November 1, 1968: Commander, Frank Borman steps out of the gondola in Building 29 after Apollo 8 centrifuge training in the Manned Spacecraft Center’s (MSC) Flight Acceleration Facility (FAF). The gondola of a centrifuge is the capsule at the end of the rotating arm that the test subject or astronaut experiences the G levels created by the motion of the rotating arm.
