The Spirit(s) of Christmas - Part 5 (Final)

Summary: It was your first Christmas at the Seaside Manor since you had inherited it. Whilst you were ready for some Christmas spirit, the ghosts haunting it weren’t as willing to celebrate.

A/N: Welcome back to the Seaside Manor! I knew we couldn’t just leave the ghosts to celebrate by themselves - which apparently, they aren’t so keen to do anyway! So we had to return and see if we could bring in some festive cheer!

This story is part of a previously written world. It may make some sense, but to understand all the characters, I highly recommend reading all the previous parts and spinoffs in the masterlist first before reading this series! They can be found in the link above.

“Grandma?!” you squeaked, though she looked nothing like the old and wrinkled version you were used to. And whilst you had seen the multitude photos of your grandmother throughout her life, you still couldn’t believe the beautiful woman standing before you all was the same one you had treasured the most in this world.

“Jesus Christ, Pearl,” Sungjin breathed, moving forward so fast that you almost fell over with the wind that followed him. He hugged her tightly, and the woman within the embrace giggled delightfully.

“What did you expect? How dare you try and have such a party without me invited?! Didn’t any of you think to come knock on heaven’s door and get me down here sooner?”

“But how, I mean I thought we could never see you again?” you breathed, fanning your hands in front of your face to stem the flow of your tears. You had worked too hard on this look to cry. Although at the same time, this was the Christmas gift you had been hoping for.

Perhaps, she had heard your pleas all along.

“Well, I’m not able to stay for long. And I’m being kind of irresponsible by being here. Especially when I told someone I wouldn’t see him until he’s done what I’ve asked of him.” Your grandmother looked to her lover that barely had moved enough for you to hug her. Sungjin merely shrugged, his smile inerasable. “But I had to make the exception for this. One of my babies is getting married!”

“Might I remind you, I’m older than you, Pearl,” Jae replied coming forward to hug the woman. And then he grinned. “But I’d love it if you did us the honour. If there’s anyone who can talk better than me…”

“I knew you’d need me,” Pearl agreed with a laugh, gesturing for you to go off and get the bride.

You were still amazed when you walked into the bathroom, barely finding the words to explain who was here. Sarah was confused when she saw someone who looked potentially younger than herself standing at the front though it was short-lived as you got immersed in the ceremony.

It was an overwhelming experience. You watched as Becky and Jae both made their way through their vows, Becky with tears and Jae with fumbled words. You looked at your grandmother, seeing so much of yourself in her. She was of course, far more confident than you were and with the way Sungjin watched her every move, you could tell their love travelled to each other no matter where they were.

You saw Sarah grow emotional just as much as Wonpil did, reaching out to hold his arm during the vows excitedly. Wonpil’s smile grew so big; you were sure he would outshine the Christmas tree’s star behind him.

And then you felt Brian’s hand slip into yours. Looking up at him, your heart skipped a beat as your lips moved into a smile, his thumb running gentle circles over your skin. You didn’t need any words from him; the emotional look in his eyes said it all.

This Christmas you had achieved what you set out to do. You wanted to see them all smiling like this, the festive air bringing joy to everyone. There was no doubt in your mind that this year was your favourite one you had ever celebrated.

“You may now kiss your bride!” Pearl sang out and Jae grabbed a hold of Becky and spun her to the side, kissing her as you all cheered loudly. You laughed when you saw Sarah lean over and peck Wonpil on the cheek, unable to control her romantic notions any longer.

After the ceremony ended, you all piled into the dining room where it felt so normal to hear playful banter between the bride and groom already and Pearl’s complaints for Sungjin since she had been gone. Wonpil and Sarah had found themselves a corner to talk within and Dowoon was happily handing out peppermint hot cocoa to everyone and playing with Custard as well. The night wore on with tales of old and new, and you had put yourself firmly between Pearl and Brian, lapping up both of their constant affection the entire time.

Your heart had never been so full.

Still, Christmas had yet to arrive and when it did, you knew at least one person wouldn’t be there when you woke up. “Can’t you stay any longer?”

“Afraid not, poppet.” Pearl affectionately cupped your face, kissing both of your cheeks softly. “The big man upstairs might get angry.”

“But!”

“Maybe we’ll get lucky and cross paths again in this lifetime, never say never.”

You nodded, hugging her tightly. “I’ll take care of Sungjin, don’t worry.”

“Isn’t that my line?” the man chuckled from behind you both and Pearl’s eyes lit up seeing him. You didn’t envy their love; instead you were deeply enchanted by it. You had never seen two people look at each other like that before.

Except when Brian did it to you in his own way.

“I’m stealing your Grandmother, Y/N. Sorry, but she left me far too quickly last time.”

“What nonsense, it was you who took too long to come to me.”

You smiled as you watched them move off to her bedroom, the door clicking shut behind them.

“Everyone’s about to be tucked up in bed,” Brian announced as he moved in behind you, hugging you to him. “Jae and Becky have retired the master suite of the manor, Dowoon is cuddled up by the fire with Custard and I’m pretty sure Wonpil is in with Sarah right now. And he had the audacity to screech when he found us back then.”

Shuffling around in his embrace, you smirked. “Granted, they all found us behind a curtain kissing.”

“You’re right; it was a bit odd of us.”

“Where should we kiss tonight?” you wondered and Brian stepped back, taking your hand in his and slowly walked to your bedroom. You giggled when he grew impatient, dragging you inside before picking you up and laying you down on your bed, littering you in kisses.

Rolling over in your bed as the early morning light shone against your eyes, you groaned before opening your eyes.

It was Christmas morning.

Glancing towards the still slumbering man beside you, you took Brian in slowly. He had always been handsome to you but in this light, you wondered if the reason he was yours was because he was dead. You didn’t want to dismiss anything about him, but had he been living and breathing right now, you were certain your luck wouldn’t have brought you both together.

He was too good to be true and the only way your brain could fathom what you had was because of your unique situation.

“Even if I was born in your generation, I would only want you,” he mumbled softly, his eyes still shut. You flinched at his sudden statement, gasping when you realised he had somehow figured out how to read your thoughts. He whined when you pushed him gently. “It’s Christmas morning, don’t be rough.”

“Get out of my head then! I can’t believe you can do that!”

“It’s not all the time. Just moments like this. It’s like you’re shouting it at me, needing my reassurance.” Finally, his eyes opened and a lazy smile crossed his face. “I need reminding too you know. Quite often I worry I’m keeping you from a normal life.”

“A normal life? What’s not normal about all this?” you wondered airily as his arms slipped around you, pulling you in closer. You brushed his bed hair away from his face. “The only thing that’s not normal is how good looking you are. It’s a crime.”

“Is that so?” he breathed, a husky chuckle leaving him and making your insides turn to mush. “I guess it’s your job to punish me then, right?”

“Hm, I don’t know if I should.”

“Then I’ll keep committing more crimes with this handsome face,” he stated, leaning in closer. “Like this.”

It was safe to say, you would never get sick of Brian’s kisses. There was a heightened experience to each one, as if his emotions were supercharged and the energy crossed over when his lips connected with yours. It was like riding a wave of pure ecstasy, rolling along with the highs and lows until you became breathless.

It was always you that pulled away first and you disliked it greatly.

Brian grinned as he watched you recover. “I don’t need to breathe like you do, remember.”

“Still, it makes me feel like it’s you who can’t get enough of me when it’s really the opposite.”

“Nuh-uh. I’m the one who never wants them to end.”

“Well, I guess that’s your gift to me today, right?”

“There’s a few things under the tree that I made for you.”

“Really?” You went to move out from under the blankets but Brian’s arms tightened around you quickly. You whined loudly. “Brian!”

“Not yet. Let’s just lie here for a bit longer. Soon everyone will be up and it’ll be as busy as it has been all season long. I feel like I only get fleeting moments with you.”

You smiled, nestling into his embrace again. As you thought over everything you had done recently, you realised he was right. You had focused on bringing a miracle to each of your friends that not once had you stopped to think of what to give him. He always rolled with whatever you did that it was easy to sometimes overlook if his needs were being met.

You glanced up at Brian guiltily and he pecked your lips. “You forgot someone else as well whilst on your mission for festive joy.”

“Who?”

He bumped you playfully with his nose, giving you an Eskimo kiss before shifting back a little. “You. Everyone was looked after by you but you never stopped to think what you needed this Christmas, Y/N.”

“Well, I didn’t need anything but everyone to be happy! Becky and Jae got married finally, Dowoon is smitten with Custard and Wonpil finally got to show himself to Sarah. My Grandmother surprised us all with her visit and Sungjin’s going to be beaming for months on end, I’m certain of it. Everyone is happy. Are you happy?”

“Of course, I got the greatest gift earlier in the year when we started dating.”

“And that’s enough?”

Brian thought for a moment, a cheeky smile crossing his lips. “Well, I mean we can always keep improving on what we have right?”

“Why are you so impatient? You’ve existed forever.”

“It was a long time without you, you know.”

“Well I don’t plan on going anywhere, I’m stubborn like Pearl.”

Brian chuckled heartily. “That I definitely believe in.”

“It’s up to you if you’re going to let me go because I’m content being stuck with you,” you told him, wrapping your legs around him for extra effort.

“I don’t think I could even if I tried.”

“Well then, what’s the rush?” you asked and Brian sized your lips up again, pulling the blankets up with him. You giggled and moved into his desires, cupping his face gently. “Then again, maybe I like where this is heading.”

After spending as long as you could in bed before you heard voices yelling out to one another about opening presents, you went out to see your friends all gathered in the living room. When you took over your grandmother’s manor, you would have never expected life to be quite like this. And when you had suggested you all celebrated Christmas together, well, you weren’t sure you’d make it to this point. There were no downcast expressions today.

Instead, the spirits of Christmas were definitely here. You couldn’t wait to welcome in the New Year with them all either.

DAY6 GRAVITY in JAKARTA // 30.11.2019

OH. MY. GOSH.

Best concert ever. Period.

I just wanted to share with you guys about my experience going to GRAVITYinJKT, it was truly amazing that I still suffer from my PCD until now. It’s not that severe but believe me, whenever I heard Best Part playing accidentally on my playlist I would go sksdkddjs and try hard not to scream lmao.

So, first of all, I will tell you the background story of why I chose to attend their concert. Well, it was because I’m very curious how cool is their live performance. I watched a lot of YT videos about them and read many MyDay (and non-MyDay)’s comments about seeing their live performance. At the same time, I have just joined the fandom and falling in love with their songs day-by-day. I’m still a 5-months old baby MyDay now hehe.

When I saw their tour announcement on Twitter, at first I was like ‘oh wow they’ll go on their 2nd world tour’ but then idek why I was willing to go and watch them. Really, my decision was out of the blue. Then I introduced DAY6 to one of my close friends by watching their videos on her YT lol. Initially, she said that the songs are good and catchy, but some days later she texted me that she watched DAY6′s MVs, her bias is YoungK, and she even listened to their songs regularly. I was surprised, and even more shooketh when she finally said “you said that you wanna go to their concert, right? let’s go to their concert, shall we?”

The night before departure to JKT

On Thursday night (November 28th), I read on Twitter that the boys had arrived at Jakarta. My heart was beating so fast, remembering that tomorrow I will go to Jakarta and on Saturday I’ll see them.

Departure to JKT

After the whole stressing weeks (yes November was that month), on November 29th me and my friend flew to Jakarta by plane. My friends who knew that I’ll watch DAY6 said have fun and gave their warmest greetings to DAY6. Around 5 pm, we reached Jakarta and head off to our hotel.

D-DAY GRAVITYinJKT

We woke up at 6.30 am (if I’m not mistaken lol), respectively took a shower, applied make-ups and did our hair nicely even though no one would look at us haha. Afterward, we checked our belongings and went to the venue to get our wristbands. At the venue, we finally met our senior from college and she introduced another senior from my college that just graduated. We greet each other and stick together until we got our wristbands and went to get lunch at the nearest mall.

Around 2.45 pm, the three of us got back from the mall and entered the gate to take our queue number. Why only three of us that went back? Bcs the other one was from the yellow section, and at the mall, we met our junior from college that also watch DAY6 in the yellow section. With that, she decided to went back with my junior when the gate is opened for their section. (the three of us were from the blue b section)

After we got our queue number, we queued for the photo spot and made friends with 3 MyDays. They were chill and fun to talk to, and our queue numbers were in sequence. By that, we decided to always stick together until the end of the concert and didn’t forget to follow each other’s social media accounts. While waiting, it was raining so hard. Until finally my section got to enter the venue first, and I was really excited.

6 of us stood in front of the extended stage and we were standing beside each other. When the time strikes 6.57, the opening VCR played and every MyDay screamed. The moving screen opened and there stood five men, holding their own instruments, that I’ve been waiting to see for 3 months. Best Part opened the concert, and I couldn’t do anything besides screaming, literally. I love the song.

I jumped freely and sang their songs on top of my lungs like I have nothing to worry about. I remembered Jae saying that we should take our stress off our life first when we attend their concert to enjoy the whole event, so I kept that in mind throughout the concert.

Until when it came to them performing on extended stage, I couldn’t stop saying ‘oh gosh’ when they walked towards it. And what made me even happier was,

Jae noticed me.

Yes.

Park Jae-hyung from DAY6 noticed me.

However, I forgot to record it bcs it was so sudden :”””). Jae was squatting in the extended stage to greet MyDays, and when his eyes were locked with mine, I immediately waved my right hand at him and said ‘Jae, hi!’ while smiling so wide. Jae smiled back and waved his hands at me, I still remember him mouthing ‘hi hello’ and I couldn’t stop smiling. After he mouthed ‘hi hello’ and waved at me, he waved at other MyDays.

It was beyond my expectations that DAY6 is so kind to MyDays and their performance was sooo amazing to witness. I cried when YoungK said this on his ment,

“Honestly, with that much energy, I think you -- each one of you -- will be able to achieve whatever you want. Whatever you want in life.”

Literally, I choked up and couldn’t hold my tears. Remembering that before I came to see them, they’re my motivation to do well in college, until now they still are. Then he told us to made a pinky promise with him, he said:

“Even though I said this a lot, please promise me to always be happy and stay healthy until we meet again.”

Anddd my tears were back again when Sungjin said this on his ment,

“I trust you guys, so you guys trust yourself. Bahagia dan sehat selalu, ya.” (= always be happy and healthy, okay.)

I truly felt the sincerity in their ments, but mostly YoungK and Sungjin’s that hit my heart the hardest. What made me happier was when Wonpil suggested MyDay to sing, he said that he got two songs in mind but he forgot the lyrics so he played the notes. Guess what? He played When You Love Someone first, and the second is I Smile. YoungK asked MyDays what song that we wanted to sing first.

Since I Smile is my most favorite, I energetically waved 2 fingers and saw that other MyDays were waving their 2 fingers too. YoungK said "I see a lot of peace signs *chuckling* okay then, number 2 it is!" so Wonpil started the song immediately. After singing I Smile, he played When You Love Someone. My friend aww-ed, bcs that is her favorite song.

Even Wonpil tricked MyDays with singing JYP’s You’re The One, but we still sang it anyway. Then after he said he was joking, he started out I’m Serious. MyDays singing it with him. At the beginning, they were saying let’s make tonight a festival, and it was really a festival.

If I describe how they are when seen in person... Jae, he was lanky and he has that cute baby face, Sungjin looked handsome + dashing and he’s funny omg, YoungK is what Indonesian MyDays called gembul, which means chubby in a cute way, and his smile is so captivating!

Wonpil is indeed looked like a prince, he’s that soft and uwu, and his solo stage is my #1 among the 5 solo stages. Dowoon? He! Babie! He’s so adorable I can’t, when he sang on Wanna Go Back and Get Lucky I can’t stop squealing over his voice like for real. When he talked also screams uwu, I laughed when he fist-bumped YoungK and said “come on, come on, hit the beat” >.<

After the concert, the promotor prepared freebies for us, that is, a DAY6 postcard. I got YoungK originally, then my friend found a MyDay who willed to exchange her Dowoon postcard for my YoungK postcard. (...you know who my heart belongs to guys hahaha)

I had a lot of fun at the concert. Even though I cried when I saw on the D2 of the concert the boys went down from the stage (yeah I’m such a crybaby bcs of that lol), I still feel grateful and happy bcs I went to see them.

Sometimes it’s true, experience is a lot more worthy than anything else. If you miss a valuable opportunity (when in fact you can achieve it), the next opportunity may be different from what you expect. We can’t predict what will happen in our future, right?

If you guys were asking me, did you ever feel any regret about choosing to go to DAY6′s concert? The answer is: no, absolutely not. I’m proud that I can afford myself a ticket and accommodation with my own savings. Also, I’m sooo glad that I joined the MyDay fandom, this fandom is literally filled with kind people and they’re fun to be with.

And if you guys were also asking me, will you attend their next concert? The answer is: yes, certainly, without a doubt.

Study: Yoon Dowoon

In which we dig deeper under the surface of our favorite KPOP idols.

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the gifs used in this post. I am not an astrologer nor am I a professional psychologist. These are my opinions based on the research I have done personally/as a hobby. If you disagree with any of these statements, please do so respectfully.

Sun Sign: Virgo (Earth)

Another Earth sign and another Virgo for this group! Poor Younghyun is the only member without an Earth Sun or moon sign. But that’s about as far as I’ll go in feeling sorry for him 😂.

Anyway. I think what throws off a lot of people when it comes to believing in Astrology is the fact that all the people in the world can’t possibly fit into just 12 different types of personalities. What they might not realize is, we each have 11 different signs in our birth charts, so our whole personalities are made up of different aspects of each of those signs. I can’t say I’ve met anyone who embodies every single one of their Sun sign traits, and Dowoon is no exception.

I think, if we put Jae and Dowoon together, we might get a total Virgo. Maybe. Of course, like all the other Earth signs, Dowoon is certainly hard-working and dedicated. He’s an excellent drummer, and you can’t be an excellent drummer in your early 20′s unless you’re very dedicated.

Virgos, specifically, are also known to be very loyal and kind. Dowoon definitely embodies these traits. He truly does seem like one of the sweetest people. His members really seem to value him (even though Dowoon totally beat Jae in LoL and boasted about breaking him mentally, but you know. We’ll get to that in his Moon sign.) And since a literal Virgin represents the Virgo sign, they’re seen to be the purest and most innocent of all the signs. I know Wonpil also seems pretty innocent, but Dowoon! Is such a muffin! He’s just so cute and sweet and precious and - yes - he is totally pure. God, what an adorable baby.

Moon Sign: Leo (Fire)

Just like Wonpil, Dowoon is an Earth Sun/Fire Moon - this is probably why they get along so well and are definitely one of the strongest Maknae teams in all of KPOP.

We all know that Dowoon is a Shy Boy™, but when he’s comfortable, he can be as weird and crazy as the rest of them. This is totally his Leo Moon coming through. He’s a total Virgo on the outside (reserved), Leo on the inside (playful). I can relate to this even though I’m an Air/Water (the total opposite of Dowoon, lololol).

Leos are known to be the more dramatic of the fire signs. They absolutely love being center stage and getting all the attention. They’re super expressive (WHICH DOWOON TOTALLY IS. Have you seen him play the drums?! As Sungjin said once, he looks like a baby bird! It’s freaking A D O R A B L E), and a lot of Leos love performing and being on stage for these reasons.

Leos also tend to be kind of... two sides of the same coin. Heads and tails, both. Not like Gemini, but in their own way. They’re super nice and personable and caring and loving... but they’re also fierce and protective. Just like a lion, which is who represents the sign. I’ve heard that a good phrase to describe Leo is 40% nice, 60% don’t fuck with me. And if you watched Jae’s vlog where Dowoon beat him in LoL, we kind of got a sense of that. Now, when Jae beat him in a follow-up vlog, he conceded and wasn’t butthurt, so that’s definitely his Virgo coming out. I really think Dowoon is a nice mix of his Sun and Moon sign.

Chinese Astrology: Wood Pig

Pigs, also known as Boars in the Chinese Zodiac, are known for being chivalrous and gallant, but they also tend to be pretty naive, innocent, and gullible. In addition, they're pretty good at recognizing their own faults and accepting them calmly. The first thing which came to my mind when I read this trait was Jae’s tomfoolery vlog. He, Dowoon, and Young K went on the roller coaster in Japan, and Young K said that Dowoon cried while on it. Jae asked Dowoon if he cried, and Dowoon just nodded. He didn’t seem embarrassed, he didn’t deny it at all, he just said: “mhm, I did.” It was adorable and very Pig-like of him.

Wood pigs, specifically, tend to draw out the more chivalrous/gallant side of the Pig because they love to help people. They’re usually very good-hearted and open-minded, so they’re very good people to have around. (I would definitely not hate having Dowoon around, I’m just saying.)

Numerology: Life Path 3

Like Sungjin, Dowoon’s life path number is 3. This number is known as the Communicator; they usually have a gift for communication in whatever form. It’s safe to say that both Sungjin and Dowoon have a gift for communicating to their fans through music. It’s very evident how passionate Dowoon is about music because he so quickly and easily gets lost in his drumming.

Like his moon sign, 3s usually like to perform in front of people because they have a lot of creative, joyful energy. Even though Dowoon is a shy introvert, he clearly loves performing! He wouldn’t be a musician if he didn’t want to share his love of and gift for music with the world.

Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, Perceiving

Dowoon is Introverted. He gains energy from either being alone or being in small social situations; large crowds or gatherings tend to drain him. Introverts also usually tend to think before they speak and spend a lot of time in their own mind.

brian is so intimidatingly beautiful you can’t look him in the eye until you’re all eating ramen and you watch him choke to near death and then immediately go make himself another cup

and as much as you want to think you’re denying wonpil because you’re embarrassed you’re starting to actually believe it

he’s never shown any sort of real interest in you that is out of the realm of Friendly Roommates

and yeah sometimes you guys snuggle but wonpil is literally wrapped around your right arm at this very second so . not valid

wonpil is basically BEGGING at this point for you to see what he sees

which is jae actually being sickeningly in love with you

even if you did believe him at all …. that’s an exaggeration and you both know it

you’re standing pressed together with his feet spread apart so that you’re a little bit closer to his height as you latch onto his shoulders for balance

one of his arms slides around your middle to hold you against him while he used the other to make sure his guitar case doesn’t just fall off his shoulder

wonpil is on the ground holding his rib cage and fake crying when jae goes

that’s a stressful event

you feel your breathing even out and you sigh in frustration

he pulls you closer and stops when your noses brush

he smiles and then tugs you forward and tilts his head down to plant his lips on yours

he’s soft and tentative and pulls away after just a few seconds to press kisses to your cheeks and the tip of your nose

“are you kidding me that’s worth EVERYTHING ???”

and then you pounce on him and bury your face into the dip of his shoulder because you can’t reach his neck

damn skyscraper

he stumbles at first but then smiles down at your flushed face absolutely squished against his bony chest

he thinks it’s cute though and cranes his neck down to lay his cheek across the top of your head and loop his arms around you

dating jae is even better than you thought it would be !!!

wonpil wasn’t lying when he said jae was writing a song for you and when he plays it for you and sings so sweetly you cry your fckin eyes out

and he’s laughing and pulling you in to situate you on his lap with his guitar long forgotten leaning against the couch and asking you when you became such a softie

I was tagged by @pepperminthiya (THANKS GORL) Okay so I’m more than a mess when it comes to bias’. I just love a lot people and can’t really put one over the other so besides a few none of them are in any particular order I just kind of...gave them numbers lol

1. [P.O] time to be gross over jihoon agaiiiin! I just think he’s such an amazing person altogether. I’m not saying other kpop idols are fake in anyway but in comparison I feel like P.O is just so authentic down to the core. Like he is so unapologetically himself no matter what. He is such a crazy hard worker too he seems to be always doing something even if the rest of block b aren’t and I really admire that. !!He’s such a great rapper with an amazing voice!! He also seems like such a friendly person with so much love to give and would do anything for his loved ones. He’s also so goofy and I love how he doesn’t take himself seriously all the time but he also knows when to be mature about things. Also, he can go from super cute to holy shit i’m sweating. Seeing photos of him or watching him in videos always brightens my day. He’s been my ultimate bias for 5 years and I don’t plan on changing.

2. [D.O] I think I love Kyungsoo for a lot of the same reasons I like P.O actually. His voice makes me melt omf. I seriously think he’s one of the best singers in kpop. He’s also so adorable lol a smol man. I love how he seems like this quiet guy who is sort of serious but is actually a goof ball too. I also love how he can smack a bitch if they step out of line.

3. [Amber Liu] Amber is such an inspirational person. She always stands up for what she believes in and like P.O is someone who is always herself no matter what. She always gives advice to her fans in order for them to be their best selves they can be. She really uses her platform as a kpop idol to express very important opinions. She has a beautiful singing voice and is an awesome rapper too. SHES JUST AMAZING OKAY??

4. [Yugyeom] My long leg :) He’s handsome, tall, funny and a great dancer whats not to like about him????? Boi his hit the stage performances ruined us all. i’m so proud of how many lines he’s been getting! I feel like he used to not get as many compared to the others so I’m a happy gal. Although I think bam is a bad influence on him I still think he is a good boy. :))

5. [I.M] He’s so fucking weird and thats perfect for me tbh. He’s just...my type idk. Like my friend laura ( @keyswaifu) and I were watching a video and he hit his head on something and she was like “he’s perfect for you” or “ I can see why you bias him” (or something like that) ngl I don’t even know what she means by that (like cus he’s dumb??idk) but she’s right...

6. [Jinsoul] Like I’m not even sure what to say besides the fact that I feel like she just embodies the word ‘slay’. She’s beautiful, great singer, great dancer and a great rapper. 10/10

7. [Brian/ Dowoon] So in a way I’m kind of cheating cus I put both of these guys together cus they’re both in day6 but i didn’t see any rules so like fuck the police amirite? Brian is so obnoxious with an amazing smile and amazing voice. Dowoon is a handsome precious baby child. the end.

8. [Woozi /Mingyu] back at it again with 2 but shush. Woozi is a small, insanely talented man who is has a lot of anger but sings instead and I love that. Mingyu is so stupid like why do i even bias him? (i lov hem)

9. [Key] i know laura is against me biasing him but she above all people should understand why I do. He’s really awesome and should probably have his own religion because he’s just so amazing. He’s so cute, super talented and is a swaggy ass rapper.

10. [Yuta] him being 10th really doesn’t mean anything as I said I just gave them numbers he’s definitely not last in any way. He has such a beautiful smile, really taelnted, he’s a big ass flirt and is funny i guess. I wrote a lot so this is kind of weak but I do really love him I swear.

Sungjin:

He couldn’t get the way she looked at him out of his head. It ate away at him the way Jina stared at Brian, revealing everything he didn’t know in a few short seconds. Sungjin knew he didn’t have her heart but he wasn’t going to let a guy like Brian Kang get a hold of it either, he didn’t deserve it.

“Let’s go boys!” There were girls cheering to snap him out of his current thoughts and his lover was one of them. Gym class had been in session for the last fifteen minutes and the boys were set to play a game of basketball giving the girls in the class a break until it was their turn to play.

Sungjin stood on the court along with Wonpil, the school’s athletic celebrity Yoon Dowoon, Jae the jokester of his class, Brian his new enemy and a few other guys.

“Think fast Sungjin!” Wonpil passed the ball to him quick before Dowoon could swipe it from his grasp. Sungjin dribbled down the court and shot the ball toward the hoop, watching it go in. The crowd of girls cheered but a few were especially loud for Dowoon who didn’t really do much. He was the only guy in school with a huge fan club and it was interesting to see him avoid them all the time.

Sungjin tried his best to focus on the game but his mind kept wandering to Jina, leaving him to avoid Brian who happened to be on his team, refusing to pass the ball to him and let him score.

“Wonpil here!” Sungjin threw the ball to his friend instead of Brian who was open, a bad move since Wonpil was the weakest on the team and was caught between Jae and a couple others. The ball was stolen from Wonpil easily and the rival team made the shot.

“Hell yeah!” Jae cheered while he ran around the court boasting about the 3-point shot he just made.

“What the hell man..?” Sungjin’s attention was torn from Jina’s face when Brian spoke.

“What do you mean what the hell…?” Sungjin raised a brow, his breath uneven from how hard he was playing the game.

“You could have passed the ball to me multiple times, you’re messing us up.” Brian wiped sweat from his forehead using the collar of his shirt.

Sungjin gritted his teeth annoyed by the other male’s comment, everyone around them fell silent watching them go back and forth. Wonpil stood by Sungjin with worried eyes hoping that he’d blow of Brian’s words and the tension would ease so they could continue the sport.

“You want the ball...?” Sungjin asked and snatched the basketball from Wonpil’s hands, shoving it with so much force toward Brian’s chest.

Jina stood up in the bleachers and so did the rest of the girls at the sudden confrontation. Brian barely caught the ball and threw it down hard, approaching Sungjin quickly.

“You got a problem with me?” Brian’s tone dropped dangerously low, a wild look in his eyes as he sized Sungjin up.

“Does it look like it?” Sungjin bumped his chest, not willing to back down until he felt Wonpil pull at his arm trying to wedge his way between them, Jae and Dowoon stepping in as well.

“Calm down, calm down,” Jae said with a light laugh. “You guys are on the same team remember? That anger should be toward me and my all-star crew.” He joked trying to lighten the mood.

“Jae’s right Sungjin…” Wonpil agreed. Sungjin backed down and Brian just looked away sucking his teeth.

“Plus... the coach just came back, unless you two want detention I advise you to cool it.” Jae casually tossed the ball back to Sungjin who caught it, his eyes still on Brian who glared back at him.

“Let’s play,” Brian said coolly as he walked away getting in position to guard Dowoon.

“Yeah,” Sungjin responded, his eyes meeting Jina who stared at him with an expression he couldn’t decipher. Several emotions swelled in his chest as he turned away from her. Sungjin played the best game he’s ever played fueled by jealousy and aggression which led his team to win.

After class, everyone changed in their respective locker rooms, all the guys leaving except for Sungjin who took his time getting dressed again. He had a lot on his mind, debating if he should ask Jina if she was interested in anyone else and if it happened to be Brian, he had to know for a fact so the thoughts could stop influencing him so heavily.

“You’re still here… we’ll be late for class if you don’t hurry.” It was Wonpil who spoke to him, Sungjin had no idea he still hung around waiting for him.

“It’s fine, you don’t have to stay here,” Sungjin said coldly as he put on his uniform shirt.

Wonpil gave a slight nod of his head and a faint smile but didn’t budge.

“Sungjin… what happened with Brian earlier…?” That guy is no joke... did he do something?”

Sungjin slammed his fist against the locker and turned to Wonpil who stared at him with his mouth slightly opened in surprise.

“Just drop it Wonpil, it’s nothing for you to be concerned about,” Sungjin said as he walked away.

Wonpil was his best friend but lately, Sungjin couldn’t bear to be around him or any other friends of his. His problems at home, the isolation he felt by the people who were raising him was morphing him into a person far different than what he used to be. His smiles these days were only meant for one person. The girl who made him feel alive every time he was around her and every time he kissed her. Jina may not love him now but she could learn, right?

Sungjin couldn’t give up on her just yet, especially when she was the one who made the pain go away with one simple touch.

Brian:

When he walked down the school’s hallways it was natural for people to move to the side. Most students didn’t want to be near him and preferred to deal with him when it was necessary, take gym class for instance. Brian Kang was the resident bad boy of his school, a reject, the infamous outcast. He had many things said about him over the years, many things he would learn to let go eventually.

He didn’t know how the news got out, but one day during his time in middle school his friends suddenly turned their backs on him, calling him a criminal’s son. That same evening when he arrived home with tears in his eyes, it was confirmed by his distraught mother that the other children’s words were true. Brian Kang was the son of a criminal and no one wanted to be friends with the child of a bad guy. His father had been arrested for a crime.

Brian kept his eyes straight ahead, the whispers of girls commenting about his appearance entered one ear and exited the other. He didn’t care for a tidy uniform and a stuffy appearance, as long as he wore what the school gave him it shouldn’t matter how it was presented.

“Did you hear? Brian almost attacked Sungjin during a basketball game.” One guy whispered. That made him stop in his tracks and turn his gaze to the person who said it. The boy and his friend froze under his glare leaving Brian to smirk and shake his head as he continued walking.

Word traveled fast around the school. He found it humorous that the issue with Park Sungjin during the basketball game earlier was already twisted as if it was his fault. He was used to being blamed first over anyone else, Brian was always the wrong one in numerous situations.

“Watch it!” Brian spoke harshly when a body bumped into his. He hated when people didn’t watch where they were walking, he was a victim to numerous body bumps and when his dark eyes met theirs they immediately hurried away.

“Oh, I’m sorry!” The voice was familiar and when he finally got a good look at the girl who ran into him, his eyes softened. It was you, Y/n. You were the girl he watched cry the other night for whatever reason and the girl he found his eyes lingering after whenever he saw you.

“Oh, Brian…” You gave him a smile and he only stared, snapping out of it when your hand waved in front of his face.

“You alright?” You asked him and his eyes looked away. “Yeah, I’m fine, just be careful next time.” He said. He watched you give a nod before you continued on down the hall, coaching himself not to look after you this time. He should nip whatever feelings he was starting to have in the bud before they could develop any further, he was not meant for love, being alone suited him best.

His pants pocket vibrated fiercely keeping him still for a few minutes longer. Brian pulled out his cell phone to see a number without a name calling him. He sighed and swiped the screen to ignore it, only to receive a kakao message from the same caller.

Don’t ignore me, kid. I need you today, come outside I’ll be there in a few minutes.

Brian frowned, replying quickly.

I’m in school.

He answered and got ready to pocket his phone until it went off again.

Bzzt! Bzzt!

Stop giving me problems and do as I say.

Brian shoved his phone in his pocket and made his way to the front of the school, looking around to make sure no one saw him leave. A familiar rusty car pulled up off campus, an older guy waving Brian over for him to get inside. He powered walked toward the vehicle, checking over his shoulder to make sure there were no eyes peering from the school’s windows.

Snatching open the passenger door, Brian climbed in and shut it behind him, the driver speeding off.

“That’s my boy.” The older man spoke with the same grin Brian would see in the mirror. That grin belonged to his father, the man he hadn’t seen in weeks and the person he disliked the most. “I wouldn’t worry about school, for now, Bri you’re gonna end up like your old man anyway.” His father joked. Brian remained silent for a moment, rolling down the window to feel the breeze against his skin.

“What do you need me for?” He asked bluntly, his father only bothered him like this when he needed something important and usually what was important was some crime he was ready to commit.

“Just keep watch for me.” His dad answered him, causing Brian to roll his eyes in frustration. He should have stayed where he was, knowing his dad, things could become worse than they already were.

“There’s this punk who has owed me money for some time now, so I’m going to get it myself while he’s at work. Pay his house a little visit you see.”

Brian was silent, he only listened to his dad as he spoke. This was the man who was supposed to protect him and keep him out of trouble and yet here he was dragging him into it.

The task at hand had him on edge as he sat in the driver’s seat while his dad broke into the home of another man. Brian took a deep breath in and exhaled, his fingers tapping the steering wheel nervously. He could hear his heartbeat thumping in his ears while he checked out his surroundings praying no one would notice him or the robbery happening. He closed his eyes, trying to calm down, anxiety beginning to drown him.

Brian was not as bad as he seemed, he’d done some bad things here and there, hung around people who had done worse than him, but he really didn’t want to be this way. Deep down he knew he didn’t want to end up like his father, his goal was to be better than him, but it was hard to get rid of the negative stigma that surrounded him each day.

He squeezed his eyes shut trying to think of something positive and then she came to his mind.

Y/n.

She was the only person with a light around her compared to the rest of the world. Thinking of her in that moment eased his heart.

“Go, go, go!” The slam of the car door and his father’s panicked voice made him open his eyes, pressing down hard on the gas.

Wonpil:

Wonpil sat alone on the rooftop of the school, he kept his eyes straight ahead while holding a sandwich he made in the morning before he left home. He only took a small bite when he first sat down for lunch losing his appetite minutes later. There was a slight breeze passing by that made his hair tickle his forehead, dark eyes fixated on the door that led back into the school. Wonpil was waiting, waiting for anyone to show up though his heart knew no one would. He didn’t think that at the beginning of the school year he’d be eating lunch alone, Sungjin had always been there, Y/n had always been there and a couple of other mutual friends that dropped by from time to time.

He never imagined the day where he would end up friendless losing one after the other in just a week. Wonpil thought of the issue with Sungjin earlier which tore his heart in two, the boy had never been so cold to him. He thought about Y/n who wouldn’t meet his eyes or return his smile during classes. After the other night when her confession slipped through the cracks and he didn’t go after her, he knew he ruined something special.

Wonpil didn’t mean to be so caring, he didn’t realize that worrying so much about one friend led him to neglect the other. He recalled all the times he blew her off and talked about someone else instead of asking how she was doing, Y/n would always look to him with a smile and he was an oblivious fool who couldn’t tell she was hurting. He wanted her to be happy.

There was a time when all he thought about was her from the way she smiled to the way she laughed, especially because of him, but just like that when he thought the most important person to him was in need, his feelings for her cut off like a light switch and he thought it would be okay to turn them on again once Sungjin’s problems were solved. How stupid.

Kim Wonpil was a fool with his heart torn to pieces to the point where he wasn’t sure if he should try with anyone ever again.

When his eyes dropped from the door he heard it open, teary eyes lighting up as someone stepped over the threshold. His expression dropped when it wasn’t either of his friends only a small acquaintance.

It was Yoon Dowoon with his headphones in his ears. He stared at Wonpil with a blank expression before throwing up his hand, signaling a “Hey”. Wonpil gave the male a brittle smile and looked down to the sandwich in his hands, trying to hold back his tears. He was so jumbled with emotions it was becoming hard to sort them.

Dowoon sat on the ledge of the roof quietly staring up at the clouds. When the sky faded from a bright blue to a gloomy gray he opened his mouth to speak.

“You know…” Dowoon started which slowly snapped Wonpil out of his somber daze. “Sometimes the person who tries to keep everyone happy is the loneliest...” he finished his sentence.

Wonpil turned to look at the raven-haired boy who stood up once he felt rain droplets. Dowoon didn’t make eye contact with Wonpil as he shoved his hands into his pockets and made his way back inside. Rain began to pour instantly without his presence and Wonpil remained sitting, his watery eyes watching the food in his hands become a soggy mess.

Dowoon’s words resonated with him, they were true. He wasn’t expecting a comment like that from someone who didn’t know him well, but maybe in the eyes of others he wasn’t that hard to read.

You had other friends besides Kim Wonpil, you met them first when you moved to the city in middle school and it was time to do a bit of reconnecting. You were hesitant as you slid open the door to their classroom. A few students turned to look at you, the two friends who you didn’t see much thanks to being placed in different classes, waved you over with a smile that had your heart breathing a sigh of relief.

“Look who it is!” One girl hopped off her desk to give you the biggest hug. “Hey, Alice…” You gave her a warm smile. Your other friend who went by the name of Roo gave a simple nod.

“Long time no see Y/n.” She smiled as she took a bite of her apple. The two were opposites, Roo was calm and laid back while Alice was a burst of energy. You were in the middle of their personalities.

You sat down in the empty seat near them with your lunch and placed it on the desk. “Where’s your boyfriend!?” Alice asked with a smile, her words surprising you.

“What boyfriend?” You answered her question with a question.

“That Wonpil kid, the one you like… you usually don’t come to our room to eat.” Roo answered, reaching over to give your cheek a pinch.

The mention of Wonpil made your heart sink and you fell silent as you opened your paper bag full of food. They knew Wonpil wasn’t your boyfriend but they liked to tease that he was since the two of you spent so much time together. Alice glanced at Roo and vice versa, then their eyes were back on you.

You skipped gym class to avoid playing any sport with him and in regular classes, you avoided eye contact. It was awkward now after the other night where you yelled at him and practically told him you loved him in so many words. You felt embarrassed to be around him which is why you were not going to be eating on the rooftop.

Wonpil probably didn’t miss you anyway, you figured he blew off your argument still keeping Sungjin on his mind.

“Ah well…” You thought hard about how you could explain the complicated situation of unrequited love to them, unsure of where to start.

Alice twisted a strand of curly hair around her fingertip and reached over to give your back a gentle pat. “You don’t have to say anything Y/n. You can tell us when you’re ready.”

“Yeah, and if he needs his ass kicked, I’m down for the job,” Roo added with a grin and you knew she was serious.

“Roo please, it’s fine.” You gave them a genuine smile. Maybe things would work themselves out sooner or later.

The next day was off to a better start for you, the issue with Wonpil didn’t plague your mind the moment you woke up leading you to eat a healthy breakfast and leave for school on time. When you got to class just about everyone had filed in but Wonpil’s seat was empty. He was usually there early with Sungjin so it was a bit unusual to not see him there at all. You weren’t going to worry about him though at least that’s what you told yourself earlier.

Classes went by in a flash and Wonpil never showed up, not even the following day and the room started to feel odd without him.

“Sungjin… have you seen Wonpil?” You asked him through the cracks of a book shelf. You were searching for a nice spot to study in the library when you came across him alone without his best friend by his side.

“No,” Sungjin responded, his chocolate eyes peering at yours before they fell to the book in his hands.

“I haven’t spoken to him in a couple days.” His tone seemed so off to you, so uncaring which had you worried. Wonpil was slowly crumbling over losing Sungjin and with you only sparing a few seconds to speak to him, knowing he had no idea of where his friend is and if he’s okay, maybe Sungjin was officially lost.

“Okay, thanks...” It took everything you had to keep your attitude in check, deciding to walk away and gather your things. You needed to know if Wonpil was okay even if Sungjin didn’t care..

You hurried down the hallways of the school, trying to avoid a collision with other students as they made their way toward the exit. School had officially wrapped up for the day. You pulled out your cell phone to send a text to Wonpil who had a habit of answering within seconds but this time he didn’t. Maybe because of what happened between you two.

Your body ran into someone and you immediately apologized, getting a look at the person’s face. It was Brian and you smiled at him, apologizing again but unlike the last time you ran into him he shot you a cold glare and as he turned to walk away you caught a glimpse of a cut on his cheek.

Brian walked away from you so fast you couldn’t ask what happened but if you saw him again at some point you knew you’d ask then.

It took fifteen minutes to get to Wonpil’s house from the school and he was at least ten minutes away from yours. When you arrived, you gave his door several knocks waiting for someone to answer. His older sister came to the door with a purse on her shoulder as if she was getting ready to leave.

“Oh, Y/n. What are you doing here?” She asked you with a smile.

“Wonpil... he hasn’t been to school for two days so I got worried.” You answered her, peering behind her to see if you could get a glimpse of him.

“He didn’t tell you?” She raised her brow a bit confused. “Wonpil’s been pretty sick with a bad cold. I thought you knew… which reminds me I haven’t seen Sungjin either. He’s usually over here trying to give my brother some shitty homemade soup.” She laughed, stopping when she caught your expression.

She didn’t know the issues between all of you and it was better that way, you weren’t going to bring it up.

“Ah right! I just came to check on him.” You smiled as she stood back to let you in, hoping she’d ignore what you said previously.

“Sure thing. I’m off to work my parents are not home as usual so I’m a bit relieved you’re here. You can take care of him for a bit.” She grinned as she shut the door behind her. You slipped off your shoes and glanced around the room. It was quiet which made you assume Wonpil was upstairs.

You made your way up the stairs to his room quietly with your backpack, giving his door gentle knocks before you entered. Wonpil sat up in bed quickly when he saw your face. He looked rough and he immediately snatched a twisted piece of tissue out his nose.

“Y/n… what are you doing here?” He asked, trying to fix his disheveled hair.

You gave him a little smile and sat on the edge of his bed. “Well, you weren’t at school… I got worried.” You answered him.

Wonpil tried his best to conceal his coughing, turning his head from you while he coughed harshly.

“I’m fine, or I will be in another day… hopefully.” He smiled his usual smile at you and your heart couldn’t help but skip a beat. Those feelings were still there, they wouldn’t fade so quickly.

“Liar... but I hope you get over this cold soon. You have some school work to catch up on. Our math teacher has been going wild with pop quizzes.” You laughed when Wonpil’s faced dropped, he disliked math the most.

“That sucks.” He chuckled and then fell silent. The silence carried on for a few minutes until his voice broke through it.

“I’m sorry Y/n….” Wonpil apologized, making you look him in the eye. “For being a shitty friend.” He added.

“I’m sorry too.” You returned the same apology. “For that night when I stormed off.” You were going to leave it at that, there were no details to sort through, just a simple sorry was enough for you.

“How did you get a cold anyway? You never get sick.” You said with a laugh, it was true, Wonpil was the one who always visited you on sick days.

“Germs got the best of me for once.” He laughed it off, you didn’t need to know that he spent time crying in the rain.

On your way home after taking care of Wonpil, you called your mom to assure her you were almost there, passing through the park. It was dark out and you didn’t want her to worry. When you hung up the call you noticed a figure sitting on the swing set with his head down. You slowed your steps to get a good look at the person, the street lights hitting his face just right. It was Brian and he had a large bag next to him.

“Hey…” You called out to him as you approached, he raised his head to look at you and you noticed his face bruised under his right eye, it was on the same side you saw the cut earlier.

“Brian… are you okay?” You asked him, worried as you stopped next to him. He nodded his head and gave a defeated chuckle, turning away from you. “I’m fine, go home. Bad people come out here at night, remember?”

You did remember him telling you that before. But if bad people came to the park at night, why was he here? He could get hurt, too right?

“You don’t look fine… how did you get that bruise? Was it a fight...?” You didn’t feel nervous at all about asking him these sorts of questions. Most people in your school feared Brian, for a long time you heard he had been an outcast but you weren’t the person to treat people as such no matter the rumors.

“Why do you care...?” He turned to look at you again but this time with a glare, the one he’d always give to people to chase them away but you weren’t going to budge. You saw right through it.

“Well, maybe it’s because you cared that one night… when you saw me crying. I was grateful that you were even there.” You answered him.

Brian scoffed and shook his head but remained silent, prompting you to speak again.

“I think everyone deserves someone to hear them out when they’re sad…” You added, diverting your eyes to the full moon.

Brian sat in silence for a few moments longer before sighing. “I did get into a fight but with my dad…things aren’t great at home they haven’t been for a while… we fought and I left.” He explained.

Your eyes glanced down to the bag next to him and you realized it was filled with clothes.

“I’m sorry…” You apologized, feeling horrible that he had that kind of altercation with a parent..

Brian shrugged. “I’m used to it….” He stood up from the swing and reached down to pick up his bag, slinging it over one shoulder.

“So where are you going now…?” You asked him curiously as he turned around, ready to leave you.

“I’ll figure something out.” He answered you, refusing to look you in the eye any longer.

Your heart guided you to reach out to him, you couldn’t leave a person to be in this kind of situation. Your hand landed on his arm and Brian turned to look at you with surprise, his eyes glistening in the moonlight.

“Come home with me. I don’t think my mom will mind. You can have a safe place to rest tonight.” You smiled as you tugged him toward you.

“Y/n…. I.” You knew he was about to protest but you ignored him. Brian Kang wasn’t your friend he was more of an acquaintance who knew what to say in your time of need but you hoped this was the start to a nice friendship.

“Let’s go.” You practically dragged him along for the first bit of your walk home but then he gently pulled his arm out of your grasp to walk along side of you.

“Mom I’m home!” You called out to your mother who peeked around the corner after she heard you enter, surprised to see a boy in her home so late.

“This is my friend Brian he’s having a bit of trouble… is it okay if he stays the night? We could prep him a place on the couch.” You spoke quickly hoping she wouldn’t say no. Brian’s eyes and yours widened when she easily agreed.

“No problem, it’s nice to meet you Brian. Make yourself at home, I’ll fix you a meal.” Her smile was warm as she disappeared into the kitchen, leaving Brian to stare after her. He saw firsthand where you got your kindness from.

Dinner was awkward between the three of you at first until your mom made things lighter, clearing the air with embarrassing stories of you as a child. You saw Brian laugh for once, revealing a gorgeous smile you were sure had your own mother swooning.

Bed time arrived and you were satisfied at the setup of blankets and pillows along the couch which seemed comfortable enough for the boy to sleep on. “Bri-” His name didn’t fully leave your lips as you turned around to see him so close to you, running a towel through his wet hair. He looked refreshed and comfy in gray sweats and a baggy t-shirt. He smelled nice too, his aroma making your cheeks flush.

You cleared your throat and smiled. “Well, goodnight see you in the morning.”

Brian nodded and plopped down on the couch. “Thanks, Y/n...” His lips curled into an appreciative smile, you could tell how genuine he was, his look softer than usual.

“You’re welcome, sleep tight…” You backed out of the room and headed for the stairs, peeking one more time at him as he laid down.

You fell asleep feeling accomplished and were glad that he was safe downstairs.

The next morning when you awoke you headed downstairs to find the blankets neatly folded in the living room but Brian Kang was gone.

let me introduce each member to you first! and then I will recommend you some video to check out in order to know them more!

in day6 we have Sungjin, Jae, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon

Sungjin is the leader of Day6, in charge of vocal and guitar, also known as Bob and the dancing king, and he is like the Dad of Day6, always taking care of his uncontrollable kids.

Jae is the oldest in Day6 and he is in charge of vocal and guitar. he has various nickname such as sweg chicken, chicken little, and he is also the king of twitter(he just recently got his twitter back we are living)

Young K is in charge of bass, vocal and rap in Day6. However, he is also capable of playing guitar and the synth. Ane he has one of the most stable high note I’ve ever heard. He wrote/participated in all day6 songs in the new Sunrise album!

Wonpil who has a really unique voice is in charge of the piano and the synth. He is also known as the aegyo king and wink king in the group! He has a really cute personality and you can slowly find his charm as you know Day6 more

Dowoon is the maknae of the group and the drummer! Although he is not in charge of vocal in the group, he is taking vocal lessons rn and sang a bit in their new song! He is sometimes a shy baby, but he is actually a really cute ray of sunshine!

DAY6 Imagines: Once/Twice Series’ Special Chapter (5/FINAL)

Pairing: Brian x Reader Word count: 2,565

Read: Once is a coincidence. Twice is not. , Once is enough. Twice is too much. and Special chapter (1) , (2) , (3) & (4) first before reading this :)

“Success is the best revenge. Because they see you climbing up the ranks and they’re like ‘Oh, I messed up’” You clenched your jaw as you were listening to that familiar voice on the radio when your workmate suddenly turned it off.

Things between the both of you changed since you opened up to her. She even helped you hide when you saw Brian approaching the coffee shop few months ago. Just how she used to talk about them always, she’s now helping you ease the pain by making you go back to your senses when you’re starting to be drifted away by the stream of feels you’re having. And one of those is turning off the radio when Jae made you think their success right now is kind of a revenge for you.

Other times she’d grab your phone away from you when she catches you reading some theories and opinions from fans. A lot is blaming you, hate you for hurting Brian. Others thank you because whatever happened, it’s thanks to you that Brian gets to write these beautiful songs; even if they’re mostly painful. But the thing is, they don’t actually know that the “ex-girlfriend” that they always talk about exists. Some even talk about how you might be regretting right now for leaving him.

You all don’t know what happened. You all don’t know the reason why we broke up. I never wanted to break up! You felt a pat on your shoulder which made you look up.

“You’re thinking about what the fans are talking about again, aren’t you?”

With another comeback, not to mention that this one’s not like any other, more theories and opinions raised up. The year has just started and they came back with a project which is to release two songs every month for the whole year.

And for the first title track that they released few days ago, another breakup topic raised. Talking about how confused the band was. Saying congratulations to an ex for leaving, saying they’ll finally let go and now they found themselves still waiting in the same place waiting for the girl to hold their hand but then still wanting to let go despite all of the memories are frozen in them. But of course, most of these questions and topics refer to Brian.

Regret, huh? Of course you regret not being by his side. But knowing they’re having a project like this made you think that what you did is right. If they were busy before, they’re much busier right now. You can’t help but think and be worried if he can still manage to balance his time and if he can still study for exams or does he stay up night before them.

But that belief of being able to accept your situation right now dimmed seeing Ayeon sitting next to Brian. He smiles a lot. And his eyes seem to be soft. Unlike when he was singing Congratulations and Letting Go. His smile doesn’t wear off his face when talking to her. But he’s just like that to everyone.

You wanted to smack yourself because you kept on quarrelling with your mind—like you want to justify every action he does; like you want to convince yourself there’s nothing to be jealous of. And you wanted to at least murmur your thanks because he talks more to the radio host than to the girl beside him. But suddenly, you wanted to whack your laptop’s monitor when they whispered to each other. So close!

You bit your lip when they’re about to sing together. She really has a nice voice and she’s really pretty. You were somehow fine at first but when he faced her while she was singing, you wanted to make a portal on the screen and stand between them. He even bit his lower lip! What the hell?!

The song was about the ‘shouldn’t have’s’ of a guy to a girl; the misleading actions and keeping the hopes up. Typical Brian. Then it made you wonder if Ayeon was thinking about Brian while singing this. Are they on this page?

Stop closing your eyes while she’s singing for Pete’s sake! (a/n: listen to You Were Beautiful)

You found yourself waiting for midnight after a few weeks. You refreshed the YouTube when the clock stroke 12 AM. Your fingers were trembling when you clicked play. Your heart danced together to the rhythm of the guitar.

What I’m saying right now Doesn’t mean that we’re starting up again I’m just bringing back The remaining memories of you

Jae’s eyes were the same; sentimental as always. Your chest squinched up as you furrowed your brows. Is this the same girl? Your hands were cold as ice and your heart was hot by being compressed so tight. This is about memories again?

You exhaled sharply when the next thing you saw was his face and next thing you heard was his voice; with a different kind of feels.

Without missing a single day You told me that you love me Before I went to bed As soon as I opened my eyes You told me I remember so I’m just saying

Your lips quivered; tears trailed down your face. Your skin became rough and small bumps appeared. His melancholic voice sent shivers down your spine. His face was peaceful; different from their past music videos.

Is this finally it?

Is this really the same girl? Or they just look so much alike? You were starting to feel more nervous. What if it’s connected with Congratulations? Wonpil and Sungjin’s expression didn’t help either; even Dowoon’s. They all look sentimental.

What the hell, Bob?! Stop singing! You covered your mouth and nose with both hands, trying to preclude any noise to come out from your mouth. You clutched your chest as your breathing became heavier.

It’s really her, isn’t it?! You tried to inhale some air for you couldn’t seem to breathe anymore. When the scene changed into the girl being inside a Karaoke room, you became sure that it’s really her. This one even came from the Congratulations MV. Seriously, what’s happening?

When Brian sang a part again, the guy from Congratulations finally made his appearance on the new music video. Still, the clip was from the former MV. You couldn’t restrain your cries anymore that you even let out a scream of pain. You didn’t mind if people will hear you crying at midnight.

There’s the guitar, the ramen and the Chopper hat again. He looked really peaceful. Does this mean he’s already over you? Is this his way of telling me he has finally moved on? Is this his way of telling me that he doesn’t feel pain from our memories anymore but only see them as a beautiful reminiscence? Is this really the end now?

I still think of you sometimes Should I call you up? There were a lot of times I thought that but Baby I know it’s already over

You wanted to cuss at Jae. How dare he answer the question in your head? D*mn! It’s really over now? Is it? Can I please take them all back? It’s almost 2 years now, is it already too late? You kept on wondering and asking yourself; if you pull those swords that you’ve stabbed, will you be able to heal and close all the wounds that you’ve caused?

You cried for an hour before checking their fans’ reaction. All of them were emotional, too. A lot of people also cried like you but no one could ever feel the same pain as what you’re feeling right now.

But there were people talking about them being confused as they always are (talking about the message of their songs). They were talking about the side track, so you then proceeded to search for it; as if you’re not yet hurting enough. Just how much do you love to torture yourself?

It took you by surprise when he was the one who sang the first part. And it was even about saying sorry. The title track was like telling you you’re just a memory but this one is like telling you if he could still hold you even for just a day.

Does he want to see and hold me for one last time before he could finally let me go? Is this what he’s asking for?

You bit your lip when a phrase made your remember the day that he was on his knees, with tears strolling down his face, as you walk away from him not even looking back.

When you were leaving me I shouldn’t have let you go

All these ‘would have’s’ made you run to a place of your memories in the middle of the night. What are you even doing? Are you already out of your mind? Who in their right mind would run at midnight crying just to go that memorable place? It’s not like you’re going to see him there waiting for you anyway. It’s midnight.

But you couldn’t just care less anymore. You want everything back. You want him back.

You just stood at the seaside promenade, facing at the bay. You can still remember every detail that happened that night. When he held your wrist and told you to stay, his soft gazes, the feeling of having his arms wrapped around you, his mushy lips on your head; all of it.

As you were reminiscing every remnant of memories with him, you suddenly stiffened. Your heartbeat increased in speed. You slowly exhaled a soft breath. You didn’t bother turning back but you knew for sure, he’s there.

Moments after, warm arms enveloped you from behind. A head snuggled on your shoulder as you slowly closed your eyes to let yourself be engulfed in his warmth. No one bothered to speak.

As your heart finally had its speed in constant when it found a familiar comfort from the man enclosing you in his arms, you gathered some strength to utter things you wanted to tell him. But before you could even speak, you heard him whisper “Finally”.

Turned out that every time they release a song, he’d always go to this place hoping to see you and hold you tight. But of course you didn’t know. Finally what? Finally you held me once more and then you’ll finally be able to let me go? You bit your lip as you remember the lyrics of their side track for this month. You swallowed and let out a soft breath.

“I’m—I’m sorry, Bri.” A breath escaped from your mouth once again “I—I really regret everything. I should’ve—“ You squeezed your eyes tight as you try to tell yourself to get to the point. “Can you please not let me go? Can you please love me again?”

Your heartbeat started to rise again as you anticipate his answer. It was a minute of silence; a minute of torture.

“I only loved you once, it’s never gonna be twice”

You felt your world crumble. From that very instant, you wanted to vanish or turn into stone to not feel this extreme pain you’re feeling right now.

Then what is this? Why is he hugging you? Is this just another misleading action? Is this just to console you because he’s going to let you go after this? Is this just what the song has said—that he got to let go but he wants to go back even just for one more time?

You cluster some energy together to raise your hand and pull his arms away but he held you tighter. You wanted to slap him so bad. How could he? He’s not even going to love you again but he’s doing this.

You shut your eyes and a tear escaped. You felt his breath as he felt your tear.

“Because the moment I loved you, I never stopped and I don’t think I’ll be able to” You flipped your eyes open when he started speaking again “It only grows stronger each day even when you were away. So I cannot love you again because I have always been loving you. And all I can do is just to love you more”

Your shoulders were shaking as you began to sob. You felt him squeezed you tighter to his embrace. What did you ever do to deserve him? What did you ever do to be loved by him? What did you ever do for him to still love you even if you left and hurt him? You cannot be thankful enough to have him. Words cannot express how much you are grateful right now.

“I’m sorry” You hiccupped “I’m sorry—“ He shushed you and made you face him. You shook your head as his gaze laid on you “I just wanted to—“

“I understand”

With mouth agape, you stared into his eyes. ‘I understand.’ You finally heard it.

“But a break isn’t what I need; being away from you is not the answer” He started wiping your tears “What I need is your lap for my head to rest on when I’m tired; your voice to fill my ears to comfort my soul that no music nor anyone else’s voice could do; your shoulder for me to lean on when I’m feeling weak; your hands to push me forward when I feel like giving up; your eyes that convey your thoughts that you believe in me; your lips to utter words that I need to hear; your arms to wrap around me when I feel alone; your feet to take every step with me in this journey; and your heart that loves me like no one else does.”

He pulled you to his embrace and you let your heart cry out. You wanted to mentally grab your hair and slap your face for being so stupid to leave him. It’s been tough for him and during those times, you weren’t beside him. It was you who needed the most but it was you whom he couldn’t hold close.

You were murmuring your apologies as you were snuggling on his chest when he pulled away and tilted your head for you to meet his eyes.

“If you’re truly sorry, I need you to do this one thing. I don’t just want you to promise this but to actually do this”

You swallowed the lump in your throat as you hastily nodded your head. Another batch of tears fell down your face as you tried to let your gaze stay on his eyes.

“Walk with me until the end”, he said softly; eyes were hopeful.

Finally, you smiled genuinely. You slowly nodded and your smile grew wider when you saw him heaved a sigh of relief. His eyes glittered as he beamed.

To guarantee it, he sealed that commitment with locking his lips with yours. You smiled as you felt like melting. This is where you belong; this is home and you’re finally back.

IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU COULD CONTINUE TO READ THE NOTE :) MUCH LOVE So it’s finally over :) Thank you for being with me in this journey. Lol. I never actually planned on writing imagines—I used to write stories but since I never really believed in myself and I’m just good with starting and bad with finishing things, I stopped. And I never ever really wrote a reader x artist kind of story.

As I’ve said before, this was kind of outburst of emotion because a mutual and I were like ‘attacking’ each other with tweets of what would Brian say if he caught you looking. Days before that happened, I tried to read some fanfics but I never really got the “feeling” that the character was Brian, Jae or whoever it was because it felt like it’s a different person. Then I saw this mutual tweet something like that, too. So it made me really want to write the scenes that’s been playing in my head since our youngest sister also told me the day before that to write stories again (because she was my first reader before)

So the reason why there are chapters 1 & 2 and 5 special chapters is because I only planned on writing only one and that’s the Once is a coincidence, twice is not ; because it somehow came from experience, too. But then since I wrote the story as I tried to make Brian’s character stay, some friends (and myself) feel attacked when Day6, especially Brian, drops something. Example, the “mwa” and the picnic scene. It made us think about the FF because as they’ve said, they could feel that it was really Brian. That made me write another chapter. And I thought of stopping there. But… every time I take the bus and listen to Day6 songs, scenes would flash in my mind—the chapters were sweet, it needs a conflict. So the first chapter was still sweet, I made them official couple but the next chapter I made them breakup. Lol. So I said Im gonna stop at Special Chapter 3 because I already have the ending in mind--but I wanna use the Letting Go and I Would/It Would Have Been songs; and as you can see I made them sing Im Serious song and unreleased one just like the eyeless on the chapter 2 (was it chapter 2?) but then after almost 2 years, "every day6 project" happened.

As you can see there are a lot of plot holes, too. And this plot is so overused, simple girl and a popular guy; but I just wanted to make it feel like they are really them that I even used Jae’s exact lines (lobster, success and dumb mistakes lines), also I even used some scenes that happened irl and Bran’s hashtag from IG #walkwithmeuntiltheend.

Sorry also for making the special chapters 2-5 emotional; did I overdo it? It’s just that I need to write a story that happened for almost 2 years in 7 chapters. (It’s more than 2 years actually but let’s start from the breakup): Breakup (April) – 5 months (September) – Congratulations – few weeks, + 5 months = March – Letting Go – the rest of the month were skipped – “the year has just started” (9 months passed) – I wait and Goodbye winter description – Waiting for midnight: February – end (20 months?) So I can’t help but push through it because the scenes won’t just leave my mind; they just flowed in my head when I listened to Day6 (So when the certain song played, the scenes I used in this story were the exact scenes in my head while I’m riding a bus, listening to Day6)—and because of this, I can never listen to Habits the same way again. I used to really jam with it, moving a lot and dance to it, but now it has an emotional impact to me. If I did the same to you… Sorry. Haha. So there you go. I never actually thought that many would like this and it made me so overwhelmed. UNLOCK by DAY6

tl;dr, I don’t remember where I was when this first came out because I was on a break from kpop social media but, however, I do remember where I was when I first listened to I Just (the only song to ever exist), as it was an extremely transformative experience for me. This is such a well-rounded, clear, diverse album that keeps Day6′s usual style while adding extra juicy elements for the more hard-rock inspired Japanese market.

without further ado here’s why I love ever single song on this album, written like ive been imprisoned inside stan twitter for 5 years and can’t get out unless i review this album

Live Your Life: day6 japanese songs hit differently they really do. this one is an a1 prime rib example. the rolling drum (?) woosh sound right before the chorus is so sos os nice and all of the parts of this song are different feeling but still fit together completely seamlessly as expected. LISTEN, HOW THEY HAVE A GUITAR SOLO? WITH THE WOAHHHs at EVERY chorus. jae’s guitar is the backbone of this album and our society as you will read about further on if you ever get to my review of i just…….. and this song is NO different. also the lyrics are so pure. thank u kings of confidence. i gotta also talk about the outro to this song its so fucking beautiful. all the voices singing together is such a chef kiss mwah

Breaking Down: ive seen a lot of ppl (more than i expected?) cite this song as their fave day6 song and i mean valid. its day6’s harder rock side.. its reminds me a lot of how can i say and its very very good if thats your thing. also everytime mr k does the IM BREAKING DOWWN live its . very lovely thank you. its so so angsty i can feel the angst for miles with this one. when jae says “hearts never break the same” mkmfdnjgajk. yeah. this is one of the songs where u think its over but it ISNT!!!!!!! the guitar muting in the bridge fake outro whatever is so delicious i am a sucker for a good guitar muting rhythm technique can someone pls tell me what thats called im illiterate anyways it STARTS UP AGAIN the hecking guitar solo….. ladies and gentlemen…..

Stop the Rain: instrumental wise, this is a really really fun song… the scale up and down or whatever it is with synth + guitar in the verses and at the end of the chorus… very spicy indeed. i honestly think wonpil is the star of the show in this one bc its a really not aggressive but beat heavy?? song and wonpils softer voice really contrasts it nicely i think. i also love love LOVe the second verse with the minimal instrumental (of course i do) and then it goes into guitar solo mode.. i feel liek this album more than any other day6 album goes the hardest with the guitar solos thank you jae. also this song has wooaahs. guitar solo ✅, instrumental space ✅, woaaaahs ✅ but theres no guitar muting we’re almost there..

Say Hello: this song makes me smile. the punchy guitars, bubbly drums, wait actually the first time wonpil says “my girl” i teared up a little ouch…….. :((((((((((((((( so cute…. the bright lil woo ooooh ooohs in the chorus SO cute… its such a dreamy song and the lyrics are so nostalgic feeling its such a sweet song in general its abt like letting go but finding peace with it and wishing the other person well and its a really beautiful meaning. omg its like the opposite to hi hello njsdfdnkj theory?????

Everybody Rock: we are now in the ROCK zone everybody now . now COME ON keep it going now !!!!!!! 1 2 3 go!!!!! i absolutely adore the way the guitars fade out in the verses when the vocal lines start and its just a lil bass a lil drum. if theres one thing i love more than guitar muting its silence in music.. it really really makes songs great when theres some space left over i truly believe that. anyways this song has both thank u kings. jae’s prechorus with differnet members joining in is so nice as it gradually builds up more and more. extra important detail all the lives i can find of this they look like theyre having so much fun. also dowoon….. i truly believe i can be a rockstar bc of him. im in tears. the ending just lets it all sink in the extra 8 bars or whatever of extra instrumental very very nice addition thank you

I Just: i am truly sorry in advance for this im not gonna stop talking. musically,, this song is pretty simple (except for the guitar in the chorus, i’ll get there) but tonally, vibe-wise, on the feel good scale, this song is a 35 million absolutely fucking fantastic song. i love this song perhaps a little too much. i would like to speak briefly on jae’s guitar fill. if i could name my firstborn child after a sound byte it would be that one and you all know it very well. if i ever meet jae im gonna personally thank him for this and ask if i can get his guitar’s autograph. the fact the guitar gets louder in the last chorus with the vocals overtop of it too yum.. this song makes me miss a lover i nevr had or something but also feel like im falling in love and rolling down a grassy hill and staring into a sunset at the same time its like every single possible positive emotion for me. THE HEYYYY AHHHS . make me so inexplicably happy i love them with all my heart. ALSO you know how i said i love silence this song has it too!!!!!!!! with the faded guitar right before the last instrumental break !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! also again not to be a young k stan but u know i need to plug the 18125 i just nagoya young k fancam its in my genetics i will not apologize. he looks so happy i love . i listen to this song on a daily basis and you cannot stop me from doing so. if i get cloned and u have to figure out which charlie is the real one see which ones heartbeat starts getting faster by hearing the guitar riff then youll know.

Nobody Knows: the beginning of this song is the true modern mona lisa. i could listen to the guitar and drum before any vocals hit forever i am not gonna lie. this really reminds me of old 5sos in a way and i really like it.. gives me a lot of nostalgia from being a 14 year old (no i’m not a 5sos stan but listen to their new album it’s really good). absolutely very fun but probably also really sad if the lyric “please i dont wanna cry” says anything … yep ok. i forgot how much i love the bridge of the song listening to it now its really different to the rest of it its so so nice. very very good. i dont listen to this one as much as some from the album but i still love it a lot,, theres something about it thats a little haunting in a good way its like that buzzfeed unsolved episode where the ghost named apple tater visits them.

Falling: this song gets you because you think its gonna be a full soft ballad but it still has a rock heavy influence! this album is a LOT of more hard or classic sounding rock and i really like the direction they took it in! can i please talk about the bass riff RIGHT before the end of the verse its those little extra bits that are added in that make a song so much better and thats prime example. I’m not the biggest fan of the chorus of this song for some reason i feel like theres a little bit of something missing but the haunting synth that kicks in and gets more prominent all the way through the song is very very nice and adds to the whole acoustic rock (somehow??? they have the Range) vibe.

If ~また逢えたら～: this song was their debut japanese song and she has a very special place in my heart. it reminds me of a very specific time in my life. also its a fun one bc i always try to guess whether its the instrumental or the original version when it comes on shuffle (i have both saved lol). i love love LOVe the guitar at the between vocal lines in the chorus its so fucking juicy… you know what else we have is rapper k which as u know i go crazy over.. the instrumental version is young ks rap karaoke version. very very good. i think this passage from my old review of this (if you know, you know) sums it up ladies: and i honestly think youngks rap part just brings the song back to day6′s style!! like i dont think many other bands would have brought it down to that u know??? and i love it…. the instrumental in this is also so crunch !! its so aggressive but like the type of aggressive that snowstorms are on a weekday… bc they basically just showed up without warning, rendered us immobile,, but all in all we’re PUMPED that it happened.

Baby, it’s okay: this song is not my favourite song of day6’s, i think it’s lacking in some oomph for my ears, HOWEVER !! and this is a big however I really love the bridge and the lyrics and that makes up for it. also the “i want you to be happy” and “ill always be here for you” is so adorable truly.

anyways we all know this day6 has no bad songs, unlock is no exception.
