Aphmau who’s definitely not what she once was
Aphmau whose powers aren’t the sweet little wound-healing they used to be
Aphmau who’s a sick and twisted version of Irene and yet still a much better person than Irene had ever even attempted to be.

LEVIN AND MALACHI ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
plus some family portraits <3
alrighty you know the drill—— headcanons!!
Levin First:
When Aph found Levin’s mother, she told her that Garroth was Levin’s real father. She couldn’t go on without him knowing. So, Aphmau told Garroth this, which was a real shock considering Garroth didn’t even remember Matilda. But regardless, he understood that his memory had been wiped and he vowed to raise his son properly, with the love he never received.
Levin is like crazy strong, despite not appearing to be. Probably due to him being the son of the literal incarnation of the Esmund the Protector.
He’s not actually a descendant of Irene. The late lord Malik claimed to be a descendant of Irene in order to obtain power, but it was never true and it ended up getting him killed. So even if Levin was Malik’s actual son, he’d still not be a descendant of her’s.
However, the Shadow Knights believe he is, which is why there’s such a large target on his back. But even if they knew the truth, he’s still descended from a Divine Warrior, so the target would only be a tiny bit smaller.
When he finds out that both his bio father and adoptive mother are Divine, he kind of freaks out. Not only because of how insane that is, but it makes him feel worse about not possessing any magicks himself.
Not entirely a headcanon but I feel it’s worth mentioning; His biological mother, Matilda, was a wood elf. Therefore he is half elf. Wood elves tend to be short and stocky, hense his build. (the wood elf part is the headcanon, but not the bit about her being an elf. that’s canon)
His blue shirt is made from an old cape of Garroth’s. It was his way of honoring his long lost father, whom he never really got to know.
Malachi:
When Malachi died, his soul went into a sort of slumber. He remained in said slumber until Aphmau… respawned. When this happened, it sent a shock wave of magick throughout Ru’Aun. All mystic beings felt it. And that very wave woke him.
When his soul woke, he was confused and scared. He couldn’t remember what happened, where he was, why he was all alone in this dark and decrepit castle, or why he couldn’t leave. Over time, his memories returned to him, slowly but surely.
After some time, he realized that though he couldn’t leave the castle grounds, he could move the castle. And so he began moving it all throughout Ru’Aun in search for his parents. Only, he had no clue that 900 years had passed.
When Dante, Aphmau, Garroth, Laurance, and Eseryt come to his castle, he torments them with nightmares. Not because he wants to or thinks it funny, but because he doesn’t know them and it scared. Dante sees visions of Gene killing him once and for all, Aphmau sees Phoenix Drop burning to the ground, Garroth sees a wedding chapel and a woman who’s face is blurred and uncanny, and Laurance sees the Nether in all it’s fiery glory. And Eseryt? Well seeing as she possesses mind magicks too, Malachi can’t see her fears. But that also means Eseryt can’t feel his feelings.
Eventually Eseryt is able to show Malachi that they mean no harm and he lets the others go. When they try to speak to him, they realize that he only speaks old Ru’Aunian. But lucky for them, Aphmau knows it (for some reason *wink wink*) and Laurance learned some in the Nether. And when they get back to Phoenix Drop? Well Zoey knows it too! This is why he developed such and close bond to these three, they’re the only people he could talk to for a while.
Eventually, Zoey manages to teach him new Ru’Aunian, with the “help” of Aphmau and Laurance.
The green scarf he wears was a gift from Laurance after he regained his mortality. Malachi could not stop shivering in the middle of July, so Laurance gave him his scarf to keep him warm. He knows to some degree what it’s like to come back to life, after all. Another reason the two are so close.

uh hi, i used to be in the fandom in 16-18 but then grew disinterested ig, but i came back (boredom+still loving characters) and im so confused on everything. mcd is still similar to what i remember but then i havent watched the revamp, but im so incredibly confused on mystreet, i kinda remember the emerald stuff and aph getting a maid cafe and gene was there?? idk thats all i remember and the wiki isnt helpful, can you explain mystreet please?
TLDR; Aaron beats up a prick who had a crush on Aph in highscool. Mentioned prick tries and fails to get revenge. Aaron is exposed to be an Ultima WW (a werewolf with powers) so everyone hunts for him when he just wanted to have a nice vacation. Aaron dies a total of 3 times then gets amnesia. The end. This is very long bc Mystreet is very confusing. Moving on:
Mystreet seasons 1-3 are a slice of life take, and have no revelance to the plot of seasons 4-6. Phoenix Drop High, two prequel series to Mystreet, are about the high school years of the cast. PDH S1 is also not relevant, but in S2 we introduced to Ein, a werewolf. He likes Aphmau, but he was also pretty power driven, and acts like a prick because of this. Aaron finds out and gets into a fight with him, and Ein is no longer able to romance/manipulate Aphmau.
MSS4 is set in a lodge in the mountains with Aaron and friends (Garroth, Lucinda, and newbie Kim). They are planning to renovate the lodge, so Aaron can legitimately earn money and take Aph on a vacation. Zane and Aphmau eventually turn up, but Kim is possessed by a ghost residing in the house (who is appropriately named Ghost). They don’t do much with this, but it’s pretty sexy.
Anyway, Michi (who works nearby?), Lucinda, Aphmau and Zane are put under a trance - the effect of a forever potion. After a period of time the effects of a forever potion become permanent. Together they lead Aaron and the remainder of his friends to another lodge, where the mastermind of this mind control is. It’s Ein! And he’s doing all of this to get revenge for what happened in high school. He wants Aaron to turn Aph into a werewolf, because surprise! Aaron is an Ultima WW and can turn humans into WW and visa versa. We find out Aph is now under two forever potion effects, one to make her love Ein and one to make her hate Aaron. This eventually leads to Aaron falling off a cliff and dying. Irene talks to him and revives him, and he goes to fight Ein again. Aaron and friends try to break Aphmau out of the potion effects, and they do, but not before Aaron is stabbed and almost dies again. End of S4.
Aphmau’s year is an inbetween of S4/5. She can’t see Aaron because he’s pretty much died twice and needs to recover. She is very sad.
MSS5 is another slice of life series, the gang from before + KC, Katelyn, Travis, Aaron’s parents, Melissa and a Wolfpack from high school go to the vacation island! It’s like one big theme park. Aaron and Aph are reunited. Later on, Aaron goes WW mode because he saw Ein, and accidentally turned Garroth into a WW. Aphmau wants to experience WW racism so she is also asked to be turned into a WW. Aaron proposes. S5 ends.
S6, the latest season, is when everything goes more crazy. Aaron is revealed to the public as the Ultima WW, so a bunch of people are trying to hunt him down. They spend some time in hiding, then some decide to go to a masquerade with the rest of the public(???). After this, they are found out and have to run again. Melissa (Aaron’s Sister) is shot and declared dead by everyone. Aph+Zane find where the ww in hiding are, but Ein is there (he lived ofc). Aph is held hostage, Travis is possessed by the person who possessed his dad, and Garroth and Katelyn are now being controlled by the forever potions.
Turns out some of the parents thought it would be cool to make their kids drink forever potions that make them strong (???? And also under someone’s control ????). Aaron finds Aph with Ein, and turns Ein back into a WW to save aph. Because of all of this, KC is almost killed by Garroth and Aph is actually killed by Ein, who had laser powers now. Aph is revived by Irene’s daughter, Alina, who gave up half her heart to see her mother again, but she gives that to her reincarnation so w/e. Aaron goes apeshit and kills a bunch of people, and is captured. They wanted to kill him for his relic? But they end up killing Irene and Aaron’s dad instead. When everyone is healed and reunited, they have an epic fight with the Demon Warlock who possessed Travis, using the divine relics of the reincartions that would have them. Our gang ends up winning, but some people are injured both physically and mentally, so Zane can’t remember peoples names and Aaron has amnesia about everything. Melissa is also alive. That’s the end of S6.

TSOTBL - Sorrows of the Past PT:2
"Garroth? Gaaarrrroooooth?" Aphmau shouted, keeping up her pace.
Her words just bounced off the walls and echoed back at her. "Damn it where are you, you better be okay!" Aphmau thought, her mouth had become much too dry for her to talk to herself, the ice cold air entering her lungs made it harder and harder to run let alone talk. "Aph! Wait up!" Zane panted, finally catching up to her. He obviously wasn't used to running so far so fast. "Z..Zane…." Aphmau stopped for a moment, to take deep breaths of hair. "A-Aphmau...you-you shouldn't have...have r-run off like that!" Zane scolded her between breaths, he was far more tired than she was from the run they just took. "What choice did I have?! We were taking way too long!" Aphmau yelled, regaining her composure. "The smarter thing to do would have been for all of us to stay together!" Zane lectured her. "Well…well sometimes the smart thing to do isn't the best thing to do!" Aphmau retorted. "Wh-what is that even supposed to mean?!" Zane asked in confusion. "It doesn't have to mean anything, I just need to find Garroth!" "Why is finding him this important to you?!" "Because! I need to talk to him!" Aphmau yelled, as she proceeded to continue running forward. "About what?!" Zane shouted, as he struggled to keep up with her.
Zane ran after Aphmau until she came to a screeching stop, she appeared to be staring at something. He nearly tripped trying to slow down.
"A.. Aphmau…!" Zane panted, struggling to stand up. "Shhh..!" Aphmau whisper-shouted. "Why are you shushing me? It's not like we're in a library-" Before Zane could finish his sentence, he noticed what Aphmau was staring at. "-What the hell?"
Garroth stood in the center of the dead-end of where the path lead to. He held the book close to himself.
"I-I don't know what to do, I don't know what to do.Y-You said... you said…" Garroth sobbed quietly into the book. "I-I never thought…" he trailed off, holding it tighter. "Is-is he talking to it?" Aphmau whispered, continuing to stare at the bizarre sight of her friend. "Lucinda did say the book was possessed, didn't she?" Zane whispered back, starring alongside Aphmau. "I-I…." Garroth stuttered, as he lowered the book. "Garroth?" Aphmau spoke aloud, catching Garroth's attention. "Y-you two…!" Garroth stammered in surprise, stepping back. "Garroth I just want to talk with you." Aphmau stated softly, attempting to calm down her friend. She took a step forward. "N-No! Stay away from me!" Garroth yelled defensively, taking a few more steps back, holding the book closer to himself. "Garroth I'm not here to hurt you, I'm your friend!" Aphmau tried to assure him, taking a step back. "Y-you're not my friend! You're not a friend at all!" Garroth shouted angrily. "You're just a taker! You take what you need from people, you have your good times, but when times get tough, you scram! You don't really care about anyone!" "Garroth, what are you talking about?!" Aphmau yelled in concern. "You call me names, you call me stupid all the time! In front of my face and behind my back! You don't take my emotions seriously-none of you do! All you do is laugh at me and treat me like an idiot all the time! But no, it's all fine because surely Garroth isn't affected by it at all! You call that being a friend?! No wonder you and Aaron broke up!" Garroth hissed, clenching his fists. "I….Garroth…." Aphmau started to tear up, it was bad enough that Garroth was talking to her in such a way, but bringing problems with Aaron into it too? "Garroth...Garroth, listen to me, my relationship with Aaron isn't a part of this. I know that I've never been the greatest friend, or the best person, and some of these things you brought up just now, I never knew they bothered you! But-" "You didn't think that calling someone an idiot all the time wouldn’t bother them?" "I'm sorry for that! I should've known better than to do that kind of crap, but Garroth, I am your friend! We've been through everything together, thick and thin! Our childhoods, highschool, the Jury, college! If we weren't friends then why would we still be here? We've done our fair share of crappy things to each other, but we've had so many more good times! We've made our mistakes and grown from them, and we'll still make more mistakes along the road and we'll grow from those too! Garroth, I've always been grateful to have you as a friend, you're one of the best friends I could have ever asked for, and I don't want to lose all of our years of friendship, not like this, not ever!"
Garroth stood silent for a moment, staring at Aphmau and Zane.
"...So you really care about me that much?" Garroth mumbled, not breaking eye contact with Aphmau. "Of course I do! I'd fight anyone who tried to speak bad about you, or any one of my friends for that matter!" Aphmau assured, giving Garroth a light smile. "So…So why didn't you defend me when Zane said all of those horrible things about me...?" Garroth asked, choking back tears. "I-I...y-you heard all of that?!" Aphmau said in shock. "That's it I've had enough of this!" Zane yelled angrily. "Y-You wanna know why she didn't defend you?! Because everything I fucking said was true! You're nothing but a selfish fucking idiot with the iq of a lint ball! You really think it's any wonder at all why you're friends treat you the way like dogshit?" "Zane stop!-" "A-All your damn life everyone has-has catered to your stupid ass hand and foot! Everything you've ever had has been handed to you on a silver platter, you never had to work hard for what you wanted!" Zane ignored Aphmau, continuing to yell at Garroth. "Zane you're making it worse!-" "Nothing but-Nothing but the best for the oh-so-perfect Ro'meave! You got all of the attention from everyone! Teachers, peers, complete strangers, mom, and dad. But even everything dad gave to you just isn't enough huh? You stupid fucking selfish asshole. But oh no! We mustn't displease Garte Ro'meave's favorite son, the golden child!" "Zane!" Aphmau yelled, trying to stop Zane from continuing. "What? I'm right and you know it!" Zane hissed. "Being….being the "golden child" wasn't as grand as you think it was Zane...I...I always…" Garroth muttered weakly, tears strolling down his cheeks. "Oh? What, you didn't get the toy you wanted for Christmas when you were eight? Wow, being the golden child must've been horrible huh!" Zane replied sarcastically. "I ALWAYS FUCKING HATED IT!" Garroth yelled at the top of his lungs, catching Aphmau and Zane off guard. "Being Garte's ~favorite son~ wasn't all sunshine and rainbows Zane, my entire home life leading up until I finished college was a fucking nightmare! You think father always gave me everything I wanted? Well guess fucking what! It was the other way around! My entire life was carved around what he wanted me to be! The people he allowed me to be friends with, he barely even let me see Vylad let alone talk to him! The hobbies he let me have, the extracurriculars and all of my classes, the ones he wanted me to do! I had to be absolutely perfect for HIM!" "Garroth...I never realized…" Aphmau quietly trailed off, shocked at everything he had to say. "I never wanted to play stupid fucking baseball, but he wanted me to be on some kind of sports team! For three fucking summers straight I went to that stupid baseball camp because he wanted me to be "the best of the best!" I was in that horrible etiquette school up in Skystead for three years before I went to high school! And then, for my last year of high school I had to go to FUCKING, MILITARY SCHOOL, BECAUSE I TOOK THE FUCKING FALL FOR YOUR DUMBASS AFTER YOU FUCKED UP ALL OF YOUR PLANS UP WITH THE JURY! FATHER WANTED TO "FIX" ME SO THAT I WOULD BE THE SAME, "PROPER, ELOQUENT YOUNG MAN I WAS" BEFORE I SUPPOSEDLY DID ALL OF THAT SHIT. AND THEN RIGHT AFTER I JUMPED INTO COLLEGE, TO TAKE THE DAMN MAJORS HE WANTED ME TO TAKE SO THAT I COULD ONE DAY OWN THAT STUPID FUCKING COMPANY OF HIS." Garroth screamed full of rage, letting his book a bit looser from his grip. "Irene I regret not letting Vylad tell mother and father about all the shit you did! That probably would have done more good for everyone! Even for father. All. Of. My life. Zane. All of my life I've had to do nothing but please that bastard, that fuck is nothing but a control freak, you can't even begin to imagine the fucking hell he'd put me through if I fell short of the expectations he had for me. But noo~ let's feel bad for poor Zaney-waney! He's sooo miserable having the freedom to do whatever he wants! Everyone let's stop what we're doing and come hear Zane whine about how he didn't get enough attention, about how he was so alone! Totally not like a certain younger brother of ours had it way worse in that aspect! About how people just didn't give him a chance! The fucker manipulated and hurt people but it's their fault because the world hurt him! He was so hurt and alone! It's not like his older brother, younger brother, and his mom always tried to reach out to him! It's not like he was so fucking hell-bent on gaining approval from his father because of his small little fragile ego, that he didn't notice the people who tried to be there for him! No everything he's ever done is justified! He has no reason to, dare I say it? Apologize to those he's wronged! Even Vylad had more of a reason to do the half the crap you did. Fucking face it Zane, I may be a bad brother, but you're even worse." "You….you!" Zane stammered in anger. "G-Guys let's just calm down..!" Aphmau stuttered, trying to play peacemaker. "Y-You're the worse brother! You're the-the damn reason I can't even see out of my right eye! You never bother to acknowledge other people's feelings, you just try to make them as good and perfect~ as you want them to be! You're just as bad as dad! I never opened up to you because someone with your fucking puny intellect would never understand me! All you would have tried to do is fix me in your image! All you've done is make me miserable my entire fucking life!" Zane screeched, holding back tears. "Good. I'm glad I made you miserable. It's what a piece of shit like you deserves." Garroth hissed, the poison in his voice hit Zane harder than anything ever has. "You...you…" Zane cried in anger. "Guys!" Lucinda cried, entering alongside Aaron and Kim. "Lucinda, Aaron, Kim!" Aphmau yelled in shock. "You!!!" Garroth shouted in surprise. "Alright Garroth." Lucinda muttered, pulling out her wand.

"Zane! Zane stay with me please!" Aphmau yelled, tears pouring down her cheeks." "Come on guys we have to take Zane back inside now!" Aaron stated, picking Zane up.

OwO tell me about your disaster sibling AU?? I’ve just discovered this AU and I need more of it in my life!!
Okay sweets get ready for Kadie Rambles, this is what my life purpose is.
Okay so of course there’s Ein and Aphmau they’re like the root of the Disaster Sibling AU but there’s also Arina (From the Gacha videos), Alex (From a fanfiction I had for an entire two weeks where they all had younger sisters) and Serah (I genuinely don’t remember how she came to be one of them but she is fight me).
Serah’s oldest, Ein’s next, then there’s Arina and Aphmau, twins, but Arina’s older, and Alex is the youngest.
Now this is where things start to get a little bit confusing and much MUCH unlike cannon.
In cannon, there’s Aphmau, Zach and Sylvanna’s kid, and Ein (In my personal opinion), who is Zach and Elizabeth’s kid. Y’all know how that goes down.
In my Disaster Sibs AU, they’re not actually Sylvanna’s biological children, but she was a close family friend. I haven’t figured out Zach’s place in this.
So Disaster Sibs’ actual parents in the AU are named Aster and Mariella. Mariella is an angel because like angels exist but Mariella is also a massive bitch.
So Aphmau’s birth name was Irene because I can and also Alex’s name is Alexandra but she was called Lexie before The Incident.
The Incident in question left all of them except Alex amnesiac, barely remembering anything about their past and what they did was Not Good, also Ein’s deaf because you can pry deaf Ein out of my cold dead hands thank you very much.
Aster died in The Incident, Mariella was absolutely not sad about that as she did not truly care about Aster, and continued to be a bitch to The Disaster Sibs.
Sylvanna, the close family friend, and Aster’s most trusted friend, eventually managed to pry the kids out of Mariella’s hands, and she adopted them.
Aph changed her named from Irene to Aphmau, Alex went from Lexie to Alex, Ein got some damn attention and also hearing aids.
Now you may (Probably not) be wondering, “Why was Mariella such a bitch” well like she wanted these perfect little angel kids who were well behaved and blonde hair, blue eyes, fair skin, white wings in perfect order, well-behaved, you get the gist.
Serah was like near perfect except one of her eyes was darker and she had no wings, Ein’s appearance is like cannon but like black and blue wings, Arina was a complete psychopath who looked more like Aster (Darker skin, eyes, hair, like Sylvanna and Aphmau, y’know), and Arina also had no wings, Aphmau, y’all know what she looks like, but the feathers in her wings were all bunched up and unorganized, and then it came down to Alex, who looked like Aphmau, but her wings were white, and in perfect order, and she was little so her personality was easy enough to mold if Mariella kept her away from The Bad Ones (The rest of her family).
Aphmau ended up with like, PTSD, Dissociative Identity Disorder (Aphmau and Irene, the latter of which is like the new MCD Aphmau, Irene is aware of Aphmau but Aphmau just thinks she zones out violently for long periods of time), and also her tense of touch is dulled, she can’t feel like, pain unless it’s really REALLY bad and anything else is more or less just numb all the time.
Ein’s deaf as I mentioned before and also takes a bit to process things, other than that’s he’s just like the quirky kinda overprotective older brother. Like the voice actor dude in the angelsville videss but like. Ein. That’s literally all my characters are, the fun voice actor versions mixed with the cannon versions.
Anywho,
Serah also like hasn’t grown since she was twelve (Time time of The Incident) so she’s just stuck in a twelve year old’s body like forever.
Also due to Mariella, Alex cannot hear the word ‘Perfect’ without having a panic attack (Mari used to tell her she was ‘Perfect’ compared to the others and it got to her. She doesn’t want to be called perfect at all anymore.)
Uhhh Arina’s the same except she’s like amnesiac so she only remembers bits and pieces of Mariella and her life before The Incident.
Alex and Aphmau have insomnia.
The Incident also involves like, Travis and Aaron, Garroth, Katelyn maybe, the whole Potion Squad there.
I say ‘maybe’ with Katelyn because I have this other AU which all my other Aphmau AUs center around and I can’t decide if I wanna go the potion route like in cannon or the whole thing with the burnt down house and a haunted doll (More on that if you ask)
The ages at the time of The Incident are like, Serah’s twelve, Ein’s ten, Aphmau and Arina were eight, and Alex was five, so like at the beginning of PDH it’d be like, Serah’s eighteen, Ein’s sixteen, Aph and Arina are fourteen, and Alex is eleven, if I’m doing the math correctly.
There’s like, way more to this AU but none of it’s coming to mind and this is long enough already.
If any of y’all wanna hear more about the AU that’s more specific, just ask, I guess.

Cupcakes and Cherry Blossoms- 7: Electric
It had been about two weeks since that night, and the entire street had been thrown into utter chaos. Not only did the group lose their homes, they lost most of their possessions that they couldn't get back. The city had forced them into living in a hotel for a while, at least until they could assess the damages and decide what to do. While in the hotel, the group found a new street to live on, "Lover's Lane," (Zane wasn't too fond of the name) but they couldn't move in yet. The group was eventually told that their entire street needed to be demolished, and that they had one day to get any salvageable items before the wrecking crew came. Unfortunately, only a few of them were able to come help get all the stuff out of their houses, as most were working that entire day.
"There!" Aphmau spoke as she slammed the back of the moving van shut.
"Can we go back to the hotel now? We've been at this all day," Garroth spoke.
"Yeah, I hate to complain, but this is gruesome work. Can we please go take a nap?" Katelyn agreed.
"Ya Katelyn," Travis flirted, "let's go take a nap together~"
"No guys," Aaron spoke, before Katelyn could react. "I know we're all tired. Believe me, I could fall asleep in the middle of the road if I just laid down. But we need to finish this. We haven't even started the girl's house, and it's already getting dark. Come on, let's get going."
The group sighed and walked over to Aphmau, Katelyn, and Kawaii~Chan's old house, while Aaron climbed into the front of the moving van to drive it over there. Aphmau, through tired eyes kept close watch on Zane. He was prone to try slipping away from the group if he got a chance, probably wanting to go back to the hotel and take a cat nap. Speaking of cats...
"Has anyone seen Kawaii~Chan?" Katelyn looked around, "She was here just a minute ago..."
While the rest of the group spoke with each other, confused, Zane just smiled while Aaron parked the moving van. As soon as he opened the door, Aphmau ran up to him and asked about KC. He didn't know anything, and Zane smiled as Aaron opened the van's door to find a purring Kawaii~Chan, sleeping on one of the packed mattresses. He had saw her when she slipped in there, looking like death. He was jealous of her cat-like stealth, knowing that if he had that ability he wouldn't just take a nap in a moving van. No, sir, he would be out of there faster than you could call his name.
"Kawaii~Chan!" Aphmau shook the poor girl, "Wake up!"
Zane slipped out of sight of the van for a moment as the girl woke up. He wouldn't admit it, but he had been avoiding her since the night of the flood almost two weeks ago.. Every time he heard she was going to be somewhere, he refused to go, when he saw her the few times he left his hotel room he made sure to not make conversation, so much as eye contact was too horribly awkward for him to handle. So, he hid like the coward he was, just out of sight of the girl. He heard a yawn.
"Huh?"
"Kawaii~Chan," Aphmau started, "I know you're tired, but we're almost done. we just have to clean our house out, and then we can go back to the hotel and sleep all we want."
Kawaii~Chan, although Aph made a pretty convincing argument, groaned and rolled over. At this point, Garroth, Aaron, and Travis had started getting stuff from inside and bringing it to the yard. Katelyn sighed.
"Kawaii~Chan, didn't you want to get your pink mass of a tree from your room?" Katelyn questioned. KC immediately shot up.
"Cherry blossom!" She exclaimed, jumping up and sprinting into the house. Aphmau laughed.
"What is it with her and that tree?"
"That's right, you haven't been rooming with us in the hotel. She's been having a lot of anxiety problems lately, and it has something to do with the tree? I dunno. Whenever she gets in a mood, she complains about how we couldn't come here and get the cherry blossom from her room. I think it calms her or something. She's been having it a lot worse since this flood."
"Man, I hope she's okay. I've always known she had slight anxiety, but never anything like this. What do you think brought it on?"
"I dunno. I can tell it's not new though." There was silence for a moment between the two girls. Everyone else was inside getting things, and now Zane was in a bit of a predicament. If he went inside, the girls would see him and think he was eavesdropping on a deeply personal conversation (Which was exactly what he was doing, though it wasn't intentional). If he stayed here, he would be eavesdropping even more, which he didn't want either.
"Katelyn," Aphmau started, "Have you ever wondered why we don't know anything about Kawaii~Chan's family? Her past?"
"Now that you mention it, I do think it's a bit odd. We've known her for years, since high school. I wonder why she hasn't told us anything..."
"Don't ask," Aphmau spoke, quickly. "If she's having trouble with anything, she can come to us. She knows that."
Another silence. Zane, now deeply uncomfortable, stood perfectly still, trying not to make a sound. He just needed a way to get out of there without the girls seeing him.
Thankfully, Travis walked over with a box full of salvageable items.
"Heeey Katelyn," He spoke in a tryhard flirty voice.
"Oh Irene," Zane thought.
"Is there any way I could move these boxes into your heart?" Zane cringed. It was so bad. But it was the perfect distraction. Katelyn, appalled, grabbed the box from the white haired boy and stomped on his foot- hard.
"OWW! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!" Travis grabbed his foot and hopped on the other one, when he lost his balance and fell over. Zane ran over to the house as the girls laughed and helped him up.
When he got inside, he breathed a heavy sigh of relief. He did not want to know what would have happened if he stayed out there. After regaining composure, he looked around in shock. You could tell it had once been Aphmau's house, but it was a shell of it's former self. The dank house smelled of... something rotting. Furnture was upturned, miscellaneous items were strewn everywhere, and floorboards creaked as Zane walked from room to room. After a bit, he saw Aaron, searching the kitchen.
"Oh, Zane, there you are. Garroth and I can take care of this floor. Why don't you go help Kawaii~Chan with the second floor? We're almost done down here."
Zane scoffed. He was trying to avoid Kawaii~Chan, not help her! "What about the basement?"
"Don't even try. The stairs broke and we can't get down there. Besides, I can't imagine there would be anything salvageable down there anyways." Zane sighed, unable to think of a comeback. He started heading upstairs, figuring that he could still avoid the meif'wa even if they were on the same floor. That plan was immediately ruined when he walked into Aphmau's old room to find everything already packed up. His entire plan was to clean out Aph's room, as he was closest with her, but it seemed as if Aaron had cleaned it out before he he'd even got into the house. He had even cleaned out the ensuite! Now Zane had no idea what he was going to do. He couldn't clean Katelyn's room because she would snap his neck, he couldn't help out Kawaii~Chan because of... obvious reasons, and...
"Wait a second," he thought, "The bathroom!" Zane left Aphmau's room in a hurry, clearly proud of himself for coming up with such a brilliant idea. Though, when he passed Kawaii~Chan's room, he stopped himself. The door was open.
"Where is it?!" The meif'wa groaned in frustration as she slammed her nightstand drawer shut. Her room was in shambles, and not because of the water. She seemed to be looking for something, something important by the looks of it. As she slammed another drawer shut, she turned around and saw Zane staring at her, and immediately blushed. Zane averted his eyes, also blushing. He stared at his feet, trying not to make the situation any more awkward than it already was.
"Shit," He thought. Kawaii~Chan, though, didn't wait a moment.
"Zane~Kun, could you help Kawaii~Chan find something?"
"Aah," Zane fumbled on his words. "W-What is it?"
Kawaii~Chan sighed and turned to Zane, looking directly at the floor.
"It's a- a silver pendant... with a pink cherry blossom charm on it. K-Kawaii~Chan has had it with her," She paused, gulping. "All her life" She gripped her skirt, wrapping the fabric around her clenched fists. She clenched her jaw and shut her eyes tight. Zane could see her lip starting to tremble. Before she could start to cry, though, Zane remembered something.
"Hmph," Kawaii~Chan turned and leaned against the wall, knees pressed against her chest. She fiddled with something silver in her hands. It reflected against the minimal light in the room, shining in Zane's eyes. "What do you two even do, anyways? The only thing you have in common is ponies! Kawaii~Chan doesn't even see how you could be friends!"
"That thing she had... that must be what she's talking about..." Zane thought. Then he remembered her dropping it... He ran downstairs.
"Zane~Kun?" Kawaii~Chan brokenly called after him. She didn't follow, though, instead she sniffed, wiped her eyes, and set back to finding it. If anything, the whole conversation just made her more determined. She didn't need his help anyways, she thought. Meanwhile, Zane was tearing apart the living room. To be fair, it was already in shambles, he was just... Adding to it. He looked in every crevice he could think of, to no avail. The only thing really keeping him going at this point was that he didn't want to just leave her up here all sad, though he wouldn't admit it, even to himself.
"I'm trying to avoid her," He thought, "I just am searching for this thing to get away from her." Even he was having trouble convincing himself of that at this point. He kept searching, and finally, finally, he found the small piece of chain. The water from the flood must have really gotten to it, because it was tangled up in the insides of the couch. Zane worked carefully to try and untangle it, easier said than done. After probably five minutes of work, he finally got the necklace out from the inner workings of the couch. He took a moment to admire the piece of jewelry in front of him. It was simple and cute, though it had a touch of elegance to it. Though, upon further inspection, he noticed something. One of the blossom's petals was completely split in half.
"Oh no," Zane whispered, holding the necklace in his hands. After a bit of searching, he found the other half, though it had a large scratch through it, that probably happened when it broke. Zane knew that Kawaii~Chan would be devastated, based on how much she seemed to care for the jewelry, but she would be even more so if she never saw the necklace again. She had to know.
Zane climbed up the stairs and stepped into Kawaii~Chan's room. She had her back turned to him, looking in her bedside table probably for the millionth time. He knocked, and she turned and looked at him, her eyes red and puffy.
"Zane~Kun? Kawaii~Chan thought you left." She sniffled and shut her nightstand drawer.
"I found it."
Kawaii~Chan turned so quickly you would have thought that she broke her neck. "What? Are you serious?! Let Kawaii~Chan see!" She ran over to him, eyes shining brighter than Zane had ever seen them. The light was immediately put out when he laid her eyes on what Zane held out to her.
Her fragile hands covered her mouth as her eyes stared to well up with tears. Trembling, she took the necklace as her knees gave out on her. As she fell to her knees, she released a sob as she held the chain in her hands.
"Shit," Zane thought, "Why is it that the only person I've ever had to comfort was her?" Zane sat down on the floor next to her, trying so hard to be comforting, though he was just too awkward to do so, also she was crying pretty freaking hard. After some ugly sobs, Kawaii~Chan turned and rested her head in the crook of Zane's shoulder. She didn't care who it was, she just needed to be held right now, and Zane's big comfy sweater was perfect for the job. Zane, at this point, was blushing madly, and after the shock wore off, he wrapped his arms around her. They stayed like that for a while, holding each other, until Kawaii~Chan's ugly sobs turned into soft, quiet ones. After a moment, she let go, immediately regretting leaving his body heat. She was still very close to him, but even so he hugged onto herself. Zane was staring at her intently, she knew that even as she brought her hand up to look at the necklace again, touching the broken part softly with her other hand.
"This was Kawaii~Chan's mother's..."

Over Time, Chapter 1 - Eyes Wide Open
About: A year and a half. 18 months. More than 550 days. Enough time to change your mind about the people you call your friends. Enough time to change your mind about the ones you don’t. And in a blink of an eye, it  all disappeared.
Rated: M for mature themes.
The first thing Kawaii-Chan noticed as she slowly began to awaken was how dry her mouth felt. The kind of dry you expect of someone who hadn’t drank enough water ⎯⎯ or anything, for that matter ⎯⎯ for days on end. Even without pressing her lips together she could tell that they felt dry, the beginning stages of chapped lips forming at the edges.
This all seemed very strange and unusual to her.
Kawaii-Chan was very habitual about her water-intake and lip gloss usage throughout the day. She even made sure to keep a bottle of water by her bedside every night. The combination of this information gave her pause and the hairs on the back of her neck stood on end.
She tried to think about the last thing she could remember. What had she been doing yesterday? The day before that? Her mind felt hazy, the nagging of forgetting something at the back of her thoughts. She had just been at Aphmau’s house discussing the maid cafe plans with her. Kawaii-Chan had gone straight back to the home she shared with Katelyn, but this didn’t feel like home.
The confused Meif'wa, without moving or opening her eyes, tried to use her senses to take in her surroundings. The sound of a steady beep bounced off the walls in her room. In the distance, the faint rush of footsteps and murmurs. And, much to her dismay, the smell of sterile products filled her nostrils. Kawaii-Chan knew exactly where she was as soon as she could feel the beeping in the background speed up as anxiety fueled her heart rate instantly.
Somehow, Kawaii-Chan had ended up in the hospital.
She slowly opened one eye to assess some of her room. light shining through was faint but bright, the orange, blue and yellow tones telling her it was early in the morning. The room’s main light had been turned off. And she was alone.
The sound of the door to her room flew open so fast that she couldn’t helped the strangled yelp that came out of her, scaring the entering nurse in the process. The scream Kawaii-Chan tried to let out made her choke and start coughing.
“Oh, Irene, she’s awake,” the nurse muttered to herself before running back out the door.
She tried slowing her coughing down as much as she could, but the small gasps of air were drying her throat up more. As soon as she was able to start taking small, short breaths through her nose she could feel the burning sensation lessen.
A few moments later, she returned with a cup of water and helped Kawaii-Chan bring the cup up to her lips. A few gulps was enough to stop coughing completely and allow her to mutter out a sign of gratitude.
That was when Kawaii-Chan was really able to take in her injuries. Her left arm had been wrapped in gauze from her palm to almost her elbow. She didn’t have any pain when she flexed and rotated it, but saw the yellowing of a fade bruise peaking up the back of her arm towards her shoulder. Her right hand had her heart rate monitor and her arm an IV tube attached. There were tiny to small cuts and bruises up the arm, but nothing that warranted covering.
She laid her head back down on her pillow and let out a heavy sigh. Her normally long and perfectly curled hair felt limp and confined by something on her head. Reaching her left hand up to her temple, she felt the gauze that wrap completely around her head, holding larger padding pressed against her left side.
“It’s great to see you finally awake, Miss Chan,” the nurse spoke to her gently.
She could feel scared and frustrated tears begin to form in her eyes. All she could do was stare at the older woman, silently willing her to give her something positive to hold on to.
“I’m going to leave you for a few minutes to let your doctor know you’re awake,” the nurse continued. “You have so many wonderful friends who have been coming in every day to see you and be with you. The first of them should be here any minute now. You won’t be alone in here for much longer, I promise. Will you be alright while I go get her really quick?”
The nurse grabbed a tissue out of the tissue box and placed it in Kawaii-Chan’s hands. She was grateful as the tears in her eyes had made her vision go blurry. She nodded, still not daring to speak, as she wiped away the tears slipping down her cheeks.
True to her word, the nurse returned not three minutes later. This time, with a guest.
“Miss Chan, you have a very eager visitor!”
She braced herself for the rush of Katelyn and Aphmau’s presence, not realizing just how much she needed a group hug from the girls she had begun to see as sisters.
Instead, she watched in confusion as a dark-haired man whipped around from behind the nurse, a bouquet of flowers in his hands tossed to the chair beside her, rushed to her bedside to engulfed her in his arms.
“You have no idea how much I’ve missed you, Kawaii-Chan,” he whispered into her ear.
Zane Ro'Meave pulled away from her and placed his hands softly on the sides of her cheek. She could tell that he was analyzing her condition, staring the longest at the bandages on her head. She barely registered the smiling nurse slowly backing out of the room to leave them be.
“How are feeling? Does anything hurt? Do you need anything?”
Kawaii-Chan had seen first hand how overprotective Zane’s nature could be, but had only seen him act that way towards his best-friend, Aphmau. Carefully, as not to disturb her IV, she brought her hands up to his wrists and slowly pulled his hands away from her face. She could the look of disappointment flash across his face as she did so.
“Uh, Mr. Zane,” she started, her voice still harsh for not using it for – how long had it been, she pondered. “N-not that Kawaii-Chan doesn’t a-appreciate you being here, but where’s Katelyn-Sama and Aphmau-Senpai?”
She couldn’t help but glance at the door as she spoke hoping that her friends were close behind him to visit her.
What she hadn’t been expecting was his furrowed brow, the hitch in his breath, or the stiffening of his body as he jolted back slightly away from her. His eyes darted to her bandaged head wound and back to her eyes. Zane seemed to be searching for something in her eyes, but she couldn’t for the life of her think as to what.
“K-kawaii-Chan, what did you just call me?”
“Mr. Zane?” Even as she spoke the words she began to question them, wondering what was suddenly so odd about how she addressed him. It was how she always addressed him. What was so strange about him hearing it now, when she had called him that only a few days prior? The beeping monitor increased again beside her.
Tears welled up in the young man’s eyes as he leaned on his knees, his hands burying and pulling at his hair.
“N-no. This can’t be happening!”
Over the bent head of her bedside companion, she noticed the taped calendar page on her nurse’s whiteboard on the wall.
July 2018, it read.
Kawaii-Chan’s eyes widen as she realized she was missing the last year and a half of her life.
The door to the hospital room opened once again. Kawaii-Chan’s doctor, a female Meif'wa, had entered in. She was one of three Meif'wa doctors on staff at Phoenix Drop General Hospital and had come highly recommended to Zianna Ro'Meave, Zane’s mother. He had been very grateful for the pull at the hospital his family. It had ensured that Kawaii-Chan would received the best attention possible during her stay.
“Well, good morning, Miss Chan! I’m Doctor Flora. How are you doin–”
“She’s lost her memory,” he yelled at her, jumping from his seat to turn and face her.
Zane hadn’t meant to inform her the way he did, but couldn’t help himself. His heart hurt. It wasn’t supposed to be hurting. He wasn’t prepared to feel pain today. It wasn’t supposed to be like this, he thought. A fresh wave of tears threatened to spill over.
He watched as Doctor Flora let out a disappointing sigh and stared at the chart in her hand. Kawaii-Chan had been silent. Zane could see out of the corner of his eye that she was still slightly in shock from everything that was happening. He wanted so desperately to sit back down and hold her hand. To reassure her that everything was going to be fine because he was going to make it fine even if it killed him.
But she didn’t remember him. Not him of today. She could only remember the him from almost two years ago. Instead, he slipped his hand into his pocket. It was the only thing he could think of to do to keep himself from touching her and possibly making her more than she already was.
The doctor started walking around to all of Kawaii-Chan’s monitors and IV packs, checking her vitals. He watched as she poked and prodded her. Her temperature was taken, and her eye dilation and hearing were tested before she spoke again.
“Miss Chan, it seems that your vitals are all well for now. I’d like to run a few more tests today to get a further analysis though. In the meantime, can you please tell me what the last events were that your remember?”
“I-I remember coming home from a friend’s house. We were talking about starting a business. I remember going home, but,” she paused, thinking hard before continuing. “Kawaii-Chan… d-doesn’t remember anything after that.”
Zane felt like the wind had been knocked out of his system. Through the hair that covered his eyes, he could see the doctor tossing him a sympathetic glance. It had been so much worse than he had imagined. Even though she had called him Mr. Zane, he had hoped so much that maybe it wasn’t as bad as he imagined. He remembered the day she spoke of, though. He remembered getting texts from Aphmau about that meet-up at her house and the subsequent meetings and events that transpired from there.
He didn’t think it was possible for his heart to break further.
“I see,” Doctor Flora had started. “Well, Miss Chan. You unfortunately received a damaging head wound that we suspected might affect your memory. Unfortunately, we hadn’t anticipated it being that much memory loss. I’m going to see if I can get some tests scheduled for you over the course of the next two days, so as not to overwhelm you any further than you already are.”
With a short head nod and smile at them both, the pair watched as the doctor spun on her heel and headed out the room.
Zane felt the familiar buzz of his phone in his pocket and pulled it out to see a text from Katelyn.
Hey! Got here a bit early today. We’re all here in the waiting room. Just let us know when we can come in. :)
It was the usual text he received from her on Thursday mornings. Since Kawaii-Chan had landed in the hospital, the group had taken turns coming in to check on and stay with her from the start to end of visitation hours. Zane had the largest amount of shifts, which he insisted he take. He arrived for the first hour alone, allowed others to visit with her until from 11 AM to 2 PM to give them a break for lunch, again from 4 PM to 7 PM for dinner breaks, and then got the last hour with her alone. Thursday mornings were the only time of the week the entire group could get together to visit with her.
Zane let out a heavy-hearted sigh before locking his phone and slipping it back to his pocket. He felt Kawaii-Chan’s eyes shift back to look at him. His heart began to ache thinking about how difficult all of this much be on her. He took in a deep breath before grabbing the bouquet of flowers he had brought her off the chair. Silently, he turned to her bedside table to take out last week’s flowers and replace them with this week’s. He bought a new bouquet of various pink flowers for her each week in hopes that the floral scent would lure her back to consciousness.
Still not speaking, he made his way towards the door. He could feel her eyes at the back of his head the whole time. His hand on the doorknob before him, Zane was finally able to bring himself to speak.
“The others are waiting outside.”
He turned his head back to her and faked the biggest smile he could manage. He knew deep down that she would be able to tell it was fake, though. She always could. But could she still? Would she know?
“They’re going to be so happy to hear you’re awake. Don’t worry, Miss Chan! I won’t keep them away from you for long.”
Zane opened and closed the door behind him as fast as he could manage. He felt… pain. So much pain that he hadn’t allowed himself to feel in almost a month. He needed to hurry, though. Walking fast down the halls to the waiting room was all he could focus on. He knew how much she hated to be alone, and how much more she hated hospitals.
As Katelyn said, the group really was all there. Travis, Dante, Kim and Lucinda sat on the couch engrossed in a conversation with Garroth. Beside them, Aaron, Aphmau, Katelyn and Lawrence were catching up on the last few days. All of them had their morning coffees and teas clutched in their hands trying to fuel them for the day’s tasks.
Conversations paused as he entered in the room. Smiles dropped off their faces one by one as he lifted his tired head to look at them.
“Zane… what’s wrong?” Aphmau spoke.
“Kawaii-Chan’s awake,” he managed to choke out.
The group cheered and hugged each other. Eliated to hear the last of their worries were beginning to finally wash away.
It was Aaron who first realized something wasn’t quite right. Zane could see his ear twitch toward him as turned his head to look back at him.
“Uh, Zane? Why don’t you seem very happy?”
Zane swallowed hard.
“Kawaii-Chan has lost part of her memory, it seems.” He could feel the old cold version of himself start to bubble back to the surface. He could feel himself begin to cut himself off emotionally again from his friends, and he really didn’t feel like fighting it this time. “She’s lost the last year and a half of her life.”
The smiles they just had faded away. Gasps were heard escaping the lips of a few of his friends. Saying the information aloud made the air in the open room feel stiff and heavy.
Katelyn stepped up to him, her facial expression difficult to read.
“You mean–”
“She doesn’t remember anything that happened. She doesn’t remember the maid cafe ever launching. She doesn’t remember any of us going to the lodge. She doesn’t remember… anything.”
He needed to get away. He needed to get away from this hospital and his friends and everyone’s sympathetic gazes before he threw someone out the sixth story window of the hospital. Zane started slowly backing away from the group.
“You guys need to go in there and be with her. She’s all alone in there.”
“Zane!” He heard his older brother call out to him, but he couldn’t stop now.
“Please be careful with her today. Don’t force her to remember anything or bother her with filling in the blanks.”
“Zane, wait!”
I can’t, Aph. I can’t.
He was so close to the end of the short hallway. Zane pressed the elevator button as quick as he could manage. He stepped into the elevator and remember to call out one last piece of instruction at his friends.
“And for the love of Irene, hide your ring, Aph! And hide your ears and scent, Aaron! She needs her rest, not to fangirl with what little energy she has right now over you two.”
As the doors closed him into the lift, finally alone with his thoughts, he leaned against the wall and let his head drop back, the tears he hadn’t realized he had spilled onto his cheeks still unnoticed.

I’m sorry
(A/N: Okay I’d like to point something out. This fan fiction me and one of my friends are planning on writing so I decided to write this a bit early and post it on here)
“We finally get to go home!” Aph screeched excitingly as the portal opened and we saw our future selves. I stared at myself she was wearing my favorite sweater. Why did this feel so wrong? I could see it in her face to it was scrunched up as she attempted to hide herself.
“Oh I can’t wait!” I heard Phoenix squeal next to me. She jumped up and down squealing. But it was fading away. Everything started feeling so far away. Almost how you see flashbacks in movies.
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
“Alice are you sure your ready for this?” The woman asked. Now I can notice the smaller details that now made me want to scream.
My eyes. She had my eyes. And the scar I got on my collarbone when I was ten. And the way she was looking at me. The pity.
“Yeah of course I’m becoming a relic can’t be the worst thing to happen to me can it.” I laughed lightly shrugging. She chuckled to now it was obvious she remembered saying those words.
“Oh no no it won’t be my dear. Now go get that demon.” She encouraged me with that smile. My smile. She tightened her grip on my shoulders. “I’m so sorry abo-“
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
“-ut the fate I lead you to.” I took a few steps back from the portal grabbing my head. I felt my eyes go wide and I caught my breath. “This isn’t the fate I was lead to.”
“What was that Alice?” Lucinda said using one hand to keep the portal open. Everyone had crossed over already…they were waiting for me. I felt a metal hand touch my shoulder.
I looked up and saw Garroth. Not my Garroth the other Alice’s Garroth. Did he have the same kind of relationship me and my Garroth had? If he did he was most definitely gonna hate me for what I was about to do.
“Do you guys remember Alana? From the relic place?” I asked turning my head from Garroth to future Alice. She gave me a soft smile she knew what I was doing. She had tears in the corner of her eyes.
“Yeah of course. She was so badass!” Kaytlen exclaimed. Pumping her fist into the air. I really hoped the Kaytlen over here had the same powerful spirit the same fury like her title eludes to her having.
“Now what if I told you her actual name was Alice.” I said searching in they’re eyes for the best way to explain the best way to say this.
“Why are you bringing up this coincidence now?” Nana asked. I felt tears start to well up in my eyes. Why was this so much harder than it should be.
“Yeah. Can’t we talk about this later?” Zane asked an arm wrapped around Phoenix. Her face was confused to a realization than it switched to a look of anger.
“No your my best friend! You! You can’t leave.” Phoenix exclaimed. I gave her a soft smile. Tears falling down her face to.
“I’m not leaving silly. Just…giving you someone new to make memories with.” I said looking at the other Alice. “Right?” I asked her stepping towards the portal.
“Right.” Her tone. It was my voice but so different so much softer more gentle than I could ever manage.
“I don’t care!” Both Phoenix’s exclaimed at the same time walking towards the portal. They looked at each other for a moment seeming to come to a silent agreement. Then they pulled each other through.
Phoenix walked up and hugged me tight. I was shocked. “She wasn’t you. And I hate to say it but I want to stay here with you.” Phoenix explained. I hugged her tight letting more tears fall.
“My friends.” The other Alice said and looked over the people who crossed to what was now my side of the portal. “I love you all dearly but,” she paused and smiled at Garroth weakly. “Fate has a path me and my counterpart and it’s time we follow it.”
She walked up to me we stared into each others eyes for a few moments. “Take care of them.” I said sobbing harder. Phoenix took a step away from me. Why did this have to feel like it was tearing me from the inside out.
“Only if you promise to take care of them.” The other Alice stayed stated. Blinking through my tears I could see she was crying to. Than I saw a blonde and blue blur shove his way to the front of the crowd.
“Al…” It was Garroth’s voice. My Garroth. I should’ve known he wouldn’t just stand back as I did this. I smiled at him whipping away my tears.
“We all always talked about how my life never seemed like it fit me. Now this my chance to make a new life.” I looked at Garroth and gave him a bittersweet smile. The other Alice and took a few steps back. I nodded towards Lucinda. “I’m also terrible at goodbyes.” I explained. “But this isn’t a goodbye. I’m sorry Gar.”
I looked away as the Lucinda’s jumped through causing the portals to close.I collapsed onto my knees sobbing me and Phoenix held each other. Now I was alone next to Lucinda’s house with a bunch of strangers. My only friend in my arms.
I soon felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see Garroth. “Alice right?” He asked in my Garroth’s gentle tone. I couldn’t help but melt into it as I nodded. “We can’t stay here we’re gonna take you two somewhere safe where we can talk.” I couldn’t help but let him guide me to stand up. He felt so safe almost like home.
Before I knew it we were sitting in Aphmau’s house and a young boy was handing me and Phoenix cups of tea. Phoenix was on my right with Garroth on my left. “So you meant she um the other you are from future to us but past in your timeline. And she was protecting the place where ancient relics are made?” Aphmau asked.
“Yes that is the simplest way to summarize it.” I explained to Lord Aphmau. “Thank you Malichi” I said as the young man handed me a cup. He looked at me shocked I just smiled at him and sipped my tea.
“So she chose for you to go back to the past?” Past Kaytlen’s voice trembled with anger and I couldn’t help but flinch. I should have never doubted her fire. I was so emotionally exhausted I just couldn’t help but flinching though. I felt Garroth wrap a arm around my shoulders and pull me away from Kaytlen slightly accidentally pulling me away from Phoenix but she was far to distracted staring at the docks blankly.
“It wasn’t her fault…Or at least I believe it wasn’t.” I sighed out taking a long sip of tea. “It’s a lot to explain in one night unless you guys have knowledge on a time paradox?” I looked up half hopeful but the point didn’t seem to get across. Judging the confused look on all they’re faces. They had no clue.
“Well while I’m sure we’re all intrigued by that topic I must say we should have that conversation another time.” Garroth suggested and everyone agreed. His voice was so firm yet still so calming. The parts I loved the most about my Garroth. But I quickly shook off those thoughts.
“Oh thank Irene.” I sighed out relaxing slightly. I was lean I was leaning into Garroth but I didn’t have the energy to do anything different. “That would have taken all night.” I said doing my best to choke down a yawn..
“Oh your probably exhausted..we all are finish your tea. Than please get some rest.” Aphmau said than excusing herself to retire for the night. Phoenix stood up and I looked at her.
“I’m going to go to the docks. I’ll meet up with you later.” She said leaving her tea on the table and walking out. Everyone’s face wore confusion.
“Zane is at the docks. And him and your guys’ previous Phoenix had somewhat of a romantic endeavor. Well so did our previous Zane.” I explained to them. They all fell silent.
Once I finished my cup I walked outside and stared over the wheat field. I than heard someone approach from behind.
“Lady Alice?” It was Garroth’s voice I felt like I was melting. I turned my head to him and smiled. “May I walk you back to where you are staying to assure you get back safe and sound?” He asked such a gentlemen.
“You may I’m staying in a camp across town.” I said walking towards him. It would be cold tonight being the only one there.
He looked at me shocked. “That’s far to dangerous there’s a spare room in the place where I’m staying. We can get your things and head there.” He said alerting a guard. “Please go tell Lady Phoenix where I am with Alice here and tell her she is welcome to as well.” The guard saluted than ran off. Garroth began to walk off taking my hand and leading me.
“That’s very kind thank you.” I said he appeared to instinctively pulled me into him and his warmth. Wrapping an arm around my shoulders. “Pardon my forwardness but what was your relationship with your Alice?” I asked staring at his hand.
“Well I hate to say it but we were trying to make something out of nothing.” He explained walking forwards. He had one hand on the hilt of his sword. One of his eyebrows than raised. “What about you and your Garroth?” He questioned.
“Well while your description fits it’s a bit off. We had chemistry but something about our personalities just didn’t-“ While I was explaining we slowed down almost completely stopping.
“Fit” We both said at the same time. Witch caused me to jump and cover my mouth. I looked him in the eyes.
“That’s a much better fit for what I was trying to describe.” He said looking down at me smiling. We stood there for a moment looking at each other. I thought about kissing him but no. Not yet anyways.

TSOTBL - Morning Haziness
In a few more days Garte would finally arrive to the lodge and everyone would get to come back home, they can handle a few more days at the lodge right?
Lucinda walked into the kitchen, her hair was a mess and she was sloppily dressed. Kim happened to be in the kitchen as well.
“Hey Lucinda are you alright? You look like a bird flew into your hair and you fell face first onto the pavement.” Kim asked, surprised at her friends appearance. “No, I'm not. I haven't been able to get any sleep these past few days.” Lucinda responded, cranky with the lack of sleep. “Why is that?” “I don't know! I keep feeling this weird, static feeling and every night it gets worse! It keeps me up all. Night. Long.” “Geez that sounds awful, do you know what's causing it?” “No! And it's driving me crazy!” Lucinda shouted, slamming her head onto the countertop.” “Hmm that's weird….” Kim muttered. “Not the only weird thing about this whole damn lodge anyway….” “Yeah… I can definitely agree with you on that….” “Anyways, how have you been holding up?” “I've...been fine! I guess….” “Good for you.” “I've been... reading and uh, napping….a lot.” “Irene I wish that were me.” “It's been so horrendously boring around here though, we're almost done cleaning the lodge and there's less and less things to do! With nothing to do I have to be alone with my thoughts, and I hate being alone with my thoughts!” “At least we'll be gone soon, just seven more days…” “Feels....like forever….” Kim trailed off. “Remember, we just have to be patient Kim.” Lucinda assured Kim. “Yeah. I…just...” “Uh Kim, you alright?” “Yeah….yeah-um, it’s nothing! Bye now!” Kim uttered, speed walking out of the kitchen. “Dammit! There she goes acting weird as shit again!” Lucinda slammed her head against the counter once more, in frustration. “I need to find out what's wrong with her and soon!
As Lucinda screamed internally, slouched over the kitchen counter. Aaron walked in to grab something to eat and noticed Lucinda slouched over..
“Uhh...Lucinda are you okay?” Aaron asked awkwardly yet somewhat concerned, looking at Lucinda, poking her shoulder. “No…” Lucinda groaned, picking herself up from the counter. “What happened?” “Everything…” “I see…” Aaron said, setting some water to heat. “Doesn't seem like you got a good night's sleep, you look like if a bird sold their run-down nest to an all too sentimental-bordering-on-hoarding frog.” “Gee, thanks.” “H-Heh um, h-hows Kim doing?” Aaron stuttered, quickly changing the subject. “Nope. She was fine before she left but then she started acting weird again.” “Again? Have you figured out what it is that's wrong with her?” “No, because I haven't been able to focus with everything that's been happening with this stupid lodge!” Lucinda snapped in frustration. “There was the whole boiler thing, and then our cars broke down, and then there's that weird cave full of bad energies LITERALLY behind the wall of the library in this lodge that we STILL haven't figured out how to close up, I can't sleep, and all the food we have is crap! Sorry if I can't detect anything right now!” “Hey calm down! I understand that this whole situation has been stressful, but we have to take a moment to breathe alright?” “I know it's just!....look I'm sorry for snapping at you like that, it's just frustrating not being able to do anything about a situation like this….I’m a prodigy! This shouldn’t be any problem at all..” Lucinda sighed. “It’s fine Lucinda, the situation has been rather...difficult, to say the least.” “Hey, do you happen to know anything about the lodge and it's specifics of being built?” Lucinda asked, hoping Aaron might know something. “Not really, although when we went to that liquor store the other day, the really jolly guy told me that BunnyHill has one of the largest burial sites in the country.” “Really? There being a lot of ghosts would make sense if that's the case, but why would there be so many upset spirits?” “I'm not sure…” “Do you know anything else?” “No, that's all he told me.” “Hmm, maybe we should try asking Zane or Garroth, they know a bit about the lodge. Actually speaking of Garroth, he didn't come down for breakfast this morning.” “Odd. I'll go check on Garroth and try my luck with him to see if he knows anything, he won't snap at me like Zane probably would.” “Alright, thanks.”
Aaron headed over to Garroth's room, he needed to talk to him.
“Garroth? Are you there? I wanted to talk to you about something….” Aaron asked, knocking on Garroth's door.
No answer.
“Garroth?” Aaron tried opening the door but it was locked.”Hm maybe he's somewhere else? But I haven't seen him leave his room…”
Before Aaron could step back to leave Garroth's door flung open. It nearly hit Aaron's face.
“What is it?” Garroth asked somewhat annoyed, his hair was a mess and he looked incredibly tired. “Oh hey! For a second I didn't think you were there, it was so quiet and-” “What is it that you want Aaron?” Garroth cut Aaron off, more annoyed than the first time. “Oh right, I just needed to talk to you, can I come in…?” “Fine, just make it quick.”
Garroth's room was in disarray, the blankets were sloppily piled over the bed and some of Garroth's possessions we're scattered around the room.
“Geez Garroth this place is a mess! We've got to have this place clean before your dad gets here y'know!” Aaron commented, looking around the room in shock. Garroth was usually more organized. “Is that all you wanted to lecture me about? Because I have other things to do.” Garroth asked, tapping his foot impatiently. “What? No, no! I wanted to talk to you about lodge, since you seem to know a lot about it.” Aaron insisted. “Alright, what do you want to know?” “Do you know the specifics of this land? You know the very spot the lodge was built?” “Not really, I know more about the scaling, the worth, foot traffic, and a bit of the history, but not really anything to do with the lodge grounds itself.” Garroth explained. “Hmm I see….” Aaron muttered. “All I can tell you is that this particular spot of land in BunnyHill apparently never grew anything, that's why they chose to a building of its structure here. My father probably knows more about it, seeing as he bought the place n’ all, maybe you can ask him when he gets here!” Garroth advised. “Yeah that's right! Thanks Garroth.” Aaron thanked Garroth, walking towards the exit of the room.”By the way, or you feeling alright? I don't wanna sound rude but you seem a bit uh, off this morning.” “Oh..oh it's nothing I'm just...a bit tired I guess…” Garroth mumbled, looking to the floor. “You look tired, get some more sleep. We're almost done cleaning the lodge anyway time isn't too important right now.” “Yeah...yeah I'll probably get myself some more shut eye right now…” “That's good, take care alright?” “You too.”
Aaron exited Garroth's room and went down the stairs, Kim was standing at the end of them.
“Hey Kim, whats up?”
Kim said nothing, she just stared.
“Uh Kim? Did you hear me?”
Kim shook her head and blinked a couple of times before looking back to Aaron.
“Oh hey Aaron, sorry I think I was spacing out…what did you tell me?” “Oh, I just asked you what's up.” “From this side of the stairs, you apparently.” “Okay, I set myself up for that one, that I'll admit.” “Haha!” Kim laughed. “I swear Garroth's rubbing off on you too much…” “Probably, but it could be worse, I could be body slamming into windows.” “GARROTH DOES THAT?” Aaron asked in complete shock and confusion. “No, you do. Aphmau told me you've done that like, four or five times in the past.” Kim elaborated. “FIRST I'VE ONLY DONE IT THREE TIMES, SECOND I BET SHE DIDN'T EVEN GIVE YOU THE CONTEXT.” “Nope! She didn't give me any context whatsoever.” “Just when I thought I would never have to explain that story to anyone ever again….oh, before I forget, today we all have to touch up the last few rooms in the third floor and I think we should be done with the lodge once and for all.” “Really?” “Yup! We'll all get together in about two hours.” “Alright then!”
The two went off to tell the others.
//Howdy y'all! I'm going to be on a vacation with my family next week and won't be able to post. Regular posting will return June 17th!//

TSOTBL - Force Of Habit
It was a good evening, fresh snow piled everywhere, the wolves trotted through the thick forest and the wind whistled through the pine trees quite nicely.
Everyone had washed up and went downstairs for dinner, well, almost everyone anyway.
“Man I'm getting tired of eating eggs….” Aphmau grumbled, poking at her food with a fork. “Unfortunately it's all we have, we're starting to run low on food, so we have to make due with what we have.” Aaron explained. He was tired of the liquor store food as well. “Not to mention we didn't anticipate you and Zane staying here with us, so we're kinda under stocked.” Lucinda added. “True, true…” Aphmau nodded. Her eggs we're getting cold, that made them even less appetizing than they already were, and they weren't very appetizing to begin with. “As long as everybody is eating, right?” Aaron commented. “Not everyone,” Kim stated, looking around the table. “Where's Garroth? I called him down for dinner fifteen minutes ago.” “He probably wasn't hungry for eggs…” Aphmau mumbled, continuing to poke at her eggs, looking at them with a look of disgust. “He'll be fine Kim.” Aaron assured. ”I would take that if it weren't for the fact that he missed breakfast today and yesterday!” Kim argued. “So what? If he is missing meals that's his problem.” Zane replied snarkily, lowering his mask to eat. “Still, he's been acting a bit strange lately…” Kim said in concern. “When is he not acting weird? He's Garroth, only Irene knows what's going on in that brain of his. If he even has one anyway.”
Kim shot Zane a look before looking to Aphmau, who she also gave a look.
“I'm sure he's fine, Kim.” Aphmau assured, looking away nervously. “Right.” Kim muttered, returning to her meal. “So for the next week we really don't have anything to do, do we?” Lucinda thought aloud. “Nope.” Aaron answered. “Nothing at all?” Lucinda implored, in a small sense of desperation. “No, we're going to be here bored out of our minds for the next few days.” Aaron sighed, getting up from the table and taking his plate to the sink. “Well, there's always the library!” Kim reminded optimistically. “Yeahhh…that..too...i guess....” Lucinda uttered. She hated that library, ever since they opened the entrance to the cave she hasn't had a moments peace. “I guess all of this should be a reminder that I should never let Aphmau convince me to go anywhere ever again.” Zane remarked. “Hey!” Aphmau glared at Zane. “By the way, are you ever going to eat those eggs?” Aaron asked. “Blehhh…..” Aphmau responded, looking back to her eggs. They were stone cold now. “You can't just waste the eggs Aph!” Aaron scolded her. “But they're so groooossss.” Aphmau whined, pushing her plate in front of her. “Aphmau!” “Man I wish I could just have beans. I eat beans for dinner, lunch and breakfast.” Aphmau muttered sadly.
Everyone stared at Aphmau silently.
“You...you eat beans for breakfast?” Kim asked quietly.
Aphmau sat quietly for a moment.
“.....You don't?” Aphmau quietly replied in confusion. “Oh boy here we go…” Aaron mumbled. “WHO EATS BEANS FOR BREAKFAST?!” Zane shouted in a mixture of anger and shock. “MEXICANS?” Aphmau retorted in confusion. “WHY?!” Lucinda yelled, she didn't find it as confusing as everyone else did but she found the distress it caused everyone that Aphmau could and would eat beans for breakfast hilarious. “UM BECAUSE THEY'RE GOOD? WRAP 'EM IN A TORTILLA AND IT'S THE BEST THING?” Aphmau argued. “WH-WHY?!” Kim laughed, taking off her glasses. “It's just how it be Kim.” Aphmau added, putting her last word in, and eating a forkful of eggs. “OH SHIT THAT WAS HORRIBLE WHY DID I JUST EAT THAT.” Aphmau yelled, spitting cold egg out everywhere. “Cover your mouth!” Kim scolded Aphmau, backing away from the spray of egg. “Sorry, sorry.” Aphmau could barely mutter, choking on bits of egg. “Anyways, I guess we should wrap up breakfast now.” Aaron announced. “Wrap it up in a tortilla and into the trash…” Aphmau mumbled.
Everyone cleaned up and went their separate ways. Lucinda had went into her room to relax, but she heard a knock at her door.
“The doors unlocked.” Lucinda said aloud, turning to the door. “Hey Lucinda, can I talk to you for a minute?” Kim asked, walking inside. “What's up?” Lucinda asked her casually. “I'm good, I'm good. How about you?” Kim replied. “I've been better, just haven't been getting any good sleep lately.” Lucinda explained. “Ah I see….well um, I wanted to ask you something…” Kim stated nervously. “Oh? What is it?” Lucinda questioned, plopping onto her bed. “Do you...know if anything has happened with Garroth recently?” Kim mumbled, fidgeting with her fingers. “Nothing that I know of, why do you ask?” Lucinda asked curiously. “It's just that...um, nevermind it's nothing. Sorry I bothered you.” Kim muttered, quickly turning heel to leave the room. “Kim wait!” Lucinda grabbed Kim's hand before she could leave the room. “What's wrong? Did you guys get into an argument or something?” “No, no, it's not that at all…” “Then what is it?” “It's just that...I don't know, Garroth was acting kinda strange this morning…” “Strange how..?” “Well he was just kinda...not like himself? He was...being kinda rude and standoffish.” “Is that so? It's nothing to worry about Kim. I'm pretty sure he was just a little grouchy because he was tired, everyone here is seeming to have sleeping problems. Besides it's Garroth, you don't have to worry at all.” Lucinda assured her freckled friend. “Why do you guys always say that?” Kim claimed in annoyance. “Huh?” Lucinda uttered in confusion. “Everytime I voice a concern about Garroth, you guys just shrug it off as him being him! Why?” Kim pressed. “Listen Kim, for as long as I've known the guy, nothing has ever made the guy upset. I've seen people do some pretty crappy things to him and he always shrugged it off.” Lucinda defended. “How do you know those things never made him upset? Did you ever ask him if he was upset?” Kim implored. “I-I mean, I never did ask him, but he never looked upset when those things happened.” Lucinda explained. “So that's it? Garroth can't get upset because you've never seen him get upset? Because none of you guys ever bothered to ask if he was okay?!” Kim raised her voice slightly in anger.
Lucinda had nothing to say, she just looked down. There was an awkward pause between the two of them.
“I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to raise my voice…” Kim apologized, looking down sheepishly. “It's okay...I..kinda deserved that. To be honest, just generally assuming Garroth was okay all the time kinda became a habit…” Lucinda admitted, looking back to Kim. “A habit…?” Kim raised an eyebrow. “Well, I became friends with Garroth through Aphmau way back during high school. At some point in high school….you remember The Jury, don't you?” Lucinda elaborated. “Ugh how could I not? That was the worst year of high school ever.” Kim groaned, the memory alone was enough to invoke a feeling of disgust in Kim. “Well, remember how it took Garroth, Laurance and Aphmau to put a stop to Zane's tyranny once and for all?” “Yeah, which was really weird because at the time Garroth was part of the Jury and Laurance had rejoined the Shadow Knight's, so seeing a shadow knight join forces with the alpha female of the werewolf class and Garroth betray his own gang was realllllyyy crazy.” “Well Garroth took the fall for what Zane did back then, we tried talking him out of it but he insisted it would be easier if he admitted to everything. Despite all the manipulation and lies...he still really loved his brother y'know? Garroth's always been a really family oriented guy…. anyway, it goes without saying that he got a lot of heat from his parents. He ended up having to spend his last semester of school at a military school.” “Sheesh, a military school? I know a lot of what Zane did was bad, but….that bad?” “Trust me, there was a crap ton worse shit Zane did behind the scenes.” “Damn…” “But that was back then, Zane is...better, to say the least, not great, but better. Anyways, even after all that happened he seemed to be not bothered at all! He seemed at ease with his decision. I asked Aphmau if she knew if he was okay or not, and she always said that he was fine, y'know it's Garroth, right? I never asked him myself because...well it wasn’t exactly a pleasant time to remember. So… y'know after a long time of that, it just kinda became habitual after a while I guess. But now that you point it out...it is kinda...not the right way to deal with those things…” “Yeahhh, it really isn't.” Kim replied. “Anyways erm, I guess we could always ask him if something's wrong then? Like, why aren't we doing that right now.” Lucinda commented, rubbing her neck. “I would, but he's been locked in his room a day, and has pretty clearly been pretty adamant about staying in there. If he doesn't want to be around people right now I don't imagine we could hold a long enough conversation with him about it.” Kim explained. “Ah true...well let's just wait until he's feeling a bit better and we'll see him together then!” Lucinda suggested. “Sure!” Kim agreed, beginning to leave the room. “By the way, Kim.” Lucinda said after her. “Yeah?” Kim turned back to respond. “That book of his...do you know what kind of book it is?” Lucinda asked. “Nope, he won't even let me touch it let alone peak at it! I understand loving books but come on! Though he was less possessive of it when he first got the book, so that's kinda weird.” Kim explained. “Yeah...anyways, I'm glad we had this talk!” Lucinda nodded. “So am I! See ya later!” Kim said to Lucinda as she left the room. “Hmm…” Lucinda laid down on her bed as she thought to herself. “I wonder….”
Aaron was lying down in his bed in his room, for there was nothing else to do.
“In less than a week all of us can finally leave this place.” Aaron sighed, staring at the ceiling. “All of this...all of this was just meant to be a get away, to get some time away from Aph and be left alone with my thoughts. Looks like I couldn't even have that. Just….a couple more days Aaron, you can pull through…” Just then, Aaron heard a knock at his door. “Come in!” Aaron shouted to the door.
Zane came in and closed the door behind him.
“Hey Aaron, I just wanted to come in and see how you're doing.” Zane explained, walking to Aaron. “I've been better I guess.” Aaron responded glumly. “I see... what are you gonna do when we leave this shitty lodge?” Zane asked, curious about Aaron's plans. “I don't know, I'm homesick but also not homesick. I kinda miss home but with everyone here it also feels like I never even left. I don't know if I wanna go somewhere else, I've already been here for half a month, but I haven't been able to gather my thoughts about my relationship with Aph this entire time and...and we share a house together, I can't just go back either. I just...I just don't know what to do….I don't know what I want…” “Sounds tough. I'd suggest going with your parents but knowing them and they're company and all….” Zane trailed off. “Yeah.” Aaron replied. “Could you possibly go with your sister, Melissa?” “No, she's too busy working for my families company.” “Damn... you're really stuck in a corner aren't you.” “Yeah... I'm sure I'll figure something out.” Aaron sighed, putting his hands over his face. “You always do.” Zane assured him, in a surprisingly positive tone. “Anyways, how have you been?” Aaron asked “Eh, nothing different from back home. I'm still constantly irritated and annoyed by everyone and I hang around with Aphmau most of the time.” Zane explained. “Ah, also do you know how Garroth’s doing right now? I haven’t seen him all day.” “Hm.” Zane grunted, looking away. “I see…” “I'll get going now, I just wanted to see if you were doing well.” Zane said, proceeding to leave the room. “See ya.” Aaron replied, seeing Zane out. “Just….a few more days, can't be too bad right?”
