Wy: You can not just ask something like that Sealand!
Molossia: *Explains the reason why*

Those two strange “Joker” fellows showing up in mirror reflections are only making things more confusing, same for the soul of that mysterious sorcerer from centuries ago.
Which set of Royals are they each supposed to work with? Why are the Aces the only ones to remain in the same Suits? How can they set things straight again, and what is the cost to pay if they do so?

I think most of the infamous aph fics (that I know) are already mentioned in your notes. For Auf Wiedersehen Sweetheart, it's mostly infamous due to how /famous/ it is in the fandom if that makes sense. Lots of fic writers get their stuff compared to DeValier's fics cuz of how many people loved Auf Wiedersehen, which made a bunch of people hate it even if they've never read it. (I've never read it, it doesn't sound interesting to me, so I have no opinion.)
Gutters I mostly hear is really sad. Post apocalypse, I think, but I don't care for the Nordics or Sealand much, so I never bothered reading that one either.
Danish Slaughterhouse sounds like guro from what I've heard explained to me, but again, I never cared for the Nordics much, so I never read it.
Acceleration Waltz is another big fic, at least among ger/ame shippers, and IIRC, the author came back and wrote for it again during lockdown in 2020, so I think it's finished now?? It's post WWII and is a human AU. I haven't read it in years, though, so I don't remember a lot of details.
There's a few versions of the Recession Gang-bang trope, so I'd go with the rec in the replies of that post, and while it's not as infamous as some of the others, I've seen Seven Little Killers mentioned here and there. It's a thriller-ish type story, where there's 7 killers, and the Axis trio are the detectives.
Also not as infamous as the others, or at least I don't see them mentioned as much is Book of the Tentacles. It's mainly noncon smut via a tentacle monster, and last I read it, it had almost 70,000 hits I think.
I think The Empty Cradle (ameripan) might count too. I think someone even read it out loud for a stream a while back.
Maybe someday I'll read gutters and auf wiefershen i just can't find the motivation to do so.
I have no desire to read danish slaughterhouse although I've probably read worse
I haven't read Acceleration Waltz but i have read other works by that author. Their sims 4 version of Zachem ya is hilarious. I need them to finish War anthem because it stopped right as Tolys was like alright plan A didn't work, time for plan B *unzips pants*
I've read book of the tentacles i just looked it's the fifth in most read (Excluding Crossovers) on AO3 i always tell my self that no matter what my fics will never get as much fame as tentacle porn and i can live with that.
Seven little killers has it's own tv tropes page as well link here. I skimmed through the document i downloaded it seems pretty typical of fanfiction of that era.
I think i haven't read the majority of these solely because i don't usually read fics outside of my main characters i focus on.
I can't remember if I've read the financial crisis gangbang or not
Now I'm curious about your guy's thoughts on this list of fics that have their own tv tropes page
I've read like three of these on the list.
Maybe in ten years one of my shitty fics will be viewed as fanfic from the days of yore.

Think: ladonia wanting a bb gun for Christmas. Finland is 100% on board and Sealand is just elated because the kid loves guns. Everything would think finland would've the worry wart but no its Sweden. The "He'll shoot his eye out!" Thing comes up unironically. Hes just so worried it makes him sick.
Finland is just "it will be good for him! Put some hair on his chest"
Sealand is all gun safety classes and "OK what nation hasn't accidentally shot themselves at the very least twice"
Sweden is very very scared and adding another padlock on finlands gun safe

I’ve decided Sealand is the biological son of England in this AU, since it’s been established that nations can have biological parents (see: Germania and Britannia), and it doesn’t make too much sense for Sealand to be a UK sibling if he was born when Britannia is… y’know… extremely dead.
Everyone thinks he’s a UK sibling at first, but there’s a couple scenes where the UK siblings and England’s “kids” meet the nation-ghost of Britannia, and she’s like “where are the other grandkids”
“The what”
“Don’t tell me you forgot about Sealand and Wy AGAIN, ARTHUR KIRKLAND IK I DIDNT RAISE U AT ALL BUT I DID NOT RAISE U LIKE THIS”
So as it turns out, the sixth sense nations have for sensing other nations that can canonically sense if they’re related or not, everyone thought it was just for siblings but it can be for any kind of blood relative
So England is told that Sealand is his actual biological son and he has a mini freak-out but realizes that even tho he’s come a long way w other nations, that he still puts micronations on the back burner, and since Sealand is his son, he feels a lot more responsibility for him now, so he takes Sealand (and Wy, who’s Aussie’s kid) to meet Britannia too, and England really steps up to help care for Sealand even tho he lives w the Nordics now and maybe at some point there’s a custody schedule?? Idk
He also takes his bf (*cough* France) to meet his mother which is very sweet because she recognizes him right away as Gaul’s boy

She remembers the papers.
The bruising grip around her wrists. How they held onto her so tight. Screams and shouts, thrown out into the night. Explosions from planes were a sickening sweet light show. Another report to be arranged. Another family letter to be delivered.
This was what she was created for, was it not? Built for defense in the war to keep enemies away. Watching for bodies to drop with each round. Bloodshed was given and received on both parties. More letters demanded to be written.
Her touches were never warm. Always cold like the steel that supports the fortress. Trained to take orders and not ask questions. If failure to do so came the scolding. Afterward, her hands burned with pain. Red marks dashing across her skin in a straight line. Even as it became numb the lines remained hypersensitive to touch. Papers at her desk anticipated her arrival.
When the war ended, the grip disappeared. What was left behind was a disturbing floral color around her wrists. She was exhausted. Eager to curl up and rest. Yet the friendly smile and welcoming arms from the person /sister/ who she looked up to most made it worth staying up. To hear the praise and to finally feel... cherished. The stack of documents could wait tomorrow.
Britain would not be coming back. Maybe she has always known that. Was the last hug a goodbye? Makes a lot more sense. And somehow, she didn't wish to believe that. So, she grabbed a sheet a paper and a box of crayons and started to draw.
Abandoned.
But people came by. And she grew. Not that much in height of course, but as a /micro/nation. She learned the kindness of strangers, who soon became her people. They had their ups and downs. Nothing was perfect at first, but they were starting to get there. They've overcome many challenges and she's proud of them. She grabbed the small square paper next to her and began to scrawl.
At times she has wondered if she was only doing this for attention. Look at me, look at me! Her actions would demand. Why won't you look at me? She sometimes wondered if she was enough. Getting turned away each time - she just wanted to be noticed. Wanted to be accepted. Acknowledged. Always striving for England's attention. She /England/ technically created her after all. She smiled tiredly. Reaching over to the bedside table, she grabbed a pen and paper.
Dear England,
I wonder if you get my letters. Do you read them? Do you throw them away? I remember all of them. The letters, the documents, records, everything. Everything on paper that I've sent to you. You never send anything back. Will you respond? Anyways! Do you want to hear about my day?? Ma and Miss Finland took Ladonia and I to the zoo...

MARY AND THE MICRONATIONS
Characters: Mary, Sealand, Seborga, Wy, Ladonia, Hutt River, Molossia, Kugelmugel, Germany, England
Word Count: 4693
Complete
G Rated
Summary:  It happened to be one of those days where all of the countries of the world had a world meeting. Mary, however, wanted to see what a real world meeting was like. Unfortunately, not being allowed in the world meeting made her eventually throw a tantrum and make her cry. Hearing her cries, a familiar friend, Sealand, invites Mary to join another world meeting that she had no idea even was happening in the first place!
This was a highly requested thing to write, and finally had a good idea of how I should write Mary interacting with the micronations!

Okay, here's another idea:
I'm a Fillmore Graves soldier, and after I come home from training, I find a letter for me. In it, an anonymous person writes that Denmark will do all the horrible things to the Nordics and Sealand that happened in Danish Slaughterhouse, but doesn't say how they know. I am horrified but don't believe this until I visit Denmark one day and find a piece of paper in his room, talking a great deal about how Iceland is the fastest of the Nordics, which is then I start to believe the note. Yet I still don't want to cause a ruckus, so I hire one of the Fillmore Graves cadets (probably Fisher) to.....watch over Sealand- monitor where he goes, what he does, who he's with, who he talks to, what those interactions are like, from the time the Micronation wakes up to the time he goes to bed, and report back to me, and to also keep an extra close eye on any interactions he has with Denmark, to make sure nothing happens, and to immediately take action if Denmark hurts Sealand. Then, just to be safe, I hire a private investigator to watch over Iceland in the same way. Then I overthink it and soon a whole bunch of p.i.s are stalking the Nordics, watching their every move, and so on. This continues until Denmark catches one of the p.i.s and confronts him about it, to which he tells the Dane everything. Then Denmark tracks down and confronts me about it as I'm at the zombie guillotine. I try to deny it at first, but then, after his yelling nearly has me in tears, I admit it and confront him about the letter and what I found (neither of which I have on me), and we're going back and forth until I tell him I don't want to see him near Sealand or Iceland until I feel I can trust him, and he shoves me out of anger and my head lands on the platform and he goes to kick my hip but ends up kicking the lever for the guillotine instead, bringing it down on my head and killing me. Denmark is in shock and panics and decides to hide my body in a park while forging a note saying I was Renegade and I fled to avoid getting caught. It works until his guilt consumes him, between watching Chase carry out the search for me and watching Iceland get depressed because he thinks his girlfriend abandoned him, and he finally snaps and confronts Chase in his office. He confesses what he did and drags Chase out to where he buried my body before trying to shoot himself but Major subdues him and they take him back to the HQ and lock him up under surveillance. Chase goes forward with the truth and Denmark gets frozen.

How to use 'mate'
A guide by Wy
G'day there, mates. How's everyone going? Good? Ripper*.
I'm here to tell you that 'mate' has many different meanings in Australia depending on the context and emphasis.
It can be friendly, condescending, consoling, sarcastic, angry, and heaps of other things too. It's a word that most people use without knowing... and some don't use it at all.
When I first meet someone, if I don't remember their name, I generally call them mate. This happened the first few times I talked with Canada.
Canada: Hello, I'm Canada.
Wy: Nice to meet ya. I'm Wy.
We had a lovely conversation, but for the life of me, I couldn't remember his name. So when I had to go, I said...
Canada: It was lovely talking with you, Wy.
Wy: You too, mate. Bye!
See? That way I wasn't rude and we parted amicably.
I'll let you in on a secret, sometimes I forget my friends' names! It's good to use 'mate' then too. It's also good if you can't be bothered to say their long-arse name.
Australia: /probably saying something important/
Wy: Oi, mate. Where's the dunny**?
Australia: Just hang a left at the end of the end of the hall and it's the third door on the right.
Wy: Cheers, mate.
Australia: Nah wackas.
'Mate' is also used quite often for consoling, and just letting someone know that you're there... just like whenever I have to comfort Sealand after he talks to England.
Wy: It's alright, mate. You, me, we'll all be real countries someday.
Then there's when you're talking about your friends.
Germany: Why, Wy?
Wy: Me mates and I thought it was a good idea...
However, a lot of the time it's not used in a nice way.
For example, when someone told me I was a waste of space, Australia stood up to them.
Australia (in a normal voice and demon eyes): Haha, good one, mate. Here's another idea. How about you rightly f*ck off?
Mate can be used dismissively
USA: But it'll work this time!
Australia: Whatever you say, mate.
It means "pull your head in before I or someone else does it for you"
Random citizen: *insults New Zealand with Australia in earshot*
Wy: Mate, come on.
Hutt River: Mate.
Or it can be used as a warning. (In this instance it means "RUN!")
Sealand: ... and that's why my art is better than yours.
Wy: ...
Hutt River: Mate.
Just remember, mate isn't a mere word. It's an art; it's a way of life.
Good luck, mate!
* awesome/wicked/cool
** toilet/bathroom
