Honestly decepticon prowl
I see his brain going 'if you can be ten steps ahead, why not be at LEAST twenty steps ahead?' to himself. In a mirror.
Barricade however seems rather clueless, not listening to certain things, communications officer with soundwave, barricade is the one to send in if someone HAS to be captured, he can endure a lot of mind games and trickery and has been known to come out with information instead of whatever falsities that he gave the autobots.
Prowl is smart, rarely seen, immoral, a walking grey line that somehow got on the decepticons side (?) however they aren't sure if he is, don't know where he is to get the upper hand of it to make sure he is.
Prowl knows enough about both sides he could stall the entire war, one side gets an advantage then the other gets lucky, and if a side pisses prowl off? They start losing for a little while, not enough to make a difference, but it happens.
The autobots... kind of know barricade, all of them know the tricky decepticon, except Red Alert, who knows barricade as a traitor. Why red alert? Because it's hard for anyone how knows him to question if he's serious or not. (Kill me I love idw version of red alert)
Anyway prowl being powerful yes... but in the mind way, Shockwave hates him.. only because Prowl throws a wrench in shockwaves backup plans, somehow, someway 'barricade' is curious and is known as a bad shot, he wanders, he is known to be an olay conversation, a little boring, but barricade is okay in everyone's book but shockwave..
Okay i gotta stop there, sorry to ramble... Imma go to my snacc collection now, hope you liked the ideas! đŹ
OH OH OH okay ahah okay I, I might really like to hear any rambles about people's ideas and looks on decepticon Prowl so feel free to ramble ahah Mmm, I think in Prowl's case it isn't an exaggeration to say that he needs to count 100+ moves ahead You just made he realise that he might end up being a good liar in such sircumstances? Like I always think of him as a bad liar because his face acts unproportionally to what he says. But his face movements are so barely noticable that maybe only Jazz and Red Alert could notice them (I didn't see enough of Red Alert in idw, I need more info on him I see people loving him pfehge) Barricade being clueless because he is busy coming up with the new tactical strategies while still doing him job so he loses some things he is said to. Oh god yes you made me realise that he is also sent on interrogations to get out information, autobots could learn about Barricade from here, a chance of someone running away. OH, Prowl is some kind of mistery just like Jazz. Prowl death bringer and Jazz life bringer to neutrals. One works undercover with decepticons, other undercover with autobots to help the ones who mustn't be involved in their war. (There would have been so many facts and details that shouldn't be on the front page but ahah let it be) OH Prowl was working with Primes. He was leading operations. He was responsible for Megatron's case when he was a gladiator. He knows enough of autobots' inner info. There is just one misconception. He was a Prowl back then. I wonder how he can trick everyone to believe Prowl is dead (seems easy but he wasn't a low figure to cover it was easily) unless he just made sure everyone who was working with him fell down under Prime's fire. I wonder if he changes his painting
OH mmm yes his plans could always be on the way of Soundwave's backup plans. So far in idw I saw that 1) Shockwave sometimes acts on his own too without Megatron knowing because he looks at possibilities of the world changing from the war 2) Soundwave ending up randomly anywhere ahah Pffffffht, "What do you mean you pissed off Prowl and we lost 3 squadrons a joor ago?!?""

!! suggestive (and mini smut) - minors dni; bimbo (fem)!reader has simon wrapped around her pinky (we luv to see it!); the squadâs here too; hinted age difference (30s v. 20s)
when they ask him where you two met, simon always tries his best to tamp down the smile threatening to grace his lips before clearing his throat and answering, "in the ER."
the questions that follow are always repetitive: 'what, why?', 'what happened?', 'how did things even go from there?' the last one is often paraphrased into some other versions, but the sentiment remains â people always get surprised, reduced into awkward stumbling because how could you even segue into a romantic relationship from having met in the ER?
well, simon thinks, it's actually quite fucking simple.
it was three in the morning and simon was in the lobby, waiting to be called in, when he saw you walk in: you clutched your broken heeled shoes in your hands, your beautiful legs were bearing injuries and cuts, and your hair was a wild mess. then, you ambled towards a baffled triage nurse.
"hi!" simon recalls your melodic voice echo, sounding too hyper even when you looked all banged up. "can i use y'r restroom? we got kicked outta the club."
simon was so focused on you that he didn't even notice the pack of girls following behind you, all of them looking just as haggard and bruised up. one of your friends was actually worryingly injured, so itâs no shock when the nurse rushed towards her, slightly panicked and confused before steering your friend away, leaving you there in the lobby.
then, you turned around, frowning at having been ignored, and it gave simon the best vantage point of finally seeing your face. he swears his heart stuttered in his chest, his lungs constricting, because holy shit, you are beautiful.
"then the rest is history," simon ends, pulling you close to him. any closer and you would have ended on his lap â something he preferred, anyway â but johnny continues to stare at the two of you with a slack jaw, his eyes almost bulging out in confusion so simon tries to keep it civil.
you giggle, and simon watches as the rest of the squad snap their eyes on you, as though expecting you to grace them with a better explanation. but simon knows that you probably don't even know what's going on, having been busy tapping away on your phone, your acrylics making distinct clacks as they hit the screen.
"i love the history channel," you singsong, batting your eyelashes as you give them a dimpled smile. "simmy-" simon almost coos at the nickname you gave him, "and i looove watching the penguins."
simon presses a kiss on the top of your head, ignoring the bewildered looks his squad is shooting him.
"that's the 'animal planet', love. not the history channel," simon corrects gently, rubbing his hand down your side.
"oh!" you say, unbothered by your mistake. "okay!"
and that was that.
"what the fuck," simon hears johnny wheeze out only to up making choking noises when kyle elbows him. simon ignores them, choosing to watch as you turn back to your phone, mass-retweeting a series of post made by the magazine catalogue that you've been following.
cute.
---------
"fuck," simon hisses, feeling the sharp edge of the kitchen knife slicing through the first layer of his skin. he watches the blood bead, trickling down his finger, and simon wipes it before it can stain the pristine green â "sage!" you tutted to him once â countertops.
"si?" you ask, padding towards the kitchen at the clamour. he feels you press yourself to his side, your perky tits nuzzling his robust muscles. "what's goin- y'r bleeding!"
he grunts, frowning at himself for having made you worry. he moves to reassure you that he's okay, but you're already tugging him out of the kitchen, your smaller hand wrapped around his thicker wrist.
god, he loves seeing the size difference.
you're wearing his military shirt, the material sliding down your body beautifully, before pooling just above your perky ass. simon unabashedly stares at the way your ass jiggles â hidden underneath the tiniest booty shorts he knows you own â his throat bone dry and his sweats filling up all of a sudden.
he barely realizes that you two are in the bathroom until you're steering him towards the edge of the bathtub before twisting to fish the emergency kit from the floor cabinets. simon almost groans at the perfect shape that your ass makes when you bend over, feeling himself throb with raging desire.
you pull out a pink emergency kit and skitter towards him again, slotting yourself between his spread legs. simon raises his hand â the uninjured one â to grasp at your waist, sliding it down to your hips, before giving it a reassuring squeeze.
"it's nothin' fatal, sweet'art," simon mumbles, thumbing your hipbone as he tries to comfort you.
you're still pouting at him when you say, "sure, i guess. but lemme help you?"
and who is simon to say no to that?
"of course, love."
he lets out a quiet chuckle when you press your glossed lips on his forehead, unbothered even when your lips leave a sticky stamp on his skin.
he watches you disinfect his wound with a strawberry-scented sanitizer before wrapping a pink adhesive bandage around it. his worries about having his open wound disinfected by a glittery sanitizer fade away when you picked his hand up to place a kiss on his now-bandaged finger.
glitter-induced infections no longer matter. not when simon's getting nursed to full health by such a pretty girl.
he licks the back of his teeth, clenching his jaw, and thinks, you deserve a reward, don't you, sweetness?
---------
johnny blanches when he sees the bandage around simon's finger. "LT, what in fuck's name is that?"
his loud voice snags the attention of garrick and their captain who ambled their way towards him upon hearing the commotion. garrick chokes on nothing when he sees the pink bandage that simon's sporting.
"bandage," simon replies, pride heavy in his voice. "from my girl."
johnny whirls and shoots a pointed look towards kyle and john. kyle is the one who breaks the silence.
"âŚare they safe for use?"
"what's the cat even bandaging?" johnny adds.
simon huffs, flicking his finger up to give the squad a better view. "firstly, this is 'hello kitty'. secondly, you questionin' my girlâs ability to care for me?"
john coughs, looking away, kyle arches a brow at him like the answer should be obvious, and johnny gulps loudly, before mumbling, "...yes."
simon sniffs, unable to blame them. "yeah, well, don't."
the squad is still quiet. waiting.
simon finally gives in and replies, "i checked. they're safe for use."
he rolls his eyes at their dramatic sigh.
"that's good to hear," john says before clapping his hands together once, urging them to disperse.
simon grumbles all the way back to his room.
---------
simon loves his pretty, dumb girlfriend to death.
he loves seeing you dolled up â skimpy dresses made of silk material paired with heels that could honestly stab someone to death. he also loves seeing you in nothing but his ratty jumpers â loose black sweaters stopping just after your crotch and the sleeves falling past your fingers.
but nothing tops seeing you naked and crying for him.
nothing could ever top this â your legs folded close to your chest, your ankles hooked on his shoulders, your pretty make up running as tears trickle from the corners of your eyes and flood your cheeks.
he thrusts his fingers in your cunt again, breathless when it punches out another slick gush of your squirt, drenching you two even more. you squeal, body locking, your hips lifting from the bed. simon has to press down on your belly to keep you stable.
"siii!" you cry out, thrashing on his hold, but simon just kisses your leg as he continues to fuck his fingers in you.
"shh," simon murmurs, feeling so choked up at the sight you make. "one more for me, yeah?"
you moan out a reply, a garbled mixture of 'yes' and his name, before wrapping your hands around his arms, your acrylics digging into his skin. simon doesn't even register the pain, still too caught up at fingering you to feel the way you're clawing him.
still too caught up at how perfect you are for him.
(later, when he checks the mirror and sees the angry red welts, simon purrs at the sight of them. because simon loves being marked by you, doesn't matter how, as long as he has bearings of your pleasure. pleasure he gave you.)
---------
simon receives a video message from you. itâs nothing long or conspicuous, but simon still chokes when he finally gets to watch it.
because in the video, youâre wearing simonâs old varsity shirt on top of your university cheer uniform.
âlook!â you chirp, twirling for him. âfound this in the closet!â
simon slams his captainâs door open and demands a vacation leave.
---------
the lieutenant has a new tattoo and johnny doesn't know what the actual shit it's supposed to be.
it looks like a wriggly blob of a... cloud? a cotton ball? candy floss?
it was still a somewhat fresh tattoo so simon never truly shows it off â johnny doesn't even know if it's worthy of being shown off â until one night at a bar, simon rolls up the sleeves of his jumper and leans to the squad to point at the blob.
"lookit," he slurs, tipsy and just a touch giddy.
finally, johnny cheers to himself before reaching forward to poke just beside the scribble.
"what's it?"
"mittens," their lieutenant croons, smiling down at his skin like a weirdo.
johnny has seen enough mittens to know that whatever that fucking squiggle is isn't mittens.
"uhm," kyle says, thankfully thinking along the same lines as johnny. "is it?"
"yeah," simon says wistfully, drunken in a lovesick way. "s'my girl's cat. she drew it f'r me."
oh. well, fuck. now that's just too cute.
wait.
"that's a drawing of a cat?" johnny rasps out, choking on his spit before turning to study the tattoo again.
it's still a fucking blob.
christ.

đPICK A CAKE!đ II Who is your fs? + General Messages ( this second part wasn't intentional, kinda just happened lol)
Pile 1: đ
⢠Your fs is very, very, very "segsy" I hear, haha (I was asked to spell it that way) they're giving me this very calming energy about them. They say "that's my mind baby" they're very flirtatious and could either be black, mixed or middle eastern, perhaps Arabic. This is more of my ethnic pile. I do sense there's the chance one of them has a beardâ
Ooooh wait, one of them? Is there 2? Here I'm getting more of a masculine energy here so could it be you're not sure who your fs is and you're just debating what it is that you want? That's alright. I don't think that you're battling between 2 people, I think you're battling between 2 versions of yourself and 2 different ideals. What it is that you want and you think that you need. Or perhaps you might have a misunderstanding of what the kind of guy you want is. I'm getting some of you are in a relationship right now and you feel like things just don't connect. "You're a princess" for some of you, your father treats you well, listen to them because it's true when they say that you deserve better. Or perhaps you're involved in an arranged marriage, I feel that you still have the chance to step away from this it doesn't matter how far along you've been in this game, speak up now or forever hold your peace...
Anyways, I feel that your type is "the bad guy" maybe you like older guys or you currently like an older guy. If not I'm getting some of you, the person that you like is your fs but you're too stuck in your mind, waiting to be saved to realize it, that they're more than happy to develop something with you but while you dont have to take the lead, it's important to take the initiative and let yourself be known, let yourself say that you're interested, it's okay to let yourself be "saved" and pulled away from all of this but only if you tell them, otherwise they're going to keep on sitting back on their motorbike, completely unaware of your feelings. For a lot of you, you already know this person but they havent realized their feelings yet. Spark that initial light and set it all ablaze, they'll follow along and take care of the rest. But you have to communicate, they assume their silence is "self-respect" and they dont see you as a damsel in distress, reflect for sometime and see how you would like to go about all of this.
But in short terms who is your fs??
A guy that you already know that is somehow always on your mind even if you dont think about him much or hold heavy romantic feelings for him at the moment.
But just know this If you need it, he wants me to tell you: "I think about you too." For some of you "I think about THAT" too" perhaps a moment happened between the both of you. Be attentive and careful yes, but ultimately, at the end of this game we call life we all die. So follow your heart, choose your own path and cause a little chaos if you have to. But most of all, make sure you have fun đ
I'm sorry if I didnt answer your question, but this is what's coming in.
Pile 2: đ§Ą
⢠Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! Wow! Jeez, your first impression of this guy is going to be bizarre is not jaw dropping. They almost feel like they're a celebrity! If they're not a celebrity I feel like they're like a celebrity-look-a-like, they have a very similar face, tone of voice, even a matter of walking as someone that you like. This might be a singer/song-writter, actor for some or even a YouTube. I'm getting they might be in college and they could be white, I keep seeing Timothee Chalamet in my head but I'm getting he's more of a Tom Holland kind of guy, while your fs looks exactly how you want, he is a little bit more of the masculine kind. And for those of you who are a masc energy reading this I get the sense that, much like my fem readers I get the feeling maybe some of you actually want that "spiderman" type of love or a Tom Holland and Zendaya kind of scene about the two of you. I feel like you might, but I'm also getting that you need to not let yourself fall in a daydream too much, not because you wont have this but because you shouldn't reduce your partners and future romantic relationships into just this. I get the feeling that for some of you, your fs isn't who or how you think they are but they have traits of how believe they could be and what it is that you envision them like. But you should be flexible with this, just a little bit, I promise you'll have your dream come true but for many of you, he may sound a bit "manlier" perhaps you wanted him to have softer, more delicate features and he does but those traits dont encapsulate him entirely and for my fems, perhaps she may not be as tall as you like and maybe she might not hold traits like Zendaya but she's definitely gonna be your type. This energy Is just now coming in but some of you may be lgbt, have many types or simply are poly. That's great! But the same messages apply to you, you'll have your dream! You can have your cake and eat it too! But you have to step back for a minute and reflect for something, who are you? What kind of life do you want? Who do you want to be with? Why? Why not? I'm not saying tear yourself into parts but I'm really getting some of you ( I'm hearing "us" some of you dont separate yourselves from a group and see yourselves as individual persons in society and instead as a "unit" while is great, you are more than that) succumb yourselves to a lot of subcultures or reality just societal ideals of what you believe your life should look like. Take inspiration and make your own life worth living and stop looking at everybody else's as the "perfect guide book" to follow. There is no perfect anything and it's incredibly harmful to yourself and others to believe that there is, you dont know why people are the way they are or what happens behind closed doors. Follow your own path and make something beautiful out of you, even if it resembles somebody else's or looks completely different. Some of you need to come out the closet, haha, (once you feel safe and comfortable to do so of course). I'm been pulling in many directions in this pile so I'm going to cut it here. Know that you are okay and that the path you seek will find you but you need to let yourself realize that you're a unique individual with a mind of their own, let yourself have fun on the path that you walk on and choose if you want this one or not. You can get on an off of it as many times as you want and even choose a new one as many times as you like.
In short words, who is your fs? For some of you, you dont want a future spouse, you just want a life partner and a friend a you will find that, you will find the people who match you and fall into the right place. â For others of you, know that your future spouse is currently looking for you and they are exactly as you envision, if not better. The only thing about them is that you might have a couple traits off such as their nose or skin tone and perhaps ethnicity. They might have some "imperfections" as well that you might not think of, maybe they have braces and for some of you I'm hearing "knee surgery" so it's likely one of them has had an injury and either has a scar they're worried about or they have a slight subtle awkwardness to their walk. Dont worry so much about this, some of you overthink about these imperfections and for many of you I'm getting they're not even there and you're just anxious, I promise you'll be okay, haha. The universe knows your heart and it is good and full of love and that love will go into the right hands. You'll be alright, now go rest your pretty head, some of yall have been up all night đ¤đ¤
Pile 3: đ
⢠Wow. I cant even tap into your energy, I just tapped immediately into theirs. This personal is serious, this person means BUSINESS maybe even HAVE a business. They're not playing, they seriously want a commitment. I'm getting that they're a "hot mess" but they may just be very passionate. Much like pile 1 this personal may be black, if male brown skin, tall, tall, tall~ and very endearing gentle eyes. If she's a woman then by LORD she's gorgeous, likely darkskin, clear skin, lip gloss and possibly Christian, she takes her faith very seriously but as serious as she may be or come off she's actually so silly and goofy and just the sweetest soul to have around. She wont play about you. This won't apply to all of you but for some of you this person might be mixed and freckled or a red head, possibly a July Leo (or this might just be you) though this is for a few of you so take only what resonates. Your fs is very well read and well spoken, they're very educated although I'm getting for some of them they never went to college, for a few of you though they already have their masters or are on their way of getting it. They might have a similar background to you and or have the same political beliefs. Honestly what I'm getting from this is almost like a "background check" kind of vibe haha, they're like handing me a clip board and having me be your middle man and "vet" for them, I feel like you might be "hard to approach" or you dont just let ANYBODY in your energy like that, you dont just give anyone YOUR time of day and they're aware of that so they're not playing ANY games and getting straight to it and letting you know straight away why they are a great candidate for being your one and only partner. Although I am getting that they are kind of "flawed", not flawed as in bad but flawed as in, they come off as perfect but I believe you may somehow see through it, that while they are very confident and self sufficient and honestly, very, very, very remarkable, reliable and most of all loyal and dependable, they genuinely are a great catch..while you know all this you also know how they seem to be missing a piece of themselves, theres a loneliness in this and it's very gentle, very tender and childlike. They're very mature but ultimately, they just want love. They want love at it's rawest, purest form, they want to be infatuated with you, by you, lost in you, they want to crave you and admire you and receive at least fraction of that same love as well if possible. They're are a hopeless romantic and altho they may not show it at first I feel like you'll get that first wall to crumble without much effort, the rest of it will simply just dissolve the moment you're finally with them. This person wants something serious and if it applies for some of you even marriage and children or both. But even if you dont want this, it doesn't matter because they only see you and not a check list of things to cross out. They want to share something true with you and see how it blossoms into something beautiful.
This one has heavyyyyy 18+ messages in them, it was hard to hold back from typing them but for a lot of you before you go off doing the do with this person know that they are INTOXICATINGGGGG and soooooooo irresistible and they treat you sooooo so good so WRAP IT UP!!! BECAUSE THE TWO OF YOU HAVE VERY MATCHING ENERGIES AND ARE VERY VERY FERTILE SO IF YOURE NOT USING SOME KIND OF CONTRACEPTION (birth control, condom etc) YOUÂ W I L LÂ HAVE BABIES!!! đźđśđźđśđđ
Safe sex = Great sex, take care nowâ
(I'm being so serious, wrap it up, some of yall dont listen, I get the heat of the moment might be fun or take you in but babies are a serious 18 year long commitment and if you're not ready for that please don't be hard headed and keep you and your partner safe. Thanks!! That's all bye! đđđ)

Not-So Secretive Rendezvous
Pairing:Â Spencer Reid x Female!Reader
Word Count:Â ~2k
Warnings:Â smut, fem!receiving, age gap
Request by anon: I'd love a Spencer X Fem Reader thing, say season 3-4 prince charming hair version ya know? That era is totally hot. Anyway, reader is Hotch's sister or Daughter, 10 year age gap between reader & Spence. I'm a total sucker for a forbidden, sneaking, secretive thing with them getting caught in a very compromising position. Hotch is fine with it but disappointed they didn't clear it with him. Maybe she works in the BAU but maybe not? Some hot spice with his awkward self. I always have a thought of him being so awkward around women in social situations like with JJ in the baseball game stuff, but with his Eidetic memory he definitely knows how to please women for sure.  Any other details i'll leave you with free rein!
Summary: You and Spencer are a new couple that is hiding your relationship from the team for two reasons. Hotch is your dad and Spencer is ten years older than you are. That doesnât stop you from being with him. Not your dad and certainly not an office full of people.
Square Filled:Â public sex/voyeurism (2021) for @cm-kinkbingo
Authorâs Note:Â any and all comments are appreciated <3
x
There are two reasons why youâre at the BAU--Spencer and Hotch. This is the place you want to work when you have the proper training and have done everything thatâs required of you. You graduated high school before summer started and now youâre taking college classes with a degree in criminal justice while also getting in some hours at the police academy. It doesnât hurt that your dad is the unit chief of the BAU, but you try not to let that affect how well youâre doing in and out of school.
The other reason is Spencer Reid. You two immediately hit it off when you first met and heâs been showing you around as much as he can without getting in trouble. He canât tell you much about the cases the team has but he can give you advice and pointers for when you get a job here. Derek helps you with the physical stuff while Spencer is your own personal library book that just so happens to have all the answers youâre searching for.
After a few months of visiting your dad and the team, you and Spencer developed a relationship that only you two know about. Keeping your relationships a secret isnât something you normally do because if you like someone, youâre all about showing them off to everyone. However, you and Spencer are ten years apart in age, and you donât think your dad will appreciate his eighteen-year-old daughter hooking up with his twenty-eight-year-old subordinate.
Itâs not a big deal to you and Spencer since youâre not newly eighteen. Itâs September and you turned eighteen back in January. Heâs been so good to you and is such a gentleman. Heâs a romantic and loves taking you out on dates as much as he can. Your favorite date is when he puts a tent on the roof of his building, makes everything for a picnic, and you two spend the night stargazing there.
Unlike now when your visit is anything but romantic.
Itâs been over a week since youâve seen Spencer and youâre craving his touch. Youâre not normally a sex-crazed teenager but youâre ovulating and you really need to feel his body on yours. Youâre not ready for kids and you donât know if or when you will be, so youâll be using condoms because itâs a terrible time to get pregnant.
Not to mention your dad will quite literally kill Spencer.
âHey, Y/N, what are you doing here?â Derek asks when he sees you.
âJust wanted to stop by to say hi. I hear the B Team is out right now so what better time to come?â
âYour dad is in his office.â
âWhereâs Spencer.â
âBathroom.â
âOkay, Iâll wait for him. Thanks.â
You turn to leave but Derek stops you.
âHey, weâre still on for tomorrow, right?â
âYeah, Iâm ready to learn that new self-defense technique.â
You walk straight for Spencerâs desk only to walk right past it and toward the bathrooms. Derek smirks and shakes his head knowing youâre not here to see your dad at all. Spencer comes out of the bathroom with his phone in his hand so he doesnât see you right away. You open the door to an empty office and wait for him to pass by it before grabbing his arm and pulling him inside.
âWha--?â He looks up and smiles when he sees itâs you. âHey, baby. I didnât know you were coming today.â You close and lock the door before shutting the blinds so that no one can look inside. âWhat are you doing?â
âCome here.â
You pull Spencer in and kiss him without warning, and he grips your hips not too hard. He gets lost in the kiss before the alarm bells ring in his head.
âWait, wait, wait.â Spencer pulls away from you but youâre not done kissing him. You back up into the desk and sit on it while kissing down his neck. âNot that Iâm not happy to see you but we canât do this here.â
âWhy not? Donât you want me?â
âOf course I do.â
âThen get me naked and fuck me.â Itâs hard to think when all Spencer is thinking about is getting you naked. Heâs not a sex machine who wants it all the time but it has been a week since heâs seen you, and the last case he went on was very stressful. âSchool has been stressing me out and I really just want some dirty sex with you.â
You donât have to tell him twice. He spreads your legs and steps in between them before kissing you again. He runs his hands down your thighs and back up, only to slip them underneath your dress. You wanted to make sure you gave Spencer easy access. He expected to feel a barrier between his fingers and your pussy but there is none.
âYouâre not wearing any panties?â
âI came here for one thing and one thing only,â you grin. âI wanted to make this easier for you.â
Spencer rolls his head back and cracks his neck before sinking to his knees. Heâs not an expert in this department but heâs read enough books and watched enough amateur porn to know what heâs doing. He places a hand on your chest, pushes you down onto the desk, and bunches your dress around your waist.
âRemember, weâre at work and your dadâs office is right down the hall. You gotta be quiet.â
Youâre about to respond when Spencer latches onto your clit. You slap a hand over your mouth to muffle the moan that slips out. It would be a disaster if your dad found out about this⌠or anyone. He kitten licks your clit and circles it before sliding his tongue down to your slit. He straightens his tongue and pushes inside of you, and his right-hand hooks up and over your leg so that he can rub your clit in hard fast circles.
âFuck, Spencer, right there,â you gasp quietly.
âGod, you taste so good,â he mumbles. âI canât ever get enough.â
You reach down and slide your fingers into his hair before tugging on it gently. This is the exact reason why heâs been growing his hair out. He loves it when you tug on his hair. His mouth and fingers switch positions so that heâs sucking on your clit and sliding a finger into your tight hole. You squeal a bit loudly at the sudden change in pressure, and you bite down on your lower lip to prevent yourself from crying out again.
âPlease, Spencer, I need more,â you moan.
He slides in another finger and curls them both so that heâs touching the spot that makes you see stars.
âAre you close?â
âYes, fuck, yes.â
âDo you want to come?â
âYes, please, Spencer,â you moan.
âGo ahead, darling.â
He gives a particularly hard suck on your clit that makes you come all over his face. He removes his fingers and laps up every drop you give him before standing to his full height.
âGod, youâre so good at that.â You pull him down and kiss him, not minding that you can taste yourself on his lips. âI need to come again. I have a condom in the pocket of my dress.â
âYouâre so needy,â he grins but doesnât refuse you.
He pulls away and takes the condom you give him before unbuckling his pants. Heâs always awkward at this part because he still canât believe that he has someone who is interested in him like this. Heâs not ripped like Derek or as confident as him but you like him because heâs none of those things. You love how socially awkward he is. You love his ramblings. You especially love it when he tells you random facts that have you questioning how he came to know that in the first place.
Spencer pulls his cock out and you almost salivate at the sight of it. Youâve given him blow jobs before but there will never be a time when you donât want to suck him off. However this time, you just need him to be in you. He takes out the condom from the package and carefully rolls it onto his hard cock.
âAre you sure you want to do this?â
âYes, Spencer, please. Just get in me.â
You spread your legs wider and allow him to step closer to you. He pumps himself twice before lining himself up at your entrance. You toss your head back and gasp at the one⌠three⌠seven inches of him until he is fully seated inside of you.
âLet me know when youâre ready,â Spencer groans.
âIâm ready. Please, Spencer,â you beg.
He doesnât want to be too loud so he doesnât fuck you as hard as he wants to. He starts at a normal pace before slowly picking up speed, and youâre trying to stop the moans from coming out but failing. He covers your mouth with his hand as if that will stop you from moaning his name.
Itâs been a long and stressful time for you both so it doesnât take long for the two of you to get close to the edge.
âFuck, Iâm gonna come.â Hearing Spencer swear when he normally doesnât is so hot. He hates swearing since he has such a big range of vocabulary that he can use, but he canât help it when you feel like Heaven. âAre you close?â You nod wordlessly since Spencerâs hand is still over your mouth. âCome with me. One.â Thrust. âTwo.â Thrust. âThree.â
You explode all over him just as he fills the condom up. He rides out both your highs as much as he can before slowing down. He removes his hand and you gasp when you feel him start to pull out of you.
âI donât know how you havenât had more girlfriends before,â you laugh as you pant.
âItâs usually my incessant need to ramble that drives them away.â
He takes the condom off and ties it at the end before pocketing it., He doesnât want anyone to find it in the trashcan so heâll throw it out in the dumpster outside.
âHave you seen Y/N? I saw her come in earlier.â
You freeze when you hear your dadâs voice outside the office.
âI think she went to see Garcia. You should ask her,â Rossi responds from right by the door. You hear your dad walk away before Rossi knocks twice on the door. âYou two arenât very quiet or sneaky.â
âShit, I should go,â you giggle. You fix your dress and Spencer tucks himself back into his pants. The room smells like sex but youâre sure it will air out by the time anyone else comes in here. âI love you and I canât wait to see you on Sunday.â
You lean in and kiss Spencer before unlocking the door.
âI love you, too,â Spencer grins. âWe should do this again sometime.â
âOh, we definitely are.â You open the door and notice Rossi is in the break room. You make sure the coast is clear before leaving the office. You turn the corner and go crashing into your dad. âDaddy, hi. I was just looking for you. Someone said you wanted to see me?â
Hotch looks up and sees Spencer leave the office from which you just came out. He didnât bother fixing his hair as much as he should have so itâs a big messed up from how much you were tugging on it, and your lipstick is a bit smudged from Spencerâs hand over your mouth.
Hotch isnât an idiot.
âMy office. Now.â
You look up to see him looking at someone behind you. You look back and see Spencer staring at Hotch with wide, fearful eyes.
âDaddy, listen--â
âDonât you have a class to go study for? Reid, now.â
âYes, sir,â he nods and scurries past you to get to his office.
âDaddy, I love him. Please donât kill him. Iâll talk to you later.â
You leave before your dad can say anything else. Hotch isnât mad that Spencer is seeing his daughter. Heâs upset that you two hid it from him. Heâs not gonna kill Spencer but it is sure going to be fun to watch him squirm because he thinks he is.

hello mr wil wheaton when you were my age (like exactly i think) you were filming stand by me
I turned 13 during production, so if you're about to become a teenager, I hope you'll let me offer some thoughts that I wish an adult had shared with me, then?
I know this is a wall of text, and giving someone this much of your attention is a HUGE ask. Maybe bookmark this for another time, if you're not into hearing an old man talk.
I wrote this a few days before I turned 50. Thank you in advance for listening, and I wish you a life filled with joy, unconditional love, kindness, and adventure.
Hey everyone! An old man is talking!
In seven days, I will be 50 years-old. This is ... weird. I do not feel the way I expected I would feel when I was approaching 50, nor do any of my friends. The only time I feel like I'm middle-aged is when my body does some bullshit that takes me down for hours because I had the nerve to stand up quickly. And I really hate it when I have to use the flashlight on my phone to see a menu. I mean, at that point, I may as well be dropping my pants for free and singing the Old Gray Mare.
Anyway. This has been on my mind for a little bit, so I had something to say when someone used my tumblr ask me thingy earlier this week:
Q: I hope I'm as cool as you when I'm 49. I'd like to think I'm taking the right steps towards that version of myself. A: So I'm not sure I'm cool, but I do know that I don't suck, and that it's a choice I make every day. I desperately wish someone in my family had told me, or shown me by example, that getting older doesn't mean getting stupid and boring and stuffy and extremely uncool. I wish I'd known that, because I spent all of my life until I was in my 40s feeling like there was this day coming very soon when I would have to stop listening to punk, stop playing video games, put on a suit, and start yelling at kids for no good reason. I didn't know that you don't have to suddenly stop being who you are and become something or someone you hate, just because of a certain age. I know that's super obvious, but to young me, it was not. My dad was an asshole, my mom never showed up for me. Directors and people on set had been treating me like a thing for my entire life. I got yelled at for no reason from adults who knew better almost every day. Most of my elementary school teachers were authoritarian, evangelical assholes. All of these different adults, consistently, shut me down and made me feel like I didn't matter, the things I liked were stupid, and my opinions were invalid because of reasons I didn't understand because I was a dumb kid. So I presumed that when you got to be a certain age, that's what happened. I didn't want to be that, at all, and I was sincerely afraid of the day it would happen. But as I got older, I discovered that all that stuff I hated about adults doesn't automatically happen. Those adults I just mentioned all made a choice to be an asshole. I just didn't know it. I was in my early 20s when I did a movie with a cinematographer who was, I think, 45 at the time. He was the coolest, kindest, most artistic dude I'd ever known. He mentored me and we had epic fun making great art together. I remember telling him, "I'm not afraid of being in my 40s like I used to be. I didn't know you could still be cool." It's sad, that I grew up in such a toxic environment, and didn't know any of these things. So, 9 days before I turn 50, here are a couple things I have figured out: You know who sucks when they hit 49 and 50? People who sucked when they were 20 and never grew up. You know who is an asshole at 49 and 50? Yep. Someone who was an asshole as a kid and never experienced consequences for being an asshole. Hitting middle age has been awesome for me. Other than the aging of my body and its reluctance / refusal to do what I want it to do, I love everything about it. I wish I hadn't spent so much of my life being afraid that, when I hit 50, it was all over. Because honestly it's kind of just starting. The coolest stuff in my life to date has all happened in the last ten years, and I'm so grateful that it coincided with me figuring out a lot of shit so I could enjoy it.
The best part of getting older, by several thousand light years, is the part where we figure out how to stop putting up with other people's bullshit, and we contract our social circle until it's only populated with a VERY few people who deserve us. And I am incredibly grateful for these occasional opportunities to be a 49 year-old dad who can say all the things that would have been reassuring for 19 year-old me to hear (he wouldn't have understood, but 29 year-old me would have remembered, and he would have understood. I think.) I sincerely hope someone hears it and finds it helpful. Anyway, you're gonna be fine. Just remember that being cool, kind, honest, honorable, reliable, listening and showing up ⌠they are all choices. If you want to be cool when you're 49, make the choice and set the example for someone to follow you. Treat kids the way you wanted to be treated when you were young. Listen to them when they offer you the privilege, because that means they trust you, and you have credibility with them. Be a mentor. Be supportive. Show up. Make a choice to be the person you need in the world, and never stop being that person. Start today, and when you're nearing 50 like I am, hopefully you'll remember who you needed right now, so you can be that person to someone else in the future. You're already asking the right questions and taking the first steps. I believe in you. You've got this.
Okay, if you've come this far, perhaps you'll follow me a little bit more, and read a thing I wrote about talking to students just a tiny bit older than you, which contains my core values.
Be honest. Iâm a very old man, relative to yâall, and Iâve learned that the only currency that really matters in this world is the truth.
Be honorable. This dovetails with number one. You attract to yourself what you put into the world. Dishonorable people will take everything from you and leave you with nothing. Do your best to be a person they arenât attracted to.
Work hard. I donât mean, like, at your crappy minimum wage job you hate. I mean do the hard work that makes relationships work, that gets you ahead in your education, that gets you closer to your goals. Everything worth doing is hard. Everything worth doing requires hard work. Sooner or later, youâre going to run into something in your life thatâs really hard, and youâll want to give up, but itâs something you care so much about, youâll do whatever you can to achieve it. Itâs going to be hard, but itâs going to be less hard for someone who has practiced doing the hard things all along, than it is for someone who doesnât know how to do the hard work because theyâve always chosen the easy path.
Always do your best. Even if you donât get the result you wanted, doing your best â which will vary from day to day, moment to moment â is all you can ever do. We tell athletes to leave it all on the field. Whatever your version of that is, do it.
This is the most important one. This is the one I hope youâll all hear and embrace. This is the one I hope youâll share with your peers: Always be kind.â
When I read number 5, I looked up at them. I was so happy to see a classroom filled with teenagers who were all listening intently, even the ones I thought had tuned me out. âHereâs the thing about being Kind, versus being Nice,â I said. âI have interacted with lots of nice people who are incredibly unkind. Why is that? How do you choose to be nice but not kind?â
I pointed to my head. âThis is where nice comes from,â I said. Then, I put my hand over my heart. âThis is where kind comes from.â I put my hands out, like, âget it?â
There was this collective gasp of realization that I did not expect, at all. One kid said âOh damn!â I saw a few kids look at each other like the trick had just been explained to them. They heard me. They really, really heard me. And it was amazing.
Okay, that's all. If you're still here, thank you for giving me so much of your time and attention. I hope you'll come back in a few years, and let me know how you're doing.

pairing: 14th doctor x reader & 10th doctor x reader
rating: E
notes: no gender or age given for reader, just that you last saw the doctor fifteen years ago. thank you to @mcganns for being my beta!!
This too shall pass.
It was a sentiment that you had to cling onto when he left, because fuck knows it was the most painful thing youâd ever felt. And youâd run away from actual explosions before. Big ones, in space! Supernovas which could eat entire planets while you hung onto the side of a little blue box.Â
And yet none of it even begins to compare to when he fucking left you.Â
He said it wouldnât be forever. Well, he shouted it at you as you fell out of the TARDIS. There was a time explosion, and you got rocketed back to your little flat in the middle of Hackney, on Earth only a few days from when heâd picked you up â but in your reality months of adventure had passed.Â
Youâd not really settled back in, certain that he was going to come and rescue you. But then days turned into weeks into months and you finally accepted that the Doctor had abandoned you.Â
So you went back to it all. Your mundane little existence before a mad, brilliant man had whisked you away. Your boss was a bit miffed that youâd gone AWOL but you were their best employee so they couldnât afford to let you go, all you got was a slap on the wrist and a command not to let it happen again. The people you loved didnât really seem to notice your absence that much, which stung; you couldnât blame them though. Youâd probably not miss you much either.Â
The Doctor. He made you feel special in a way nobody had before. Like you were the centre of a whole, giant, fantastic universe, and he adored you for it.Â
Still.Â
No point mulling that over again, is there?
Fifteen years. Things did get better. You moved on eventually. But you still find your thoughts drifting back to him every once in a while, and that fragment of time you spent totally utterly in love with each other. When you think about the way he kissed you, without realising it you end up touching your lips.
No. No. Stop.Â
The singing of the kettle snaps you back into reality, and you pour yourself a hot cuppa. Ah, tea. The antidote to everything. You go to turn the radio on for some company as you shift into your morning routine when you hear a knock at the door.Â
Probably the postie. Heâs a bit early today, you think, but make no more of it as you undo the latch and open the door.Â
Your heart stops.Â
Because there he is, of course.Â
Older. Weathered. Not the young man you once knew but a grownup version of him, as exhausted by life as you are.Â
You drop your mug. Quick as a flash the Doctor grabs it out of midair. The tea sloshes onto the floor but at least nothing gets shattered.Â
He goes to look up at you, but his attention is drawn back to his hand.Â
âI bought you this mug years ago,â he says, utterly amazed.Â
You shut the door in his face.Â
Well, you try to, anyway. But he sticks a foot in between the door and the frame, with one of those stupid Converse he always wears.
âI know youâre angry, I know. But please let me come in.â
Itâs such an absurd statement you find yourself laughing, a high and desperate noise.Â
âAbsolutely not!â Actually, no. Thatâs not enough. âHow dare you. Why are you even here?!â
âBecause I wantedâ I needed to see you.â
You still want to slam the door on him, but thereâs a desperation to his voice that gives you pause. And when he looks at you with those sad, puppy-dog eyes? Those eyes as lined with age as you are?
Fuck. Youâre so weak.Â
So thatâs how you find the Doctor sitting at your kitchen table with a cup of tea in front of him. You lean against the counter, defences still up, eyeing him from over the top of your mug. He drums his fingers against the tablecloth.Â
âI like your house. Your calendar is nice, I enjoy the kitten motif.â
âDonât,â you spit, slamming the mug down and sloshing tea onto the floor, âdonât you dare. You donât get to waltz back here and start telling me âoh, I enjoy your furnishings, havenât you made a nice little life for yourself since I abandoned you!â I let you in to speak your piece, though god knows why. Say it and be done.â
The Doctor looks deflated. His shoulders sag, mouth falls. You take a moment to properly look at him. He seems⌠tired. Tired in a way you never knew him to be when you went on your adventures. Part of you wants to offer comfort, but the other part of you wants to withhold it maliciously. Anything to make him feel the way you felt.Â
âI looked for you,â is what he settles on, heavily. You didnât expect that, and it knocks you.Â
âWhat?â
âI did. After the explosion, I tried searching all over the galaxy for you. I didnât know where - when - youâd ended up. I scanned and scanned but something stopped you from appearing on the TARDISâs sensors. I think⌠the amount of artron energy emitted during the blast somehow cloaked you.â
You say nothing, your silence an invitation for him to continue his explanation.Â
âIt took years. Literal years, for me. Every spare moment I had, I dedicated to looking for you. Head buried in the circuitry of the TARDIS, trying to fix whatever was hiding you, gave myself a couple of nasty shocks too. And, when I finally tracked you down, Iâd regenerated.â
You blink. Right. Yes. Heâd explained that, but youâd never seen it with your own eyes. The same person, a different face.Â
âI didnât know if youâd want to see me if I didnât look like me. But I had to try anyway, didnât I? So I came here. To your house. I got myself all ready for it, knocked on your door⌠and found that you were married.â
Your fingers grip the counter.Â
âOh.â
âHe seemed nice. Loved you a lot, as you deserved. And I couldnât tell you I was back, could I? I saw you pottering around in the kitchen, making the tea - you were always the best at making tea - and you were happy. How could I ask you to leave that all, uproot the life youâd made for yourself, just to jump back in the TARDIS with me? How could I be so cruel? I couldnât, could I. So I left again. Tried to move on. Like you did.â
Youâre crying now. You can feel hot tears slide down your face and soak into your jumper.Â
âOh, Doctor,â you manage. You want to tell him so much. It feels like it might burst out of you. But instead you settle on:
âWhy now?â
He smiles thinly.Â
âBecause somehow I got this face back, and I wanted to see you. I wanted to be selfish for once.â
You find yourself at the table, on the wonky chair opposite him, sliding your hand over to cover his. Itâs rough and warm. Just like you remember. He says your name with reverence, but like it pains him.Â
âI never stopped loving you. Ever. Through it all, every adventure, I knew it wasnât complete because you werenât there. It just wasnât the same without wonderful, brilliant you,â he admits. He sounds defeated. It breaks your heart â or, actually, it might just put it back together again.Â
A beat passes. His confession lingers in the air, heavy, thick and choking like smoke from an untameable fire.Â
âHis name was Simon. He was a baker. He was lovely, actually⌠and we got divorced two years ago.â
The Doctorâs brow furrows.Â
âYou⌠what⌠why?â
âBecause he knew there was someone else I never really let go of. Someone else who, despite everything, I still loved.â
He looks you in the eyes, and you see something glimmer there that you long since gave up on.Â
Hope.Â
And then, suddenly, youâre kissing.Â
Itâs like nothing has changed. His lips are still rough and searching on yours, a hint of tongue giving away into more the deeper you entangle. He sits you up on the table and steps into the space left by your spread legs, and between each kiss he says your name. Itâs full of adoration but lined with desperation, too.Â
Like the kisses he gave you the first night you laid together, on a bed in his spaceship floating across the galaxy. When he buried himself inside you and you felt his two hearts beat in rhythm with your own.Â
âDoctorâŚâ you manage.Â
Fuck. You need him. You didnât realise how badly you needed him. You didnât realise a piece of your soul has been missing this whole time, fucking torn out of you and leaving a jagged hole in its wake. And him, back, telling you he loves you and always has? Youâre patched together like kintsugi.Â
Your Doctor is the molten gold you need.Â
âPlease. I need toâŚâ heâs so desperate he can barely get the words out, but you nod; heâs undoing the belt buckle of your jeans and pulling them off like theyâre silk. When his thin waist meets yours you cross your ankles behind him and lock him into place, and his hands - a little fumbling, a little nervous to be mapping out the plain of you again - begin to trace your chest. You lean into his touch to let him know yes. This is okay. I want this. Make me whole again.Â
His warm, rough palms slide under the hem of your shirt and lift it easily over your head, the only break in a while you take from your kiss. You let yourself grab his tie to bring him closer. Heâs fully dressed still and youâre almost naked; you remember how he used to like that, enjoy feeling a bit more put together than you. Cheeky blighter. Still though, as his suit scratches your skin, you canât say you donât agree.Â
However. In this instance he has far too many clothes.Â
You tug at his jacket and he knows what you need, letting it fall to the floor with his tie and waistcoat following it. He ruts against you as he unbuttons his shirt a bit, not the whole way, but just enough for you to feel the warmth of his chest. Heâs so skinny. Youâve always been a bit worried that, on one of your rougher days, you might snap him in half. You still are now, actually.Â
Cupping his face in your hands you let your thumbs caress his cheekbones. Your Doctor. Older but the same. Just like you.Â
You can feel him more than half-hard against your leg. No more time wasting. You need him. You need him, you need him, you need him.Â
It doesnât take long to undo his fly and have him in your hand. Youâll always be glad he chose this human anatomy. Though youâd love him no matter how he looks, thereâs something wonderful about his cock as it is here. He lets his head fall forward onto your shoulder with a moan if your name.Â
âOh⌠youâreâŚâ
âMmm hmm,â you agree, a genuine smile passing your face for the first time in god knows how long. Heâs just the right length and on the thick side, and you know what a delicious stretch he is when he pushes inside of you. You canât wait to feel it again. A couple of pumps and heâs ready, dripping precome and a ruddy red. Another time youâd bend down and taste him, remind yourself what a Time Lordâs cock is like. But now today. Well, not now.Â
You lay back, readjusting yourself so he can push your underwear to the side and find your entrance. A couple of fingers - those long, delicate, clever and cunning fingers - press inside you and test you out. Youâre ready for him. He makes a choked noise in the back of his throat as he realises and you laugh, properly, throwing your head back.Â
âCome on, Doctor. Show me that youâve missed me.â
He used to never shut up. And now heâs stunned into a desperate silence, lining up with you and pushing in as he does his best to make you feel what heâs been feeling too.Â
A loneliness is fixed. He slides home inside you and your hips meet, the both of you letting out a long and ragged breath. You sit there for a moment, locked in the most intimate embrace, and just feel each other. You fist your hands in his shirt. Heâs here. Heâs real. You feel him trace his palm up your back as if you assure himself of the same thing.Â
Slowly he begins to move. It is a long and lovely drag, his cock hitting all the points you missed being touched, and when he feels you gasp he goes harder. The Doctor nuzzles into the skin of your neck, nestling to the warmth of you there, and you hear him repeat a mantra both of your name and âI love youâ.
Over and over. As if the two phrases are inextricably linked.Â
Youâre so full. Youâre so light. Everything feels perfect in this moment. And when he reaches between your bodies to touch your sex, push you to the edge, you know youâll climax for him embarrassingly fast.Â
When you come you see stars light up behind your eyes. The sky, the unfiltered and untamed sky takes you over. The Doctor says your name one final fine and releases inside you, his hips riding it out as if to savour every second in the sweet grip of you.Â
He canât look at your face when he asks you. He says it from the safety of your shoulder where his face is buried, because if you say no you know his heart will shatter.Â
âCome with me, in the TARDIS again. I know I shouldnât ask you to leave your home but⌠you complete me, you know. Always have.â
âLeave my home?! Doctor, donât be daft. This is just a house in bloody Hackney. Youâre my home.â
You pull back to meet his gaze. Heâs tired, but bright. His eyes twinkle. And thereâs the Doctor you know.Â
âAnd of course,â you continue. And, as the smile engulfs his face and he lights up, âitâs not like Iâm doing anything else, am I?â
This time, when you go AWOL from your job, you never come back.Â

what if ozzie created hell's version of ao3 and then radiostatic became one of the most popular ships but alastor didn't find out because ew, technology, until one day he did, but the top 69 fics are written by the same person & have incredibly realistic aspects that only one other person in hell would know
well, i wrote it. see below the cut for what i have so far
vox writes fanfic (and his username is alastors_babygirl)
Alastor goes nearly a century without acquiring any of those ridiculous, overdesigned electronic devices that the rest of Hell rots their brain with.
Ă
Things have been odd as of late. Angel Dust has been giving him strange looksânot the usual objectifying leer meant to evoke discomfort, but something more inquisitiveâand Niffty has taken to giggling every time he walks past that tacky television they keep in the lounge. It hadnât bothered him at first, as Angel Dust has always been a strange fellow, and Niffty is⌠well, Alastor isnât sure if even she understands her own whimsy, sometimes.
But now, itâs getting a bit out of hand.
âNiffty, my dear,â Alastor says, âI have a question for you.â
She giggles, likely because he is standing next to the television. She manages to get it under control, though he can still hear the laughter in her voice as she says, âYes?â
He glances pointedly at the television, then back at Niffty, and her grin widens. She kicks her feet and covers her mouth to hold back the giggles that threaten to erupt, and Alastor sighs. He is not going to get satisfying answers from her. âNever mind,â he says, weary. âPerhaps Charlie knows.â
Ă
Charlie blushes a bright red and flips her phone face-down in a panic, when he finally asks her in her office.
âUmâum, wellâŚâ she trails off, body language broadcasting her discomfort.
âThis is getting tiring,â Alastor says, letting irritation bleed into his voice. âDespite my confidence that it is not the case, because who would be so foolish, I feel as though Iâm being mocked. It is quite unpleasant.â
âNo! No no no!â she squeaks. âNo, itâs not that, itâs justâŚâ she takes a deep breath. âThe fan fiction.â
âThe what now?â Alastor asks, eyebrows furrowing.
She bites her lip, glancing down at her phone. âAsmodeus um⌠launched this new website,â she starts, and Alastor wrinkles his nose in disgust. Ugh, not this nonsense again. âAnd, well⌠people write stories on it about... about media or things theyâre fans of. Likeâlike use the characters and setting, and⌠andyouârethemostpopularship,â she says in a rush.
Alastor looks down at himself, and then back up at Charlie. âI didnât take you for the type to be critical of somebodyâs figure, regardless of the inaccuracy of your statement,â he says, clearly disappointed, and Charlie gasps.
âNo! Shipâship, like relationship! NotâI would never.â Sheâs offended now, frowning at him. âWhy would you think Iâdââ
âPlease, Charlie,â Alastor says sharply, âExplain to me in plain language.â
She bites her lip, then shrinks a little in her seat. âSometimes people⌠um, write stories about people, who they think would be good in a relationship⌠like romance stories.â
âWhat does this have to do with anything?â Alastor snaps.
âYouâre the topâyouâre the um, most popular, uh, ship. Relationship. Well, not just you, it takes twoâanyway.â She stops, and smiles at him nervously.
âWho is the second party in this ârelationshipâ involving myself?â he asks, eyes narrowed.
When she tells him, he very politely demands to be shown this website, and she meekly flips her phone over and slides it toward him. He looks through it, smile fading slowly until itâs just a barely-there quirk of the lips. âWho?â he asks, unable to hide the venom in his voice. âWho is writing these?â
âManyâmany people, Alastor. ItâsâthereâsâI, I mean, you see how many stories!â she squeaks.
âDo you read the ones where Iâm involved with your father?â he asks, suspicious, as he points at the device. She gasps.
âNo!â Charlie practically yells. âNo, I doâI do not read sex stories about myââ
âSex stories?â Alastor asks, voice thick with radio distortion, and she covers her mouth in horror at her own mistake.
âIâI mean, not all of them areâI mean, there are a ton that are justâand not just with my dad, but withâyou know, him, and theyâreâtheyâre so sweet, Alastor!â
The exhaustion is settling in his bones now, his ever-present smile twisted into a sardonic grimace. âI fail to understand how there can be any stories involving me and thatâthat walking billboard that are sweet.â
âWell, umâŚâ she hesitates, nervous. âYou could⌠you could read some?â
âI will most certainly not be doing that,â he says. âI will be going now. I appreciate your transparency, as painful as the information was to extract from you.â
Alastor leaves with his signature flourish, melting into the shadows.
Ă
He goes a week before he folds, though he has one of those egg creatures Sir Pentious left behind procure an electronic device for him instead of trying to find one himself. He then commands it to demonstrate how to navigate to that vapid archive of obscenities everyone seems so enraptured by.
Though there are a lot of these creepy little stories, and just as many writers, the most popular of these âfan fictionâ novellas are all written under the same pen name and have very specific personal details that only one other person in Hell would know.
Well, he supposes it has been quite a while since heâs gone to terrorize that tower in person. Why, heâs been positively angelic since his return to the public sphere. Itâs time to pay his old friend a visit.
Ă
He could go in the front door, cause a scene, really ham it up for Voxâs pervasive cameras, but thatâs too easy. Too predictable, and what sort of performer would he be if he didnât improvise and change things up a bit?
Alastor materializes in Voxâs office, behind his chair. He is, unfortunately, not alone, as Alastor had hoped. Startled, Velvette screams, and Alastor turns to blink at her owlishly.
âWas that really necessary?â he asks.
Vox spins around in his chair so fast it keeps spinning, makes 3 revolutions before Vox manages to stop it. Alastor looks Vox up and down, nose wrinkled in distaste.
âI just greased it!â Vox says defensively. âIt doesnât do that all the time, I canâI can control my chair!â
âWhy is he here?â Velvette hisses, and Vox points menacingly at Alastor.
âYeah! Why is heâwhy are you here?â
Alastor inhales deeply, and lets out a slow, disappointed sigh. âWe need to talk.â
âGet out of my fucking tower,â Vox snaps.
âIâd love to,â Alastor says, âas soon as you answer some questions about the creepy little love stories youâve been writing online.â
Vox blanches, as much as a television screen can blanchâthat is, his face turns greyscale, reminding Alastor very distinctly of the picture shows his mother used to take him to as a child. Itâs very amusing, on Vox.
âVelvette, get out,â Vox orders, voice sharp. The color slowly bleeds back into his face, one pixel at a time.
Velvette gets up, looking like sheâs about to argue, when Alastor turns to face her directly, twirling his microphone in hand as his smile grows.
âFine, fuck you,â she spits, and makes her way out.
Then itâs just Alastor and Vox. Vox and Alastor. Two old friends. Two old buddies. Pals. Former pals. Ex-partners.
âI can explain,â Vox says, panicked.
âOh,â Alastor says, sounding delighted. âYouâre admitting to it so easily? Usually youâre more difficult than that.â
âFuck,â Vox groans.

Sometimes I sit here and think about baby Logan, you know the one from the first X-men movie? With the grey hoodie? Yeah that baby Logan. Anyway, I think about Deadpool pulling worst Logan into more time shinaganen shit and of course worst Loganâs gf (who was his gf in his last universe but of course died during the attack, but this one either never met her universe Logan or something) and somehow, she runs into baby first Xmen Logan wearing the grey hoodie and running around clueless as where the hell he is, until he bumps into a surprisingly pretty woman who for some reason is cooing over him and calling him a precious baby,(and did she just pspspspsps at me?? Iâm not a fucking cat? No the hair doesnât look like cat ears?! The hell wrong with you lady?!) and he only gets her name before a older version of him in a gaudy yellow suit shows up to grab her and take her away, grumbling about having to keep track of two overgrown toddlers while a mouthy guy in a red leather suit says some stupid shit before following after the older version of Logan into some strange portal. Of course soon after baby Logan gets found by Xavier and when he ask who the woman named y/n is, Xavier just looks at him confused. (Of course perhaps that Logan will meet y/n a few years down the road, or he never sees her again, a shame really, she was quiet a looker, despite being so weird, he can stand being called a baby or a kitten by her again)
Waking up in a strange building is one thing, but walking out of an elevator to find a woman starting him down is anotherâespecially when she keeps calling him kitty.
âOh my god, look at you! Youâre so young!â Her voice is high-pitched, oohing and ahhing at him like some kind of attraction. Maybe itâd piss him off more if you didnât look so cute doing it.
âCute lil kitten arenât you? And your ears are so fluffy!â
You reach up to touch his hair, and he would grab your hand if someone else didnât already beat him to it.
A gaudy yellow suit is the first thing he sees, thenâwhat the fuck?
âDoll, I told you not to go wandering off,â the stranger says, and itâs now that his day goes from bizarre to fucking impossible because heâs staring at himself. Older, sure, but his voice, his body, damn near everythingâ
âOh peanut! Itâs time to go!â Says another man in a bright red jumpsuit, and he can hear the other man groan in response.
âAlright, you heard him.â
âAw,â you complain, following after the two of them. âWanted to pet him before we go.â
You wave to the younger man behind you, giving him a wink along with your name. âCome find me when youâre all grown up kitty! Iâll be waiting for you!â
âWaitâ!â
His words fall on deaf ears, the trio disappearing soon after in a yellow doorway. His jaw drops, unsure of what just happened was real or if heâs just high as a fucking kite.
After a couple of introductions and many confused glances, he finds out that the three people he met are not students or professors, and that no one in the room had ever seen them before. Years pass along with many, many, life changing events and his odd welcome party becomes a memory of the past.
That is, until he finds out Charles has hired a new school counselor, and she looks just a bit too similar to be a coincidence. Once he gets over the shock he extends his hand, to which you accept.
âNames Logan.â He says, and you give yours in return, the same name you gave him all those years ago. Itâs now that you point to his hair with a small smile.
âDo you style your hair or does it always come out like that?â
His eyebrow raises, unsure of the line of questioning. âNot really? Why do you ask?â
You open your mouth, then close it with a shake of your head. âForget it, youâre gonna think itâs silly.â
âOh yeah?â Logan replies. âTry me.â
You bite your lip, debating on whether you should speak, eventually choosing to bite the bullet. âWell, itâs just that your hair kinda looks like ears. Yâknow, like a cat.â
His chuckle is instant, evolving into a laugh. Youâre getting more and more nervous, afraid you said something wrong until his hand gives you a good pat on the shoulder.
âYâknow, youâre the second girl to tell me that,â he muses, leaning in close. âBut come to think of it, âkittyâ has a better ring to it, donâtcha think?â

Hello ! Can I ask Savanaclaw with a first year student (platonic) that is like LingYang from Wuthering waves pls ? Ignore it if you don't want to write it !!!
Have a good day !
Another Lion?
Savanaclaw | M. Reader as Lingyang [Wuthering Waves] (Platonic)
----------
"It's like a mini you!"
----------
The day [Name] arrived at Savanaclaw is the day where Leona get's another headache. Such an energetic guy.. honestly where did he got all that energy from? It's annoying. Like a child who's still learning the world around him, believing how being kind and sincere is a good thing. Meanwhile Jack and Ruggie is incredibly happy. [Name] is just such a nice guy, always willing to help, it's a nice change from how many rotten eggs are in Savanaclaw, believing that they're the "strongest."
It's even more interesting how [Name] appears to also be a lion like Leona but turned out way different. Ruggie would always joke how [Name] is the version of Leona if he was kinder. Which earned him quite the death glare. When [Name] offered a private lion dance performance. Boy is it a sight. Watching someone showing their culture and traditions are always a nice experience and seeing him go from pillar to pillar with such swift motions is quite mesmerizing. [Name] is more than happy to teach them lion dancing if they asked.
With how swift he is, [Name] instantly made his way on to the Magical Shift/Spelldrive team in Savanclaw. He's just so agile, perhaps being a lion dancer makes him quite nimble.
Leona still finds him annoying though but after some interactions, [Name] makes a wonderful sleeping buddy. How? Well somehow he always without fail found the nicest and seclusive spots for naps. [Name]'s senses are surprisingly sharper than his, which throw Leona off the loop for a moment, and just like that [Name] had officially become Savanclaw's younger brother, who ever dare lay a single finger on him will answer to the Housewarden.
Ruggie and [Name] bonded like brothers, playing pranks here and there, enjoying life. Jack is like the more responsible older brother. Ready to help, and tries to get the two of them out of trouble, he may seem mean, but he's a big softie.
----------
Spoilers to those who haven't done Lingyang's companion quest
----------
Leona, Ruggie, Jack, and [Name] were at the Savanaclaw's dorm, Leona is napping like always, while Ruggie and Jack told stories of from their hometown as [Name] listens eagerly, happy to learn new things. "Oh? So it's like a folklore? Jinzhou also had one. It's called the Jingle Beast." [Name] says casually, looking out at the horizon with a faint smile, remembering it well how people use to fear such a "beast."
"They say that there's a beast somewhere out there and that when it hunts, you could hear the sound of a bell jingle. It's as simple as that really." He explains casually with a chuckle in the end. Such a silly rumor.
"Kishishishi! Really now? A Jingle Beast?" Ruggie can't help but laugh at such an interesting folklore. "Some say it's just a Suan'ni. A mystical creature that has amazing abilities. Some were skeptical though, since Suan'ni's are practically extinct now." [Name] added, looking down at the ground where they sat. This caught their attention, even Leona as he opens one eye and glance over to the three of them.
Ruggie thought about it for a moment before nodding in response, his face became more serious. "I donât blame them. In ancient times, the world used to be a very brutal world. Suanânies were hunted and killed by humans for their own profit and desires. It was cruel and not fair."
[Name] remain silent for a moment, thinking back on those times. "In my own optionâŚ" He began slowly.
"The last Suan'ni might have yearn to become a human⌠it yanked out all of its fur, filled down its claws, twisted its bones, and learn how to stand upright." [Name] explains in a soft and melancholy tone, his gaze never leaving the ground, his ears occasionally twitched as he says those words.
"AnywayâŚ" He paused, adding with hesitant in his voice. "It.. never really became a human in the end.."
Pure silence. Nothing but pure silence follows after that.
Ruggie and Jack look at [Name] with widened eyes, heck, even Leona had gotten up, sitting upright and looking at the other with a dumbfounded expression. They immediately picked up on what the other is implying.
Of course the Suan'ni never became a human in the end... because at the end of the day.. it is still a Suan'ni.
Through out the centuries... animals evolved and that's how they could now stand on two feet, talk, and etc etc.
But what about those who are older? Before such evolution could even be achieve? Suppose...
[Name] had answer that question.

Oh god please write the timebomb fic!!! (or several lol)
ŕł pairing: ekko/jinx
ŕł wc: 5k
ŕł summary: "Always a dance with you, huh?" Or: two years after the battle versus Noxus, Ekko receives an unexpected visitor.
ŕł author notes: ask and you shall receive!!! I wrote this in one sitting in some weird ass haze and barely edited it, but this is the most fun I had in a long while so I hope you enjoy!!!
ŕł read it on ao3 | listen to the playlist
The first few days after the battle, Ekko doesnât rest. He barely sleeps or eats, or allows himself time to think.Â
He canât.Â
Thereâs too much to do. The dead are in their dozens. His Firelights took a major hit, and he knows that for the next few months his fingers will be numb from painting their pictures on the mural day in and out. So many who could have lived but didnât. So many could have had better futures. But if he just runs, if he keeps pushing on, he can outrun these regrets and his grief, too. This way, he doesnât remember Viâs heartbroken expression when she pulled him into a bone-crushing hug after the fight, blood and sweat still clinging to her, her words choked when she told himâ
Four seconds.Â
He could have saved her. He would have hauled her snarky ass out of that tunnel, ripped that bomb from her hands. He would haveâ
He runs from those thoughts, too. They suffocate him, and Ekko has too much to fix to be suffocated by his grief right now.Â
He sure as hell didnât fight for Piltover. He fought for Zaun, for Firelights. Because he knew Ambessa Medarda would never settle for anything other than complete subjugation. She would have destroyed Ekkoâs home. She was already busy murdering and imprisoning their people, and nothing but complete eradication would have followed in her wake.Â
Ekko did it for⌠her. The blue-haired symbol of defiance, of uprising. A loud declaration that they wonât live under Piltoverâs oppression forever, that theyâll reach greater things one day and wonât be silenced. They wonât wait for permission to breathe again. Itâs what she would have wanted, he convinces himself, even though part of him knows Jinx would have enjoyed the chaos of the fight more. Or maybe not. Not since that little girl. Not since he had to save her from herself over and over again, only to lose her anyway.Â
Undercity mourns her. Her visage is everywhere. Jinx the Saviour. She would have hated it, he thinks wryly. She never got to see just how loved she was.Â
Maybe he should have grabbed her and ran away. Maybe he should have let the world go to hell and saved her instead. The thought, born of fatigue, lingers only for a few fleeting seconds, a rare moment of selfishness amidst a day spent fixing the world around him.Â
Maybe, maybe, maybe. If only he had tried harder when they were kids and saved her from Silco. If only he didnât give up on her.Â
Sheâs always been his biggest maybe. And now theyâll never be more. Not this version of them. Never him and her as they were.Â
Aw, are you gonna mope now, boy saviour?
âYouâre not here.â
It punches clean through his chest. The realisation of it. The sheer, horrible weight. Heâll never see her again.Â
Constants and variables, Benzo told him once. Constants and variables, young Ekko.
A week after the battle versus Noxus, Ekko sinks to his knees inside his room, exhausted and heartbroken, and sobs.Â
.
Things begin to settle. Slowly, at first, the city might have been gutted after the battle but not destroyed, the morale low but hopeful. Hexgates are gone, and Ekko is glad when he finds out. He doesnât want to see or hear anything about the arcane for a while. No magic in the world could fix the pain festering in his chest.Â
Sevika, Silcoâs old second-in-command and once his sworn enemy, comes to him two weeks after the attack.Â
âTheyâre making me a council member,â she says, grunting when she falls into the tiny wooden chair inside his room.Â
Sheâs always been a threatening figure, power rippling from every shift of her body, but Ekko isnât sure he wants to fight anyone right now. Nor does she seem interested in strangling him. She lights a cigarette, her scarred features set in a fearsome scowl.Â
âAnd?â he asks for anything better to say. âHow is that any of my business?â
Sevika exhales through her nose, reminding him of an angry bull, all smoke and steely resolve. âIâm the only one presenting Zaun or her interests.âÂ
Ekko almost rolls his eyes. Of course she is. The Council is simply falling over themselves to fix the situation. After months of harassment and oppression, false arrestments and beatings, they asked them to bleed for Piltover and its interests with nothing but the bare minimum courtesy extended towards them afterwards.
âI could use you, kid,â Sevika continues, and Ekko forces his anger away, loosening his fists. âExactly for that reaction. Youâre smart as hell, and been a pain in my ass for years. Pilties will try to walk all over us again in a few monthsâ time. You and I both know it. We gotta beat them in their own game. Not let them silence us again. I could use someone like you. Be my adviser. Youâll have a direct line to the Council. Weâll make an actual change. Itâs better than whatever this is.â
Ekkoâs expression sours at her words while Sevikaâs gaze flicks around his room in contemplation. He works all day to a point of exhaustion, then passes out. Itâs the only way heâs been able to continue, day in and day out. Being in a leadership position means you canât take time off to grieve. Too many people are relying on him. Itâs bad enough that he accidentally abandoned his people for months without meaning to. The guilt he still feels over everything has been nearly suffocating.Â
Itâs a good gig, hero! You should do it and be a thorn in her side.
Ekko blinks the flash of blue from his vision, rubbing his brow just as Sevika adds: âItâs what she would have wanted, you know.â
A jolt of electricity runs through him. Everyone, even Vi, has been avoiding mentioning Jinx in front of him. Â
His jaw clenches. âYou donât know that.â
âKid, I know what not letting go looks like,â she says, and it almost sounds compassionate, or as close to it as someone like her can get. âWe had our differences in the past, I know as muchââ
âYou killed my people,â Ekko snaps. âDo you know how many lives you destroyed with Shimmer?â
âSure do,â she replies listlessly, smoke billowing past her lips. âI wonât try to justify my actions to you. But yâknow, when you were gone, Jinx united Zaun in a way I havenât seen since Vander. Beats me how she did it, but people believed in her. Even your Firelights.â
It mirrors everything heâs seen and heard for weeks. Jinx freeing their people, Jinx the Saviour, the beacon for their new future. The one who set and lived by extreme examples, who made Piltover back off and take the Undercity seriously. Because they all finally realised that there can never be peace without a fight. She should be here to fight this battle with him. Ekko should be busy arguing with her that blowing up another building will not make things right. He shouldnât be walking around with her ghost a step behind him, tormenting him with ideas of what could and should have been.Â
âAnd now sheâs dead!â
His ears ring, his chest heaves, and he clutches his thudding heart, willing it back in its cage. He didnât mean to come undone so easily.Â
âYeah. Yeah, she is,â Sevika says, and thereâs a grimness to her when she says it, an unexpected pain buried somewhere deep in her gruff voice that makes Ekko see her differently. âI get it.â
âNo,â he whispers, pained. âYou donât.â
.
Seven months pass before Ekko finally picks up a brush for her.Â
He sleeps better at night but not without nightmares. Not without remembering Powder from the alternative universe and how they danced. How sweet her kiss felt. Not without that memory smearing to finding Jinx with a grenade in her hand, again, ready to disappear, go somewhere he could never reach her.Â
Ekko still hears the detonation in his ears, over and over, on a sickening loop. His mind likes to torture him with ideas he failed to save her. That no matter what he does, or how he mends time, sheâs forever out of reach. His blue beacon, his lighthouse he can never find in the depthless ocean of reality.Â
Many have drawn her, but he still thinks that no one knows the exact hue of her hair or the wicked shine in her eyes better than him. Heâs spent an entire lifetime examining them, looking for them in a sea of thousands.Â
Their city is rebuilding. He agreed to Sevikaâs request after a few days of contemplation. Caitlyn Kirammanâs expression when he ambled into the Council room was worth the additional burden now on his shoulder. But sheâs changed too, matured, and now fills her position as the Councilâs leader well.Â
Ekko wonât forget how she allowed his friends to be imprisoned, tortured, and, in some cases, killed, but her regret made her side with him and Sevika more often than not during voting, and maybe he could at least one day forgive her. Another maybe. For Vi, if nothing else, who clearly loves the blue-haired woman fiercely.Â
The barren wall stares at him. Heâs painted Powder before, but this is different. One day, his friend, his dearest friend, was simply gone. Without a goodbye, in a wake of tragedy. The life Ekko once had disintegrated beneath his feet overnight. Benzo killed. Vander dead. Mylo and Claggor too. Vi died as well. Or so he believed for years. Powder was missing until a different knife was delivered to him weeks later, when the word on the street spread about Silco being seen with a little girl with blue hair.Â
Ekko sighs, hanging his head. The city is healing, but he isnât, or at least not as quickly.Â
He runs his hand over the white wall, picturing Jinx as he saw her last, those precious hours between talking her down from the abyss and their joint attack on Noxian forces. It felt so good to rely on her again, to stand with her, side by side. As natural as breathing.Â
Youâre the order to my chaos, hero.Â
âLeave me alone,â he says quietly, head hung low. âItâs been months.â
A figment of Jinx chortles, arms crossed over her chest as she leans back against the wall. You would get bored to death without me. Ha! Get it?Â
Shooting a glare at her, Ekko picks up a brush, his fingers quivering. Tears burn in his eyes when he dips the brush into the paints he painstakingly mixed. He works, and works, until his eyes are dry and his wrist hurts. Ekko doesnât stop until he loses light and when he steps back, he is looking at Jinx. Equal parts chaos and something ethereal.Â
He wipes angrily across his mouth when he tastes saltiness pooling there and goes home.Â
Thereâs no sleep that night.Â
.
Time is a strange thing. It weaves and flows. Without his Z-Drive, he has no control over it. Time simply goes on, and heâs the passenger in a vehicle he doesnât want to move.Â
Heâs important these days. Heâs one of the few bright minds still left, and heâs endlessly busy with something. City of Progress needs every mind that can be spared. Wounds heal, and time dulls the memory, but not everything is so easily forgotten. Piltover moves quicker, but the Undercity erects a statue for Jinx beside Vanderâs. He sees Vi at the ceremony, and they exchange strained smiles. They speak sometimes, but itâs not as often as it used to be. Theyâre both dealing with their grief the best they can.
At least Vi has Cait. Ekko has nothing but a cold bed and purpose.Â
He and Sevika make a good team. It almost makes him wonder what could have been in a universe where they were on the same side from the start. His Zaun, cracked but not broken, is resembling the bright version of the Zaun and Piltover he saw in the alternative verse. There're years of work still left, but thereâs something like hope in him, fragile and misplaced as it might be.Â
A year passes. Then two. He visits the graves; he lights candles for those lost. Some days Ekko sees her, other days he doesnât. He hopes for a glimpse, even when he knows he shouldnât. It should be easier to let go of what you never had, right?Â
His mural for Jinx grows. Other faces join her, people who died believing in her, surrounding the one they placed their trust in. And, at the centre of it all, her, her, her.Â
Still her.Â
Always her.Â
.Â
Heâs not sure what arouses him. He hasnât slept well in years, perpetual exhaustion clinging to him like a shawl. Some would call it the weight of living, no doubt.Â
Thereâs a shift in the air, a disturbance thatâs not enough to make Ekko jolt awake and reach for a weapon, but enough to make his eyes flutter open. He breathes the cool air, pushing his grogginess away.Â
Thereâs a shape at the foot of his bed. Small and round. It takes several seconds for his vision to adjust, for him to realise that a hooded figure sits perched on his bed, knees pulled to their chest.
Ekko hasnât had to rely on his battle instincts in two years, but thereâs enough left in him to attack without hesitation. His fingers tangle in the cloak, shoving the figure down, his knee pressing harshly into their abdominal, hands seeking the intruderâs throatâ
âWow, little man, you sure know how to roll out the welcoming mat,â the all too familiar voice drawls before his fingers tighten instinctively around the slender, warm throat.Â
A haggard breath forces from Ekkoâs parted mouth. In the wild struggle, the strangerâs hood has slipped down, revealing a familiar face with a startling crop of blue hair. His heart squeezes painfully, forcing him away from Jinxâs apparition.Â
âLeave me alone,â he croaks, rubbing his eyes till his vision swims. âJust leave me alone! I donât want to see you anymore!â
âHuh, fine. I thought after two years, the welcome would be a tad warmer. Brrr.â
Ekko pushes himself to his feet, stumbling away, watching warily as the young woman sits back up, picking at her messy hair. She looks different. A little older than Jinx from his visions or memories. Her hair is longer, though nowhere near the same length she once had braided into two twin braids. She swings her leg back and forth, another pulled up to her chest while she watches him. And⌠her eyes. Ekko was the last person to see her with blue eyes before their battle on the bridge. The last time he saw Jinx alive, they were a dangerous, burning violet.Â
Now, even with the shade of the night, theyâre a muddy mix between the blue he once knew, and the piercing violet that made her so deadly. As if that restless edge in her has calmed down and settled.Â
Ekkoâs chest heaves as he stumbles back a step.Â
âSooooââ she begins.
âYouâre alive.â
Jinx shrugs her shoulders. âYup. Clearly. In the flesh even,â she crows, but itâs more muted when compared to the wildness he once faced off against.Â
His hand flies to his stomach, and Ekko distantly wonders if heâs about to throw up in front of a girl heâs spent his entire life loving.Â
Mercifully, his stomach settles, but his heart beats so loudly he can hear the blood rushing in his skull.Â
âYouâre alive,â he repeats, harder this time. âItâs been two years.â
âYeah.â
She doesnât offer more than that, but thereâs a shadow over her narrow face. Sheâs healthier. Thereâs more weight on her bones, her skin has lost some of the pallidness. As if someone took Powder and Jinx, split them clean down the middle, and fused them into one body. Stronger, more self-reassured, less teetering on the brink.Â
âWould have written but mail is crappy where I was,â she jokes, her voice a familiar, drawling litany. âBesides, this is so much more mysteriousââ
He closes the distance between them in two steps. His room isnât big but he would have walked, ran, sprinted if needed to close the distance between them. His arms wrap around her and Ekko squeezes her so tightly he hears a small breath escape Jinx. Sheâs solid and warm. Smells faintly of sea and something metallic. Ekko buries his face in the soft crook of Jinxâs neck, gasping for breath.Â
âWoah, hero, youâre gonna break my ribs,â she whispers, but her arms wind around him, more careful, unsure. âI thought you hated me?â
Even when he releases her, Ekkoâs hands linger on her, go to her face, examining her through the crack of light illuminating his room.Â
âI saw you,â he breathes, devastated. âI saw you everywhere. I hoped to see you everywhere.â
Something flickers over her face, an unknown thing, secretive and distant as sheâs always felt to him.Â
âGeez, seeing things? And they call me crazy.â
âYouâre not crazy.â
Thereâs such vehemence in his voice it startles them both. Jinx nibbles on her inner cheek, searching his face cautiously. âI thought youâd be mad.â
Ekko laughs, a low huff of amusement. âDo you think I care for you so little, huh?â
Too late he realises heâs without a shirt, and is, in fact, mostly bare before the girl heâs harboured a crush on for years. Near boyish shyness forces Ekko back, making him clear his throat. His hands tremble when he reaches for a discarded t-shirt, hoping it doesnât smell bad when he pulls it over his head. When he glances at her over his shoulder, Jinx is still there, still watching him, though thereâs a thoughtful air around her.Â
When she notices him looking, she offers him a sarcastic grin.
âNo need to get shy, stud.â
âShut up,â he grumbles.
He plops down on his unmade bed, watching her watch him. Her face is half hidden by her arms propped on her bent knee, but the silence between them isnât awkward. Theyâre taking each other in, taking in the changes that have touched them both in the last two years.
âWhy come back now?â he asks, eventually.Â
Jinx blinks, near feline-like, dropping her head back to stare at his ceiling as if it may offer an answer. âIâm a crappy friend, but not that crappy. Happy birthday, wonder boy.â
Thereâs a creak in his heart, a lightness in his ribcage, a balloon of affection despite their troubled history that inflates just for her. âYou remember my birthday?â
She makes a sound at the back of her throat. Glances at him from the corner of her eye. âWell, we picked it together, silly, so sure I do.â Shadows fall over her features when she angles her head away. âI⌠I never thought I would come backâthat it was better this way.â
âIâm glad you did.â
Something close to a smile ghosts over her face at his response. Ekko canât rip his gaze away from her. He fears that if he does, heâll wake up and sheâll be gone again, and heâll have to relive the agony of losing her again.Â
âDoes Viââ
âNo. No. And itâs better this way.â
âButââ
âDrop it, Ekko. Please.â
He does. Because this is too good to be true, and he doesnât want this to end. Emotions mix inside him, battling for dominance, so he sits there, letting them all wash over him.Â
âYouâve been busy,â she says abruptly, nodding her head in the general direction of the outside world. âTheir new wonder boy. Iâm not surprised. Youâve always been good at creating things. Good things.â
âAnd youâve always been good at fixing them,â he says.Â
Ekko thinks back on the countless times she helped him to fix up old rubbish others have discarded and sell them in Benzoâs shop as small treasures. It feels, now, like a lifetime ago. In a sense, it has been.Â
She snorts; itâs an ugly, hateful sound. âNot always.â
Thereâs weight to how she says it. Pain lingers in each syllable, more so a whispered confession. Sheâs thinking of others, those lost through accidents or her own direct involvement.Â
âIâm sorry about Isha,â Ekko says carefully, thumb pressing into the hollow of his bare knee. He itches to take her hand, to smooth his thumb over her knuckles instead, but he doesnât. Sheâs never been his to touch. âVi told me about her.â
Jinx shrinks, turning away and he mentally curses. A sore spot even years later. Understandably so.Â
âI⌠shit. Sorry.â
âWhatâs with the long face?â she exclaims suddenly, jumping to her feet and twirling. Her hands drop to her hips and she grins at him, all mischief. âCâmon, we gotta get out of here.â
Ekko squints. âUh, what?â
âItâs your birthday, silly,â she says, like it should be obvious. âWeâre going to spend the day together.â
.
Jinx keeps her hood up, her gait steady. Any sign of blue tucked away. Sheâs changed her attire to draw less attention, and as they walk in the hazy dawn light towards the bridge separating the sister cities, it feels almost normal. Casual. Not at all like the last time they spoke, they were about to fight side by side in a battle for their lives. Not at all like he spent two years thinking sheâs dead. That still stings, but knowing how she felt back then, the state she was in before he talked her down from the edge, the pain sheâs been through, Ekko canât bring himself to feel resentful. He only wants to hold her and tell her itâll be okay because sheâs not alone.Â
âYouâre not saying, are you?â he asks, hands in his pockets.Â
âNope,â she replies, popping the p. âCanât.â
Words rush to his tongue. Insistence that she can and should stayâthat thereâs space here for her, not just in his life, but in the new Zaun heâs helping to shape. He almost admits it to her then. That heâs built this for her and the ones they lost along the way.Â
Ekko continues walking, staring at the ground, noticing too late sheâs fallen behind. He peers over his shoulder and freezes when he notices whatâs caught her attention. The mural. Welcoming anyone coming into Zaun. Her face, slightly younger but now immortalised, peers back at them.Â
âYou drew this.â
He loosens a breath. âYeah, I did. I, uh, justâŚâ
Jinx reaches for her own face, fingertips ghosting over the painted wall. Thereâs tension on her face when she turns to look at him, something piercing and hard and thoughtful. Same pinch to her eyebrows he saw earlier in his bedroom.Â
âI wonât let them take you,â he says softly. âIf they came for you. I would fight for you.â
She doesnât break their eye contact. âI know. You shouldnât, but I know you would.â
âThen stay.â
She saunters forward, stopping only when theyâre almost chest to chest. âIâm not her, yâknow? The other me. The one you love.â
He smiles, huffing a small breath, refocusing on her and her small pout. Ekko reaches forward, tucking a few stray strands back under Jinxâs hood, lingering for a beat. âI wasnât her Ekko, either. Thatâs why I came back. I like this version of you just fine. But just so weâre clear, every version of you is a pain in my ass.â He tugs on a small braid, grinning when she shoots him an annoyed glare and slaps his hand away. âBut I wonât have it any other way. Wait, no. It sure as hell would be simpler if you didnât try to kill me anymore, but I guess Iâll deal with that, too.â
Jinx snorts, absently reaching for the spot he touched, her gaze softer than before. âHa! You hit like a girl, by the way. I never got to tell you.â
âYou tried to blow us up.â
âEh,â she whines. âThat was one time. You gotta let that go.â
Ekko exhales a small laugh and realises he hasnât smiled or laughed this much in years. Joy was leeched from him with her absence, and while he did his duties, there was no security of Jinxâs usual push and pull to keep him balanced and focused. Even when they were enemies, hunted each other down and attacked each other, they existed on opposite sides of a perfectly balanced sphere.Â
Her nearness, the relief of having her there, overshadows the darker recollection of that afternoon when she tried to blow them up more than once. Memories so painful Ekko wishes to scrub them from his mind forever, yet they remain seared into his psyche.Â
She grabs his elbow, dragging him forward, breaking the surrounding gloom. âCome on then,. Things to do, things to see.â
And Ekko does what heâs done since they were young. He follows her. Because they might not have tomorrow.
.
The day goes by too fast. Almost a blur. A series of snapshots Ekko will lock away in his mind forever. He never expected heâd get to do this again. This is something his younger self could have only dreamt about once. When they dreamt of simpler things; flashy toys and delicious sweets, things only a young boy could fantasise about, aside from a loving home, because at least that much he had.Â
They walked and talked and joked around, eating street vendor food all day. Ekko knows theyâre pushing their luck, but he canât help himself. Jinx grew up here. This is her home too, and he wants to show her the progress theyâve made. Thereâs something comfortable about her snarky commentary and ill-timed jibes at the Council members. She asks about Vi only once, in relation to Cait, and Ekko tells her the truth.Â
Theyâre happy. Theyâre together. She nods, satisfied, and moves on.
âWe should go see Jericho next.â Itâs an offhand suggestion while they walk the newly paved river path. Now people from the Undercity can enjoy the same luxury of having a peaceful sidewalk to take their kids down. Itâs amazing how itâs the small things that bring people happiness.Â
âCanât,â Jinx replies, glancing towards the setting sun. Her smile twists; itâs still a smile, but itâs sad, in a way. âSorry, hero.â
He takes several seconds to speak. âSo, youâre leaving anyway.â
âYes. I told you I canât stay.â
âItâs a pity, then.â
She tilts her head. âWhy?â
Damn her for even asking. Damn her and all the shitty circumstances for keeping them apart. Damn her for picking him during that game of hide and seek years ago. Damn her for being there for him and not being there at the same time. Damn her for being his entire world for years. Even when Ekko thought he hated her, he wasnât free of her. He never could be. His girl with blue hair.Â
Heâs in love with her, in every possible way, but they both know they canât work like this. Thereâs too many ghosts for Jinx here, and despite the changes, Ekko canât promise her she wonât get dragged off to Stillwater the moment authorities find out sheâs alive after all.Â
Ekko frowns, clenches his fists, and walks away.Â
But sheâs like an anchor to him. He stops several paces away, tied to her. âYouâre gonna break my heart.â
Theyâve been everything from friends to enemies and strangers to reluctant allies again. So much of his life has revolved around her. Continues to revolve around her. Past and present. But if Jinx sends him away now, if she walks away, Ekko will let her go. Because he can finally rest easy, knowing she is alive and well, even if theyâre apart.
âIn any other universe, I might have loved you,â she breathes.Â
He pivots towards her, his nostrils flaring. âLove me in this one,â he insists, reaching for her. Ekko cups her cheeks, tilting her head until her hood slips back down, exposing her blue hair to the setting sun. Heâs glad thereâs no one in sight because he canât think straight right now. âChoose me now. Ask me to go away with you. Ask me.â
He presses his forehead to hers. Jinxâs empty gaze appears glazed over, her thoughts far away no matter how hard he tries to grip her and hold her close.Â
âI donât deserve you, boy saviour,â she whispers emptily. âYouâre good.â
âNo one decides for me, Jinx. Not even you.â
She blinks owlishly, searching his wild stare, a pained expression on her face, her fingers knotting against her chest. âWhat if you donât want me after a while? Iâm⌠different and if I get bad again... What ifââ
âAsk me, damnit.â
Jinx loosens a shaky breath, jumping through a hundred micro-expressions in a few seconds. A painful mix between hope and dread.Â
âCâŚâ Her eyes squeeze shut. âCome with me.â
Ekko sags in relief. âYes.â He holds her, wraps his arms around her despite the unsure way she folds against him. As if sheâs unsure where to put her hands. If she should. âYes, Iâll come with you. I donât care if youâre different. I want you as you are, okay? No matter where we are.â
A tremulous breath wheezes past Jinxâs lips. But with that, she melts into him, burying her face against him. Her embrace grows desperate and tight, a tremble shuddering through her body.Â
âAlways a dance with you, huh?â he says after a moment.
She chuckles, the sound warming his collarbone. âAnd you still got two left feet, boy wonder.â
Constants and variables, young Ekko, Benzo told him once. Everything bad that can happen in this universe might come to pass, but so might everything good.

PAC: Your Person's Appearance
What Are Their Vibes & Characteristics?
PILE 1 (Source) | PILE 2 (Source) | PILE 3 (Source)
This was supposed to be a quick reading but idk what happened đ¤¨. I apologise if it's scattered though I think I saw that every time đ
.
Anyways, this reading covers your person's vibes they give off as well as any notable features about them. As always this reading is for entertainment purposes only. â¨
Version 1 Of This Reading
PAC Reading Masterlist | Paid Readings
PILE 1
Initial Impressions: Dark features, intelligent look, balanced masculine and feminine energies, ambitious, helpful, burnout, (Mount) Vesuvius, mystical, dreamy, starry-eyed, intuitive, regal, physically fit, wish fulfilment, hope, they brighten up the room, a new beginning, secure.
Vibes You May Pick Up On:
They have a quiet confidence. Even if they donât say much of anything, you can sense their self-assuredness. They could be in a position of power career-wise where they oversee others or an operation but I donât think that itâs something theyâre particularly happy about or take lightly. People may think itâs all fun and games for them but actually, itâs quite the opposite. They could actually be quite lonely despite their work. They could have left home and they canât return to it. They carry a heaviness with them. Working on themselves and levelling up. Focused. Lost in thought. Optimistic. They could exude a sense of hope and magic, just being in their presence may boost your mood. Busy. Moving from one thing to the next. Coffee shop vibes. Proportionate body. Someone new that youâre manifesting. You two could meet at a time of change and transformation in one or both of your lives. If youâre accustomed to unhealthy relationships or drawn to people that arenât good for you, this is the opposite. They might not even look like they used to. Theyâll have a very nice body⌠you may really like their legs. They may wear clothes that expose a part of their body... particularly their chest. Nurturing energy. I think you may just kind of know or youâll feel a sense of peace.
Notable Characteristics:
Hair colours are pretty diverseâ youâve got black, red, blonde and grey (or platinum that came to me as well) hair. They could have curly or kinky hair types. The only one that came out for face shapes was square. Their eyes may be hooded or they may have a monolid. They could have a broad or roman shaped nose. When it comes to their mouth. They could have a cupidâs bow and thin lips, straight teeth and they may smirk a lot or their smile looks like a smirk. The last few physical things are they might be on the shorter side or shorter than you and they could have scars or a skin condition (eczema, vitiligo, etc). Their voice may be smooth or animated. Their style could be very aesthetic or vintage and they may wear a lot of formal/business wear. They may come across as quiet/reserved, intelligent and charismatic.

PILE 2
Initial Impressions: Symphony by Clean Bandit feat Zara Larson came to me, Someone youâre destined to meet.. the one who got away or someone whoâs unforgettable from day one, dangerous look, security, a strong appearance, protective, fierce, a wish fulfilled, a musician, someone who moves with fluidity, muse, not the knight you expect, a little bit closed off
Vibes You May Pick Up On:
They may try to stay under the radar, but I think that may be a little hard⌠at least when it comes to you. You may need some help with them though, as in getting a relationship started. Thereâs a wildness to them but it might get them in trouble so they try to tame themselves (I also hear tame their desire for adventure). They may not look like their stable but they are and they worked hard for what they have. I think this person may look focused⌠a little bit scruffy or dishevelled if theyâre a man. I felt like you may be cautious of them but I think that they may also come across as guarded and cautious of others. Thereâs definitely a sense of maturity to them and wisdom. Highly perceptive. They could have multiple ear piercings. You could meet this person by chance. In one of the previous versions (see the end of your pileâs reading) I think I wrote that you two might meet in a way âonly the divine could have orchestratedâ. I donât know how to describe it, but it may not be a meeting you could have ever thought to dream of/up. I think of wolves when I think of this person based on the cards as well. They may have a tough exterior, not easily approachable. Theyâre everything you want whether or not you know or see it at first. They may carry a lot of stress. Actually very passionate and inspiring. A diamond in the rough or a lamp that needs polishing.
Notable Characteristics
Short, curvy (I also remember picking up on husky at one point in a prev version), they could wear glasses but prefer to wear contacts. For hair, you guys have a good set of cards so their hair may be a significant feature. The cards around hair wereâ wavy, unique cut/style, afro (or puffy hair), salt & pepper, short hair, blonde, grey hair, long hair, and straight hair. For facial hair, itâs either clean-shaven or a beard. Their face shape could be round, square or diamond-shaped. For lips, they could have a cupidâs bow. They could have brown or green eyes or their eye colour may look unique. Their voice could be youthful or higher in pitch or on the opposite end deep. You also got smooth and they could have a foreign accent (whatever that means to you). Lastly, some impressions about this person are they may come across as confident, charismatic, quiet/reserved and professional/polished.

PILE 3
Initial Impressions: Vibes of being a player. Not being from around the same location. Something about their eyes. A rake. Large and in charge. Good with words or a sweet talker. Lively. Someone not to be tied down. Awakening something with you. Happy. Young. Naive. Sociable. Could be from somewhere warm or they could make you warm. Strong. Visually impaired? Intuitive⌠like they know the "secrets of the universeâ. Jewellery may be significant. Wanderer. Hands. Might wear lots of prints. Rings. Marriage material. They could be a risk taker or look like a risk youâre willing to take. They may be quite flamboyant which might resonate a lot if youâre more reserved in how you dress or present yourself to the world. Grey hair. Frustrating. Baby Charli XCX.
Vibes You May Pick Up On:
They might come across as slightly immature and before some of you roll your eyes, immaturity doesnât always show up as a negative. It could be a playfulness to them that makes you think they havenât really lived and explored life yet. They may give off the vibe that pursuing them is a risk of some kind on your part. You might feel like youâve got to be very careful about pursuing them or allowing them to pursue you.
They could look like a social butterfly. An infectious vibe or personality. They may light up the room. For a lot of you, I feel like Iâm viewing this person in an educational or work setting and like watching them from afar interact with other people. They could look like a drifter. One dynamic Iâm picking up on as well is your person being the type of person willing to pack up and go anywhere on a whim while you may be more cautious and the type to need a plan first. Theyâll say ârunaway with meâ and look at you expectantly while your head and heart battle. They may seem very creative or flamboyant. Thereâs a sense of home or familiarity too. Not sure how youâre going to get the final cut of this atm, but I definitely picked that up in the first deck I used. âYour person could look familiar to youâ it doesnât necessarily mean that you know them though for half of you I think you could. I think when you see your person you may have that âHave we met before?â moment.â
Physically you may find their hands very attractive. They could be skilled in a profession where they have to use their hands a lot (mainly for crafting Iâm getting this scenario) and could either hand you something or demonstrate something where youâre focused on their hands. Very attractive hands lol, this may make you blush. They could look very athletic. Very confident. They may turn your world upside down (in a freeing way I see).
Notable Characteristics
The most notable thing about your person may be their voice. Iâve made some traits/characteristics and the majority of what I got relates to voice. Some traits youâve got for voice are: soft, smooth, deep, animated (they may speak in a way that paints a picture), youthful/high(er)-pitched voice
Their face shape could be round or oval. They could have wavy/shoulder-length hair or no hair at all. If they wear facial hair, itâd be a beard. Their nose could be upturned or described as aquiline. For eyes, they could be round or have monolids and they may have a unique eye colour. They may have full lips or crooked teeth. Freckles. Tattoos. They may look ethereal or be a boho/laid-back and/or vintage style.
You can check out the discarded version of this pac here for any additional insights.

Series Synopsis: A series of (mostly) unrelated one shots, featuring Oliver Aiku somehow getting involved with the love lives of various Blue Lock characters â whether he wants to or not.
Chapter Synopsis: Oliver Aiku isnât sure which entity heâs wronged to earn this kind of treatment, but somehow, in the days before the match against Blue Lock, heâs stuck watching over the teamâs newest addition: Sae Itoshi, a rude midfielder whoâd rather be in Spain (or in hell) than hanging out with him. Things get a little more complicated, though, when a cup of shitty coffee leads to a crush and Aiku is forced to intervene.
Series Masterlist
Pairing: Sae x Reader
Chapter Word Count: 7.9k
Content Warnings: crack fic, sae my awkward goat, love at first sight, oliver aiku is such a bitch but heâs funny so itâs kind of okay, reader has to work in customer service đ, this is really dumb please donât judge my writing off of it, sae is 100% ooc donât come at me i KNOWWW, split perspectives (it makes sense in the story), sae slander (from aiku), reader is a fan girl but she keeps it đđđđđđđđđđ, readerâs dad has cameos but heâs just chilling tbh
A/N: the people wanted saeâs version to be posted first so uhhh here we are!! LMAO it kind of got a bit long (as usual) but itâs very silly and goofy!! anyways so this is the first entry in âoliver aikuâs guide to getting girlsâ i hope you all stick around for the rest đ¤Šâźď¸
Oliver Aiku likes to think heâs a fairly nice guy. He visits his grandmother every weekend, he rescues kittens from gutters (okay, it only happened once, but he still did it, so it counts), and heâs good enough at being captain of the Japanese U-20s that none of his teammates really hate him, so all in all, he canât be doing that bad of a job. Yeah, heâs pretty sure heâs a great person, a stand-up fellow, an upstanding member of society â so why the fuck is Sae Itoshi glaring at him like that?
âWhat?â he says, because it was fine for the first, say, twenty minutes or so, but now itâs gone from annoying to just plain concerning. âSomething going on with you?â
Sae stares at him for a moment longer, and Aiku wonders if heâs trying to communicate via telepathy. Thatâs a skill heâs never picked up, though, so he can only wait for Sae to speak up, which, thankfully, he eventually does.
âThis coffee is shit,â he says. The way he speaks is dull and blank, his lips pinched together and his brows low over his eyes. Itâs kind of a shame, in Aikuâs highly professional opinion. Heâd be handsome if he smiled more; or, if not handsome, at least approachable enough to not scare away every single girl that dared to even glance at him.
âItâs not my fault,â Aiku says. âTake it up with the barista or something.â
âYouâre the one who brought me here, so it is your fault,â Sae says. Aiku crosses his arms, because isnât Sae younger than him? This feels like a level of disrespect he shouldnât tolerate, prodigy or not.
âNuh-uh,â he says. In hindsight, itâs not the most mature response he couldâve come up with, and Sae seems to agree, snorting derisively before using a napkin to dab at a drip of coffee running down the side of his cup.
âWhat a captain,â he says with a sigh. âNo wonder you guys need me to play for you against those Blue Lock idiots.â
Aiku should be offended, he really should be â and he is! He is, and heâs just about to muster up some scathing retort thatâll definitely leave Sae Itoshi trembling, but then Saeâs standing up with purpose, so now heâs just intrigued instead of insulted. He follows after him as Sae holds the coffee in one hand and marches towards the counter, and when he realizes whatâs about to happen, he preemptively cringes.
âDonât yell at service workers!â Aiku says. It wouldâve been heroic if he had said it loud enough for Sae to hear him, but unfortunately, itâs more of a whisper than the brave shout he had intended for it to be, so he just looks kind of stupid, as if he regularly talks to himself or something.
âHey,â Sae says to the boy at the counter. Heâs young, probably no more than fifteen or sixteen, and Aiku prays that heâs not the target of Saeâs ire. âWho made this?â
The boy squints at Saeâs cup, reading the receipt, and then he smiles innocently. âThat was Y/N. Did you want to talk to her?â
âYes,â Sae says bluntly. Aiku is about to thank whichever deity was watching over him and that boy alike, but he pauses when the rest of the kidâs statement registers. Her? Her? Is Sae seriously about to yell at a girl for making bad coffee? If sheâs hot, heâll kill Sae, no doubt about it. âAnd tell her to make it quick. We donât have all day, and sheâs already wasted enough of our time.â
Yeah, heâs definitely going to kill him.Â
âY/N,â a voice whispers. Youâre untying your apron â your shift is just about over, and youâre ready to clock out, but for some reason your young coworker is peering into the kitchen nervously and gesturing for you to come with him. Normally, youâd tell him to handle things himself, but heâs new, so you decide to be responsible for once and follow after him, muttering curses to yourself as you retie your apron.
âWhatâs the matter? Did you spill something?â you say. He shakes his head, raising his hand and pointing at the counter, where two customers are waiting. You frown, because youâre pretty sure you already gave them their drinks, so thereâs no reason for them to be standing there, unless maybe they want to reorder. âWait. Did you call me to take their order? No way! My shift is over in thirty seconds!â
âNo, no, I didnât,â your coworker says. âThey want to talk to you.â
âMe? Like me, specifically?â you say. He nods.
âYeah, they asked for you by name and everything,â he says earnestly. âI think theyâre mad, though.â
You pinch the bridge of your nose, because the last thing you want to do is deal with a couple of prissy customers, especially not when youâre supposed to be heading home already. However, your coworker seems to be on the verge of tears, and some kind of sisterly affection tugs at your heartstrings, so you pat him on the shoulder and take his spot at the counter.
âHi, this is Y/N. My coworker told me you needed to see me. How can I help you?â you say. Your voice is chipper and your smile is false, but they donât need to know that. Youâve been working at the coffee shop for long enough that youâre practiced at pretending, and you know for a fact that your coworker is standing shyly at your side, probably astonished by the quality of your performance.
For a moment, neither man speaks, so you get to stare at them and make your own assumptions about who they are and what their backstories might be. Itâs kind of like a hobby, a pastime for when things are slow or youâre generally annoyed about your job. Youâve developed it over the years, and luckily, these two are prime candidates for the game.
The one on the left is tall and broad, with dark hair and mysterious eyes. Curiously, one is a bright green, while the other is a softer violet, and thereâs a few-days-old stubble growing on his square face, like a shadow running along his jaw. It gives him a rough appearance, like he owns a motorcycle and frequently wears leather jackets, but you want to believe that heâs gentle at heart. Maybe he has a fondness for baby animals or he likes to bake cookies or something along those lines.
The one on the right is shorter than his counterpart, and his hair is red like a sunset, pushed carelessly out of his haughty face. Heâs wearing a sweater that matches his eyes, though the teal of the knitted fabric is much more muted, and youâre about to come up with some kind of fantastical explanation for who he might be when you realize that you know him.
He clears his throat, and you scramble to stand up straighter, internally screaming, because what are the odds that youâve somehow managed to piss off the star player of your favorite soccer clubâs youth team? You wonder what your father will think of you now. You wonder what you think of yourself now. What should you do? Should you tell him you recognize him? Ask for an autograph? Or should you play it cool and pretend like you donât know him? What if he yells at you?
Actually, you wouldnât mind it as much as normally do. When everyday customers start screaming at you for some perceived wrong that youâve supposedly committed, you typically tune them out, and then you make fun of them with your coworkers in the back, but if itâs Sae ItoshiâŚwell. youâll certainly listen to every word he says, and when you return to the kitchen, youâll write them down somewhere so you can remember the moment forever.
âHe didnât like his drink,â he says, pointing at the dark haired man.
âWhat?â the man shrieks. The pitch is higher than you wouldâve expected from someone of his size, but it appears he realizes that, too, because then heâs coughing. âI mean, what? What are you talking about?â
âYou were just complaining, Aiku,â Sae says. âYou even made me come up here and get mad at this girl for you.â
The other man, who you guess is named Aiku, is turning a strange shade between magenta and beet-red, and youâre surprised there isnât steam coming out of his ears. Given that you donât really care about him that much, youâre instantly irritated again, because why would it matter if he didnât like his drink? Still, you have to keep up appearances.
âMy apologies, sir. Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?â you say.Â
âNo!â Aiku says. âNo, itâs â hey, Sae, you were the one who was all upset, so why are you putting it on me?â
âHm?â Sae says, obviously uninterested in the conversation already. âI dunno. Maybe it happened like that, or maybe not.â
âIâm sorry,â you say again, more than a little bewildered. âAh, Iâm new here, so Iâm still learning.â
Aiku, who has returned to a more normal and human color, smiles at you kindly, and heâs about to respond, ostensibly to reassure you, but then your damned coworker pipes up: âNo, sheâs not.â
âAh, sorry?â Aiku says.
âSheâs not new,â your coworker says again.
ââNewâ is a subjective term,â you say mechanically, wishing that it was acceptable for you to turn around and hit him in public whenever you wanted.
âI donât think anyone would consider you to be new when youâve been working here for three years,â your coworker says. You can imagine the innocent, guileless expression on his face right now. You want to do something violent to it.
âHa, ha,â you say. You think your eye might twitch, too, but if Aiku or Sae notice, then neither of them point it out. âWhat a knowledgeable fellow we have back here.â
âItâs alright,â Aiku says. âI didnât mind the drink. Saeâs the one who threw a fit about it.â
âI liked it,â Sae says stubbornly. âIt was fine.â
You step in before Aiku can turn magenta again, because thatâs probably unhealthy for him, and you donât want to be held liable for a customer dying on your watch when youâre not even being paid for it.
âAnyways, is that all? Iâm actually done with my shift, so if you guys donât need anything elseâŚâ you trail off, though inside youâre screaming something along the lines of Sae Itoshi, please notice me and give me your autograph and oh, if you could fall in love with me, too, that would be amazing!
Of course, you canât verbalize anything like that, so you just smile and wave until the door slams shut behind them. Then youâre yanking your apron off and balling it up before chucking it at your coworkerâs face. It hits him in the nose and slides to the ground; he gives you an offended look before picking it up.
âYouâre lucky it was only an apron,â you say. You owe me big time, you little shit.â
âHuh?â he says.
âI wonât forget this!â you warn him, stomping towards the small locker room, where your precious phone is waiting for you. âYouâre a major-league jerk, okay? Donât ever ask me to cover another shift for you again!â
âHuh?âÂ
âWhat the hell was that?â Aiku snaps as soon as theyâve left the cafe, because this is totally not what he was expecting when his coach told him that he had to treat Sae nicely and make him feel welcome.Â
âWhat was what?â Sae says. Heâs sipping on his coffee sedately now, even though he was complaining about it only minutes earlier.
âSince when was I the one who was upset about my coffee?â Aiku says.
âI have a bad memory,â Sae deadpans. âI guess it couldâve been either of us.â
âThat was not believable in the slightest,â Aiku feels the need to inform him. Judging by Saeâs expression, it wasnât meant to be believable, though, and Aiku sighs. âSeriously, whatâs your deal? You were just going crazy and glaring at me because you thought the coffee sucked, and now you think itâs good?â
âI shouldâve waited for it to cool,â Sae says. âItâs better now. I was being hasty.â
âUh-huh,â Aiku says. âSure. Letâs do something else tomorrow. I donât ever want to go back there. I donât think I can face that girl again. She was so hot, too, and now she probably thinks Iâm some ungrateful assholeâŚâ
âI want to go back,â Sae says immediately, throwing the now-empty cup into the nearest trash can. Aiku furrows his brow at him, trying to puzzle out this latest contradiction and finding himself utterly unable to. âTomorrow.â
âTomorrow,â Aiku repeats dubiously. Tomorrow he has practice, and technically so does Sae. However, they both know that Sae doesnât need anything as ridiculous as practice in order to win against a team of eleven high-school forwards, and heâs fairly confident that his coach will tell him to accompany the bratty Itoshi instead of showing up, since the JFU is pulling out all of the stops if it means getting Sae to stay in Japan for good.
âTomorrow,â Sae reaffirms.
Iâm a nice guy, Aiku tries to remind himself. This is what nice guys do. Iâm boosting team morale. Yeah. Thatâs all. Captainâs duties.
Still, as he chases after Sae, who apparently doesnât know what the word âstrollâ means and prefers to do everything at a brisk pace more akin to a jog, he thinks that this entire ridiculous assignment feels more like a babysitterâs duties than anything.Â
âAre you serious?â your father says. In the background, the TV is playing a game between Re Al and Barcha, which is rather fitting.
âDeadly,â you say, untying the laces of your sneakers and putting them with the rest of your shoes. âIt was actually him.â
âSae Itoshi,â he says, shaking his head. âHeâs back from Spain?â
âSeems like it,â you say, though now that he mentions it, youâre as confused as he is. Why is Sae Itoshi here instead of Madrid? You glance at the TV â Barcha has just scored, and the cameras are sweeping through the crowds, showing the excited fans cheering â and wonder if maybe he was fired or something. You doubt that thatâs what happened; after all, heâs a consistent player, and the last time he was in a match, he even managed to outmaneuver that freaky striker who plays for Bastard MĂźnchen, so it would make zero sense for Re Al to let him go. Besides, even if they did, youâre sure thereâs dozens of clubs that would be willing to take him, so there must be another reason for his presence in Japan.
âHuh,â your father says. âWell. Good for him.âÂ
âI guess so,â you say. âIf I ever see him again, Iâll ask him what heâs doing in town.â
Your father chuckles, taking a sip of his beer and giving you a thumbs up. âYeah, you do that. Let me know what he says.â
You laugh, too, sitting down at the counter and eating a plate of reheated leftovers, because you know as well as your father that the idea of you ever seeing Sae Itoshi again is more than a little far-fetched. But itâs a nice thought, and anyways the chances are never zero, so for the moment, you allow yourself to imagine.Â
Aiku is seriously questioning if Sae Itoshi was sent to this earth â or at least to this country â as some kind of punishment for him. Heâs not really sure whatâs done that would invite such cosmic retribution, but maybe itâs one of thoseâŚwhat did that girl call them? Karmic debts? She had said something about the sins of his past life and all, though he canât recall the specifics.
Wait. Thatâs wrong. He just never learnt them in the first place, so how could he remember them in the first place? He had broken up with her before she could explain her theories to him. This prompts a wince from him, which is further fueled by the way his t-shirt sticks to his back with sweat. Itâs a distinctively uncomfortable feeling, and heâs contemplating complaining, even though it probably wonât do much.
âShut up,â Sae says.
âI didnât say anything!â Aiku protests, more than a little spooked, since he actually had been about to say something before Sae had cut him off.
âI can see you making faces at me,â Sae says. Considering Sae is walking ahead of him and to the side, Aikuâs not quite sure how he could tell anything about what sorts of faces Aiku is making, but unfortunately, heâs uncannily correct as always, so Aiku schools his expression into a smooth, neutral one that wonât beget reprimand from his companion.
âI canât believe you insisted on going here straight after practice,â he says.
âThis is the same time we went yesterday,â Sae says. Heâs kind of an insufferable smart-ass, Aiku thinks to himself, though heâd never say as much to Saeâs face. After all, unlike his counterpart, heâs considerate like that, and he always has been.
âSo? We didnât have practice yesterday,â Aiku says. âYou couldnât even let me shower?â
âYou take forever in the showers,â Sae says. This is rich, for Sae is notoriously obsessive with his skincare, and of the entire team, he takes far and away the longest to get ready. But, then again, Aiku supposes that idiocy is one of those illnesses which spreads further and further until all of oneâs perspectives are tainted with the virus.
âI couldâve been quick,â he says. âIt wouldâve been better if I couldâve at least rinsed off so I didnât look so gross. I want to impress that Y/N girl if sheâs there again today.â
âYouâre not her type,â Sae says dismissively. âSo why bother?â
âHow do you know? Are the two of you childhood buddies or something?â Aiku says. Sae glances at him, and of course heâs way too holier-than-thou to properly sneer, but the corners of his lips turn downwards to the same effect.
âNot too hard to figure out,â he says.Â
âWell, hold on just a moment! I got the vibe that she was totally into me yesterday!â Aiku says. He actually did not get any such vibes from the barista; the only thing she seemed into was clocking out, but heâs Oliver Aiku. If he canât get a girl, he canât do anything. Besides, itâs not like Sae would be able to tell one way or another â Aiku and his teammate Sendou have a theory that Sae was created in a lab as some kind of experiment to make the worldâs best midfielder, because the guy really doesnât have any knowledge or concern for anything thatâs unrelated to soccer.
True to form, Sae blinks unsurely. âReally?â
âYeah, one hundred percent,â Aiku boasts, although then heâs narrowing his eyes, because such a question is so out of Saeâs character that for a moment, he wonders if thereâs been a mistake and heâs actually taken some other team member of his along for this ridiculous errand.
Messy red hair. Teal eyes. Forehead creased with a frown. No, itâs definitely Sae Itoshi, thatâs for sure. Just Sae Itoshi in a mood that heâs never seen before. If they were a little closer, heâd ask him whatâs the big deal now, but as it is, the question would probably go unappreciated.
âHm,â Sae says. âWhatever. Weâll see.â
âSure,â Aiku says slowly, reaching out to hold open the door of the cafe so he can enter behind Sae, since his lovely, amazing, wonderful, kindhearted teammate so generously left it to slam shut in his face.Â
What a total dick. He makes a mental note to ask the JFU for a raise, because whatever theyâre giving him at the moment is definitely not enough.Â
âTheyâre back again!â your coworker says. Youâre still mad at him for yesterday, so youâve been giving him the silent treatment the entire shift. It hasnât gone unnoticed, but his pitiful attempts at reconciliation never include an apology, so you havenât budged yet.
He waits for you to respond, but youâre pretty sure heâs making stuff up to get you to pay attention to him, and anyways they could be in reference to anyone, so you continue to pour milk into a cup, acting like itâs an all-consuming task which you cannot possibly complete without the utmost of concentration.
âIâm being serious! Y/N, itâs Sae Itoshi and, uh, that other dude!â he says. Your hand wobbles for the briefest moment, but you conclude that heâs most likely lying, so you steady yourself and continue pouring the milk. âFine, be that way! Iâll serve them myself!â
You canât even say something snarky in response, because thatâll still be a win on his part, so you huff particularly loudly to no one in particular and leave it at that.
A few minutes later, heâs back, looking so contrite that if you werenât upset with him, youâd actually be worried. Unfortunately, you very much are upset with him, so you find it on the whole to be rather hilarious and have to suppress a laugh.Â
He must take your amusement as a signal to talk, because he speaks eagerly and quickly, stumbling over his words and clasping his hands together in front of him.
âY/N, Y/N, theyâre insisting on seeing you, I told them youâre working right now â Iâm sorry, Iâm not supposed to do that, right? But I did, and now they really want to see you!â he says.
Youâre still not entirely convinced, but if this is an act, then itâs a dedicated one, and you donât think that he possesses that much dedication in all of his body, so maybe heâs actually telling the truth.
âFine,â you say. âBut if youâre lying, I swear Iâm telling our manager to fire you.â
âIâm not!â he squeaks, darting back to the counter, rocking back and forth on his heels as he waits for you to catch up to him.
When you reach the front, youâre surprised to see that it is in fact Sae Itoshi andâŚwhoever that other guy is. Aiku? Yes, that sounds right. Itâs Sae and Aiku, and one looks supremely inconvenienced â this would be Sae, of course â while his friend is running a hand through his sweaty hair, flashing you a grin.
You smile back at him, because thatâs what youâre trained to do, and you donât want your coworker to tattle to your manager that youâre not abiding by the cafeâs standards of customer service. Then you stare at them until one of them starts speaking, because thatâs what your entire job is, and no matter how badly you want to start gushing to Sae Itoshi about how big of a fan you are, you have to remain professional.
âIs there anything I can do for you two?â you finally say. This prompts Aiku to nod, nudging Sae in the side, which earns him a dark glare.
âI want the number two, and heâll take the number five,â Aiku says when Sae does not speak up. You want to tell him that nobody orders like that, but youâre not supposed to and itâs really not that big of a deal either way, so you just ring up the order.
âSounds good. Would you like to pay with cash or credit?â you say.
âCredit,â Sae says, pulling out a card that probably has a monthly spending limit higher than what you make in a year. âAnd weâre splitting the bill, just so you know.â
What you want to say is Wow, Sae, youâre somehow even cooler in real-life! Whoâs your favorite soccer player? Whatâs your favorite food? Do you like Spain better, or here? What you actually say is: âNo problem. Iâll have those right out for you.â
âThanks,â Aiku says. Heâs kind of charming, in a sense; you can think of several friends you have that would probably swoon at the way his smile stretches across his face, but you donât really see the appeal. Or, maybe you would normally, but at the moment, heâs standing next to Sae Itoshi, so itâs a little hard to focus on him at all.
âYeah,â Sae says. âThank you. Y/N.â
Heâs probably just reading off of your name tag in an effort to seem more friendly and relatable and humble and all. Itâs a classic PR move that he was probably taught as soon as he joined Re Al. You know about it, though, so it shouldnât work on you. It wonât work on you. Heâs just doing what heâs trained to, the same as you are.
It works on you. You run to the back and hide your face in your hands and squeal, because Sae fucking Itoshi just said your name.Â
âHoly fucking shit,â Aiku says.
âAre we just listing curse words now?â Sae says dryly. âBitch, cunt, hell. Thereâs three more for you.â
âYou like the barista!â Aiku accuses. If Sae was drinking something, he wouldâve spit it out just then, but heâs not, so he just chokes on his saliva.Â
âNo way,â he says.
âYes, you do! How else can you explain this?â Aiku says, pitching his voice up in an imitation of Saeâs. âYeah. Thank you. Y/N. Since when do you say thank you to people?â
âSince always? I have manners,â Sae says.
âIâve never heard you say it,â Aiku says.
âMaybe thatâs more telling about you than me,â Sae suggests. Aiku scowls at him.
âYou definitely like her,â he says. âNo judgment here, man. Sheâs pretty.â
âWhatever,â Sae says. âEven if I did like her â mind you, I donât â sheâs clearly into you.â
âMe?â Aiku says. âI was just messing with you earlier, you know. Anyways, yeah, I think sheâs hot, but, like, youâve never liked a girl before, right? So I wouldnât get in the way of that. This is a big step.â
âYouâre not getting in the way of anything. Do what you want,â Sae says.Â
Aikuâs already pulling out his phone and texting Sendou: big news. Lab experiment just evolved. Feels attraction and jealousy now.
âUh-huh,â he responds absentmindedly. Sendou texts back with about fifty mind-blown emojis, and he snickers to himself, liking the message.
âAnyways, who told you Iâve never liked anyone before?â Sae says defensively. Aiku just about drops his phone, leaning forwards in interest. Could it be? Are he and Sae actually bonding? Is Sae about to tell him about his first love â who apparently is not this barista?
âI just guessed. Was I wrong?â Aiku says. Heâs already trying to come up with who Sae mightâve liked â a childhood neighbor or friend? A womenâs soccer player he admired? A girl he saw once in Spain but never again? Oh, that last one is particularly romanticâŚheâs just about accepted it as fact when Sae glares at him.
âNo,â he says. Aikuâs dreams are shattered in an instant, but he can only shake his head while chuckling, both because Sae has inadvertently admitted that he actually does like that Y/N girl, and because he was an idiot for believing that âSae Itoshiâ and âromanticâ could ever belong together in one sentence.
âYeah, thatâs what I thought.âÂ
âWhat do I do?â you say. You and your coworker are back on speaking terms, mostly because you have no one else to talk to and are so desperate that youâre willing to temporarily forgive him.Â
âMake their drinks?â he says. You give him a dirty look as you begin mixing up their orders.Â
âNot about that. Iâm such a huge fan of Saeâs, and this is the second time Iâm making a drink for him. Itâs kind of like fate, donât you think? Should I try to talk to him or something?â you say.
âDo you want to?â your coworker says. Itâs a slower time of day, so he has nothing to do but sit and watch you â at least, nothing immediate. Thereâs certainly things he could be doing, but youâre not about to chide him when youâre the reason heâs slacking off.
âObviously! But what am I supposed to even say? Iâll sound like a creep if I just start acting like a fan-girl!â you say.
âThatâs true,â your coworker says. âYou kind of sound like one even nowâŚâ
âUgh, if youâre not going to be helpful, then go organize the storeroom or something!â
âWhat about her makes you like her?â Aiku presses.
âAre we still on this?â Sae says, as if theyâve been talking about it for hours. âI donât like her.â
âItâs not like you talked to her for a whileâŚwas it really just her looks?â Aiku says. âDamn. Didnât think you were the shallow type.â
âI am not the shallow type!â Sae says.
âThat sounds like something that a shallow person would say,â Aiku teases.
âShut up,â Sae says. Aiku doesnât have enough fingers or toes to count how many times Saeâs said that particular phrase to him. Maybe if he counted all of the fingers and all of the toes of every single person in the world, he would get kind of close to what that number might be. âIâm not shallow, I donât like her, and sheâs obviously way more interested in talking to you than me, so get off my back.â
Aiku whistles. âSomeoneâs jealous.â
âIâm telling the JFU that you were the one who sent me back to Spain,â Sae informs him bluntly. Aiku isnât sure if thatâs a joke or a legitimate threat. Itâs hard to tell with Sae sometimes.
âAre you serious?â Aiku says.
âDeadly,â Sae says.
Yep, Aiku decides. Heâs serious.Â
âIf only that Aiku dude wasnât there,â you lament, setting the first drink in the pick-up area and calling out Aikuâs name before returning to finish Saeâs drink. âItâd be way easier to talk to Sae without someone there to judge everything Iâm saying.â
âDo you think heâd even care?â your coworker says. You shrug.
âNo idea. Itâs intimidating to talk to guys around their friends, though. Youâre a guy yourself, so you wouldnât get it,â you say.
âAre they even friends?â your coworker says. âDoesnât seem like they get along that well.â
In unison, the two of you turn so you can look at the duo, who are sitting at a table right within your line of sight. As your coworker said, they donât look like theyâre friends in the slightest. Aiku is sipping on his drink with a smirk, and Sae looks like heâd rather be anywhere else, doing anything else, than be sitting there with his not-friend.
âThe point still stands,â you say.Â
âGuess so,â your coworker says. Just then, Sae Itoshi happens to glance over, making direct eye contact with you. Your eyebrows raise, and your face warms as you realize youâve been caught. Aiku turns to follow Saeâs line of sight as you weigh your options. Should you pretend like you werenât doing anything? Should you wave?
You decide to just smile again before returning to the drink you were supposed to be working on. Your coworker, who saw the entire exchange, cannot stop laughing.
âItâs over for you,â he says. âHe definitely thinks youâre a creepy fan-girl now. You can kiss that autograph goodbye.â
âYouâre lucky Iâm too lazy to remake this drink,â you say. âBecause otherwise, Iâd spill it on you.â
âThatâs against company policy,â he says.
âBy accident, of course,â you say with a malicious grin.
âThatâs against company policy, too!âÂ
âLook, she just smiled at you. I bet she was looking at you the entire time,â Sae says coolly. âYou should ask for her number. You already said you think sheâs beautiful.â
âI said sheâs hot. Iâm not all poetic and shit like that,â Aiku says. âAnd I wouldnât do that. Itâs against the bro code.â
âWeâre not âbrosâ, so you can put that out of your head,â Sae says.
âWhat if I help you get her number?â Aiku says. Sae tries very hard to maintain his nonchalant look, but Aiku can tell that his curiosity has been piqued. âWill you consider me a bro then? At the minimum, will you tell the JFU that Iâve done a great job at showing you around and making you feel welcome?â
Please please please please please I really need a fucking raise Sae Iâm broke please please please âÂ
âSure,â Sae says.
âSure?â Aiku says. âYes! Okay, this will be easy.â
Sae scoffs. âYeah, okay. If thatâs what you think.â
âBelieve me,â Aiku says. âYouâre in the presence of a master.â
Sae doesnât even dignify that with a response beyond the most disgusted look Aiku has ever seen on anyone, Sae or not. Heâd say something, but heâs pretty sure he deserves it at least a little, and anyways a possible raise is way more important to him than being right, so he keeps his mouth shut, simply giving Sae a double-thumbs-up. Heâs going to ace this new assignment, and then maybe heâll actually be paid what heâs worth instead of pennies on the dime.
Youâre about to call out Saeâs name when you realize that for some reason, both Aiku and Sae are standing there and waiting for you. You furrow your brow, because itâs both a menacing and a comical sight â the hulking Aiku, who looks like heâs about to go punch a criminal on television before flipping his hair and telling the ladies that thereâs enough of him to go around, and the slender Sae Itoshi, who you canât imagine doing anything but slamming a winning pass to one of his teammates, invariably leading to a soccer ball in his opponentâs net.
âUh, hello,â you say.
âHello,â Aiku says.
âHi,â Sae says.
âI have your drink,â you say to Sae.
âI know,â he says, taking it from your hand. Of course â why else would they be here? They mustâve seen you finishing up the drink and rightly assumed that it was theirs.
âRight,â you say. Neither of them go to leave, and now you wonder if they just donât understand social cues or something like that. âDid you guys want to order something else? My coworker would be happy to take you at the counter.â
âNo,â Sae says.
âOkay,â you say slowly. âWell, I hope you enjoy your drinks.â
âWe will,â Sae says with the utmost of confidence. Aiku groans and then thumps him on the back. You have a feeling you probably donât want to know what the significance of the gesture is, but then you realize that this is probably the only chance youâll get to have a proper conversation with Sae Itoshi, so you shove your concerns aside.
âWait! If it doesnât bother you too much, can I ask you a question?â you say. Itâs an incredibly awkward way of going about it, but given how awkward this entire interaction has been, you donât think itâs a huge deal.Â
âGo ahead,â Aiku says. You werenât asking him, but you guess the permission covers them both, so you square your shoulders and face Sae Itoshi, who seems entirely confused that youâre looking at him instead of Aiku. Youâre not sure why he would be, since between the two of them heâs the celebrity, but maybe thereâs some weird dynamic going on that youâre unaware of.
It doesnât matter to you, though. You only have one thing to ask. Youâll never cross paths with Sae again, will you? So itâs fine. You can act a little embarrassing, and anyways, you barely make above minimum wage, so if your manager gets too upset and fires you for âunprofessional conductâ or something, it wonât be a huge loss. Itâll be worth it, even, considering this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance and your coworker is busy reorganizing the storeroom like you told him to, so heâs not around to spy on you and report back to your stodgy old manager.
Taking a deep breath, you open your mouth and begin to speak.Â
Aiku hadnât dared to even dream of the possibility that the barista might already like Sae, too. Why would she? Sae had just been all weird and rude to her in the couple of times that they had spoken, so all in all sheâd have to be somewhat of a masochist, or a Re Al fan (which was essentially the same thing, given the losing streak that Re Al had been on for the last month or so), to be into him. But sometimes miracles did happen and baristas were masochists, because the girl was turning to Sae with shimmering eyes and a hopeful expression and it was all going to go so wellâ
âWhat are you even doing in Japan in the first place?â
Did he hear her right? Sae is bewildered as well, but Y/N isnât acting like sheâs just asked the most ridiculous question she couldâve possibly asked. What is Sae doing in Japan? Well, he happens to be a citizen of the nation, so thereâs one explanationâŚAiku wants to facepalm, because now his plans have been ruined and Saeâs confidence has probably been crushed.
âPardon?â Sae says. Aiku had told him not to act so cranky and old-man-ish when he approaches the girl, but honestly, at this point, thereâs no helping him, so he doesnât even bother with a correction.
âWhy are you in Japan?â she says again, all bright and innocent and cheery. It somehow feels like sheâs been faking things so far, and that this is the real her, which sheâs been holding back up until this point. Aiku isnât so sure if thatâs a good thing; privately, he believes it wouldâve been better if she kept holding back just a little bit longer. Long enough for her to reject Sae â who still claims heâs not into her and is just trying to âbe friendlyâ, as if friendliness is something heâs well known for â and then move on with her day.
âMy passport expired?â Sae says, phrasing it more like a question. âSo I had to come back and get it renewed?â
His voice ticks up at the end of every sentence unsurely. Itâs almost cute, like heâs a little baby chick. Aikuâs fond of chicks, so he decides heâll step in. Just this once.
âHeâs visiting from Spain to play for the Japanese U-20 team in an upcoming exhibition match,â he explains.
âOh, wow,â she says. âBut I thought you said you would rather give up on soccer or play with German college kids than ever play soccer for Japan?â
Aiku raises an eyebrow. He wasnât aware of such sentiments, and though heâs not exactly shocked, he canât help feeling a bit miffed. When he glances over at Sae, thereâs not a trace of remorse on his face, and so he wrinkles his nose.
Forget the raise and the baby-chick-esque mannerisms alike. Heâs done helping this ungrateful, no-good, lame-as-hell, girl-repelling loser for free. If Sae wants any further assistance, heâll have to beg for it.Â
âHow did you know I said that?â Sae says. You clap your hand over your mouth when you realize youâve exposed yourself.
âI, um, I was just guessing!â you say.
âGuessing?â he repeats. You swear, because thatâs actually a worse explanation than the original one, and then you hang your head, because if the catâs out of the bag, then thereâs no way you can put it back in.
âItâs a quote from one of your interviews,â you mumble.
âWhat?â Itâs Aiku, who immediately frowns when he realizes heâs butted in. Sae gives him an odd look out of the corner of his eye.
âIâm a big fan of yours,â you say. âThe last game you played in, when you stole the ball from that Bastard MĂźnchen striker, was amazing! To tell you the truth, Iâve been trying to figure out why youâre in the area instead of back in Madrid. Itâs a little unbelievable, you see.â
âAh,â Sae says, and for some reason he looks uncomfortable. âWell. Yeah. It was just the issues with my passport and all. I decided to play for the U-20s because I was offered a good deal, but itâs right back to Madrid for me after that.â
âThat makes sense,â you say. Itâs awkward again, but in a different way. You donât know what to say. You donât think he does either. His drink is probably cold now, and youâre surprised that Aikuâs eyes arenât stuck in the back of his head, given how frequently heâs been rolling them. âCan I have your autograph?â
âNo,â Sae says immediately. Youâre a little taken aback, and to be honest, he looks kind of horrified himself, but you know better than to nag, so you only nod at him.
âNo worriesââ you begin before youâre cut off by a grumbling Aiku.
âHeâll give you his number instead. Here,â Aiku says, listing off a series of digits too rapidly for you to remember. âHeâll write it down, for you, right, Sae?â
And then, to your utter disbelief, Sae Itoshi is pulling out a pen and a piece of paper from who knows where, and heâs humming in agreement.
âRight,â he says, and then heâs handing you a note with his phone number written on it in neat print and his signature in flowing cursive. âYou can call me later. If you want. Y/N.â
The way he speaks is stilted and low, but you donât mind it. Tucking the piece of paper into your apron pocket, you beam at him.
âAlright,â you say. âIâll call you. I still have more things to ask you, so itâs good that you gave me this.â
âYes,â Sae says. âYes, you can do that if youâd like.â
Then he and Aiku are leaving the coffee shop, their drinks in hand, and youâre standing there in awe, wondering if that actually just happened or if it was nothing but a particularly vivid flight of fancy.Â
If itâs the latter, then you almost hope itâs one you donât ever escape from.Â
âYouâre welcome,â Aiku says as they leave the cafe.Â
âI didnât say thank you, you lukewarm oaf,â Sae says. Aiku shrugs. Heâs hard to ruffle, after all. Itâs the reason why he stepped in and rescued Sae from that little mistake of his. He just couldnât bear the thought of his dear junior losing the girl of his dreams because of a slip of his tongue, even if aforementioned junior is the insufferable smart-ass type.
Well, the thought of the money heâll make if Sae speaks of him highly to the JFU doesnât hurt, either, but thatâs less altruistic, so he prefers to stick to the first explanation.
âI bet you feel it, though,â Aiku says.
âShut up,â Sae says.Â
Itâs a good thing babies are born every minute. Otherwise, given how frequently Sae says that particular phrase, Aiku really might run out of things to count on.Â
Youâve typed the number on the piece of paper into your phone, and now youâre staring at it blankly, wondering if you should press the green call button. What if it was a prank? What if it wasnât? Because then youâll have to actually talk to Sae Itoshi, and youâre not so sure you can do that.
In a fit of inspiration, you slam your index finger against your screen and hold your phone up to your ear. It rings a couple of times, each subsequent one worsening the pit in your stomach, but then it stops ringing entirely, which can only mean one thing: Sae, if this really is his number, has answered.
âHello?â you say.
âHello?â he responds. âY/N?â
âYes!â you say. âItâs me. Y/N. Like you said.â
âCool,â he says. âItâs Sae. Which I guess you knew, since you called me.â
âThe confirmation was nice,â you say, internally sighing in relief. âThanks.â
âYouâre welcome,â he says. Itâs mannerly but also a little sarcastic, albeit not in a mean way. You donât mind it much. âYou said you had to ask me some things?â
The two of you spend the next few minutes in a setting kind of like an interview, in that you drill him with questions and he answers them all patiently. Heâs kind about it, humoring you even though he doesnât have to, and he never threatens to hang up, which you do appreciate.
âWould you mind if I ask a question, too?â he says when youâve taken a break to drink some water.
âGo ahead! Although Iâm not as interesting as you are,â you say.
âI think youâre probably way more interesting,â he admits. âAnyways. Are you free next weekend?â
âUh, I think I have a shift on Saturday, but to be honest, my coworker owes me, so he can cover it. Why?â you say.
âThe exhibition game that Iâm playing with the U-20s for. You should come watch,â he says.
âOh! Sure, where should I get tickets? Iâd have gotten them already if I knew you were playing,â you say.
âIâm allowed to invite someone,â he says. âFriends or family. So Iâm inviting you.â
âDonât you have actual friends that you can invite?â you say before gasping. âSorry! Sorry, that was super insensitive and rude of me. Of course Iâm honored to come, Iâm just confused about why Iâm the one youâre inviting. Me. Iâve literally made coffee for you twice, and thatâs about it.â
âYeah, thatâs true,â he says before pausing. âUm, look, Aiku told me to say this, so if itâs uncomfortable, then blame himâŚbut I think youâre, er, beautiful?â
Your mind short-circuits. âHuh?â
âI donât know! Heâs the one who has experience, Iâm just taking his advice!â Sae says, his tone souring immediately afterwards. âTrust me, itâs not like I want to. Thereâs many things Iâd rather do than follow Oliver Aikuâs advice, but at the moment, itâs the best I can do.â
âBeautiful,â you repeat. Itâs such an elegant adjective. Youâve been called pretty before, and thereâs been a fair share of guys who have considered you to be hot, but beautifulâŚitâs nice. Itâs really nice.
âYeah,â Sae finally says. âBasically.â
âIâll be there,â you say. Thereâs something like a scream bubbling in your throat, but you fight it back, knowing that itâs of the utmost importance that you maintain a relaxed demeanor.
âGreat,â Sae says. âSee you.â
âSee you,â you say, and then you hang up before he can say anything further, because youâre already on the verge of combustion and you donât think you can handle anything more.
Throwing your phone across the room, you give in and scream. Thereâs thundering footsteps, and then your father is throwing the door to your bedroom open, whipping his head around wildly.
âIs everything alright? Why are you screaming?â he says, heaving for breath, probably because he just sprinted from his spot on the couch to your bedroom in record time.
âSae Itoshi!â you say.
âYes?â he says, the rate of his inhales and exhales lowering as he realizes thereâs no active threat to your life or property. âWhat about him?â
âHe told me Iâm beautiful and invited me to watch his game next weekend,â you say, knowing that this is going to make your father â a fellow Re Al fan â freak out.
You wait, counting down as he processes the news, unable to contain your exuberant grin, knowing exactly whatâs coming. Three, two, oneâ
âWhat?â

How they act when crushing UT,UF,US!
This one was fun I might do a part 2 eventually because I love how people change their behavior while crushing on someone think next is gonna be confession head canons or a drabble. Anyway requests are open! Just wanted to put that out there I love getting them ::> and I'm pretty open to writing most things I love getting different inspo from different people. Anyways I'm done rambling hope y'all enjoy!
Undertale:
Sans:
Trys to make you laugh as much as possible. He loves hearing your laughter and is super proud when he can get you to full on laugh with his shitty jokes. He's a daydreamer and often daydreams about you when it's slow at work or he's in bed alone. He won't admit how nice he sleeps when he sees you in his dreams. You motivate him to get out of bed easier on days he gets to see you so that's a plus
Papyrus:
He likes to be around you as much as he can. Like doing menial things together?? Oh you have a doctor's appointment, sure why don't I come and we get lunch afterwards. He just likes spending time with you! "Accidentally" making too much food for meals so he has a reason to see you and make sure you're eating something.
Underfell:
Red:
Heavy denial before reluctantly accepting. He's a flirty guy he thinks it's all fun and games until he's thinking about you at 3 am with a blush in his face imagining a future and doing cute relationship things with you. He knows he's fucked. He doesn't really believe someone would like him so from his perspective it's one sided attraction all the way and that hurts. He still flirts but it kinda hurts him inside too. Teasing himself with something he thinks he'll never have. He doesn't distance himself but he's a bit rougher maybe trying to scare you off a tad.
Edge:
Denial worse than his brother. He doesn't have time for crushes or anything of the sort. It's improbable that he does like you that way anyways it's just a passing attraction he simply likes the way you say his name, and the way your legs look when you walk and stretch out, and the way your eyes crinkle when you smile, and oh ⌠He's fucked. He'll continue to deny it to himself until someone ,most likely his brother or his version of Undyne, points it out. Then he's trying to hide it, trying to play it off. The passing touches he lets linger too long, how even though his days are scheduled he still somehow ends up running into you occasionally.
Underswap:
Stretch:
We got another daydreamer and he's 50/50 with risque and wholesome daydreams. He finds any excuse to touch you and let's the touches linger. He's flirty and loves if you flirt back, kind of easy to fluster flushing a gorgeous marigold shade as he nye he he's. He invites you over for gaming or movie nights, wanting to share his interests with you and find some shared interests in shows and such. He definitely has written a song about you that he keeps hidden in a folder in his closet. There's a doodle of you on the back of the page and he's a little embarrassed of it.
Blue:
He can tell when he likes someone like that he's pretty intune with his emotions. He likes to hang around you taking time out of his day and dedicating it specifically to you. He writes you little notes and reminders and hides them around your space to find, knows where you hide when you're sad and hides a bunch there. He blogs about you on occasion never mentioning your name but simply writing about you. He likes to find two player games for you two to play together mainly team working puzzle ones.
