚒:
❀ mans had a big crush on you ever since you both had multiple shared classes. especially same homeroom.
❀ Daichi and you had an decent relationship, it wasn’t as close like he has with Sugawara or Asahi. having the same homeroom, he always found you alone and minding your own business a desk or two behind him in the back.
❀ sometimes exchanging the simple hellos and small talk whenever Suga and/or Asahi dared him to. knowing how his eyes occasionally drifts towards your direction of the room.
❀ for someone so quiet.. he didn’t know it could be a cute feature. an adorable one if he would say so himself. just seems too s o f t .
❀ your gentle voice always made his heart skip a beat, it was so calming. a remedy to his ears. after a few small talks and interactions, you both managed to hang out a little more often. being invited on study dates sessions since you were also pretty smart in the academics (brownie points!)
❀ as of right now, his eyes were simply glued on you. just watching you talk about whatever subject. he really wasn’t paying attention... or at all. admiring your features from across the small table on the floor that was littered with notebooks, textbooks, papers and pens.
❀ he knew you were shy so he often kept things low and safe for you whenever you both hung out once in awhile. sometimes exchanging little sticky notes with each other to limit talking.
❀ once he confessed to you, through the last sticky note of his. not a manly way to really confess but he couldn’t figure anything else out for you. didnt want to scare you away.
❀ you stared up at the captain in slight doubt, going back to the note to reread the words written. ‘would you like to go out with me?’ tiny hearts here and there on the note.
❀ looking back up at him, you noticed the slight blush across his face. you realized he was serious.
❀ “..why would you want to go out with me?” your grip on the note slightly tightened, as thoughts began to flood your mind. “wouldn’t it be better- be better with a girl?? a-and.. not me.” you began to slip on your words, gaze slipping down to avoid his eyes as you noticed him looking up at you now.
❀ “..with.. a girl?” Daichi mustered out.
❀ “or.. anyone but... me. I’m not.. popular. I’m not.. p-pretty, c-cute.. handsome.. s-smart either...” you began to ramble, negative thoughts after another.
❀ “H-hey y/n. y/n..!” Daichi was closer to you now, his hands on your shoulders hoping to get you out of your negative trance.
❀ it successfully worked, making you stop but your gaze still remain low. hearing a sigh from Daichi made you tensed, you liked him too. you loved him. but you don’t know if it was best for him to date you. or be in a relationship in that matter.
❀ Daichi wrapped his arms around you, “Don’t be so harsh to yourself. I denied most of the confessions... j-just.. to ask you out one day you know. I’m confident I want you more than any girl.” he muttered.
❀ noticing you relaxing in his arms made him slightly smile, feeling you hug back. your hands grasping the back of his gakuran, mustering the urge to cry you hid your face on his shoulders. eventually muffling out your soft sobs and various ‘i love you too’
𝙺𝚞𝚛𝚘𝚘:
𝚊/𝚗: 𝚐𝚘𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚐𝚒𝚏 𝚑𝚊𝚜 𝚖𝚎 𝚚𝚞𝚊𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐.
❀ it was obvious Kuroo was crushing on someone. and that someone was you. being one of the assistances, or at this point the team would’ve eventually called you their manager. often there to aid and help whenever needed so you stumbled by the gym many times to either drop something off for one of the members or coaches.
❀ always teasing and flirting with you, which wasn’t such an out-of-character of him. knowing him to be the master of provocation. but often when you weren’t there, he would start talking about you. unconsciously sometimes.
❀ which gave a big sign of his feelings, especially through Kenma. it wasn’t so hard to see, but you were dense and oblivious over it.
❀ he knew you liked him back eventually, seeing how you haven’t turned him down with any of his teases accompanied with the slight blush on your face each time. you were just too shy to say anything about it.
❀ he was aware that you were very shy and introverted. always seeing you staying back or infront of crowds in the hallway and avoided them at all costs. being observant he took note of it.
❀ always managing to catch you away from people or just a little people in the area, he used that time to talk to you more privately.
❀ you both began to get to know each other pretty well each time.
❀ exchanging interests and moments you’ve had in your life. often making you giggle at his silly retorts and remarks, funny moments of his teams and others. he was genuinely seeing a new side of you.
❀ never really seeing you smile brightly and laugh without holding back. it felt surreal and a literal dream.
❀ “Hey, y/n, have you dated anyone yet?” Kuroo looked over at you, eyes staring in curiosity with his common sly smirk.
❀ “I-.. uhh.. n-not yet?” you nervously laughed, messing with the sleeve of your nekoma track jacket.
❀ “Well then.. do you have a crush?” he continued on.
❀ “O-oh.. Ye-yeah! He probably won’t like me b-back though..” you murmured.
❀ “Wait- He!?”
❀ “H-hey,, Kuroo! Keep y-your voice down please..!!” you playfully punched his shoulder in return he faked an ‘ow’ “..b-but.. yes.. i like a guy.. h-he’s popular so i doubt he would like me b-back.” you looked up at him with a weak smile, hoping to not seemed phased by it.
❀ “Ahhh.. why’s that then.” his curious tone turned stern, tilting his head into his palm so it rested comfortably. “hmmm~?”
❀ “Oh.. w-well.. he’s popular with the girls.. a lot of them a-actually. I bet he l-likes them more than me.. girls are b-better for him anyways...”
❀ “What if they weren’t? He could be gay.. or bisexual... or pan and all that jazz y’know y/n?”
❀ “Thats true.. what about you kuroo-san?” you took a sip of water from your bottle aside of your thigh.
❀ “I have a crush too of course. And its actually you.”
❀ you choked on the water, coughing out a reply, “w-wait you.. you like me.. me- back?!” you only looked at him with disbelief, coughing slightly still.
❀ Kuroo only laughed at your off-guard reaction, “K-kuroo!! I-it’s not funnyyy..!” you whined, covering your face with your jacket. “hhhh.. g-god damnit..”
❀ after a few moments it went silently, peeking your eyes out from your hidden position Kuroo pecked your forehead. Suddenly aside of you, entwining his hand with yours.
❀ “Of course I like you back~ I want you to be my boyfriend you softie.”

Izzy and alec sibs headcanon if you have any and have an amazing day
no anon, YOU have an amazing day! dxuhaisdha
ok idk about headcanons because i think it's more that i appreciate their relationship in canon than that i have headcanons? like i said a few asks ago though there is a lot more id like to see explored in their relationship, particularly them figuring out their miscommunications and acting-in-the-name-of-each-other issues
so yeah i like to think that they eventually have a talk about that? even if it's like a few years later that it finally comes up. because while i think izzy kind of realized how much alec was shielding him from the lightwood's expectations i don't think alec ever figured out that izzy kept trying to rebel so alec could see that he could, too, and how she just wanted him to accept himself, basically
so it would be nice to see this talk happening and these things actually being said and the both of them realizing that if they had just communicated and worked together the whole time instead of assuming what the other needed and trying to take these stereotypical roles for them they would have probably gotten somewhere a lot faster and hurt each other a lot less lol. also like, alec really has to learn how to work with the people he loves instead of in their name, so i think he’d benefit a lot from this talk
other than that uhhh
i think part of the reason izzy misunderstood alec's struggle with coming out so much (i.e. thinking that he was in denial) was because she was projecting, lol. and when like after years and years izzy realized that all her comments about girls and her lowkey over-the-top investment in alec's love life/having alec accept himself were really not as straight as she thought, she is like. ah shit. so I was the one in denial the whole time? and alec just smiles and pats her shoulders like "glad you caught up, iz"
she never hears the end of it. The Revenge Of Alec. literally getting on her ass all damn day throwing in jokes about accepting herself and "being open" and all and she's like "OKAY alec i get it i'm sorry!!"
in all seriousness though, i like to think that they actually talked about all the s1 shit. kinda similar to that other talk about acting in the name of each other (honestly i think it's hard to talk about one without talking about the other) and izzy saying that she thought alec was a denial case and alec saying that he felt like izzy was trying to force him to come out when he COULDN'T and it made him feel kind of terrified. and izzy apologizing for making him feel like that, you know?
alec eventually starts going with her to her narcotics anonymous meetings. not all the time ofc because izzy needs to be able to have her own space where she can talk without the presence of anyone she knows, but sometimes. so alec can get educated and on days when it's particularly hard for her. having the support of her big brother always helps
for so long izzy was the only source of like... actual good touch and warmth and just affection, you know? and i think they are very tactile. we did get to see some of that in the show (name ONE other person alec has hugged. other than magnus who is his literal boyfriend/husband, and even then i think they might have hugged less than alec and izzy did) but i think they are actually even more tactile when there are no eyes on them. izzy comes visit alec in the loft and magnus goes to the living room to find alec and izzy full on spooning, alec carressing izzy's hair like it's the most normal thing in the world
they are used to having to stop when other ppl come, particulalrly family, tho (remember when maryse caught izzy and max playing and acted like it was a crime?) so like they are a little jumpy. but with parents who denied them affection (or had it be conditional to them doing shit they wanted, in alec's case) and sh's gross no-touching culture, they needed each other for that and they always could get comfort in each other
i mentioned max and i just ugh i loved izzy so much in her scenes with him and i think alec would be so proud of what a good big sister she is?? and she's like "i'm just trying to be like you" and he's like "shut up" but pulls her into a hug
not really a headcanon but we overlook the fact that with their height difference alec can rest his chin on the top of her head (if she's in heels LMAOOOO)?????? like dude. dude. D U EDE
part of the reason izzy wears heels all the time is because she just can't stand her and alec's height difference. WHY did he hoard all the tall??? it's humiliating enough when she's in heels but without heels she's like hitting his navel or some shit and she will NOT! PUT UP! WITH THIS! so she wears heels all the time and if she could she would walk around in those giant wooden sticks clowns use sometimes, you know the ones
every once in a while izzy gets back on her Teaching Alec How To Dance project and every time it is a nightmare
the +1 is when alec asks her for help to teach him how to dance for his wedding. please iz for the love of god no crazy stuff we're not gonna salsa just teach me how not to step on his feet all the time
when she stops trying to make the impossible happen she's actually a pretty good teacher
alec has a lot more fun with it than he lets on
alec's never paid a lot of attention to izzy's flings cuz they're, you know... flings for the most part, but when she starts to actually date (polycule? polycule) he becomes insufferably protective. ESPECIALLY when it comes to clary
*sits clary down for a lesson called "how to care about people other than yourself: a simple guide to not being a selfish bitch with my sister". it features a slideshow. with animation*
once izzy officially comes out as bi it's pretty hard and emotional for her and alec hugs her and she's all "i couldn't have done it without you. thank you for being so strong" and aaaaa
they used to wrestle a lot when they were kids and izzy would kick his ass every time
ok i think that's all i've got for now but hhhh there is plenty of other stuff tbh i just no thoughts head empty

Would love to read the longer insecure Leo fic day if you feel like finishing it. If not it’s totally cool no pressure or anything. 🙂 I love your writing and all the o’knutzy feels!
hhhh so I wrote this so long ago tbh I don’t think I’m going to finish it
If someone actually wants me to finish it just send in an ask and I’ll try to but as of right now this is about as good as it’s going to get okay? (it could just be the fact that it’s 2am and I don’t wanna hurt leo rn lol) This is just like a v long wip that serves no real purpose. as also characters belong to @lumosinlove
---
Leo woke up to a cold bed. He sat up, yawning. Blearily he looked around, raising his hands to attempt to rub some of the sleep from his eyes. He leaned over, grabbing his phone from the nightstand, checking for any unread messages from either Logan or Finn. The time read 8:12, far too early for Logan to be awake. Finn, maybe.
He glanced up, hearing the distinct sound of the toilet flushing before a very tired Logan stumbled out. He laughed, his voice rough with sleep, as Logan came back, falling onto the bed. His hair splayed across his pillow, and his eyes looked up to meet Leo’s.
He raised his arm, grabbing onto Leo’s sleeve, trying to tug him back to bed, lightly. Leo went willingly, curling himself around Logan, who had his head buried in Leo’s chest.
“Mph, stay,” Logan muttered, his eyes already slipping closed, content on sleeping their day away. Leo smiled, placing a soft kiss on the top of Logan’s head.
“D’accord.” He whispered, they’d find Finn later. It wasn’t unusual for him to go for a run in the morning anyways. Leo laid there, toying with Logan’s hair as he felt him relax completely, soft snores coming from the boy.
He smiled as Logan shifted again, subconsciously pushing himself further into Leo.
The next time Leo woke up, it was to the front door closing. Logan whined in his sleep, shifting slightly, when the noise woke him. He kept his eyes closed, shuffling closer to Leo and pushing his head further into his pillow. Leo shushes him quietly, waiting for him to go back to sleep. After a moment, he heard Logan’s breath even out again and he sighed in relief.
He felt someone watching them, looking up, he saw Finn standing in the doorway with a soft smile playing at his lips. Leo beckoned him over, silently telling him to come back to the bed, with a small nod with his head. Finn smiled but shook his head.
“I’m all sweaty,” he whispered. Which was true, it was evident he had just come back from his morning run. “I’m going to go shower.” He spoke softly, mostly not to wake Logan, and removed his airpods.
Leo nodded, glancing at the clock, 8:56 am, before burying his face back into Logan’s hair. He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. Once again, he lets the sleep take over, relaxing them as they waste their day away.
It’s not long before he feels the bed dip behind him, and Finn’s warm body and wet hair lay along his back. His smile lingered on his lips, turning to kiss Finn softly, before finally letting the sleep take over, knowing his two boys were safe, there with him.
Nothing. Honestly, nothing happened. He was fine, the day had gone perfect. He didn’t have practice and got to spend the day sleeping with his boys. He was happy, he was so so happy.
But why was that familiar dread settling in his chest? Why did he feel like it was wrong, everything he was doing was wrong with that nagging feeling telling him he wasn’t good enough? He shifted, which made Logan stir and look up at him with his wide green eyes blinking up blearily at him.
Leo tried to shush him and get him to go back to sleep, but Logan had seen his sad face, and before he knew it Logan was sitting up, looking at him concerned.
“Peanut? Vas tu bien?” he asks, searching Leo’s face for something that tells him what’s wrong. Leo opened and closed his mouth, before taking a shaky breath.
“Je vais bien, C’est bon.” He hates the way his voice wavered at the end, cracking slightly. Logan’s eyes softened, taking Leo’s face into his hands.
“Knutty,” he mumbled. He placed a soft kiss to his forehead, then his nose, then both his cheeks before finally landing one on his lips. Leo tried to smile, he really did, but he couldn’t keep it up for long.
Logan stretched out his arms, letting Leo lean into him as he hugged him close.
This time a small smile actually did ghost Leo’s lips. Logan and Finn always knew how to help him, even if they didn’t use words to communicate. He doesn’t know how long they sat there, with Logan holding him as he tried to ignore the voices in his head nagging at him. Telling him he wasn’t good enough, that he didn’t deserve their love.
He isn’t even sure when the tears started slipping down his cheeks, but they must have because he felt Logan hugging him tighter. Leo goes to apologize, for being such a mess and for crying. But he can’t even get the words out before he feels a warm weight fall against his back and a pair of strong arms wrapping around his shoulders.
“Mph,” Finn mutters, his voice groggy and rough with sleep as he buries his face in Leo’s neck. Leo sniffs, trying to stop his tears before Finn notices. But Finn hears with his head being so close to Leo’s and his head snaps up. He takes in the tear stains on his cheeks and the damp spot on Logan’s shirt.
And it happens so quickly, where Finn has climbed off his back and is sitting in front of him, raking his finger through Leo’s hair.
“Baby?” He asks, not exactly knowing what's going on, but was definitely not expecting to wake up to Leo crying. “What’s wrong, what happened? Are you okay, are you hurt? Did we do something? Are you...” He trailed off, watching Leo shake his head frantically instead of answering his questions.
Finn quietens down, letting Leo get his thoughts into words, to explain what's wrong so Finn can hold him, and take care of him, because he loves him so, so much and it kills him a little more when Leo starts to slip. He’s right there, he's right there, but he seems so far away. It feels like Leo is slipping through his fingers, and Finn is so scared that one day he won’t be able to grasp on and pull him back in.
That he’ll lose the funny and smart man, that he’ll let the depression take over. He’s scared he’ll stop fighting it and he’ll drift. He’ll drift and become a shell, and he can’t count how many times he’s fallen asleep crying into Logan's arms because he doesn’t want to lose him.
He can’t lose him.
And he barely hears the muttered apology escape from Leo’s lips, and he would have if he weren’t so hyper-aware of everything Leo was doing. Waiting for the hitched breath that showed he couldn’t hold it back anymore, and Finn could pull him into his arms until he cried himself back to sleep, and Logan went to make some tea and order take out.
Because everyone knows that they can’t cook, and they don’t need to add to Leo’s stress by making him help clean it up. He just needs them by his side, ready to help him, to show him the love that brought him together.
And Finn hates that Leo feels this way, that he isn’t good enough. He hates that Leo tries to push them away, that he thinks he’s a burden and a nuisance. They’ve learned the best way to help him over the past few months have caught up to him.
The recent news of his father's sickness, with playoffs right around the corner. Loops pulling Kasey from the next couple of games for the pulled hamstring. It was too much, it proved too much when it started pushing Leo.
They could see it happening, Leo waking up earlier to hit the gym before practice, staying late after to add in some more training. The need that he had to feel good enough, to feel like he had to prove something because of his age. That broke both Logans and Finn's heart watching him work and work and work. Draining himself, when he couldn’t see how good he really was.
Leo was fidgeting with the duvet on the bed, pulling at the loose, frayed string on the end. He sniffed, once, then twice, before the dam broke. He angrily tried to wipe away at the tears rolling down his cheeks, biting his lip to try and clench the sobs that were bubbling up. But he couldn’t, he was fighting a losing battle and was giving in.
They acted on instinct, Finn catching Leo as he fell into his chest, the heart wrenching sobs ripping themselves from his throat. Finn embraced him, holding him tightly, never going to be ready to let go. Logan moved to his side, rubbing his back, placing a kiss to his temple and his cheek every few minutes.
“Désolé, Je suis désolé, I’m sorry,” Leo sobbed.
He hates being like this, feeling useless, so utterly vulnerable. The way he was falling apart, with too many thoughts rushing through his head. His heart was beating erratically, his breaths uneven and shallow. He grasped onto Finn’s shirt, knuckles turning white as his hands shook with the material in between his fingers. His lips trembled, the oxygen seemingly impossible to get to his lungs.
Finn hugged tighter, whispering in his ear.
“Baby, don’t apologize. Never apologize for this. I just want to be there for you, we both do. Let us be there for you. Knutty, baby, we’d cross oceans for you.”
Logan nodded in agreement, delivering another kiss into his blonde curls. Leo let it sink it, not exactly believing it, but hoping that maybe, it could be true.
He fell asleep there, the tears track drying on his cheeks.
That last thing he heard was Logans whispered, “I love you,” before he let the darkness take over.
Leo could feel his breath picking up, the inward panic settling in his chest. He wasn’t sure why this affected him so much. He huffed, wiping at his eyes angrily where he could feel the tears forming.
“Baby?” He heard the door creak open, Finn’s voice calling over all the voices in his head. He wasn’t sure why it was hitting him so hard right now. He knew he had depression, he had it since he was young. He would scoff at himself when he let it win, feeling utterly useless, and wanting to do better.
He felt like nothing he did was enough. Not enough for him, or his parents, or for Finn and Logan.
The bed dipped beside him, feeling Finn’s warm hand cupping his cheeks, and turning his face towards him. Finn made a confused noise, whipping at the tears rolling down Leo’s cheeks.
He hadn’t even realized they fell. He just felt so numb.
“I brought you some food,” he said softly, like if he said it any louder it would’ve broken him. And quite honestly, it probably would have. Days like this, it made him feel horrible when Finn and Logan had to bring him food, or water, or do anything for him that he should be able to do himself.
He gave Finn a wavering smile in return, which slipped off his face as quickly as it appeared. Gosh, why did he feel like such a fuck up? He took the plate from Finn, placing it in front of him on the bed.
Finn and Logan knew he wouldn’t be able to stomach anything rich right now. Even then, the toast on the plate seemed absolutely revolting right now, just the thought of food made him nauseous.

It's always kind of hard to identify what makes one's style different huh, but if I had to say what I most like about yours is the way you draw your complex lines without losing any readability, its most clear when you draw long flowing hair and in your OC's arm as well!
I totally get what you mean with coloring digitally, coloring is one of the main reasons I haven't done traditional art in a looong while.
From your Question Game: Sitri, Aizen
I think those haven't been asked yet?
I mean, I DO have a tendency to do complex things and make my life harder by making those lines for the hair 😂😂 but it makes me satisfied looking at them in the end so it'd a give and take situation
No doubt, what said made me realize it's one of the prominent features I have in every artwork skskksksks
Okay but for real, I was SO confused on what you mean by my OC's arm and thinking SO SO HARD on what was so complex on my Summoner's arm until then. I realized. You were referring Darius 😂😂
Maybe my art style is overcomplicating lines or just over detailed line works skksksksk (also please excuse the cake she has in that one picture- I swear the main focus was her tattoos and the dragon which was cropped off and not her asscheeks 😂-)
I rarely do coloured traditional artwork because they end up looking not as good as the sketch so it pains me hhhh (´;︵;`) but yeah, I really like sketching in traditional because it feels much more natural(? I have no idea but this is what I feel, like nyoom nyoom my hand go brrr- oh no I smudged a line FUCK- that sort of thing 😂)
Also time for the Housamo Ask Game!~✨✨
Note, this is going to get pretty lengthy so I apologize for that (。•́︿•̀。)
[Sitri]
Someone who I look up to when I was younger? Hmmmmm, hard to say because I admired a LOT of people when I was younger, even if it was the most simplest of things. For example, someone being able to cook a certain dish, someone who can tackle on multiple tasks and etc etc. 😂 I was a kid that get excited at almost everything so I tend to try to do what everyone does. You're cooking? Well, I'm gonna cook too!! (A 6 year old little girl who couldn't even reached the sink yet-)
Fun fact, I started drawing because my second sister watched anime and started to draw so me being the a mazed little sister I am, I quickly followed in her footsteps. Usually siblings would bond over that kind of thing but unfortunately not for me and my sister 😂
She absolutely hated my guts that time and she hated me even more once I started to follow what she was doing. Basically calling me a impersonator/copy cat and she would throw a fit if I was drawing anywhere near her when she was drawing.
Though along the way, she eventually stopped drawing when she had reached high school while young me continued to draw anyway. At first, the reason why I wanted to draw was because that I wanted to get praises from my sisters since during my childhood, they would shoo me off and they would play only between themselves, making me having to play with my mom most of the time or just plain watch the tv the entire day.
I was constantly drawing something everyday and every moment I had the chance, simply because I wanted to get better so that my second sis would acknowledge me. This lead up to being the hobby of drawing ingrained into me, the simply hobby now fully a part of me and my childhood.
I vividly remembered where during in primary school, we were having an art test where we would have to draw a flamingo and of course since I was the quiet art kid in class, some of the popular young girls begged me to draw the flamingos for them which I then profusely refused since cheating was a bad thing. Though I'd wish that young me wouldn't have been so easily scared by the threat of them not being friends with me anymore ( ;∀;)
In the end, I ended up drawing for half of the class in secret and got scolded by the teacher for drawing for them (she said something along the lines of 'You can't help other people! They should do their own!' like Miss, why are you getting angry at me :( I was 6 + this wasn't the first time the popular girls cheated, it also happened during English test and they kept bothering me about the answers, same threat btw)
Now that I'm older, I don't have anyone specific that I look up to but I look up to anyone in general. Like, I'd admire someone who takes up their courage to do things they were scared of doing or someone who's confident in their abilities when they're usually so shy like yeah!! I admire you so much!!! It maybe insignificant but to me it might have been the most extraordinary thing!
[Aizen]
What ticks me off but not for others? Hard question 😂
I don't get mad easily but when I do, it's just a short while before I go back to normal, the only thing you're going to witness me being angry is just not talking to you for a certain amount of time, completely avoiding you and staying in another different room 😂 then once I cool off, I'm back to being to a annoying rat skskksskks
Though, if I were to really answer this properly, I think what ticks me off the most when someone just cuts me off while I'm talking and tells me that I'm being too loud. I know that this thing would probably tick anyone off if they can't help controlling their voice volume-
I can make my voice really loud when I want it to be without even straining my throat 😂 One time, I was calling out to my fellow art members who was across the field which in turn I had to make my voice a bit louder.
This caused one of the passing group students (they're somewhat troublemakers sksksks) following suite of trying to call them (they were mocking me) and this whole shouting thing made one of the disciplinary teachers come out of her office and yelled at the group of students, telling them they were being too loud and they were causing a ruckus (ngl I was scared shitless but like internal happy dance because I didn't get scolded by her 😂 Still feel bit bad tho for them)
Eventually, the fellow art members saw and heard us from a distance and came right over, promptly saying that my voice could be hear across the field (they can also hear my voice from the 2nd floor too)
Thank you for sending an ask in!! Another thing is that, so sorry for talking too much- I tend to get carried away with these kinds of things since I'm too much of a chatterbox and open person myself-
Feel free to send in more by the way! (人*´∀`)。*゚+

Helloooo! It’s been a minute, my bad.
I apologize for the spam of likes after not rly being on tumblr for a week. I was on vacation visiting family and friends and then on the last two days I got rly sick with a sinus infection and a cold. Thankfully tho nobody else got sick, and I’m pretty sure it was just my body giving out on me and burning out after going, going, going for two weeks straight with hardly any sleep. But I am back and on the mend of getting better (slowly but surely).
I am about halfway through your latest fic, the one with imperial Tech, and so far I’m so invested! I’m going to finish it today and then leave a comment on my thoughts! Again I apologize for taking so longneck to get through it! I’ve also finally caught up on the last two season finale episodes of Bad Batch and CURSE YOU DAVE FILONI! WHY CANT WE JUST HAVE A NICE HAPPY REUNITED FAMILY?!?! Is that so much to ask?! Urgh!!! God damnit. I both loved the season finale and was so frustrated with it at the same time.
Anyways, how have you been? Do you have any other comments or thoughts on the season finale? Any works in the making? Or ideas? I’m actually finally in the process of finishing one of my Bad Batch fics and am hoping to post it sometime this weekend. :)
I hope you’re doing well and I look forward to keeping up with your AMAZING blog and fics! :))
No need to apologize!
I hope you had a good vacation and are feeling better now, though!
Oh, I'm glad to hear you are liking my Imperial!Tech fic so far! That one's a tough one for me, especially since I was writing it in a poor mood, so I am always relieved to see people say that they liked that fic.
I was pretty underwhelmed by the finale (and show in general), truthfully, though I am glad that none of the boys died! I kept thinking something would happen to one of the boys, but am glad nothing of that nature happened to the boys.
I am working on a cadet!Cross fic... and have been for weeks now. Very, very slow going on him, but I do know the entire plot for once and I hope I'll finish it eventually. Other than him, I don't have any other ideas at the moment.
Oh, nice! I look forward to seeing what you wrote!
I am doing alright, and hhhh, thank you!!

“In the eye of the storm” ◊◊◊◊ a post-Frozen 2 fanfic ◊◊◊◊ CHAPTER 6: All hail
There was no doubt. Elsa kept turning the crown between her fingers, and it was indeed her sister’s. Why was Anna’s crown lost in the middle of nowhere?
A flash of her younger’s coronation came to her eyes, smiling as she held the orb and scepter. It got layered with a vision of Anna suffering, and Elsa winced. She lost her balance, almost falling in the mud.
Her blood turned cold, and it wasn’t just a metaphor. The magic glow in her hand turned in a higher shade of blue, and the big ice snowflake she was making float above her palm was getting brighter and brighter, but also colder and colder. The air around it started to turn to smoke. The rain passing near her skin turned to snow before touching the ground.
The blonde’s breathing hitched, and she was staring at the crown in her hand like she was facing a ghost.
“Anna...” She moaned, her eyebrows twisted in a devastated expression.
Rask suddenly neighed, warning her of the sudden cold on the path and taking her out of her reverie.
The Snow Queen startled, and shook her head.
“No. No, this can’t be true. You can’t be...”
Even by whispering, she couldn’t say the word. She gulped, and stood up. With a trembling pace, she walked back to her horse, and was about to climb on his back.
However, when she touched the back of Rask’s neck to get up, the stallion neighed in fear, the touch being extremely cold.
Elsa gasped when she understood and apologized right away. She took a step back and tried to calm down her breathing. However, her twisted mind kept imagining a hundred sad ways Anna could have lost her crown here. She squeezed her eyes shut with a groan.
“Stop it. Stop it!”
Her fists clenched in anger at herself, and in the process, she crushed the glowing snowflake. It turned to ice dust that fell to the ground, plunging the path in darkness again. In her other hand, however, she felt the hard steel of Anna’s crown, and the tips ornated with crocuses pricking her skin as she clamped it. Elsa stopped at the pain – both physical and psychological – that it procured her, and looked down at the object, her gaze lost in the rain.
She remembered that, on the first day she had seen the crown, she had admired how the color of its green enlightened Anna’s eyes. She remembered that, when Anna had lifted her head after she crowned her, her gaze had descended from the crocuses of steel to the teal blue eyes just as powerful and solid of her little sister, staring right back at her. In that moment, Anna simply was the most beautiful Elsa had never seen, and she actually didn’t watch her long because she then saw blur due to the tears filling her eyes. Hopefully, she had blinked them away and continued the ceremony, supported by Anna’s touched smile, and later the claps of all the people present in the chapel.
Another thing had hit Elsa that day at Anna’s coronation; she knew instantly, by staring at those unique eyes, that her little sister would be the most amazing person she had ever seen. She would fight for what’s good, she would always be open-minded, she would always turn danger away, but also, she would never ever surrender.
Elsa’s gaze lifted up. Her eyes were determined now. Anna had to be safe. Somewhere.
She approached Rask, gently stroking them in excuse and care, and once the horse snorted, she climbed on his back.
Slamming her ankles against his flanks to send the stallion into gallop, she prayed for Anna to be safe in Hitiheimr, holding her crown close.
=======
Elsa quite literally barged into the kingdom. She had come to Hitiheimr in the past when she was Queen, so she knew where to head to the castle’s gates. Hopefully in that sad downpour time, nobody was in the streets, and as the castle had no ramparts, she got to the entrance really quickly. She hesitated between jumping off Rask and running to the doors, or gently putting the horse in the stables. When she saw the armored guards walking to her with voulges, their helmets and plastrons shining in the light of dawn, she preferred to go for the second option.
Elsa hoped down the horse, and was about to run to the stable boys. The stallion neighed to get her attention. She twirled around, because he sounded like he warned her that she forgot something. She followed Rask’s nod and saw that she was covered with mud from her feet to her tibias, not being very white anymore.
With a gasp, she cleaned herself in a burst of scrubbing snowflakes, and the heavy rain did the rest.
“Thanks, Rask.”
The Arendellian horse neighed.
It attracted the servants’ attention, and they came to her as she entered the stables. She explained the situation, and soon the guards came to her because they thought she was a thief – and very indiscreet one, remarked one of them, for she was entirely dressed in white with a clear blue ice armor. Elsa presented herself and summarized the urgency, then took leave and went to the castle’s heavy portcullis.
Hitiheimr’s castle was more medieval and had rounder shapes than Arendelle’s. Its stones were brown and black, and it had several towers, which gave it a haunted aura in the grey early light of day, though Elsa truly didn’t care. She explained her venue to the guards on the other side of the grid. They opened it up for her in a concert of metal chains and grunts, and the portcullis was barely one meter high off the stone that Elsa slid underneath and ran past them. Confused, they looked at her make her way through the courtyard, and into the castle.
The interior was way less lit than Arendelle’s corridors, due to the lack of windows and the use of fire torches on the walls as mere light. Elsa knew that this was an advantage and meant that the castle’s walls were thick and more apt to block invaders, but in that time, she was begging to see better. Her panicked steps led her into every corridor, her eyes scanning every face searching for Anna. There were a lot of people between the royals, their politicians, and the Hitiheimr staff. Elsa couldn’t help but frown at the crowd. Weren’t they supposed to be in a meeting? Did it end already? No, she could tell they were all waiting, and that nothing had started yet.
At a corner, Elsa’s gaze was attracted by a cascade of fiery orange on her right, and thought it was the flame of a torch. However, she then turned her head again and realized that this flame was at her height, and it was talking with a black man who looked exactly like... Mattias.
“ANNA!!”
She had yelled her name with all the force in her lungs, and it echoed against the stones of the walls. Many persons turned around, but once again Elsa didn’t care at all.
As she ran at full speed to her sister, the redhead followed Mattias’ shocked stare and turned around, just in time to have a bright white thing grabbing her arms with full force.
“ARE YOU ALRIGHT?”
A very noisy bright white thing.
“What the—”
Elsa was checking every inch of her body, palpating her arms, legs, face, and so on.
“ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!?”
“Sweet goodness, Elsa, yes, I am. What are you doing hhhh—?”
Elsa only needed for her sister to say the word before hugging her tight and burying her face in her neck. The air got ripped from Anna’s lungs at the force of the embrace. It wasn’t the most powerful she had ever given her, but it definitely entered the top five.
“El...sa...”
She tapped her elder’s back like she was stuck in a wrestling match. The blonde parted the hug, and she gasped as she could finally breathe.
Anna held to her sister’s shoulder, the other hand on her chest, panting as she retrieved oxygen.
“What in Odin’s name...”
“Hello, Mattias.” Smiled Elsa.
The man blinked at her sudden happiness, probably due to know that Anna was safe, and he awkwardly bowed.
“G... Good morning, Your Highness.”
Elsa returned to inspecting Anna’s state, her fingers checking her neck. “Are you sure you’re not hurt somewhere?”
The redhead swatted her hand. “I’m fine! Will you please tell me what the heck you’re doing here?”
The Snow Queen let out a long exhale, the effort and panic that held to her during the ride finally slipping out.
“I had to make sure you were okay.”
Anna blinked in bewilderment. “Well, I am, but now I’m starting to think that you aren’t. Are you feverish again?”
“No! I’m perfectly healthy!”
Everything in her behavior stated the opposite. Elsa had messy hair, and she had just soaked Anna with her hug because of how much rain she still had on her.
“When did you arrive?” Asked Mattias, surprised nobody warned of her arrival the day before.
“I just did. I’m coming from the stables.”
Two pairs of eyes widened in front of her.
“You traveled by night?” Exclaimed the general.
Anna frowned.
“Then where’s your...”
She then realized that of course, Elsa wasn’t accompanied by any guard.
“You came alone?!”
The Snow Queen genuinely couldn’t see where the problem was, and got intrigued by their expressions. “Why, yes.”
Anna massaged the top of her nose.
“Okay, now... How to phrase that politely... ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR GODDAMN MIND?”
Elsa startled at the shout, and Mattias urged to quiet her. Some leaders turned around at the sound, and exchanged some commentaries.
Anna pushed the soldier’s arm.
“Are you— Stop it, let me talk to her. Are you aware of how stupidly dangerous it is to have come to me and done such a travel?”
Elsa was about to reassure her softly, however she actually frowned and grumbled.
“Oh, so when you go, it’s the safest path in the world, but when I go, it’s perilous?”
Anna replied with as much force, and the two sisters fought out loud with sharp arguments.
“Please, don’t quarrel again...” Insisted Mattias, his jaw clenching.
He addressed a sorry gesture to the people watching them. The sisters were fully sending each other’s aggressive remarks now.
“Your Highnesses, you’re making a scene. Please stop.”
Elsa finally was the one who paid attention to the general and his worry, so she forced the redhead to quiet down.
“Anna. If I risked my life like that, it was to make sure you were okay. But now that I know you are, I’m infinitely relieved and happy.”
The Queen pouted. Elsa kept going.
“I couldn’t sleep at night thinking you were out there, maybe trapped in this storm, and we didn’t receive any missive...”
“The messengers are all busy traveling the country to get information from the Southern Isles.” Stated Anna, thinking out loud.
Mattias nodded.
“That explains it.” Understood Elsa.
Then she frowned. “Wait, the Southern Isles?”
Anna waved her hand to dismiss the discussion. “We’ll come back to it later.”
Elsa sighed, actually retrieving her normal breathing only now.
She looked at her sister with a smile, and hugged her tight. This time, the hug was slow and tender. Mattias smiled at the scene, and Anna closed her eyes as she embraced her elder warmly.
The blonde inhaled Anna’s scent to calm herself down, and when she passed a hand in her long hair, she realized something.
“Oh, wait.”
She parted from the hug and Anna lifted a curious eyebrow. Elsa noticed that she had been crying a bit, but looked down to the clear blue satchel made of ice fabric that she had crafted at her waist.
She took out Anna’s crown, and it shone at the light of the torches suspended on the walls.
“I think this belongs to you.” She announced, half gently and half sarcastic.
She handed it to her sister. Anna’s eyes went big as she gasped in surprise, the bright crown reflecting in her pupils.
“Oh my gods, there it is!! I’ve been looking for it everywhere!”
Even Mattias seemed impressed and relieved at the vision of it.
“She had searched for it all day yesterday, we had started to lose hope.”
Elsa stared at them. “Wait, so nothing happened? No accident? No aggression? Nothing? You just... Dropped it in the mud?”
“I had the very bad idea to put it in the back pocket of my orange bag. You know, the one with the hole at the bottom that I keep forgetting to sew? The question was: when did the crown fall?”
Elsa blinked disconcertedly. “Are you serious?! Why do you still have this bag???”
Anna pouted. “Because it’s pretty!!”
Elsa buried her face in her hand.
The redhead then frowned, looking at the item in her fingers. “Wait, you found it in the mud? Then why is it so clean?”
She inspected it. It was shining brightly, like the day she received it from the blacksmith and tried it for the first time. She turned it between her fingers, and blabbered in amazement.
“Wha— How? It looks brand new!”
Elsa followed her gaze. “I had to keep my hand busy on the way to not freeze the reins of my horse, and not hurt him. So I focused on twirling it in my hand again and again. I was a bit fidgety...
“But I had it for more than ten years. Like, I know there was a rust spot here. It’s not just cleaned, it’s...”
“Oh, yes. With the Northuldra, I’ve come to learn how to maintain metal, especially metal blades after hunt on old rusty knifes. Almost all of the Sami people carry a knife. I just used my magic to polis it. With the right amount of vibrations by condensing billions of snowflakes... What?”
She noticed that Anna had been smiling deeply at her words.
“What did I say?”
“Nothing. Nothing more nerdy than usual.” Grinned the redhead.
“So you really came here on a horse?” Intervened Mattias.
Anna turned to him comically. “That’s the part that surprises you?”
The sisters chuckled, and after admiring it some seconds again, the Queen lifted the crown and put it back in her hair.
Elsa smiled tenderly. At last, everything was back to normal.
“Thank you so much for bringing it back to me. It could have been lost forever.”
“You’re welcome. I wasn’t going to keep it for me anyway...” She joked to chase her emotion.
Her younger stared at her, and she could tell that Elsa was still affected by the haunting thought that Anna possibly didn’t make it to the kingdom.
A memory of her voice echoed in her mind. ‘If I lost you, I think I’d lose myself.’
She bit her lip and held Elsa’s hand in hers firmly.
“Are you hungry? We can ask to get you something.”
“Yeah, actually, I didn’t bring anything for the travel, and the emotion starved me, so...”
The Queen shook her head. “Why doesn’t that surprise me. I’ll ask for Hitiheimr servants to get you the same things we got for breakfast.”
“If that doesn’t make you late for the meeting... But it is my understanding that you won’t start until the King of the Southern Isles has arrived, isn’t it?”
“Yes, exactly.”
A silence passed.
“You’re very tempted to make an allusion to Hans, uh?” Guessed Anna, grinning.
“Very. But it’s his brother, so I’m not going to.”
The redhead nodded.
“It’s the occasion for you to take a break. For me as well, I have to admit. You gave me such a fright when you appeared...”
“You definitely both need it.” Advised Mattias, smiling.
His gaze then went to Elsa. “And if I may, I think you’re in great need of a towel as well.”
“I’m fine.”
Anna winced, looking at her from head to toe. “I’m not. It’s the second time in two weeks that I see you running to me completely alarmed and drenched. Please do your floaty water thing before I have a cardiac arrest.”
“Got it.”
Under Mattias’ wide eyes and dropped jaw, Elsa closed her eyes and focused, taking the raindrops out of her ice and snow clothes and hair. They flew and vanished in the air, then she passed a hand in her short spiky bangs to add an aesthetic layer of ice.
“Heavens, that is amazing.” Muttered the general.
The few royals who had witnessed the scene in the corridor almost fainted at the sight.
“Let’s get you something to eat.” Smiled Anna. “Mattias, you can close your jaw.”
The soldier smiled as the two sisters walked away, and he followed. So Elsa had made it all the way here only to check that her little sister was alright... They both had traveled the distance from Arendelle to Hitiheimr for two very different reasons and goals. Yet they shared the same motivation.
He discreetly chuckled. They truly were one leader and one protector, and forming a complete Bridge.
=======
“Wait, what?” Exclaimed Elsa, not believing her ears.
“You’re coming with me. You came all the way here, no? Then make yourself useful.” Teased Anna.
“But...”
“The King of the Southern Isles has just arrived. It’s now or never to ask to have another person present at the meeting. Be by my side during the meeting. If you will, of course.”
The blonde missed a heartbeat, her mouth trembling a bit as she had to take that suggestion in. She then closed it, and bowed with a smile.
“It would be an honor, Your Majesty.”
The royals all assembled in the meeting room, and the King of the Southern Isles appeared next to Anna, Elsa and Mattias as they were the last persons to pass the door. He talked to the King of Hitiheimr who was standing by the entrance.
“Please forgive me for my late arrival. The sea is raging, and our ship got delayed.”
“It’s alright, Your Majesty.” Assured their host. “After you.”
Mattias stared at him with disdain. He found it very rude to be late. If the monarch knew the sea was stormy, then why not leaving early? He lived on an island after all, surely they could plan these things.
Elsa stared at him with guilt. The man surely had risked his life coming here, but also the life of the advisor coming along with him – as the King of Hitiheimr suggested each monarch could be accompanied with one – and each and every life of the sailors on the ship. Nevertheless, she couldn’t help but think that it wasn’t that bad if he died, for he had numerous brothers who could inherit of the kingdom, and that the death of twelve siblings would never be enough to pay for the crimes Hans had committed towards Anna and her.
Anna stared at him with an undeniable hint of arousal. The King was muscular, tall, had an apologetic smile that could stop an arrow in mid-air, and piercing green eyes which seemed to get into her very soul and gave the promise to grant her every wish. Her throat got dry when she noticed that he would sit in front of her. If only his family didn’t carry the bastard who had tried to kill her...
The three of them hurried to shake those bad thoughts out of their heads, and mentally apologized for being this judgmental.
They all took place around the large table. It was more rustic than the one in Arendelle castle’s meeting room. It had more curves and thicker wood, noticed Elsa, so despite the different style, it actually was just as beautiful.
Anna explained the presence of Elsa to everyone, asking for the acceptance of her sister among them. Anna then took her seat between the King of Efstfold and the King of Bjargland.
There were a dozen monarchs. Mattias winced internally when he saw that, in all the room, only one other woman was wearing a crown. All other royals were men. He turned to Elsa. The blonde must have known this sad fact already, for she didn’t react. After all, she had been Queen of Arendelle herself for 3 years, so she surely had had meetings with people around this table. Mattias then realized that it meant that nothing had changed in 11 more years. Only two women in power were seating in the council, against six men.
All sat, and their advisors stood up next to them, behind the chairs, to leave the lead to their superiors. Mattias was standing on Anna’s right side, and Elsa on her left.
After presenting everyone, and the topic of this exceptional venue, the session started.
The King of Hitiheimr started to remind everyone why they were assembled here on this day, then turned to Anna.
“Queen Anna, I suppose that you wish to start.”
“Exactly. Thank you, King Isak. Your Majesties, I had the chance and yet the misfortune to see the progress of the storm that affects us all today.”
She explained how it led them to all gather in urgency, and they agreed.
“It is a storm that is not to be taken lightly.” Advised Anna.
“It fuels itself with the force of Nature, and therefore, won’t be stopped by human means.” Completed Elsa, bringing her knowledge, and her addition surprised everyone. “To alleviate it, we are required to think strategica—"
A King coughed in a way he wanted discreet, but it actually wasn’t at all, being in fact very rude. When everyone turned to him, he smiled.
“Pardon my interruption, but I don’t think that Lady Elsa should interfere. We were allowed to bring only one advisor with us, and it’s properly unfair that Queen Anna gets to be this surrounded.”
Several murmurs appeared around the table. Elsa gulped and took this as a cue to exit the room, and she left without a word. Anna however held her wrist right away. Before the blonde could even look down at the freckled hand grasping her, the younger tugged Elsa back to where she had been standing.
“My sister won’t go anywhere.”
This brought a cold silence in the room, and the King of Blómvegr encouraged the presence of Elsa by asking her a question.
“Surely you can bring us more information as you’re here, Lady Elsa?”
The blonde gulped as all gazes fell on her. “Yes. I can. I think that this storm may be magical, and created by two Spirits.”
“May be?” Repeated the King of Efstfold, frowning. “What do you mean, ‘may be’?!”
He was outraged, and another ruler joined in the anger.
“Aren’t you the Fifth Spirit?”
“Y-yes, I am...”
As she struggled with her words, she couldn’t help but notice that they hadn’t been surprised at the mythical part of her sentence. What annoyed them was her incompetence. It hurt her right into her heart.
“And aren’t you supposed to know it, as the Fifth Spirit?” Intervened now the King of Mosiland.
Elsa clenched her jaw, her emotion rising, and she thought of Honeymaren to not break into tears.
“They’re right!” Pitched the King of Efstfold, exclaiming again. “Why don’t you do anything to stop it? It’s your duty!”
Elsa felt stupid. “I... I tried, but...”
“You tried.” Sighed the King of Bjargland. “And failed, apparently. And now we’re all impacted by this storm.”
Elsa lowered her eyes, ashamed. Anna was as red as a beet, however, and furious of their behavior.
“Why are you even here, Lady Elsa?” Grumbled the same monarch, his tone severe. “This is a high board meeting. Not a—”
“That’s right.” Cut Anna, and everyone turned to her because of her clear voice. “She wasn’t invited to this meeting and King Isak had to kindly accept her presence among us. She’s not even allowed to intervene in this discussion.”
Elsa turned to Anna, about to say something, but the redhead’s eyes were on fire and she kept going.
“Which is why, if you’ve got anything to say to my sister, you go through me.”
All got impressed by her regal voice.
“And I’ll speak in her name for the rest of the conference. On that note, before you have any question regarding means of resolution by magic, know that I can attest that Snow Queen Elsa, as the Fifth Spirit of Nature and guardian of Ahtohallan, did all she could to stop this storm before even coming to Arendelle.”
A respectful silence followed. Mattias looked at Elsa with smiling eyes. The blonde was stunned, her big azure blue eyes sparkling at the light of the chandelier. Anna cleared her throat and kept going.
“This storm has magical origins, and it’s growing more and more every passing day.”
Some trusted her words, but others stared at her with spite.
“And I suppose that this magical manifestation stops right at the Northuldra territory borders?” Insinuated the King of Bjargland.
Anna had to bite her lip to not grunt at his annoying tone.
“No. It may be a magical storm, it is nationwide. Which is why we have to act all together to protect all of our people. Including Sami tribes.”
Half of the royals at the table nodded in agreement. But several groans fused. The other half still had trouble understanding the need to generously help the tribes which offered nothing in return, for they weren’t interested in joining the country’s market trades.
This was a one-year old debate, and the Kings kept being close-minded on this point.
“And I suppose that you merged with their land without telling us?” Accused a leader.
Elsa found that intervention rude, but kept her reverential mask of silence.
Anna stared at him.
“In fact, we never intended and will never intend to merge Arendellian and Northuldra territories, despite our relationship based on peace and respect for the past 11 years.”
She purposely weighed those positive terms to tell them in subtext that they better not critic her position towards the Sami people.
“It’s a deliberate choice.” She continued. “That way, we can ensure that nobody would build a house or a facility on a border of Arendelle thinking it’s a virgin land, when in fact it’s Northuldra territory.”
The same groaning Kings than before groaned again.
“Even if the Northuldra don’t have houses there?”
“Yes. It’s still their land.” Insisted Anna. “And I forbid any acquisition or colonization of it.”
The monarch who asked the question grumbled, and he took note of something on his papers. Elsa understood that her sister had just cancelled a plan of his.
“Now I think that we stepped out of the topic.” Coughed slightly the King of Hitiheimr.
“Yes. As I told you, the magic storm knows no limits and no borders in every meaning of the term.” Summarized Anna, and she side-looked at Elsa who approved with a discreet nod. “Now or never is the time to unite, and take care of everyone in this perilous period.”
Anna’s teal blue eyes inspected all the council members before dropping her tactical decision.
“I think that we should all ask our armies to stop what they are doing and order the soldiers of each of our kingdoms to help the citizens, and help build infrastructures which could have suffered so far.”
The Kings of Efstfold and Mosiland scoffed as they lost their breath.
“Mobilizing our armies?”
“Are you insane?”
Mattias frowned at the direct insult. If it was in a less diplomatic context, he would have attacked the monarch back in Anna’s defense.
“I am very sane, Sir. This is a deeply thought assessment.” Assured the redhead, firm in her response, and she didn’t need Mattias’ support.
“But... Your Majesty, with all due respect...” Started the King of Blómvegr. “What proves us that this is a safe solution?”
An advisor bent to talk to the ear of the Queen of Ellriheimr, thought he did it high enough for the whole room to hear. “My Queen, I don’t think this is a good suggestion to follow. It could be a trap.”
The leader frowned as she thought. She made eye contact with Anna, who obviously had been listening to that guidance to argue against.
“Queen Anna, can you attest that you won’t use this opportunity for an assault?”
“Yes, what proves us that this is not all a ruse, and that Arendelle won’t attack us as soon as we withdraw our armies?” Frowned the monarch of Efstfold.
Anna was shocked by the accusation. “Never would I do that!”
Her surprise was genuine and could be read on the honest woman’s face. Those who had trusted her so far understood that she meant no harm, but for the other remaining, she had just implied war.
“Do you intend to take advantage of that magic storm to extend the territory of Arendelle? And reinforce your position as the leading kingdom?” Frowned the King of Bjargland.
Anna’s jaw dropped. Not only this was a strong allegation, but it also was stupid, for Arendelle was by far the largest land of the country, and had no purpose nor desire in extending more, especially after inheriting from Runeard’s plans.
However, their mistrust was legitimate, and Anna had to pledge the dubious faces turned to her that she wasn’t scamming anyone.
“King Markus, you know deep down that such a thought would never come to me.”
Mattias and Elsa exhaled discreetly, happy to see Anna had the correct answer.
“Queen Britt, King Kjetil, our geopolitical relationship goes back many years. My sister herewith has already proven to you of Arendelle’s peaceful intentions when she was on the throne.”
The two leaders lowered their gazes, exchanging even another between them and admitting they judged her too quickly. And just like that, the Queen of Ellriheimr and the King of Efstfold joined Anna’s decision and listened carefully to what she had to say for the rest of the conference.
Two Kings still had not much trust in her. It was mainly due to the anger to listen to the decisions of the youngest monarch around the table who also happened to be a woman, but never would they admit it out loud.
“King Tom...” Started Anna, addressing to the head of Mosiland, and Elsa was impressed at how well she slid their names with a regal way, to be familiar with them without being disrespectful. “...Our two lands already had been in a similar situation a few years ago when a cliff had collapsed down South and fell on a road that both our kingdoms use.”
He bit his lip. “And Arendelle helped us without compensation.”
They all looked down, regretting a bit to have raised their voices.
His counterpart of Hitiheimr smiled, and took advantage of a silence to add: “Arendelle and Hitiheimr have been partners for several generations now, and we didn’t have a single problem in our history.”
He turned to his right, where the King of the Southern Isles was seating. “I suppose that you don’t see any harm coming from Arendelle as well, King Ruben?”
The man who had been silent and observing until now finally smiled. “None at all. Besides, we have a long debt of forgiveness towards Arendelle that I’m afraid will never be fully returned. So I stand by Queen Anna’s choice.”
Elsa and Anna noticed that he had been staring at them as he talked, and they were glad it had been addressed. They both nodded quietly.
The redhead eyed all of the monarchs. “To prove to you all that I don’t intend to attack you, I’ll leave here in Hitiheimr the general of my army, Destin Mattias, for as long as this storm lasts.”
She gestured to the soldier on her right, and they all widened their eyes in surprise. Did she just point to her advisor?
Elsa missed a heartbeat, but Mattias remained stoic.
“He’s someone you can trust with your life, and I sincerely believe you can all place your future in his hands without blinking an eye. He’s an acutely skilled soldier, and an excellent general. His competences in strategy are close to perfection. As you can see, he’s also my advisor today, because he happens to be my counselor. In other words... His presence here and away from the kingdom of Arendelle is a proof that I stand no chance if I attack you. Without general Mattias, I am in disadvantage to operate such an action.”
Every monarch dropped their jaw. Elsa smiled at Anna’s wisdom, and if she wasn’t keeping her serious attitude for the conference, she would have cried.
Anna then pushed everything further with another promise.
“I also engage myself to give all the resources of Arendelle you might need right away.”
A round of gasps and mutters went across the table. Whispers came from advisors to rulers and back.
Elsa hurried to Anna’s ear, taking advantage of the jumble it had created to speak.
“Anna, you can’t be serious. Your people need those resources.” Panicked the blonde with wide eyes. “You can’t do that.”
The redhead placed a hand on hers as she was holding to the arm of her chair to bend to her.
“Don’t worry. I did the math the night before last.” Murmured back Anna. “It’s a solid plan. Trust me.”
Elsa stared at her for a moment, then smiled. “Okay.”
Anna smiled back, and her expression turned back to serious as she looked at the leaders again.
“What do you think?” Inquired the Queen to the council.
“This is a colossal statement, Your Majesty.” Puffed a King.
“It is indeed.” Smiled Anna, slightly sarcastic. “I let you think about it.”
As the leaders all mumbled about it again, she gave a quick look at Mattias, who approved her speech with a smile and a nod. Elsa looked down at her younger, whose eyes were sparkling with intelligence and determination. She had prepared everything. Elsa’s heart filled with pride to call her her sister.
She bent to her sister once again.
“Wait... If Mattias isn’t at your side as you travel back to Arendelle...”
Anna turned with a smile.
“I’ll come back with you, remember? I don’t risk anything.”
Elsa smiled widely.
The King of Blómvegr cleared his throat for everyone to quiet, and spoke to everyone. “I think Queen Anna convinced us all. It is a one of a kind time, and it calls for special measures. I agree with you, Your Majesty.”
Anna gave him a thankful nod.
“I also agree to mobilize the army of my kingdom and share its resources.” Announced the King of Bjargland.
“King Isak and I also follow that movement.” Stated the King of the Southern Isles, after a quick look at his ally.
The Queen of Ellriheimr held her chin as she thought.
“You are certainly right. As long as we cannot predict the progress of this storm, our kingdoms should help each other out.”
The King of Mosiland slammed his hand on the table, a bit too heavily, and everyone startled. “Alright, I join my kingdom to do the same process as well.”
The remaining monarch, of Efstfold, seemed convinced now that his seatmate had picked a side. “I join the movement.”
Elsa and Anna got flabbergasted by how fast they reticent monarchs had changed their decision. Mattias, however, wasn’t surprised. Anna’s persuasion power was always impressive. Once, she managed to pressure him enough to wear a hat as he was about to have a walk with Halima. Despite him finding the hat ridiculous, she used the right arguments, and less than ten minutes later, he was at the store buying it. Halima hadn’t detached her eyes from him for the whole stroll, and it had been a milestone in their relationship. He couldn’t have thanked her enough. On another thought, Mattias noted that without Anna’s tenacity and assurance, Elsa’s life journey would certainly have been different.
Little by little, all leaders had accepted to join the treaty, and when the King of Hitiheimr asked for voters to manifest themselves, all rose their hands in favor. The host took in the fact they all agreed with his role of witness. He stood up happily.
“Then the decision has been taken unanimously! All Kingdoms will help wherever the need arises.”
As everyone clapped with diplomatic smiles, Anna couldn’t believe her eyes. She was the ghost of herself as she forced her face into a royal one and applauded along, doing all she could to not cry right then. She felt Elsa’s hand on her shoulder, squeezing there. Her sister was as emotional as she was.
They had made it! They had made a peaceful and assisting treaty based on mutual aid! The redhead gulped. How many times has she dreamed about this moment happening since she became Queen more than ten years ago? She felt like she should have done a bucket list to have the joy of crossing that line out with all her might.
“Alright. The meeting is over. Thank you all, Your Majesties, ladies and gentlemen, for your vivid participation.” Smiled the King of Hitiheimr.
He turned to the redhead. “Thank you especially, Queen Anna. Your dedication and honesty truly make this country stand.”
Anna blushed slightly, and Mattias and Elsa had a proud nod of agreement. The Queen masked her blush with a smile and a bow.
“Thank you, King Isak. But you’re the one keeping it together.”
A silence passed as they all nodded.
“That’s right.” Said the Queen of Ellriheimr. Thank you for your hospitality and your time.”
They all left in good terms, slowly exiting the room and shaking hands or bowing. Elsa felt intense warm in her soul at the sight, and the magic coldness calmed a bit in her veins.
=======
A hand slid in Anna’s as she walked in the corridor. She was used to this specific touch, and turned with a smile before even seeing her sister’s face.
“Thank you for defending me during the meeting.” Smiled Elsa tenderly. “Recently, I started doubting of myself and my capacities as the Fifth Spirit.”
Anna held her sister’s hand tightly.
“I’ll always defend you from anyone who aims to demean you, Elsa. And by the way, that means you too if you continue to depreciate yourself, young lady.”
Her expression had switched from loving to scolding, and they had suddenly stopped in the hall. Elsa bit her lips in a faulty manner.
“Because, seriously? Do you hear what you say?” Exclaimed Anna. “How can you doubt of your skills, when earlier, you literally have made water levitate from your body?”
A smile stretched the blonde’s lips.
“You’re right.”
“Damn right I am.”
They chuckled.
“You shouldn’t swear here.” Giggled Elsa, looking around them like the Hitiheimr castle was a sacred place.
The sisters kept laughing, and Mattias walked to them. Anna’s behavior changed when he was near, and the elder noticed that her face was covered with worry.
“Sorry for being this dramatic during the meeting. I didn’t intend to throw you into the fire like that.”
The man chuckled. “It was fine. You did well. It was exactly like we planned.”
Elsa’s jaw dropped, and she smiled. “You two planned that? Oh, of course you did.” She then comically slapped her forehead. “You two will never stop amazing me.”
Anna looked at her general.
“Mattias, is it okay if we leave now?”
“It’s perfectly fine, Your Majesty. I will handle things here. I’ll be of great help in the management during the crisis.”
The sisters smiled at his anticipation. The soldier grinned.
“Also, may I add, it was an excellent meeting. You lead admirably. And you have a remarkable sense of improvisation as well.”
Anna smirked and shove him gently on the arm.
“When will you stop complimenting me for little things, Mattias?”
He smiled. “I’m afraid I’m unable to stop since I saw you destroy the dam that day.”
Elsa put a hand on her little sister’s shoulder. “That was impressive, Anna. I agree with him. You were incredible, and everyone got speechless!”
“Well, one or two Kings couldn’t stop criticizing me, but... I’m not gonna cite their names.” Giggled the Queen.
An hour later, the servants prepared their horses, and Elsa made sure that Rask agreed to ride over this soon. To the stables staff astonishment, the stallion had a lot of energy and was even very enthusiastic to have an epic ride with Elsa again. She giggled, and the redhead tied her heavy fur coat, she looked at Elsa’s equipment, which had been reduced to the bare necessities.
“You really did fast, uh? Just a bridle. Thankfully, your horse doesn’t seem to mind. Hey, did you at least warn Kristoff that you were leaving Arendelle in a hurry??”
Elsa bit her lip. “No.”
Anna’s face stretched in shock, and the blonde hurried to correct herself.
“But I sent him an ice statue message just earlier! I told him we’re both alright and that we’re making our way back home.”
Anna sighed. “Okay.”
Elsa’s azure blue eyes seemed to still be marked with the panic that had rose in her when she saw Anna’s crown lost in the night.
“How do you feel?” Asked the younger, her voice melting to a soft level.
The Snow Queen turned to her. That tone could make her burst to tears instantly because of how warm and caring it was, and with her tiredness, she was close.
“I... I thought I had lost you. And... I feel like if something happens to you in that storm, it would be my fault.”
“Elsa, don’t say that. It’s not your fault at all.”
“You’re right. Not directly. It indirectly is my fault. Because of me, people are in danger every d—”
A finger had sealed her lips to be shut, and she startled at the gesture. Anna sighed, her arm stretched.
“I suppose that if I tell you one more time that you’re not responsible, you won’t believe me. So, hear me out, sis.”
She took her finger off Elsa’s lips, and the blonde was attentive.
“Even if you were the culprit, and I were injured, I would not be resentful. If you can’t counter it, why would I be angry at you?”
Elsa let out a noise that was a mix of a wet gasp and a relieved whimper. It was like all stress had lifted her soul, all weight had been taken off her shoulders, and she let them fall in a sigh.
A smile appeared at the corner of her lips.
“You’re so comprehensive. Sometimes I wonder what kind of miracle allowed me to have you as my sister.”
Anna smirked. “You should ask Ahtohallan. That’s what the Bridge is all about, I suppose.”
After they exchanged a smile, the redhead bent her head.
“Hey, are you sure you don’t want to take a break before we go back to Arendelle?”
“No, I told you, I’m fine.”
“And I told you to stop lying to make me happy. I know you haven’t slept last night as you were hurrying to check on me.”
“You know me two well, it’s unfair.” Muttered Elsa.
Anna pretended to not have heard that. Her elder gave up.
“Okay, we’ll stop to make a camp on the day. The night will fall on our journey back anyway. Do we have a deal?”
“Definitely.” Grinned Anna, who won everything in this situation; Elsa’s health, and a night of ice hut camping under the stars with a transparent roof to stare at them like Elsa always made them.
The horses were brought, and they mounted them before going in the strong wind. They made their way out of the castle after thanking everyone.
At one of the windows of the towers, Mattias looked at them riding away. The King of Hitiheimr approached with a smile.
“They are unstoppable, aren’t they?” Admired the monarch.
The general grinned with a nod.
“Yes, sir. They truly are.”

Hmmm so how about the SDRA2 guys w/ a S/O who does not show much emotion (stotic) but when they get more close to each other, they open up more! Like smiling more, receiving more affection, stuff like that!
“
Wooo! I’m on the second to last request,, anyway! I gotcha, anon! I hope you enjoy! Hhhh- this was late, and I apologize,,
Hajime
- S/o let out a small gulp, as you made your way over towards Hajime. “H..hey, Hajime. Do you want to train together?” The boxer stopped what he was doing and turned to look at you with an at first a surprised look, then smiled.
- “Sure, let’s do it S/o! First, we’re going to do a lap around the island!” The boxer said with a smirk, while you on the hand, already knew this wasn’t going to go so well. But, if it made him happy you were more then willing to try it can’t be that bad, right?
- It started out pretty good, the occasional conversation as you both started. The weather was just right, clouds in the sky, along with the bright sun shining within the bright sky. The thing was, that you were slowly falling behind Hajime, as much as you attempted to keep up with him you just couldn’t. This wasn’t in your element.
- Hajime seemed to notice this and slowed down soon coming to a complete halt. “S/o, are you alright? Do you need to sit down for a moment?” S/o waved their hand as they attempted to speak, but it came out as a wheeze. “You need to rest, I’ll take you back to the monocruise.” With that, Hajime gently picked up his S/o and started to head back to the cruise. “Thank you, for doing this with me, S/o.” He said with a happy smile, which you did your best to return.
Mikado
- Mikado was trying to make his s/o laugh by doing different tricks though, the blank expression remained on their face.
- Then, he attempted to try and do a larger trick, but it turned out that it backfired and it turned Mikado was coated in a coat of black smoke. “Tada…?” A few snickers escaped from your lips before you busted out into full laughter.
- S/O clutched her sides as she laughed, nearly falling down from how hard she was laughing. At least Mikado was successful? He got his S/o to laugh, so it was a plus. It made the magician laugh a bit, as he stood up gently pulling his S/o up as well.
- Slowly, they started to calm down and they wiped a few tears from their eyes. “Come on, let’s get you cleaned up.” Chuckled softly, they gently grabbing his hand and started to head back towards the cruise ship with a bright smile on their face.
Nikei
- As usual, Nikei was running at twenty-four miles per hour with talking about his scoops to his s/o. He had grown used to you being so silent and looking uninterested when you spoke about them, that when you decided to speak this time it threw him off.
- “E-eh? Was that you, s/o?!” He exclaimed astonish before the bright twinkle appeared in his eyes. Nodding, you’d smile slightly why not change things up for a bit? Nikei really seemed to enjoy it, so it wouldn’t hurt just this once.
- “It was, I was just curious to know how you managed to interview the person if they were..ya know. Locked up..” A small shiver ran up your spine at the thought, but it didn’t stop your curiosity.
- Nikei grinned, as he flipped his hair in a dramatic manner. “I don’t think you realized who you’re talking to. I am the Ultimate Journalist!” He grinned brightly, as he started explaining with a gleam. S/o smiled softly as she started to listen to him explain.
Shinji
- The firefighter was carrying you on his back since you had accidentally hurt yourself while you were jogging. You weren’t paying attention and tripped in a pothole.
- “You don’t have to do this, Shinji..” You mumbled while propping your chin on his shoulder. “Of course I do, S/o! You’re important to me! So, I have to do everything it takes to keep you safe!” He beamed while you softly giggled and hugged him from behind which made him turn into a bright shade of red.
- “S-s/o..?”
- The smile on your face just turned brighter and brighter. “You’re the best..I don’t know what I would do without you.” Closing your eyes you go quiet to a similar fashion before you started to drift off asleep. Shinji turned into a bright shade of red, but he continued walking. “I..don’t know what I would without you either, s/o..”
Syobai
- ”What to do..what do you..” You mumbled as you stared up at the clouds with a bored expression, until a person blocked your view. That person being significant other, Syobai. “Syobai? What are you doing?”
- “Just curious of something.” He said in response, before holding a hand out in which you took and he pulled you up. You went to speak once more, but he just tugged you along.
- Confused, you followed as you picked up his pace to walk beside him and glanced over at him for a moment.
- “Syobai..?” You said softly, looking at the broker with a confused expression. “Hm?” He replied, as he continued walking, slowing his pace down for a moment. “Thank you.” You smiled slightly and leaned your head onto his arm.
Teryua
- It really did surprise you when Teruya had just suddenly burst into your room looking for you. “S/o! There you are! I’ve been looking for you everywhere!”
- Taking a moment to blink, you stared at the green haired male for a moment. “Looking for me? For what?” Teruya put a hand behind his head and smiled sheepishly, “Err, I was wondering if you wanted to do something together.” With a smile, you nodded and exited the bed, going over to him and gently grabbed his hand. “Lead the way, okay?”
- His sheepish smile turned into a bright one as he quickly pulled you along. A small giggle escaping your lips as you followed, doing your best to keep up with him. He was something else, that’s for sure, but you wouldn’t want to have it any other way.
- “Just where are we going, Teruya?” You’d ask causing him to slow down enough and look back at you. With a bright gleam in his eyes, he stated, “I don’t know!” Wait, what? He didn’t know where you both were going? That could only lead to one thing, and that was trouble.
Yuki
- “Yuki, do you mind if we..hold hands?” Your tone was quiet when you asked, is that you were rather bashful to ask such a thing. And judging by Yuki’s expression, he wasn’t ready for you to ask him something like that. “W-we don’t have t-” Yuki was quick to interrupt you. “No! I m-mean, I would love too, s/o.” A small smile made way onto your face as you reached out and gently grabbed his hand and intertwined both of your fingers together.
- Walking alongside Yuki, hands intertwined just calmed your racing heart. It was peaceful, enjoying the bliss that surrounded the both of you as you began to swing both of your hands back and forth. Until Yuki started to speak, “S..S/o? If you don’t mind me asking, how come..you decided to do this? N-not that I mind! I was just wondering..since you haven’t done something like this before..”
- Your expression faltered slightly as your gaze dropped down onto the ground for a moment. “Well, it’s just..I’m not use to showing affection, but I wanted to try for you, since you deserve it, Yuki.”
- Yuki’s eyes widened, before he gently squeezed your hand, “S/o, you don’t have to do something like that for me, I-I love you..just the way you are..” That caused you to stop and turn to face Yuki with a small twinkle in your eyes. That touched your heart and caused you to fall in love with the ginger even more than you already did.
Yuri
- At first, Yuri wasn’t sure how you both became a couple since your personalities contrasted with each other. While you were just about silent, kept to yourself and often unresponsive, he was more outgoing in comparison. But, it all changed one fateful evening, when he walked into your dorm room slightly tired, but just wanting to spend time with you. Despite it not going to well all the other times he’s attempted this before. Opening the door, he was greeted by a slightly smiling s/o. “It’s.. good to see you, love.” Yuri was taken aback by just that.
- Was this really his s/o?! What happened in the span of a few hours? Seeing him not respond made you worry a bit so you carefully had gotten out of your bed and gently walked over to him. “Are you alright, Yuri?” You asked in a soft tone, waving a hand in front of his face. Letting out a small squeak in surprise when you were suddenly hugged. You slowly returned the embrace through this just confused you more and more.
- At this point, you just didn’t question it, whenever Yuri had looked up at you and you saw those bright twinkling eyes. It didn’t take to long to figure out what Yuri was so happy about. “Is it that..I’m showing more emotions than usual?” An excited nod was the response, “It’s not just that, I’m just happy to see this side of you. It makes me, happy.”
He replied with a bright smile that just made your heart melt. Aw, he’s an adorable bab. You honestly felt bad for not showing more affection sooner, but you planned to from now on. That’s a promise, for sure that bright smile was something you wanted to see all the time.

How To Get A Date: Movie Edition (Step Three: The Arrival)

The Gayest of Them All: True
Emo 3000: It’s ridiculous how oblivious he is with feelings. And I’m the one who has to deal with it cause I ROOM with him.

Princey: Lol
*Multiple people are typing in a private chat with Princey, Emo 3000, Starbucks, Doctor Cartoon, Snake, and The Gayest of Them All…*
*Notifications for the private chat with Princey, Emo 3000, Starbucks, Doctor Cartoon, Snake, and The Gayest of Them All was turned off*
Patton shut off his phone and shoved it into his sweatshirt pocket. Leaning his head back so it touched the seat, he took a deep breath and spared a glance over at Logan. The man was focused on the road, a neutral expression on his face. That was normal a normal expression for him, his face void of any emotion. If anyone had looked at him now, they would probably have thought he was a robot. Though, if you really knew Logan, you would know that he was extremely focused. You’d see his hands gripping the wheel as he stared out the windshield. But that was the joy of being Logan’s friend. You got the privilege of knowing all of his different sides and feelings. You got the privilege of knowing who he was. The privilege of learning each and every of his different habits and expressions. Patton remembered first meeting Logan, how closed off he was then. And he thought of now, how open Logan was able to be with their friends, how he wasn’t afraid to share how he felt with them now, how he was able to say any random fact that popped into his head without shame or fear that they would think he was annoying. He smiled softly and turned to look out the window. His thoughts drifted away for the millionth time that day.
The jerk of the car as it came to a stop jolted Patton out of the comfortable chaos of his mind. He flushed, realizing he didn’t say anything to Logan the entire ride, and as he fumbled with the seat belt, his mouth stuttered out an apology. Finally making it out of the car, he turned towards Logan with a sheepish expression on his face. But Logan, calm and neutral as ever (which both aggravated Patton and calmed him at the same time), just smiled and promised that it was fine. That he didn’t mind, and that it was a comfortable quiet.
The nerves came back full swing as they walked into the movie theater together. He knew he had meant for this to be a date, he was fully allowing himself to admit that now after earlier’s panic, but he was extremely aware that he and Logan probably looked like a couple. What made it worse was that he knew that Logan probably didn’t even think of that when he slipped his hand into Patton’s to lead them into line. He probably didn’t think of that even when Patton unconsciously didn’t let go. Which he did now, slipping the hand into his pocket. The butterflies were rampant.
Thankfully he had pre-ordered the tickets. They had gotten to the front of the line and Logan had opened his mouth to offer to pay for the tickets. He had taken them out of his pocket and handed them to the lady at the counter, feeling the powerful feeling of Logan’s grumpy face burning into the back of his head. He smiled sweetly, turning back to his friend, and led them into the snack line. Mentally he kept note of what snacks Logan had wanted as they talked in line, but once they got to the front, Logan pushed in front of him and ordered for the both of them. His heart pounded, sounding like thunder inside of his body, but he put on a fake pout to mask it. Or at least try.
Logan slipped his hand back into Patton’s as they walked into the theater, but he knew it was to only bring them to their seats. Mentally sighing, he sat down and steeled himself. He could do this.

reaction to their idol!datemate having a dating rumor
anon: may I request an ateez reaction to dating rumors that include u and another idol (ur an idol too hhhh)
i hope you like it 💕💕
masterlist | ask & request here
Hongjoong:
Hongjoong would be a little confused as to why your name was trending, but when he clicked on the link and saw that a certain company had posted an article claiming you were dating another idol he would be pissed. He knew it wasn’t true, but next time you’d see him he’d ask what happened just so he could figure out the situation even though he couldn’t do anything about it.
“I just think it’s funny that they think that they’re your type ya know. Also, why don’t they suspect we’re dating? Do they not think we’d be cute together?”
Seonghwa:
Seonghwa answered your call and listened to you rant about the rumor. He’d encourage you to brush it off, he knew it wasn’t true and so did you. Your biggest worry was that because you already had dating rumors then people would be watching more carefully, and maybe they’d catch you and Seonghwa. He understood, but tried his best to calm you down.
“You know how careful we are. Nothing bad is going to happen. I promise you baby.”
Yunho:
Yunho giggled when he saw the headline. He sent you the article with the laughing crying emoji and a text that read at least they haven’t caught onto us yet. He would joke about it the whole time. You’d get a call and Yunho would immediately say, “Well looks like you got another boyfriend waiting. Don’t worry I won’t hold you up.” He’d be so carefree about the incident and tease you about having another boyfriend.
“Oh, my times almost up babe. You should go meet up with your other boyfriend soon. He probably misses you.”
Yeosang:
He became very anxious and panicky when he first heard about it. He was worried he wasn’t the only one you loved, and probably would avoid talking to you for a couple days before you’d call him up. You’d explain what had happened, you were recording an OST with another idol and got caught together on a coffee run. Yeosang would require extra cuddles and kisses that night to feel secure and loved again.
“I was just so worried I wasn’t the only one, but I kept trying to remember how the media can twist things. My brain got the best of me.”
San:
He hadn’t even heard the rumor before you began texting him apologizing. You explained what had happened, and while San was a little upset that the magazine thought you were dating someone else, he realized it was just a rumor and he was the one you loved so dearly. San called you over the night, just to remind you how much he loved you, maybe with an alternative motive to get cuddles so he’d feel better about the situation too.
“I can’t believe they thought you were dating him. I’m also surprised they haven’t caught us though.”
Mingi:
Mingi felt his heart sink when he saw the article circulating through his timeline. It felt like everyone else had already seen the rumor and believed it. He would call you with tears in his eyes and a light stuffiness to his voice. You’d answer all his questions, explaining the situation to the detail to let him know it was just a rumor and you loved him so much.
“I was so scared. I saw all the comments and tweets about how you two would make a good couple and it hurt me so bad babe.”
Wooyoung:
Wooyoung saw the headline and laughed to himself. This couldn’t be true.. right? He tried to justify the photos and incidences outlined in the article, but they made sense in his mind. You were dating another person. He paced around his room until you entered, San letting you into the dorm. You cleared up the situation for him, stopping his mind from wandering.
“I didn’t want to believe it, but everything lined up so well. I really was believing the conspiracy. That website has some good researchers!”
Jongho:
Jongho was already struggling to remain secure in the relationship. He was new to dating and being an idol, and this rumor really rocked his boat. He tried really hard to ignore it, or rationalize why it just couldn’t be true, but he was very insecure. He called you shaking, waiting for you to answer, and he told you everything on his mind revealing his soul. You rushed over to the dorms to comfort him and ease his mind.
“I’m sorry. I know I shouldn’t have believed it, but sometimes I feel I’m not right for you, or I’m not good enough to be with someone so incredible.”

(1/5)
i feel like there was supposed to be something here RIP your wonderful thoughts at 3am BUT
(2/5) like you said, there just wasn't time, and by the time there was, everything had already settled on terribly destabilized foundations. and yeah, honestly, by the end of it in the canon novel their resolution is both jc and wwx letting go. wwx having spent his whole life expecting to be jc's right hand and support, and then All That, and jc having spent 13 years after wwx's death gripping tight to that rage/grief to kill every demonic cultivator he could find without truly accepting (3/5) wwx's death (he MUST still be around). and at the very end they're both just. exhausted. tapped out. they're both so much older now, and they'd lost everything, and now that they've confronted each other they've also kind of acknowledged that they lost each other a long time ago. in that time they've built totally different lives for themselves. wwx lets go and finds a new home and a new direction in life and starts to live and love and value HIS life, and HIS love (which!!!! good!!!) (4/5) jc watches them walk away and the line that you quoted, "there's nothing to say" - i don't know if he was necessarily going to say anything about the core, or being captured by the wens, but whatever it was (an apology, a request to talk, anything) would be a call to ask/tie wwx back (to him, to his past). and instead jc watches him go and finally starts to let go, and maybe for the first time really let himself feel that his brother wwx is gone. (5/5) it's bittersweet but it's one of those things like... they've got the chance to truly let each other go, build their own lives, heal, and maybe one day in the very far future, they'll meet each other as new, healthier and happier people, and they'll be able to start something new, if they want to. anyway. i don't know if any of that made any sense (it's 3 am and i am,, this close to oblivion) but thank you again for indulging me with this stuff!!! love u, hope u have a great day
god i love you too you must have brought me good fortune because i got offered a manager’s job today so jc watches him go and finally starts to let go, and maybe for the first time really let himself feel that his brother wwx is gone” like go hop in a lake honestly and i can’t think of anything more to add really!!! jc and wwx are a tragedy of people who loved each other, who wanted to keep loving each other, and probably won’t ever completely stop feeling like they should still love each other how they used to, but time has passed and things will never be the same, never can be, and never should be, not with all they’ve done to each other. in the future i imagine they will be given the chance to build something new altogether—probably because of jin ling—but what that relationship is like will be entirely up to them. but i guess i just don’t ever see them having comradery again, wwx can’t feel like he can joke around and jc can’t feel like he can chastise/play the straight man so it’ll just...be friendly respect at most.
((((also hhhh i know in radio interviews lwj talked about getting around this somehow but wwx doesn’t have a golden core. he can’t be an immortal. he’s going to die, and age way quicker too. imagine jiang cheng hearing about how his estranged brother is aging and knowing that the force that would have kept him strong is seated in his own chest AHHH imagine getting the letter one day informing everyone that the yiling patriarch has passed imagine jc alone in his chamber crumpling the announcement in his hand and gritting his teeth as he closes his eyes and sets his forehead against the wall, thumps the hand holding the crumpled note against the wall and lets his arm rest there, grasps at his robes with his free and because all of a sudden his chest feels so tight and this wasn’t supposed to hurt anymore. how much does he have to lose before it doesn’t hurt like this? trying to breathe because he can’t let anyone know how much he mourns because not only is there his pride to consider but other people have much more right to mourn than him.
BUT THAT WON’T HAPPEN because lwj will find a way to make up for the golden core thing and happy endings all around!!!))))

(The angst isn’t negotiable, it has already been written. Well, when you added onto the ask of Jeongin, the siren fighter with a scream of a thousand dolphins, I had to accept that as part of his backstory.) (1/11) Just a few months after Jeongin was born, his mother had left him on the shore of a beach, pain clear in her eyes. She apologized to him as she set him down on the sand, then she was quick to leave. His mom had no other choice if she wanted him to have a chance of living.-Boat
The island had been invaded and most of the villagers were gathered, while those who couldn’t pull their own weight were killed, including children. The smell of blood and the screams of pain caught the attention of sirens, but any plans that they had disappeared at the sight of an infant on the shore. “It’s a child, his mom must have left him here when the attack started.” one of them spoke.
“If he doesn’t get killed, he’ll die if nobody is here to take care of him. Bring him to our island.” said the siren that seemed to be the leader of that group, the infant was too charming for them to leave behind or hurt. For once, the sirens didn’t fully submerge into the water; if humans couldn’t breathe underwater as adults, it was safe to say that their children wouldn’t be able to either.
Years had passed and Jeongin had learned things like how to hold his breath for extended periods of time, how to swim, and how to sing with the same enchanting voice as the sirens. They never fed him his own species, they treated him kindly. However, they also kept him close to the island, even making sure somebody watched him when the others left to hunt.
Finally, when he was 13, nobody stayed behind to keep an eye on him. Jeongin followed the sirens from a distance, it was the only chance he had to venture out and see what they did. As they moved further from the island, dark clouds started to cover the sky and rain began to fall as thunder was heard. His eyes landed on a ship and he was in awe, it was something that he had only ever been told about.
The ocean turned harsh, waves crashing against the side of the ship and voices he was familiar with began to sing a song he was unfamiliar with. Through the rain, thunder, and singing, Jeongin was barely able to make out an unfamiliar voice shout “Dad, what are you doing?!”. A man jumped off the boat and into the water, but Jeongin came to the conclusion that the sirens would help him, they always told him stories about how they saved pirates.
‘They lied to me, they’re not helping him.’ he thought as he covered his mouth with one of his hands, his eyes wide as he saw the man get ripped apart. He tried to hold in his tears, he knew that the sirens would notice him if he made a noise. Jeongin turned around and swam as fast as he could, away from the ship and the island he spent his life on.
His mind was racing and he was barely able to notice an unfamiliar island. “Jeongin!” a voice called out, causing the male to turn around in shock. A few sirens had found him and he didn’t know if they were searching for him because he wasn’t on the island or if they knew what he saw. “I’m not going back! You told me that you made people happy, but you were killing pirates!” he cried, moving to turn around and head towards the new island. He hissed in pain as they grabbed his arm.
‘Catch them off guard, make a noise that they don’t like.’ he thought before he let out a dolphin scream, the sirens letting go and covering their ears in response. This was his chance, he had to use the small amount of energy he had left to swim to that island. He managed to get there and he knew that he had to continue a little more, he couldn’t be at the shore, they would easily grab him. His legs carried him until he was away from the shore.
His vision was blurry, but he could see that there was somebody just a few feet away from him. “Help.” Jeongin croaked. The person rushed to him, catching him when his legs gave out and he began to lose consciousness. “How are you doing?” Hyunjin asked once Jeongin opened his eyes. The younger male took a moment to try to clear his head and take in his surroundings. “I’m alright.” he paused, “Thanks for catching me before I passed out.”.
He smiled in reply, “It’s no problem. It’s a good thing that Woojin was here to patch you up, people here want nothing to do with pirates or anyone they come in contact with. Mind telling me what happened?”. “I-my family hurt me, so I ran away.” it wasn’t a lie, it just wasn’t everything. “My captain is looking for more crew members. You can join us if you’d like.” Hyunjin suggested. Jeongin smiled at the chance at a fresh start, “I will. My name’s Jeongin.”.
WAIT. THE CLIFFHANGER. THE CLIFFHANGER THAT THIS PART WAS LEFT OFF ON BECAUSE PART 11/11 WAS NEVER SENT HHHH ALSO I WROTE IN JEONGIN’S PART AS A JOKE BUT THE WAY YOU CREATED IT AND DEVELOPED HIS BACKGROUND EVEN MORE …. somebody out there hates you
a/n: hhhh i wrote this in a pre-nanowrimo mania. wanted to post to ao3 but it’s acting weird so i thought i’d throw it up on the blog for now. notice me senpai fills me with joy, so i was inspired to make *~art~* the setting is anime japan so nothing is accurate and the points don’t matter (pssst! support me on ko-fi!)
Summary: Suzuki joins an anti-cafe out of curiosity and begins to re-evaluate his relationship with Yamato. Suzuki/Yamato (Idol Senpai/Rocker Senpai)
Suzuki didn’t go online that evening intending to join an anti-Suzuki fan café. He usually didn’t dwell on his haters at all. But tonight, curiosity got the better of him. He’d been trawling the net after a long practice when he stumbled across a link to the anti-site. (Suzuki liked to Google himself; so what?) When he followed it, he realized he couldn’t read any of the message boards without an account.
That’s a good thing, I guess, he thought. He didn’t really want to see what people were saying about him. He decided to forget about it and do his homework instead.
At least, that was what he tried to do. He kept thinking about it as he struggled over his assigned reading. What did they talk about? Did they make fun of his hair? His personality? Maybe they picked apart his lyrics. The longer he thought about it, the more he wanted to know.
Suzuki tossed his book aside and re-opened his laptop. He hadn’t closed the browser window. The link was still there. Yamato was always telling him to consider his weaknesses so he could improve. This could be beneficial. If Suzuki tried understanding where these people were coming from, he might be able to win them over, or at least get better at what he did.
It didn’t take much to make an account. He had to create a new email—he didn’t want his regular one linked to the site. After that, he spent half an hour trying to come up with a screen name. It was imperative that no one know who he really was. His usual handle—“SuzuStar”—would give him away like a shot. Suzuki was also disappointed to discover that “YamatoFan#1” was taken. Eventually, he settled on “notafan1234.”
Never having been on an anti-site before, Suzuki wasn’t sure what to expect. He was surprised by how plain it was. The header image was just the name of the page in bright red letters, along with a picture of his face with a “no” sign superimposed on it. He scrolled through the list of threads.
Break Suzuki’s new MV!
New Anti-Suzuki Memes
Worst Lyrics Poll (CLOSED)
Suzuki kept scrolling, horrified and fascinated. He found a thread titled “Important question for Yamato fans—should he be friends w/ Suzuki?” He clicked on it. He jumped when he saw the selfie he and Yamato had taken at the school festival. The original poster had written a caption beneath it.
Ugh. I don’t get why Yamato wastes his time with this guy. They don’t have anything in common.
A user named MerryPip added, Lol same. Yamato actually has talent.
Suzuki frowned.
They probably just hang out because they go to the same school, someone else said. Yamato doesn’t want to be mean.
Tbh, SuzuYama shippers make me sick.
Yamato shouldn’t keep feeding them by hanging out with him.
They only do it for fanservice. I bet it’s in their contracts.
Suzuki hadn’t been planning on responding to anyone, but the last comment had sent him over the edge. They had no right to question his friendship with Yamato. They didn’t know anything about him. He typed, Maybe Yamato and Suzuki are friends because they get along and like to hang out.
A response appeared in no time. As if, Lonelygrrl said. Suzuki is too much of a ditz to get along with Yamato. He totally cramps his style. Yamato is just humoring him because the fans like it.
Blood rushed to Yamato’s face. His fingers flew to the keys. That’s not true! How do you know Yamato is just pretending? You don’t have any proof. You’re just making stuff up!
The backlash was swift and immediate. A gallery of photos flooded the thread with red outlines drawn around Yamato’s eyes and mouth, along with whole paragraphs explaining why his smile was faked, or how he couldn’t stand to actually touch Suzuki.
His hand is just hovering here, Lonelygrrl wrote. All their selfies are faked. Their managers get together and tell them where to go. Like playdates.
Suzuki slammed the laptop closed. He sat back, fuming. When his head cooled, Suzuki reached for his phone. He wanted to ask Yamato about this. (Yamato was saved in his contacts as “Yama heart eyes emoji, guitar emoji.”)
Did u know there’s a whole website that hates me? Suzuki texted.
Yamato answered quickly: No, but I’m not surprised. There’s always haters. You find one?
Yeah. I made an account.
WTF why?
I wanted to see what they were saying.
Delete it. That’s a waste of time.
A waste of time. That’s what the anti-fans had said Yamato was doing by being Suzuki’s friend. He wanted to tell Yamato about it. But it had made him nervous. What if they were right? What if Yamato was only pretending to be friends with him? They’d become closer through school performances. Was that the only reason Yamato continued to hang out with him?
Suzuki texted back: Ur right. They’re just mean.
Don’t let it get to you. Some people have to be negative for no reason.
Suzuki put the phone aside. He wouldn’t go back on the site. He’d just forget about it. Yamato was his friend and that was that. It wouldn’t do him any good to second guess it. Suzuki opened the laptop one last time to close the browser. There were a few more replies.
Jesus, when will trolls learn not to come in here? MerryPip complained. Do. Not. Feed. The. Trolls.
I’m not a troll, Suzuki thought, closing the window. He would delete the account tomorrow. Right now, he needed to get back to work.
The next morning was rough. Suzuki hadn’t realized how much time had passed last night while he’d been reading the message boards, and by the time he completed his homework, it was 2AM. He shuffled into class, yawning.
“Late night?” Reiji asked as Suzuki walked past.
“It took me two hours to finish the reading.”
“Me, too!” Takeru said. “And when I finished, it felt like I didn’t understand it at all.” He looked over at Ren. “What did you think?”
Ren lifted his head slightly. “Huh? I didn’t finish. I fell asleep halfway through.”
“You’re kidding. We have a quiz on it today.”
“I can probably get a good enough grade with what I know.”
Suzuki spotted Yamato sitting on the windowsill. He had his guitar balanced in his lap and he was strumming it idly. The things Suzuki had read last night started to seep into his mind. He pushed them away. I’m not going to think about it.
“Yama-kun!” Suzuki called.
Yamato glanced up and smiled. It looked real. Relief washed over Suzuki as he walked over. Yamato continued plucking on the strings.
“Hey,” he said. “You look beat. What’s up?”
“I got distracted by the internet last night and did all my homework late.” Suzuki blushed. Yamato liked to tease him for being irresponsible sometimes. “But I did get it done!”
“Oh yeah. That site you texted me about. I hope you didn’t talk to anyone.”
Suzuki laughed nervously. “No. Why would I?”
“They’re trying to get a rise out of people. Starting an argument is just what they want.”
He laughed again, this time more forced.
Yamato tilted his head to the side. “You okay?”
“Yeah. It’s all good.” Suzuki waved a hand. “Let’s stop talking about it. Do you still want to go shopping today after class?”
“Sure. Just remember to change before we go out. I don’t want to get chased by your crazy fans again.”
“I wouldn’t forget,” Suzuki said. He winked and stuck his tongue out. “Are you sure you don’t like the exercise?”
“I’m sure.”
Yamato met him in front of the school after classes let out. No matter how many times they went out in public together, Yamato never stopped staring at Suzuki’s outfit. Suzuki didn’t understand why he rolled his eyes every time he saw it.
“What’s the matter? This is what I always wear,” he said.
“I know. That’s the problem. We’re getting you some new civilian clothes today.” Yamato grabbed the hem of Suzuki’s t-shirt and gave it a tug. “How many of these do you own?”
“A few.”
“You’re supposed to be in disguise. Why would you wear a shirt with your own face on it?”
“Because,” Suzuki said, lifting his index finger, “no one would ever suspect I’d wear my own merchandise. This face distracts them from looking at mine.”
“If you say so.” Yamato let go.
They walked into town, then took the train to the best shopping district. Though Yamato and Suzuki bought their clothes at different stores, they agreed that this part of the city had the best shops. The only problem was that it was crowded. Just getting off the train was a nightmare. Suzuki almost lost his hat.
“Is it just me or are there more people here today than usual?” he asked, squashing it back on his head.
“I think you’re right. There must be a promotion going on.” Yamato stretched to see over the crowd. “That one you like isn’t as busy. Let’s go to that one first.”
They pressed through the crowd. Suzuki bumped into a woman carrying a dozen bags and made her drop all of them. He spent a few minutes helping her pick them up while bowing and apologizing. She gave him a dirty look. He wondered if she would’ve been as mad if she knew who he was.
Or could she be one of the anti-fans?
Suzuki hadn’t thought about it before, but those names online had real people behind them. They could’ve been from his own school. It was scary to think about. There might be some in this crowd. Suzuki readjusted his mask and sunglasses, making sure his face was completely hidden.
“Suzu—!” Yamato cut himself off as he came jogging over. They’d gotten separated. “I turned around and you weren’t behind me.”
“Sorry. It’s hard to stick together in all this.”
Yamato sighed and looked around. Then he grabbed Suzuki’s hand. “Come on,” he said. “We need to get you a new shirt.”
The changing room was cold. Suzuki quickly pulled on one of the shirts he’d brought in. It was a purple galaxy print. There were three mirrors placed in the corner of the stall, giving him a rounded view. He was pretty satisfied with his appearance. Suzuki had often been told he had a good face. And his rigorous dance practices kept him in good shape. Yet…
Earlier, while Yamato was going through leather jackets, Suzuki had pulled up the anti-café on his phone. He needed to know if they knew where he was. His fans tended to track his movements. His haters might do the same thing.
Though there wasn’t anything about where he physically was, but there was a new thread: “Is Suzuki actually handsome? Yes/No?” He knew he shouldn’t read it. It didn’t matter what a handful of bitter people on the internet thought. But the urge was too strong.
It’s supposed to be his major selling point, but I’m a girl and I think he’s kind of lame.
His hair color looks so fake and not in a good way.
Didn’t he gain weight recently? No one’s gonna stick around if he keeps putting on the pounds XD
Imo he’s kind of short.
I’m 178 centimeters! That’s above average! Suzuki was shorter than Yamato, but that didn’t mean he was tiny. He remembered what Yamato had said about not engaging them. He wanted to set them straight.
The school festival selfie had reappeared. Suzuki had been proud of it at the time. His and Yamato’s costumes were perfectly coordinated, they’d posed in front of the best decorations in the classroom, and they’d gotten a perfect angle. This site didn’t seem to agree.
Look at this lame-ass Star Sailor costume.
I stg Suzuki drags Yamato into his weird interests all the time.
is it supposed to be funny? Who are they trying to appeal to?
It had taken every ounce of Suzuki’s self-control not to go off on them. Star Sailor was one of his great loves. It was one of Yamato’s as well. That was the whole reason they had coordinated their cosplays.
Unable to stomach any more, he had turned off the screen, gathered a few shirts and gone into the dressing room. He examined himself in the mirror. He still looked fine. Suzuki plucked a strand of hair. Was it too yellow?
He took off the galaxy shirt and pinched his stomach. Suzuki wasn’t as muscular as boys like Makoto or Katsuo, but he had a lithe figure. Nothing seemed to have changed. Sometimes Suzuki’s manager warned him not to indulge his sweet tooth too much. Maybe he should start taking that message more to heart. He felt a pang of loss just considering skipping the cakes at the school’s café.
Suzuki shook his head. He was letting the anti-site get to him.
When he emerged from the dressing room, he spotted Yamato coming over, his arms weighed down with jackets and black jeans. He eyed Suzuki’s pile.
“Did you find anything good?” he asked.
“I like this one.” Suzuki pointed at the galaxy shirt. “What do you think?”
Yamato shrugged. “You look good in everything.”
“Aw, Yama-kun, you’re so sweet!” Suzuki said in an over-the-top cutesy voice. He shimmied his shoulders for extra effect.
Yamato rolled his eyes and gave Suzuki a light smack on the arm. He disappeared behind the curtain. Suzuki put away the clothes he didn’t want while he waited. He wondered if Yamato had hate sites, too. It didn’t seem possible. Yamato was so handsome and talented; it was hard to imagine a bunch of people getting together just to make fun of him.
Suzuki pulled out his phone again. He went through his pictures until he found another selfie he’d taken with Yamato. It was from the last time Yamato had hung out at his house. Suzuki hadn’t made it public. He didn’t know why. It was a good picture. There wasn’t anything scandalous or illegal in it.
He supposed he hadn’t wanted to share it because it felt more personal than the others. They were both in sweatshirts and pajama pants, their faces lit up by the blue light from Suzuki’s TV. Suzuki was leaning heavily on Yamato, who was grinning at the camera. Suzuki was smiling fondly up at Yamato.
If those jerks online could see this picture, they’d realize Yamato wasn’t faking his feelings of friendship. Suzuki couldn’t post it, though. This picture was just for him and Yamato, no one else. He sighed and closed the photo gallery.
Yamato came out of the dressing room. “I’m ready if you are,” he said.
“Are you buying anything?” Suzuki asked as he headed for the counter.
Yamato shook his head. “I’m going to shop around a bit more. Do you want to get some bubble tea after the next stop?”
“Only if we go to that one place next to the arcade.”
“Okay, but you’re not dragging me into another DDR competition.”
Suzuki put his arm around Yamato’s shoulders. “Come on, you’re not that bad. You almost beat me last time.”
Yamato shook his head. He copied Suzuki’s gesture, linking them closer together. He gave Suzuki’s back a pat. “I’ll leave the dancing to the trained idol. Some other time. Now go, it’s your turn.” He nudged Suzuki forward.
Suzuki reluctantly let go of Yamato. He brought his shirts to the girl working the cash register. She smiled at him.
“You and your friend are cute,” she said as she rung him up.
“Thanks! I try.”
She giggled. “Have a nice day.”
“Did you flirt your way to a discount?” Yamato asked.
Suzuki’s eyes widened behind his sunglasses. “You can do that?”
“No, idiot.” Yamato took Suzuki’s hand again. “Maybe you could, but I wouldn’t. I hope she didn’t recognize you.”
“She didn’t. If she had, she would’ve asked for an autograph.”
They could never get a seat by the windows, otherwise their combined fans would fill the restaurant. Suzuki was half thankful for the privacy it afforded them, but they had to sit in a dim corner where there wasn’t much space. One of Yamato’s legs rested against one of his own.
“What kind did you get?” Suzuki asked.
Yamato glanced up from his phone. “Honeydew. You wanna try it?”
“Sure.” Suzuki took a sip from Yamato’s bubble tea. They had never worried about germs. The tea was perfectly sweet and mellow. He passed it back, a smile on his lips.
“You know, that’s the first time you smiled this afternoon,” Yamato said. “It feels like you’ve been gloomy ever since we left school.”
“Really?” He hadn’t noticed. “I guess I’m just tired. We’re already talking about the next comeback.”
“They should let you have a break. I’ve been talking to my agency about a vacation.” Yamato lowered his phone and met Suzuki’s eyes. “We could go somewhere. Hawai’i maybe. I’ve always wanted to do a shark tour.”
Suzuki shuddered. “That’s scary!”
“They put you in a cage. It’s not dangerous.”
“You can do that. I want to get a tan.”
Yamato knocked his leg against Suzuki’s. “But you’d want to go? With me?”
“Of course.”
Yamato’s eyes lit up. He smiled. “Awesome. We can get it cleared with your manager. There’s a little while before our next break. We could go then if your team says it’s okay.”
Hawai’I with Yamato. Suzuki imagined what it might be like. Sun, sand, and the ocean. Swimsuits. Sleeping in. Hawai’ian food. He sighed wistfully. Ever since he had first seen travel programs for it on TV, he’d always wanted to go. The best part might be going with Yamato. They could run around together as much as they wanted. They’d have their own hotel room.
“Will you ask your manager about it?” Yamato said, pressing Suzuki’s leg again. He was chewing on the corner of his lip.
“I will. I’ll text her now.” Suzuki fished his phone from his jacket pocket. He braced his leg against Yamato’s. He took comfort in the pressure. Yamato was strong. It felt good to lean on him.
Some of the other guys invited them to karaoke after school that weekend. It was Hajime’s idea apparently, which meant he’d roped in Soujiro, who was bringing the twins, and so on and so on. Things usually turned out this way. If someone mentioned a party, everyone ended up unofficially invited. Ikemen wasn’t a small school, but word spread quickly, and the upperclassmen were all connected by a web of association.
Suzuki didn’t remember who specifically asked him and Yamato if they wanted to tag along. It might’ve been Ai. Anyway, they showed up at the karaoke place after everyone else had already arrived thanks to an unexpected fangirl sighting.
“You guys are late,” Tokiya said.
“We just got chased halfway across the city,” Yamato said, tossing his jacket onto one of the couches. “Give us a break.”
Suzuki removed his mask, sunglasses, and hat. He took stock of the group. Ai had brought Tokiya and Ryuu, but Kurou was nowhere to be seen, meaning there’d be a fight later. (Ryuu and Tokiya always fought.) Soujiro and the twins were there, wearing casual clothes for once. Yuu and Baa had shown up as well. Suzuki would never get over the goat head. Takeru was there, probably having heard about the outing through word of mouth.
“Sorry, we ordered food without you,” he said.
“It’s fine. We can get something later.”
Suzuki settled in beside Yamato. He had asked his manager about the vacation. She hadn’t gotten back to him yet. He was starting to get nervous. Running from their fans earlier had only made Suzuki want it more. After this comeback. If the single does well, then I earned it. She can’t say no.
The other third-years had already lined up a decent list of songs. They must have been feeling nostalgic, since most of the music was from the 80s and 90s. Takeru, being Takeru, shared some of his food with Yamato and Suzuki while Hajime launched into a heart-felt ballad at the top of his lungs.
It was times like these that made Suzuki wish he wasn’t an idol. Being a senior in high school wasn’t easy, but there was so much more freedom. You definitely didn’t get hate comments. You could hang out with whoever you wanted. You didn’t get chased when you went outside. He could never just quit though. He loved music. He loved performing. But it was nice to just be with friends and not on a stage.
Yamato nudged him with his elbow. “Are you going to sing?”
“Obviously!” Suzuki hopped up. “I wonder if they have one of your songs on the machine.”
“Ooh, do it!” Ai said.
Yamato looked embarrassed. “Come on…”
“What?” Suzuki scrolled through the song list. “Are you scared I’m gonna ruin it? I’ll let you cover one of mine?”
“You should do a duet,” Hajime said. “Give us the collab everyone’s been waiting for!”
Takeru nodded in agreement and Ai applauded. “Yeah!” he said. “Do that!”
Yamato got up and walked over to the screen, picking up a microphone for himself. “Pick something we both know. One that’s in my range.”
Suzuki kept scrolling. They had a couple of his songs, as well as a few of Yama’s, but none of them were duets. Then he spotted something. He let out a cry of excitement.
“Yama! The Star Sailor duet! From the musical.” He grabbed Yamato’s upper arm and squeezed it insistently. “Remember? The part where Selena hears Damian join her from offstage, and then he comes down from the ceiling?” He shook Yamato’s arm for emphasis. “Let’s do this one. Please?”
“Wait, you’ve seen the Star Sailor musical?” Ryuu asked with a smirk.
Yamato blushed. “It’s good,” he muttered. To Suzuki, he said, “You really want to do this one? It’s kind of…”
“I know all the words,” Suzuki said proudly. “I could sing it without looking at the screen.”
Yamato still looked hesitant. An upsetting thought reared its ugly head. Suzuki remembered the discussion in the anti-café, about their Star Sailor cosplay. I stg Suzuki drags Yamato into his weird interests all the time. Suzuki’s heart sank. What if Yama really was only going along with it to humor him? Liking a sparkly and romantic mahou shojo wasn’t Yamato’s style. And he probably hadn’t wanted to broadcast any interest in it.
“Um, we don’t have to,” Suzuki said. He reached out to scroll down the list again. “There’s probably another song we can both sing in here.”
“No,” Yamato blurted, color still high in his cheeks. “I want to do this one.”
“Are you sure?”
Yamato nodded. “You can have Selena’s part. The notes are too high for me.”
Relief washed over Suzuki. He might be humoring you again, a mean voice whispered in the back of his head. He tried to ignore it. As long as he got to sing with Yamato, he didn’t really care. He pressed play.
They might have been in a random karaoke room, surrounded by classmates, but Suzuki poured his heart into the performance. He loved the Star Sailor musical. He thought it was hopelessly romantic. Especially the part where Damian appeared. Suzuki started the duet and Yamato jumped in after a few bars. His voice was perfect for the song. It was like he really was Damian.
If Yamato had seemed uncomfortable before, he had shaken it off. He sang with confidence, turning to face Suzuki and holding out his hand. A thrill went through Suzuki as he took it. Yamato even twirled him under his arm. They could have been onstage. Suzuki had no trouble imagining Yamato in the top hat and mask (seeing as he’d worn the costume before). He also had no trouble seeing why Yamato’s fans left strings of hearts in the comments on his selfie posts.
Suzuki was starting to feel lightheaded. It might’ve been because the room was hot, or all his breath was going into the duet, but at the same time, he knew that wasn’t the real reason. Yamato drew him in a step closer. They were reaching the end of the song.
In the musical, Selena and Damian ended their duet by putting their foreheads together, eyes closed. Then, just before the stage lights dimmed, they would kiss. It was cheated, covered by strategic hand placement, but Suzuki squealed every time. Now, as his head came to rest against Yamato’s, he had a crazy idea.
What if Yamato kissed him?
Suzuki’s heart started to pound. Yamato’s face was so close to his. It would take just a tiny movement for their lips to touch. Even though the actors usually closed their eyes, Yamato was looking straight at him, and Suzuki couldn’t tear his gaze away. He’d forgotten everyone in the room. They might as well have been alone.
Then, the last note of the song faded. Yamato stepped back. Suzuki released a breath he hadn’t realized he’d been holding. Yamato’s hand was still in his. Suzuki was shaking. All around them, the other third-years applauded. Someone whistled.
Suzuki came back to himself just in time. He raised his and Yama’s hands between them and swept into a low bow. “Thank you, thank you,” he said. “We’ll be here all week.”
“You guys were great!” Tokiya said. “It was just like seeing the actual musical. Right, Ryuu?”
Ryuu shrugged. “Don’t ask me. I’ve never watched Star Sailor live.”
“Oh really? Then what was that about telling Kurou how much you liked the actress that played Queen Pyrite?”
Ryuu’s mouth opened and shut indignantly. He turned away to hide the blush that had spread across his face. “Shut up, Tokiya.”
Yamato insisted on walking Suzuki home. None of their fans appeared, so it was an uneventful journey, but Suzuki’s heart hadn’t stopped racing. Yamato was at his side, keeping pace and chatting about his plans for a new song. Suzuki only half-registered the words he was saying. The rest of his mind was occupied with the ups and downs of his voice, his smile, the way the streetlights made his hair glow.
Suzuki remembered how Yamato had held his hand earlier and while they were shopping and wished Yamato would do it again. It had felt nice. He was tempted to bridge the distance between them, to reach out and mesh their fingers. Suzuki put his hands in his pockets instead.
Could friends hold hands whenever? He didn’t think there was anything weird about it, but most of the people he saw holding hands were couples. He could ask Yamato, but that seemed awkward. Why was he even getting the urge to hold hands in the first place?
“Suzuki?” Yamato had somehow ended up behind him. His brow was furrowed in concern. “Isn’t this your place?”
Suzuki looked back. He’d kept walking past his house. “Oh,” he said, grinning sheepishly. “Sorry, I was distracted. Thinking about stuff.” He jogged back.
“You’re such an airhead,” Yamato said warmly. He ground his knuckles against the sides of Suzuki’s head, not hard enough to hurt. “What would you do without me?”
Suzuki laughed, swatting Yamato’s hands away. “Mean! That’s it, we’re rivals now.”
Yamato smirked. “I couldn’t be your rival. I’d crush you, and I don’t have the heart to do that. It’d be like kicking a puppy.”
“Woof!” Suzuki’s chest grew arm as Yamato burst into a fit of giggles.
Yamato took off his cap and mussed his hair. “Go on, your mom’s probably worried you got kidnapped by a crazy fan.”
“Text me when you get home,” Suzuki said.
“Will do. See you at school.”
Suzuki watched Yamato go until he vanished around a street corner.
Yamato texted him about twenty minutes later to let him know he’d arrived home safely. Suzuki tried to do his homework, but his thoughts were a jumble. He couldn’t concentrate. After an hour of struggling, he took a bath and changed for bed. If he couldn’t do his homework, he’d go to sleep now and wake up early to finish. And yet…
Suzuki lay on his back, staring at the ceiling. What had happened tonight was different from how things usually went between him and Yamato. He remembered the light, fluttery feeling in his chest when Yamato had held his hand, and how it had doubled when their foreheads were together. He remembered looking into Yamato’s eyes as they’d sung the Star Sailor duet at the karaoke place.
Friends didn’t react that way. Suzuki knew that. A friend didn’t set your heart racing just by touching you. They didn’t spawn butterflies in your stomach. Suzuki was starting to tremble just thinking about it. Heat burned up his neck to his ears.
If he was being honest with himself, he had imagined kissing Yamato before. It was impossible not to. There was a whole legion of fans who thought they should be a couple. Suzuki had never missed an opportunity to please them. He thought it was actually rather sweet. Yamato had laughed at first, but in general had approached the whole thing with good humor. With that sort of thing going on, it was hard not to imagine what it might be like if they actually were together.
Yamato seemed like he’d be a good kisser. He’d probably kissed lots of girls. Had he ever kissed another boy before? Probably not. Suzuki touched his lips. He had faked kisses with girls for MVs, but had never done it seriously. Yamato might laugh at his inexperience.
But he might also smile as he kissed him. He might hold Suzuki to him in a firm embrace, stroking his hair. He might also push Suzuki against a wall and kiss him fiercely, channeling the energy of his music into Suzuki until they were both breathless.
Suzuki opened his eyes. He hadn’t realized he’d closed them. He took a deep breath in, then let it out. His imagination usually didn’t go that far. Suzuki felt a little uncomfortable. It was probably wrong for him to think of Yamato like that, but now that he’d started he couldn’t stop.
He pictured being able to hold hands with Yamato all the time, not just in a crowd, kisses before class, cuddling with each other while they watched movies… His heart surged. The thought of being with Yamato as more than a friend had made him so happy he couldn’t want anything else.
Suzuki wasn’t stupid. Maybe somewhat naive at times, but not stupid. He knew what he was experiencing. He loved Yamato. He had been loving Yamato for a long time now. Why shouldn’t he? Yamato was so artistic and brilliant and kind. It was just now occurring to him that his feelings ran over the edges of platonic affection into something else.
At the same time, Suzuki knew he couldn’t tell him. Yamato couldn’t possibly return his feelings. Even if he did, they couldn’t date without it being plastered over every magazine cover and celebrity news website. He thought of the message boards on the anti-Suzuki site. Those people would riot if Suzuki even hinted at the idea of loving Yamato. They might even go so far as to threaten him. And, worst of all, what if they were right? What if Yamato was only his friend because he had to be?
Suzuki didn’t want to believe it. He refused to. But the seeds of doubt had been sown. If he confessed to Yamato, and what those people online said was true, then he’d just humiliate himself. They’d never be able to hang out again. Suzuki feared that the most. He’d rather hold these feelings inside rather than run the risk of losing Yamato’s friendship.
He rolled over and buried his face in his pillow. If he stayed like this long enough, maybe he would smother himself and never have to think of it again. He lifted his head eventually. It got too uncomfortable.
“I’ll just keep going like everything’s the same,” Suzuki said out loud. “He’ll never find out and we’ll keep being friends. I won’t have to give him up.”
Still, the resolution filled him with pain. He would never have that relationship with Yamato. It wasn’t going to be easy. Yamato would only have to touch him to send ripples of longing through Suzuki. He would have to train himself not to react, not to reciprocate where it wasn’t wanted.
He got up and found his MP3 player in his backpack. He put his earbuds in. Suzuki had every single album Yamato had released. He started with the first one, for nostalgia’s sake. As he listened, he imagined Yamato was singing just for him.
Pretending everything was normal was a lot harder than Suzuki realized. Yamato was everywhere. They were in class together all day, ate together during lunch, and even hung out after school. Suzuki didn’t want to stop hanging out with him; that would just make Yamato suspicious. But it was getting more and more difficult to focus on history and science when they studied together.
They were at Yamato’s apartment that afternoon. Yamato lived alone, which Suzuki used to think was a good thing, since there was no one to bother them if they decided to stay up all night watching anime. Now, he desperately wished there was someone to ward away his thoughts of kissing Yamato.
Yamato ran his fingers through his hair. He looked frustrated. “I’m not getting it,” he said. “What about you?”
Suzuki shook his head. He hadn’t even been trying. The whole study session was turning out to be counterproductive. How do people with crushes survive?
“Do you want to take a break and play Mario Kart?”
Suzuki shoved his notebook aside. “Absolutely.”
Hopefully, a game would keep his mind off of contemplating the feel of Yamato’s lips against his. He settled into Yamato’s couch, controller in hand. They weren’t competitive with each other in any area except Mario Kart. Soon, he’d want to strangle Yamato instead of make-out with him.
The plan worked, for a little while. Suzuki got swept up in the races, he and Yamato resorting to cheating by bumping into each other in real life and trying to wrestle the controllers out of each other’s hands. It was just like how things had been before. Suzuki relaxed.
However, things took a turn when Yamato hit him with a shell, right before Suzuki was about to win Rainbow Road. Bowser dashed across the finish line while Princess Peach was still spinning out. Suzuki threw down his controller and started pummeling Yamato lightly with his fists.
“I hate you! I hate you, I hate you, I hate you!”
“I’m just playing the game,” Yamato laughed.
“That was my win, you cheater!”
“Shells are a part of the game. You hit me with a blue shell a couple tracks ago. How is this any different?” Yamato grabbed Suzuki’s wrists. “You still got second place.”
“I should’ve been first,” Suzuki said. “I did the shortcut and everything.” He struggled against Yamato’s hold. “Let me go. I’m not done beating you up.”
Yamato pushed him backwards, pinning him to the couch. He hovered over Suzuki. “Oh yeah? I’d like to see you try. When you were hitting me, it felt like being stung by a mosquito.”
Suzuki went red. He tried to break free, but Yamato was strong. He went redder as he became more aware of their position. What was this, a scene out of a shojo manga?
“Okay, okay,” he said hastily. “You win. Fair and square. Can you get off me?”
Yamato let go. He leaned back. Suzuki lay there for a second longer, trying to catch his breath. Had he actually been wanting Yamato to kiss him like that? To just lean down and…
Suzuki shook his head. He had to get out of here before he did something stupid. He sat up. “Um, I should probably head home. I promised Mom I’d eat dinner with her tonight. She says she barely gets to see me.”
“Oh.” Yamato sounded disappointed. “It’s still early.”
Suzuki coughed. “Yeah. I said I’d help her cook, too.”
“Alright. I’ll walk you.” Yamato started to get up.
“Ah, no thanks!” Suzuki squeaked. He winced at the sound of his own voice. What was wrong with him? “I can make it on my own. I have my disguise and everything.”
“Are you sure?”
Suzuki nodded. He gathered his notebook and school things as quickly as possible. “I’ll see you at school tomorrow! Good luck on the physics homework.”
Yamato followed him to the door. “Text me when you get home?”
“Sure!” Suzuki chirped (too brightly, he realized). Then, before he could embarrass himself any further, he rushed out the door.
Suzuki made good on his word to help his mother make dinner. She’d been surprised to see him home so early, but glad to spend time with him as well. Suzuki’s schedule was so hectic that they rarely ate dinner together, let alone cooked together. He wasn’t as good as Souma in the kitchen, but he managed.
A part of him wanted to tell her about Yamato. He had a good opportunity to when she asked how he was doing. In the end, he said Yamato was doing fine and left it at that. He didn’t want to bother his mom with that kind of thing. (Truth be told, he was embarrassed to mention having a crush in the first place.)
After dinner, he holed himself up in his room. Suzuki knew it was the last thing he needed right now, but he logged back onto the anti-café. No one had banned him yet. Suzuki hadn’t commented since that first time, so they’d probably forgotten he was there.
It was full of the usual hatred and vitriol. Suzuki picked a thread railing against his and Yamato’s relationship. He scrolled through it for a while, his heart sinking lower and lower until it reached the Earth’s core. They despised the idea of him and Yamato together, whether they were friends or dating.
It can never happen, Suzuki thought. His fans might turn on him.
Suzuki finally closed the thread. Then, because he had no one else to turn to, he texted Jae. Jae was currently in South Korea, visiting family and the other members of his group. Suzuki hoped he wasn’t too busy.
Hey sunbae, Suzuki wrote, do you ever get hate comments?
It didn’t take long for Jae to text back. oh totally. happens all the time.
How do you deal with them?
i try to ignore it. block out the haters
It was good advice. A no-brainer, honestly, if only Suzuki could follow it. have you ever found a whole site that hates you? an anti café?
man don’t tell me you have one of those. you’re a ray of sunshine! how could anyone make a whole anti-café devoted to you?
Idk either. It’s really been getting me down. What should I do?
Jae spent a long time typing. Suzuki watched the little ellipses dance while he waited. Eventually, Jae wrote back, you can always block the site or their comments. it’s nothing to be ashamed of. you don’t owe them anything tbh. if they’re not actually sending you constructive criticism, if all they’re doing is trying to tear you down, then kick ‘em to the curb ㅋㅋㅋ seriously tho, don’t read that stuff. it breaks my heart that anyone could be so mean to my hoobae
T^T you’re the best jae-sunbae, Suzuki replied.
i try 😉 is there anything else i can help with?
Suzuki hesitated. He could trust Jae with anything. But could he trust him with this? Maybe if he was vague, Jae wouldn’t realize who Suzuki was talking about. He took a deep breath and wrote, yeah. Have you ever had a crush on someone who’s like, your friend?
are we talking about yama?
Suzuki nearly dropped his phone. He typed a response with trembling fingers. Haha nooooooo where did you get that idea? I’m talking hypothetically.
sure, ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), Jae replied. so in this hypothetical situation, is the crusher a j-idol and the crushee a rockstar?
(^◇^;) no…
suzuki literally everyone on the planet thinks you guys are dating. even my mom thinks so.
Suzuki huffed. That doesn’t make it true! he typed. Answer my question: did you ever have a crush on a friend, yes/no?
Again, it took a while for Jae to reply. yep! didn’t work out but hey! it was someone else in the music scene. you know how it is. not that you should get discouraged! you and yamato would be super cute together.
Suzuki blushed. He thought for a while about what he should say. He typed out, do you really think so? what if a lot of people got mad?
you shouldn’t care about what other people think. it’s your personal life.
What if, hypothetically, it’s just one-sided and I ruin our whole friendship?
i doubt it would ruin your friendship, Jae wrote. i’m 99.9% sure yama likes you. have you seen how he looks in your selfies? heart eyes <3
Suzuki’s blush deepened. No way. Jae was just trying to make him feel better. Then again, the duet in the karaoke room gave him a sliver of hope. But that was a performance. They were acting like Damian and Selena.
What about the other 1%? Suzuki wrote.
you doubt my judgment?? look, even if he doesn’t feel that way about you, your friendship won’t tank just because of a little crush. not if it’s real and i think it is.
Okay. Thanks again, sunbae <3 I’ll let you get back to whatever you were doing.
anytime! it’s good to be home, but i miss everyone over there TT take care of yourself!
Suzuki locked his phone screen and lay down. Talking to Jae had helped, but he still couldn’t bring himself to confess to Yamato. He didn’t understand how Jae could be so confident when his own crush hadn’t worked out. He knew just as well as Suzuki how hard it was for idols to date normally.
Even if Yamato liked me back, I’d get flayed alive. Probably by my manager, too. His manager still hadn’t given him the green light on the vacation. Suzuki was starting to think that was her way of saying no. It might be better if he didn’t go. Hawai’i was a romantic place, right? What if Suzuki got carried away and blurted his feelings? It would defeat the purpose of a relaxing getaway.
I should tell Yamato I can’t come with. Suzuki would do it tomorrow, at school. He’d rip the band-aid off, so to speak, and get it over with. Hopefully Yamato wouldn’t be too disappointed.
Suzuki didn’t get a chance to tell Yamato the next day, because Yamato was suddenly super busy. He was on the phone with someone before class started, and he spent every break scribbling in his notebook. He disappeared during lunch before Suzuki could even ask if they were going to eat together. It wasn’t that strange, really. 3-A was full of students with irregular schedules. For example, Takahiro had taken off for some part-time job earlier.
However, Yamato wasn’t there the next day either, so Suzuki couldn’t tell him then, either. And then Suzuki had to skip a day to spend it in a recording studio. He considered texting Yamato about it, but he would rather tell him in person. It seemed a bit too important not to discuss face-to-face.
Suzuki finally got a chance when he and Yamato both arrived late in the school day. He guessed Yamato must have been recording something as well. He was dressed down from his usual leather jacket and had left out a few piercings. He only did that when he had an early morning session.
“Are you free to walk home today, Yama?” Suzuki asked as they jogged up the stairs to 3-A. “There’s something I need to talk to you about.”
“Today’s no good.”
“What about tomorrow morning?”
Yamato shook his head. “Busy. Sorry.”
Suzuki paused. “What’s going on? Are you prepping a new release?”
Yamato didn’t answer. He just kept going. Suzuki stared at his retreating back. What was the big secret? Yamato usually shared any and all details about his projects. He’d been talking about a new song after karaoke. Were the two related, or was this another thing altogether?
What if I made him uncomfortable? Suzuki thought, gripped by terror. Or what if Jae was trying to be helpful and told him I have a crush on him? He knew he was jumping to conclusions. Yamato was busy; that was all. Even so, he felt nervous. Why hadn’t Yamato answered him?
Suzuki investigated Yamato’s fansites. He wasn’t making special appearances anywhere. There were no concert announcements. Not even a rumor of an album release. So what was he doing? He hadn’t walked home with Suzuki or asked him over for a while. They didn’t even have lunch together anymore.
A sick, heavy dread settled in Suzuki’s stomach as he logged onto the anti-café. It got worse. The café was overjoyed.
No suzuyama sightings lately! He finally dropped him!
Heard rumors from school that they’re split up.
Maybe S*zuki will take a hint and stop clinging to Yamato like a puppy
It’d be like kicking a puppy. Suzuki’s mouth went dry. He tossed his phone into his backpack. Did Yamato really see him as a dog, stupidly following him everywhere? He’d played along with the joke that time, but now it stung.
“Romantic troubles?”
Suzuki jumped a foot. Ai was standing right behind him, his quiver slung across his back. He didn’t wait for an invitation to take the empty seat next to Suzuki. Suzuki had thought he’d been alone in this courtyard, but Ai must have had a tracking device implanted in every boy in school.
“I’m not having romantic troubles,” Suzuki lied.
Ai smiled skeptically. “It’s about Yamato, isn’t it?”
Am I really that obvious? Suzuki’s shoulders sagged. “Not you, too.”
“What, is it a secret? Even that nice girl at the café knows.”
Suzuki put his face in his hands. If everyone knew then how could Yamato not? He’s avoiding me, since he realized I’m bad for his image.
Ai patted his knee. “Cheer up! You could do a lot worse than Yamato.”
“Not if he hates me!”
“Why do you think he hates you?”
“He’s been avoiding me,” Suzuki said. “At first, I thought he was working on something, but he wouldn’t tell me anything about it. And don’t say he’s throwing me a surprise party. My birthday isn’t coming up.”
“Hmm, that’s tricky.” Ai rubbed his chin. “He usually shares all his projects with you, right? Maybe he’s seeing someone else?”
Suzuki went cold. He hadn’t considered that possibility. Had Yamato started dating and not told him? No, that couldn’t be. Someone would’ve snapped a picture or started a rumor by now, and the fansites were quiet.
“No.” He shook his head. “He would’ve told me for sure.”
Ai shrugged. “Then he’s probably busy. You shouldn’t get too worked up, Suzuki. Guys like him sometimes have trouble communicating their feelings. He might be focusing so hard that he hasn’t had time to tell you about it. Kurou does the same thing. He gets tunnel-vision when he’s working on a play.”
It made Suzuki feel a little better, but it didn’t inspire confidence. He couldn’t shake the feeling that Yamato was purposefully ducking him.
“Anyway, I’m meeting Sousuke for an archery showdown,” Ai said, standing up. “He’s going to regret challenging me. Are you going to be okay?”
Suzuki nodded. “Thanks for the advice, Ai. Good luck.”
Ai shot him a thumbs-up before he left. Suzuki remained where he was. He didn’t know how long he sat in the courtyard, staring at the flowerbeds. His phone buzzed, snapping him out of it.
It was Yamato. Suzuki had been expecting his manager. His heart thumped rapidly. He opened the message. Hey Suzuki, can you come to the music room?
He was torn. Should he go? Yamato had asked him, but what if it was just to say that they shouldn’t hang out anymore. Or worse, that he didn’t return Suzuki’s feelings, which were apparently so obvious that they could be seen from space? Eventually, Suzuki gathered his courage and went to the music room.
School had finished for the day, so the music room was deserted, except for Yamato and Suzuki. It was quiet. All the clubs were meeting on the other side of Ikemen. Yamato was leaning against the piano, fiddling something. When Suzuki got closer, he realized it was his MP3 player.
“Hey,” Yamato said. He sounded nervous. “Sorry for ghosting you. I was working on an important project.”
A bit of relief crept into Suzuki’s veins. “Really? Why didn’t you just say so?”
Yamato blushed. “Well, uh, it was kind of a surprise. I didn’t know whether it would work out. I, um… here.” He held out the MP3 player. “Listen.”
Suzuki took it. He put an earbud in. There was only one track on the device, untitled. He hit play. A second later, the sound of Yamato’s voice filled his ears. Yamato’s singing voice was wonderful and familiar, but the backing track didn’t sound like his style at all. It sounded more like Suzuki’s music than his, though there was a hint of Yamato there, too. The more Suzuki listened, the more it grew on him. The lyrics were about stars burning bright for centuries, their light stretching across galaxies long after their death, and gazing at the same sky as someone you loved. A lump formed in his throat.
“What do you think?” Yamato asked when Suzuki finished.
“Amazing, like always,” Suzuki said. “Is this going to be on your next album?”
“Actually…” Yamato scuffed the floor. “I was thinking it could be on yours. I wrote it for you to sing, if you want it. I figured it was the least I could do, after you made me that mixtape for my birthday.”
Suzuki couldn’t believe it. Yamato had written him a song. Not just one to listen to, but one to sing. The lump in his throat got bigger. “W-what’s the occasion?” he asked, his voice trembling.
“No reason. I just wanted to do something special, I guess. Do you like it?”
Suzuki nodded vigorously. He couldn’t speak. Before he could stop himself, tears began to flow down his cheeks. I’m so dumb. I thought he was ditching me this whole time, and he was working on a song. For me. He covered his face, but it didn’t stop the noise from escaping. It was like a dam had burst; all of Suzuki’s feelings rushed out in one go.
“What are you crying for?” Yamato asked, gently removing Suzuki’s hands from his face.
Suzuki hiccupped. He was so embarrassed. He hadn’t meant to cry. “I…” he tried to say. “I was afraid you were tired of me.”
Yamato sighed. “I’m not tired of you, Suzu. Have you been paying attention to what those losers online are saying? I told you they’re full of it. Come here.”
He folded Suzuki into his arms. Suzuki let out another involuntary sob. He buried his face in Yamato’s shoulder. It was sturdy and strong. His t-shirt was soft. Yamato alternated between patting his back and rubbing circles.
Eventually, Suzuki cried himself out. He stepped back. Yamato let him go, but he kept his hands on Suzuki’s arms. He was looking at him with concern.
“Are you okay?”
Suzuki nodded and sniffed. “I’ll be fine. I didn’t want it to get to me, but I guess…”
“They’re just bitter and pathetic people who have nothing better to do with their time.” Yamato gathered Suzuki’s hands and held them against his chest. “They’re not real. This is. And any fan of mine who talks that way about you isn’t a real fan. If they can’t love you as much as I do, then that’s their problem.”
Suzuki blinked. He wanted to wipe away a few stray tears, but he didn’t want Yamato to let go of him. “You love me?” he asked, half-stunned.
The realization seemed to come over Yamato at the exact same moment. A blush covered his cheeks. “Did I say that?”
“You did.”
“Well… I mean, of course I do. You’re my best friend.” To Suzuki’s dismay, Yamato dropped his hands. He ran his fingers through his hair, disturbing the spikes. “I thought you already knew that.”
“I do now.” Suzuki smiled, trying to mask his disappointment. I shouldn’t be disappointed at all. Yamato’s friendship is super important to me, too. “I love you, too.”
Yamato blushed deeper. “Alright, alright. Let’s not get carried away.”
Suzuki laughed. This was good. He knew now that Yamato wasn’t going to abandon him. They were still friends. They could continue performing together at school. It would be fun. At least I had a chance to say it to him out loud, even if he doesn’t know how much I really mean it.
Suzuki blocked the anti-café. He had to stop using it to punish himself. Besides, he couldn’t forgive them for leading him to believe Yamato didn’t care about him. He made sure to delete his account too, just in case the urge overpowered him, and he lifted the block.
It’s been fun, he thought. He instantly felt better. Things returned to normal. Suzuki approached his manager with Yamato’s song. He leaned heavily on the idea of marketing it as a collaboration and watched as the yen signs appeared in her eyes. After that, she shocked him by giving him permission to go to Hawai’i.
“If the song does well, we’ll find time for a vacation,” she promised. “I couldn’t answer you before, since there was a lot up in the air, but you deserve some time off.”
“And I can go with Yamato?”
“If your schedules line up, I don’t see why not.”
The next morning, he told Yamato by throwing himself into his arms and shouting, “We’re going to Hawai’i!”
“Your manager said yes?” Yamato said, brightening.
Suzuki nodded. “She said that if the collab works out, then I can go with you. As long as we’re free at the same time. Hawai’i, Yama! Hawai’i!”
Yamato actually swung him around the classroom but stopped short when their homeroom teacher gave them a death-glare. Suzuki let go and jumped back.
“Oops. Sorry, sensei.”
“You’d better concentrate on passing your exams before talking about Hawai’i,” the teacher warned. “And don’t do that again. You could’ve knocked over the desks.”
It didn’t bring Suzuki’s mood down at all. He was walking on air. Later, when his and Yama’s managers called about some kind of music industry party, he agreed to go without hesitation. Yamato was a little more reluctant, but he caved when Suzuki said they could go together.
All in all, life was good. Suzuki still wanted to kiss Yamato. He still wanted to hug him as tightly as possible and tell him how he felt, but he couldn’t bear to mess everything up. Why sabotage a good thing? Yamato clearly only thought of him as a friend.
And that was fine. Everything was fine.
Suzuki enjoyed getting dressed up for public appearances. Yamato didn’t. He always looked uncomfortable in suits. Uncomfortable, yet handsome. Suzuki’s heart felt like it was going to leap out of his chest.
“I hate ties,” Yamato muttered, playing with the end of his.
“Then don’t wear one,” Suzuki said. He stepped forward and undid the knot. “It’s a formal party, but no one will care. See, I think you look just fine without it. Undo a couple buttons, and voila! Rock superstar Yamato is red carpet ready!”
Suzuki might have been mistaken, but Yamato appeared flustered. He turned towards the limousine their managers had arranged to drive them to the event and held open the door for Suzuki.
“After you,” he said.
It was after sunset and traffic was bad. Suzuki checked the time. Unless they learned how to teleport, they were going to be late. Oh well, in that case they’d make an even more striking entrance. Suzuki stretched out, putting his feet up on the seat. They were barely moving.
Yamato, meanwhile, was reading something on his phone. Suzuki didn’t know what it was, but it appeared to be irritating him. He kept frowning. Finally, Yamato tossed the phone into the corner and folded his arms. He huffed, a deep furrow forming between his eyebrows. Suzuki was torn between laughing at his grumpiness and wanting to comfort him.
“What’s up, Yama-kun?” Suzuki asked.
“Oh, it’s…” He stopped, turning pink. “It’s stupid.”
“You did something stupid?” Suzuki knew he sounded a bit too eager, but he couldn’t help it. He was dying to know.
Yamato rolled his eyes. “Yes, actually.”
“Are you going to tell me about it or am I going to have to tickle you for information?” Suzuki wiggled his fingers to demonstrate.
“Don’t!” Yamato pulled his legs up onto the seat, as if to shield himself from Suzuki’s attack. “Jesus, Suzuki we’re in public.”
“No, we’re not. The windows are tinted and the partition’s up. Now tell me what made you so mad.”
Yamato relaxed. He retrieved his phone—which was undamaged—and passed it to Suzuki. Suzuki’s eyes widened. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing: an anti-Yamato fansite. For a few seconds, he just stared at it. Then he began to actually process the words he was looking at.
Yamato’s style totally clashes with Suzuki’s. Don’t know why they’re friends.
Do u remember when he was talking about how “””fake””” Zuzu is? He said in a press conference that ur not a real artist if u don’t write and produce ur own songs. What a snob. Did he ever apologize for that?
Suzuki laughed out loud. He glanced at Yamato. “They have a point. Did you ever apologize to me?”
“It’s not funny.”
“It is!” Suzuki kept scrolling. “This whole time you were telling me not to pay attention to the haters and you didn’t even follow your own advice. Aww, Yama, don’t feel bad. Wait a minute.”
There was a new reply to one of the comments by a user named, “st4rpower826.”
Do you guys ever get tired of talking trash behind the safety of your computer screens? Why don’t you say this stuff to Suzuki’s face and see how he takes it. Last I heard, he and Yamato were still really close. He doesn’t get mad until you insult his friends. If you actually cared about him, you wouldn’t do this.
It had a bunch of negative replies. Suzuki looked at Yamato again. Yamato was chewing on his lip.
“Is this you?” Suzuki asked, pointing at the screen.
“That could be anyone.”
“It’s you! You made an account!” Suzuki grabbed Yamato’s shoulder and shook it. He was laughing uncontrollably now. “You made an account so you could fight with them! Oh my God. That’s my birthday in your username!”
Yamato’s ears were growing steadily redder. “You have to make an account to read the message boards,” he muttered. “You know that. Someone was going to come along and tell them off eventually. Might as well be me.”
“How did you get that username? That’s, like, a prime fandom username. When I went on the anti-Suzuki boards, YamaFan#1 was taken.”
“No one else spelled with a four for the A.”
Suzuki was still giggling. He continued scrolling. “How long did you have this?”
“I went searching for one about me the same night you went on yours. I was curious.” Yamato smiled sheepishly. “I could take all the garbage they spewed about me but when they started throwing you into the mix, I got really upset. So I fought back. Didn’t do much good though.”
“These people say we’re so different, but we actually have lots in common, huh?”
“Yeah…”
“Oh, here’s a familiar one: ‘Suzuki is friends with Yamato for fanservice. Yamato wouldn’t be as popular if people didn’t think he was gay for Suzuki.’ People were saying the same stuff on my anti-site.”
Yamato’s blush had spread down his neck. “They’re crazy.”
“I know.” Suzuki turned the screen off. “You shouldn’t get into fights with people online, even if they are being jerks. We know the truth.”
Yamato nodded. He rubbed the back of his neck. “You know, it was really stupid, but I started to get scared that they might be right. Just for a second. Seeing all that old stuff I said made me wonder if you were still angry with me, and you were pretending not to hate me for the sake of getting along.”
“I don’t hate you, Yama.” Suzuki kneaded Yamato’s shoulder. “I’ve always thought you were cool, even when you were criticizing me. I could never hate you. Do you wanna know why?”
“Sure,” Yamato said, his lips quirking into a smile.
Suzuki kissed him. His heart was pounding a mile a minute, but he had never felt more sure of anything in his life before. The hand on Yamato’s shoulder was steady. When he pulled away, Yamato was staring at him, his eyes huge.
“It’s because I love you,” Suzuki said. And because he couldn’t help it, he winked.
The words were barely out of his mouth before Yamato returned the kiss. It took Suzuki by surprise, almost knocking him backward. He managed to hold himself up by catching hold of Yamato’s other shoulder. The realization that Yamato was kissing him sank in about two seconds later. Suzuki’s imagination had been lacking. Actually kissing Yamato was better than anything he could’ve dreamed up.
Yamato was holding him, one hand braced against the small of Suzuki’s back, the other cupping his chin. His mouth was soft and smooth and warm. Suzuki tasted a hint of lip balm. He leaned into the kiss, following Yamato’s movements. Then, Yamato pulled Suzuki onto his lap. Both hands slid to Suzuki’s hips.
“Suzuki,” Yamato breathed.
“What?”
“I don’t want to go to this party. Do you?”
Suzuki didn’t have to think about it. “No.”
He gave Yamato another lingering kiss as he got off his lap, then went to knock on the partition. It rolled down about halfway. Suzuki held up a hand in apology.
“Sorry,” he said, “but could you take us back to Yamato’s place?”
The next morning was strange. After they’d been dropped off at Yamato’s house, he and Suzuki had spent the rest of the night watching movies and making out. When they were too tired to keep their eyes open a second longer, Yamato let Suzuki borrow a t-shirt and pair of pajama pants, and they had fallen asleep in his room.
Suzuki woke up thinking last night had been a dream. He wasn’t surprised by coming to in Yamato’s room. (They had sleepovers all the time.) What reminded him that it was real was feeling the weight of Yamato’s arm around him. Suzuki bit back a fresh fit of giggles. He couldn’t believe it. He had kissed Yamato last night. Yamato had kissed him back.
Yamato stirred and lifted his head. It seemed to take him a minute as well. Then he smiled. He kissed Suzuki’s cheek. “Good morning,” he said softly.
“Good morning,” Suzuki repeated. He wondered if they could get away with staying in bed all day. Their phones had been blowing up all night, to the point where they’d set them to silent and left them in the living room.
Yamato groped for his alarm clock. “It’s almost noon.”
“My manager is probably going crazy right now because I didn’t show up.” He laughed at that. She was going to kill him later, but there were other things on his mind right now. “Is there anything important going on today?”
“No. There’s just you.” Yamato nestled himself against Suzuki again.
“We can stay in today,” Suzuki suggested. “We’ll play video games and make pancakes.”
“And make out,” Yamato added. He stuck his tongue out and wiggled it around.
Suzuki slapped his hand over Yamato’s mouth, laughing helplessly. “Gross! Don’t do that. You’re not a member of KISS.”
Yamato laughed as well. He let go of Suzuki and rolled out of bed. “Come on. I’ll make you pancakes. I bought blueberries.”
The apartment complex was quiet. Everyone was either sleeping in or out. Suzuki helped Yamato get out the mixing bowl and the skillet. There were, in fact, blueberries in the fridge. (Suzuki may have helped himself to a few before putting some in the batter.) Yamato started a pot of coffee, promising Suzuki that he still had the French vanilla creamer he liked.
While they were waiting to flip the first pancake, Suzuki decided to bring up the question that had been on his mind since he’d gotten out of bed. “So… are we boyfriends now?”
To his credit, Yamato wasn’t caught off-guard, though he did hesitate. “I don’t know. I want to be,” he said. “Things are different for us.”
“I’d be fine dating you in secret. Plenty of celebrities do it.”
“Me too, but I don’t know how long we could keep it up. There’s a lot of stress involved.” Yamato did the flip. It was clean. He passed the spatula to Suzuki. “It would definitely make some of our fans happy.”
Suzuki grinned. “Maybe that’s how we should justify it to our managers.”
“Yikes,” Yamato said. “Honestly, I don’t want to think about it right now. I just want to eat and destroy you at Mario Kart again. We can talk about the serious stuff later.”
“Can’t you go easy on me?” Suzuki whined. “I’m your boyfriend.”
“What makes you think I’d go easy on you just because we’re dating now? I never let you win when we were friends and that’s not going to change now.”
“You’re so mean.” Suzuki pulled his eyelid and stuck out his tongue. “Yama-kun’s a bad boyfriend. I’m gonna tell the whole world, so no one will steal you from me.”
Yamato laughed. He put an arm around Suzuki’s waist and brought him in for a kiss. “No one could steal me from you,” he said when they separated. “I love you.”
Suzuki put his head on Yamato’s shoulder. Life was good. The world might as well be limited to this small kitchen. To him and Yamato, and no one else. “Love you, too.”

lover (reddie)
in which stan, bill, eddie and richie are all best friends still, even throughout high school, but when it’s just eddie and richie; that’s an entirely different story
pairings: reddie, stenbrough (side pairing)
note: just warning you all this is horrible and i hate it but yup and they are aged up in this! (17/18)
First period was just about to start when Richie sat in his seat next to Eddie, stan, and bill. everyone took their seats and listened to the boring ass teacher talk for 40 minutes straight. richie sat with his feet on the desk in front of him, laying back while chewing strawberry-flavored gum. eddie took notes for himself and Richie; mostly because Richie was never the one to take notes. it’s not like Richie asked him to do it, Eddie just wanted him to actually graduate with him next year.
“psst, wanna skip gym first period tomorrow?” Richie whispered to Eddie, who simply nodded yes and shrugged. “excuse me Richard please get your legs off the desk.” the teacher said loudly, bringing all the attention to him and him only.
“yeah as soon as you give me a decent grade.” he popped his gum loudly, making the entire class laugh quietly, Richie was one of those students who was over all of the teachers shit, he loved to piss this teacher off the most though.
“Mr. Tozier, now or go to the office.” the teacher said sternly and the class all went ‘oooo’ loudly.
“Okie dokie! to the office, i go!” Richie said and sighed, handing a note to Eddie.
richie walked out with a wave and a wink directed to Eddie, who simply blushed and covered his face with his notebook as the class all tried not to laugh as the teacher tried to teach the lesson again. eddie sighed and opened the note, which read in messy handwriting,
'meet me in the bathroom, like, now <3 ur fav -richie’
eddie quickly rose his hand and asked for the restroom, the teacher excused him and he walked to the bathroom rather quickly, to see Richie sitting on the counter, staring at him.
“Richie what do you need, I am taking notes for the both of us you know and I don’t need the-” Richie walked over to him and hugged him, shushing him quickly.
“don’t worry about it babe, we can get the notes from stan or bill later, okay?” he kissed Eddie softly on the forehead and the smaller boy sighed while looking up at the taller one.
“I love you but we can’t keep doing this here Richie..we could get caught or-” Eddie was cut off by a small peck.
“what did i just say? it will be okay eds” he lifted the smaller boy up onto the counter and chuckled at his boyfriend’s flushed face.
“Jesus Richie, you sure do know how to talk, would you shut it and kiss me already?” Eddie said sarcastically as he pulled his boyfriend closer, kissing him. richie’s hands went straight to eddies face and deepened the kiss, whilst softly gliding his tongue along Eddie’s bottom lip; and right as things were about to get heated, the door creaked open slowly and the boys had to act quickly.
“do you ever just leave me alone-"
"Yeah well, maybe you shouldn’t be such a pussy and stand up for yourself” Richie softly grabbed the smaller one’s throat and threatened to squeeze. the door then opened and the two kept up their act, the boy walking in apologized and ran out.
“fuck baby I’m so sorry-” Richie said quietly when he realized Eddie was actually crying. he quickly wiped the tears away with his thumb and Eddie started to laugh.
“why are you laughing?” he said quickly and looked at his boyfriend, who just wiped his face and stopped crying.
“man am i a good actor or what-” he was cut off by a pair of lips on his, rough and chapped, possibly bleeding from Richie biting them all the time.
“you little bitch you fucking scared me eds! I thought I hurt you!”
“Rich, I need to get back to class, i’ll meet you at the car after school okay?” he pecked the dark-haired males cheek and rushed out. richie just smiled to himself and looked at himself in the mirror, no big blocky glasses he only wears those at night now, he had gotten contacts now and his mess of a mop he called hair was longer and more curly. but he liked it like that. he was much taller and was a total sucker for the grungy look-
when high school came around, everyone sorta. split. the only people he hung out with now were Eddie, stan and bill, that and no one knew about him and Eddie, everyone just thought that Richie was the dickhead bully who was always teasing Eddie but somehow managed to get into the small friend group of three, which is not the case.
the bell rang loudly signaling school was out, Richie started for his locker to get his things, then for his car.
“he better not be late.” Richie laughed lightly to himself and waited for the small boy.

Vampire!Mingyu Part 3
Part 1 || Part 2 || Part 3 || Part 4
Ft. Mingyu death
For: @sunnysidewrites @justsomekpopstuff @kkwonsoonyoung @cipheress-to-k-pop @xeniatan @aesthedick-minmin
A/N: Ohmygod why did this take so long Tagging people who commented/reblogged w/words on the other parts, or people who are just hyped so that they see this!
kind of rushed at the end but I don’t think I can take another part hhhh
That morning, when all the vampires were asleep, you woke Mingyu who was on the couch in the guest bedroom
He could’ve slept with you but he still doesn’t feel right touching you
Istg boi there was already a make-out session tho??
You both snuck out to the gate at the edge of the front garden
But you stop when you heard footsteps and someone clearing their throat
It’s Prince Jun and a posse of purebloods
Jun couldn’t let you leave
He just couldn’t
The second you stepped off the grounds, Mingyu could teleport you anywhere
And he needed you to stay
But as he advanced forward, Gyu pulled you back through the gate
Seconds after hearing “STOP!” you were someplace else
And you were holding Mingyu’s hand :)
He let go bc he was still… iffy about touching you
But you just grabbed his hand again and dragged him out of the alley you were in
Turns out, you were right where you needed to be:
You: “Target!”
Gyu: “Yes you’re a target, I just said that!”
You: “No, Target. It’s a store”
Gyu: “Store?”
You: “We can buy food in there. Do you have any money?”
Gyu: “Buy—?”
Cue you pulling him into Target
If you were going to have a vampire staying with you, you needed to stock up on stuff
How about pizza?
You went over to the freezer section
When suddenly Mingyu stopped in his tracks to stare at everything
“Huh? Something wrong, Gyu?”
His gaze kind of faltered at the nickname, but he still looked at you in disbelief
“These things are… frozen… how do you eat it?”
“Um… when were you bitten?”
“When I was a young child. Why?”
Explains why he doesn’t know much about human stuff
“…Nevermind. You heat the food up”
Gyu: “So… you’d heat that up?”
You: “What, frozen pizza? Yeah.”
Gyu: “Frozen…what”
You: “Pizza? Bread with like cheese and meat and tomato sauce—”
Gyu: *hugs freezer*
You:
Gyu:
You:
Gyu:
Gyu: “…pizza”
People were staring so you pulled him off the freezer
But aw
He likes pizza
So yes you bought a ton of pizza but also veggies bc he needed to be a healthy boi (stay away from the garlic tho)
And after some quick shopping—
Nah we know he’d stop at everything interesting; it took a while
So after a while of shopping
You brought him to your home to relax with some pizza
Ok but cuRIOUS VAMP GYU
WATCHING THE MICROWAVE INTENSELY WITH WIDE EYES
Meanwhile, you were working on what happened when you were gone
You weren’t gone long enough for anyone to worry, and luckily for you, it was the weekend, so you didn’t miss work
Mingyu sat next to you on the couch and you asked him about the other vampires
“So basically… they… want to extend the bloodline. The more human the blood, the more they fit in. The end goal is to be able to blend in with humans while still retaining vampire traits.”
But as Mingyu told you more, you sensed the lie in his voice
You didn’t say anything for now
Ok there’s more plot to this buT VAMPIRE GYU GETTING INTRODUCED TO HUMAN TRADITIONS
AND HUMAN FOOD
AND PIZZA
He just happily munched away at all your cooking
Learned a thing or two
He’s nice company
And he started to warm up to you!!!
That night, he was about to fall asleep staring at the washing machine from the couch when you pulled him up
Cue whiny Gyu wanting to stay on the sofa
You dragged him to your bed and he plops down immediately
You lay down next to him and his arms instinctively wrapped around your body
I’m soft
The next day, you decided to bring Mingyu somewhere to have some fun
Park? Yes.
First, we gotta deal with his clothes
Yeah um no one wears a cape and frilly shirt to a park
Unless it’s Halloween
Which fun fact in this au it’s banned to dress up as a vampire bc of dangers of real vampires
So you gave him some clothes you bought at Target: some sweatpants and a t-shirt
While he was changing in your room, he called you in to ask about something
You assumed it’s about what socks are or smth lmao
But then you walk in and this boi is shiRTLESS and staring at the closet
1st reaction: oHmYGOd his chest is so wide wtf
2nd reaction: okAY PLS PUT ON A SHIRT NOW
But you noticed he was staring at your scarf on the closet door
“What is that?“
“Scarf. For your neck when it’s cold”
“You should wear it. It’s cold outside”
So he tugged the scarf off of the door and pulled it around your neck snugly
“There. You’ll be warm now”
“I don’t think I need this, Gyu”
“Why not?”
“I have you”
At first he’s like wut
And then
Ohhhh ~hugs~
But he also noticed something else…
Your pendant was lightly glowing again
He didn’t say anything.
He finally put on a shirt and a jacket
And you walked to the park!
Gyu at the park man
He saw a dog and—
Wait where’d Mingyu go
2 seconds later he was 10 feet away petting the dog
And he was like “Y/N? Can we get a dog?” while that dog was licking his face like there was no tomorrow
Vampire + puppy = SOFT GYU
You just sighed and laughed at this puppy magnet
You went back home tiredly and looked up dog shelters
Over the next few weeks, you spend your days and nights with Gyu, learning about him and watching movies together whenever you weren’t at work
It was peaceful and you got along well despite him being a fanged creature LOL
Y’all even found some alternatives to blood that kept him healthy!
Tho he still had to drink some animal blood for the first few days which creeped you out a little
One night, Gyu was munching on chips when you confronted him about his honesty about the other vampires
He looked down before sighing and putting the chip bag down
Finally, he told you the truth
“They won’t kill you.”
“Why’d you lie?”
He stays silent.
“Mingyu—”
“The pureblood… your mate… would be your husband. Your love. They would love you. And I… I…”
“You what? Why do you care?!”
You’re just angry now
“I just ran away with you! I could’ve helped them. Not all vampires are bad, and I should get to help! Mingyu why did you take me away—”
“I don’t want you to love someone else! I love you, okay?!?! I want… to be with you. I could never be your soulmate though… I’m not pureblood. I have no chance, but I thought… if you never knew the truth…I’d still have one.”
You fall silent
And think.
Just think and stare at Mingyu
“How could you—how could you be that selfish?” you asked whilst trying not to cry
“My entire life I was treated like an outcast, but when I met you, I finally felt... wanted." It was getting really hard to keep from crying, so you only listen as Mingyu finished speaking
"It was a mistake. I regret it. I’m sorry.”
As you tried to calm down, Mingyu stood up and held out his hand
“If you want to help so badly… I’ll bring you back. But I’m a traitor now, I’ll have to go into hiding. You won’t see me again, Y/N.”
You just nodded, trying to hold back tears
You both have already been through a lot together in the short time you’ve known each other including some intimate things
You slowly grew close to Mingyu
And now he was saying he won’t ever see you again
But you stood up and take his hand
Seconds later, you were back at the gate
Jun was waiting with other purebloods
You reluctantly let go of Mingyu’s hand and gave him one last hug
He just looked into your eyes and smiled
“Remember I love you”
The moment you let go, he was gone
You couldn’t help but choke back tears
You left the garden and went with Jun, who wanted to talk to you
Not any of the other heirs, just you
You went into a room with him alone and had tea while you talked
Jun brought up your little outburst trying to protect Mingyu, and then him taking you away
He appreciated your decision to come back to help and led you back to the rose garden, where the 4 remaining heirs were waiting
Some were kind of upset you left but nevertheless were glad to have you back
So for the next few hours, purebloods from all over the world would take turns standing in the middle of the garden with you all
If one section of coloured roses stopped glowing, that heir would have found their match
Eventually, it was just you left
Everyone went through, and yet no one made the roses stop glowing
Soon the only pureblood who hadn’t tried was Jun
You were kind of scared...
It was going to be him
He was the only one left
It was why he couldn’t let you leave
You looked down to your white roses and wished Mingyu was there with you
The only guy here you were ever really close to
The only guy you really wanted to be your match
Well shoot, time to accept your fate
Then, after a few shouts and gasps, you saw the roses suddenly stop glowing
You quickly looked up, ready to lock eyes with Jun
Jun wasn’t standing next to you
Then you turned around
Mingyu’s hand was inches from your shoulder
He had stepped into the center with you
He was standing there, stunned
All you did was cup his face with your hands and give him a kiss
“You came back! But why?! You said—”
“I thought about what you said, ‘not all vampires are bad.’ Maybe it meant I wasn’t bad, and I had a chance to at least apologize and not be an outcast. I came back to see you—”
Cue Gyu getting interrupted with another kiss
So.
Turns out the non-pureblood vampire is your soulmate
Who would’ve thought?
Well I mean
The make-out session was a dead giveaway
Speaking of make-out sessions…
Since Mingyu wasn’t a pureblood, your role wasn’t important anymore
Jun gave you permission to let Mingyu go home with you
So the make-out session may have resumed at your place 😉
But most importantly…
One night, Mingyu was home learning to cook ramen
When you came home from work
“Babe? You’re late, I got worried—”
He turned around to find you holding a smol puppy that is desperately trying to leap out of your arms and run over to Mingyu
Gyu accepts the kisses from both you and his new puppy-child
YOU GUYS KNOW I AM 100% READY TO WRITE DOMESTIC LIFE WITH VAMPIRE!GYU IF SOMEONE REQUESTS
But until then
This life you had now…
Started all because you were stupid enough to go into a dark alley and get attacked
And now you were raising a puppy with your attacker
Who would’ve thought?
The make-out session was a dead giveaway
“I am never leaving you again”

Reader in labor HC with Sincerely Three!
I’ve never done HC’s before so I apologize if this is crap but this is my first ever request!!! SO lets get started
Lets start with the meme boy Jared
- ok so jared n u have been together since ur senior year of high school
- you now live together in a cute little apartment
- I feel like jared would be the funny guy in an office job so that’s what he does
- he works in an office and you don’t work right now because YOURE REALLY PREGNANT
- As the days get closer to ur due date, Jared is like ’ hhhh maybe I should stay home with you today babe what if u go into labor AND IM NOT HERE’
- u make him go anyways
- but one day this actually happens n you go into labor while Jared is at work lke 30 minutes away so you call his mom first to have her come get you
- she rushes you to the hospital and once youre there, you finally call Jared and are like ‘ so uh remember how I kept telling you I wasn’t going to go into labor while u were at work? Sike, got u.”
- Jared FREAKS OUT
- ‘waIT WHAT?!’ he screams so loudly his mom can faintly hear it across the room like this boy has a loud voice anyway but holy hell when he yells
- ‘ I TOLD YOU I FUCKING TOLD YOU DIDNT I FUCKING TELL YOU’ Jared screamed and you could basically hear him running out of the office until he gets stopped by the lady at the front desk
- ‘no i have to leave my partner is pushing a CHILD out right now. well Brenda i don’t care if ur son fell and broke his arm, my child is being BIRTHED.’
- even though he was 30 minutes away, he got to u in record time
- he basically kicked the door open and jumped into the room
- he is def doing a super man pose and winks at you
- you threaten to throw him out of the room before hes even sat down
- fast forward a little bit n your contractions have gotten pretty bad and youre laying on your side with your eyes closed, your hand gripping on the side of the bed so hard jared think you might break it
- ‘ babe ur joking to she hulk the bed and I CANNOT AFFORD THAT’
- you flip him off but go back to aggressively squeezing the bed until this contraction passed for a few moments and you were able to release the bed
- BUT LIKE TW MINUTES LATER THEY WERE BACK AND YOU WENT TO REACH FOR JAREDS HAND INSTEAD OF THE HOSPITAL BED AND HE LIKE PULLS HIS HAND BACK FROM YOU
- ‘youll break my hand are you crazy I NEED THIS HAND TO DEFEAT ZOMBIES’
- you grab his hand anyways and squeeze it even harder than you had been the bed jut out of spite
- ‘OW OW OW YOU BITCH OH GOD MY HAND’
- u look up at him with these deadly eyes and he instantly shuts up and is just like ‘ i love u (y/n) ‘
- a few hours later and it was time to push so u make sure that Jared’s hand is laced with yours and you squeeze it every time
- hes trying to say encouraging words but its more like ‘wow babe - ow - you’re doing so - fucking ow - wonderful - god my hand is going numb - just keep going babe!!!’
- about an hour later the doctor places a baby boy on your stomach and Jared literally fucking cheers
- the doctor has jared cut the chord and after that they take your son off to clean him up n stuff but the whole time jared sits by your side with that big goofy smile on his face as he tells you that he loves you
OK NOW THE LEGS CONNOR MURPHY
- Connor and u were sitting at home when you went into labor bc it was late at night
- ur watching some movie and u glanced up at connor and are like ‘ hhh either i just peed myself or my water just broke’
- the boy literally JUMPS up from where he was sitting and glances at you before he grabs your hands and pulls you up
-he tells you to go out to the ca so you do that while he gathers the bags that you two had spent the time making up in the previous weeks
-he walks outie trying to be as calm as he can but once he gets in the car he just glances over at you and says ‘holy fuck’ before he starts off towards the hospital
-at this point your contractions aren’t close together but when they do hit they fucking hurt like nothing you have ever experienced before so when the first big one hits you groan in pain and COnnor looks over at you all worried and is lik e
- ‘is everything ok, goddammit I’m going as fast as i can without being pulled over but all this fuCKING traffic is making it hard to get FUCKING anywhere.’
- you put your hand on his leg and are just like ‘connor stfu its fine i was having a contraction buts its passed right now so its fine ok’
- he eventually gets you to the hospital and you get into the bed with all the chords attached to your stomach
- i feel like connor has been super nervous for this because hes so scared that hes gonna be a bad dad that when he sits down next to you he just kind of like shuts down and starts to completely doubt himself
- but ofc you know whats going on so you just grab his hand and tell him its all gonna be ok bc obviously neither f you have any real idea how to be a parent yet and youll figure it out together
- he looks at you with those super pretty eyes and u just smile at him
- he loves u so much and he feels so lucky to have someone like you who makes him feel like this is all going to be ok instead of the way his father had been making him feel by like teling him hes gonna be a bad dad
- a few hours later and its finally time to push and Connor lets you hold his hand the entire time and hes just completely ignoring the fact that youre basically breaking his hand and he just keeps telling u how great youre doing
- ‘youre doing great (y/n), squeeze my hand all you want. Take all the fucking anger out on my hand its fine’
- the doctor puts a little girl on your chest and you tear up as u look at her
- and so does connor because ike ffuck he has a daughter and someone who is going to love him and that he already loves so much?? like he didn’t think he could love anything this much other than u until he saw his daughter
- the doctor has connor cut the chord and he does it really slowly before the little girl is taken away to get cleaned up.
- connor sits down beside of you and he rubs your hair out of your face and kisses your forehead gently
- that boy loves u and his little family so much and he swears that he is going be ten times better than his family ever was to him
OK NOW EVAN
- SO LIKE- Evan and you go over to Heidi’s every Tuesday for taco Tuesday and game night right??
- so you guys are sitting there eating and playing uno when suddenly you have this weird pain in your stomach and it’s not at all like when the baby kick so you just kind of pause and it’s your turn so Heidi and Evan both give you a confused look- ’ uh (y/n) are you ok?’
- you just nod your head and shrug your shoulders b are like ya just a pain but it’s gone now- so you start playing again
- Until the pain comes back and it’s worst that before so you once again take a deep breath and just sit there for a moment and this is when evan starts like getting really nervous and yoy can tell because his starting to pull on the corner of his cards- Heidi asks you if you’re sure you’re ok and you just nod your head
- until ur water breaks and ur just sitting a small puddle of water in your seat-u don’t wanna freak out evan so u ask him to go get you a drink from the kitchen and once he leaves, u whisper to Heidi that u think ur water broke
- AND SHE LIKE SQUEALS- Evan comes back in when he hears the squeal and is like ???? what??? -AND HEIDI IS LIKE “(Y/N) THINKS THEIR WATER BROKE”
-and evan drops the glass of water he had in his hands and it goes everywhere and u snicker- ‘now Evans water has broken’ and Evans eyes go wider than before
- ‘this is uh no times for jokes!! we gotta go!!’ Evan says and you nod your head and get up-Heidi drives u to the hospital and drops you and evan off before she goes back to the your and Evans house to get the bags you had packed
- the doctor gets you all situated and checks you and is like ???- had u waited any longer to come in yoy might have been having the baby at home because you were like 8cm
- ur like ??? I barely feel anything what the fuck-the doctor shrugs and chuckled
-evan is sitting by your bed and he’s obviously an anxious mess
- his leg is bouncing and his face is all red and his fidgeting with the bed sheets- bc like what if the baby doesn’t end up liking him and what if he’s a bad dad and messes up when it comes to taking care of the baby and goodness the boy is just a mess
- but u just smile at him and place hand on his and just whisper calming words to him- Heidi shows up with the bags you had packed and she just smiles at the scene of her son and the person he loves all lovey dovey and about to be parents
-the doctor comes in like 20 minutes later and tells u that it’s time to push so you get all situated-evan grabs your hand and is squeezing it WAY tighter than you’re squeezing his and you can’t help but laugh
-it takes like 3-5 pushes and the doctor puts a little girl on your stomach and asks evan if he wants to cut the chord and he nods-but when the doctor puts the scissors in his hands and they’re shaking like crazy and he takes one step into doing it before
- he passes out-like he drops to the floor and you burst out laughing because you knew he was nervous but not that nervous
-Heidi laughs and helps evan up and he cuts the chord with her help and he just keeps staring at the baby and he just can’t comprehend that he made that- he just loves you and his baby so much snd he’s so excited to be a dad now
