Aaron the farmer and people from Pelican Town :)
(part 2) (part 3)
I love to fit the farmer into their environment and try to imagine how they interact with the rest of the village
(will probably do a part 2 at some point)
#Aaron (the farmer) is always there to try stuff for Emily even though it's way out of their comfort zone#Rasmodius was pretty mad at the farmer for this but he got a lot of help from them so he accepted anyway#And Shane is really just teasing the farmer all the time; but in an endearing way#i really enjoy the breaking bad Rasmodius doodle don't know about U#will probably do the A.S.S gang next 👀#and Harvey of course ! :)#maybe Elliott too ? we'll see#my art#art#doodle#sdv#stardew valley#sdv farmer#sdv shane#sdv emily#sdv rasmodius#stardew#stardew valley emily#stardew valley rasmodius

Just a little something to commemorate August’s two closest friends in the valley ! August and Abigail hit it off right away when August first moves in, and she really is like a partner in crime to August. Shane takes a *lot* longer to come around, but he manages to eventually, and they really develop an almost sibling like relationship over the years. She’s incredibly grateful for the both of them and they definitely made moving in sooo much easier :)

Honestly my favorite thing to do in the summer is to buy some Ice Cream from Alex and give them to Penny, Jas and Vincent. Is just a little thing I do sometimes, I just think Penny deserves a treat for looking after the kids and teaching them and Jas & Vincent love Ice Cream so is a win-win!
#Is the little things for me hehe#Like how I go daily by Alex's house so I already stop by to talk with him. And I visit the beach daily in the morning so yk I get to speak#With them during the summer a lot. Buying treats for Penny Jas and Vincent during summer. Stopping Shane on his way to work every day and#Giving him a pizza from time to time to make his day a little bit better. Visiting Willy at least once per week to see how he's doing#Always talking with Sam when I see him around 🤭. Giving George some leek when I see him outside to make his day better#Running away when I see Harvey around abshjdjs#Idk. I just do them. It help a little with the whole role-playing side of the game hahaha. I hate doing things that feel unnatural#Like yeah I wanna get a better relationships with them but I don't want to just gift them things out of nowhere man#I want to get slow#Anyway. Enough about that lol#sdv penny#stardew valley penny#sdv vincent#stardew valley vincent#sdv jas#stardew valley jas#Sdv#Stardew valley

I see a lot of people clowning on the people of Pelican Town for not repairing the community center themselves or clowning on Lewis for embezzling and. like. Those criticisms aren't entirely unfair. But I think instead of coming at it from a perspective of "why can't the townspeople do this" we should be asking "why and how can the farmer do this?"
Like. Think about it. The farmer arrives in Stardew Valley on the first day of spring. By the first day they're obviously different. By day five the spirits of the forest who haven't been seen by the townsfolk in years or generations are speaking to them. By the second week they've developed a rapport with the wizard that lives outside town.
In the spring they go foraging and find more than even Linus, who's spent so many years learning the ways of the valley. Maybe he knows, when he sees them walking back home. Maybe he looks at them and understands that they're different, chosen somehow.
In the summer they fish in the lakes and the ocean for hours on end, catching fish that even Willy's only ever heard of, fish that he thought were the stuff of legend. They pull up giants from the deep and mutated monstrosities from the sewers.
In the fall, their crops grow incredibly immense; pumpkins twice as tall as a person, big enough that someone could live inside. The farmer cuts it down with an axe without even batting an eye. Does Lewis wonder, when he checks the collection bin that night and finds it full to the brim with pumpkin flesh? What does he think? Does he even leave the money? Does he have the funds to pay the farmer millions of dollars for the massive amounts of wine they sell? Or is it someone--something--else entirely?
In the winter, the farmer delves into the mines. No one in Pelican Town has been down there in decades. No one in living memory has been to the bottom. The farmer gets there within the season. They return to the surface with stories of dwarven ruins and shadow people, stories they only tell to Vincent and Jas, whose retellings will be dismissed by the adults as flights of fancy. People walking by the entrance to the mines sometimes hear the farmer in there, speaking in a language no one can understand. Something speaks back.
The farmer speaks to the the wizard. They speak to the spirit of a bear inside a centuries-old stone. They speak to the shadow people and the dwarves, ancient enemies, and they try to mend the rift. They speak to the Junimos, ancient spirits of the forest and the river and the mountain. They taste the nectar of the stardrops and speak to the valley itself. They change Pelican Town, and they change the valley. Things are waking up.
And what does Evelyn think? She's the oldest person in the valley; she was here when the farmer's grandfather was young. (How old *is* she, anyway? She never seems to age. She doesn't remember the year she was born.) Does she see the farmer and think of their grandfather? Does she try to remember if he was like this too, strange and wild and given the gifts of the forest?
And does their grandfather haunt the valley? He haunts the farm, still there even after his death; his body died somewhere else, but his spirit could never stay away for long. Does Abigail, using her ouija board on a stormy night, almost drop the planchette when she realizes it's moving on its own? Does Shane, walking to work long before anyone else leaves their house, catch glimpses of a wispy figure floating through the town? Does the farmer know their grandfather came back to the place they both love so much?
Mr. Qi takes interest in the farmer. He's different, too; in a different way, maybe, but the principles are the same. They're both exceptional, and no matter what Qi says about it being hard work and dedication, they both know the truth: the world bends around the both of them, changing to fit their needs. Most people aren't visited by fairies or witches. Most people don't have meteorites crash in their yard. Most people couldn't chop down trees all day without a break or speak to bears and mice and frogs.
The farmer is different. The rules of the world don't work for them the way they work for everyone else. The farmer goes fishing and finds the stuff of fairy tales. The farmer goes mining and fights shadow beasts and flying snakes. The farmer looks at paths the townspeople walk every day and finds buried in the dirt relics of lost civilizations.
The farmer is a violent, irrepressible miracle, chosen by the valley and destined to return to it someday. Even if they'd never received the letter, they would've come home.
They always come home eventually.
#lich says shit#stardew valley#sorry for the stardew valley meta i'm just so obsessed with how FREAKY the farmer is. Like it's so fun#gonna write another long ass post about the farmer's bloodline specifically and. like.#why did their grandpa leave the valley?? why did their parents never go back??#stardew valley farmer#sdv

︶⊹︶︶୨୧︶︶⊹︶
Things had been tense for a while between you and Shane. You could feel it, he’d started acting cold again from time to time, like back when you first met him, not the sweet guy that you had known for a couple of months there when everything seemed fine. You supposed it was just the end of the honeymoon phase, or maybe he was just in some sort of autumn funk, but you assumed it would blow over, he’d had bad days before, but this was just an extended one. Surely. But no.
He’d been cheating on you. When you’d found the conversations on what he’d always told you was a ‘gridball discussion board’ online, you were floored. He’d begged and pleaded with you to forgive him, that he wouldn’t do it again, that he hadn’t even met them in person, but that made it all the worse. He threw away what he had with you, months of effort to get him to trust you, you ignoring everyone who said you were significantly out of his league, giving him kindness and understanding at every turn, for someone he hadn’t even met in person. He continued to plead with you to stay, that it was a mistake and you were better than anyone else, but you were too proud. You gathered what few things you had in his room and stomped out never to return. It hurt, badly, you had put so much time and effort into your relationship with him, an effort everyone told you that you’d been wasting. It seemed in the end, they’d been right all along.
Shane continued sending letters and trying to corner you in town, telling you how much he regretted what he did and how badly he needed you back. Deep down, you knew he only wanted you to come care for him again. You weren’t sure if he’d ever really loved you or if he’d merely used you. How can you cheat on someone you love? Every time he said he still loved you, the words felt more poisonous. He finally begins to leave you alone again after a while, pouting and glaring at you whenever you are nearby, trying his best to look pitiful so you might come crawling back. You couldn’t believe that this was the man you’d thought you’d loved.
A benefit of the end of your relationship was that you were spending more time with friends again, namely, male friends. Shane had always been deeply jealous and insecure, indirectly making you cut off all your male friends, always paranoid that you might choose them over him. What was the expression? Every accusation is a confession? Sam and Sebastian welcomed you back with open arms, not asking many questions, glad you were joining them for pool again. They could tell you were sad, especially the first few weeks, but opted to try to cheer you up rather than ask you about it. It was clear that it was over between you and Shane, and Sebastian couldn’t be more happy.
He’d been planning to make a move on you back in spring, but your relationship had started with Shane and he was out in the cold, even as your friend. He understood though, he knew Shane was deeply jealous, so accepted your apologies and promises never to let someone come between the two of you again. He pays you special attention, letting you win at pool to cheer you up and buying you your favourite drinks, anything to wipe that sad look off your face. He’s occasionally intervened and demanded Shane to leave you alone, which only angers the man further, but he does stand down.
It’s one of those nights where he’s paying you special attention, he’d told Shane to ‘fuck off’ from glaring at you across the Saloon a few hours ago and was staying late with you to talk. He’d missed you a lot while you’d been hiding away from the world with Shane, you seemed so much lighter these days, you almost had a glow about you. He had his arm slung around your shoulder, a risky move which had paid off, listening to you talk on a tucked away couch, just the two of you. You were a little tipsy, not enough to be worrisome, but enough to have you rambling. You’d never really talked about what happened with Shane, but everyone knew it must have been something bad, based on how the two of you were acting. The leading theory in town was an argument about his drinking that couldn’t be solved, perhaps he had broken something while drunk. When you reveal to him that he’d been cheating, Sebastian’s jaw hangs open for a moment. Your cheeks flush and glance around nervously in his silence.
“He what?” Sebastian hisses.
“They hadn’t even met in person it was just… chats–” you ramble, trying to play it down so Sebastian would stop looking at you like that.
“Still! I can’t believe his audacity! To cheat on you… he was insanely lucky you ever even gave him a second glance,” Sebastian scoffs. He’d always felt this way, but knowing what Shane had willingly thrown away, he feels wildly incensed, anger growing inside him. “No one deserves that but especially not you! You’re stunning and he’s… well, him,” he rolls his eyes, if he was a more violent man, he would go knock some sense into Shane with his fists, but he knew you would never approve of that, you were really too sweet for your own good. You blush and look down, shrugging.
“I don’t know about stunning…”
“You are,” he asserts, glancing over your lightly flushed cheeks and shy expression. “He’s a complete idiot for giving you up, seriously,”
“Well, at least he’s disappointing them in bed now, not me,” you giggle, quickly covering your mouth when you realise what you’ve said aloud, eyes widening. The wine you’d had really loosening your lips, letting things out you’d kept to yourself for too long, itching to gossip. Sebastian’s eyes also widen before letting out a bark of laughter, a smirk settling on his face.
“Damn, cold,” he teases, gently poking your arm to get you to lower your hand. He cups your chin between his fingers and tips your head up to look at him, relishing in the deepening of your blush. “He couldn’t please you?” You bite your lip and shyly shake your head.
“He didn’t try that hard… to be fair,” you try to defend, but you hear yourself and know it sounds weak, it’s hardly a defence, just a further indictment of him. Sebastian’s fingers tighten on your chin, anger coursing through him again. You had been an angel sent from heaven into his life and he hadn’t even tried to please you.
“He’s a piece of shit, to be fair, a total scumbag, you deserve everything,” Sebastian declares, his jaw tight. “He should have been giving you like… 5 orgasms a night, kissing the ground you walked on,” he huffs. You giggle at his hyperbole, though your blush deepens, not used to openly discussing stuff like this, especially not with Sebastian’s thumb rubbing your jaw so gently, his face hovering close to yours. You taste the words before he says them. “That’s what I would do if I had you… you would always be satisfied, always,” he purrs, another risky move but he’s willing to make it. You take a shaky breath and slip your eyes closed, your mind filled suddenly with images of Sebastian pleasing you. “I would never be stupid enough to let you go or hurt you, I’d treat you like you deserve,”
Your lips crash to his without thinking, and his hands instantly fall to your waist, tugging you closer. He hums in excitement, he’d been waiting for this for so long and here it was. You taste delicious, with a hint of the wine from earlier that evening and a sweetness that was entirely your own. He tilts his head to press closer to you, tugging you closer until your legs settle across his lap, one hand caressing your hip, the other moving up to your hair. Your arms snake around his neck, pulling the two of you chest to chest in desperation. You had never felt this way with Shane, pure electricity coursing through your veins, your tongues meeting in a sensual dance, swirling and caressing.
“Let me please you,” he murmurs between kisses, hand sneaking onto your back beneath your shirt. “Let me show you what it can be like, let me give you what you deserve,” with a breathless nod, he’s lifting you to your feet and the two of you are leaving the Saloon hand in hand.
The way back to your farm is full of your tipsy giggling, his hands softly brushing up and down your body and frequent stops to kiss. You can’t seem to keep your hands off of each other as you press each other up against trees and fences to have another taste. When you finally arrive at your farm, you stumble through the door, lips still connected, hands fisted in the fabric of his hoodie. Every cell in your body is on fire, you haven’t felt this amount of lust in a while, and all the sinful promises Sebastian had whispered against your mouth on your way here only made the anticipation grow. You pull him into the bedroom, stealing kisses as you go, which he returns with a smile. The eagerness surprises him in the best way, you seem totally obsessed with the idea of finding out what he can do for you, and he’s more than happy to show you. He pushes you down onto the bed, caging you in between his arms, hovering above you, moving his kisses down your jaw. The gasp that leaves your lips and that look in your eyes has his cock straining against his jeans.
“So sexy, babe,” he growls, nipping your collarbone and placing a questioning hand on your stomach, just beneath your shirt. “Can I?” you nod, writhing beneath him. Your shirt is quickly shed and Sebastian looks over your chest with a clear look of arousal. “You’re so perfect, I’m gonna make you feel so good,” he kisses and nips all over your chest, playfully making his way down your stomach to hear your breath hitch. He won’t use his mouth now, he feels too desperate to be inside of you, but he’s sure he’ll be using his mouth a lot in the future if he has his way, which it seems like he will. You’re completely willing beneath him, so aroused, pupils blown wide, body flushed and chest heaving lightly. “Want me?” he asks teasingly, toying with the button of your jeans. You nod helplessly. “Where?” he prompts, feeling a little drunk on the power he has over you right now. You huff softly.
“Inside… please, Sebastian, don’t tease right now,” you pout and he chuckles, finding your expression delicious, he leans up and pecks your pouty lips with a smile.
“Sorry babe, I want to be inside you too,” he cups your cheek, kissing you deeper for a moment, which you enthusiastically reciprocate. “I’m gonna make you feel so good,” he promises deeply, popping open your jeans as he nips your bottom lip, helping you wiggle out of them, discarding them by your bed. There’s a quiet metallic thud and you both disconnect to look down at the source of the noise. “Oh shit, sorry,” he mumbles, realising your phone had been in your pocket, hurriedly reaching down to lift it and place it on the bedside table before returning to your lips.
“Guess you were too eager,” you tease playfully and he agrees with a hum, sucking your bottom lip into his mouth, his fingers tracing the edges of your underwear. He is happy to pull back and lift his arms when you start to tug at his hoodie and then the t-shirt underneath, smug when you look over his torso admiringly, eyes dark with lust.
“Like what you see?” he teases, unbuttoning his jeans, imagining himself soon between your legs.
“Yeah,” you sigh softly. “I do…” Not bothered to feel insecure, Sebastian strips his boxers with his jeans, eyes lighting up when your mouth falls open at the sight of him. “Wow…” He knows he’s well-endowed, but is flattered by your reaction, being even more sure now that he can show you a very good time. You lift your hips as he tugs down your underwear, eyes glued on his rock-hard twitching length. You’re incredibly flattered by how aroused he seems as he looks you over.
“So stunning, can’t wait to bury my cock in you,” he purrs, massaging your inner thighs. From the corner of his eye, he notices your phone lighting up but tries his best to ignore it. There were more important things on his mind. He smirks as your body reacts to his words.
“Please,” you breathe. “I need it,”
He doesn’t need asking twice, settling between your legs, carefully positioning himself and making sure you’re ready for him, but as you whine pleadingly, it’s harder to be cautious. Slowly, he begins to press into you, relishing the warmth of you around his cock, squeezing softly. You both throw your heads back in sync, letting out pleased sounds. You feel like the perfect fit, taking him in so perfectly like you were made for him. He glances down to make sure you’re okay, your chest heaving and little whimpers leaving your throat.
“Are you okay babe?” he asks breathlessly, eyes darting to your phone for a moment as it lights up again. You nod and mewl, wrapping your legs around his hips to get him to move. He chokes out a groan as he finally bottoms out, twitching within you. He knew you’d be amazing, but he couldn’t anticipate this. How did you feel so good? It seemed almost inconceivable. How could anyone give this up? He braces himself, his hands on either side of your head, pecking your lips before beginning to slowly rock in and out of you. Your hands fly up to clutch his back, and he groans at the feeling, drinking in the moans you let out against his lips. “Does that feel good? Yeah?” he husks, speeding up a little as your reactions egg him on.
“Y-yeah… oh!” you whimper, your mouth falling open as he speeds up, letting out a constant string of moans. He can hear in your voice just how good you feel and the thought arouses him impossibly more, you’re so enchanting, you drive him crazy. He raises himself a little more so he can look down at you as he thrusts in and out, watching your eyes roll back in pleasure. He grips your hips, lifting you so he can sit up and continue thrusting. The new angle makes you gasp, his name falling as a whine from your lips, which he affectionately returns, smoothing his hands over your body as he ravishes you. He can see your phone continuously lighting up on the nightstand and it’s driving him crazy. He halts for just a moment, met by a whimper of protest from you, to reach over, intending merely to turn over the phone but then noticing who is messaging you.
About ten messages from ‘Shane DON’T ANSWER’ flood onto your screen, including a missed call. Sebastian growls in anger. He remembers you mentioning how he wouldn’t leave you alone no matter how many times you’d asked and how you were considering just blocking his number at this point. You plead softly with Sebastian to continue, craning your head from your lying position to try and understand why he’d stopped moving. Several of the messages mention Sebastian himself, saying how someone had seen the two of you leaving the Saloon together, followed by several insecure accusations. Sebastian can’t help but scoff a laugh at his insolence, picking up your phone and opening it. You raise your brows under him.
“What are you doing?” you ask quietly, watching as he taps through your phone, shifting your hips to try and get that delicious friction back. Sebastian bites his lip and his eyelids flutter, you feel like heaven, and he hates himself for stopping, for depriving the both of you, but he has an idea. He opens your messages, seeing days of Shane talking to himself in your messages, switching between begging and anger. That man was so pathetic, he couldn’t understand what you’d ever seen in him.
“Don’t worry, just lie there for me, babe,” he smirks, opening the camera attached to the messaging app and scrolling to the video function. You’re shifting your hips in search of pleasure again, and it looks so sexy through the camera, watching himself disappear inside of you. He groans loudly, clicking the record button on the screen. The flash comes on in the dim light, alerting you to what’s going on, and your brows fly up. He shushes you by placing a finger to his lips, beginning to thrust into you once more. All your protests die on impact, melting into a choked moan. Sebastian watches, enraptured as he slides in and out of you through the camera, grunting and speeding up, struggling to keep the camera steady when all he wants to do is completely lose himself in you once more. He can hear the steady slap of skin on skin and a mixture of both of your moans. The thought of sending this to Shane, claiming you away from him finally, makes him feel feral, and he thrusts into you even faster and harder than before. He tilts the camera up to show your face, and though obscured by your arm thrown over your eyes, it’s clear who it is. You whine over and over, your lips parted in pleasure. “Yeah? Fuck… tell me how good it feels,” he grunts.
“So good Seb…” you whine lewdly, stretching out the words, shaky with every thrust he gives you. The fact you’ve said his name sends a powerful jolt through his body and he pounds into you harder, making you shout out in ecstasy. He was showing you pleasure you’d never felt before, you’d been a little sceptical at the start of the evening, but now you knew you were never going back, he was hitting some spot within you that had you seeing stars, a spot you hadn’t even known you had, touching it again and again, leaving you in heaven. The fact he was filming you… excited you more than it should have, you couldn’t help imagining what it might look like.
“That’s it, babe, cum for me, yeah… show how much you love it, fuck… you look so sexy,” he husks, pounding into you relentlessly, no longer focused on the camera, staring down at you hungrily. It’ll be clear what’s happening anyway. His free hand is all over you, squeezing and caressing as he continues thrusting with all his might, feeling you tightening around him, your moans increasing in volume. “Yes… that’s it,”
“Seb!” you wail, your legs shaking violently around his hips, pleasure exploding behind your eyes, more intense than you had felt, possibly ever. The knowledge you’re being filmed only heightens the experience tenfold, tingles running up and down your body, a warm syrupy feeling settling in your lower stomach. He whispers soothing praises as you spasm around his cock, making him choke on his words occasionally, still softly thrusting into you. You gasp for breath, still moaning with each aftershock that courses through you. In this calmer moment, Sebastian fumbles with your phone, shakily typing out a caption for the vulgar clip he just captured.
“Don’t text again, we’re busy,” he types, though a little inaccurately in his aroused haze. The message is still clear. He presses send, makes sure it’s gone to Shane and then tosses your phone aside, noticing it already beginning to blow up with messages from him. Your cheeks are burning as you look up at the cocky smile on Sebastian’s face.
“I can’t believe I just let you do that,” you giggle breathlessly as he strokes your cheek with his thumb, still giving you a moment to compose yourself, though remaining inside of you. “I’ll probably regret it in the morning,”
“Nah, babe, you looked so hot, it’s his fault for giving you up,” Sebastian assures, leaning down to peck your lips. You smile and kiss back.
“I felt hot, but still… it’s not exactly something I’m used to,”
“Me neither, but it was sexy as hell, maybe we should do it more often,” he smiles, tucking a few kisses under your jaw.
“Oh? You think we’ll do this again?” you tease. He grins against your skin, moving back up to hover over you, beginning to ever-so-slowly thrust into you once more, making you gasp. He growls playfully.
“Oh yes… you deserve so much more pleasure, babe, and I intend to give it to you,”

Stardew Valley Bachelors Cuddling Headcanons
thinkin' about cuddly bachelors to Cope
Harvey
Harvey is one of those people who only lay in bed when he is ready to go to sleep, so cuddling is usually a pre-sleep activity, an added treat at the end of his long day
I think he likes being both the little and big spoon, but prefers being held just a liiiitle bit more
He likes to lay with you after a shower, a shave and his teeth are brushed, because once he lays down with you.... only the shrill sound of his alarm going off in the morning will be enough to get him back up
Harvey is one of those people who hate a rushed routine and take punctuality very seriously
But because waking up in your arms just feels too darn good sometimes, he sets an alarm a little earlier than his usual one, just so he can be awake enough to enjoy the first minutes of the morning being held by you
Shane
I believe Shane likes to be horizontal more than he likes to be vertical on a good day, anyway
But after you? Oh boy
There is no feeling like coming home and being able to sink into the mattress, his body heavy with the weight of the day
And now on top of that he then gets to have the person he loves laying on his chest? Tracing his skin with your fingers absentmindedly? Massaging his scalp with the pads on your fingers?
It’s his favorite thing in the world, actually
He'll cling on to you especially tight after a rough day, only reluctantly letting you go if you absolutely must
Sam
Although Sam loves it when it’s just you and him and his bed in your own little world, this man cannot sit still for too long
If you’re just laying together and talking, he needs to be playing with your fingers, with your hair, playfully biting your arm, a tickle attack or two
He also likes to lay on you. Like, fully - body completely on top of yours as he scrolls on his phone or rambles about something while you run your hands through his blond hair
Maybe he has too much energy, or maybe it's the ADHD I headcanon him to have, or maybe he's just really excited to finally get some alone time with you
… Sam just wants to be all over you, all at once
Unless he’s super exhausted or it’s before going to sleep, cuddling with Sam is not usually a bonding relaxing experience, but rather bonding over a playful one
Sebastian
Because of how he is and how he prefers to show and receive affection, Sebastian has always been kind of touch-starved, tbh
Especially in the beginning of the relationship
I think it’s no secret that he isn’t a very touchy person in general, but...
Sebastian liked cuddling a lot more than he was willing to admit or ask for at first
But back when you two first started dating, you would waste days away in his bed, talking about nothing and everything for hours, sleeping together, playing together, getting high, having sex, repeat
Just… you and him and him and you in your own world, limbs comfortably tangled with each other
Especially during the winter when you didn’t have as much farm work, you two would only pull away from each other for bare necessities
After you’re married and he’s moved in, he likes that the bed is bigger and sometimes you two can lay together and do your own thing in your own space
But in the end he’ll always gravitate back towards you
Elliot
Cuddling with Elliot is peaceful
His voice takes on another melody when it’s just you and him in the comfort of his bed
The lights are dim but bright enough so that he can softly read you to sleep
He plays with your hair, his touches soft and gentle along the exposed skin of your arms
And he smells so good, and it's all around you as you lay in the comfort of his arms
Elliot likes it when you’re draped on him and he gets to wrap his arms around you and envelop you fully
Any position that allows him to be so close to you is his favorite
It’s…. safe. And Elliot likes safe
Alex
I firmly believe Alex prefers being the little spoon the majority of the time
Sometimes muscly jocks just want to be held, you know?
He likes to feel your body pressed against his from behind, and he’ll pull on your arms, tightening them around him, as if he’s letting you know how much he doesn’t want you to let go quite yet
He'll kiss the top of your hair, then bury his face on your neck and place kisses there too, sometimes innocent, sometimes not
Although not as bad as Sam, Alex doesn’t like to sit still for too long, either, so cuddling sessions are either before bed or a brief but welcome break during the day

I am not sure if there is a limited number of characters. If so, just do the bachelors. If not, do both bachelors and bachelorettes.
If you do reactions/headcanons, a reaction to finding out how strong the farmer is would be amazing. I love the idea of the farmer from Stardew Valley being inhumane strong, but most of the towns people doesn't know it.
I will do my best! Also, you're dating in these just FYI. Heart event spoilers!!
Alex
You were hanging out with Alex outside of his house as you tended to
You had finished all your chores for the day already
"Want to take Dusty for a walk?" Alex offered since you two really weren't doing much else
You nodded, and Alex got Dusty's collar and leash from inside
When he came back out, you had already coaxed Dusty to the edge of the fenced-in area.
"Don't worry about getting him out, I got it." Alex stated but you were already leaning down
You supported Dusty as you picked him up and set him down outside of the fenced-in area
It didn't take much effort
Alex stared in amazement, collar and leash grasped in hand
"What?" You asked as you pet Dusty
"You're, like, super strong!"
You couldn't help but laugh at his reaction
Sam
Sam had decided to come visit you while you were working on your farm
You still had some chores to finish up
Sam watched curiously as you did your chores
Feeding the animals, milking the cows, collecting eggs, etc.
A bale of hay sat in the corner of your barn
You decided to move it and hoisted it onto your shoulder, balancing it and carrying it somewhere new
It was just taking up space in the barn anyways
You didn't notice Sam who was watching intently
He didn't know how much the bale weighed but he could tell it wasn't something to scoff at
"Woah." He murmured to himself
Shane
You, Shane, and Jas were hanging out as you tended to do
It was a warm sunny day and you had finished most of the work on your farm
Jas had mostly been playing while you and Shane conversed
Jas had seemingly become bored and wanted some attention
You would have never assumed she liked attention as much as she did before you got to know her
She did seem like the quiet type
"Hold me!" She playfully demanded
And who were you to deny her?
"She's kind of-" Shane started
You picked her up with ease, hoisting her to your shoulders and balancing her
"-heavy..." Shane trailed off
He couldn't believe how easily you picked Jas up, much less tossed her around playfully
Even he struggled sometimes
You giggled at his reaction, and Jas giggled from the attention
"She seems pretty light to me." You teased, which caused Shane to blush
Harvey
You were hanging out with Harvey in the clinic while he finished up some work
He looked over at a piece of equipment and sighed
"What's wrong?" You questioned
"I just need to move that machine over a ways."
"I got it!" You volunteered, hopping up from the chair and going to the machine
"No, it's okay-"
"Don't worry about it Harvey, I'll be careful."
You knew he was worried about your well-being as per usual
He sat back down in his chair
"Just tell me where you want it."
You moved the equipment with ease, putting it where instructed
Harvey had a blush on his face, seemingly enarmoured by your strength
"What?" You questioned
"Just glad to see you're in good physical health." He waved his hand a bit
You internally giggled
Elliot
Elliot had decided to rearrange his furniture while you were over one day
He was struggling to push his piano over to the new spot
"Let me try!" You offered cheerfully
He seemed hesitant but nodded and stepped aside
You took your position and moved the piano to the new spot easily
It seemed effortless to Elliot
He was speechless
You saw the expression on his face and quirked your eyebrow
"What's wrong?"
"Oh, nothing. Just didn't think you'd be able to move that so easily. That was quite impressive!"
You smiled, blushing slightly from the praise before waving your hand
"It was nothing."
Sebastian
You were hanging out with Sebastian at his house when Robin called for you
"I'm sorry to bother you, but can you help me move some of this wood?" Robin asked
You nodded happily and Sebastian followed you two, knowing he could help if needed
Not that he was particularly strong but he assumed it would be better than nothing
You easily lifted the wood (which was heavier than it looked) and moved it to the small pile that had been started
When you were done Robin offered to compensate you for your work but you told her it was okay
Sebastian was speechless
He knew you were strong, but you were stronger than he thought
"You're stronger than I thought you were." He complimented
You blushed and smiled
"Guess it's from working on the farm."

Bachelors distracting you!
Stardew Valley Bachelors x reader
You need to get work done but they want your attention, and one way or another, they will get it :3
Not proofread, and not very cohesive between characters. Tried to keep it Canon. May or may not have succeeded.
Sam
"No, babe, a new season just started I have to get going on my crops!"
• Would definitely pout and try and hold your hand to prevent you from leaving the house
• As you got out your money and some leftover seeds from last year, he would (not so sneakily) get out his guitar
• He would then start playing a brand new song for you
• Like. Has been saving it for something, and it wasn't quite done, but he just had to get you to stay!
• Then when you tried asking him about it, he would say "no, I'm sorry, I have to work on this song more!"
• Basically mocking you from earlier saying you had to work haha
• This would successfully get you for like an hour, it makes him happy.
Alex
You were bustling around town, and he wanted you to talk to him, even if just for a bit!
• As soon as he saw you enter town he started lifting weights.
• And the more he saw you enter and leave buildings he started using heavier ones, trying to get you to think he is soooooo impressive.
• Eventually when you come to his house BUT DONT TALK TO HIM (how dare you/j) he does that jock boy thing where he wipes his sweat with his shirt
• A cocky bastard (affectionate) who just wants to see you flustered and pause for a second to admire him.
• Yeah. That definitely distracts you as you leave.
(God he is such a dude bro (affectionate-))
Sebastian
You were busy doing work around the farm, and he wanted attention but didn't want to outwardly bother your day.
• Ngl he would either work on his motorcycle purely because he knows you think it's hot, or he would play his synthesizer.
• Depends on how confident he is feeling that day, but he knows both of those need to be done eventually anyways!
• He rarely practices his synth, and knows it fascinates you.
• It's just so cool he knows how to play it!!
• If he works on his motorcycle, you just watch because you are trying to figure out what he is doing
• You want to be able to actually know what he is talking about when he tells you about it later!
• Either way, he knows he grabbed your attention for a little bit, and that's enough for him
• Definitely would not be up in your face about it tho, he is very low key about like. Everything-
Harvey
• Wouldn't try to distract you from your farming or anything
• Knows how important your job is
• Would however distract you from menial activities like reading or watching TV if you haven't given him enough attention that day
• Would start cooking
• Like something he knows you really like, but also smells so it would get your attention
• Also plays music. Like some early 2000s girly pop music. He loves that stuff but doesn't play it often because he thinks it's embarrassing he likes it (it isn't I love that shit)
• But yeah that grabs your attention from whatever you were doing
Shane
• Starts bringing the chickens outside of the coup!
• Knows you think they are cute
• And he knows you think he is cute when he is taking care of the animals
• Plus it's also practical for him to do animal stuff so you can farm
• But yeah he doesn't really want a lot of attention, just wants to see you smile for a bit!
Elliott
He just wanted to see your face stick around for a little longer! Didn't want you to go, even when he knew you had work to do.
• Would play his piano!
• Works like a charm because he always has something new
• You wonder when he has the time to practice new pieces all the time
• You sit next to him for a bit, leaning on his shoulder
• After he finishes the song, he let's you go back to whatever you were doing.
• He got in enough time with you for now, but he would make sure to get all of your attention later
An* I had like no ideas for Harvey and Shane. Sorry if they are kinda clunky- This was mostly inspired by my ideas for Sam and Alex, but this was fun to write!! Also, these lowkey make no sense, and they weren't proofread, so just take the concepts loosely and run with it! :)
Rasmodius, aka The Wizard (by request)
I imagine that this would be when you stopped by to visit him but had to leave to go work. Like y'all weren't living together.
• Would use magic!
• A silent spell that makes little illusions around the room.
• He is a little shy, so like Sebastian or Harvey, he wouldn't outright say anything.
• But he makes everything so pretty you can't help but stare for a while.
• The lights danced near the ceiling, a mirage of all your favorite colors
• He gets your attention for a while, and it keeps him content until he sees you again :3

hello! I saw you do writing for Stardew Valley! So excited bout that :>
Would you be able to do some fluff and/or smut about Shane please? He’s my comfort character, love him sm sm <3
HI ANONN im so sorry my inbox wasn't loading old ones, pls blame my laptop from 2013 lol.. anyways heres ur headcannons!
cw and notes: i dont know shane well but i really liked this lol
shane who at first grunts when you coddle or care for him. he turns away, mumbling about you "doing too much" or you being "dramatic". in reality, he's only hiding how flustered you get him. he has to bite the inside of his cheek when you walk by, when you hold his hand, when you speak to him, he probably knows your scent and gets giddy when he knows you're seconds away from bombarding him with all your love!
shane who sometimes gets pressured by willy to drink with him, both of them coming home around the same time, running into each other in the evening as he's going to your farm and willy's going to the bar.
"ain't drinkin' no more, son? c'mon! don't be fuckin pussy, grab a bear!"
"i'm good. got someone to go home to".
no matter how many comments he gets about drinking, he know he comes home to a better taste than any alcohol. you.
shane who claims he's not much of a romantic nor is he sentimental, but one day when you visit him, you realize that he was out for errands and only little jasmine was home. she greets you with a hug, jumping in excitement as she drags you somewhere, babbling on about how she had to show you something.
she goes in their old storage room, digging in a box until she pulls out a small cardboard container. urging you to open it, your jaw drops as it was filled with letters piled upon letters, all addressed to you.
some had even dated back to the month you two had met. none had never been mailed out and opening them revealed that most of them were never even finished.
"i'm a fucking coward. i know i am. i drink all damn day, come home, crash on the floor, dream about you. jas asks about you too. thinks you're a pretty one. can't disagree with her but you deserve better. maybe i'll do something heroic in this life so in the next one, i can deserve you"
you kept all of them, never telling shane, but when he came home with a smile and a box of ingredient to make your favorite food, you decide that yes, he's done more than enough to deserve this life.

Headcanons about the svd and sve Bachelor(ette)s discovering the farmer will always sleep until the next day 6am on the dot no matter what?
Bc finding out your spouse will is both capable of sleeping from 1am to 6am and 7am to next day 6am and passing out in the mountains to 6am must be real fun to find out.
If that hasn't been done yet please and maybe thank you <3
Agree, a situation where your spouse can't be woken up before 6am is pretty funny and a good source for a funny headcanon (or even angst). Which, by the way, while writing it gave me another funny thought (maybe I'll write it in the future) - what if we switch roles? Because all bachelors/ettes go to bed at exactly 10 p.m., and you can't get them up again until the next day...
"Hey, Elliott, do you want to watch a movie or do something... more interesting?~"
"Of course, my love, we can-"
*10:00 p.m.*
"Zzzzzzz...."
"....Seriously, Elliott? Elliott?"
Oh well, I got distracted.... 😅 Anyway, thanj you so much for the ask, dear anon! ❤️
_________________________________________
Stardew Valley:
Harvey:
Harvey is already often at the doctor's mode every time he catches his spouse with serious wounds after their adventures, and now there's a new cause for concern. In addition to the fact that Farmer will not wake up before 6 a.m. under any circumstances (which is already a cause for concern, because what if they are somewhere far away, in forest for example?), the fact that because of this peculiarity Harvey's spouse will suffer from either sleep deprivation or oversleeping. And in both cases it has a negative impact on health. That's why the doctor will remind Farmer to go to bed on time and not to overload themself with farm work.
Shane:
Shane didn't pay attention to Farmer's habit at first, because either Shane couldn't get up that early (okay from 7 a.m., but 6 a.m.? Nah...) or he left Farmer to sleep further if he got up earlier than them, because they worked hard and they needed rest, and he went to make breakfast/feed the chickens. Although the moment when his spouse lay down on the couch to take a nap at noon and woke up with 6am the next day already, Shane freaked out, because holy shit he already thought they were sick or worse. Does this have some kind of bad effect on Farmer's health? No? If it's ok, Shane will get used to not being able to wake his spouse up before 6 in the morning pretty quickly.
Elliott:
Farmer got up from the bed and headed toward the kitchen, waiting for their husband Elliott by the coffee machine. But the kitchen was empty, which was odd, since Elliott didn't usually start the morning without cappuccino. Just when they were about to assume where the writer was going, their ginger spouse kicked the door and ran into the house... with Harvey and Maru? "This way, doctor, hurry! Farmer's not feeling well, they won't wake up and they need help right away- Oh..." False alarm... But honestly, Harvey will confirm Elliott's concern: it's really weird that Farmer is in no way awake to all of Elliott's futile attempts. The writer and Farmer will listen to a couple of doctor's advice and get a prescription for some medication. Elliott will make sure his dear spouse goes to bed early so they don't get sleep deprivation and its attendant problems.
Sam:
"Babe. Babe. Baaaaaaabe. Are you awake? Hon. Babe-" Sam had been shaking Farmer for probably ten minutes, but to the musician's surprise, his spouse was sleeping the dead sleep. Which made him a little worried, because.... They don't wake up at all, and- Oh! Farmer mumbled something in their sleep, so at least they're okay. "Babe. Wake up, please. Babe. Baaaaabe-" Though such a deep sleep was still stressing Sammy out a little bit. After half an hour, Farmer stopped making any sounds at all, but as soon as the six a.m. alarm clock went off, Farmer abruptly opened his eyes. "Good morning, Sammy~" "I thought you were dead." "Wha...?" Well, Farmer would agree with their spouse - If the roles were reversed, they'd be worried too.
Alex:
Tired, Farmer wrapped themself in a blanket on the couch and fell asleep at 4:00 p.m. Alex, who found them in such a position, left the kiss and went to prepare dinner for two. The food was ready, and the athlete went to wake up his spouse. Woke him up for about ten minutes, no effect. From that he started calling Harvey in a panic, and when Farmer was taken away, he was sitting not far from the emergency room where Farmer was lying. He refused to go home, and while the doctor spent the whole night trying to wake Farmer up and wanted to call Zuzu hospital, Farmer got up at six in the morning sharp. Yoba, Alex cried and hugged the confused Farmer, who did not understand why the spouse was sobbing, why Harvey was lying unconscious and how they ended up in the clinic.
Sebastian:
Though outwardly Sebastian was calm, his heart was beating quite fast from worry. He was a bit nervous, for he had never before encountered a heavy sleeper like Farmer. Sebby could easily be wakened by a rustle, but his love did not care at all about external sounds, even if a meteorite fell, they would not wake up. But at least they breathe and sniffle, that's good. He looked at his spouse for a long time, until he had fallen asleep himself, and now Farmer was looking at his slightly asleep husband. "Did you not sleep well, Sebby?" "....You could say that." He would ask Farmer to consult a doctor about it, because it... wasn't exactly normal.
Penny:
Penny's first encounter with such a peculiarity of her spouse did not go very smoothly, to say the least, as she stood crying by the bedside, vainly waking up Farmer and thinking that they had died or fallen into a coma. Imagine Farmer's face who woke up at exactly six in the morning from a sweet dream, and instead of their wife's warm smile and the smell of fresh coffee saw a sobbing Penny with the phone in her hands, calling Harvey for help. The conversation will be awkward, and Penny will rightly be angry, because she should be warned about this, but quickly adjusts to such a strange Farmer's habit. Though she'll still periodically check to see if they're breathing, just to reassure that everything's okay.
Abigail:
Abigail used to think that her Farmer was just a very deep sleeper, as she usually didn't take long attempts to wake up her spouse, leaving them to dream further, and went to do her own thing without Farmer's help. But the violet-haired girl began to notice this sort of thing more often. On one such night, she decided to test her little theory - Abby lightly shaked them, tickled them, tried to call to them (loudly), even put ice on their hand/leg/stomach - to no avail, they lay still like log, and only sniffled quietly. "You really are a deep sleeper until 6:00 a.m., like wow!" Abby shared her thoughts the next morning with Farmer, and she sounded more like admiration than concern.
Maru:
When the rooster crowed at exactly six in the morning, Farmer stretched sweetly and turned around to where Maru should be lying. Only instead of a sleeping wife or an empty seat (when she gets up early and makes breakfast), Maru was looking directly at her spouse, with notepad and pen in hand. "Hey darling, did you sleep well?" "Did you sleep well?" Judging by the heavy sigh and bags across Maru's eyes, apparently not. The young inventor noticed this strange pattern and decided to test her theory. They do indeed always get up at 6am, no matter what time they went to bed. It's very interesting! ...Although she admits that it was kinda strange to watch Farmer like that, and plus she was getting sleep deprived.
Haley:
Well, Haley hadn't noticed it at first, for at least she'd adapted to farm life, but getting up at six in the morning, seriously? People are still in bed at that time. But later, she caught this unusual phenomenon when Farmer lay down to rest for a couple hours at noon, but slept through all the plans they and their beloved wife wanted to make for the evening. Haley herself sleeps about 10 hours a night, but 18? And her spouse was impossible to wake up with anything. Nothing works, at all. The next morning she'll be a little passive-aggressive that the promised date got derailed, but she'll also be concerned because somehow this is kinda weird. Maybe they should see a doctor.
Emily:
"Thank Yoba! I was already afraid you wouldn't wake up!" The first words Farmer heard after waking up caused them to rise abruptly and look around their surroundings. Hmm, strange, they're not in a clinic, nor are they on the first level of the Mines. They're fine, and only a sad and worried Emily was standing around. "I heard some sort of scratching outside the front door and I wanted you to check, but there was no way to wake you up, and I was starting to get scared-" Oops... Farmer forgot to mention that they don't get up until after 6am, and there's no way to wake them up. Yeah, it's a weird peculiarity, but that's the way it is. At least with Farmer it's okay, so Emily relaxed a bit. But Farmer themself is worried: if they don't get up before 6 am, how to help their wife if someone, Yoba forbid, gets into the house...?
Leah:
In the first time this happened, Leah naturally freaked out when Farmer didn't wake up after a long sleep/consciousness in the Mines (just tired and collapsed from exhaustion, not wounds). And then it happened again. And again. And again, and again, and again. Until, annoyed by Farmer's disregard for their own health, the artist picked up a sculpted hammer and threatened it at the Farmer's face. "You know, I understand you have this thing with sleep, but that doesn't mean you need make it worse. Dear spouse, go to bed on time, or else..." Farmer did not want to know what would happened after "or else...", so they listened to their strict but caring wife and started to go to bed on time. And at home, not in Mines/Skull Cavern (...in most cases).
Stardew Valley Expanded:
Magnus Rasmodius:
Magnus would at first think that some kind of curse (from his ex-wife) had been cast on his spouse, or that his own spell, which he usually casts on Farmer for protection, had given strange side effects. But after checking, he found nothing life-threatening - Farmer is always up at six in the morning no matter what, and the effects of magic are nowhere to be found. Unusual, but Farmer themself are quite an unusual person, as is Rasmodius himself. There will, of course, be worries in case Magnus' beloved spouse inadvertently falls asleep or passes out in a dangerous place, but it's nothing that enchanted artifacts or spells can't solve.
Victor:
Perhaps Victor would not have been so frightened by the first encounter with such a peculiarity of his spouse, if it had not been for a series of previous events. Victor didn't know that Farmer didn't get up until 6:00 a.m. His spouse had returned from their adventure complaining that they had bumped their head a little when falling from a height. No serious wounds, and Farmer checked with the doctor, ok. Farmer was still complaining of a headache, and decided to take a half hour nap, ok. Victor wakes Farmer after two hours of sleep, for dinner. They don't wake up. The spaghetti lover's first thought is that the head injury turned out to be much more serious... Which is why Victor immediately sounds the alarm and calls Harvey. The next morning Farmer wakes up as if nothing had happened ("Wait, is that clinic?"), but Victor insists that more tests must be done. He's worried, alright?
Lance:
Hmm, pretty unusual, and... Lance is getting a little worried about this information. His spouse is telling him in direct text that if they fall asleep or pass out, they will not, under any circumstances, wake up before 6am the next morning. And if Farmer for some reason decides to spend the night in a tent near a place swarming with monsters or wild beasts, or collapses from exhaustion in the same forest or other, not too safe place... The pink-haired adventurer knows that his beloved Farmer can take care of themself, but will still either recommend going on adventures with him (or Marlon), or find a solution to this problem in magic (instant travel artifacts if Farmer starts to fall asleep/lose consciousness, or something like that).
Sophia:
Sophia's first assumption when she couldn't wake her spouse was that they had fallen into a coma, and in a fit of panic, she tearfully began calling Dr. Harvey, Maru, Gus - anyone who could help Farmer in any way. Those who arrived had already brought a stretcher to lay Farmer down and take them to the clinic, but as soon as it hit 6 a.m., they quietly opened their eyes.... and were stunned by the change of scenery. Why are they on a stretcher? Gus, Harvey? What's goin- Sophia, why are you crying? The pink-haired girl will insist on visiting Harvey to see if her spouse is okay. Yes, the habit is strange, but it doesn't affect Farmer's health, except that it is necessary to go to bed on time and preferably at home (at least in the Pelican Town where there are people). Sophia checks them before they go to bed anyway to make sure everything is okay. That incident scared her terribly.
Claire:
"Dear, don't you think this is a little strange? Do you always get up at this hour?" Claire asked the question casually, since although her spouse was fine and had no health complaints/sleep problems, such a strange coincidence couldn't help but go unnoticed by her. If Farmer replied that they woke up like this, at six a.m. sharp, precisely after they moved to Stardew Valley, Claire would be a little concerned. Maybe.... Farmer should watch their sleep schedule and lighten the adventures duties? She's just being caring and wants to make sure they're okay and it's not detrimental to their health.
Scarlett:
Scarlett noticed that Farmer got up at a certain time, although at first her theory was a bit wrong. She thought that her dearest spouse wakes up only after the rooster call only, which usually crowed closer to 6 am. So Scarlett decided to test her little theory by letting Copper (their rooster) into the bedroom at half past six in the morning. The proud bird immediately started his wake up song, but Farmer was deed asleep. But when the clock had already struck exactly six, they got out of bed. "Good morning, dear- Why is our rooster in the bedroom?" "Oh, we just testing a theory." Kinda strange, but if Farmer's health wasn't threatened by this, Scarlett would be relatively calm.
Olivia:
Olivia didn't just call a local doctor and his assistant - the former Joja accountant started calling all the professional doctors she knew from Zuzu city, worryingly describing the symptoms and the condition of her spouse who was still asleep. Farmer woke up yesterday, went to couch for an hour nap at 11am and still hasn't woken up! Olivia is in a panic, and while Harvey tries to sort out Farmer's condition, she runs back and forth with her phone. Waking up already in the room, Farmer will be in complete shock, to say the least, to see a whole bunch of doctors examining them. Olivia's spouse is fine, but they're both definitely not leaving the clinic until the doctors' verdict. And if Farmer had warned her about this 'peculiarity'...

A Break In Routine - Shane x Reader (Stardew Valley)
Another Shane SDV fic from my drafts with a couple strange gaps in it.
Warnings: mentions of recovering from alcoholism, being imperfect, guilt and self-loathing to a certain extent. Alcohol.
Word Count: 1.4k
Shane wasn't stupid. He knew you knew that. He noticed that, the closer you got, especially after that night on the cliff, you changed. Not so much in the way you dealt with him—you were kind and persevering as ever.
You stopped brewing. He had been out to the farm before, you had like ten kegs and an evergreen crop of hops and wheat to fuel them. And Shane wasn't stupid—he'd almost gone broke from buying the stuff before, so he knew it was lucrative. You'd have to be crazy to give that up. Farmers had it rough, especially ones that worked as hard as you. Having such an easy source of passive income should've been a no-brainer.
Oh, and you stopped bringing him alcohol. You were a social drinker—he'd seen you share Kahlua-and-coffee martinis with the good doctor or bond with Leah over a sweet red. But when it came to Pam and him, you were only ever seen with soda and some filling food in hand. He wondered if you thought he wouldn't notice. If he was too out of it or too naïve.
You visited JojaMart sometimes—normally just to check on him, never to buy anything—and you always had a tense look on your face whenever he was stocking the drinks section. That, that one actually hurt. Yeah, he had bad habits. He was working, only half successfully, on breaking them. But that made him think you really thought he had no self-control. That he was going to wander forward like a zombie and mindlessly rip into the Jack Daniels and Bud Lite. He shouldn't be trusted super far, but he thought he at least deserved the sliver of faith that would be required to believe that wouldn't happen.
That was what he was thinking about as he sat next to the fireplace, cola in a stein in his hand. See, he was doing better. He wasn't used to being fully lucid at this hour of the night, but he was getting there. It was significantly more uncomfortable, sitting there in silence when he wasn't half-catatonic. Everyone else was having a great time. Even Marnie was having a... whoa, beyond friendly conversation with the mayor. Hell, where were you, anyway? You were always trying so hard to make sure he wasn't alone, and now you leave him alone? Maybe he deserved it for all those times he blew you off.
"Hey!" You suddenly appeared in his line of vision. Suddenly, even completely sober, he couldn't sort out his feelings. He was grateful to you for watching out for him; he obviously couldn't do that himself. He was annoyed that you infantilized him. He was confused that you put up with him. Why didn't you just cut loose and stop holding yourself back for someone who has done nothing but screwed over their own life?
"What are you doing here?" Shane said. Crap. That wasn't what he meant to say, not at all. He meant to say 'Why do you stay? Why do you care? I'm not worthy of you.'
Your face fell and Shane needed a drink or six. "Trying to hang out with you," you responded, your voice edged with anger and sadness. "I was—y'know what, I'll leave you be, I just wanted to give this to you."
You held your closed hand out expectantly, and he obliged with an extended palm.
You dropped a pearl into it.
"Wha—" his mouth dropped open in disbelief. "Oh, wow, Farmer, how did you know this is my favorite?"
You were already gone. He checked the clock on the opposite wall. Well, it was already 12. Maybe you just wanted to get a good night's sleep. He hoped that was all.
But Shane wasn't stupid.
When you exited your house at 6:10 AM sharp the next morning, you almost tripped over him before noticing that Shane was sitting on your steps. This was a huge break in his routine, and it worried you. "Shane? What're you—" You stopped yourself, realizing that you were parroting his words from the previous night.
"I didn't mean what I said," Shane said abruptly. His murky brown eyes looked into yours with absolute earnesty, and you noticed something rather special about them. They weren't teary or red-striped. He wasn't hungover, at all.
Your brow furrowed. "About what?"
"About—about... just, how I treat you, y'know. Always blowing you off and acting like you're not worth my time. I know it should be the other way around," his gaze dropped to the ground and he scuffed his foot against the wood of the front steps.
You lowered yourself to sit next to him, knees nearly touching. Time always seemed to stand still when you spoke to him—the sun was stuck in the sky, and you weren't worried about what you were going to get done that day.
"What do you mean, Shane?"
"You know what I mean, Farmer," he said, before exhaling and rubbing his hands on his pants. "I just... I'm not... good enough, for you. I'm a, uh, flash in the pan, I guess. What I'm trying to say... is I'm sorry," he sighed, risking looking up at you again.
Your eyes seemed to look through him. "Shane," you said gently. "You're good enough, for me, for anyone," you emphasized. "And I... do understand why you say the things you do, and they are unfortunate, but I appreciate you recognizing that and apologizing."
Shane looked from your piercing eyes, to your hand that was resting on your knee, centimeters from his, back to your eyes. "I'm trying. Really trying."
You took his hand, and his heart rate spiked. "I know you are, and I know that Marnie and Jas and I really appreciate it."
"Yeah," Shane whispered. Part of him felt guilty—that somehow, Jas wasn't enough to straighten him out. But he was grateful that somehow, you were.
Your thumb rubbed the back of his hand, comforting him further. He wondered how you could stand touching him. Even after that touching speech, he had a hard time believing you. Even if his personality, his character, was something you seemed to admire, which was beyond him on its own, look at him. He had gained... a number of pounds in the past eight months, he shaved maybe every three days, despite getting a five o'clock shadow by the end of that day. His hair was a genuine disaster, even though Marnie refused to admit it. He was physically clean (most of the time), and that was basically where the pros stopped.
"Thank you so much for coming over here this morning, Shane," you said. Shane had to suppress a shiver at the way you said his name. It didn't sound the way anyone else ever said it. Maybe it was just his imagination.
But he was more than happy to keep imagining it. "I can't tell you... how much it means to me, that you're reaching out and, and trying. In the most non-patronizing way, I'm proud of you."
He could almost feel tears welling in his eyes. "You're—you're proud of me?"
He hadn't heard that since high school.
"Yeah, of course," you nodded genuinely.
He laughed, almost in disbelief. "Thanks."
You let go of his hand, and Shane had the chance to experience a split-second of disappointment before you used your now free arms to wrap him in a hug. "You can tell me if this is okay or not," you said, your words muffled by his Joja jacket.
"It's okay," he responded quickly, trying not to squeeze you too tightly.
You pulled back, wondering for a moment if it would be going too far, before you decided to press a quick kiss to his cheek. You stood, walking off to water your crops. "I should probably let you go, you don't wanna be late for work."
Shane's face was all pink, and he nodded after a moment's delay. "Right, yeah, um...thanks for listening to me," he stood as well. "See you later."
You watched him take the path from your house into town, zipping up his jacket against the wind. He had patched the holes in it.

hi !
hope ur day(or whenever ur reading this !) is going well, i was looking through ur acc and saw that you did a poll on whether or not Harvey should get pegged and its been driving me insane(like in the best way possible !) and so i was wondering if you had any thoughts or headcanons on Harvey taking a more submissive role in the bedroom ?(bc i mean look at that man !! he needs to be pampered)
love ur fics and the way you characterize each of the older bachelors !(in this haze of green and gold and luau day altered my brain chemistry, the way you write Shane is incredible.)
Heh heh heh heh heh
Yeah, I have some subby Harvey headcanons
NSFW warning
Somebody please top this man
Okay, so initially I see Harvey as falling into the softdom role very easily and naturally and willingly back in med school/residency/working at the hospital. His dating pool was almost entirely other doctors who were as stressed out and overwhelmed as he was. Social interaction in general could be a bit unnerving for him, but he found that if he could channel that kind of gentle authority he used with his patients he was almost universally well received.
He found it genuinely satisfying to meet his partners’ needs, was aroused by the way his partners responded to him, and was happy in the dynamic. Dating was a very small part of his life, and once he figured out a role he could fill he didn’t question it too much further.
This continues when he moves to Stardew Valley and gets involved with the farmer. He falls back on old habits and the farmer is into it and this is fine for a while. But then he and the farmer get closer and he’s given an opportunity and a safe place to dig deeper into what he really wants?
Well.
It’d be a slow unraveling. Maybe you’re riding him and just for the fun of it you pin him down by a wrist. You didn’t put too much thought into it, but the way his face goes blank with pleasure, the way he groans and comes almost immediately?
Well.
So you talk with him a little. He’s shy and nervous about it. It’s new to him and he’s a person who likes to stick with what he knows. But then one night he comes home all stressed and flustered, and instead of letting him take control like he usually does you tell him to get on his knees. The wave of gratitude that rolls off him surprises you both.
Once, when you’d first started dating, you’d asked Harvey what he liked so much about model airplanes (you know, besides the whole ‘they’re planes’ thing). He had to think about it a bit, but concluded it was having a period of time where he didn’t have to think or make decisions, and in the end he had something he liked.
You can see where this is going.
Harvey loves it when you tell him what to do. He’s incredibly eager to please. Tell him where to stand, where to sit. Tell him what to do with his clothes. Tell him what to do with your clothes.
Keep talking. Tell him where to touch you. Tell him how to touch you. Tell him to go harder, that he can do better, doesn’t he want you to feel good? Tell him to go slower, that you want to take your time with him. Or tell him to keep his hands to himself, to watch, to earn it.
Tell him he better not come yet, it’s not time, he has to wait until you’re done with him. Tell him what a good boy he’s being when you’re ready for him to fall apart.
Harvey loves to be praised.
You can be a little rough with him. It’s okay, he likes it. Craves it, really. Your fingers in his hair, grabbing and directing. Showing him exactly where to go, exactly what to do. Or climb on top of him, work his mouth, take what you need and let him show you how well he can keep up.
Bondage? Hell yeah. He already has the supplies anyway, has used them on you before. It’s fun to watch him when he’s strapped down and naked, chest heaving, hard and pulsing just from anticipation. You barely have to touch him to make him shudder, just ghost your fingertips over him, just a tease. Work him up, but not enough to finish. Do it again. Watch him fall apart. Make him beg for it. Deny him. Listen to the sounds he makes: you’re the only one who has ever heard them. Don’t let him finish until he’s earned it.
When you’re both done, pull him close. Let him rest his head on your chest. Scratch his scalp. Enjoy the way his lips are loose and sated as he drops slow, mindless kisses on your skin. Tell him how much you love him. Listen while he tells you the same. No one’s ever seen him like this, like there’s no weight on his shoulders, like he’s finally been seen, been known.
Then tomorrow night, do it all again.

the below confession was submitted off anon (its a long one):
can someone hear me out on shelliott? (shane/elliott)
they have actually been consuming my thoughts ever since i first started playing. at first i thought combining their dynamics would be funny, but guys.. i dont think its a joke anymore,, ...
IN ALL SERIOUSNESS PLEASE HEAR ME OUT
elliott moved to stardew valley for a change. shane has been living here for ages, living an endless cycle of deprivation and misery (in short, he has not felt change). he meets elliott, who of course is glad and excited to life a new life, whereas shane'll live the same old routine. like w the farmer, shane would be extremely cold to elliott, pushing him away because he sorta pisses him off with his sunny aura and all that, but as all things go, elliott is eager to know more about him, and boom.
shane 2 heart event but theyre at the beach. elliott happens to pass by the guy, sat on the docks south of the beach surrounded by an 8-pack of beer. shane tells him how he feels, and elliott realizes why shane acts the way he is — rude, annoyed, pissy — because he can't seem to catch a break from helplessness.
he understands it, both in a sympathetic and in an aesthetic way — not aesthetic as in he romanticizes it, but rather sees the beauty in such an ugly feeling — and he listens, even if he can't help in the way shane needs it. he listens because he could.
i also really just cant get over the events that could happen during shanes 6 heart event. BECAUSE??
shane asks him why he shouldn't roll off that ledge at that moment. elliott, face soaking wet from both the rain and his tears, tells him it's because the world would mourn those who don't live long enough to realize living is to love. and from shane's point of view, elliott is the world.
all this include these hcs too:
adamant and persistent x given up w life and distant
LOVER X THINKS HES UNLOVEABLE !!!!!
sees the beauty in life x sees the ugliness
elliott's demure nature changes when he witnesses shane at his lowest
shane thinks elliott's romantic schtick is a whole lotta nonsense, but he slowly warms up to it and eventually indulges on his own
overall shane just being in denial because he fell for elliott's cheesy romantic shit. "no way in hell am i gonna like that guy with his long swoopy hair... and his weirdly kind way with words... and oddly comforting aura... and... FUCK"
anyway i hope this spreads my shelliott propaganda. SDV FIC WRITERS PLEASE WRITE MORE SHELLIOTT‼️‼️

🐔 The Shane Defending Master List 🐔
If you’re reading this, hi! My name’s Gab. I mainly post art on here, but I decided to do something different this time.
Are you tired of seeing Shane slander wherever you go? Whether your Stardew friends are not understanding his appeal, or you see the comments section online calling Shane “the ick”, this post is for you.
Introducing…
THE SHANE DEFENDING MASTER LIST!!!!
This is a 29-page thesis about the community’s opinions towards the sad chicken man, Shane. I also dive into counterclaims and moral analysis on certain topics. They also include in-game dialogue from Shane and other NPCs in the game to support my points.
By the way, these are not just claims thought of by me, but it was mainly mentioned by the Stardew community. I went through several posts, such as Tumblr and Reddit, reading through opinionated comments about Shane, and that’s where I based my thesis on (it’s also why I decided to call it a thesis since I call it my research I suppose, even though it’s not for academic purposes lol).
One last thing I wanna say is that I hope I don’t offend anyone with my master list in any way!!! This is just for recreational and entertainment purposes, and it’s not meant to threaten or hate anyone here at all!! I cannot change your mind about certain topics, and that’s perfectly fine. The least I can do is not offend anyone with what I say, and if I do, please please please let me know 🥲
Anyways, take your time to read the thing! I wrote quite a bit on there since I consider it like a yapping session, haha. Hope you enjoy!
Feel free to add your thoughts in the comments btw <3 (btw y’all should follow my blog if you haven’t already ;) )

Shane accepting himself as a dad
A/N – “Little” thought dump I wrote at the hairdresser today, I'll probably continue it when I find the time
I haven't played sdv in forever cause I can't find the charger of my switch I miss it
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fandom: Stardew Valley (Shane x gn!Reader/Farmer)
Summary: Thoughts on the lead-up to Shane and Jas moving in with you
Tags: established relationship, tbh reader appears like thrice maybe, some fluff, some angst, some reverse comfort, no beta we die like my activity
Warnings: Some talks about alcoholism and mental illness cause it's Shane, a shit lot of miscommunication, brief talk of Shane and Farmer having own kids, death mention
Note: It got too long so I didn't get to the part where reader/farmer would've been more prominent so this is very focused on the dynamic between Shane, Jas and Marnie
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thinking about how in the game when you marry Shane he doesn't take Jas with him
I wish she could live on the farm with you, but let’s actually look at that scenario and Marnie's place in it
Shane is Jas’ official caretaker, but with how his mental health and alcohol consume used to be he definitely wasn’t able to fully take care of her, I’m guessing Marnie did most of that. Like Shane DOES really care for her and did what he could, it just wasn’t enough when he got worse. Simultaneously he saw Marnie care for her the way he wished he could've and it just seemed so effortless (it wasn’t, she was just grieving differently). It made him feel like he could retreat from his parental role, have Marnie take it and stop himself from pulling Jas down with him, he didn’t want to be selfish and put her well-being at risk just to be the one playing parent.
Honestly, he was probably right in that decision, he couldn’t have fully cared for a child.
But it’s different now, he’s better now, he’s ready.
He starts spending more time with her again, no longer feeling like he’s a risk to her, no longer being so ashamed. He takes on tasks like making lunch and bringing her to bed more often.
He doesn’t even notice it until Jas, Marnie or you point it out, might write a scenario for that at some point but let’s move on for now
Anyway, he realizes he’s taken the role of a parent for her. And then you give him the mermaid pendant, and he’s so happy that everything is slowly working out.
When he comes home and tells Marnie she is quick to pull him into a tight hug, she’s so happy he’s managing to really turn his life around.
Jas is so so excited, asking when they'll move to the farm
Shane wants to have her come right with him, he's talked to you about it and you were quick to tell him you'd be happy to have her, but he realizes he should really talk to Marnie about that first.
So they kinda just redirect her question.
Later though they sit together and talk about the upcoming change of Shane's living situation.
At Shane’s declaration of wanting to take Jas right with him, Marnie is hesitant and gently suggests that might not be the best idea.
Shane believes it’s because Jas has become a daughter to her, something he actively pushed to happen by making her take all responsibility for the little girl (and for him too, actually), and he figures he doesn’t really have the right to take Jas from her after she has been the one taking care of her for so long.
Except that isn’t the reason at all. Marnie has never seen herself as Jas’ mom. She loves Jas a lot of course and she’ll surely miss her a lot once she moves, but she has never not seen Shane as the one to be Jas’ new parent.
She wants this for both Shane and Jas, but she’s just so worried. She’s seen Shane at his worst and all that has lead up to it, seen him almost get better but then fail again more often than she’d like to have.
She’s honestly more worried about Shane than Jas. What if Shane takes on too much responsibility at once? His new role as a husband, the changes that come with living on the farm, and then he'll also be fully responsible for Jas? She's worried he'll end up feeling overwhelmed and get worse again. And then if Jas sees it this time, oh gosh... (Okay, maybe it is about Jas)
Now bear with me it's about to get a little confusing
Shane doesn't know that's the reason, Marnie doesn't tell him outright to not upset him.
So when she brings up the hint of “are you sure? She can stay here some longer too” he thinks it's because of her relationship with Jas and he's just like “yeah y'know maybe that works” because he doesn't want to take Jas from her after making Marnie take care of her so long, however she thinks it's because he really does think it'd be too much at once.
So they're like “okay good talk” and go their ways and while Marnie is like “okay cool I'll help some more till he feels able to care for her fully” Shane is knocking on your door having half a breakdown like “I fucked up I'll never get to take on the role of her father”
On a side note, he went to the farm and not the saloon, and both of you have a brief moment of gratitude for the fact so let's take a second to appreciate him for that too
Alright, he has been appreciated
But yeah, I kinda hc their communication isn't great in general. It's not for lack of trying (not anymore, it used to be a factor when Shane wasn't doing well) or something causing arguments, it's more so a thing where the two talk and then think everything is fine when they in reality have talked past each other so hard.
It's usually silly, small stuff like chores or something and resolved with a quick clarification and doesn't cause issues – except this time it did.
Anyway, he's at your doorstep, kinda having a breakdown.
You let him in of course, get him some water, gently tell him to calm down and tell you what happened.
His explanation is not very coherent, consisting mainly of him repeating how he fucked up, it might very well spiral into a full on panic attack.
Shane's not usually someone to panic but this is about Jas, who is the most important thing in the world to him, not to forget the only way he knew how to cope is kind of gone.
After a while he manages to explain what's going on more clearly, how he so badly wants to care for Jas the way he should have from the start, but he can't because he made mistakes he can't fix, how Marnie has taken that role and is entirely reasonable in wanting to keep it.
Then he breaks down again.
You don't really know what to do, he's in a terrible state, and what can you say? If the situation was truly how Shane presented it (which you assumed of course) there wouldn't really be much you could do to help.
You end up calling his therapist, he's against the idea at first but caves at your pleading look.
He's put you in situations in which you had to try help him with no idea how to before, hell he's made you fear for his life with this kind of bullshit before! He doesn't want you to go through that again.
In the beginning you sit with him, help explain to his therapist what happened, let Shane lay his head on your chest while talking to her.
When after a while he is much calmer you go make his favorite dinner, waiting for him to finish the phone call.
They make an appointment for Saturday and Shane hangs up, wordlessly coming over to you and letting himself fall into your arms. You have dinner and go to bed, deciding it's better for him to stay with you tonight, and maybe also the next few day. You'll figure out how to go on about this on Saturday.
Meanwhile Marnie has no idea about all of this and tells Jas about the decision (she thinks) they made, how Shane will move to the farm but needs some time to “settle in” as she calls it, and then Jas can move there too later on.
She's bummed about not getting to come along right away but is generally okay with the idea, not much bothered.
This whole misunderstanding is only really revealed when Jas and Shane cross parts the next time. This could be several days later, or the next one which I'm gonna go with.
Unfortunately for Shane, Jas was already planned to come to the farm that day to “help” (aka pet your animals) so she shows up there in the morning and it's. A bit awkward. Not that she'd notice, though.
Inevitably the topic of Shane moving to the farm comes up. It's in bypassing, it doesn't really matter how, but it causes even more chaos.
She says something about how she'll miss him when he moves to the farm, which feels like a punch in the gut to him, cause he doesn't even know she just means in the short while till he gets her over there too.
He tries not to let it show in front of her, it's not her fault, so he tries to play over his reaction by saying something along the lines of “I'll miss you too, but you and Marnie can come visit. If the farmer and me start a family you can come over and-”
And like damn. Not the best thing he could've said in that situation.
Cause up until just know she thought she was coming after him like a month or something later!
Jas' eyes fill with tears and she has such a look of betrayal on her face Shane doesn't even finish his sentence.
“You don't want me here?”
And he's just like fuck lol
In retrospect he doesn't actually know what Marnie told Jas and how she explained the decision to her. Thinking about it she probably didn't exactly go “Hey actually Shane used to be a good for nothing alcoholic so I decided I'm your mom”
But wait, does Jas want to stay with him on the farm?
Because yeah wait!! He did not consider that and how she feels about this.
Meanwhile Jas is now also a victim of the miscommunication between Marnie and Shane (aren't we all?)
Before Shane can think of something to say she's bolting, running back home.
You - who watched the interaction happen - and Shane go after her, coming to the ranch to find Jas crying in her bed with Marnie sitting next to her and trying to coax her into explaining what happened. When she sees you she moves away from her, figuring you two must have a better idea of what's going on.
Shane takes Marnie's place and asks Jas why she's crying.
She looks up at him with a heartbreaking expression and says “You said you'll start a family, but what about me?” (not rlly like that but I suck at dialogue)
And Shane is like “Marnie is your family”
I love him but.... shut up, Shane!!
That blow was so hard both you and Marnie could feel it!
In his defense, he realizes that was dumb as fuck like immediately after.
“I mean... fuck, she's been a mom for you so long, way more than I ever was, I can't just take you away now”
And Marnie stiffens cause like that's the moment it starts dawning on her something didn't go quite right in their earlier communication. And then you notice her reaction and it starts dawning on you as well and you kinda just look at each other like “oh shit”.
Which Shane and Jas are completely unaware of.
“She's not my mom! I don't want her to by my mom”
And Jas is honestly really irritated by Shane's interpretation of their family dynamic because yeah Marnie has taken care of her a long time and she's really close to her of course but she still never saw her as something other than her aunt, just like Marnie always considered Jas her niece.
“Why don't you want to be my dad?”
It's sort of a breaking point for all four of you.
For Shane it feels like in a matter of seconds he's reliving every moment since the day Jas' parents died. They chose him as the one who'd take in Jas if something happened to them. They could've decided on Marnie, but they didn't. In that moment he realizes that maybe his fear of this parental role he really did want to take not being rightfully his was never about Marnie to begin with.
At the same time, Marnie and you decide to finally intervene. She gently pulls him towards the door, telling him they have to talk, meanwhile you sit with Jas to comfort her.
You let her climb into your lap and hug her, just holding her and waiting for Marnie and Shane to finish talking, until she speaks up again quietly
“Do you not want me on the farm?”
And you're of course immediately telling her you do!! You want her there, you consider her family and she goes “I think Shane doesn't” and like no he does!! He's just stupid!
Except you don't say that to her of course cause don't say that to her.
Meanwhile Marnie is torn between hugging Shane because man he's apparently spent years thinking he has no place as her parent and scolding him cause how the fuck did he spend years thinking he has no place as her parent.
It ends up being the scolding (gently though, she does get where he was coming from).
She explains everything to him, from exactly how she feels about Jas to what she meant when she suggested to have Jas stay with her.
“You're her father now. Her parents chose for you to be and she did too. You're her dad, and nothing you or I do can change that”
And it's wild because he realizes he has always refused those titles. He always talked about his parental role or his role as a father, yeah, but he's never dared call himself her dad. But he is, isn't he?
They have a long talk and Shane learns his place in the family was never a question, while Marnie has her anxiety over Shane taking on too much at once calmed.
They settle on Jas staying at the ranch on weekdays and the farm on weekends for the first month, so he can settle and you can get used to having a child around all the time. After that she'll move to the farm entirely, with the promise to have her stay at Marnie's a bit if Shane ever feels like it's too much for him.
He goes back to Jas' room to explain everything to her and tell her she'll of course come along to his new life.
And when he opens then door he sees you sit with Jas – with his daughter - in your arms, petting her hair comfortingly and he's like yeah.
That's his family.
