scar headcanons <3

(hihi! below are certain descriptions or themes that can be a bit unsettling- including self harm, burn injuries and such- thanks yuuu <3)

Aaron:

aaron has many scars, including one under his eye, a few self harm marks, and many scratches on his fingers from him flicking his lighter, since he did it to the point of cuts. he has a few scattered scars and such around his body, since he used to get into many, many fights- resulting in injury.

Katelyn:

many from her childhood since she played rough, and she gets into quite a few fights, resulting in injury. when katelyn punched ein, and got scratched by daniel, the lines remained on her face, just by her chin. has a scar from where she got her appendix removed.

Blaze:

blaze has a scar right over his nose, from when he went to juvie. he also has one right by his mouth, where he nicked himself shaving- he doesn’t shave anymore. he has two large scars on his back, similar to angel wings. he has a bunch on his arms, legs, and chest- just from fighting, playing around and being stupid.

Aphmau:

aphmau has two large scars on her back when she got cut by glass that a werewolf broke. has a scar on her hand, where dottie’s nails had cut her when she was holding her hand during a panic attack.

Gene:

many scars on his arms due to a suicide attempt, as well as a few smaller self harm scars. has one by his lip where dante’s flying drone had flown into his face. also has one on his left calf where a garbage truck cut him by accident.

Zenix:

has a few scars on his knuckles and hands from punching walls out of anger, and has cigarette burns on his hands, which he would do for the adrenaline. has a piece of his ear missing from a bird biting him.

Sasha:

self harm marks on her thighs, and has a few small scars on her arms from zenix digging his nails into her when he held onto her during a movie. has a scar on her neck, where she tried to carve something into her for funsies. (real life experience.))

Michi:

michi has scratch scars on her wrists, from where michi scratched herself when she had her schizophrenic episodes. he also has a piece of her ear missing from a kid biting her ear when she was younger.

Zane:

many self harm scars all over his arms and legs. he also has a large one on his neck, from vylad accidentally cutting him with his toy sword when they were little. has a lot of self inflicted scars on his jaw and cheeks, to look badass for genes gang.

Rylan:

scar on his eyebrow from a human cutting him with a knife because he growled at him. has an appendix scar, as well as a scar from where he got his tonsils out. a few scars on his body from where window glass cut him.

Laurence:

has a lot of scars on his legs from when he played soccer, and has a scar on his shoulder, where he had to have shoulder. a scar on his septum- and he has had his earrings ripped out, so it’s that kinda scar.

Melissa:

used to get into tons of fights, and got a few injuries from those. a few scratch scars where she would bury her nails into her arms while she had stress induced panic attacks. has a scar where she got her uterus removed.

Eric:

scars everywhere since he was a wrestler, and has his tonsils out. has had his nose surgically fixed many times, and has had many surgeries on his arms. had a vasectomy.

Sylvanna:

got into a shit ton of fights, has a few scars from that- and she has her earrings ripped out. has a c-section scar, and has a very large scar from her ankle to her thigh from a drunken accident.

Zianna:

used to get into a shit ton of fights, has a few scars from when garte threw a vase at her. and she has had her knuckles busted open from when she beat the hell outta garte. also has a scar on her eyebrow where a skateboard stunt went wrong.

Ein:

has a few scattered scars all over his face, a few self harm scars on his wrists. a gallbladder scar, and he has a massive scar on his stomach, when he needed a very big surgery.

Balto:

a scar on his back, a few scars from where he would butn himself, and a bunch of knicks on his face from where he tried to shave with a knife, like a dumbass.

hc that growing up, garroth developed a phobia of potion bottles, because of the experimenting, a phobia which was seen as really weird by the people around him and garte reassured them that it was 'some silly irrational fear'; not even garroth knew why he was so afraid of them (the memory wiping)…but every time he saw one his hands started shaking and his heartbeat quickened and he started to get a headache-now after WAF he knows why.

Ro’Meave Headcanons/Lore

Heads up, this post talks about the semantics on royal lineages and some of the unsavory aspects thereof (nothing horrifying or explicit, just talk about how lineages were ensured). I made the lore a lot more palatable than most historical royal marriage tradition, but if it’s not your thing don’t force yourself to read. I’m mainly posting this to explain the Ro’Meave family tree I’m going to post after this. 

The Ro’Meaves only got more conservative about marriage within the last 5-6 generations of Garroth being born. Most of these headcanons I talk about here will be discussing the way things were before that (save for the next one, it applies to all)

For the Ro’Meaves (and by extension the Von Ronsenburgs), it was actually preferable for a girl/afab to be born and to become Lord (though the second wasn’t as important as the first) because it was much easier to ensure that the child was of royal blood.

In fact, royal women were not typically expected to marry, as they didn’t believe that Ro’Meave blood diluted (seeing as all descendants of Esmund are able to possess his relic) and they didn’t have to prove that a child was theirs

However, Ro’Meave men had to marry if they wanted their children to be officially legitimate.

Even if the kid was the spitting image of their Pops, legally they had no claim to the throne since TECHNICALLY they could never be sure it was actually his

It was possible to be granted exceptions, but that was EXTREMELY rare

Also, men were expected to marry women of high class, whereas with afab Ro’Meaves the father really didn’t matter

ALSO also the ‘high-class’ women had a pretty broad range, pretty much any woman who was either born into a noble/rich family or a woman who held a high-ranking profession/role (i.e, chief scholar of the royal archive, commander of the O’Khasian naval fleet, well established diplomat, etc.)

There was a whole process that revolved around ensuring that the child was definitely for-sure a Ro’Meave, which involved their fiancée to have their spouse or at least one attendant/guard be with them at all times beginning from their engagement until they were confirmed pregnant to ensure there was no funny-business

However this really only happened for their first and maybe second child, and only if there was no heir already in place.

Lords (given that they had siblings) essentially had first dibs on who they got to marry. If they were straight and/or married someone they were capable of reproducing with, then they were the ones charged with continuing the family line. If they married someone they couldn’t have children with, then the duty would fall to one of their siblings (usually a girl, but there was never an official designation; it just had to be someone)

Basically, as long as at least one Ro’Meave was having legitimate kids, the rest could pretty much do whatever they wanted.

Adding to that, it was heavily advocated that out of the royal children, only one or two of them should have biological children. Seeing as Ro’Meave blood didn’t dilute, they really didn’t want to have a million eligible heirs running around.

Though, men typically got away with having more kids, since their heirs were only considered legit if they were with a wife.

They had access to a variety of herbal ceptives, though, so lucky for them they didn’t have to stay celibate (hooray for magick plan-b)

Also, they could adopt as many kids as they wanted, they just wouldn’t have any claim to the throne.

The Ro’Meave lineage was single handedly saved by a trans person on at least two separate occasions 

There was practically zero inbreeding, except for one occasion*, because it was well known that it would lead to birth defects and higher infant mortality.

There was even a law, known as the 7th Generation Clause, which basically said that a Ro’Meave would not marry into the same family twice until 7 generations had passed between the first marriage.

There’s an old Ro’Meave superstition that you should never name your child after yourself, as almost every child who had been in the past had died before the age of 10.

It was only like 4 or 5 but the legend stuck around.

Morbid Headcanons.

number one: (drug addiction and violence) balto has a pain pill addiction due to breaking his back in military school, and he gets addicted to them around his senior year of highschool. he doesn’t think much of it, until he injures his friend, and sends them to the hospital. this was a wake up call, and he went to a rehabilitation program.

number two: (sexual topics and child exposure) daniel is very cautious when it comes to sexual activity and encounters, since he was exposed to p*rn*graphy at a young age. this is related to a close story of mine, just to clarify. he often uses this soft mental state to cope with the fact that a lot of his earlier childhood memories are sometimes riddled with memories of the XXX tapes. like a more secretive way to age regress, and kind of feel calmer to a point.

number three: (child abuse and favoritism) further in life, garte ends up being an alcoholic and verbally and physically abused both vylad and zane. he would be pressuring garroth, but because of how garroth stood out, he was nervous that he would be caught as an abuser if garroth came out, since he would most likely be believed.

number four: (anger issues, abuse and discrimination) katelyn has severe, untreated anger issues, that harm both her and the people around her. she punches things, which injure her hands, and she kicks things, which caused her to permanently damage her foot. she also sometimes hurts people, such as travis, dante, and kawaii~chan. she’s also kind of ‘speciest’ towards werewolves, and would do many things offensive- (barking, saying ‘furry’ out loud, which i believe is the equivalent to a slur in aphs universe.)

number five: (stalking and implied assault) ein is incredibly stalker-ish. and he develops his whole personality around other people. he’s incredibly touchy, and back in his earlier days he wouldn’t take no for an answer. ever. this caused him to be outcasted. this kind of goes hand in hand with the idea that dottie, rylan, and daniel are also a bit clingy, and almost unaware of personal space and they are friends. (though in my au werewolves are very touchy, just in general.)

number six: (grooming and satanic themes) zenix. zenix was most likely in a way groomed by gene. in my au, gene was 18, and zenix was 14 when they met, and zenix was extremely religious, and was afraid of drugs and alcohol. gene came along and wanted a posse, a defense- and so zenix was one of who he chose, and he coerced him into a more satanic way of life and encouraged him to do substances, to be ‘cool’. (let it be known i have no problem with any religion, and everyone should be accepted <3)

number seven: (toxic relationships) in my au, ivan is transgender. his family was very against this, and were very horrible people. ivan then adopted a more stoic, masculine edge and personality, wanting to be threatening, and wanting people to fear him, respect him. he tried to be too controlling over lucinda, wanting to make her a kind of stay at home ‘lady’. and was very screamy when she was against it. ivan is a virgin, and very pissy about it.

number eight: (this one involves wounds and some limited gore) when aaron was very young, and because he was the ultima- he would have random bursts of anger, and aggression. and he would sometimes kill animals and tear them open, for the smell of blood, because he was unable to control himself. this caused him a great deal of pain, and caused him to be more desensitized to death later in life.

number nine: (desperation, homelessness and possessiveness) ein, jax and ryder are very possessive of one another, since ein took them in when ryder got kicked out for his behavior, and jax ran away from home. they are very toxic towards one another, and cannot be away from each other long, as it causes them distress.

number ten: (drug usage, juvie, and violence + gore) blaze was framed when someone put marijuana in his bag, causing him to go to juvie. while in there, not only did he end up actually smoking weed, he also got addicted to cigarettes. also while in prison is where he got the scar across his nose, where a kid ended up slicing his face over a pack of cigars. blaze is very shaky when in dangerous situations, since he has witnessed many injuries happen in juvie.
