Finally mustered the courage to go back and reread my self-insert angst and. huh. It’s not as bad as I remember. I mean… as long as I don’t think of her as literally me, in which case I want to jump out the window. But like as a character? Not bad. Not too bad. Complex stuff, but WOW was I in a horrible place mentally, yikes. (It’s not as obvious from an outside POV but rereading it and remembering exactly how I was feeling at the time was like, ah. I was doing Really Badly.)

But anyway, it was interesting and compelling. (To me, anyway, but I suppose that IS the main goal…) Maybe I’ll get back to working on that. It’s funny to reread Tempus and remember how he originally was. He’s become so much more of a little bastard. Ah, or maybe that’s just the ⁂ version of him. Anyway, he’s more tenderhearted and forgiving than I remembered, haha… interesting.
