Howdy.
I really suck at introductions. The point of this specific blog entry is to introduce myself, and the game I'm creating. I'll, uh, start with myself.
So, hi, my name is Kyuu, and I'm the creator of Apocalypse Studios and its debut game "The Cult of Hatsune Miku". I'm 18, and a first-year in college, majoring in Art Education. I'm completely new to video game making, so if I fuck up, bear with me. That being said, constructive criticism is appreciated and any tips for making games are also encouraged.
The Cult of Hatsune Miku is a point-and-click horror visual novel that takes place completely in the middle of the day. I came up with the idea for this particular game specifically because 1) I wanted a horror game that didn't take place at night and 2) because I wanted Miku to be the main antagonist. That's, uh, it.

DEADLIEST COLD*Game Status*: In Development Release Date: 2019 Deadliest Cold is a Sci-Fi Thriller/Survival/Horror FPS in the alt-history USSR (Sovietic) retro-futuristic setting of the late 70’s/80’s. Year 2080. The Cold War never ended. USSR bio-experiments brought RSFSR to an apocalypse. Ukrainian Autonomous Soviet-Socialistic Republic became the new capital of USSR. The world had changed forever... _________ The technological style of eastern Europe (Poland, Czechoslovakia, German Democratic Republic, Ukraine) of the late 1970s and early 1980s is interlinked with the “dirty cyberpunk” and dark anti-utopia. It's time of an early space exploration, when sunny dreams faced with harsh reality. Globe-spanning crisis, extra-terrestial conflict for decommunisation of the Red Mars is in full swing. The visual style can be described as a “rusty cyberpunk” with post-apocalyptic feeling, inspired by such films as “Blade Runner (1979)”, “Alien (1983)”, such books as “Prisoners of Power” by brothers Strugatsky, “Solaris” by Stanislaw Lem and the space function 1960-1970s with a special Eastern Soviet touch. The Team Few words about us: Our studio EyeLidStudio Blink (previously being a movie&CG post-production studio) is located in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. We are an indie-development team, working remotely, being located in Ukraine, Germany, Austria, Russia, and U.S. We are fans of retro and cyberpunk games, music and culture, and we all have experience in Gamedev, Post-Production, CG and animation. But yet, we all work for our own wish, without having any budget. Our team members were previously working in such projects as: S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Clear Sky, METRO 2033, The Witcher II, The Witcher III, Crysis, Warface, War Thunder, Romero's Aftermath, Asteroids: Outpost, Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter, Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments, ATOM RPG, InSomnia RPG, Geistkrieg RTS on different positions - from sound design to asset creation and level design. The Story This is a story about a shipwreck on a distant, deadly cold planet Kelt-19b. The main character's survival or death are in your hands. He does not have any survival skills, moral or physical training that could help him to survive in the in-game events. He doesn't know how to use even a gun...! But can the shipwrecked recover himself on deadliest cold planet? Only you got to choose. The deadly cold of the planet, his own mind and slowly dying body are the hero’s main enemies. Numerous story "forks" in the road with often unpredictable end will have a significant impact on hero’s mind and his stress level. Any player’s choices can cause of deadly repercussions for the hero. The game world is a closed space of a small transport spacecraft. Updates
Howdy. Today, I bring updates. In regards to the game, I've finished most concept designs, and I just need to digitalize them. I've also created the floor plan for the MC's house in a modeling software, and I have the temple laid out as well.
Outside of that, I have updates on social medias. While I have yet to make a Twitter/X, I have made a Twitch so I can stream things like making the art and other game things. All streams/stream highlights will go on Youtube as well.

Devlog #1
Howdy. Welcome to the first blog entry devlog.
Currently, I'm still making concept sketches in my sketchbook, trying to make concept sketches of the characters and small notes on them before I digitalize it.
The idea of making this sort visual novel is very daunting. I mean, the idea of making a game in general is very overwhelming, especially as someone who's never made anything of the sort. I'm trying my best to break it down into smaller pieces as a way to make my gerbil brain to focus.
Here's a list of characters as of this moment. There may be more minor characters added, but as of right now, this is the main cast, as well as some notes on them.
MC (the player can name her as they choose)
A woman in her mid-20's who lives alone. She's very defensive and kind of stubborn, and she gets increasingly paranoid as the game progresses. She starts polite, but as paranoia and the events of the game get to her, she gets more snappish and short-tempered.
Salesman
Uncomfortably friendly in the first act, speaking full sentences and very adamant about getting the player to buy what he's selling. I don't know what he's selling yet. The second act, he's really pushy, and more worn down than in the first act. Can still speak in full sentences, albeit a bit shorter. Lots of repetition. Act three Salesman is at his most deranged, looking very worn down and straight up insane. He can only speak a few words, which foreshadow the end of the story. He is not seen in Act four.
Officers 1 and 2
Officer 1 is above Officer 2, and he's a lot more abrasive and rude than Officer 2. Officer 1 is loud and misogynistic, always arguing with the MC and really just keeping her from seeking the help she needs. I'm playing with the idea of Officer 1 being corrupt and Officer 2 just being lower in status and being kind of a pushover. Officer 2 is very quiet and is really just a direct contrast to Officer 1.
Hatsune Miku
Miku is depicted in two vastly different ways. The first way is through her statues, where she's depicted in an ethereal way, as the goddess in which they depict her. Her hands are clasped together, and she's blindfolded. Her true form is an amalgamation of machine parts, wires and metal, and human parts, eyes and teeth and guts. It's going to be so fun to draw.
I have left off with drawing Miku's true form, but all will be digitalized soon. I hope you enjoyed reading this.
