Sorry I haven't posting much. Was dealing school, exams, life, etc.

Anyway, here's my first drawing of 2024! Fanart of a fic called String of Time (Found on Ao3) and written by @winterwrites23. Highly recommend!!!!

Wasn't too sure about reuploading old OC stuff but I'm really proud of this, and it took months to complete so here.

This was made before Ire/NI became canon, so these are my (now retired) OCs.

The other characters are the 32 counties of Ireland, plus Belfast, Tory Island, the Aran Islands, the Saltee Islands, Inishowen and the Irish Travellers, or Mincéirí, a nomadic, indigenous ethnic minority.

I think my friends tend to forget that my Sophie lass is not a Human OC, but was originally conceptualized as Northern Ireland. And I think as I have been writing IP again, I actually inadvertently slip more and more into an overlap between her Hetaverse Nation counterpart and the LFLS AU character.

Not only is she plagued by always only ever being seen like an extension of her brother, unable to escape his shadow and be her own person (either because people expect her to be like him or see her only through the lense of the relationship they have with her brother), but godfuckingdamnit, is she ANGRY. And don't tell me an Northern Ireland that you don't believe to be Ulster (I don't) wouldn't be ANGRY. Whether you believe them to be born at the time of the Plantation in the 1600s or at the time of Partition in 1921, they're born out of violence and conflict. Search for the Steelboys and the Oakboys, not to mention the Defenders if you want something Catholic. Belfast was a hotbed of protest and dissent to the British government, for various different reasons throughout the centuries.

In LFLS, Soph is 17 and lonely and so fucking angry underneath all the hopelessness. Angry at how her family burdened her with this bullshit, angry that it is her cross to bear to worry for them, angry that she has no fucking agency. Angry to always be the little sister, the little O'Connel, never her own person because the entire past looms so large over her future. She was born into violence and no one ever let her have her own hand in it.

Some notes:

- Arthur (England) x Marianne (Nyo!France)

- Connor (Northern Ireland) x Agathe (Monaco). Imagine a guy who talks a lot, gossips, doesn't like trouble, just likes to settle down, is indecisive, paired with a classy girl, calm outside, inside always thinking all kinds of evil plans.

Agathe is a girl boss, she looks small outside, but when she comes home, two rows of subordinates have to bow to her.

Like, the female boss of the gang, next to her is a red-haired bodyguard who likes to settle down, doesn't like getting into trouble (but he's good at shooting)

- Dylan (Wales) x Ivy (His Dragon)

Ivy is the dragon that sleeps on Dylan's shoulder. I have headcanon that the dragon can turn into a girl, she is Ivy. No one can see Ivy but Dylan, so Dylan is often seen as paranoid.

- About Scotland, I set up Scot as Asexual, single for life, whether Allistor (male ver) or Abigail (fem ver).

The reason is because Scot's mascot is unicorn, and unicorn is only close to virgins, who live a chaste life. So when I write fanfic, I will set Allistor simple-minded, not interested in love, inside with Peter Pan syndrome (Peter Pan is also a book from Scotland) but does not show that syndrome outside. It was because of his straight, unblemished mind that the unicorn became close to him. As for Abigail (Nyo!Scotland), I think she will be a virgin for life, regardless of marriage, and unicorns will often come and sleep in Abigail's lap without any defense 😉

The reason why the 4 brothers’ outfit is different: is due to the aspect of each person's job. Allistor is a mechanic, Dylan is a forest ranger (imagine that innocent face fighting with forest destroyers), Connor is an office worker, Arthur is an IT, but because Marianne takes care of him, his fashion is the best of the UK Brothers.

I've had too much time at my hands, so I redownloaded CMAPS and made a relationship diagram for my Rake Courtship AU, which is set in a of yet undecided place in Europe, roughly somewhere between the 1790s and the 1830s. Anyone who has a better idea about how nobility and class relationships worked during this time can feel free to slide into my dms/asks and scream at me about the flaws. Always open to learn and improve! (Also, oh my god, anyone who could help me with what Charlie could do, because I got fuckall idea)

Key first: - Blue boxes are hws characters; that includes my Sicily (Michele), Ireland (Harry) and Northern Ireland (Sophie) OCs. White boxes are Human OCs of mine. - Green is familial relationships/extremely close friendships - Red is for political relationships - Blue is for friendships/work/social role relationships - Pink is for romantic relationships

The basic prompt for this AU is: After Harry and Michele have been courting each other for a year, fruitlessly trying to get engaged against the will of Michele's father Salvatore, Salvatore suddenly engages his son to the one of the Count of Fernando, Antonio. Rosario, who is politically connected to Fernando and related to Salvatore, takes pity on Antonio and Michele for how heartless their fathers are and asks his eldest son Lovino to keep them company. Meanwhile, Harry does not give up so easily on his beloved ...

Anyways. I spent so much time and energy on brainstorming this AU and talking about it, so I thought I'd put something out there that would give people a jumping off point to join me in the worldbuilding and daydreaming. Thank you for your attention.
