Dragon!Aone, living near a village, wakes up to fem!reader chained to a tree near his cave. When he slowly goes up to them as to not scare them he is surprised to be met with excitement. After he freed the reader, she tells him about how she was curious and interested in dragons wich let to the village people sending her as a sacrifice to him. When he first saw you there, chained up and locked to a tree, he was furious

How dare they lock up a maiden and try to sacrifice her to him??

He knew what people thought of dragons but he couldn’t help but feel insulted he would be used in a plot so cruel

Naturally, he knew that no one was going to come and save you so he took his approach

He tried to be as slow and as gentle as he could, not making any sudden movements in fear of terrifying you too much that it would be impossible to get close

You didn’t notice him immediately, but once he was close enough and you laid your eyes on him?

You surprised him

He had heard screaming and shouting and swearing at his existence before but never had he ever heard someone squeal in excitement 

But there you were- the biggest smile on your face as you clapped your and together and shouted “You’re here! You came!” at him

And little did he know that would be the start of something new

You loved dragons- that was what you told him when he first untied you

Despite this, he tried to nudge you with his snout in the direction he knew there were villages but you wouldn’t budge.

Instead, you were quick to turn around and run your fingers up and down in excitement

That over-joyed look on your face? It never went away as you looked at him in such awe 

As much as Aone enjoyed your soft, gentle touch, he knew you couldn’t stay

He was a beast but you were like the sun- a cave is no home for a woman like you and a dragon is no companion for a person so sweet

But no matter how much he pushed or huffed or glared down at you, you wouldn’t leave.

You just looked up at him and smiled as if this was where you were meant to be. Where you wanted to be.

A couple of minutes later, he found himself walking back to his cave with another huff

You walked beside him, holding onto his tail the entire way

It took a couple of weeks for you to adjust, and just a few months for everything to fall into place

He learned so much about humans that he didn’t know before- and very quickly too

He learned that while you can eat the same berries and fruits as he, you could not eat his hunt- not without a breath of his fire to scorch the skin of his kill

He learned that you were not content with sleeping all day as he did. 

You were built to explore and to wander and to get yourself in all sorts of trouble that he would gladly save you from

He learned that you needed warm at night and a simple fire was not enough when the wind blows strong

You sleep best when you’re curled into his side and he’s curled around you

He learned that you had so much to say- about your home, your life, your family, the world, and him

He learned that you were quick to compliment him on his existence. Quick to say that you loved his eyes and his scales and that you thought he was so beautiful. So grand.

And he learned that you were quick to tell him that you think you love him only after you thought that he had fallen asleep

Aone and you wanted to have a nice dinner this week

but with him having a full time job and playing volleyball it was hard navigating his and your schedule

so in the end, it didn‘t work out as planned

he would make it up to you on the weekend but you had really been looking foward to spending a little extra time with him

so, you decided to surprise him

just because you couldn‘t have dinner together didn‘t mean you couldn‘t make him something

as you wrapped up the bento box you couldn‘t help but smile

you could already see his shy face, a small blush appearing

maybe that reaction was just what made it so nice to do things for Aone

even though he always made sure to pay you back for everything you ever did for him, no matter how small, it always made you so happy to be able to do something for him that would make him happier too

his practice was supposed to end soon which was good

you could already feel your eyelids getting heavier and heavier

but an employee at the gym your boyfriend trained at told you that they still hadn‘t finished and it didn‘t look like they would any time soon

well, it probably wouldn‘t take that much longer, it was late already

you‘d just sit down and wait for him

that was your plan

unfortunately for you though, it did take much longer

as you leaned against the wall beside your seat you didn‘t even notice your eyes slipping close, Aone‘s bento still in your lap

as you were slowly lulled into a sweet slumber Aone‘s training was finally over

they were all tired and exhausted, but they had an important match coming up, so the extra work would pay off

as he headed for the exit he saw two of his teammates talking quietly as to not disturb someone

his expression of confusion changed to a mix of suprpise, love and worry as he saw you, asleep, slumped up against a wall

he immidiately walked up to you

his teammates even tried to stop him, thinking you were just a stranger to him

“y/n,“ he whispered, crouching down in front of you

as he shook you awake, your eyes still groggy, all you could manage to say was “bento,“ pointing to the wrapped box in your lap before your head fell foward, resting on Aone‘s shoulder

he smiled softly at your tired form

though he felt bad for making you wait he couldn‘t help the warm feeling blooming in his chest at the thought of you making such an effort for him

he draped his jacket over your shoulders, helping you to his car, not caring for all of the looks his teammates gave him

HAIKYUU BOYS TEACHING YOU TO DRIVE

a/n: am I y/n oikawa’s? yes, absolutely. can I not tell my left from my right? yes, sometimes but I don’t want to hear about it.

ʚɞ BOKUTO Kotaro | bokuto was so excited when you asked him to teach you to drive. “really? you’re asking me and not akaashi?” “yes, bokuto, you.” immediately was ready for lessons. tried his best to explain things to you but ends up confusing you more with the weird terms he has. doesn’t call the “gearshift” gearshift, referred to it as  “PRNDL”. was so nervous when you guys finally go on the road. he was very encouraging but but you see his knuckles turn white from gripping unto his seatbelt too tightly. you appreciate it but its honestly more distracting than helpful. “GOOD JOB BABY! NOW TURN LEFT!” “YES FANTASTIC! NOW TURN RIGHT!” “ko, could you please stop yelling?” “I’M NOT YELLING! YOU’RE DOING GREAT!” gave you the biggest hug afterwards. aside from the yelling, he’s a pretty good instructor. 8/10. 

ʚɞ MIYA Atsumu | also very excited to teach you to drive, but unlike bokuto who genuinely excited to teach you, atsumu was using the lesson as a chance to show off his driving skills. you’ll probably drive very little because he’s too busy “demonstrating” for you. “okay, let’s switch places. I’ll show ya how to reverse.” “tsumu, you can just teach me, you don’t have to show me.” “nah, nah, princess, ya gotta see for yerself.” not that you’re complaining though because he definitely does that hand on the back of your headseat thing as he reverses and you know that’s hot. swoon. but if you want a chance at passing your driver’s test, osamu as your teacher would be a better bet. 6/10. 

ʚɞ YAKU Morisuke | immediately goes into instructor mode the moment you asked him to teach you to drive. sat you down and gave you a presentation on the in and outs of traffic rules before you’re even allowed to sit in the driver’s seat. very strict and expected you to follow his directions to the t, after all, you came to him to learn right? “alright, now use the turn signal right here. make sure to check your side mirrors, once, then twice. now turn your head to check the blindspot. I SAID TURN YOUR HEAD TO SEE THE BLIND SPOTS!” “STOP YELLING AT ME!” “TURN YOUR HEAD!” apologized to you for the yelling, but it’s the same story all over again at your next lesson. however, it was all wroth it because you scored a perfect 100 on both your writing and driving test. 9.5/10 (minus .5 for the yelling). 

ʚɞ AONE Takanobu | aone’s lessons were pretty nerve-wrecking not because he yelled at you, but the opposite, its the fact that he barely commented on anything. you’re not sure if you’re doing things right because he’s not saying anything but you saw the wince in his face when you accidentally sped past a speed bump. “sorry, I’m supposed to go slow right?” he nodded, slowly bringing a hand up to the handlebar. when you brake too slow and almost hit the car in front of you, aone again doesn’t say anything except, “brake faster.” a lot of uncomfortable silence because you’re both nervous about your driving. he gave you a little head pat afterwards and muttered, “good job.” he tried to avoid you the next few days so you don’t ask him to teach you again but it wasn’t like you were planning to anyways. 4/10. 

ʚɞ NISHINOYA Yu | asking nishinoya to teach you to drive was both entertaining and lowkey a life hazard to everyone else on the road. he gave you a very very brief overview of the car, pointed to things and just went, “that’s the brake, that’s the gas pedal, the D is drive, the N is neutral, the R is reverse. got it? kay, let’s go!” once you’re on the road, he urged you to go faster, probably forced you to go on the highway on the first day. crazy man will even roll down the window and scream at passing cars, “FIRST TIME DRIVER WHOOP WHOOP!” when you’re more comfortable, he tried to convince you to reenact some fast and furious scene. by the end of it, you thanked God for guiding both of you back safely and in one piece. y Instructor Nishinoya is a fun time guaranteed and you will learn how to drive with the small risk of potentially losing your life. 6/10 (minus 4 points for being an irresponsible instructor). 

ʚɞ OIKAWA Toru | was so pleased you came to him for driving lessons, he’s always thought himself a superior driver. If only he knew the sole reason you came to him was because Iwaizumi, Mattsun and Makki were all busy. Anyhow, in the beginning, Oikawa was very patient and kind, full of encouragements and praises for you. but the longer you drive and the more times you couldn’t distinguish between your left from your right, the more he wanted to tear his hair out. tried his best to stay patient but you could tell he’s losing his mind the higher pitched his voice got. “Okay,  that’s it. now go left. no y/n, that’s your right signal. I said left. That’s the side you don’t write with. LEFT! GO LEFT!” he cut the lesson short with some lame excuse about needing to use the restroom. texted Iwaizumi afterwards, “I’m never taking y/n out to drive again. It’s your turn.” hey, at least you tried your best. 5/10.

anon i want you to know this is probably the most random most specific ask i have ever gotten and that makes it extremely funny thank you

also i feel like i need to add the quick disclaimer that i can't swim nor do i frequently visit rivers and lakes so like. i am VERY much out of my depth here (but i do love the beach!)

okay first let's divide between who can or cannot swim

can swim: moniwa, futakuchi, nametsu, aone, obara, sakunami, kamasaki (kamasaki and futakuchi will IMMEDIATELY start a race and will rope entire strangers into it) cannot swim but can at least float: onagawa, sasaya, fukiage only knows how to doggy paddle: koganegawa

a beach trip would be SO intensely chaotic btw the logistics are a fucking nightmare

if they took the train/bus they'd take up half the space. they'd need to take two separate cars bc there are eleven of them. i guess they COULD take whatever van it is they use to get to away games but who in the world is going to drive them, oiwake??? no way in hell they give that man enough migraines DURING school he does NOT wish to be tortured outside of it

(is what he says. but he loves this team and he cares about this team and he tells them that they deserve a break, so why not? it won't stop him from grumbling about needing to take like five cans of coffee with him tho)

oiwake immediately regrets his decision when futakuchi rolls up in oversized sunglasses, one of those big floppy straw hats, and an open hawaiian shirt over a tank top that says "sun's out buns out" a la terribly translated english misprints. futakuchi has no idea what it means

aone has a matching tank top too and on the other hand he DOES know what it says he's just praying that nobody asks him because he has no idea how he's going to explain it

i can see onagawa just being the type of guy who sits and chills under the umbrella with a book and occasionally wanders off to get food, especially shaved ice

he attracts a lot of attention anyways bc his swim trunks look like they belong on the floor of an american retro-style arcade (shoutout to @prick-love-for-pricking for that)

he DOES get up to join the others in dunking futakuchi underwater after sakunami called it a "team bonding exercise"

everyone worries about sakunami btw because "oh my god what if he falls down and gets washed away WHAT IF HE DROWNS WHEN WE'RE NOT LOOKING HE COULD LITERALLY GET KNOCKED OVER BY A WAVE"

futakuchi suggests getting a balloon and tying it around sakunami's wrist like that one picture of the turtle walking around the office or whatever it was

they don't do this but moniwa DOES get a pair of horrifically neon-orange sunglasses and makes sakunami wear them on his head like some kind of beacon

kogane is constantly sending pictures to his fellow first-year mock sports camp club btw and most of the others won't admit it but they are SUPER jealous

kamasaki, while everyone is lounging in the ocean: "so . . . . have any of you guys seen jaws?" futakuchi: "if you don't shut up right now i WILL drown you"

when aone gets tired of the ocean he recruits anyone on land to build a sand castle with him and somehow ends up roping, like, five little kids into helping him build the ultimate sand fortress

so he ends up with obara, kogane, nametsu, and oiwake and a little army of five-to-seven-year-olds

those same kids BEG to play volleyball with everyone once they hear that they're a team btw

so everyone - third years and nametsu included - divides into teams of littles vs high schoolers and ask oiwake to keep score

(the little kids are SUPER impressed with sakunami. one of them tells sakunami that they want to be a libero just like him and sakunami doesn't cry, exactly, but it's a close thing)

they keep rotating people in and out and across teams so that aone is on team a one match then switches with fukiage on team b for the next and so on and so forth and honestly who even cares about who's winning or losing when they're all having so much fun?

they fall asleep on the ride home, all curled up on each other and heads resting on shoulders and all that. oiwake wishes he had his hands free to take a picture, but oh well. some memories are better off swept away with the moment.
