I read in one of your posts that Feliciano was more of the manipulative type. Can you elaborate more on that? And maybe more Italy (any of them or all of them) hcs?
I’m not quite sure if I hot the nail on the head for you luv, but…
Some Theories:
Veneziano:
Out of all three brothers, Feliciano is the strongest diplomat. He’s very adept at reading others’ intentions, and he has made an art of adjusting his personality to fit whatever needs he may need to meet. Feli will play any role necessary for his motives- usually protection for himself and his brothers. He’s the one who seems most approachable, and he uses this confidence to his advantage. Never a nefarious bone in his body, but the scars on his legs remind him that it’s good to have powerful people in your pocket, and to never show your hand too early.
Romano:
Lovino is the passionate idealist, though these days there are so many battles that he doesn’t have one specific thing to fight for. He’s the most cynical of the siblings, all too familiar with how the Others have used the boys to their own ends. He never could full support Feli’s act of naivety, at least not until he had a chance to see the sanguine and docile expression fade in a meeting once, the charade falling away and the true power of Venezia echoing in the younger’s words; Lovino never doubted his brother’s political prowess again. As it stands, Lovino is the one who reads over every treaty, every contract. He helped Nonno with his work in Byzantium, and Toni’s privateering taught him the power of loopholes. All decisions come back to him, everything critically analyzed with that pessimism that has kept him alive for nearly two millenia.
Seborga:
Marcello, while technically on his own now, still is wholeheartedly invested with his big brothers. He’s centuries younger than both of them however, so there sometimes can be a strong disconnect. But that disconnect gave him the chance to get to know the people better, learn what the citizens fear, desire, dread, hope. Lovino and Feli will go to their meetings, play their roles of frustrated detachment and oblivious detachment respectively, and Marcello spends the day wandering the city where the meeting is being held. Donning another name, with reference to some popular blog or other, he gathers the true thoughts of the people being affected by the talks inside. He finds experts, locals, travelers, activists, elders. All he gathers makes its way back to the designated room, details he can share with his brothers, comparing notes, concerns, and hopes, all before they decide on their next course of action.
General Headcanons:
They literally do not stop talking when in a room together.
They usually have five conversations happening at the same time. Last night’s alternated between exorcising whatever a Momo is, how much work it would take to build a series of tunnels between each of their houses, which dog breeds are better, the redundancy of Enochian, and the exact shade of green in Arthur’s eyes.
Seriously, they are so loud and barely stop to breathe. You either sink or learn how to swim along.
Feli designed the cover art for Marcello’s first album.
Despite their age, Lovino and Marcello love playing Manhunt, and they are terrifyingly good at it. Marcello will climb, crawl, bend into any hiding spot, and Lovino is absolutely silent whilst on the hunt.
Lovino and Feliciano mastered their own dialect back in 1602. They love to tease Marcello because he doesn’t know most of the words.
These three are an undisputed team, and everyone has learned that if you cause undo harm to one Vargas, you summon the wrath of the others. And one ferocious Spaniard. And one semi-retired Prussian.
Lovino taunts Ludwig just for the hell of it these days. Feli has tried dozens of times to get him to stop. But, even when Marcello helped him successfully establish what was seemingly the perfect blackmail, it did nothing.
Interestingly enough, Marcello and Freidrich adopted each other on site. They alternate between over-mothering each other to half-flaying on each other while reading and meme-swapping.
Lovino has thus declared he is the only sane one left for not forming a close bond with any of the Germanics. This was met with a pointed look as Gil lifted the corner of his shirt, revealing the tip of a matching tattoo, a slow smirk, and earning the taunting: “Remember the Camaro.” Lovino proceeded to reinstate his quest to find brain bleach.
They disappear a few times each year on fishing trips; they’d all live on the water if they could get away with it.
Their main house is in Rome. Lovino has his own place in Napoli, Feli in Venezia, and Marcello a small farm just outside Seborga city limits. They really hate being apart for too long though, so even when in their own homes, they still find ways to never really stop talking.
They are all scared of one day being seperated from each other once again. Each has a different recollection of the Hell they faced for reunification, but they’ll be damned if they ever put themselves into such a vulenerable position ever again.

How Nonno Vargas Figures Out About Romerica And Tells Alfred He’s Okay With It
I haven’t started the Italy trip portion of this story yet, but when I do, I picture Nonno Vargas taking one look at Romerica when he meets FrUK and their sons and going “okay, these two are not just stepbrothers.” He makes some joking comment about how he assumed Alfred was Savino’s boyfriend when they walked in, Savino denies it while internally panicking, Feli distracts their Nonno by talking about Ludwig and showing him a picture on his phone, and Nonno Vargas lets it go. He (and some OC Vargas aunts/uncles) might notice some odd stuff while FrUKSpa plus the kids are visiting like the way they sit so close together or play footsie under the dinner table. But if anyone points out any of this, Antonio might be like “Yes, isn’t it nice how close they are as friends?” and they’re like “ok, this is a little strange, but if Antonio’s fine with it I don’t care.” There will definitely be sightseeing stuff in Italy, because the FACE family hasn’t been there before. Maybe one time Romerica go on a date they can brush off as Savino wanting to show his stepbrother something in Rome that’s not one of the bigger tourism attractions (I’d have to research for something that might not be on the immediate list for a first time tourist to go see but something an Italian native might want to show a friend/romantic partner). So, Nonno Vargas has some suspicions, but nothing concrete.
Then on Christmas Day, Romerica get each other these super thoughtful presents. I’m thinking Savino got Alfred a telescope because of his space nerd tendencies that Savino noticed, and Alfred got Savino college-level textbooks in things he thinks Savino might actually consider studying in college as a major (culinary arts, fine art, botany). I haven’t mentioned Alfred Christmas shopping for Savino in this story, and that’s because he got him his Christmas present back in September after there was a college fair at their school. Nonno Vargas is really struck by the fact that Alfred got Savino’s Christmas present before he seemed to get one for his brother or his fathers and that he was thinking about what his “friend” would want to study in college instead of what he wants to do himself. Romerica are extremely grateful for the presents, and there’s hugging/cheek kissing that isn’t explicitly romantic because it’s in front of their parents, but Nonno Vargas can tell what’s going on based on the way they talk about why they picked out the presents for each other, look at each other, and act around each other.
The next day, Nonno Vargas takes Alfred aside and shows him an old photo album of him and his wife getting married when they’re 18/19 years old. (If she’s alive, I’ll edit in some earlier mentions for her and have her as at least a background character while they’re in Italy. If not, I’ll have Nonno Vargas briefly mention her death and talk about how he cherished all their decades together.) Alfred is like, “I appreciate that you’re showing me this, Mr. Vargas, but is there a reason you decided to show me a photo album of you getting married to your wife?” Nonno Vargas laughs and replies, “Because yesterday, when you were giving Savino his Christmas present, you looked at my grandson the same way I looked at my wife on our wedding day.” Alfred starts to panic, and Nonno Vargas explains how he fell in love young once too, and he understands that young people can sometimes have very serious, permanent feelings for each other because he did. He makes some kind of joke about how he had to work to get his wife’s family to approve of him but was fortunate enough that he and his wife’s parents weren’t married to each other, and he says he understands that their situation “isn’t traditional” but that Romerica will have his support as long as Alfred keeps looking at Savino like that.

[12:30 PM] Seborga: Uh... What? [12:30 PM] Sealand: Why is America panicking outside our house?
[12:31 PM] Sealand: Is he here to announce my becoming a country?
[12:31 PM] Molossia: No, you dolt! [12:31 PM] Molossia: That stupid Italian did something!
[12:32 PM] Kugelmugel: Feliciano is not stupid!
[12:32 PM] Ladonia: Take those words back!
[12:32 PM] Seborga: Fratello hates the thought of losing his love.
[12:32 PM] Sealand: Arthur doesn't want to lose him, either.
[12:33 PM] Ladonia: When's the wedding, again?
[12:40 PM] Seborga: Feli proposed ages ago!
[12:40 PM] Sealand: After the Cold War, right?
[12:40 PM] Seborga: Actually, it happened a bit after the Italian Unification.
[12:41 PM] Seborga: He proposed in front of Lovi and I!
[12:42 PM] Seborga: But... Arthur asked for him to wait...
[12:45 PM] Kugelmugel: So he waited... and proposed AGAIN after the Cold War.
[12:45 PM] Ladonia: Oh... [12:46 PM] Ladonia: All the roses England kept receiving had him way up in the sky, right?
[12:47 PM] Kugelmugel: Obviously! [12:47 PM] Sealand: Oh! [12:47 PM] Sealand: America still doesn't know what that was about?!
[12:47 PM] Molossia: You knew?! [12:44 PM] Sealand: Arthur was so high up in the clouds for days!
[12:45 PM] Sealand: He didn't correct my claims of being a country even once!
[12:55 PM] Molossia: No way!!! [12:55 PM] Molossia: I had no idea that actually happened!!!
[12:56 PM] Ladonia: Course not! [12:56 PM] Ladonia: You were too busy being yourself!
[12:57 PM] Molossia: What's that supposed to mean?!
[12:57 PM] Sealand: Hehe... Exactly that! [12:58 PM] Molossia: Why you...! [12:58 PM] Seborga: Let's talk about happier things, shall we?
[12:59 PM] Kugelmugel: Bruder confessed to Feliks this morning.
[1:00 PM] Sealand: Wedding?! [1:00 PM] Kugelmugel: Not yet. [1:02 PM] Kugelmugel: Lizzy's excited for them.
[1:02 PM] Seborga: Are you? [1:03 PM] Kugelmugel: Of course I am! They've been waiting for centuries!

enchanted to meet you

Lovino didn't want much in life. He was content with how things were. He lived with his brothers in an apartment above their tiny, slum Italian restaurant in NYC, helped and taught them what he knew in magic, and he made damn sure that they busted their asses in school. Marcello especially, the slacker. He just had to remind Feli to go to class. Juggling bills and taking care of his brothers was enough...right?
Antonio had it all. He was in a pack with his best friends and their close family, and he was living life care-free. No strings, no worries, no more boring high school... Job-hopping, siestas, and huge family-pack outings were the life...right?

Memories Chapter 2
Cosette Choquette - Monaco Maria Dela Cruz - Philippines
*Dornoch is a burgh or town in Scotland.*
Chapter Summary: "He's an idiot, you know?" Gilbert Beilschmidt, Prussia. "We're running out of space..." - Nun. "I won't let us get separated. I promise." - William Kirkland, Wales. "Is it just me... or is that a bruise on Seborga's arm?" - Ray Jones, Molossia.
The police station was quiet today. There were no pressing cases in the town. However...
A certain police officer glared at the information board in the hall, just across his office.
Name: Gilbert Beilschmidt
Age: 27
Rank: Special Officer First Class
~¤~¤~
Name: Cosette Choquette
Age: 24
Rank: Special Officer First Class
~¤~¤~
Name: Ivan Braginsky
Age: 29
Rank: Special Officer First Class
He twirled a pen in his right hand, ruby red eyes shifting from their very brief information board, back to the case file with the big red 'CLOSED CASE' stamped on the folder.
He heaved a sigh as he tapped his pen on the desk. "Gil?" he looked up to lock eyes with one of his assigned partners. "What?" his voice sounded tired, even to himself. "The funeral's today isn't it?" her chocolate brown eyes held sadness and remorse.
Gilbert gave a stiff nod, his snow-white hair bouncing with the movement. "I'll be going with Ivan later today." Cosette combed a hand through her long blond hair as she sighed. "Maria and I will stop by tomorrow. Her boss is still convinced this is an alibi for us to... scandalize..."
Gilbert's eyes narrowed at the last word. "He's an idiot, you know?" Cosette gave a tired look as she nodded. "We both know that. But what can we do?"
Cecilia Caine was a lovely young woman. She was cheerful and loving. Her hazel brown eyes married perfectly with her black hair. At the age of twenty-five, she became engaged to her childhood friend.
Fredrico Ricci was only a week older than she was. He was a dream to many with his chocolate brown hair and ocean blue eyes. No one spoke ill of the couple or their engagement. In fact, their engagement was an engagement the whole town of Dornoch more than approved of.
Six Months Later
It was a peaceful afternoon at the church just on the outskirt of town. The bell rang, signifying the beginning of afternoon mass. A few nuns were whispering in the corner.
"Oh... how are we to help them...?"
"We're running out of space..."
The young couple approached the nuns. "Good afternoon, sisters." Fredrico greeted. "How I wish it were..." one of the nuns spoke. "Perhaps, we could be of assistance?" Cecilia offered a kind smile. "The orphanage is... running out of space..."
"That's terrible!" Fredrico looked towards Cecilia, almost asking aloud. She simply smiled and nodded at his unspoken words. "We have wanted to love and care for children since our teenage years! But we are not married yet." The nuns wore hopeful expressions as the couple asked if they could adopt children.
"Actually... Would you mind adopting four?"
"Four children would be wonderful!" Cecilia chuckled at her husband's happiness. "They're brothers."
"That's even more wonderful!"
"Forgive him. We both love children, you see." Cecilia could not hide her own happiness from her voice. "They are close, even though they argue over the most insignificant things." One of the nuns commented, earning amused chuckles from her fellow sisters. "If you could, please tell us about their biological family?"
The nuns held solemn expressions at the question.
"Their parents died trying to get them out of their burning house..."
One of the nuns handed them a folder. "This contains very limited information, aside from what we've told you; there is almost nothing else to be said." Inside the folder was a single sheet of paper with names, pictures and very basic information.
Name: Peter Kirkland
Birthday: December 24
Age: Three years old
He looks up to his brothers even though they have many sibling squabbles.
~¤~¤~
Name: Arthur Kirkland
Birthday: February 3
Age: Six years old
He loves his brothers dearly. He is prone to taking challenges personally.
~¤~¤~
Name: Seamus Kirkland
Birthday: July 9
Age: Eight years old
He hates when people belittle his brothers.
~¤~¤~
Name: William Kirkland
Birthday: August 17
Age: Nine years old
He is the most level headed, although he can hold grudges against those who hurt his brothers.
Turkey held the remote in his left hand. "So, like... they might have fears regarding the fire...?" He can't seem to wrap his mind around the information. "Looks like it..." Canada's answer was heard by all the present countries.
Everyone gave Ireland and Scotland sympathetic looks.
"Don't look at me like that!" Ireland yelled as he huffed. "If you don't stop that..." Scotland let the threat hang over their heads. Deciding they didn't want to deal with the brothers, they turned their attention to America and France.
Both countries looked murderous as they recalled all the flames during the wars.
Everyone then focused back on the screen, as they all wished to keep their lives.
Turkey pressed the play button.
Peter's sapphire blue eyes glared at the floor before locking on his brother's back. "Do you think they'll separate us?"
"I'd love to see them try." William spoke as he combed his blonde hair. "They'd have to get through me, first." He turned to face his youngest brother, who was messing up his own blond hair. "I won't let us get separated." His dark green eyes roamed over his brothers. "I promise."
Emerald green eyes glared at the wall of their shared bedroom. "Arthur. Stop that." His angry eyes kept glaring from beneath blond locks, even as he turned to face his brother. Concerned light green eyes watched him. Seamus went back to combing his blonde hair as Arthur vented.
"They're all the same! Treating us like we know nothing..." the last part was almost unheard.
"Oh, stop that." William pulled out their regular clothes. "C'mon, now. Hop to!" His brothers all groaned at him. "Do we have to change?" Peter whined. "Well. Considering we won't be needing these uniforms anymore..." he laughed as his brothers instantly jumped at the opportunity.
They don't have to wear the plain and itchy church uniforms?
Why did no one tell them of this wonderful thing?!
Two Months Later
Cecilia reread the folder in her hands as they drove from the church to their house, which had been renovated into a large two-story house with a basement.
Name: Feliciano Vargas
Birthday: February 13
Age: Six years old
Has trouble sleeping alone, most likely due to the tragic death of his family.
~¤~¤~
Name: Marcello Vargas
Birthday: October 7
Age: Four years old
Protective of his brother.
There was an awkward silence as the blond brothers stood face to face with their new siblings. William decided to be the first to step up. "Hey! You're Feliciano and Marcello Vargas?" the taller boy tried to hide behind their mother. There was sadness mixed with fear in his hazel eyes.
"Brother, it's okay. I don't think they'll hurt us." the shorter child cast them a calculating look after saying this.
They barely knew foreign language, but from the tone of voice, they could tell whatever tragedy happened to the two was still fresh.
"My name's William Ricci. Pleased to meet you." William gave a curt nod before nudging Seamus forward. "Seamus. Welcome to the family!" Seamus beamed at their new brothers, trying to coax a reaction. "Name's Arthur. You're from Italy, right? I hear it's a lovely country." Arthur gave a wistful look at the thought of travelling there. "I'm Peter! Marcello, you're almost my age, right?" Peter had to keep himself from hugging their new brothers.
"I'm Marcello." The shorter boy introduced himself, red orange hair fluttering as he nodded at them. His green eyes flickered to the taller boy, whose brown hair was trying to act as some sort of shield for his wide eyes. "My grande fratello is Feliciano. Make him cry and you will wish for death."
America held the remote this time, worry written all over his face.
"Is it just me... or is that a bruise on Seborga's arm?" Molossia's query was added to a list of questions they were hoping would be answered. "I think Italy's going to be close to Wales... or Austria..." Hungary's suggestion was added to a list of theories.
"Maybe we should take a breather, for now?" Canada spoke on behalf of France, who was about ready to commit murder right then. "Yes. At least half an hour of calm should do us some good..." Germany's announcement seemed to lift the piling tension from the room.

Lost and Found: Japan
Today started out the same as it had for the last few months. I woke up to the sound of my ringing phone, only to see a lot of voicemails. There was one from China, three from England, two from Bulgaria, five from Finland, five from both Romano and Seborga... and a lot more from many others...
I was unable to answer all of them, but I did listen to the aforementioned countries as I prepared and ate my breakfast.
"Zipangu, have you any leads? The one from Mongolia lead to nothing..."
I could only sigh, hoping the dreadful feeling in my chest would be gone with the tea. China had been following that particular trail for the past week...
"My brothers and I are scouting Dublin. Ireland said he saw them passing by."
I keep telling myself to hope. Just hope that this might lead us to them...
"We missed them, apparently... The people said they were heading north..."
I know how that feels...
"Seamus just wrestled a bear... and won! I'm so proud -I'm older than you by a year, at least!- I mean, he won in less than five minutes, I tell you!"
That sounds just like England, to act so proud and to treat Northern Ireland as a younger brother. I smiled a bit, feeling marginally better than before.
"Vlad and I were with Turkey and Greece since yesterday morning. That lead Cyprus gave? Totally false! Man, I could...!"
I remember Greece scowling the entire time when they told us about Cyprus' lead. Now, it turned out to be false, once more... He must feel so crossed...
"So, Serbia just told us that he saw them near his borders recently. We're going to check it out. We'll give you guys updates!"
I sighed, knowing full well the new lead could just be another dead end...
"Not sure if anyone will listen, but Hanatamago just ran into the woods. He hasn't come back yet..."
I tensed at that. It sounded so similar to what happened with my friends...
"We just found him! He was hurt real badly, so we're patching him up! He found his scarf, so he tried to fend off a few wolves..."
I felt my hands tremble a little as I washed the dishes and utensils I used. Finland said Hanatamago found his scarf... this could very well be our first true lead...!
"Berwald and I are now at Eduard's place to see if we could use the scarf to track them."
I had repeatedly prayed to every deity I could think of that the scarf would lead us to them...
"The scarf turned out to be rather old, a month or two? And there were lots of different scents that we might not be able to find them..."
But it seems fate is truly very cruel...
"I hope we find them, soon... this is just so nerve wrecking..."
I agree with him, honestly.
"When I see him, I'm going to smack him. Once. -But Lovi, he'll need hugs the most!- I know that, damn it!"
I couldn't help but smile lightly at their words. I had moved from the kitchen to my bathroom, for an early morning bath.
"Antonio was told by Portugal, who was told by Mexico -Who should have told Spain, herself, by the way!- that she heard Puerto Rico mention..."
"He mentioned them going through his borders. -They both should have just told Spain, though!-"
Seborga's correct. They were both Spain's colonies at some point in time, so it would only be fitting and understanding for them to tell him instead of asking someone else to relay the information.
"Lovi's making dinner, so I'll be relaying the information this time around! -Don't sound so damn excited!- So..."
I hummed, rinsing my hair as I listened to their attempt at recording peacefully and straightforwardly.
"Lovi and Spain are going to Puerto Rico right after dinner. I'm going with Hugo, he said he felt them in his lands for a brief moment."
I stopped scrubbing myself at his words. Kugelmugel cared as much as we did, of course he would not lie. We all know he actually cried upon learning of their sudden disappearance.
About three and a half hours later, after trudging through the crowds and being crammed in train carts, I reached a small province that used to be a micronation. He is my little brother. He would have been a wonderful country, had his people not decided they did not wish to be a country...
"Big brother! Over here!"
I turned and smiled at him. He took hold of my right hand and pulled me along, to his own little house.
"You've talked with New Zealand and Wy, yes?"
"Yup! They said Australia's got them following a lead down south."
I'm thankful they are trying to help us. It feels like almost a quarter of the world is looking for them.
Hopefully, we'll find them soon...
....
........
....
Is it wrong to think like I do? Even though they're both my friends...
I worry about one more than the other...
"Don't worry, brother. We'll definitely find them! And when I get my hands on whoever is behind this..."
A large part of me is proud of my brother's loyalty to his friends and his willingness to keep them as safe as possible. A smaller part of me worries that he might turn violent... then again, most countries get violent at some point in time...
"Hiro, have you been in touch with any of the other provinces?"
"Well... not yet, actually... I'll try and talk with Okinawa today, but I can't  guarantee anything...”
