nobara and yuji help you pack; to say the least, you're nervous. a whole week with someone you barely know. you stuff your clothes haphazardly into the bag, barely listening to anything they're saying.

"no, sorry yuji," you reply automatically.

"he said, inumaki may be a bitch and a brat sometimes, but he's a good guy," nobara tells you helpfully.

you raise an eyebrow. "a good guy, yet you called him a bitch and a brat in the same breath."

"hey, i'm just being honest!" nobara tosses another pair of jeans at you. "this'll do. close it, yuji!"

you smile at the sight of them — two of your best friends — even as their chatter dissolves into giggling and hitting each other on the shoulders. "i'm really lucky to have you guys," you say aloud.

"what's all this sappy bullshit?" questions megumi from behind you. "since when do you like us?"

"y'know, just saying. in case i get murdered at inumaki's."

megumi groans unamusedly, but hands you a bag anyways. "snacks for later."

saying goodbye to them feels like you're getting married in the 1950s and leaving your parents' home forever, even though you'll be gone for a week at most, and you already know you'll be texting them all day. still, it's extremely nerve-wracking to spend even an hour in the same place as inumaki, alone. megumi drives you there, a surprising gesture considering he's always on your ass for not driving yourself. and then he's leaving again, and you're standing at the doorstep of an enormous penthouse like you're homeless, ringing the doorbell while you pray to be struck down by something else — you're not really sure what.

toge inumaki opens the door, and from the start it's clear that he's not expecting you. his hair — or what can be seen of it, anyways — is messy, and he looks like he's just woken up. (is he even wearing pants?) his eyes widen when he sees you. "shit, this early?"

"i think i'm exactly on time," you reply coldly.

"what?" he fishes his phone out of his pants pocket — to your relief, he is wearing shorts — and checks the time. "oh what the hell, i overslept."

"yeah..." you don't feel quite as enthusiastic.

"um, i'll show you to your room, and then we can draft out the formatting when i have breakfast."

breakfast? it's a little past three in the afternoon, but oh well. he shuts the door, then clears his throat. you turn to look at him, and your heart jumps up to your throat. he's pulled the hood down to reveal his pale, messy hair, and you forget who he is just long enough to register the fact that he's terribly attractive, even with the bedhead and puffy eyes. and then you remember that he's a stuck-up loser prick, and the thought is forced away from your mind. "yeah?"

"it's just comparing our routines, right?" he asks you. "for an entire week."

you nod, still speechless from the momentary revelation from half a minute ago. the heat on your cheeks refuses to dissipate.

Ongoing Series - Thai

Wandee Goodday (Sat YT) ep 8 of 12 - Why is it so good?! It’s unfair. Cause I know pain must be incoming. Also... Yak moved to the "rao" pronoun for his confession! SO ADORABLE!!!!! Can you see me kicking my feet and squealing with joy on this side of the screen? Well I am. 

Sunset X Vibes (Sat iQIYI) ep 2 of 12 - I think I'm finding this show a lot funnier than the show is trying to be. The pose in the doorway. The sparkle pants. The creaking of the leather. It’s all hilarious. The foot massage. So silly. Simultaniously, full of thirst. Yay! I like thirst. Not entirely sure why he’s dicking him around and not dicking him out but hey the tension is fun. Also the shot staging is very good. Very yaoi. Lin going to have so much power in this relationship once he starts trying on seduction for size. All just to say, it’s good and I’m enjoying it.

My Stand-In (Fri iQIYI) ep 9 of 12 - you know I'm enjoying it a lot, so a surprise to see a Star Hunter beat it out? It's just MosBank are SERVING classic BL and I am a sucker for that kinda smut. Back to Stand-In...

It’s sad and a little complicated and interesting. And I’m still enjoying it very much. But this episode was mostly a rehash of information we already had been given, it was slow. Although since the acting is so good in this particular show, I didn’t mind it as much as I might have in a pulp piece, for example. 

My Love Mix-Up Th (Fri YT) ep 3 of 12 - I’m very much enjoying this. Not quite as much as I initially enjoyed the JBL version. But I’m liking a lot. There’s something particularly high school teen YA angst about this IP. Even more so than something like Make it Right or Love Sick. It’s just the cringe reactions and the constant embarrassments and the roller coaster of emotions that each character goes through in every scene. I forgot how exhausting it is to be a teen.

We Are Cute (Weds iQIYI) ep 12 of 16 - We Are Cute continues to be very cute indeed. Honestly Phum doesn’t need to flirt with Peem, Peem is already in love. The learning about each other is fun, but the fact that Phum still constantly communicates via kissing is great. I love that we have a couple whose love language is smooches. TanFang endgame is my favorite, I fucking LOVE them. But... NO SINGING. Worst fake band ever? Place docked in BL standing this week for that alone.

Love Sea (Sun iQIYI) ep 2 of 10 - It's fine I guess? Trash watch here.

Knock Knock Boys (Thurs Gaga) ep 5 of 12 - It’s ridiculous and they're very cute and I kind of don’t know what’s going on. But the young one getting his first dildo and skipping with excitement was utterly adorable. And it is the first rep we’ve got for such a thing in this genre. So good on you little pulp!

Only Boo! (Sun YT) ep 11 of 12 - Everything felt a little rushed and oddly paced in this episode. Not entirely sure why K came back to him. Anyway, I hope it’s all explained in the finale.

Ongoing Series - Not Thai

At 25:00 in Akasaka AKA 25 Ji Akasaka de (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 10fin - I’ve made no secret about the fact that I haven’t been wild about this show.

Here’s a few things I enjoyed about the final episode: Uke initiated the sex scene!! Lots of tenderness. Long takes plus the absence of (and then very gentle introduction of) music. Unexpectedly high heat. Condom rep! The gayest bedroom layout ever. What I didn’t like: The absolute pinnacle of frustration for P'ABL on the other side of the screen wanting to grab the leads and shake them until their teeth rattled and scream "FOR THE LOVE, just TALK to each other!"  Oh but they are so cute and SO POLITE when the finally do reconcile! 

In conclusion:

A BL about the making of a BL where the famous one has a crush on the obscure one. It’s already been done.  Recently. By Japan. I would be tempted to say "better" but I didn’t like the first version either. At least this was less stalkery? Look, this show was fine. Just, in a word: cool, unengaging, and frustrating. OK that was 3 words. But they’re apt. A lackluster offering with a great ending. How to rate that? I despaired but ended up on 7/10 - do better Japan, I know you can.

Blue Boys (Korea YouTube) - it got its part 2, thank the BL gods, rounding this one into an 8 ep series. Still short (those eps barely scrape 10 min at most) but a solid little offering.

Charming reunion romance full of class + coming out struggles and great chemistry all of which was let down by a curtailed length. Had it just been given some legs, it could have grown wings and taken flight, but in the end it is simply too short. Still enjoyable and certainly worth your time. Cause ya don't need much of it. 8/10 RECOMMENDED

The Last Time (Thai Fri YT?) - Convoluted story of loss and possible reincarnation or something. Can't find it.

OMG Vampire (Thai Sun ???) 10 eps - I've put the search on hold for a bit and y'all can let me know if it's worth tracking down.

In case you missed it

I mean you were under a rock on Tues Jan 18th Thailand's senate passed the Marriage Equality Bill. As of typing this, the King still has to sign it into law, but he's unlikely to veto. So it's a matter of time before everything is official. Thailand follows Nepal (2024) and Taiwan (2019). Both of those were judicial, Thailand's is legislative.

Let's Eat Together Aki and Haru 2 AKA Aki wa Haru to Gohan wo Tabetai 2 Haime! (Japan movie) - Continued the (frankly) lackadaisical story from part 1 and was meant to drop yesterday. We thought maybe Gaga, but nothing so far.

The Time of Fever AKA Unintentional Love Story 2 (Korea movie) trailer released to Korean theaters 5/25. HoTae & DongHee, side couple from Unintentional Love Story are back! Same actors, same character names. I love them. Devastated this hasn't had international distribution.

First of all, I still haven't read TOG but my sister has, so I asked her.

Second, idk if anyone has noticed this… but Feyre and Rhysand both thought they were the most beautiful thing they laid their eyes on when it was night and under the stars. Cassian while she was under the moonlight and Nesta when they were at Court of Nightmare. But Lucien… he Thought Elain was the most beautiful female he'd ever seen when it was daytime and sunlight was streaming from the window! maybe it's a consequence but I love the detail nonetheless.

Third, 7.5 couples -expect for Manon and Dorian which their story ended with a cliffhanger- out of 9 are endgame... I don't see how Elucien is any different. (This might not seems a very strong reason but it's one of the many pattern sjm has for her endgames) Even when Chaol and Yrene are human, they have a very deep connection. (my sister's words hehe)

And last, I read somewhere that in the books we normally have the MCs to call the LI the most beautiful because in their eyes, they are. And I agree with that so much! Because they're in love, they're their person so that's why they're the most beautiful thing they've ever seen<3 and I think maybe that's why sjm keep using this phrase specifically.

Yeah anyway… I love how sjm copy+paste her mating bond (aka endgame) language.

my thoughts huh ... i sure am a rambler so you're gonna get a whole essay on this

i guess in thinking abt davejadekat it always starts with jade. which is well enough because davekat has been talked to death at this point, hasn't it? i don't think i could tell you anything new or interesting about that dynamic at this point.

ANYWAY. jade. i kind of get into this in my polar express fic which ik you've read, but she is SO lonely. what the fuck are you supposed to do for ~10 years alone on an island with just a dog?? a dog who could take you somewhere else, somewhere with people, but he won't. and maybe jade knows why because of her dreams on prospit, but also maybe not! either way i think she puts a lot of faith in her dreams. it's kind of the only hope she has for the future.

i think she also has some hope in dave, this really cool dude she has this awkward internet middle school crush on. and dave is super cool to her too! i think it's implied he furry roleplays with her even?? cutest shit ever. i think this is the thing that has made me always love davejade ... they are just. so sweet to each other. dave clearly cares SO much about her.

the other thing about jade is... she's kinda fucked over repeatedly by the narrative, isn't she? she's the last beta kid introduced, so she has a lot less time to develop. the closest she really gets to developing is being really pissed off at karkat after her dreamself dies (i'll talk about this in a sec). her arc basically ends at cascade. her character arc ends in the dead middle of the comic, in a flash animation that contains exactly 0 character development. hussie says so himself in the author's notes. (don't even get me started on the author's notes jesus christ.) everything that happens on the boat is pretty much irrelevant, because it gets retconned out. instead she spends 3 years completely fucking alone, and we like... barely unpack this in canon.

so her life story up until this point is basically: raised by grandpa till ~3-5ish > living on her own till 13 > meeting dave briefly in the game > DAVE FUCKING DIES IN FRONT OF HER, WITH HER OWN BULLETS > she meets john briefly > JOHN AND DAVESPRITE FUCKING DIE > she spends 3 years alone with no solace except "yeah they had to die but you'll see them again in the new session" from alt!calliope and i guess a bunch of sprites and consorts and chess dudes. she says it herself: as nice as it is to have these folks around, they're not able to relate to her. they're not fellow thirteen year old kids. she may not be technically alone, but she is essentially alone, and she just 1. died twice in one day and 2. witnessed the deaths of several of her friends.

more on being fucked over by the narrative - jade actually has a kind of interesting dynamic with karkat in the middle of a5a2! what happens with this dynamic later on? fucking nothing!!!! like seriously i am so interested in this whole. self-hatred parallel that gets drawn between them and then how jade puts her foot down and is like you are fucking nuts. no more yelling at yourself. and it goes nowhere!! this dynamic exists for like, maybe 1% of the comic. it's really fucking sad honestly. even at the very end of homestuck, she has to be sidelined for being too powerful, thereby excluding her from all the endgame convos. like we cannot win with her

ok anyway, here's where i get into the stuff i think is really interesting. at the end of homestuck, alt!calliope tells jade that she's suffered enough, and that it's time for her to live her life how she wants to. we don't see how this plays out in homestuck proper, BUT...... the epilogues. sighs heavily.

i may be an epilogues lover but even i have to admit that jade's portrayal is.... a mess. i don't think it's wildly out of character, exactly, but it definitely toes the line... and it's definitely extremely fucking uncomfortable. it does, however, give me some insight into how i think about jade now, because while the minutiae don't really feel in character, i do think the broad strokes of what they were going for make sense.

jade took alt!calliope's words and said, fuck it. i will take charge! i won't wait anymore! i am going to have what i want. and she does get a lot of that! she gets to hang out with her friends, hang out with her brother, meet a ton of people, have a bunch of sex (presumably when she's older), and so on. but see... doing a lot of things doesn't really fill the emptiness she feels. she has so much love to give and not enough outlet for it. she needs all the love in the world and has nobody to give it to her. and she still has this big fat ten-year-old crush on dave strider that never went anywhere. but the approach she takes to life now is just... so incompatible with what dave needs. same for karkat. they both need a LOT of patience to come out of their shells, and jade is living life in the fast lane. the more she pushes, the more withdrawn they become. it is a disaster.

i want to fix it so fucking bad.

jade needs a lot of character development for all this to work, but the dynamic is absolutely there. some of their convos in early meat are so fucking funny dude, they are such good friends. it is absolutely not for lack of caring on either dave or karkat's part that things don't work out in the epilogues. it's this disconnect between what jade thinks is helpful and what dave and karkat need. i really want jade to find the balance between living at breakneck speed and waiting ten years for something to happen. i want her to feel loved for once in her damn life. and i want dave and karkat to stop being such depressing shut-ins. please guys you could balance each other out if you would just figure out how to communicate

some backstory i fell in love w sumi as soon as her art was revealed i was like omfg peak design PEAKKKKKK i love her so much so i was really excited abt her but i feel like there were so many loose ends w her confidant and namely her crush on protag sometimes doing her a disservice (it turned ppl off from her (understandable bc i also dislike when writers make a female character out to be dependent on a male character) but also made other ppl weird abt her in the same breath....... shivers. people who overly-romanticize/sexualize mentally ill characters (especially girls/women) freak me out sorry

anyway that put me off frm p5 fandom for a hot minute. BUT regardless. i think people often focus on like "shy cute sadgirl kouhai crush-on-protag" for her which on top of atlus's.......mediocre handling of her also does her character a disservice... shes so multilayered!! she houses such insane convoluted levels of distress and fear and anger and reluctance and most of all STUBBORNNESS. i think her headstrong personality is not really emphasized in fandom but i can totally see it (maybe its just me but).

ok moving on to my shsm delusions i think to turn sumire's canon crush on its head i want to make them doomed to never get together. i think 3rd semester is so tense and high-emotion that royal trio are so deeply intertwined w each other:

like they all are mildly-to-a-lot suicidal so they hold onto each other so tightly to make sure none of them spirals and does anything bad. i think in the end they just want the other two to be Okay, even if they themself doesn't. if the other two are ok, then it's all good.

ok back to shsm LMAO i think seeing their relationship as like an odd high-emotion situation makes sense. they love each other, obviously, and provide each other comfort, but the idea of a relationship slips thru their fingers like water. is that right...? is that how it is? like i said up there they just crumble under the weight of their own love. tldr theyre in no place to "date" each other........ but they have their "almost." they're inseparable, they love spending time with each other, but knowing in the back of their heads that it won't last, and they'll have to leave it be one day. "sometimes when i really love someone i leave them alone forever." peak shsm to me. "let's run away together - but what if it's not enough? what if all of this fear and sadness still stays? i take a man down to the river and he throws away his sadness but hes still left with his hands, he's still left with the river (paraphrased richard siken). peak shsm to me. i think they try to treat eachother so softly and gently that it fucks it all up, actually. peak shsm to me. it's not codependency in the sense that theyre not trying to save each other - they're just trying to salvage out some love from it all. all of these terrible things that happened: there's still love, right? there's still love. but the pain can't all be sifted out, and everything still hurts. but they still love. (they just don't date or even talk to each other much after graduating and i think they talk to akechi but to each other its suddenly COMPLICATED. i hate these guys)

ironically i think if you throw akechi in the mix it stabilizes out and i think shuakesumi could totally have a happy married ending. but shsm as a pair i dont see endgame for them. peak for me is that theyre in love and then they spend the rest of their lives trying to forget each other (they don't)

IN REGARDS TO AKESUMI i think my latest 2 comics describe how i feel abt them pretty well!!! link 1 and link 2. actually i think akesumi's friendship is a great way for me to explore how i see/portray/feel about sumire, because i see them as way more similar than the game pays attention to. they're both stuck in their ways: sumire in her cowardice, hiding from the incident and refusing to move on, and akechi entrenched in his own traumas and feeling like he doesn't deserve more than that. their self-hatred manifests in two opposite ways but its very similar at the core. they both like. have no fucking clue what they're doing in terms of handling their pasts so that's why i think them working together to get around their own respective traumas is so fascinating: akechi is terrible at it, pushing sumire too far, but at the same time that perspective is something that she needs. meanwhile, her sensitive and observant personality shows akechi that like, you can have This too: a soft, good love. to have someone care about you unconditionally, so gently. you deserve that, too. yeah i can explode my head off now

Unless there is some huge shift in the way their story is told on screen in s8 I would be shocked if tommy isnt bones by midseason. My personal hope is they have some sort of job related disagreement during the season opening disaster and we get it done quick ana style but part of me thinks its more likely they’ll have some sort of arc leading to a break up because I think theyve established tommy and bucktommy just enough that off screen bones wont really work but also they have not developed bucktommy enough for them to have an actual reason to break up like we can read the subtext but buck is not thinking “he didnt come in costume to my costume party… we have to break up” bc no real person would think that 😭

yeah like ok we can only have this discussion so many times so i don't want to totally open up the can of worms BUT like. to an extent if you want to wave off the complete lack of development and screen time as "they're taking it slow and getting to know each other" (which is like... something you can actually SHOW. on screen! taking it slow doesn't mean we never see them interacting 😭) that's... fine. but the way i see it, buck is a main, his sexuality arc is major, and his romantic life has been at the forefront of his character from day one. if we're talking about an endgame for him, that endgame should not have shown up in 7x03 and remained virtually insignificant by 7x10. at this point you could stick another guy in tommy's place and pretty much nothing would change; his presence as a character has very little bearing on the plot after the cruise arc, or on buck specifically (buck could be kissing literally any guy and nothing would be different, but it's not like the same could be said had he been kissing someone other than taylor).

so when i say it feels like he's getting one step above the marisol treatment, i really mean it. like, all the way up until 7x07 people were willing to believe she and eddie would stay together, even though with each passing episode we were waiting for her to show any kind of independent motivation or development and got nothing. waiting 8 episodes post-introduction and for a new season to start really developing a relationship would be absolutely INSANE and like next-level bad writing, and as much as i hate what tim did in s7 i do think he gives more of a shit about buck than that lol. anyway point is that i think the options are (1) they break up and it's just a blip like tommy gets a job somewhere and buck's like oh damn that sucks. this was fun (2) they break up and it's about eddie (3) they break up and it's about the job/gerrard (4) they break up because one of them fucks up. i also suspect that the breakup arc will be the only arc they get and much like with eddisol their relationship will just kind of exist in the background until it comes time for it to be over lol (unless tommy needs to be a mouthpiece for something).

but also i could be wrong and they could elope i guess 🤷🏾‍♀️ i just kinda think tim is better than this lol and i also think he IS telling the story he wants to tell judging by the amount of screen time buck had with Some Other Guy in s7. so i don't think anyone needs to be worried lol

Hooked nose for Katniss, and she is definitely 5'3" or shorter.

Peeta is always strong and muscular, but I usually picture him as being more chonky than ripped. There's some pudge on top of those muscles. A few years post war, he's a little more chubby and round than he was before. Can still totally throw his wife over his shoulder and carry her around like she's... a sack of flour. ;)

I usually don't picture him with dimples in canon because I feel like Katniss would've mentioned those. In au fanfic though, I sometimes give him dimples, as a treat. A sprinkling of freckles.

Okay so unpopular opinion, most likely, but I think that there's so much that they will be grieving and working through that at around the one year mark they aren't yet officially married. They're definitely in a serious relationship, but to me it's... argh okay. When they send her back to 12, Katniss is told that she's being exiled their indefinitely. Then she never mentions it again, not to tell us that the exile has been lifted, not to tell us that it's more of a lax exile just don't cause trouble wink wink nudg nudge, kind of deal. So to me, she and Peeta need to grieve, need to heal significantly, need to grow back together while doing all of that, which in a way includes relearning who the other person is. They need to renew their commitments to each other, make sure the other person does not doubt their love is real, and also Katniss has to somehow make sure Peeta knows she actually wants to stay in 12 with him and that she's not just staying there with him because she's exiled.

BUT at that one year mark, even if they're not fully married and living together, utilizing every horizontal and several vertical surfaces for nefarious purposes... the entirety of district 12 knows they're basically married anyways.

I feel like that needs some clarification. A lot of the district 12 residents post war will have been in 13, so they would've known or suspected that something was Not Right with K&P after Peeta's rescue. He's not seen for a long time, and then when he is, he's got guards and he's wearing manacles. He's rarely ever close to Katniss. The cafeteria scene happens in front of a crowd. There's no way rumors weren't a flying after Katniss books it out of there and Delly winds up screeching at Peeta and he's dragged out by his guards. So they knew something was up in 13, but they also know that Everlark is endgame at the end of a year after the war.

I don't think it'd take more than two years tho, if that makes sense. I like giving them that wiggle room to heal.

As for you last question, I hesitate to put a name to it because to me, modern day tumblr's concept of "spicy" is not canon Everlark's concept of "spicy." I know what kind of kinky mofo's you all are, and I don't think they get up to that level of spice. But I also don't think they fit modern day tumblr's idea of vanilla either. I think they get up to plenty of spicy shenanigan's. It's not always sweet and tender and two positions with them. Also Peeta has a dirty dirty mouth and once Katniss gets Peeta in her bed for good, they discover that she is insatiably curious.

Maybe that's a copout answer, but that's what I think!

The more news about season 5 comes out, the less faith i have that Byler will definitely be canon. As an ex Byler, i don't see anything else that indicates this, I have no hope, i just want Will to be very happy, his life has been very miserable. Unfortunately, i'm sure they won't have the courage to make Byler canonical.

I mean, I definitely understand having doubt, but not so much having no hope at all. That seems like a pretty desolate way to interact with your interests.

Especially as a result of the information we have so far on season 5... I really don't think any of that means anything. I interact with show/movie leaks occasionally because I live near popular filming sites, and every single time, the end result has turned out completely unexpected. Nothing is an indication of anything set in stone. But even what we do have of season 5 looks bleak for mileven, assuming that a lack of byler endgame means this is the alternative, to the point I wouldn't even assume they were a couple if we only had the information we have now. If the singular scene of them talking is what depleted your hope in byler entirely, I think you should be looking for therapists in your area instead of byler proof. That's not a stable way to think or interact with hobbies that are supposed to cause enjoyment.

But also, tell me what we have of other ships that indicates any of their endings. Nancy and Jonathan are... interacting. Lucas held Max's hand while she's still in a coma. I don't think Joyce and Hopper have interacted once in leaks. Vickie and Robin visit a hospital. The total amount of information we have is equivalent to less than 30 minutes worth of scenes, compared to 10+ hours of runtime. The information that we have on the supernatural story, that has visual cues for spoilers, is severely lacking. Much less the internal stories of all the characters that probably have way more intimate and personal moments in enclosed spaces that paparazzi can't reach. Seeing no indication of a personal storyline in heavily curated bts photos and leaks(that are probably mostly approved by the production team anyways to be honest), means nothing to me.

As for whether the writers will carry it out, I can't really see what would stop them. Gay characters are an obstacle for Disney, who parents get pissed at for revealing the concept of homosexuality to their 8 year old children. Not Stranger Things that's rated 14+, already has 3 gay characters, and makes enough money to be able to just flip the bird to anyone that attempts to pull executive action on their writing decisions. And that has, from the start, admonished homophobia and embraced homosexuality or otherwise gender related nonconformity(in Mike being a paladin as a protector and caretaker, but not so much a traditional fighter, Will's "feminine" interests and personality traits, Nancy's interest in guns, the very conscious discussion of toxic masculinity, etc).

I also generally believe that they've made a lot of stupid decisions if they don't intend to make byler canon(Will's painting, separating Mike and El again, "you're the heart!", not resolving Will's feelings within the season, to name a few), and a lot of questionable ones after that. There's queerbaiting and then there's fucking up the story direction for seemingly no reason.

At the very least I hope you're still able to interact amiably with the current byler fandom, even if you can't allow yourself the courtesy of hope :) don't let assholes online attempt to scare you out of your own personal opinions about a damn tv show with fictional characters. Whether they're canon or not, you're not stupid for thinking that they could happen in the first place, they pretty clearly intended a love triangle. The existence of Will's feelings brings doubt into their relationship just by virtue of him not having been explicitly rejected yet. No matter how straight you think Mike is, it can't trump trope recognition. And even without that, you're allowed to enjoy their relationship pairing for no other reason than that you enjoy it. Just do whatever makes you happy.

Even though I don't endorse convincing yourself that you can predict the future with 100% accuracy either. I'm not going to try to tell you "byler will definitely be canon," because I don't have a time machine to prove that to you. I don't think that the fact that it's not "definitely endgame" means that it definitely won't be, either, though. I think we have a pretty good chance, as much as jancy does. In the end, I don't place too many bets on what will happen, whether Mike and Will end up together or not, I'm just enjoying my time here right now. If they don't end up together then we can all curl up into balls and cry about it over edits and fanart and fanfiction or whatever, but that's not going to stop me from enjoying myself while I'm here.

I'm sorry but they are my engame....PERIOD

I recently rewatched season 1 & 2 and I was reminded that that man has truly been in love with her from day 1. In a way, he has always been waiting on the sidelines for her. But there never seemed to be the right time for them.

I do feel like they haven't really done their story justice. I hated the love triangle but then again it's a cw show so it's expected lol. One of the things I missed in season 2 was how they were always leaning on each other. TBF, they actually had a few of those moments but because season 1 set the pace for their relationship, I expected to see even more in season 2. I love how they just get each other equally. She knows him so well, and he knows her so well. Their relationship is reciprocal. They are eachother's person. It's almost like they literally can't do without the other.

Season 2 ended on a cliffhanger on who she picks. If it's Lando (just to mess with us), then she will eventually make her way to Damon and they finally get their timing right. OR, she picks Damon (I'm 99.9% sure it's Damon) but they break up for just a short time, go through some drama but find their way back to eachother. It's a teen drama tv show afterall. They're not gonna have it easy. Either way, all roads lead to Damon.

To me, it just makes sense if they're endgame. They've shared a deep bond since day 1. They are the love story that they've been telling since the beginning. Everything has been consistently leading up to their endgame. That has to count for something. I don't care what anyone else says....they are THE SHIP of the show, the backbone of the show both individually and together.

I really need them to get back to the original formula in season 3, for their relationship, the friendship group and also for Damon's character. I need that cocky, confident, "I ain't no number 2," Mr MLB, swaggy, smooth, and arrogant Damon who is also kind hearted, smart, considerate, wears his heart on a sleeve, emotionally intelligent, wonderful friend brother and son.

Anyways, I'll probably just watch the first and last episodes and just follow up on what's happening on social media. Then I'll watch the whole season depending on how it ends. I ain't putting myself through all that just incase I hate the ending.

I saw the absolute weirdest take in a comment on a JC video this morning, and I'm honestly still trying to process it.

They were against JC, which is fine, but they had about three things to say and one of them just threw me. Anyway ...

1. Janeway rejected Chakotay do he moved on.

- Okay, fine. Valid way of looking at it, even if I don't agree. Chakotay may have felt rejected, but I don't think Janeway actually rejected him. She just didn't think she could be with him on Voyager and didn't make that clear to him.

2. We're gonna come back to this one because it's bizarre.

3. Chakotay was better with Seven.

- Again, this is a valid opinion, even if I don't agree. It's just a matter of preference. (They did say it should have better written.)

Now back to number 2. Janeway was way too old for Chakotay.

- What????? What does this even mean??? Where did they get this??

I'm one of the few people who believes Janeway is older than Chakotay, and that's only by about a year. Everyone else seems to assume she's several years younger which makes sense because Mulgrew is younger than Beltran. They're practically the same age. How is she too old??

Then they say Chakotay and Seven is a better couple when this couple canonically has a nineteen year age gap*. How?? Do they think men should only date women who are at least a decade younger than them?

*Chakotay was born 2329 ("Endgame" on his tombstone). Seven was born 2348 ("The Gift", she was born Stardate 25479 which converts to 2348).

The first chapter is up even though I only have a very rough not quite 5k written so far, which is something I haven't done since my very first fic ever so like heeheehoo hope it works out, but I want to make sure I actually write it bc every time I rediscover this wip I fall in love with the premise all over again. It's gonna be a biggun tho I fear *sigh*

It's an endgame fix it fic! Featuring a fresh outta the soul stone Peter and (although he doesn't remember him) Harley. There are lots of flashbacks to Harley and Peter's time in the soul stone, but neither of them remember it, they just have strange dreams they don't quite remember and a lot of deja vu when they interact.

The MOst Fun THing for me right now is the dissonance between soul stone Harley (a joy! a delight even!) and present day Harley (what crawled up his butt and died??) and the most difficult thing about it is, due to forces outside my control (the mcu timeline) they're high schoolers 😒 which is fine I just am tired of writing high schoolers. Basically the timeline thing is specifically designed to torture me you don't even KNOW what I mean but someday you will and we'll all look back at this post and go sarah wtf why didn't you just go full au so you could age them up and not have to-- THAT"S NOT THE POINT!!

Harley tips his head and, curious, looks at Ned and MJ anew. “Huh.”

“Wait, how much does he know?” Ned demands.

“Later.” Peter looks around, but no one seems to be listening. On the other side of the room, Flash is telling anyone who will listen about his spring break plans in Norway. He pushes away his crumb covered tray and skewers a glare on Harley. “Why are you here?”

“Why not?”

“I don’t know, because you live in Tennessee?”

Harley pops a torn off chunk of greasy bread in his mouth and says, “I live in New York.”

“Since when?”

“Since I moved here. What’s with the interrogation? Pepper thought you’d be excited.”

“Ohh,” Ned interjects. His expression compresses into a pitying wince. “Did you know Mr. Stark, too?”

“Not h—,” A hard thump on Peter’s back interrupts his repeated warning.

“Are you still still peddling that tall tale, Penis?”

He grits his teeth and doesn't turn around. “Go away, Flash.”

Flash straddles the bench beside him and raises his voice. “Wow, the man’s dead and you’re still trying to ride his coat tails. What’s it like to be that desperate to be someone important?”

“Fuck off, Flash,” MJ says with a note of warning.

He puts up his palms and gets louder. “Honest question! I have no idea what it’s like to be a poor nothing orphan who has to make believe he’s a hero to justify the drain he is on society and his family. Well, what’s left of his family anyway.”

He was concentrating so hard on not letting his irritation show that he missed Harley getting to his feet and rounding the table. But there’s no way anyone could miss him hauling back a fist and planting it square in Flash’s mouth.

Hisami and Zanmu for 1 on that ask game!

When I started shipping it if I did: Since day 1 when I read Hisami's dialogues, like most people I believe lol. I mean, how can you see her and not start cheering for her to get what she wants... Since it's still pretty recent I can add that two lines in particular made me seriously consider it and think about it beyond 'this is nice/funny': when Hisami tells Zanmu that she doesn't have to hold back around her, and when Zanmu tells Hisami that she knew Hisami would mess up on purpose, and that she'll give her a reward anyway - both are about danmaku obviously, but it got my brain gears turning >:]

My thoughts: They've slowly but steadily been going up my favorite ships, especially for the past 2-3 months... They work well together. Obviously I'd love the ship in touhou where one of them has a big fat actual canon crush on the other one, I've been in this hole since 2010 or something so Hisami's kind of a gift... but also in general I think it's a good spin on the boss/henchman trope when the boss is some mega charismatic chessmaster who could probably get anyone they want on their knees and yet their subordinate is one of the only people they can't fully predict/control. The wild card aspect is really funny to me and I love seeing fanworks where Zanmu's like... fondly sighing at Hisami's antics.

Things done in fanworks that annoy me: I think there's too many fanworks where Zanmu looks generally uncomfortable around Hisami despite never doing so even once ingame, and also too many fanworks where Hisami harasses Zanmu, sometimes to make very early 2000s jokes in very poor taste... I won't name anyone but there's a few big yuri artists on twitter who do that and it makes me want to bash my head against the wall when they get praised for it just because their artstyle looks good..... On a more positive note there's a few people who've been creating constantly good content of this pair and I think given a year or two nature will be healing!!

Also I'm of the opinion that Zanmu's fairly tall herself, just a bit shorter than Hisami, so I'm not big on the crazy size difference stuff (funny coming from a seishin fan, I know......)

Things I look for in fanworks: MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING!!! Getting to know each other past the infatuation (in Hisami's case)/the curiosity (in Zanmu's case) in deeper ways. I promise this isn't about sex lol (I do think about that too but not here rn) I really want to see how their relationship can grow and I especially want to see Zanmu enjoying it (as a petty reaction to the stuff listed above...). In their case I think physical intimacy would be a good setting for that kind of scene where their emotional bond grows, so that's what I'd go with if I were to create something like it, but anything can work if it's done in good taste imo. And in general I want to see Zanmu answering Hisami's affections with a positive emotion... whatever it is... I'm desperate.......

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: It's difficult for me to imagine Hisami with anyone else, although I do think she'd have physical relationships with a bunch of women while her feelings for her boss are still unrequited. Zanmu on the other hand I can picture being interested in a few other characters like Reimu or other onis or even the sages, but ultimately not as something she'd commit to and take seriously. The only real endgame is still zanhisa haha

My prefered future/ending for them: Whenever Zanmu considers them close enough to tell Hisami to drop the honorifics and overly reverent language when they're alone, and whenever Hisami feels comfortable doing that would be the ideal "endpoint" for me because of all the things it implies :) I don't care if at that point they actually consider themselves in a relationship or if they just aknowledge there's something going on. Though if they do get in a relationship proper I imagine they'd be very discreet about it. Also I think Hisami should get a promotion so she can directly work as Zanmu's prefered right hand arm man. woman. her everything. her confidant. her silly rabbi

What is their favorite activity together: Probably drinking. I imagine with how old she is and hanging out with onis Hisami's built up a decent hold on alcohol, and Zanmu appreciates it. They reminisce about their respective pasts and talk about the inner workings of hell and Zanmu gets a huge ego boost from showing off her 4D chess plans and Hisami praising her for it
