Idea; Thad and the MD Gang as Cybertronians during the Golden Age, pre-civil war

This is a really good idea but i’m really bad at coming up with Cybertronian names.

I can see Lizzy’s name being something along the lines of Glamour. Her alt mode would be something sleek and something other bots would consider sexy. I can imagine her being something of a celebrity like IDW Blurr, but like… She’d be a cybertronian model with body guards and everything, especially as the Decepticons become more and more of a threat as they edge toward the civil war.

THIS ENDED UP REALLY LONG BECAUSE OF BRAINSTORMING. More under the cut including lore that I thought of on the spot !!!

Thad would also be something of a celebrity for not only good looks but also sports, like maybe he’s one of the best Cube players (that sport Hot Shot was obsessed with in Rescue Bots Academy.) His alt mode would be some sleek sports car. His agent(s) (and Lizzy/Glamour) would try to tell hm to get bodyguards once the Decepticon threat starts to get bigger, but he’d deny it. One traumatic experience later… Anyway. Maybe his name would originally be Glitz since him and Lizzy/Glamour are twins, but then he’d later change it to like… Starblitz popped into my head. Or like, Shootingstar... Nah, Iike Starblitz more.

Uzi… hmm. She’d either be a mnemosurgeon like Chromedome (memory surgeon, basically), or a Metallurgist like Swerve was. NO NO WAIT. She’s a weapons expert, like Brainstorm, with a passing interest in other sciences like Mnemosurgery, Metallurgy, mechanics, and engineering. And maybe some medical stuff because she likes knowing how cybertronians tick. So she dabbles in a lot of stuff and is a little unhinged. I imagine before the war breaks out she was mostly looking into mechanics, but when the Decepticon threat starts rising and tensions start to grow, she switches to making weapons n’ whatnot. And once the war breaks out, through unknown means, she kinda turns into like… a techno-organic and her alt mode goes from vehicle and forced into bat. Her original name would be like…. uuuh. Mechawire maybe, as a nod to her love for mechanics and stuff, or… maybe something with Smoke. Sautersmoke. Something like that. I told you, horrible at names LMAO. Anyway, once she turns into a Technoorganic, her name would change. Something with bat in it. Mechabat would be the easy way out

I feel like Doll’s name would be easy. Keep the Doll part and add a prefix/suffix. Like uhhh. Sirendoll or something. I could also see Eclipse being a good name for her too. She’d have Skywarp’s cool teleporting ability and she and Lizzy/Glamour would be girlfriends <3. At least until Doll/Eclipse dies in the war/while tensions are rising. Maybe…. maybe there’s an assassination attempt on Glamour, but a bodyguard tackles her out of the way, leading to the bullet meant for her to hit Eclipse in the spark instead. Yeah Glamour is gonna be going THROUGH it in this AU/Crossover

Now for the Dissassembly Drones + Cyn :3

So I think they’re all originally, yknow, normal bots. N, V, and J would all be bodyguards, and Cyn would yknow, just be a normal sparkling figuring out what she wants to be when she gets old enough. And, get this. She wants to be a body guard, like her big brother (N), because she looks up to him.

J, aka Codeblue (the color is important later), would be assigned to a senator to protect.

V, aka Blackrose, would be assigned to protect Glamour. (I imagine she’d be the one to tackle her out of the way of the assassination attempt)

N, aka Goldenreciver (get it? I’m so clever), would be like, jumping assignments. All of the bots who get assigned with him, from senator to celebrity to other people of significance, complain that he talks to much or is too friendly— basically they don’t trust him to do his job (hello self worth and self image issues)

and Cyn, who I’m just putting her here for her name, would be Syntax. Because it can be shortened to Syn, so it’s close to Cyn. I’m so clever.

Anyway. These four know each other, but their relationships are similar to how they are in canon. Goldenreciever loves Syn like a sister and she loves him like a brother, Goldenreceiver and Blackrose have MASSIVE crushes on each other, though Blackrose kinda finds Syntax weird, and Codeblue just Hates All Of Them (its a front) and is specifically incredibly rude to Goldenreciever. And they all have the same personalities as they did in the manor. While Blackrose is incredibly shy and softspoken, she’s a damn good bodyguard

But WAIT. There’s MORE.

When the civil war broke out, the Deceptions (probably the seekers) separated them from their assigned people and kidnapped them, including Syn.

For Goldenreciever, they like... half shadowplayed him. They cleared all of his memories, but they let him keep his personality. Because of Blackrose and Codeblue.

They almost Shadowplayed Blackrose and Codeblue, but the two of them struck a deal. If they pledge their allegiance to Megatron and Megatron alone, they would keep their memories and everything, and N could keep his personality and be allowed to stay relatively normal. That's right! Much like canon V, Blackrose's personality doesn't change because of tampering, it changes because of trauma!! Anyway, Codeblue would tell you the only part of the deal she cared about was to keep her own memories safe.

And then there's Syn. They completely shadowplayed and empurata'd her, basically giving her the IDW Senator Shockwave treatment. From friendly happy fembot to menacing and terrifying and unforgiving and deadly. Her design would likely be akin to TFP Soundwave, though her head would resemble the Solver cameras we see in Murder Drones

They each get name changes, repaints, and alt mode changes (mostly Jets) after their procedures. Goldenreceiver -> Skydemon (Because I think it would be incredibly silly if there was a Decepticon called Skydemon and he turns out to just be incredibly silly and naive. Deadly, but friendly. y'know.) Blackrose -> Rosethorn Codeblue -> Codered (see I told you the color was important)

And for Syn?

Her name changes to SOLVER.

So I was thinking about Mettaton, and something hit me

Mettaton Neo has a very angelic design. I may be stretching it, but considering what a certain other angel looks like

The resemblance is very much there. Mettaton's Ex and Neo forms look far more human than anything or anyone in the underground, including Frisk themselves during the Genocide run. Mettaton Neo is specifically a form used in a last case scenario to stop you. Now depending on how you view the Neo form, this can probably mean a few things. My two cents is that its Mettaton trying to keep himself and you fooled. Mettaton first and foremost is a showman. He's a TV star, and even if he may no longer have an audience, there's no way he's going off air lying down.

Now why would this relate to his Neo form resembling the Angel? Well he's bluffing, whether intentionally or not he is bluffing. He can't beat you, and deep down I think he knows too. The best he can do is stall for time to get as many people out and evacuated as possible, to inspire hope. Its why he stays in the underground, and its what he's good at: inspiring. So he fights you and blocks your path, in the face of a demon he uses the visage of an Angel as the last line of defense for Monster kind. Undyne has fallen, the Asgore will fall too, but Mtt cannot let the monsters hopes die too. It uses a bunch of leitmotifs, and one of which is Bergentrückung, the other theme of someone who tried to bring hope to the Monsters, and the theme of who will fall after Mtt. This is also apparent with how Power of Neo is a more techno Mtt themed version of BAATH to begin with. But what I want to point out is what this means for Spamton Neo. By this logic, Spamton ALSO uses the visage of an Angel. Just for funnies, lets compare sprites too!

Notice how it only uses the first part of the loop, it doesn't go on and doesn't continue Power of Neo fully. It doesn't have the full meaning of Mettaton's heroic sacrifice to help people, as instead of an Angel to save the Underground, Spamton is that Angel of Death in Undertale's prophecy (in the Snowgrave route anyway). Like Mettaton, Spamton also uses the visage of an Angel to achieve a goal, but no matter what route it is its a dark perversion of Mettaton's goals. Mettaton wanted to inspire the Underground and achieve his dreams, trying to stall and kill Frisk to either save them from Asgore, or save the survivors from You. Spamton wanted his freedom and attacks and tries to kill Kris for their soul so he can be free. He also assists in the Snowgrave route, being an accomplice to many many deaths for 15 minutes of fame. This idea is more properly conveyed in the last parts of Big Shot with the use of Power of Neo. Oh yeah this was a Mettaton analysis whoopsie Ok so I know this was a Mettaton Neo thing at the start but man I just wanted to gush and gush about Mettaton cuz man I really can't get enough of him. He's the only one of two characters in Undertale to directly have connections with the Angel prophecy when it isn't just the Delta Rune itself, he inadvertantly saved the Underground because he's what made Alphys get the Royal Scientist posi--OH WAIT YEAH THATS SOMETHING I CAN TALK ABOUT OK SO SIDE TANGENT METTATON UNINTENTIONALLY SAVED THE UNDERGROUND AND I FIND THAT REALLY REALLY COOL! Because Alphys used Mettaton as a project to show to Asgore to become the Royal Scientist, this let Alphys work on the amalgamates and also create Flowey. Without Flowey, the barrier wouldn't have broken and no one would have been freed. Yes I know this isn't all solid since Mettaton didn't somehow cause 6 random kids fall down but you get the idea. Mettaton transitioning saved the world totally I NEED MORE METTATON AUS GRHEYCGDHWUDYGHJWYDH IM GOING TO GO FERAL!!! HE'S NEEDS IT AHHHHHHH!! Ts!Underswap is honestly amazing for Mettaton. I mean Mettacrit. He doesn't get his JoJo body, but is that going to stop him? OF COURSE NOT!

HE'S METTACRIT! AIN'T NO ONE STOPPING HIS DREAMS! He's also a wonderful little gist of Mettaton's whole character, just get rid of Alphys (sadly). Someone who wants to achieve their dreams, wanting to share the love and kindness around, with of course the sassy show stealing charm he needs.

But what if that wasn't so easy

SURPRISE! UNDERFELL TOO! We got the whole holy trinity of Undertale au's, specificallyyyyy

I MAY BE READING TOO FAR INTO THIS BUT I LOVE METTATON GAMMA SO MUCHHHH Its still our same ol Mettaton, but now his dreams are falling on deaf ears. He's Spamton in nature instead of Fabulous. Everyone is violent and blood hungry, so a simple cooking show with a touch of murder won't be enough, or another beautiful rendition of Oh My Love~! Its clear (to me anyway) that Mettaton in this au is nowhere near as big a star as he is in the normal Undertale continuity. In his intro monologue he brags about the audience he brought in, and during the fight he's much more focused on what the Audience wants rather than the show HE wants. Something OUR Mettaton just wouldn't do. This is the same sexy rectangle who basically just broadcasts whatever he wants. I forgot the exact dialogue and screenshot but its just not something Undertale Mettaton really does. Underfell though? A different story. He's bound to his viewers in a bad way till Frisk comes along. He's even more bound to Alphys in this AU as her little science fair project. GOD I LOVE THIS GAME ITS WHAT I'D WANT FROM AN ACTUAL UNDERFELL GAME! Oh my god I haven't even talked about Deltarune Mettaton and Mike and how that works OK SO THIS IS ENTERING MY PERSONAL FANON BUT Y'know how Spamton and Mettaton have their parallels? Y'know how the internet has been down in Deltarune?

Chapter 3's dark world is definitely TV themed, there's no way it can't. I know Tenna is the big TV related baddie now, but Im using Mike in this take. If Spamton is the more passive parallel to Mettaton, Mike in this chapter 3 take would be the darker direct parallel. Instead of the dreamer from humble beginnings who, even if he can be vain and self centered at times, still means well deep down like Mettaton is, Mike would be the cynical producer type who's fueling problems in the industry to make it big on top. A dark Mettaton if you will. Basically like this

This ask really perlexed me cause i thought i was like still active on Tumblr but yeah i haven't been really huh? Well for starters, on my recent whereabouts, ive been on vacation at my parents and just generally working on commissions and a personal project, with trying to maintain my Pokémon lore up. Im sorry to all of those who sent me asks in the past that i didnt respond to, I've just had the time to properly do anything with them and give them the time they deserved. As for stuff, I've made the current stuff ive actually been doing is trying to make a game using a world i havent really shared- like at all- I'm very bad at sharing my lore and stuff, even my pokémon stuff people dont know half of it beyond a select few- 😅

But as I was saying I have this completely original world i made called Boden, it's a Techno Fantasy world filled with anthropomorphic animals and creatures- I have been working primarily on it so that's why i havent designed any new pokémon ocs in months

But yes, i have a couple of new characters ive been working on that i could share but i think it'd be better on a actual post dedicated to them than a ask response But anyways, thank you very much for this ask, i've never gotten one like this before and it does make me happy to see that there's random people on the net who actually like my stuff and wanna see more of it

i have seen ur dsmp posts and i just need you to understand how insane this dream drama is to me. like i was not SUPER into the dsmp lore but i loved that server sm. i have such a weird youtube trajectory that led me to tommy, wilbur (ew) and techno literally like a few months before they all blew up. seeing how grown up toby and tom are just makes me so happy!! like i grew up with those boys (we literally are the same age) and i just cannot with this fucking green man. Just naturally and so I was like i cannot hear you down there and then he was like must've been the wind (V is 5'0" assumably, and I is 5'10" so it's a pretty big difference) I just had such a blast working with my LB kids today they're so delightful :) (i was talking to V and explaining this all to her just before you sent this in ruby)

so it was natural I was interested in the DSMP. I saw art for it in the fanart community of IG, which piqued my interest, the artists for the DSMP were so damn talented ugh. anyways I basically only had this idea of Dream cause I followed the British steamers more, I was also more in the Corpse fringes which is sort of different from dsmp people. i had a irl who i was close with who got more into the dream team and I was more Brighton group!

im so proud of tom and Toby, they've gotten soso big they're so mature for our age it's so bonkers I almost cried over it it's so silly but I'm soso proud of Tom.

I've been calling this the Blade System AU and mentioning that Blades have Soul Weapons, but I haven't actually talked about who has what weapon, have I?

For the purposes of this AU, and my sanity, we are going to say that Soul Weapons fall into the basic category of weapons or tools from Minecraft. As much fun as I would have with rapiers and halberds and warhammers, Minecraft doesn't really... support that? Basically, all swords are swords.

The types of weapons and tools that can be Soul Weapons are: Axe, Pickaxe, Shovel, Hoe, Sword, Mace, Fishing rod, Shears, Trident, Bow, Crossbow

Obviously, Blades that are dps tend towards actual weapons, Blades that are healers tend towards the tools, and Blades that are tanks go either/or, depending on whether they are a takes-strong-hits type of defense or debuff-into-oblivion type of defense. There are some exceptions, you can have a healer Blade that is a sword or axe, but they're rare. "Sword" Soul Weapons are the most common type.

I know that I said that the Resonance-based enchantment was Sharpness, but not all tools/weapons can have that type of enchantment. I will specify if the enchantment varies base on Soul Weapon type.

So, for our Blades. We'll put this under cut because it's getting long:

Dream (Light, healer) – he gets a fishing rod. Dream has been very inventive with uses of fishing rods before, especially in manhunts (which aren't quite cannon to this version of c!Dream, but eh). Since Soul Weapons are unbreakable, so Dream can also use it like a flexible rod or staff. The fishing line also becomes razor wire if he wills it to be, which makes it quite useful as a garrote (the razor mode has the Sharpness aspect). This has the added bonus of being able to tangle someone in the line for fun (a spar, just messing around) or tangle someone up as a threat (if you move you'll get sliced to ribbons). I feel that a fishing rod tool fits best because it can be used for survival but it can also be used to find treasures. And Dream tends to have good luck when he isn't planning to actively put himself in horrible situations, so he's got Luck of the Sea :)

Punz (Dark, dps) – a sword, plain and simple. c!Punz likes walking the line between being very much a threat and also being kind of background. Like, everyone knows who he is/what he does so they don't really look beneath the surface. In addition to the Sharpness, he gets Looting.

Technoblade (Earth, dps) – I waffled a bit over this one, but I want to say axe? Techno doesn't use his Soul Weapon much, so he went and made a real version of his Soul Weapon, which is the Axe of Peace (also this gives layers to why Techno wants it back and doesn't like other people having it). Unlike the Axe of Peace, Techno gets the Sharpness from Resonance and doesn't need Unbreaking or Mending on a Soul Weapon. He does still have Efficiency V. I did think about choosing pickaxe in honor of Techno maybe pulling out his Soul Weapon after the failed execution, but I think he'd be even more paranoid about letting anybody from L'Manberg's Butcher Army seeing it. Also a Blade with good Resonance basically has a strength potion effect 100% of the time anyway... Techno is way too OP in this AU, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Philza (Ice, dps) – If Minecraft had a scythe, it would be a scythe (for Death theming). But we're going with a bow. A melee weapon means you have to be up in someone's face to kill them. A bow? Much more impersonal (death doesn't discriminate). He would have Power as the Resonance enchantment. Since he can make his own arrows with ice magic, has functional Infinity. Since he is an Aegis, with multiple elements available, he can do Flame, too. In fact, if he's not careful, Flame + Ice Arrow can make temperature shock explosions (similar to a rocket) when he hits something and the magic mixes. Phil on a warpath is very much the joke of "I didn't ask how large the room was, I said I cast fireball!"

Skeppy (Air, dps) – he gets a mace! Lots of plunging attacks when you're an air Blade that can fly. Also, while I don't really think of Skeppy as absolutely tiny in this AU, he's still pretty small, especially in comparison to Bad? Like 5' 0". So theres a juxtaposition whenever he pulls his weapon and it's huge and heavy and he's just swinging it around like a regular Player would a sword. Since it's a Mace, he gets Density as his Resonance instead of Sharpness. As an air Blade, he also gets automatic Wind Burst III.

Slime (Lightning, tank) – also a sword. He gets Sweeping Edge, in honor of the QSMP egg lore. I'm sorry that there's not more details, but neither he nor Las Nevadas arc!Quackity seem to have specific, notable weapons. Even the stuff in Pandora's Vault was Q borrowing the Warden's set.

Callahan (Water, tank) – a trident, to take advantage of his nature as a water Blade. He has Impaling for Resonance (please note that when you are fighting a water blade, you/the opponent is always going to be wet). Also, Riptide. No Loyalty though, because that's a bit pointless when the Blade can just dismiss the Soul Weapon and re-summon it in their hand.

Dream doesn’t even look behind him, training weary eyes on his target in front of him without a word. He knows what he’ll see if he turns - Sapnap, hands balled resolutely into fists behind him, face determined, concerned. It’s clear his best friend doesn’t understand, and he’s not about to start explaining.

“Seems like you’re trying to get yourself injured,” comes another voice casually from behind Sapnap’s, and this voice does make Dream stiffen and turn; Sapnap is standing exactly as he imagines, looking strangely out of place in the dark of the Syndicate training room, but behind him is George, eyebrows arched, face bored. He leans against the door like he doesn’t care less. 

Dream knows better. He always does.

“Who sent you?” He asks, voice quiet, hushed.

Sapnap steps forwards. “Who d’you think, idiot?” He trades an uncertain glance with George. “Techno said you’d be down here. Think he’d kill us if we came down here otherwise.”

Biting back a snort of amusement, Dream knows it’s true. Techno is more than a little protective of the Syndicate grounds, and had been displeased enough when Dream had requested that his friends should be allowed to come and go as they pleased. But he knows why Techno has sent them - knows, because Techno is ridiculously transparent these days, and it’s obvious the other is worried about him.

Not that anyone should worry about him. Because he’s fine.

He says so himself.

“Tell Tech I said… thanks for the concern, but I’m good.” Dream spins back round to his straw training dummy, gives it a poke with his sword. His arm, exhausted after hours of desperately trying to work himself back up to full strength, trembles. “I’ll finish soon, and I’ll get sleep when I’m done.”

George scoffs. “It’s one in the morning. It’s past training time.”

“I slept plenty yesterday,” Dream says, unfazed, “look. I’ll finish soon. I promise.”

…It’s only partly a lie. Really, ‘soon’ could mean anything - five minutes, fifty minutes, five hours. He does plan on finishing at some point… though he doesn’t have to tell them when. He’s sick of feeling like he’s being babied, sick of hiding away waiting desperately to be completely healed - hell, Quackity and Sam had done a fantastic job of making sure Health and Regen potions got rid of every scar and open wound on his body - and he’s sick of feeling like he’s useless. Like he’s damaged.

He’s completely fine. He’s Dream.

When he sways on his feet, Sapnap doesn’t look sure, and steadies him. Annoyance rising, Dream pushes him off with a grimace.

“Sapnap.” The name comes out with force. “I’m fine.”

“Dream.” George mimics his voice, pushing himself off the doorframe and sauntering in. His eyes are heavy and framed with dark circles under his goggles. “You’ve been here seven hours.”

…Okay, so that’s true. Dream wilts a little, but stays stubborn. “I stopped for dinner.”

“Stopped to step out, take steak from Philza, and eat it.” Sapnap exhales, stepping round and getting between Dream’s sword and the training dummy. “Look, man. It’s clear you want to train. Nobody wants to stop you doing that–”

“Really?” He interrupts, words clipped. “Because that’s what it feels like.”

“No. Prime, you’re paranoid.”

“Really.” Dream’s laugh is dry, even in his own ears. “Astute, Sap.”

He doesn’t mean the nickname, he really doesn’t. It’s been months and months since he’d called him that - before the breakout, before prison, before the throne, and even then, it had mostly been a joke. Calling him Sap now feels too gentle, too vulnerable – but Sapnap softens anyway, sighing, running a hand through the back of his hair. “We just want you to rest,” he says quietly, “look, man. We all get that you want to train. Believe me, we get it. But you have so much time. You don’t need to exhaust yourself like this.”

Time. What do George and Sapnap know about time? Dream’s face hardens, and he lifts the sword to Sapnap’s throat - it’s not a genuine threat, though, and it stings to see Sapnap stiffen like it is. 

“Sapnap, listen to me. I’m not going to stop training. I need to train.” He has to laugh, incredulously. “I lost so much time in prison. Ten months! And I lost six weeks recovering, and I lost two months building up strength again and focusing on recovering mentally, and I’ve only just managed to start training properly again! How can you ask me to stop when I’ve only just started?”

“Fight me, then.”

Sapnap and Dream both pause at George’s nonchalant offer. Swiveling round, eyes narrowing suspiciously, Dream stares at his best friend. “What?”

George saunters forwards, dropping his sword on the floor and rolling up his sleeves. Despite the tiredness on his face, he looks ready. “You heard me,” the older continues impatiently, “if you want to train, then fight me. Only if you lose, you rest. If you win, you can do what you want.”

Sapnap protests incoherently. Dream, seizing the opportunity to be left alone, agrees: “Deal,” he says, dropping his own sword, “fists only?”

George hums in agreement. “First to get the other to less than half health.”

And fighting with George – it’s different. It’s not as frightening as Dream had initially feared, nothing like prison, when his only ways of fighting back had been shielding his face from blows or throwing himself into lava to defy the Warden and Quackity. It’s not frightening, it doesn’t remind him of prison, Quackity, anything – instead, it’s exhilarating. It feels like his old life again when George yelps at a particularly sneaky hit, feels familiar and good when George’s fist connects with his shoulder. 

He’s used to winning fights with George, especially this George, who spends half his life in a dream and certainly hasn’t trained for a long, long time. Maybe it’s this that makes him cocky - or maybe it’s because he’s tired, maybe it’s because he’s only just started back training himself, maybe it’s a thousand different reasons - but Dream underestimates George a few too many times. 

It ends with him flat on his back, cursing under his breath as George stands above him smugly, and calling out a defeated, “half health!”

(It’s a lie. He’s on quarter health. That makes it more bitter.)

George crouches beside him, a smug smile playing about his face. “You look surprised,” he smirks, and then turns to Sapnap, who is also standing with his mouth agape, and then George scowls, “oh, come on. You didn’t think I’d win either?”

“In Dream’s defence,” Sapnap says, “you lose, like, ninety percent of the time.”

George looks offended, kicking at his best friend, who dodges with a grin. “You’re lying,” George says mournfully, “I’m better than both of you. You’re both lame.”

“Lame?” Sapnap complains. “Says the guy who loses all his good items every time he gets outta bed because I keep killing him. How am I the lame one?”

“Dream,” George wheedles, “defend me.”

Dream doesn’t reply. He yawns instead, tilting his head up and studying the roof of the Syndicate room sleepily. When it did at all, exhaustion has always hit him strongest and out of nowhere – he remembers curling up and falling asleep in the strangest of places as a child, only woken sleepily by Bad or Sapnap finding him hours later, and as old as the memory is, it’s comforting to him now.

“He’s dying,” George says gravely, “I killed him. Someone prepare the funeral.”

Sapnap laughs, covering his mouth and rolling his eyes. “Idiot.” He flops down beside Dream on the hay floor, tucking his arms behind his head and turning to his best friend with a mischievous look. “What was that, about not being tired?”

Dream stifles another yawn. “Maybe ‘m a little tired,” he admits, eyes heavy and warm, and Sapnap’s chuckle sits light in his stomach, “still not goin’ to bed, though. I’ve got to train.”

“Train by sleeping on the floor?” When Dream only grunts, Sapnap grins. “Yeah. That’s what I thought.”

George sits too, but places down a bed first, sitting down on it cross-legged and haughty. “I’m not sleeping on the floor. You two have fun, though.”

“How’d y’ beat me?” Dream mumbles, blinking sleepily. “I wasn’t expectin’ it.”

George looks pleased with himself. “Because I’m the best and you’re dogwater,” he says plainly, and then, seeing Sapnap’s eye roll: “And because you’re obviously tired. You can’t do any good training while you’re tired. Obviously. It’s, like, the first thing you learn in training.”

Dream chuckles, the sound heavy and warm. It’s been a while since he’s felt like this: he feels so normal, he feels like how he had felt pre-prison, pre-wars, pre-SMP – it’s nice. It’s really nice. “You’re an idiot.”

“Says you.” George returns, but it’s fond, and makes Dream’s eyes crinkle.

“I’m so sick of DNF,” Sapnap says dramatically, and Dream grins as Sapnap loops an arm around him, “time for Dreamnap. DN.”

“Deez nuts,” George yawns, closing his eyes, “goodnight, DN. Deez Nuts.”

He’s asleep before either Dream or Sapnap can comment. Clapping a hand over his mouth to stifle his laugh, Dream turns to Sapnap, who doesn’t look tired, but does gaze at him fondly. 

“Glad you’re resting, dude,” Sapnap tells him, “really. I know you hate me an’ George and Techno and stuff talking about it and stuff, but you’ll train better with sleep. You really will.”

Dream doesn’t argue. “I just feel like–” He shifts, trying to shake off some of his exhaustion. “I hate feeling like I’m useless. I hate sitting about doing nothing, I hate feeling like an invalid, or– or like I’m some kind of victim, you know?”

Sapnap sighs. “I know. And there’s nothing wrong with training. Hell, I’ll train with you. I want to. But you have to be patient with your body.”

He gestures to Dream’s leg-brace; to the cane, propped up awkwardly in the corner; to the tremor in his hands and the sunken skin of his cheeks. 

“Healing takes time, buddy.”

Buddy. Despite feeling defensive, Dream’s chest warms at the familiar nickname. “I… know,” he says, reluctantly, “I’m just not used to going slow.”

“Who said anything about going slow?” Sapnap laughs. “You went fast enough with George fighting him tonight. You’re not– I dunno, you’ve not suddenly forgotten how to fight. You just have to look after yourself a little better, man. And, you know. Let people help you from time to time.”

His oldest friend shoots him a fond look.

“You’re pretty shit at doing that, still. Even as a kid, you were dumb with that.”

Dream nudges him with a yawn. “I’m not dumb. You’re dumb.”

“You’re dumber.”

“You’re dumbest.”

“You’re the dumber-dumbest.”

“You’re… that multiplied by infinity.”

Sapnap scoffs. “Just go to sleep, dumbass.” There’s fondness layered into his voice. “G’night. I’m gonna kick your ass when you train tomorrow if you wake me before nine in the morning tomorrow.”

Nine? Dream tries not to look flabbergasted. “That’s so late.”

“Nine o’clock,” Sapnap says, “any earlier and I’ll literally just beat you up.”

Dream pouts, but turns away, tugging the blankets from George’s bed and wrapping them around himself. “G’night, Sap.” And then, after a long pause, he says, almost shyly: “Thanks. For helping.”

Sapnap doesn’t reply, but he does nudge him gently and fix his blankets, which is his code for don’t mention it. Dream, warm and content and so, so tired, lets himself drift off to sleep, deep and dreamless, for the first time in three days.

When he wakes the next morning, it’s eight in the morning, and Sapnap and George are still asleep beside him. Instead of jumping to his feet and rushing to get ready, Dream yawns, and lets himself drift back to sleep.

Another hour won’t hurt. Not when his best friends are there to support him.

Vague My Little Pony bedrock bros au/ideas fuck this is unhinged behaviour, i drew good art to accompany it as i explain the mental illness (tw for major character death)

Going off the assumption that either anyone reading this doesnt know about mlp plot-wise or just doesnt know that much about it plot-wise. So im gonna say the few things that is kinda important to this au, if you know what the things are skip it its a lot of words:

Changling - Hivemind Bug like creatures that are kinda pony shaped. They can do magic(they have a horn), fly (they have wings), shapeshift, and their main thing is eating love. <- eating love is a legit need for them, like food - without eating love they will starve (this episode shows that, starting at around 7 minutes (theres also a banger song at around 17 minutes, but thats my bias talking)) The way they eat love is by shapeshifting (into someones thats loved) and then feeding off that love. They can also shapeshift into just a random pony that doesnt exist. Also this is what a changling looks like, btw. Easier to show than explain v

And the hivemind part is a bit iffy? I mean they say its a hivemind but in the episode i linked the changling (forgot their name because im a fake fan :( ) wanted a friend the second they were hatched so who knows. This isnt that serious this is me making bedrock bros angst from mlp world

Anyways! In my au/idea-for-angst, changlings feeding off of a person's love can harm the person they're feeding off of. I don't know if its like that in canon, which is why i'm saying its an au thing

Tantabus - In canon it's only in Princess Luna's dreams, but canon is dead i shot it, so thats not important. But the reason it exists is Luna felt guilty and made it so that it would give her nightmares (oversimplification, but it's fine) Photo example of what it looks like v

Pony - There are four types of Ponies. Earth pony (no wings + no horn), Pegasi (Have wings but dont have horn), Unicorn (no wings but have horn), Alicorn (Royalty. Have wings + have horn). Ponies also have cutie marks, which is just basicly a magic tattoo they get when they discover their talent/passion

Time for more words. I have two versions of this au/idea, but im gonna start with the one i drew things for.

Tommy is a changling (his wings are too damaged to fly with) and Techno is an earth pony. Tommy is a pretty young changling who Does Not like being a changling. He wants to be a pony, but at the same time he wants people to love him for being him. it's contridictory.

He doesn't take form of anyone specific, the first thing he sees are two disks resting on a bench and he decides that can be his cutie mark. He's never heard music, but he thinks he wants to.

He meets Techno, a potato farmer with apples coated in gold and Tommy didn't know that was possible, and turns out it's just a decoration and he did try to eat it but does it really matter if Techno gave him some love for it?

Techno keeps loving him, and maybe he realized something was wrong when standing for hours started to feel draining when it never had before. Maybe he realized something was off when Tommy's main was growing wrong - jutted out, the hair stiff - and maybe he shouldve realized when Tommy barely hid a gag when he ate anything techno gave him.

It takes time. Techno has a job, but he can't do it anymore. He's tired - it doesnt seem physical until he needs to close his eyes for longer. It doesnt seem like a big deal until silent acts of love towards Tommy make him need to take a nap.

It doesnt seem like a big deal to Tommy, until he realizes that this is why it's so hard to feed a big group. This is why he was allowed to leave alone, because the town is too small and they thought he was smart enough to feed off not just one person.

It doesn't seem like a big deal to Tommy until it's been months, he is full, and Techno stops opening his eyes.

It doesnt seem like a big deal until Techno's last muttered words are that he knew, and he should have done something diffrent, but-

Techno, who's cutie mark is a sword going into his skin - Techno, who's real and true and is able to love. Techno, who may as well have been born for this and who regrets this.

Techno, who stops, either because he physically cant say more or because he mentally cant. Soon enough, his chest stops rising.

Techno didnt like flowers that much, but he didnt mind them and liked the smell of the golden ones outside of his home. He wore it in his main. And tommy, a changling without much of a main or tail, wraps himself in golden flowers and sits close to Techno. There's no use pretending anymore, but he still does.

Tommy makes a Tantabus for himself, he closes his eyes not unlike Techno, and he lays down.

And he dreams.

And the flowers around him wilt.

And he can't hear anything from the hivemind - he hasnt been able to for a while now. He doesnt know how that happened, why it happened, or if it was always like that.

My top 10 unpopular opinions.

10. Sevendust is one of the best Metal bands I have listened to I genuinely love Sevendust, but while the band has many fans, some of us can agree that they don't quite get the recognition they deserve, and because of that, several have indeed labeled them as underrated.

They have a great unique sound that is very heavy yet melodic, and they're one of the few bands that haven't really changed their sound all too much, and yet they still come off as great and fresh...that's just me though.

9. Double Dragon (Neo Geo) is one of the most underrated fighting games I have ever played I love the Double Dragon games (most of them, anyways), and this gem for the Neo Geo is no exception.

It's loosely based on the Double Dragon movie (more on that later), and yet it actually does a great job at making the film universe seem very cool, especially as an alternate take on Double Dragon. Beyond that, it's a fun Street Fighter II-esque fighting game, which is ironic because it's published by SNK (Capcom's long-time rival behind The King of Fighters and Samurai Shodown among others).

Definitely a much better Double Dragon fighting game than Double Dragon V: The Shadow Falls, and it helps that it was developed by Technos Japan aka the company behind the original Double Dragon arcade games.

8. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is overrated I used to like this movie, but upon rewatch and reflection? I realize just how cringe and obnoxious it was.

Every single character is unlikable, especially Scott Pilgrim himself, and I didn't find it all that funny. It does have a great visual style from Edgar Wright as well as some cute easter eggs for video game fans, but that's not enough to salvage it.

7. Pineapple on Pizza is fine While not my favorite topping of Pizza (I prefer Pepperoni and Meat Lovers), Pineapple Pizza is not as bad as some make it out to be, especially when compared to Anchovies.

6. The old Super Mario Bros., Double Dragon and Street Fighter movies are not the worst The first few live-action movies based on video games pre-Mortal Kombat (1995) get quite a horrible reputation among fans, but as a fan of the games they are based on, I can still watch them.

Yes, they are very loose takes on the classic games, which is largely one of the main reasons why fans hate them, and yes, they're not technically great movies either, but they can be very amusing, especially in that guilty pleasure/so bad it's good way.

I can still let them pass for at least trying to make video game adaptations work, especially since they were among the first examples of the concept. We did get better video game movies, especially the animated Mario and Street Fighter II movies, but believe it or not? We also got much worse examples (such as Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li and the adaptations directed by Uwe Boll).

5. I never got into the MCU's depiction of Spider-Man I love Spider-Man, especially the first two movies by Sam Raimi, but I never really got into later Spider-Man movies beyond them...well, except for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which is honestly the best Spidey flick since Spider-Man 2 (I have yet to see Across the Spider-Verse, but I have heard great things).

Tom Holland's version of Peter Parker did get a lot of praise, but I never really liked him all that much. To me, he was kind of a wuss. I recognize that he does mature by the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, but while it was nice to see him with both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield on screen, I had already lost interest in the MCU by that time.

If you like the MCU Spider-Man movies? That's perfectly fine.

4. Street Fighter III and Mortal Kombat X are some of the most overrated fighting games ever Some will scream blasphemy since I am a massive fan of both Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, hence my nickname Ryu Kang, but I never got into these particular installments.

They were both aiming to be focused on the new generations of both franchises, similar to Tekken 3, which I felt did that concept much better. The two games get a lot of love, especially among tournament players, but they're not my cup of tea, and I do prefer other Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat games.

3. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003) is one of the best incarnations of the TMNT franchise I love the TMNT franchise, whether it'd be the 80s cartoon, the first two live-action movies from the 90s, or some of the video games like the two arcade games by Konami and Shredder's Revenge.

While the 2003 cartoon has a fanbase, it's also one that tends to be pretty underrated, especially in later times. I love how it aims to be darker and mirror the original comic books while still working within the parameters of being a Saturday morning cartoon.

I also have a personal attachment to the cartoon as I used to watch it a lot around 2003-04. Plus, I will gladly take it over later incarnations of TMNT like the Michael Bay movies.

2. Batman Forever and Daredevil (2003) are pretty underrated comic book movies These two movies do get so much hatred, I feel. While neither of them are among the greatest superhero movies ever made, I genuinely feel there was a lot of effort put into them, especially considering that they were victims of heavy studio meddling.

The director's cut of Daredevil (2003) especially salvages that movie, and I would like to see the original cut that Joel Schumacher intended for Batman Forever if they ever plan on releasing it.

1. I prefer Sonya Blade with Liu Kang over her with Johnny Cage Some of you definitely saw this coming, especially if you follow my page, but yeah, I'm not very fond of the CageBlade pairing.

I have already written many times before why I feel this way, but in a nutshell...Johnny annoys Sonya so much, and she only warms up to him whenever she's put in danger and he comes in to save the day. Also, later MK games and movies did a poor job handling their dynamic.

While Liu Kang and Sonya never really hooked up in the canon, the interactions they do have really show that the two get along well, and I do feel the pairing has fan art and fanfic potential beyond what I normally do with them.

With that being said, I don't mind Liu Kang with Kitana either (though recent MK games and movies do a poor job handling them too), and I would be biased and harsh if I said that he deserves only one between Kitana and Sonya.

So yeah, those are my top 10 unpopular opinions. If you don't agree with any of these, it's all good. Let's be civil about it.

nimona is anarchy heavy and challenges the idea of humanity and fear and is very much a reference to how the media treats queer people and how queer people are taught to fear each other!

anyway tommy as nimona would place tommy in an anarchist role, he’s been rejected by society and now just wants someone, anyone, to be a monster like him. he is fully willing to adjust his moral compass to whatever they prefer to get this but has a preference towards violence and destruction.

techno as ballister would definitely fit because it would place him as someone who started off just wanting the best but was never really accepted and then was framed into a bad guy by someone who wanted people like him, people different, to never be able to be heroes. he meets tommy (nimona) and slowly comes into his own as an anarchist, before his trust is shaken and he temporarily turns on tommy out of fear, and then realizes what he’s done and saves the world.

dream as ambrosius would mean he’s just hiding his emotions and doing his best to meet everyone else’s expectations, but he’s lied to and manipulated into hating tommy for being a “monster”. through it all he still cares for techno, but his sense of duty holds him back from really doing anything.

v v good movie i highly recommend it! sorry for the long ask lol

Rambling abt the half dream half nightmare that woke me up today below the cut. feel free to ignore, just need to vent it out somewhere. Probably going to include me talking abt Current Family Issues and Feelings so. yeah. TW for mentions of someone in hospital, death, religion, and overall family dysfunction lmao

I know that ultimately, right now, if something big and/or terrible happened medically to anyone in my family back in ND, I wouldn't be able to go see them. The money just isn't there (part of why I'm not going out there this summer nor are they coming out here at all.) I've accepted it, and I try not to think abt it.

That said, LOVE (read: HATE) my brain deciding a hyper realistic yet weird dream abt my mum winding up in hospital is the way to go this morning. Complete with:

-her bf refusing to speak to me abt it, and telling me not to bother going to visit her in the weird, somehow existing in both CT and ND simultaneously, hospital with a 'haven't you already been enough of a burden to her?'

-me staying in my grandparent's old house in ND, and for some reason that meant being wildly unable to get ready to go to the hospital. Finding my clothes was nearly impossible, but. all their old decorations were back up on the wall so even as I was searching for them I like. Didn't want to leave? As if the house would revert back to being sold like it has been irl, if i left it. Finally I wound up just stealing clothes from my grandfather's side of their closet (specifically his old 80s styled 'eagle on a tree branch' print sweater that he got forced to toss a few years ago bc it was becoming more holes than sweater, and one of his old, big leather jackets. somehow i found jeans that fit me, idk how considering i can't seem to do that irl rn but i digress)

-me showing up to the hospital FINALLY only for Noel Fielding?? to be sitting outside it with a friend dressed in what i can only describe as absolutely gorgeous future techno witch clothing. Unfortunately they were fucking dicks in this dream and scared the shit out of me by joking that 'it was so nice I'd shown up still despite the worst' and implying my mum had already passed. Noel did shout apologies as i stomped off inside and that as far as he knew she was still okay, but his friend is the one who handed me a wrapped in plastic, small, metal stool with a weird cartoon face on the seat so i could 'sit with her body, like sitting shiva, right?' (not like that at all to my knowledge, but then again my family has rarely to never fully followed any of the various religious rituals around death, we just. take the bits the dead person liked from them and ignore the rest, for better or for worse. Maybe that's just what happens when a family is a mishmash of various christian sorts from Catholic to Protestant with the hidden knowledge that actually, prior to ppl moving to the States, ppl in the family were Jewish but inter-marrying into Catholic families for safety-sake, and so any Jewish traditions used now are done wrongly and weirdly and in odd bits and pieces. At least that's as much as I've been told/have found out abt it, anyway)

-I proceed into this stupidly fancy and open concept hospital, to immediately find a hugr crowd mucking up the elevators (crowding the elevator bank and refusing to let others on.) That's where Con showed up, and helped me make it up the ridiculously wide, roundish staircases (think like. wide rounded stage steps, but for each level of this hospital), while also trying soothe me by telling me Housemate was already here and waiting for me, so were my grandparents and even Mum's bf (he promised to keep him away from me lol, it was v sweet in an otherwise filled with anxiety dream.)

-however, as we were struggling up the steps (also full of crowds, pushing each other around, so we literally had to hold hands and hold onto the railings and walls to avoid being shoved down the stairs), he kept hesitating on saying more abt mum. He tried to distract me by mentioning that, since I was here, the docs might want me to address some of my own health issues but that he wouldn't let them force me into any treatment i didn't want. Then he finally alluded to mum being in worse straits than I'd been told abt and said something to the effect of 'doing only what you can, not what she or others would expect of you' and 'not to set yourself on fire to keep someone else alive' plus admitting he was deeply worried my family was abt to force me into a big decision that absolutely wasn't the ONLY treatment option that would help mum, but it was implied to be the one mum's bf and my grandparents were pushing for.

-still dunno exactly what that option was, but just before i woke up i started hearing the latter part of the song Gethsemane from JCS (Housemate and I have been watching various versions irl this weekend lol), specifically the bit where Jesus dares/begs/etc God to see how he dies. This was accompanied by me finally reaching my mum's hospital room, and a stupid bright light emanating from it and like. Not to critique my own brain and the dream it created, but that was far too on the nose for me personally lmao.

-and I woke up thinking abt the call with my grandparents that I had on Thursday (didn't go super poorly but went. kind of weird and uncomfortable and confirmed again that like. they're happy for me being out here in CT, yet at the same time hold it and my happiness against me to some unconscious degree as originally outright confirmed by Mum in an earlier call her and I had like. Tail end of last year lmao. the main crux seeming to be 'why couldn't i find happiness in ND/what's wrong with all of them/why wasn't i willing to keep trying to make my life work in ND regardless of my happiness/don't i know how hard it is without my being there to help everyone whenever they ask/etc family bullshit')

And now I'm laying here thinking. If the Worst would happen for any of them, they would fully expect me to empty my bank accounts and do whatever else i had to, to get to ND not just to see them, but to help. to take care of as much as possible for them (mum and grandma get decision paralysed by sad/scary life events, my aunt is so uncomfortable with sickness and death she won't do hospital visits or funerals at all anymore for anyone, my cousins...are young enough they won't know how to handle it/won't want to, my grandpa tends to just shut down and isolate when things go to shit, and that's not to say that they all don't still get done things that need doing in these situations, but that they DO all usually need prodding and help and have leaned on me for that since i was a kid.)

And i would of course want to see them/help however i could, but. not to that extent. not to the point that I'd have nothing for myself, no money or help (bc they're not in a position to return that help or money to me, and they'd be so emotional as to likely be extremely offended and upset if i mentioned needing help myself.)

That said, I'm sick of silently daring them to watch me die just for their sakes, even tho i do still love them all dearly. and of course, that's entirely too dramatic but at the same time, Mum and I have had convos abt 'what if there's a shooting somewhere that we're at, how do we handle it, how are we attempting to protect each other' and Mum always says she would take a bullet for me, but she didn't protest when i say that I'd take one for her or anyone else in the family first. Last time she just nodded like. yeah. of course you would. so. Feelings, abt all of this.

Neferiu Records 2000 IDM / Drum n Bass / Techno

Got a pretty nifty debut comp here from a little Canadian label called Neferiu Records that seemed to specialize in IDM and hip hop throughout its ~thirteen-year tenure. Founded at the turn of the millennium by a guy named mantrakid—who supplies his own piece of experimental dub techno with "Live v. 1.0" on this very album—Neferiu was inspired by the music from a largely European digital subculture called the demoscene, in which groups of computer nerds would make cool and stunning audiovisual presentations called demos and enter them into competitions. Not very well-versed in this stuff myself, but looks like there's some playlists of awesome demos that have been made throughout the years up on YouTube. If you love old computer graphic art, I would suggest you definitely give those a look.

Anyway, being that the demoscene is a mostly European thing, it makes sense that with IDM and other related forms of computer-based electronic music being heavily driven by the internet itself, that a Canadian label would be able to recruit a bunch of European talent for its own releases. And that's exactly what seems to have happened here with this CD.

Now, I know that in the header for this post I've described this album as being IDM, drum n bass, and techno, but that's only because there are multiple tracks from each of those genres on here. Really, this is way more of an electronic music smorgasbord than I've let on. There's also a great lo-fi house track that sounds like it was recorded off of a cassette or something by Sweden's Lukas Nystrand, a piece of downtempo, and a drill n bass tune too.

But my absolute favorites on here are a pair of IDM tunes, one by a duo from Stockholm called Frank and Bill, and another by a Polish-Canadian duo called Ilkae. Frank and Bill contribute "Asfaw," a song with this little glint of a proto-trap edge in its beat that gets undergirded with some sweet, dusky pads at around the minute-mark, before continuing to add a slightly distorted chiptune-y melody to complete the package; and then Ilkae's "Kk," which is the very first track that they ever released together, seems to answer the question, "what if music box, but IDM?" Pleasantly placid chiming synths dominate this one, as they play over a constantly pecking, rhythmic bed.

And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention "Haloaw" by Helsinki's Lackluster too, an IDM tune with a much darker vibe than the rest of these. Lackluster's first 'major label' release was on the UK's deFocus, whose 12-inch sampler, Two You See?, I posted about just yesterday; and "Haloaw" also appears on another comp I've posted about in the past, one from Miami's Merck label called Squadron Sampler, which I said might just be the greatest IDM 12-inch comp that's ever been made, period 😯. That release also has Brothomstates and a teenaged Machinedrum on it.

In all honesty, I really didn't love *all* of this release, though. There are certain points where this album gets to feeling a bit listless and a little too out-there for me, personally. But still, as Neferiu puts it on their own Bandcamp page for this debut, "…you got yourself heat. Oldschool heat, but heat none-the-less." And that definitely rings true.

my all time favorite bits in tiny workers (that i can remember) are a. tommy being stuck in tipsy wil's pocket while he and schlatt walk around the park aimlessly, and b. the workers just launching water balloons at protestors 😭 SO either one of those, or or or equally as good: your favorite bit. because i am very curious what other people think of this au ,,,,

on their uniforms, they have their name stitched into the bottom of the cloth, but they realized it doesn't really work all that well, so they upgraded to the typical worker nametag, which leads to all of the workers crossing out their name and adding something different, or like adding things. tommy's added "innit" to the bottom, q put "big" in front of his and crossed off "uackity" ykyk all the fun stuff

and on the topic of uniforms, they also have stitched other stuff into it. tommy's added like a l'manburg flag after the dnd era thingy, tubbo's added a bee and a nuke, just stuff that kinda both relates to their lore reenactment or just them as a person ,,,,

one time techno came over with wilbur and tech just steals tommy from will (which COULD strike up some tw!tnt content but that's a different story) and they make it their day's goal to just break every single rule. except no smoking (based off of a thing me and my uncle do ever fall)

i've been trying very hard to think of attractions because i realized how much i need to do for 20k acres 😭 anyway i went to a theme park the other day and got to have some inspo. SO have some. one, imagine like. mascots. definitely would make the park more kid-oriented AND imagine just different characters from size media. like arrietty or some guy from the honey i shunk series

another one from hershey: i saw a few people with giant ass reversable octopuses and saw some girl sitting inside of it using it as a chair and LIKE imagine that but as a hand. u can win a giant hand at some arcade game 👀👀

imagine like a rollercoaster or waterslide that had a 3d effect or just had screens on the side that projected like a human coming after you, or some kind of bug/animal/etc

i mentioned a lego thing at one point and i know a lot of lego stores have a build-your-own lego, and imagine wil making one just to resemble tommy claiming that the figurine'll replace the kid JVJSDV

imagine another dnd game (much shorter) with the (entire) scu 👀 this time with a few strangers. ORRRRR i could make grizzly & bizly canon. maybe both tiny workers.

charlie'll be introduced then probably. he'll be a stranger prior to the campaign and after that charlie becomes a tiny bit of a regular.

i went to a planetarium yesterday and lemme tell u the g/t in me went BRRRR. it opened with like an eye over me looking around and at one point they made it look like you were getting closer to a telescope, which also looked like being trapped under a cup. SO imagine THAT in the park. just some kind of theater with a giant screen over you, maybe a first-person mini-movie about being a borrower ✨

btw; you got dream and george right last time, i was surprised because he does in fact live in a very mossy grove (its Mossy Decay in the map), always hides in the shadows and is VERY protective of his little place. when tommy first met dream he wandered a bit too deep in mossy decay and was ambushed by dream, nearly making it out alive

for george, he does in fact like napping a lot around Hills of Mildew (on the eastern side of the map) inside his own hut and doesnt really care about anything and only goes outside to stretch his legs and look at the horizon

theres an arena in barkals, people bet money and fight to the death for it, that's where Dream met techno! while techno was watching dream fight in the arena, he was impressed by his agility and strength and decided to challenge him to a duel outside of the arena. obviously, techno beat dream and thus begun their playful rivalry

WOO!!!! First off, I really love your art style. All the pen lines, especially in some of the older art, it's awesome. I wish I'd do more stuff like that

Anyway, I love these guys. The fire head design is sooo cool. Idk if its just your style or if it looks a certain way for a reason, but it reminds me of autumn leaves and sticks. Which feels apt, for something so nature-themed. A skrunkly guy, I bet he thinks he's the coolest kid on the block. I'd like to hear the thoughts behind those eyes xD

And Tommy feels so sitting. He's a Big man™ and he's got Belts and Such™, Dont Mess With Him !!!11!1!!!! And then you see those big goofy eyes <3 Yep, you're very intimidating and cool, Tommy~ Also him losing his wings reminds me of osmp. That there is one slightly above-average guy who cannot fly. He doesnt NEED to fly, he is simply built different. #trust

If c!Dream and c!George were to be in a hollow knight inspired world, that is simply what they would be doing, I don't make the rules. And hey, that means your character design did its job :D Pog

I'm also always in favor of any idea regarding a fighting arena. Dream would do numbers there, I'm sure. Glad to see the friendly rivalry exists <3

Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back

Hoth is awesome, such a cool change from the previous movies which were largely desert focused, strong start with luke instantly getting fucked on by the wampa and put in a perilous position. Was the force being able to move things new for this movie? because the original it was just mind control and like, psychic intuition to aim a torpedo, but here luke magnets the lightsaber into his hand. Obi-wans a ghost now, that's new and he's giving luke a quest to find a weird guy on dagobah. Also bacta tank! everyone loves bacta tank. Unsurprisingly, the empire finds the rebels, and AT-AT's are awesome, such a cool design, it's iconic, tieing their legs together and tripping them, AT-ST's are here too? I forgot about that, they're kind of only relevant on that forest planet. Anyways Dagobah! early Yoda is so weird, they definitely put more thought into him after this movie and in this he's kind of just a muppet, weird-ass gremlin freak, it's so odd considering basically everything about the future of yoda, they didn't know… Similarly to how our main hero (Luke) has a new old wise sensei (Yoda), our main villain (Vader), has an old wise sensei too, Palpatine is a very evil looking guy. Luke has his training arc etc etc the empire hires a bunch of bounty hunters, notably boba fett who only became relevant because of auxiliary content. Cloud city is cool, first big city type area we've seen I think, shock and awe tragic betrayal. Carbonite, scary stuff, good thing it's never used ever again on a second character for some reason? Luke and Vaders swordfight was good, it wasn't stupidly fancy like later movies, but it actually had money put into it unlike the first movie, also RIP Luke's hand. shocking revelations are had. Luke gets a new hand and the movie just ends there. I forgot it just kinda ends after the cloud city encounter, They probably already had the third movie planned and it didn't need to be super stand-alone like the first.

Immediately, things are looking very good in this movie, the probe droids are amazing, iconic. the tauntaun, also a pretty good design, the wampa less so it was kind of a yeti costume, a big and cool one but still. Once again, the set design is just amazing, so much techno greebles around, new environments that aren't interiors of spaceships or the desert, by which I mean there's snow and swamp and also the interiors of spaceships. And cloud city, cloud city looks nice

Final Review: Another solid entry in the star wars line-up, any potential complaints are just because of early installment odd-ness, and even that is minor
