merry xmas moss!! do you have any arcane milf holiday season hcs? 🎄
content warnings; fem reader. sfw ! — lowercase writing intended, fluffy fluff, holiday celebration ( oh definitely !!! merry christmas and happy holidays, here's some drabbles how it would be like with them arcane milfs :D these are short and little late but hope you like them anyway ! )
⠀⠀( dialing . . . ) — happy holidays w/ ambessa, cassandra, sevika, renata, and grayson
— 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐑𝐀 𝐊𝐈𝐑𝐀𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐍
holidays for cassandra were a stressful time, even with all the maids around the house she was making sure everything was nothing less than perfect. the most enormous christmas tree, the classic christmas songs, and the prettiest pastries for after dinner. she is a sight to see in her most adorable apron, running back and forth from one end to another in the kitchen.
it's a packed house at the kiramman residency every year, with extended family filling the giant mansion with some council members who otherwise wouldn't be making such a hassle out of it. it's nerve-racking for cassandra but seeing you chat away with her nosy family, watching as you bob your head to the song in the background just makes her remember how worth it this is.
if she could she would be standing next to you all night, hooking her arm with yours while drinking egg nog, but guests are to be taken care of.
she wishes she could be walking around in the cold snow, tucked away in a thick jacket with you, sharing memories since that is her favorite part about the holidays.
FAVORITE CHRISTMAS MOVIE; the santa clause
— 𝐀𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐀 𝐌𝐄𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐀
christmas in noxus was not as big as anywhere else in runeterra, so she isn't so much interested in it. first, that is, soon when you are putting the lights on and seeing how excited you seem to be it grows on her, so much so that it becomes her favorite thing.
lifting you up to place the top ornament has to be the best part about it, teasing you how much of a shorty you were compared to her and needing help.
aside from the amazing food that you told the cooks to make, what you whipped up for her to drink next to the fire was hot cocoa. she never tasted something like this made out of chocolate! and those little sweet pillows on top you toasted somehow, delicious!
no severed body parts on or under the tree ambessa, it's not that kind of joyous time.
FAVORITE CHRISTMAS MOVIE; home alone
— 𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐀 𝐆𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐂
the chem-baroness hasn't celebrated the holidays for what seemed like her whole life ever since she started the glasc industries. she hardly has any traditions aside from listening to the seasonal songs on vinyl with a glass of her finest drink from the top shelf.
renata finds it adorable how you insist on a tree, how you explain that food has to do a lot with the holiday and that the presents are essential but not that important.
she is absolutely against for you to lay in the snow to make a snow angel, no way josé. for starters, you could get sick, not to mention that you never know what is under it, for all you could know there might be some dirt or worse there that somebody disposed of.
she takes you out for christmas dinner and to see some christmas stage performances in piltover. favorite part of the day and the holiday, sitting with you in the darkness in the theater box with a glass of champagne or whatever you wanted to drink. holding hands, making little comments about the performance and the music.
FAVORITE CHRISTMAS MOVIE; the nutcracker (ballet version)
— 𝐒𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐊𝐀
the holidays for sevika were spent at either the brothel or the last drop, given that she really didn't have anyone special to spend the celebration with- she picked someone up. but when you popped into the picture her whole ritual was re-forged and sevika was to the moon and back about the holidays coming around, so much so she was the one buying matching ugly christmas sweaters for the both of you.
sevika is that cheeky person who would be dancing around you, even trying to get you to join her while singing christmas songs from the top of her lungs.
her favorite is the baking part, not because she makes the best cookies or pastries but because of how fun it can be. throwing flour at each other, dropping eggs, and just the all-around chaos. non of you can bake but making gingerbread cookies can't be that hard, right? it's a mess but they turn out okay, they might look ugly because the frosting is melting but the two of you made it!
FAVORITE CHRISTMAS MOVIE; how the grinch stole christmas
— 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐘𝐒𝐎𝐍
christmas gets busy for the sheriff of piltover, all these people having last-minute shopping trips and kicking each other in the ankles, and ending up in front of the steam train.
she might not have been looking forward to the holidays but ever since you and she decided to spend them together, it's essential for her to get off work in time for dinner with you. last time she couldn't get you a proper present or at least in her opinion, not the 'perfect' gift so she is going all out this year.
grayson loves decorating the house, sneaking a mistletoe somewhere hardly be noticed so she can plant you into a sneak attack kiss.
FAVORITE CHRISTMAS MOVIE; elf

ok idk if im gonna finish this today but let it be known I TriedTM. heres a consolation excerpt in case i don't manage to post before christmas is over for me. merry crisis (goh's sexuality crisis, anyway)
It only clicks when Goh stops to hold open the door for Gary and Ash goes, “Careful of the bells!” He glances up, half-expecting to see them already falling, then freezes. Just in time, Gary steps under the frame. “Oh, dear,” says Delia, faintly amused. That’s enough to get Gary stopping, too. With a raised eyebrow, he looks over his shoulder at Delia and Ash, then follows their gazes up to the offending plant above his and Goh’s heads. “Very clever, Ash,” he says dryly as he eyes drop down to Goh. “Don’t look too mad, now. It is tradition, y’know.” And before Goh can even react, he’s leaned down to press his lips against Goh’s cheek. Without another word, he sweeps past him to get outside. “What the hell,” Goh splutters. “Where did you even get that?!” “It’s not about where you get it,” Ash says cheerfully. “It’s about where you put it!”
writing one (1) stupid cheesy romcom-esque christmas fic per year is a full-time job. tbh
#mistletoe is my thing. in case anyone forgot. That's My Thing#taylor.txt#wips#its currently just under 5k but i think im maybe only halfway. if that. oh curse of writing long things...you will never leave me#gary thinks hes soooooo smooth but hes not. btw. dont let him fool you#anyway really. merry christmas to those whole celebrate. happy whatever day it is to those who dont#((im on holidays. the only thing im keeping track of is how many bottles of wine ive consumed. sorry))

Prompt: 3. Smiles
A/N: Here we go, day 3 of SNAPEMAS and today we get Smiles as a prompt! :D I decided to play with one of my favourite Snape love tropes in this one; age difference. So while you are young - a mere 21 of age, Severus is 43 (so, 22 years age difference - same as my grandparents btw xD)
Also, please know that I use the term 'Christmas morning' since some celebrate on the 24:th (Christmas Eve) and some celebrate on the 25:th (Christmas Day). I don't want to limit it by writing Christmas Day Morning or Christmas Eve Morning ^^ Same goes for when I write Christmas - rather than Christmas Day or Christmas Eve :P
Setting: Diagon Alley, Sugarplum's Sweets Shop
Pairing: Snape x Reader
Word count: 1467
Warnings: Fluff, Age Difference
Masterlist page // Masterlist post // SNAPEMAS POST
Diagon Alley was brimming with activity, teeming with merriness and joy as people rushed here and there. But you, however, did not rush. You simple walked slowly through the crowd with your boyfriend next to you. Your arm wrapped around his. Your heavy coats kept you nice and toasty as tiny flakes of snow sifted through the cold air.
You could not have been happier. This would be your first Christmas with the love of your life. Your first Christmas by his side. The first time you exchanged presents and the first time you'd wake up on Christmas morning and be able to cuddle in his arms. Oh, how you longed for Christmas to actually come around so you could make many new memories with your beloved.
It would be different this year of course. Your family had shunned you after you got together with Severus; he was more than twice your age and your family did not approve. He was almost as old as your own father - but what did it matter? You loved him, he loved you and you never felt as cherished as you did under his loving gaze. He was all you could ever have hoped for. And you chose him, you would always do so.
"Do you want to go in?" Severus asked as you had stopped in front of a second-hand bookstore. You shook your head, today was not for books. You both usually got stuck and the whole day would be lost. No today you wanted to be with him, in every way. "Let's go there," you said and pointed towards a very pink store called Sugarplum's Sweets Shop. Severus's lips tugged in a half-smile as he nodded. "As you wish, love," he said and your heart pounded at his voice and the utterance of the word 'love'.
The store was quite full of people but they seemed to clear a path as Severus strode in with his commanding presence. He always did that, it was just who he was and you loved it. His command, his aura, his posture and the respect he seemed to demand just by breathing. You relished in his strength and felt as soft as cotton in comparison. As brittle as glass. Yet he was like a barrier between you and all things that could break you. You were safe with him. Strong with him. Happy and carefree with him.
You looked around, there were sweets of all kinds; and pastries. The air was thick with a sugary scent and it was too hot with the heavy cloak you wore. But it didn't matter. You took his hand and dragged him over to the liquorice corner. So many goodies, you thought as you let go of Severus and looked at all the sweets. You smiled so broadly, had you not had ears it might have gone all the way around your head.
"What should we get?" you asked and turned towards Severus. He smiled at you, one of those smiles he never gave to any other person, as his arms laid crossed over his chest. "Whatever you wish, love," he said in that rumbling voice of his that made your heart pound a little harder as your knees grew a little weaker. You gave him a joyful expression before you turned back to the liquorice. you grabbed a bag and started to fill it with four pieces of each candy you wished to eat and share with him.
You walked around the store, filled your bag with care and grabbed a few pastries as well. You wanted to share them with him, with your beloved Severus and see his smile as you both shared such a sweet little moment in private. You were well aware that he had a different persona in front of others. That he had to, it was like a protective wall of his own. Like he was to you. But you didn't mind. You knew his true nature and the love he held for you. Just thinking about it made you all giddy.
He came up behind you as you were pondering whether to take the pumpkin pastries or the cinnamon rolls. He gave the top of your head a kiss and whispered in your ear, "Take both, darling. You know you will regret it later otherwise." You giggled as he gave your warm ear a little nibble before he kissed your jaw tenderly. You grabbed both the pastries and the rolls before he led you to the register.
Your goodies were packed, Severus paid and out the door you went. Your arm yet again wrapped around his as he carried the bag with all the goodies in his free hand. You talked animatedly about how you wanted to decorate his house, buy a tree, make a Christmas dinner among many other Christmas related activities. He barely said a word but every time you glanced up at him he wore the brightest of smiles. Despite being in public. Despite the looks everyone gave you. Despite the whispers and the people who swirled to avoid walking in his path. He smiled so brightly. You could not help but smile just as brightly as you walked down Diagon Alley.
When you arrived at Severus's house at Spinner's End you hung up your coat, kicked off your snowy boots and slipped your feet in the fluffy slippers he had bought you a few weeks ago. You had only complained once, once, that the floors were a little cold and just an hour later he presented you with the cutest little bunny slippers that were so soft and warm it felt as though you walked on sun-heated clouds.
You had grabbed the bag from him before you headed to the kitchen. You unpacked the goodies and placed them in different boxes to keep them fresh in the hopes you would be able to enjoy it all for a few days at least. Severus came in on muffled steps. His arms wrapped around you as he kissed the top of your head again. You leaned back into him and that smile was back yet again.
"If you don't stop my cheeks are going to hurt," you chided softly as your hands landed on his forearms that were wrapped right over your chest. "Stop what?" he murmured softly and the words vibrated through your entire body as his voice seemed to reach every inch of you. "Making me smile like this," you hummed and closed your eyes, completely content.
Severus chuckled and kissed your temple. "Never. It is my mission in life to keep you smiling," he said and you giggled. "Sev, you're so sweet." "Hm, perhaps for you. For you," he murmured and kissed your temple again, "I will be as sweet as I can." His words made you tremble and you felt so adored it nearly burst out of you in pure energy.
"This Christmas will be the greatest one ever," you sighed happily as your thumb stroked his arm. "I am sorry your family has not-" "Oh hush, they can rot in their mansion without the joy of watching the golden star on top of the tree." Severus leaned back a little and you looked up at his pondering face. You smiled wickedly on a soft shrug of your shoulder. "It's mine, the golden star was a gift from my great grandfather and it always sits at the top of the tree, every Christmas. Well, except, this year it will sit at the top of our tree," you said with that wicked smile and he let you go on a soft hum.
You spun around and embraced him as you tilted your head back to look him in the eye. "It is mine and it will be where I will be. And I, I will always be with you, from now and until the end of time." Severus's arms encased you in warmth as he gave your smiling lips a soft kiss. "You are a wicked delight, my love," he chuckled, "and I am the happiest man in the universe to be with you." You reached up and kissed him to convey all the feelings you had for him. He returned the favour.
You kissed while you smiled and everything seemed right in the world. Warmth, light and heavenly love filled you up as he refused to let you go until you wined about eating the goodies you had purchased earlier. And even then he only let go a little bit, so you could reach the goodies before he walked you to the living room with his hand at your lower back. His face in such a bright smile it made you feel as if the brightest of Christmas lights had nothing on his shine.
Day three of SNAPEMAS and this was just a pure joy to write - I so rarely stick to just fluffy love stuff ( I don't feel I'm really good at it so xD ) but this was so rewarding to write. I feel as though our lovely Snape deserves to have some pure love and joy in his life. Especially around Christmas!
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this and please join me for SNAPEMAS - it is not too late! :D

How would Viktor Licht and Joker react if their Agender s/o was being harassed for their gender identity? Would they throw hands or..
i have two other requests that i am working on! if you requested either one of those, i will get them out asap, but my family's been moving so it's been hectic.
Joker with a Bullied Agender S/O
Sol help the person who dares come after you. He would throw hands as soon as the words left their mouth.
You'll definitely wind up having to hold him back from ending the poor moron's whole career.
Joker loves you more than anything and he'll be damned if he lets anything or anyone hurt you in anyway.
If you need comforting, he'll cuddle you, distract you with a movie, or whatever you may need in order to feel better.
Viktor Licht with a Bullied Agender S/O
Honestly, he probably wouldn't think much of it at first. Insults and such tend to not bother him. Sure, he's weird, and sure people point it out all the time, but he's never really cared what others think of him. Since he doesn't really know what it's like to feel bad about something someone said, he really won't think much of it.
That is, until he sees how it affects you.
"Oh??? They made you cry???"
{PROTECTIVE VIKTOR: ACTIVATE}
He's a pacifist by nature, but for whoever made his sweet, precious s/o cry, he's willing to make an exception.
After the guy has been throughly warned (beaten), he won't hesitate to pick you up and cradle you. He won't say anything (probably scared to make it worse tbh), but he'll let you cry and rant all you want. If that doesn't make you feel better, he doesn't know what will (no seriously he doesn't, someone help this clueless babey).
I hope you like this Nonnie! Sorry it was so short! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays or if you don't celebrate anything at all, happy day. I still hope you enjoy it and get some good food.

Christmas Shopping in Saffron City
Summary: Blue meets Leaf gift-shopping in Saffron City. All he wanted was a little of her time, but he feels guilty. He has a weird way of apologising.
Rating: K+ - Suitable for more mature childen, 9 years and older, with minor action violence without serious injury. May contain mild coarse language. Should not contain any adult themes.
Words: 2000
Notes: Just some seasonal fluff. Enjoy.
Christmas had always meant a lot to Leaf and not a lot to Blue.
She loved the chaos and the madness and the whole family being thrown together and this was exactly what he disliked about it all, with all the conflict and obnoxiousness that plagued the Oak clan.
Frankly he could not be bothered with the whole ordeal, especially as it was only for one day. So, he would usually spend December pretending it was just November all over again, and on the 24th, he would sulk in the corner and wait for Daisy to bring him something to eat.
*_*_*_*_*
“Oh, sorry!” Leaf bumped into another shopper, wincing, her bags flying. “Didn’t see you there!”
He ignored her. It was not like he was going to be one of those people who was going to apologise because someone else bumped into him. He had only Veridian City in the middle of the day to deliver his gym battle ledger and accounts to the National Registrar in Saffron City, lest he be behest to fate and have to endure Erika’s dull conversation about tea on the waiting room. Again.
Then he saw who had bumped into him.
His much despised, and secretly loved, childhood rival and townie extraordinaire, Leaf. Of course. It was typical that she would be doing her Christmas shopping two days before the big day.
It was his idea of hell, the crowds of people, all the constant bustling and hustling.
He sighed in derision, but bent down to help her pick up the bags, in a demonstration of politeness rarely seen.
Oh, if only Red could have seen him now!
“Leaf, I’m sorry.” He apologised, as the brunette stands up.
“That is quite alright. I wasn’t looking where I was going.” She dismissed, waving her hand.
“That’s a lot of shopping you got there.” He said, and then felt rather stupid for pointing out the obvious.
“Yes!” She smiled warmly. Her large and relatively tacky Christmas tree earrings jangling against her neck making him smile in response. “It always gets crazy at this time of year, don’t you find?”
He nods. “It certainly does.”
No, actually, he did not think that. Mainly because he did not have the compulsive need to distribute Christmas gifts throughout the Kanto prefecture.
Despite being an only child of a widowed mother, Leaf was that kind of expansive character that got along with everyone and has tons of friends following her around. As a consequence, she always had long gift lists, and she insisted on choosing each and every last one herself. Based on what he got from her in the past, he would say she has a real knack for it, even if it all seems a little expensive.
Blue wonders how much Daisy pays her to work as a waitress at her Pokémon café in Viridian City so she can afford such lavishness every end of year.
Speaking of the groomer, the young trainer thanked his stars that he had one sister to buy for and he had ordered her presents over the internet. As for the other leaders and Elite Four’s obligatory gifts, his secretary had organised them, and Gramps would complain anyways, so it better to just give him a tie or whatever. Nonetheless, he supposed that he really ought to know what he was getting people.
“Anyways…” Leaf says, awkwardly. “I must be getting on, Merry Christmas and a happy New Year if I don’t see you before.”
The girl noticed how her childhood friend was stiff, and she knew his opinions about it from way before he went out on his training journey. He probably still is not the type who would enjoy and celebrate this festive time of year, but as it was Leaf’s absolute favourite time, she was not going to let a scrooge like Oak spoil it.
“And to you, too.” He moved the corner of his mouth in the upward direction but it did not feel like a true smile.
What Leaf did not know was that he was thinking of how he might possibly see her over the festive period. Sure, his sister’s café was just around the corner from his gym, but he had specifically checked with Daisy and she had said that they would be closing down tomorrow, up to January 4th.
If he knew her well, he would guess the object of his affections would spend her jolly season at a friend’s place or with her mother on a resort by the shores of the Lake of Rage. There would be no other opportunity to talk after this.
Before he knew it, though, she had readjusted her bags and went on her way.
He stood mildly dumbstruck and watched her retreating figure for several minutes before he lost her to the hustle and bustle of the crowds and had to step out of other shopper’s ways.
He hung around in the busy shopping street, and even as he did, he was unsure why he had chosen to do so. Was it really so that he could bump into her and ask her to have coffee with him to escape the cold winter weather? Did he honestly think that she would say yes?
No, of course not. Not after the way he had insulted her back in July. He was tired and stressed with the gym when he stopped by his sister’s, and unfortunately Leaf had been the closest living body in which he could take on his frustrations.
But then again, had not he done that numerous times? He had been forgiven each and every time before that, even if in all those occasions never had he ever berated her choice not to take on the gym challenge and hang on to Pallet Town while he and Red gallivanted around the prefecture.
He saw a flash of brown hair and a stupid white hat that she had an outstanding predilection disappear into a nearby jewellery store.
Surreptitiously, he followed her in. The store was large and he knew that should he bump into her he would be able to think of some reason he was in there.
“Back again, Leaf?” The young woman behind the counter smiled at her.
“Ah well you know me, can’t resist all the pretty things.” She laughed her amused laugh, one that he had not heard in a while.
“You never know! Someone might have bought something for you.” The attendant smiled before she was called over to another customer.
“Somehow I doubt it…” The waitress muttered to herself under her breath.
The brunette wandered around the shop looking at random cabinets and Blue found himself watching her more than other shoppers, which caused a few angry comments from people he bumped in his creeping.
The sales assistant, having finished her business with the other customer, joined Leaf by the left side as she was peered into a glass cabinet.
“So, which one would you buy if you could?” The woman asks. He recognizes the blonde as one of the Celadon City’s gym trainers. Those girls all had a penchant for commerce.
“Hmm…” Leaf pretended to think about it but immediately pointed to a silver drop necklace containing a large pendant made of sapphire. "That one. Always.”
The shop assistant smirked. “A favourite?”
His childhood friend sighed. “I love that necklace, Tamia. So much! It’s really rather pathetic considering that it’s just a necklace and not one that I’ll ever have.”
“There is a ring and bracelet to match. They might be more in your price range.” The other woman offered.
“I doubt it.” Leaf sighed. “Besides it’s a bit sad to buy your own jewellery. I only really came in here to get warm.”
Tamia laughed. “No pining for all the pretty jewels? I know I do.”
The brunette shook her head resolutely. “No pining.”
She hugged the girl named Tamia and left the shop.
Darcy waited until she had left and Tamia was occupied with another customer before going up to the counter asking to purchase that very same necklace.
“Of course, sir.” Another assistant, now a man, replied surprised as this was not the sort of item that they sold very often. “Right this way.”
Blue barely looked at the price as the gift was wrapped.
“Would you wish to see the accompanying items?” He offered.
Blue paused, buying the necklace had been reckless but at least he could give it to Daisy as a really special event, but he really could not justify buying the other items, no matter how generous were his earnings, between the Former Champion’s pension, his gym leader salary, his research and the performance bonus he was sure to get whenever he came around to give his documents to the Registrar.
“No, that’ll be all.” The trainer responded.
“Very well, sir.” The salesman said, politely. “Thank you very much.”
“Thank you.” He said and left the shop.
As he was walking out, he wondered why on earth he had just brought it. He had a receipt, should he return it right now? It was obvious sheer madness, something that he could not credibly chalk up to the weather or lack of sleep. Why had he done it?
Could he give it to his sister? Really? No. So, then what? A very expensive and beautiful necklace would just be sitting in his sock drawer.
What he did not know then was that nine months later he would be back in that shop buying the matching ring to that necklace and that one whole year after he had bought it would be the actual date that he would be giving the necklace to someone.
*_*_*_*_*
“What are you doing to that mistletoe?” Blue asked bluntly.
Christmas has passed so why would she be fiddling with decorations?
“Nothing.” She was lying, of course, as there was a twinkle in her eyes.
The man shot his gaze at the decorations. “I know we didn’t have any earlier, so where did you get that bunch and why are you putting it there?”
“No reason…” Leaf sang while tying the mistletoe above the doorframe and clutched at her new necklace, loving the way it hung there.
“I think that you’re setting a trap. I think that you know how often you are I will need to walk in and out of that door and you are planning that we kiss each time.” Blue smiled at his wife’s fabulous plan.
She gasped in faux revolt. “How dare you accuse me of such a thing, Mr. Oak!”
He chuckled. “I think it’s just the sort of thing that you would do, Mrs. Oak.”
She fell back off the chair she had been standing on and into his arms. “I love hearing you call me that, even if I’m not quite used to it yet.”
“Well, you better get used to it, then.” He smirked in joy and kissed her forehead.
“Of course, Mr. Oak.”
“Jolly good, Mrs. Oak.”
It took longer for Blue to track down the bracelet and it was for an entirely different reason that he bought it, but he still ended up giving it to her at the same time of year. Even if it took him years between bumping into his current wife and actually giving her for her birthday Autumn last year, a few weeks before their wedding.
“You know, we never planned this thing right.” She turned to him twisting her adorned wrist and watching the precious gems catch in the light.
“How’s that?” He asks, as he lifts her up and brings her to the couch.
“Well, we got married at the busiest time of year and I was certainly never good at organising or budgeting for Christmas and now our daughter’s born the night before. I’m not sure how we’re supposed to cope from now on.”
He kissed her cheek and tucked the pink blanket up around his little baby daughter before announcing, “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

i gave you my heart
A/N: Hi! Merry Christmas, happy Boxing day and happy holidays! (if you celebrate). I've really wanted to write something about Billy from Gremlins, and I've done it. So if I have any Gremlins fans among my followers or readers, congrats!!! Happy reading! Merry Christmas! Stay safe <3
christmas masterlist
main masterlist
warnings: bit of angst, talks of gremlins, nothing else.
word count: 2.9k
song recommendation: Gremlins soundtrack + Last Christmas by Wham! for the plot :)
She was just about ready to go home after finishing cleaning up the used rooms at the youth center, she only needed to lock the last one and get her coat from the empty wardrobe. Y/N was content, feeling festive and ready for Christmas Eve and morning, ready to go home and spend the holidays with her family. Working at the youth center was mostly a volunteered action from her, because she loved to give joy to those who don't feel it or can't have it in their lives. She loved to help, her heart was pure and giving.
But going home wasn't gonna be so easy, she realised. As she was walking down the hall towards the wardrobe, near the entrance, she heard screams and splashes coming from further into the building, and Y/N froze in her tracks. She was supposed to be alone here. Who else is inside? Is someone hurt? Has someone broken in? She slowly continued her way towards the wardrobe, hoping she'll grab her coat and exit YMCA unnoticed by whoever else is in the building with her. Y/N started to feel a little scared.
Suddenly, from the door to the pool and into the hallway she was standing in, shoes squeaking and hurried breath echoing through the otherwise empty hallway, emerged Billy Peltzer. Y/N would have screamed, but seeing Billy made her so puzzled and confused she couldn't make a sound. He didn't look much out of the regular, he had his usual winter jacket on and his backpack on his shoulders, but the look on his face was something out of the ordinary. Y/N had never seen Billy with fear in his face. Mostly, she'd seen him smiling, concerned or sad. Last time she saw him, he was happy and smiling, but the last time she really saw him and talked to him, he had sadness in his features. She remembered it well, how the emotion etched itself deep into his lineament and painted itself across his beautiful eyes. It was only a few Christmases ago.
Luckily, he had something to say to disrupt the tense silence created between them and their locked eyes. “Y/N! What are you doing here?” His voice was hushed and full of worry. He made his way over to Y/N, and only then did she notice that his backpack was open and there was something peaking out of it. Her eyes landed on a furry little animal with big eyes and huge ears. Her eyebrows raised. What is Billy up to in here? “Are you okay? What are you doing here?”
Seeing Billy so close to her suddenly, and so unexpectedly, was weird. Especially after she decided to write and send him a Christmas card this year, telling him, well, everything. It was a foolish decision, she knew it from the start, but she couldn't stop herself, she just had to do it. Looking into his eyes, and still not answering his questions, she wondered if he's read it already, or if he hadn't, and if he had, what did he think of it? She's certainly been stranded in an awkward situation on this year's Christmas Eve.
“Can you hear me, Y/N?”
“Y-Yes, I can.” She finally managed to say. Y/N noticed Billy had taken a hold of her hand as she looked down, and she quickly looked back at him. “I'm… alright. B…” She almost wanted to say his name, but it felt that she would add a great weight to it if she spoke it out loud. “But what are you doing here? It's Christmas Eve! And what's--” She didn't even know if she should say “him” or “that” or “her”, to address the little something in Billy's backpack, now looking at her with widened eyes over Billy's shoulder. Billy caught her stare and looked back at the creature.
“That's Gizmo, he's with me.” Billy gave a short answer which didn't help Y/N out much with understanding what this Gizmo was. He certainly looked cute, and not dangerous. She suddenly remembered about the sounds she heard not a minute earlier, the yells and splashes.
“I--I heard noises here. Was that you?” She questioned, her eyebrows now furrowed, and she finally gained the courage to look into Billy's eyes. They're still as capturing and familiar as they were the last time she was with him. He's still the same Billy.
“Sort of.” Billy answered, his voice sounding rushed and strained. “But look, we have to get out of here. It's not safe.”
“Why?” She immediately questioned, mistrust figuring in her voice. Then more splashing noises, as an answer to her question, started to come from the closed pool room. Besides water, she also heard boiling and growls and scrunches and all other sorts of strange sounds. Y/N was too afraid to walk into the pool room, and she figured what Billy said about this place's safety was true, and decided that she'd trust him. “Okay.” She agreed and they headed towards the exit. But before they went outside through the door Y/N noticed was broken, she took her coat and scarf from the wardrobe. She didn't want to freeze to death outside.
As they ran away, Y/N heard little mewls and whimpers from the creature Gizmo in Billy's backpack, and it seemed to her he'd soon fall out of it, in the incredible speed Billy was running with. She took little Gizmo in her hands and then caught up to Billy, running side by side with him. The falling snow was cold and painful against her bare hands and face, and the general cold temperature of Kingston Falls wasn't helping, either. “Where exactly are we going?” She asked him in a yell and tried to secure her scarf around herself and Gizmo for warmth.
“My house, my car, I figure.” Billy said between his rushed breaths. They're soon reaching the end of Billy's home street. Y/N smiled to herself, remembering that German beetle car his dad gave him for high school graduation, and how it seemed to never work when he needed it to.
“And then what? What was in the pool room?” Y/N paused. “What's going on?”
Billy sighed as they reached the car, and Y/N's question was still lingering in the air. Billy put his hand on the snowy roof of his car and looked at Y/N. “We need to warn people. The whole town is in danger.” He said and opened the car door to get inside.
“What?!” Y/N asked more herself, because Billy had already closed his door and didn't hear her. She decided to get inside, too, and she opened the passenger door and sat inside immediately. Gizmo cooed and purred in her hands, she could feel that the little guy was shaking, he was obviously scared, Y/N guessed, by whatever was inside the YMCA pool. Billy attempted to start his car as Y/N closed her door and got comfortable in the passenger seat with Gizmo in her hands. “Billy, what the hell's going on?” She repeated her earlier question, now more freaked out than before. She was in such a state of confusion, and she was a little scared by the creature in her hands, scared by Billy's behavior, scared by what could be in the pool. Billy succeeded in starting his car, and smiled to himself in victory. He looked at Y/N.
“I don't know how to explain quickly.” He said and turned on the radio, just a habit of his, she knew that well. Whether he was alone in his car or with someone, he always turned on the radio. Billy pulled out of his driveway, shaking him and Y/N and Gizmo back and forth in their seats.
“Try your best, cause I'm starting to get scared and I just want to go home!” She let panic into her voice by accident. Billy looked at her, worry across his features. No more fear, just worry. For her. For his hometown.
“You can't go home. Not while…” he sighed, “they could attack you, they could attack your mom, your dad, whoever they please.” He said and turned his eyes back to the road ahead. Y/N's eyebrows furrowed.
“Who, Billy, who could attack me, who are you talking about?” All her questions seemed to merge into one that sounded like a ramble, but she couldn't help it. And she knew Billy would understand what she wanted to know, anyway.
“Gremlins, Y/N.” Billy said and looked at her again. “Gizmo, who you're holding, he's a mogwai--”
“Mogwai?” She echoed. Gizmo echoed the same word in a high, squeaky, adorable voice and Y/N looked down at him in response with a nervous smile on her features.
“Yes. My dad gave him to me a few days ago. There are rules you have to follow to keep a mogwai, and it feels like I've broken almost all of them.” Billy kept explaining. “Bright light is dangerous for him, but sunlight will kill him, that's the first one. Don't get him wet, don't give him water to drink, don't give him a bath - cause it turns out, they multiply if they're wet.”
“Multiply - what?! Do they, like, mate or something?”
“Not really.” Billy shook his head. “It's hard to explain, but--they just multiply with water. And third one is to never feed him after midnight. Cause if you do, they'll hatch. Similar to a butterfly's stages of life.”
“Ah, from worm to butterfly.” Y/N said and Billy nodded along. They're halfway over to the sheriff's station. “Can Gizmo turn into a butterfly?”
Billy shook his head. “They don't turn into butterflies, they turn into these… strange creatures. I don't really know how to describe them, but gremlins seems to be the right word for how they look.” He said. “Basically, a few hatched--that's what they do if you feed them after midnight--at my house because Gizmo accidentally got wet, and they were different from him. And mom killed most of them, but one got away. He has a little white stripe in the middle of his head--”
“Stripe!” Gizmo squeaked out.
“Yes, his name is Stripe. I think he's the gremlins' leader or something, at least he seemed like one.” Billy said and shook his head again. Y/N's been completely silent while the boy talked, trying to connect the dots and stay in reality at the same time. Gremlins? Mogwai? Strange creatures? “Anyway, I followed Stripe into YMCA and he got into the pool, which means there could be… well, hundreds and thousands of them now.” Y/N uttered a whimper in the midst of her sigh. Billy gave her a momentary glance, still ever so worried about her.
“This is a lot of information to take in in five minutes time.” She said finally, after a while of silence. She kept holding Gizmo with one of her hands while she used to other to hold her head with. Billy wanted to say he's sorry, but for what exactly he doesn't know, because the gremlins have evil minds of their own, and it wasn't exactly his fault that Gizmo got wet. But he was sorry for how Y/N feels now, and he knew he's the cause of that. She accidentally got involved with him and this whole sticky situation. Billy didn't want to cause her anymore grief. What happened a few years ago was enough. He looked at her somberly. Her wish to be safe and to be home was well-visible in her eyes. “You said that… sunlight is deadly for them?”
“Light bright! Light bright!” Gizmo squeaked from Y/N's lap, and made her laugh. He's so cute, she thought.
“Yes. I haven't seen what happens, but dad said it'd kill them.” Billy said.
“So we should just… No, we can't wait. We have to get them someplace, all together, and keep them there until the sun rises, no?”
Billy shook his head. “We can't wait that long. They'll have destroyed the whole town by sunrise.”
“Damn.” Y/N cursed to herself. “God, Billy, what will we do?”
“We need to warn everyone and then we can do something, once everyone's inside.” Billy said. They finally reached the sheriff's station and Billy pulled into its parking lot, next to the sheriff's car. Silence erupted in his car when he turned off his engine and the radio, only Gizmo purring could be heard. There seemed to be a pause, a holding of breath between Billy and Y/N. They looked at each other. Billy looked pretty as ever to Y/N, his eyes determined and beautiful, still visible in the dark, and his lips slightly parted.
“Billy.” She softly whispered, afraid he'd actually hear her, and he did. Cause he turned to her in his seat, ready to hear whatever it is she had to say to him, or ask him. A million questions are running around in her mind, each one begging to be asked, spoken out-loud. She did want to know all their answers, but she didn't have that much time now. Their lives were in danger, their families, their whole town was in danger. This wasn't the time for sentimental questions about could-have-beens that could have been if some circumstances were different.
The event of a previous Christmas, which must have been two years back, sat in the back of both their minds. Though it was drawing closer to the front by each passing second since their meeting, rather reunion, in the YMCA building. Billy and Y/N each had their regrets about what happened, and suddenly those regrets, along with guilt, were coming back to the surface. Questions and reassurements were appearing in Billy's mind as well, and apologies and corrections, too. He had so much to say to Y/N, and she to him. They might die in the next few hours, for all they know, so why not say it all now?
“Did you… did you get my card?” Y/N asked in a soft, almost inaudible voice. Billy's lips turned into sort-of a smile. A polite one.
“I did.” He answered honestly with a nod. Y/N felt like her heart stopped in right that second. He read it? He read all of it? Tears gather in her eyes.
“Did--” she sniffled, and she felt Gizmo turning his head up to her and mewling softly, “did you read it?” Billy's lips turned into a smile. The answer seemed obvious, he nodded.
“Yes. Yes, I did.” He said and felt himself near tears, as much as he didn't want to admit it. Y/N's heart picked up speed, her eyes widened a bit. It felt like she couldn't breathe. What now? Ask more questions? Wait for Billy himself to say something? Billy shook his head and looked down. But when started to say something more, he looked at Y/N again. “You know, I… I was a bit of an idiot back in high school.” He said, guilt was written all over his face. “And reading your card… And seeing you almost every day in town--because, let's face it, our town is a small one--” Y/N laughed and brushed some tears away, “it just made me realise that more and more. And I thought, being such an idiot then, I thought I certainly don't deserve her now.” He looked right at Y/N. “I felt like I'd be too late, right guy, right feelings, just the wrong time, if I said something to you now.” He admitted. Y/N felt like she could fly right now, levitate six feet in the air. She couldn't believe she was hearing this from Billy. “It doesn't always work out right, situations like this, but… what you wrote… I know I'm not too late.” He said then. Y/N smiled a broken, tearful smile. She got so emotional because of her fear and confusion, all in under fifteen minutes. She would have never expected any of this to ever happen.
“You're not too late.” She assured him, shaking her head softly. Their eyes locked and they finally smiled at each other, their smiles were happy and born out of pleasant emotions and feelings. Love.
Billy leaned over his seat and the middle console, and pushed his lips softly onto Y/N's. She didn't mind, she kissed him back when she got over the fact that her long-term love, or the love of her life she would have called him, was kissing her, and he was kissing her for the first time and on his own accord. Her free hand entangled itself into his dark locks, it was something she'd always wanted to do, and now she had all the chances in the world to. Billy smiled when she did that, and kissed her again.
Gizmo mewled and chuckled from Y/N's lap, and brought the two out of their daze and their attention back to what's going on around them. Billy and Y/N chuckled and he couldn't stop himself from giving her another kiss on the lips before they separated and began to get out of the car. “Let's save the town first.” Billy said, both of them smiling. Y/N chuckled. “Afterwards, I'm all yours.”
Y/N laughed louder and made Gizmo smile with that. He cooed from his place in her warm hands and made the two teenagers laugh before they really got out of Billy's car. They walked to the sheriff's station hand in hand, looking at each other with pure, free love in their eyes. Maybe it won't be such a lonely Christmas after all, Y/N thought.

Hello everyone! I'm so happy to host a new event for my blog! It has been a while since I made one of these writing events, and I hope you will enjoy it! I've organized it to celebrate my blog hitting 4.7k followers!!! This is unbelievable, tbh, I have no idea what you guys are doing around here, but thank you so much for it anyway!!
So, for the coming weeks, I'll be writing your requests, that you can send me using the prompts I'm proposing in this post, under the cut! I hope you'll have fun!
Carole, what is going on now?
For this event, I'll be answering some prompts! The idea is simple: you choose one of the characters I write for and a few prompts, and I will write a one-shot for the character you have chosen, using the prompts you have chosen. You can also indicate more details that you would like to be included in your request (a specific AU or situation… ). It's super easy, and it makes you choose what I'll write for the next 2 or 3 weeks!
How do we request something?
In order to send a request, all you have to do is send me an ask through my inbox (please, do not use the dms, it is much harder to manage for me and I will probably forget about your request…). You can choose between 1 and 5 prompts amongst the prompts listed below the cut. The prompts are pieces of dialogue, and it will be my job to imagine a scenario where the characters use these lines. Choose also a character. It has to be a character in my masterlist (at the exception of Billy Russo and Regulus Black, their requests are closed). If you're a little shy, don't hesitate to switch on the anon function, I will still accept your request! Please, only ask for one request, because I want to write for as many people as possible.
And that's it! Super easy, isn't it?
A sum up?
In order to get a one-shot:
-Choose a character in my masterlist (except for Billy Russo and Regulus Black, their requests are closed)
-Choose between 1 and 5 prompts that you would like to see appear in your one-shot. There are 100 of them, and they are all gathered below the cut! No need to send me the whole prompt, just send me the number corresponding to your prompts!
-Send me a message through my inbox (no private messages)
-You can only make one request, so choose wisely ;)
-You can ask as an anon if you're a little shy
-I'll be working hard on your request, so a little nice message or at least a 'hello' would be lovely :)
The requests will be open for 48 hours (September 8 – September 10 2020), and they are open beginning… right now! The duration for the opened requests for the event might change, depending on how many requests I receive.
Please, be understanding that there is no way for me to judge if this event will be popular or not. If I receive too many requests, I won't be able to write all of them. I'm sorry if I don't have time to go to your request, please, be understanding if that happens. But maybe I'll have time to write all of them! It is hard for me to judge beforehand.
I hope you have fun with this event, and thank you all again for your support!
The prompts for the event are listed below. For a few of them, they might include several lines. All prompts are given a number, all you have to do is send me the number corresponding to the prompts you want, no need to type the whole thing in the ask.
Have fun!
NB: I have no idea why so many of those give off some serious idiots in love and idiots to lovers energy, but… it happened…
1."KISSES!"
2. "You are too far away."
"I am literally on the couch with you..."
"But are you in my arms? No. See? Too far away."
3. "If you weren't so cute, I would break your legs right now."
4. "Wait… are you jealous?"
5. "Stars and tequila. It's perfect."
"No. Stars, tequila and you. That it perfect."
6."I think I've made a mistake. Very big mistake. The kind that makes me wonder if I should escape to another country..."
7. "I WANT MY COOKIES!!"
8. "Maybe I love you a little too much, and that's why it hurts sometimes."
9. "Does it hurt?"
"Not that... OUCH!"
10. "I can't believe you got punched in the face."
"For you. I got punched in the face for you."
11. "It's dark, and it's late, and I'm cold and I'm drenched with this freaking rain and yet all I can think about is that I love you."
12. "I know you don't love me. It's okay. I will be whatever you want me to be."
13. "You don't need to love me for me to love you, you know? That's not how loving works. It would save us all from a lot of pain if it did."
14. "What do you mean you have a date?"
15. "I propose that we get excessively drunk and then ruin our lives as a consequence. Sounds good?"
16. "I'll always be here for you. Don't you know that by now? That I'll never leave?"
17. "I think we need... to make something explode."
18. "I'm pretty stupid, aren't I?"
19. "Huh... is that my shirt you're wearing?"
20. "I miss you. I hate it. I hate you. I love you."
21. "I'm proud to be with you."
22. "So... huh... are we gonna mention that you've just snogged me or...?"
23. "What do you mean lying to your family about us? What do you mean you need a 'plus one'?"
24. "I have only one thing to say: that is the stupidest idea I've ever heard. Let's do it."
25. "Huh... were you going to... propose?!"
26. "Will you marry me?"
27. "Look... I don't mean to be blunt but... you and me, it's a forever kind of thing. And there's no escape from that."
28. "Fate? Me loving you, you think it's fate? Nah, it's not fate. It's a choice. I choose to love you and to give you everything I own and everything I am every single day. And that's why what we have is true love."
29. "Do you have ANY idea of how worried I was about you?"
30. "I think you've just… puked on my shoes."
31. "I swear, if you die, I'm going to kill you."
32. "You're perfect."
33. "I love you. Do you think you could ever love me too?"
34. "Cuddles, cuddles, cuddles!"
35. "I'm sorry. For everything. I'm not going to ask you to forgive me though, cause I know that I don't deserve it."
36. "Just… shut up and kiss me."
37. "Please… stay."
38. "But if you leave now, what am I going to do with the rest of my life?"
39. "I don't want anything but you."
40. "You deserve so much more than what I can give you."
41. "I wish I did, but I don't deserve you."
42. "You make me so happy, it hurts a little."
43. "What if we don't make it?"
44. "Are you… are you bleeding?"
45. "I… I'm begging you… if you must kill someone, then kill me. But please, please… let him/her go."
46. "I can't lose you."
47. "What do you mean… you're pregnant?"
48. "You are so annoying…"
49. "You're an idiot. I love you."
50. "Don't leave me. Don't ever leave me…"
51. "Well… that was hot."
52. "So… good morning?"
"We're in the same bed. What the fuck are we doing in the same bed?!"
53. "I mean, we don't have a choice… there's only one bed. And I am not sleeping on that dirty carpet."
54. "Us being together, it's a terrible idea."
55. "LOOK! IT'S SNOWING!"
56. "This is the worst Halloween costume I have ever seen."
57. "Promise you'll always love me."
58. "I need your word. Promise me that you'll come back to me."
59. "So… does that mean… farewell?"
60. "I think we’re excellent at making memories.”
61. "Did you… did you sleep with him/her?"
62. "Where are you?"
63. "BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!"
64. "Dear God… I'm surrounded by idiots…"
65. "I don't want you to go with him/her. I want you to choose me instead."
66. "What if we stayed in bed all day?"
67. "You fool! Fear my wrath!"
"Babe, you're threatening me with a broccoli, it is not very convincing."
68. "Karaoke night!"
69. "I am full of surprises!”
“Sadly, yes, you are...”
70. "Dance with me. Please?"
71. "I would do anything to convince you to give me a chance."
72. "I know it's hard. I know that life keeps on getting in the way. But I love you. I love you with my entire being, and I'm willing to fight for you. I'm willing to fight to keep you."
73. "Are you… are you crying?"
74. "Stop stealing my blanket!"
75. "Happy New Year!"
76. "Merry Christmas!"
77. "Is that for me?"
78. "Happy birthday!"
79. "So… is that… a date?"
80. "What do you mean it was a date? It wasn't a date!"
"Of course, it was a date!"
81. "Well… that… was a good kiss…"
82. "I'm a complete moron! I'm an idiot! I am the epitome of stupidity! It took me forever to realize it, but now I see it, and I'll be damned if I let you walk away. Because it took me all that time to realize it, but I love you. I love you so much. It's always been you."
83. "Are you drinking my cocoa?"
84. "Please, just… hold me. Please, hold me close."
85. "I'm cold."
"I'll keep you warm."
"Nice try!"
86. "It hasn't stopped snowing. We're stuck. We're gonna die."
87. "I AM NOT DYING HERE! IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE! WITH YOU!"
"I know that the important information here is that we're gonna die, but I'm very upset that you don't want to do it specifically with me. Why not? I'm a dream!"
88. "Can I try some of your food?"
89. "I should have told you long ago."
"Tell me what?"
"That I love you."
90. "I am not going through a thirty-hours drive with you. There is absolutely no way."
91. "I used to hate you. Then, I simply disliked you. Now, I hate you all over again."
"Well, the feeling is mutual. But maybe it'll change."
92. "I really like you."
"I love you."
93. "Well, if you really were that clever, then you would know that I love you!"
94. "You have fever, you need to drink this. Come on, now."
95. "I just… I feel like I'm truly myself when I'm with you. I want to be myself when I'm with you. So now, if you're scared, don't call it love yet. But whatever you want to call it, it's incredible, and I'm not going to give up on this. I'm not going to give up on us."
96. "You're my home."
97. "Why is summer so hot?! I'm melting!"
98. "Have you ever felt like… memories get attached to a word and they almost change their meanings? Like… whenever someone says 'apple' I think of my grandma's pies, to the point that I almost forget that they're talking about the fruit. Well… your name… it's the same for love. When I think of love, I think of you."
99. "What wish did you make?”
“To spend the rest of my life with you.”
100. "If you only let me spend the rest of my life with you, I'd be happy with that. I don't ask for anything else, really. My life is complete as long as you're in it."

If There’s a Place I Could Be - Chapter Sixteen
If There’s a Place I Could Be Tag
December 31st, 1999
Emile was excited. It was the final minutes before midnight, before an entire new millennium started. Not many people would get to say they lived through that and remembered it, one day.
As the minutes turned into seconds, Emile and his family watched the ball get ready to drop in Times Square on TV. He couldn’t imagine what sorts of things would happen not only in the new year, but in the whole of the two-thousands. He knew he was going off to college in the fall of two thousand-and that was a weird thought, not have nineteen in front of the number-but there was so much he didn’t know about the future. And while that scared him a little, he was also incredibly excited.
When the ball dropped and his whole family cheered, Emile grinned. He couldn’t imagine what he’d be doing next year today, but he hoped it was something great.
December 31st, 2000
Emile drove into the complex’s parking lot with a smile on his face. He had told Remy that he would be coming back the second of January, but he had been planning to surprise Remy by coming home a little early. His parents had understood and let him go on the condition that he call them the morning of the first. The rest of his family griped a little but still let him go with minimal fuss.
Getting out of his car and grabbing his things from the backseat, he climbed the stairs to their apartment and knocked on the door. He could hear footsteps, and then the light by the peephole dimmed, and the door was opened by a very confused Remy. “Emile? You weren’t supposed to be back for another two days!”
“Yeah, well, I thought I’d surprise you, seeing as how it was your birthday and all. Didn’t want you to spend it alone,” Emile said, walking in and putting his stuff down in his room. He walked back out and noticed the TV along with the VHS player. “I was wondering if that was gonna be here or not.”
“Yeah, well, no point in buying you cartoons you can’t watch,” Remy said with a shrug. “I really like the jacket you got me.”
Emile’s eyebrows shot up. “You went to the shelter?”
“Wound up there after a bit of a walk,” Remy said with a shrug. “Helped with the lunch rush. Gave me something to do, and let me stop thinking about other things. Now, back to the original question: why are you here?”
“Like I told you, it’s your birthday, I didn’t want you to be on your own on your birthday, that’s just no fun!” Emile exclaimed.
“So you...drove two hours just to make sure I wouldn’t be alone?” Remy asked, eyebrows furrowing together.
“Yep!” Emile chirped. “Anything you want to do to celebrate? We could eat out for dinner tonight, I have a little spare cash.”
“No, no, hold up,” Remy said, holding up a hand to stop Emile from continuing to talk. “You. Drove two full hours this morning just so I wouldn’t be alone all day?”
“Technically it was more like two and a half. Traffic was killer,” Emile said with a shrug. “Why, is that a big deal?”
“Is it a big deal?” Remy repeated dumbly. “You’re giving up time with your family to be with me!”
“Yeah, I know,” Emile said. “I made the decision, Rem.”
“But...why? You don’t exactly get to see your family often,” Remy said.
“Yeah, and your birthday only happens once a year,” Emile said. “I wanted to make sure you had a happy nineteen.”
“...Am I really that important to you? That you’d give up more time with your parents just to celebrate my birthday?” Remy asked, his voice soft and small.
“Of course, Remy,” Emile said. “Of course you’re that important, you’re my best friend, and there’s no one I’d rather spend New Year’s Eve with.”
Remy walked over and hugged Emile tight. Slowly, Emile brought his hands up to hug Remy back. Hugs from Remy were special things, not to be taken lightly and rarely given out. But he always put his all into them. Squeezing tight, but not so tight that Emile couldn’t breathe. Sometimes he’d rest his head on Emile’s shoulder, and sometimes he’d whisper something he wanted to say to Emile, but was too scared to say aloud. “I love you,” Remy whispered. “I don’t know how else to say that. Not in a, ‘I’d date you’ way, you know? More in a...‘you’re my best friend and if anything happened to you I’d be devastated’ sort of way.”
Emile smiled and a chuckle slipped out. “I love you too, Remy.”
Remy held Emile tighter and Emile savored the sensation until Remy’s grip went lax, and they parted. Emile smiled softly at Remy, who was swiping the tears out of his eyes. “So, my question still stands: do you want to do anything for your birthday?”
Remy shrugged. “I guess dinner would be nice, yeah.”
“Then we’ll have dinner,” Emile said with a smile. “Anything you want to do until then? Do you have to work?”
“No, I don’t have to work, I’m not on Starbucks’ schedule today and the local shop is closed,” Remy said softly.
“Okay, that gives us the afternoon to do whatever you want,” Emile said.
Remy’s head dropped towards the ground, and Emile could tell he was choking back more tears when he asked, “Emile, I know you don’t want to be my therapist...but can I vent for a second?”
“Of course,” Emile said, putting a hand on Remy’s shoulder. “What’s wrong?”
“Toby...” Remy made a choked sound. “Toby doesn’t have our address. He doesn’t have my phone number. And I...I don’t have his. His ex-girlfriend apparently stalked him and he had to change it, and I obviously was not welcome back home at Christmas, so I couldn’t talk to him about that then...he’s gone, Emile. I lost all contact with him. I wanted to at least call and tell him Merry Christmas, but I didn’t get to, and I know that he doesn’t know where I am, but I was still hoping that somehow...somehow, he’d find out, and he’d be able to...to wish me a happy...birthday...but...” Remy was outright crying now, albeit trying to muffle the sounds. “But he can’t. And...and I don’t know what I’m going to do, Emile. We were never the closest brothers in the world, but he cared about me, he was my best friend, and...and I miss him...”
“Aw, Rem...” Emile bit his lip. “Is it okay if I hug you?”
Remy nodded and Emile hugged him fiercely. “This is not your fault,” Emile said with certainty. “And it hurts, and I know that the pain you’re going through must be overwhelming. It really, really sucks. But you know what? I’m sure that Toby is out there, somewhere, wishing you a Happy Birthday anyway. Even if he can’t call, and he can’t write. He knows it’s your birthday, and I bet he’s trying to psychically send good vibes your way.” Remy laughed at that, and Emile smiled. “You’ll be okay, Rem. It’ll hurt, but you’ll get through it. You’re impossibly strong.”
Remy nodded into Emile’s shoulder, and Emile just sighed into Remy’s. “You can hug me as long as you need, I really don’t mind,” he said softly.
They stayed like that for a long while, Emile hugging Remy as Remy quietly cried. He was mourning a loss, and Emile understood that. Remy would need time. And occasionally, this might resurface and he might get hurt again. But Emile swore that he would be there to help Remy as much as he could. After all, isn’t that what best friends did? They helped each other when they were hurt, they let each other cry, they shared secrets and ambitions and plans for the future. And while this may have changed Remy’s plans, Emile was certain that Remy could get through it.
When Remy finally whimpered out a, “I feel better now,” Emile let his hands drop and took a step back. Remy wiped at his eyes and heaved a sigh, but he seemed a lot more level. “Thanks, Emile,” Remy murmured. “I didn’t expect this to have as much of an impact on me as it did, but...”
“Hey, you’re allowed to feel what you feel, and however much you feel that is a valid feeling,” Emile said. “You’re gonna be okay, but it’s all right if you’re not okay right this minute.”
“You sure?” Remy asked uncertainly. “It’s really okay to...not be okay?”
“Yeah,” Emile said. “It takes a while to feel okay sometimes. That’s normal.”
Remy sniffled and nodded. “Okay then. If it’s...if you don’t mind, I’m gonna...uh, take a nap, I think. Just sleep some of the exhaustion off.”
“Yeah, knock yourself out,” Emile said with a smile.
Remy groaned. “That was terrible, Emile,” he grumbled, heading to his room.
Emile just laughed. “I’ll be watching She-Ra if you need me.”
Remy grunted and closed the door to his bedroom, and Emile grabbed his VHS tapes, putting one of them in the player and bouncing excitedly as it began to play the opening.
When two episodes had gone by, and Emile had seen neither hide nor hair from Remy, he knocked on Remy’s door. “Rem? You up?” He waited a minute, then knocked again. “Remy, can I come in?”
There was shuffling, and then the door opened an inch, Remy rubbing his eyes on the other side. “I was sleeping,” he grumbled.
“Yeah, it’s been an hour,” Emile said. “Your sleep schedule is already getting messed up by me letting you sleep that long.”
Remy grumbled again. “Want to sleep more.”
“Well, you can’t do that, but if you want, I have some novels I got at Christmas, you could go through those and figure out what you like?” Emile offered.
Remy grunted but left his room, which Emile counted as a win. He picked up the novels he had placed in his own bedroom and brought them out for Remy to inspect. “You can have your first choice, just don’t spoil anything for me.”
Picking a random book from Emile’s hands, Remy slumped to the floor and started to read. Emile rolled his eyes fondly and grabbed his own book to read, musing that they needed to invest in at the very least two chairs in terms of furniture.
They must have read for several hours, because when Emile came back to the world around them after finishing the novel, the sun was setting. Remy was still engrossed in the book he had picked out, and Emile lightly nudged Remy’s foot with his own. Remy quirked an eyebrow in silent question, glancing up from the book in his hands.
“Want to go get dinner now?” Emile asked. “Sun’s setting.”
“It’s winter, the sun sets at four in the afternoon.” A beat. “Sure, why not.”
“We don’t have to eat it right away,” Emile pointed out as they got ready. “We could get take-out.”
“Nah, if we’re gonna eat out we may as well actually eat out, as in, at the restaurant, you know?” Remy said.
“Okay,” Emile said. “Anywhere in particular you’d want to eat? Considering that lots of places would be closed on New Year’s Eve.”
Remy shrugged. “I know places that aren’t bars but have bars will be open,” he offered.
“What sort of places like that are there around here?” Emile asked.
Remy shrugged. “I’m not sure. We could always just drive around and look? I’ll help you with gas money in return for that.”
Emile hesitated. He didn’t want to just drive around for no apparent reason, but if Remy would pay for gas money... “Okay, fine, we can figure out a place to go by driving around,” Emile said, grabbing his car keys.
Remy hummed and paused. “Actually...”
“Actually?” Emile asked.
“I mean, we know the shelter’s going to be open, right? And the food there is edible, and the workers get to eat after they’ve helped with dinner,” Remy said.
“Are you suggesting that you want to volunteer at the shelter on your birthday, when you could be doing absolutely anything else?” Emile asked in surprise.
“It’ll give me a distraction,” Remy said. “Better than most things would. And I’d still get to talk to you, and we’d get to eat, and I’d feel a little accomplished for doing something today.” He paused. “Is that weird?”
“No, no, it’s not weird,” Emile rushed to assure him. “It didn’t seem like something you’d want to do on your birthday, but if you want to do that we can walk to the shelter and help out.”
“Cool,” Remy said. “I was wondering what it might be like to help alongside you, instead of when you’re not around, and this solves that mystery quicker, too.”
“Yeah,” Emile agreed. Inwardly, he felt a swell of affection for Remy. He was starting to learn how to care about other people, outside his circle. Even if it wasn’t often, even if it was about him and his questions, he was learning. And Emile was incredibly proud of him for that.

Nine Percent Scenarios My Brain Thought of based on the pictures My Brother Chose
Quick Note: so, since the first one did so well and I had several a lot of pictures saved on my Pinterest, I decided to let my brother chose which pic I should do a scenario of next XD Also, merry Christmas to those who are celebrating!! And sorry if some of these scenarios are well, not that good
Cai Xukun
CAN I FIRST SAY, WOW!! ONE OF THE FEW PICS I HAVE THAT IS ACTUALLY BRIGHT LOL, OKEY, ONTO THE SCENARIO
So, for this pic of Kun, I imagine that Kun had finally gotten a day off and booked a whole day just with you. Because he didn’t want to get disturb by the press (even though he loves his iKun), he invited you out for a morning sail. He even went as far as planned the whole day himself because he knew how much you would love it and how you were the one that normally do the planning whenever he got a chance to spend the day with you. Kun texted you the location and allowed you to wear any kind of clothing you’d like; even though he went the extra mile to wear a suit (BUT HEY, IT’S A SPECIAL DAY AND WHO’S JUDGING).
“No, don’t worry (Y/N). I didn’t wait that long. You look lovely, as always (proceeds to kiss the side of your temple)”
“Hope you’re fully rested, I have planned the whole day for us *wink wink*”
Chen Linong
OMO SOFT NONGNONG HAS RETURNED!! LOOK HOW SOFT HE IS!! UWU, I THINK IMMA HEAD TO DREAMLAND. EHEM, SCENARIO!!
So, for Nongnong, similarly to Kun, Nongnong finally gotten a day off to spend with you. So, Nongnong texted you, telling you to choose whatever it is you wanted to do which ofc, you were most excited for. You knew Nongnong for his sweet caring side and he would pay attention to every small details. So, to say you were shock when you found Nongnong waiting outside of your place the day of his day off was an understatement. But Nongnong was also shocked as you were because you looked absolutely stunning that Nongnong was just blankly staring at you; even when you were walking up to him.
“I didn’t expect you to come this early”
“Well, I didn’t expect for you to dress up. Not that I’m complaining or anything. You look absolutely stunning”
“Says the person who is wearing a suit today *giggles*”
“Huh? Oh? HAHAHA. C’mon? Ready to go?”
“Of course!!”
*insert Nongnong taking his elbow out for you to grab*
*also insert this author dying*
Fan Chengcheng
First and foremost, not gonna lie, this was one of the difficult ones to think about but I did think of one so here it goes!!
Alright, so for Chengcheng’s one, it may be a bit angsty (which I have never done, so forgive me if it sucks) BUT DO NOT FRET!! I THOUGHT OF A LIL FLUFF AT THE END!! So, I imagine that you and Chengcheng were best of friends. You were friends since junior high up till high school (right before he had to go for idol producer). Even though he seemed quite distant due to the rise of popularity, you were one of the only friends he still kept in contact with. His reasoning is because you weren’t like the other girls in the school who tried to get his attention to either date him or maybe even use his (okie, his sister)’s fame.
He may be a busy man nowadays but you guys still managed to talk; even till this day. Little did you know that there was another reasoning to why he still kept in contact with you, that he would spend just a little time to reply to you even if it is just a simple, “how are you?” or “how have you been doing?”. Because Chengcheng actually had a little crush on you right before he had to leave to compete for idol producer. Unfortunately, when he found out you had been going out with this guy you met at your campus, his hope of you having a crush on him was literally crushed.
To say Chengcheng was disappointed was not really true. Sure, he was broken but he partially blamed it on himself for not being brave enough to tell you how much he cared for you. Because of this, his actions even changed. He would rarely be seen in his happy state and would rarely make jokes. Even mama Ting was concerned for his well-being because he has been a mess ever since he found out. He even talked with you a whole lot less than he used to. Not wanting to reply you for a few days has been a new habit of his.
It wasn’t until one-day that mama Ting told him that he needed to go out and pick some groceries since his fridge was practically empty and he has been instant noodles (too often) for the past 3 months. Despite being lazy (especially, no thanks to the rain), Chengcheng finally pulled in the little will-power he had left and went to get the groceries mama Ting asked for. However, what he didn’t expect was on his way back home, he saw a familiar figure with a hoodie, walking right past him in the rain. Thankfully, he managed to caught a glimpse of the face and he was shock to see it was you.
The cheerful girl he knew back in high school, the one to always nag about his health (aside from his mom and mama Ting) was now walking in the cold rain with just a hoodie to shield herself. Chengcheng had no idea what had gotten to him that he decided to pull you under his very own umbrella.
All the sadness and frustration was washed away and was switched with worry. He asked you what’s wrong yet you didn’t dare to tell him and just let him know that you were fine. MISTAKE! Chengcheng finally stood up for himself and managed to bring you back to his place where mama Ting was waiting for.
After arriving back at his place, mama Ting was nearly going to scold Chengcheng for being so long until he saw you, dripping wet from top to bottom. So, mama Ting just let out a huge sigh and immediately “forcefully” (gently) pushed you to the bathroom, telling you to take a hot steamy shower as he was preparing dinner.
Once you were finally done with your shower and changed your clothes with some of Chengcheng’s clothes (aka big hoodie!!), you came out to both Chengcheng and mama Ting in the kitchen, slightly bickering. Noticing you were finally out, Chengcheng nudged you to come and sit by the countertop as mama Ting poured three bowls of soup with rice.
Though you were not ready to tell anything to Chengcheng, you were more than grateful that he brought you to his home and to Zhengting for cooking. Also for both boys not to pressure you to say anything. Once dinner was over, Zhengting excused himself to head back and told you that you should stay at Chengcheng’s place for a bit and if you wanted to go home, Chengcheng should take you home.
After Zhengting left, Chengcheng let you relax in the living room as he was going to shower. Whilst Chengcheng was showering, you looked around his apartment. Amazed how much he has changed from when you both were still in school. Though, he still made some mess just like back then. However, one little portrait caught your eye. It was an old photo of both you and Chengcheng when you both performed for your school’s talent show and won.
Suddenly, Chengcheng was out of the shower and changed into his pyjamas. He mentioned that that picture was one of the few pictures from his school day that he still kept. He mentioned that it was a precious day and meaningful to him. He then mentioned how he was extremely grateful to have you as his friend even till this day. Chengcheng then suddenly apologised for being a bit MIA the past weeks. He said that something came up and he had been quite busy.
Hearing what Chengcheng said about you made you decide to tell Chengcheng why you were walking through the streets in the rain. You told him that your relationship hasn’t been going well and this morning you found out that you were cheated on. So, you decided to just leave to who knows where fate may bring you. Listening to everything you said, Chengcheng felt even dumber for ignoring you the past few weeks.
Not wanting to hear about your ex, Chengcheng pulled you into a hug whilst you started to sniffle. Stroking your hair gently, Chengcheng finally admitted to you how he ignored you the past weeks because he was heartbroken that you were dating someone else. He then also admitted you that he has been having a crush on you right before he left to compete in idol producer. You then also admitted to him that you also had a slight crush on him but you didn’t think it was possible because it was the Fan Chengcheng here.
“Well, looks like we have a lot of catching up huh? But first, I’d like to find that bastard who hurt you”
WOW, THIS TURNED OUT A WHOLE LOT LONGER THAN I EXPECTED BUT I HOPE YOU LIKE THIS
Justin Huang Minghao
Alright, another slightly difficult scenario to make. Big thanks to my brother for choosing these pics :’) Anyways, I hope this scenario will be alright. Here it goes
For Justin’s scenario, I imagine that both you and Justin were playing in an escape room and the theme of the escape room was in an abandoned building/abandoned club. Both of you were going through it with no problem. Though both of you were scared by some of the npc, Justin had no problem with the situation and was more concerned of your well-being. However, when the situation came and the both of you were separated, Justin wasted no time in finishing his mission and finding you. But as it turns out, it was an ambush from a gang. This pissed Justin even more as he was part of a “gang” himself (*cough* 9% *cough*). When Justin did manage to escape, he found the gang and put a stop to them before they do anything much worse; also finding you and making sure you were alright.
“Never leave my side ever again (Y/N). I don’t give a damn about the rules because your safety is way more important than winning some game (insert Justin grabbing your hand and both of you walking out of the escape room)”
Lin Yanjun
OMO WHY IS IT THAT ALMOST EVERY PHOTOSHOOT YANJUN DOES IS JUST DAMN GOOD?! ALRIGHT, I SHOULD STOP RAMBLING AND GET ONTO THE SCENARIO I PLANNED FOR YANJUN!!
You and Yanjun have been in a secret (not to y’all family and close friends) relationship. At first, Yanjun was worried that the relationship won’t last long because he’s a busy man and rarely shows his emotions well (not to mention that he and the 9% bois are in a gang) . Instead, thanks to you, Yanjun has opened up more, even if it is about something small like his favourite bakery was out of his favourite bread. And now, the both of you are in your first year together. The both of you had promised to clear out your schedule and spend the whole day together. However, little did you know that Yanjun planned to surprise you by visiting you a few days earlier before your first year anniversary.
Yanjun was more than happy to be able to clear out his schedule for the whole week and surprise you. He even planned out the outfits he would wear for the week and gotten you a little present. However, all those happy imagination was instantly crushed the minute Yanjun arrived at your place that he would normally call his second home. The second home Yanjun would come to, always had a warm feeling but this time, he had a bad feeling just by arriving at the front of your door.
When he was about to unlock the door with the key you gave him, it was already somewhat unlocked. Worried that something happened to you, Yanjun instantly kicked the door, not worrying about having to get it fix later on. The sight that Yanjun saw was not a pleasant one as everything was basically upside down.
Without thinking, Yanjun shouted for your name, bashing down any door that was in the way. Unfortunately, the condition he found you was not what he had hoped. At first, there were traces of blood starting from your bedroom and up till the connected bathroom. Worried that someone else may be in there, Yanjun got his favourite gock ready and opened the door slowly, revealing a dead boy on the floor with you hugging yourself right in the corner of your bathroom.
In an instant, Yanjun put his gun back in his coat, kicked the dead body away and hugged you, not caring about the blood that is staining his body and clothing from top to bottom. After cleaning the place and you (because you could care less at the moment that Yanjun was seeing you bare skin, well let’s say you’re wearing a swimsuit to keep it pg), Yanjun helped you got change and carried you to bed, tucking you in ever so gently. Soothing you and not leaving your sight until you have fallen asleep. Once you did fell asleep, Yanjun contacted Nongnong (who just happened to be around the area), asking Nongnong to look after you which Nongnong didn’t question.
It didn’t take Nongnong long to come and at the same time, Yanjun had gotten the location of the people who pissed him that night. Yanjun asked Nongnong to take care of you as he’ll be out and won’t be bake till around dawn which Nongnong asked what was he going to do and Yanjun just answered with “blood for blood” and headed out, bringing his favourite gun.
Once Yanjun had arrived at the enemy’s location, he wasted no time and got to work. Surrounding the entire building with gunpowder, Yanjun moved backwards to the entrance before the building before firing a bullet, getting the attention of the people within the building, who were armed with whatever weapons they had.
The scene was intense up until Yanjun pointed towards the ground, firing this gun towards one of the men’s arm fire and it created an explosion, which is exactly what he wanted. The men who were now surrounded by the fire looked up at Yanjun who was leaning by the wall looking at all the men who were running around, some trying to put out the fire while others were helpless and some were even just staring at Yanjun. Because, they realised that they truly had mess with the wrong person (and gang!!).
“Such a shame that you had to ruin my day. Oh well, since I was partially in a good mood, the police will come soon. You all won’t die. But you better watch out for who you plan to attack next. Who knows that I may appear again”
P.s, again, sorry for being so long but I can’t help it uhuhu
Zhu Zhengting
Right, another slightly difficult photo my brother chose but I am up for the challenge so here we go!!
So, for this scenario, it seemed that mama Ting was either out of a hotel or airport so I figure I’d do a scenario about that. Let’s say mama Ting was hanging around at the hotel which he had just got to from an event. He was just scrolling through his phone and social media whilst waiting for the hot water to heat up so he can shower. However, he suddenly saw an insta story (let’s say it’s an insta story because I hv no idea what China has) of a friend of yours. You did mention to Zhengting that you were going out with your friends to loosen up which he didn’t mind and just reminded you to be careful. However, in your friend’s video (which your friend was slightly drunk and accidentally posted the video) you were by the bar (NOT DRUNK!!) and a guy was trying to hit on you which you clearly was not interested. But the guy was persistent and even touched your arm. This was a big no no to our dear mama Ting. And in an instant, he grabbed his things and went out the door, heading towards the club you were at.
“Who does that man think he is?! (Y/N) was clearly not interested and even pushed him away. The nerve that man has. Can’t even call him a man for that. I’ll show him what a real man is”
Wang Ziyi
Alright, I know I hv been saying this multiple times but I think out of all 9 pictures, this has got to be the hardest one. But here it goes
I think for Ziyi (especially this pic), I feel that something happened to you. Like let’s say you suddenly faint whilst doing your job or you had a slight accident where a car crashed into yours or even something like falling down the stairs and all of course, resulting in you having to be hospitalised. Your loving and caring boyfriend, Ziyi was on his way for an event when he heard the incident and instantly cancelled going to the even, rushing to whichever hospital you were in. After seeing you and was ensured by the nurses/doctors that you only had a minor injury, I feel that Ziyi would go to a quiet area and rethink about what happened and how he felt bad he couldn’t always be with you 24/7.
“Poor (Y/N), if only I can take her with me all the time. Or if only I can clone myself and teleport myself like Naruto”
SORRY FOR THE SLIGHT ANGST
Xiao Gui
Don’t worry, Xiaogui’s one won’t be about angst or yandere-ish kind. Instead, it’ll be slightly similar to the Yanjun scenario I did on the first part.
So, the 9% bois have finally gotten their hands on the opposing enemy who were caught at a bar (shockingly thanks to you because you were part of the 9% gang and you knew about the gang they were after). It was on your day-off and you were letting loose with your best friends who you haven’t been able to hang around with for quite a while when you saw the opposing gang that 9% were trying to catch just waltz into the bar you were in. Immediately, you took a snap and sent it to the group chat you were in. The bois not wasting any time and telling you to keep an eye on them whilst they were on their way.
As you were sipping on your drink whilst paying a close attention, you didn’t notice that one of the men went right next to you, trying to get your attention. You were taken aback when he fake cough and tried to do some pick-up lines which did anything but amuse you (or perhaps because you were used to Yanjun and Justin’s pick-up lines). As if on cue, the 9% bois made their entry and you hurriedly grabbed your friend and was about to leave the scene when some of the men grabbed you and your friend, now turning you to “hostages”.
Unfortunately for them, you knew some self-defense skills whilst being with 9% and managed to grab your friend out of the place. It wasn’t long before the 9% bois also got ahold of the situation and ahold of the men as well. And because you and Xiaogui were the first to hit off well when you met the bois, you both develop some kind of bond; which led him to be pissed when the opposing enemy grab ahold of you.
“Since you like to play around so much. How about we play one of my favourite games? Let’s see how long you can last”
You Zhangjing
Can I first say, wow, You Zhangjing looks so good in this pic. Look at that slight messy hair, his soft gleaming eyes, tinted lips and that suit <3 Alright, onto the final scenario
For this one, I was thinking of a lil drama. Let’s say you had this high school reunion dinner at a fancy restaurant and you were allowed to bring dates. So of course you brought your food loving boyfriend, You Zhangjing. You told Zhangjing about the event and without any doubts, Zhangjing immediately agreed to accompany you and even told you that he would pick you up on the night of the dinner.
Long story short, on the night of the dinner, You Zhangjing kept his promised and picked you up. Once both of you reached at the restaurant, almost everyone in the restaurant (even those who were there as normal clients, not your high school friends) were in awe when they saw both you and Zhangjing came in together, hand in hand. Mainly because you weren’t that popular in high school, you were just an average student with average scores who was lucky enough to got a chance to work with You Zhangjing and eventually became his girlfriend.
Of course you greeted your best friends and their dates, not forgetting to introduce them and Zhangjing. Dinner was also good, the food was amazing, you even reconnect with some of your high school friends. Everything was going well up when You Zhangjing told you that the both of you had to leave early due to an early schedule you both had the next day.
As you were excusing yourself to your friends and their dates, one of the mean girls from back in high school decided to end your wonderful night by “accidentally” poured her drink onto you. At first you were about to shrug it off and just excused yourself to leave. But when she started to comment about how you were just using You Zhangjing’s fame and popularity for yourself, always trying to make everyone pitiful of you, that crossed the line for you.
Sure, the both of you never really hit off well, but you never really held a grudge against her, despite the fake news she spread about you. You knew that after high school, no-one would care about it and even would forget about it; which is why you always held it in. However, now, as an adult who has been through so much to get to where you are, you were finally stepping up not just for yourself but for all of the other people she bullied.
You didn’t talk trash nor did you exaggerate what she had done back in high school because that’s not who you are. Instead, you told her that you actually felt sorry for her because she couldn’t accept the fact that there will always be other people better than she is and that instead of becoming the best version of themselves, she would throw out her tantrum to those who she think are inferior to her. With that, you walked back to your boyfriend who was standing in awe, clapping his hands before taking his elbow out for you to hold.
“I’m so proud of you baobei!! You tell em who’s boss!! Wanna go home and watch some movies whilst we eat ice-cream?”
“You just read my mind Zhangjing”
*insert Zhangjing pecking your cheek* UWU
Hope you like these scenarios, I know some are longer than others and I hope that I would do more longer ones. Anyways, merry Christmas all!!

I’m Begging You, Please
For @theorangedeath who requested “"I'm begging you. please." with winterhawk?” Also featuring Clint’s birthday :) Probably 18+? We’ll say yes just to be safe.
***
“I don’t want to go,” Clint say. Whines, really. He’s annoying himself, honestly, but it’s true. He doesn’t want to go. He hates weddings. Hates getting dressed up, hates the forced conversation, and really hates the crappy food. He’d rather be at home, practicing archery or playing with Lucky. “Natasha. Please don’t make me go.”
Natasha straightens his tie. “We’re going,” she says. “You’re my date. It’s not negotiable.”
Clint makes another noise of protest, which she cuts off with a single glare. He glares back, matching her gaze for gaze. They stand there like that for a moment, pressed together, locked in a little battle of wills.
Then he looks away, because she’s way scarier than he is, and she smiles. “Good boy,” she says. “Now. Go get your shoes on. The black ones I set out for you.”
Clint scowls at her, but does as he’s told. What the hell else would he do?
Three hours later, standing uncomfortably in a table in the corner, he’s wishing he would’ve argued a little more. Or at the very least, negotiated an exit time. Natasha is still floating around the room, looking very happy as she chats with various people. Occasionally she looks in his direction with a little glare, which he knows means stop being a recluse and go talk to people. But fuck her, he’s not gonna do it. If she wants him to be social, she can damn well come over here and make him---
“Hey.”
Clint jumps and turns to see some guy standing at his table. “Hey,” he says back, trying to look casual and not like he wants to stare forever. Christ, this guy is hot. Jaw-dropping hot. He’s in a navy jacket and tie, with a lighter colored shirt that just emphasizes how blue his eyes are, and that jawline---
Clint clears his throat and offers a hand. “I’m Clint.”
“James.” The guy shakes it. “You here alone, or...?”
“No, I’m with a friend. She got invited and kind of threatened me into being her plus one. You?”
“My sister’s the bride. I’m here out of family obligation.”
“Congratulations.” Clint looks at the bride. “She looks very happy.”
“Thanks.” James taps his fingers on the table. “So, Clint, what do you do when you’re not forced to attend weddings?”
“I own an archery course, and I teach classes.”
“Archery? Really?” He sounds both baffled and intrigued.
“Yeah.” Clint shrugs. “It’s not much, but it’s fun and it pays the bills.”
“I’ve never done archery,” James says. “I was a sniper in the Army for about four years, but we just had to use guns like regular peasants.”
Clint laughs. “Shame on them,” he says. “Archery is clearly the superior technology.”
“Clearly.” James smiles. “Want something to drink? It’s an open bar.”
“Something with whiskey?”
“Sure.” James turns and walks away, and Clint definitely does not stare at his ass as he does so. Not even a little bit.
James returns after a few minutes and pushes a glass towards him. “Merry Christmas.”
“Happy birthday, actually,” Clint says. He takes it, wondering if James can feel the electricity where their fingers brush, or if it’s just him. “Thanks.”
James tilts his head. “It’s your birthday?”
“Sure is.” Clint takes a drink of whatever’s in the glass---just Coke and whiskey, judging by the taste, but it’s good anyway. He’s always like the classics.
“Oh.” James frowns. “Then why are you here?”
“Because Nat made me, and I had no other plans.”
“No plans on your birthday?”
“It’s just another day, really. Not that important.” Clint waves a hand. “My family didn’t celebrate as kids, and I never really kept track of them anyway. Besides, it’s an open bar here, so at least I can drink for free.”
James looks like he’s going to argue, then says, “Okay, yeah. That’s a good point.”
Clint raises his glass. “I have my moments.”
He takes a drink. James watches him, eyes contemplative, a small smile playing at the corner of his mouth as he takes Clint in. It’s a good look on him, Clint thinks. A little sexy, a little mysterious. He likes it.
He sets the glass down and runs his finger around the rim. “Not for nothing, but the last person who looked at me like that ended up in my bed a few hours later.”
It’s way more brazen than he usually is, and Clint’s not sure what reaction to expect. Maybe a blush, or a laugh, or an awkward shuffle or something. Definitely not for James to lean forward, raise an eyebrow, and say, “Is that a challenge?”
“If you want it to be.” He holds James’s gaze, suddenly feeling warm all over, and not just from the alcohol. There’s a tension between them. He can almost taste it. He wants more of it.
Maybe coming here wasn’t such a terrible idea after all.
James steps forward slightly, just enough to be a little too close. His fingers reach out and straighten Clint’s tie, and Clint swallows nervously, wondering what those fingers would look like tangled up with his own, or undoing buttons on a shirt, or wrapped around his---
“Clint,” says a voice behind them, and Clint looks over James’s shoulder to see Nat. She waves her keys. “Ready to leave?”
“Uh...” Clint looks at James, who smirks a little and turns to face her. As soon as his back is turned, Clint makes a little shooing motion at her. He knows she sees it, but all she does is smile slightly.
“Natalia!” James says, suddenly sounding delighted. He steps forward and wraps her in a hug. “I haven’t seen you in years.”
“Hey, James,” she says, smiling at him. “It’s good to see you.”
James wraps an arm around her shoulders and turns to face Clint. “I didn’t realize she was your date,” he says. “You should’ve said something.”
Clint shrugs. “Didn’t know you knew each other.” He levels Nat with his politest please leave right now face. She smirks and shakes her head slightly.
“Natalia and I go way back. She and my sister used to follow me around all the time.” James pokes her arm. “You had the biggest crush on me too, remember that? I think I still have that card you gave me, the one where you wrote that poem---”
Natasha extracts herself smoothly from James’s grip. “I do remember,” she says, and it’s only because Clint knows her so well that he can see how uncomfortable she suddenly is. He bites his cheek to keep from laughing. “Long time ago, though. I’ve moved on.”
“You look good,” James tells her. “I’m glad you could make it.”
“Me too.” She kisses his cheek. “Clint, I’m going to go.”
“Fine,” Clint says. “I’ll get a cab or something, don’t worry about me.”
Natasha nods and gracefully exits. Clint keeps it together for all of five seconds before he starts laughing. “Thank you so much for that,” he says between gasps. “I can’t tell you what that whole scene just meant to me, but I loved every second of it.” He never gets to see Natasha off balance; it was glorious. He wants to remember this forever.
“She interrupted us,” James says, picking up Clint’s drink. He finishes it off, and looks so damn good doing it that Clint can’t even bring himself to be annoyed. “She deserved every second of it.” He grins. “Consider that your birthday present.
“Best present ever.” Clint says, getting himself under control. “If you do still have that card, I need to see it. I am begging you, please. It’s very important.”
“I could probably dig it out.” James steps back into his space again, runs a finger under the collar of Clint’s shirt. “You’ll have to come back to my place, though. If you want to see it.”
“You drive a hard bargain.” Clint puts his hand on James’s waist, pulls him a little closer. “But I suppose I can deal with that.”
“Good,” James says, and he draws Clint into a kiss. There’s still a hint of Coke and whiskey to him, a subtle sweetness that Clint wants to taste forever. They kiss until they’re both dizzy with it. Then they break apart, and Clint realizes his hand is grabbing more ass than is really appropriate for a public space. He flushes a little and lets go.
“We should leave,” he says to James. “Before things get out of hand.”
“Sounds good,” James says, a little breathless. He clears his throat and reaches into his pocket, pulling a car key. “I’ll drive.”
“Lead the way,” Clint says, and follows James out of the reception hall.

New Beginnings for Christmas
“Everyone, can we get back to work?” Alec stood in front of the staff as they stared in rapture at the TV.
A few of the servers looked at him in embarrassment, but most stayed enraptured with the screen. More precisely with Magnus Bane, the celebrity chef who was winning another competition he had participated in.
Magnus grinned at the judges then threw a wink to the camera’s before giving a flourishing bow. Alec noticed he was shaking hands with the contestant he beat as he clicked the TV off. A couple of people groaned but after the look he gave them they ducked their heads and got back to work.
“Hey, come on bro. We’re all just getting a little break.” Jace grinned at him and punched him lightly on the shoulder.
“Yeah, yeah. Well the rush is about to start, Jace.” Jace laughed and pushed him lightly before moving back to the bar.
——
Alec enjoyed his work. Sometimes he felt like he was wasting his talent, his ambition in a way. He had had so many plans and hopes, but now he was living in the same town he grew up in, still working for his parents, no ambitious plans to speak of.
Despite the negatives, being the manager was fulfilling in its own way. His parents had taken a step back after he had been back and running the restaurant for about 6 months. They still oversaw financials, general decisions, and everything to do with the rest of the resort, but they let him deal with the restaurant how he saw fit. He had helped it come from a decent place to well loved.
Making sure customers were happy, that everything ran smoothly, and that every night was successful gave him something to look forward to. His future plans were making sure the resort cafe was the best place in town, and all the surrounding areas too.
Alec let himself get lost in the rush, solving all the little problems that came up on a daily basis. When there weren’t fires to put out, (mostly metaphorical, one time they let Izzy try to help and that was something never to be repeated. All staff were instructed that she wasn’t allowed to help in the kitchen, even though it had been a few years since she had been home. She tried to help when she was visiting, unfortunately. Even her being in the kitchen seemed like a recipe for disaster) he was dealing with average administrative tasks or helping out at the bar.
One of the servers came up to him, “Alec? Maryse wants to talk to you before you leave.”
Alec realized that the rush was finally slowing, and when he looked at the clock it was getting close to 10. “Got it.” The server rushed off and Alec sighed as he sent out another couple of orders. Meeting with his mother was almost always a painful experience.
——
“Mother.” Alec knocked on the door frame. His mother was in her usual place, filing out paperwork and ruling her kingdom.
She looked up at him, “Alec, come in. Sit down.”
He sat in one of the fairly uncomfortable chairs waiting for her to finish. He was itching to go back and oversee the final closing of the kitchen, but putting off talking to his mother never really went well.
She finally finished whatever paperwork she had been filing out. “As you know, our head chef is inexperienced. With the holidays coming, we’ll have a much larger influx of customers.”
“I know. Underhill is doing really well, he’s picked it up fast. I’m sure we’ll be able to handle it.”
“Perhaps. However, your father and I aren’t willing to take that chance. We’ve hired a new head chef for the season, he will be taking over the restaurant, we expect you to make sure he is completely acclimated before the true chaos starts.”
“Mother, Underhill can handle it. I don’t need someone new in my kitchen. They’ll cause more chaos than anything.”
“This isn’t up for discussion. They’ll be here on Monday. Figure it out Alec. We need this.”
Alec gritted his teeth but nodded as he stood up and left the room. Sometimes his parents were the worst.
——
He waited through the end of the weekend, trying not to think too much about what Monday would bring, and who this random chef was. Despite his dread, Monday crept up on him. He was working on prep work just before noon as Underhill went over prep in the kitchen.
“Knock, knock.” Alec heard a voice he didn’t recognize, and he sighed internally. People never seemed to get the closed sign. Someone must have forgotten to lock the door behind them when they came in for work.
Alec turned around and was immediately glad he wasn’t eating anything, because he probably would have choked on it.
The man was in front of him beautiful. Magnus Bane was standing in his restaurant. Magnus Bane. Alec had seen images and videos of him before, but they had nothing on him in person. Spiked hair, eye makeup of some kind, but more than all the outward appearance, it was his presence. He had an easy posture and a smile on his lips.
“Hi, I’m Magnus Bane. I’m looking for Alexander Lightwood?”
“Uh, yeah, that’s uh, that’s me. Can I help you?”
“I’m the new head chef. I assume you were told about me?”
“You’re the new chef?”
“Yep.” He popped the p. He walked over closer to the table where Alec was working, leaning on the table. Alec couldn’t help but notice his very attractive forearms as he leaned towards him. “And you’re the manager right?”
“Yes. Sorry, I wasn’t told it was you.”
“Well that’s awkward, hopefully you like what you see.” Did Magnus just wink at him?
“Yeah definitely. I mean, well, you’re a good chef.” Alec felt his whole face turning absolutely red.
Magnus smiled kindly, ignoring the stuttering, red mess he was becoming. “I’ve heard good things about your resort, I look forward to working here.”
“Let me show you around.” Alec took a deep breath and pushed his emotions down, like he was so used to doing. He had repressed his emotions for years, what was a couple of months? Famous last words.
——
Working with a new head chef was both better and worse than Alec had expected. Magnus quickly took control of the kitchen, he was professional, experienced, and amazing under pressure. He had worried about Underhill chaffing under the change in command structure, but Underhill was pragmatic in most circumstances. He accepted his new position as sous chef with minimal problems.
Most of the kitchen was accepting of Magnus. The issue was that Magnus was so different. He was flamboyant and excitable. He stayed focused in the kitchen but there were so many extra flourishes, a bright smile, and he was always wearing glitter, Alec didn’t know how to handle it.
And he was so freaking attractive. It wasn’t fair, Alec wasn’t sure why Magnus affected him so much, but it was ridiculous.
Alec could avoid him a lot of the time, his focus was in the front and Magnus was almost exclusively in the kitchen.
“Hey, Alec.”
“Yeah Jace?”
“Those girls over there want to talk to the manager.” Jace gestured to a table in the corner, 2 women who looked more than a little drunk, but at least they seemed like giggly drunks instead of angry ones.
“Got it.” Alec made his way over and put on his customer service smile. “Hi, how are you both tonight?”
“We are so great, thank you! I’m Ashley.” She was smiling so much it was making Alec’s cheeks hurt. She waved to her friend, “And she’s also Ashlie, isn’t that so funny? She spells it ‘ie’ though so we’re still different. We just met today at the spa. Which was so needed I can’t even tell you. And the views, ugh, it’s beautiful here.”
The other Ashlie cut in before she could continue her rant. “We heard that Magnus Bane is here, he’s the new chef right? Can we talk to him?”
“Of course, let me check and make sure he’s not too busy.”
“Oh we can wait.” Ashley looked like she was about to jump out of her seat, but luckily restrained herself.
Alec nodded to the two girls and went into the kitchen. Magnus was busy plating food, but looked up when Alec entered. He was clearly about to hand Alec food, assuming he was a returning server, but quickly aborted the motion.
“Alexander, what can I do for you?”
“There are two girls at table 7 that want to see you, I understand if you’re too busy though.”
“Nonsense. I’m never too busy to meet fans.” Magnus finished his task, wiped his hands and followed Alec back into the common area. Alec returned to his job but couldn’t help his focus staying on Magnus. Even just watching from the back, the girls were clearly head over heels and Magnus was as gracious as he always was.
The first Ashley handed Magnus a piece of paper which Magnus tucked into his pocket. Of course she was interested. Who wouldn’t be? Alec tried not to think too much about the sinking feeling in his gut. It definitely wasn’t because he knew that Magnus would obviously be interested in someone else. Ashley was bubbly and pretty, perfect for Magnus, and everything Alec wasn’t.
——
Magnus had been working there for almost a month and was adjusting well. Alec could admit that it was a good thing his mother had hired him. Well, good for the restaurant, not so good for him.
He was there late one night, finishing up the never ending paperwork. He heard a scuff of shoes nearby and before he could look up heard “Alexander! I’m surprised that you’re still here.”
Alec saw Magnus in the doorway to the kitchen, and he grinned at him like he always did. Alec smiled back tiredly. “Yeah, I just have things to finish up since it’s been so busy the last few days.”
“Well, I was about to close up the kitchen, but I bet you haven’t even eaten yet, have you?”
“No, but it’s fine. I’ll grab something at home.”
“Alexander. It’s midnight, who knows the last time you ate, and I need dinner anyway. Let me make you something.”
Alec was about to deny him again when his stomach let out a growl. Unfortunately Magnus heard it. He didn’t say anything, which was a small blessing, he just raised a single teasing eyebrow like he knew Alec was going to say no.
“Only if you let me help.” Alec tucked all the paperwork together as he stood, he had mostly caught up so he could leave the rest for the next day.
Magnus grinned again, brighter then before. “Ooh, the manager cooking, I do have one question before we proceed.” He started pulling out some of the leftover ingredients that wouldn’t be up to standard to use the next day anyway. “Is your cooking anything like your sisters?”
Alec laughed in surprise. “Nothing at all. How do you know about Izzy’s cooking though, she’s not even home for the holidays yet?”
Magnus laughed along with him as he handed him a knife for the vegetables. “Well, I was warned almost immediately. The stories are clearly exaggerations, but every cautionary tale has an element of truth.”
“I wouldn’t be so sure that they’re exaggerations. Jace and I got food poisoning from her. Twice. Jace has actually gotten it three times, I learned my lesson though.”
“Jace. Blondie? The server?”
“Yeah, we adopted him when he was 10, so he was there for all of Izzy’s cooking attempts.”
Magnus looked pleased for some reason. “I didn’t realize that he was your brother.” Alec hummed because he didn’t know how to respond but then Magnus kept talking. “You clearly know your way around a kitchen, pretty boy.”
Magnus took the perfectly minced onions and vegetables from him to add to the pan. Alec hoped his blush wasn’t glaringly obvious. He scratched the back of his neck, wishing he had stopped that nervous tick years ago. “Yeah well someone had to make sure my siblings were all fed. I started with basic stuff so Izzy wouldn’t keep trying to feed us. After a while I got bored so I tried other things and realized I love cooking.”
“Do you still cook often?” Magnus kept an eye on him while also stirring the concoction of vegetable and chicken in the pan in front of him.
“Sometimes. It’s just me and Jace now since we moved out, so I don’t cook anything fancy. I haven’t cooked much since I came back I guess. Jace is decent at cooking so between the two of us and work I haven’t needed to.”
“Came back?”
“I went to Chicago for a while.”
“Oh?”
Alec realized he hadn’t had to tell anyone his history in a very long time, everyone either already knew or didn’t ask. It was harder than he thought. “I came out to my parents the same day I told them I wanted to open my own restaurant. They weren’t happy with either so I left. Chicago seemed like the best option at the time.”
“Can I ask why you came back?”
“It just didn’t work out. Crappy relationship and failed restaurant. My parents lost their manager at the same time, so I came back to work for them again. It’s better than it was, I run it and they basically leave me alone. And they might not be happy about me being gay, but at least my mom hasn’t tried to set me up with a woman since I’ve been back.”
It was hard to tell Magnus all of that, to pretend like it was all okay. Except that Alec realized that it was okay. It still stung, but he was healing. His life hadn’t gone where he wanted, but it was still good, miles better than he ever thought he would have in middle school. Alec realized he felt optimistic for the first time in a long time.
Magnus was quiet for a minute. “I’m sorry you had to go through that. Thank you for sharing that with me.”
Alec’s natural hatred for sharing and being vulnerable reared its head enough that he decided changing the subject was best for everyone.
“What about you? Why did you decide to take a small resort job?”
“Well, I wanted a change. My show contract has ended and I’ve heard good things about this place.” Magnus handed him a plate of food and changed the subject. The food was so amazing that Alec almost didn’t notice. But there would be time for deep conversations later if this was going where he thought it was.
They had a wonderful dinner, full of easy conversation and Alec felt like layers were slowly being pulled back. Magnus had always had the aura of someone easy to talk to, and Alec knew he was attractive immediately, but now Alec got to know the Magnus that was more hidden. He was still bubbly and flirty, his stories had Alec trying to eat without choking on his food laughing. But he also listened intently to Alec, seemed interested in him, in a way he hadn’t seen since Chicago, maybe ever, from anyone besides his siblings.
Alec was falling fast, and he wasn’t even sure it was a bad thing. The flirty TV persona seemed to fade away slightly and Alec couldn’t believe that someone like Magnus Bane seemed to like him.
After cleaning up their small mess Alec found himself fidgeting with his sleeve. “Magnus?”
“Yes, darling?”
Alec knew he blushed at the endearment, but he powered on. “I normally take the bus back if Jace is already gone, but I’m pretty sure there are no buses left. Would you mind giving me a ride? If not I can always call Jace.”
“Nonsense, I’d love to give you a ride home.”
They drove in fairly comfortable silence, Alec found himself watching the stars out his window. They were so much clearer up in the mountains, it was one of the things he loved about coming home, Chicago had been fun, but stressful and crowded in a way that he didn’t always like.
His thoughts drifted to Magnus and Alec wondered how he could ask him out. This had been a date right? It felt like a date, it felt so different then having dinner with his friends.
Magnus pulled up at his house and Alec released his seatbelt but turned to the other man and his heart stuttered a little bit. The gentle streetlights illuminated Magnus unevenly and it felt magical.
Magnus looked at him and somewhere in Alec’s mind he wondered if Magnus ever got glitter in his eyes. There was glitter covering his eyelids, which was not unusual but after such a long day it wasn’t as neat as it normally was, and there was some falling onto the top of his cheeks. His eyes were a deep brown and in the dim lighting Alec almost couldn’t see the difference between his pupils and the irises.
Alec felt his breath catch in this throat, his limbs weighed down by an invisible force. He was hyper-aware of his whole body as he leaned forward very carefully. Time was slowing down, and what was left of his rational brain saw that Magnus was leaning towards him too.
He stopped seeing right before their lips met, and it was so breathtakingly nice. It was soft and gentle. Magnus was a very good kisser, their lips seemed to match, the perfect rhythm as they kissed slowly. Alec brought one hand up to Magnus’s shoulder, and Magnus brought a hand up to his jaw. After an eternity, or maybe a few minutes, they separated.
Alec smiled at him and felt himself start to blush. He had kissed Magnus Bane. Beautiful, talented, amazing, famous, Magnus Bane. “I can’t believe I’m kissing a celebrity.” Alec leaned back in for another kiss.
Their lips met for only a second before Magnus pulled back and turned away. Alec’s hand slipped off of his shoulder, and he felt his stomach drop a little. “Are you okay? Is something wrong?”
Magnus shook his head but didn’t look at him. “I’m sorry, I don’t think this is a good idea.”
“What? But, why? Because of what I said?”
“This was just a mistake.”
“Magnus, I didn’t mean it like that. I just, I meant like I couldn’t believe it. In a good way.”
“Good night, Alec.”
The sinking feeling in Alec’s stomach accelerated to his gut completely bottoming out. Something had gone highly wrong and he didn’t know how to fix it. Magnus hadn’t called him Alec possibly ever.
Alec left the car and walked back into his house, not giving Jace more than a grunt when he asked why he had been gone so long.
Alec threw himself into work with a vigor. The busier he was the less time he had to think. Jace knew something was up, but couldn’t seem to figure out what it was. Or maybe he did, the teasing comments about how attractive Magnus was completely stopped.
They were finally at the week of Christmas and Izzy came home which was a bright spot in his otherwise bleak world.
She knew something was up, but since Alec wouldn’t talk about it and Jace didn’t know much, she seemed to be leaving it alone.
Christmas Eve Eve Magnus kept trying to corner Alec. What he didn’t know is that Alec had years of practice avoiding his parents, so he was very good at being elsewhere.
“Alec. Alexander. Can we talk?”
“I’m really busy right now Magnus, sorry.” Alec brushed past him and found something to do to make himself look busy.
Magnus watched him in frustration but then Alec was gone. He had made a fool of himself and Magnus thought he was a fame seeker, there wasn’t much left to salvage of whatever they had started.
Izzy hung around that day, luckily no one let her cook, but she spent her free time bugging Jace and Alec or talking to friends during their breaks. During Alec’s short dinner break Izzy cornered him. Magnus might be bad at it, but Izzy was better at catching Alec than he was at avoiding Maryse.
“Okay big brother. Spill. What happened with you and Magnus?”
Alec jerked away from her in surprise. “What makes you think anything happened?”
“I have my sources, hermano. You guys spent weeks making googly eyes at each other, then suddenly you won’t be in the same room as him. I’ve been told he’s been trying to talk to you for days. So what’s the problem? He’s attractive, smart, talented, and interested in you.”
“No he’s not Izzy. Just drop it.”
“I could tell he was interested the second you two were in the same room. So?”
“I said something stupid and he freaked out. I’m not dealing with that again Izzy. My boyfriend in Chicago would overreact and blame me for every little problem, I’m done.”
“You need to talk to him, I can tell you’re hurting. Maybe he’ll apologize. If not, you have closure and you’ll know you were right.”
Alec sighed and stood up. “Fine. I have to get back to work.”
Magnus found him at the same table he had been at last week, but this time Alec couldn’t even pretend to focus on paperwork.
“Isabelle said you would be willing to hear me out?”
Alec gave a short nod.
“I wanted to apologize Alexander. I was wrong to push you away. I overreacted to what you said and didn’t stop to think.” Magnus looked lost, something Alec wouldn’t have expected.
“Why did you? Yeah maybe it wasn’t the best thing to say, but it just came out wrong. It’s not like I’m interested in you because you’re famous.”
“I know, I thought about it all that night, and the next day. You aren’t the kind of person to pursue someone for fame or money. I don’t know you well, but I know you enough to know I shouldn’t have judged you so quickly.”
Alec nodded but he wasn’t sure where to go from here, the fragile thing they had been building was broken. Things were different now. “Do you want to sit down?”
Magnus sat across from him, slightly more at ease. “You asked why I came here. Yes my contract ended, but that wasn’t the main reason. I was in a relationship in New York. A beautiful model, Camille Belcourt.”
Alec didn’t know any models, but he vaguely recalled seeing pictures of Magnus with a beautiful woman.
“She broke my heart. Cheated on me in fact. I realized she was dating me for my money and status, she didn’t really care about me. But she pretended she did. She was a wonderful actress. I got scared when you said that. Alexander, I knew you were different, but I was so scared I was wrong again.”
“Magnus, you know I don’t think about stuff like that. I don’t care if you’re famous, I just like you.” Alec rubbed the back of his neck. “I just don’t see why someone like you would be interested in someone like me. I’m nothing special.”
“Alexander, you are incredible. You’re beautiful, you’re talented, loyal, and lovely. I don’t know you nearly as well as I want to but it’s been a very long time since I’ve wanted to understand someone so much. I want to get to know you, I want this to be something more. If you can forgive me.”
Alec found himself blushing and smiling all at once. “I think I can do that.” He stood up and moved around the table to stand by Magnus. Alec reached out slowly to grab Magnus’s hand that was resting on the table. “I want this to be something more too.”
Magnus stood up and Alec couldn’t help but notice how he had to look down to see Magnus’s eyes. The brown was mixed with gold at this distance, with barely a hairsbreadth between their bodies.
“Magnus, can I kiss you?” It came out as hardly more than a whisper.
Magnus smiled the smallest amount, before stretching up to meet his lips. Alec met him with enthusiasm, his free hand moving to hold his waist. They were in sync, and it wasn’t hurried, because they had time. They had time to talk, to get to know each other, to deal with their pasts. They had time to fall in love, and time to learn every inch of each other. The first kiss was wonderful, but this one was even better.

Nervous Regrets - Tyler Seguin - Part 22
Word Count: 6489
POV: Reader
Warnings: None
Notes: I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas today if you’re celebrating! I’m so excited for you all to read this one, it’s the proposal; and it’s so soft. I hope you guys enjoy it as much I enjoyed writing it. I’m also going to do a 22.5 which will be from Tyler’s pov, so you can see all he went through. With that, happy reading everyone. Peace, love and hugs to all!
Tyler didn’t get to stay home long after Thanksgiving, in fact he was back on the road in a couple of days. This trip was extra hard as he was gone for another ten days. These long stretches were killer on you both, for lately it seemed like you just wanted to spend all your time with each other. Though he did call you several times throughout the day and always at the end of the night before you both would fall asleep.
You kept yourself busy looking into new charities for Tyler to endorse. Most game nights you spent with the wags, either at one of their houses or at yours. It was always fun hosting the ladies at the new house, and they always made sure to have some fun non-alcoholic beverage to include you in toasting the teams wins. The only strange thing was when you’d talk about the Fire and Ice gala that was coming up, no one seemed to have any information on it or what the event was even about. Most of the time the Stars foundation would at least reach out to one of you with all the details, though this time it seemed very hush hush. However, you, Alandra and Andrea all made appointments at the salon that day for a day of pampering and to get all dolled up.
Tyler was still pouting that he hadn’t seen the dress you’d bought, but just as Candace and Cassidy suggested, you’d wanted to wait till that night to show him. You’d actually caught him snooping around in the spare bedroom closet looking for it one day. “I just want to see it.” Or so he explained when you caught him rummaging around.
“You’re just going to have to wait until tomorrow night.”
“Fine.”
“What are you wearing by the way? Do I need to have any of your suits cleaned before tomorrow?” The two of you were still in the closet. Tyler seemed antsy, but you chalked it up to him being caught looking for your dress.
“You’re just going to have to wait until tomorrow night.” He teased you back, then ushered you out of the spare closet.
“Ha, ha, you’re so funny. I’m being serious. Do any of your shirts need cleaned from the road trip? I can run them to the cleaners now and they’ll be done by tomorrow.”
“Umm…actually, I’ll take them myself. I’ve got a few errands to run anyhow.”
“Oh perfect. I’ll come with you; I need to pick some things up from the store as well.” You were almost out of the moisturizer you used, so why not head over to the store with him as it was on the way.
“No!” You cocked your head at his sharp tone. “I mean…well, it’s just going to take me a long time and we probably shouldn’t both be gone from the dogs that long.”
You quirked an eyebrow at him. It wasn’t like you were leaving the dogs for days, just a few hours. “What are you talking about? They’ll be fine. We’ve left for a lot longer than to run errands.”
“It’s just they’re used to you being home now…and I think they’ll miss you if you leave.”
“Ty, they’ll be fine. They’re not that attached to me.”
“It’s just…Gerry hasn’t been feeling well.”
“Huh?” You glanced over at the three dogs, who were in the room with you. “Gerry’s fine, I just spent the last seven days with him, and he was fine the whole time. Well except for…” You shut your mouth before you got the pup in anymore trouble.
“Wait what did he do?”
“Nothing, he didn’t do a thing. Now come on let’s go. So we don’t leave the dogs too long.” You said sarcastically.
“I really think you should stay here with the dogs. They just seem lonely today.”
“Tyler, what is your problem? Why don’t you want me to go with you?” A pit formed in your stomach as you started thinking of reasons that he wouldn’t want you to go. Things had been going so great between the two of you, though the ten day stretch was hard; you didn’t think it put that much of a strain on your relationship. He’d seemed fine when he got home, in fact so fine that the two of you made up for those ten days apart by having sex no less than three times in the last twenty-four hours. You didn’t want to think about him cheating, but it popped into your brain anyway. What if he was going to see someone else? You tried to squash the uneasy feeling in your stomach, but with each passing moment he didn’t answer you, you grew more and more fearful. Finally when the silence stretched too long you said, “Just go do whatever it is you have to do.” With that you walked out of the spare bedroom and down the steps, tears starting to form as you left.
By the time you reached the kitchen, a few tears had slipped out; you swiped at them angrily, then grabbed a bottle of water out of the fridge and walked outside. You knew that Tyler would be coming downstairs any minute, and you didn’t feel like speaking with him at the moment. Instead you wondered around the outside in the cold November air. It helped cool the anger boiling through your veins. About ten minutes past before you heard the garage door open and the sound of the car engine, as it pulled out of the drive. It was then, that you finally broke down. Tyler left without even trying to look for you. His “errands” were more important than you were, and the more you thought about that, the harder you sobbed.
How could you have let your guard down, and believe that you and Tyler would have a perfect life together? Things were just too good to be true, and honestly you should’ve been waiting for the other shoe to drop. The question now was, what did you do? You knew you had to confront him about the issue and find out if he really was cheating. Your heart didn’t want it to be true and neither did your mind. When you thought about it, there was no real proof; other than the fact he’d been acting strange since he came home. Grabbing your phone out of your pocket, you sat there deciding whether or not to look online for any information. Finger hoovering over the Instagram icon, you debated with yourself on what do to. Then Andrea Bishop’s word echoed in your head; you needed to tune out everything that was on there. So instead you called your friend Jenna. As one of your best friends, she was always the voice of reason and would hopefully be able to help tell you what to do.
“Oh no what’s wrong?” You hadn’t even said hello, but Jenna could tell by your light sobs something was off.
“I think Tyler might be cheating on me.” Somehow you managed to get it all out before you sniffed loudly in the phone, then broke down crying again.
“Oh my god, calm down. Tell me why you think that?” When you continued crying into the phone, she said. “Things have been going so well between the two of you; maybe this is just a misunderstanding.”
“I don’t know maybe.” You finally choked out.
“So tell me why you think he’s cheating.”
“He’s just been super strange since he got home…and today I asked him if anything needed to go to the cleaners for the gala, that I could take it for him.” A hiccup escaped you as you told Jenna what happened only a short time ago. “He told me he would do it, because he had some errands to run. I said I’d go with him because I had some to do too; yet he insisted I stay home.”
“Well that doesn’t make me think he’s cheating.” “You don’t understand, he made up that Gerry was sick and I should stay home with him. We both know there’s nothing wrong with Gerry or the other dogs. He just wanted to sneak away from the house without me; and it’s probably because he’s seeing someone else.”
“Oh (Y/N), I don’t think it’s that at all.” You perked up a little bit at Jenna’s comment.
“Really?”
“(Y/N) that man is head over heels in love with you. I can’t see him having some fling while he’s out of town. That was the old Tyler. This Tyler is totally dedicated to you and your baby.” She did make sense. It was only today that he’d been acting weird. “You have that gala tomorrow right”
“Yeah.”
“Well, maybe he’s trying to do something special for you; like rent a limo or something.” That seemed a bit far-fetched.
“If he was going to do something like that, he could just call. There has to be something more.” You were convinced there was something going on, you just couldn’t put your finger on it.
“It’s probably something more extravagant than that; it was just the first thing that popped in my head. But I definitely know he’s not cheating on you.” “How can you be so sure?”
“Because if he is, I’ll beat the shit out of him.” You couldn’t help yourself, you laughed. Somehow, you could picture your best friend beating up Tyler; and you had a feeling she’d win. “Do you need me to come over there now, because I will?”
“No, but thanks for the offer. Just talking to you about it, made me feel better. I know you’re right; I don’t think he’d cheat on me. I just can’t explain his actions today.”
“Well you know Tyler, he’s probably trying to surprise you; though he never does it in a normal way.” Jenna was more than likely right. “I hate to cut this short, but I’ve gotta run. Are you sure you’re ok? Because I can cancel my plans and be right over.”
“No I’ll be fine. I’m sorry for bugging you.”
“(Y/N) you’re never a bother, this is what best friends are for; but I really have to run.” You felt bad for keeping your best friend from her plans, though she hadn’t mentioned what they were. ‘Sorry I’m late.’ You heard a distinct male voice in the background, which sounded a lot like Tyler.
“Is that Tyler?”
“What?...umm…No.” There was a slight panic in her voice. “That’s Bill…my date.”
“But I thought you wanted us to set you up with Jamie?”
“Umm…yeah I dp. It’s a long story, I’ll tell you about it later…I’m really late for this…thing. Promise I’ll tell you later…bye.”
“B…” She hung up before you could even say goodbye. Now you were worried about your best friend. The last time the two of you talked, she couldn’t stop talking about Jamie and how perfect he was. You thought the two of them would be great together. This day just kept getting weirder by the minute. Maybe you should just go lay down and start the whole thing over again. The wind blew just then, making you realize how cold it actually was outside.
Once inside you decided it wasn’t such a bad idea to just lay down and take a nap; so you crawled into your bed, the dogs following. They’re warm bodies felt good against your chilled bones as the three of you cuddled. You still couldn’t shake the feeling that something was going on with Tyler, but you tried to convince yourself that things would be fine. Closing your eyes, you let sleep take you. You weren’t sure how long you’d been asleep, but you woke up to Tyler gently shaking your dreaming form.
“Babe…babe.” You blinked your eyes at him, trying hard to wake yourself from slumber.
“Tyler?” You asked groggily. “What time is it?”
“It’s almost three o’clock.”
“Mmmm. I didn’t realize I’d slept that long.” As you became fully awake, memories of the morning started to invade your fog filled brain. You sat up, trying to get out of the bed, but were trapped between Tyler and the dogs. “Umm…can you let me up?”
“No.”
“Ty, please. I just want…” You didn’t know what you were going to do, or where you were going to go; you just knew that you wanted to put some distance between yourself and Tyler.
He brushed a stray lock of hair from your face, which made you flinch. “Baby, I’m sorry about earlier.” You turned your face from him, knowing you weren’t quite ready for this whole conversation. “Sweetheart, please look at me. I just want to talk to you.” A small tear ran down your cheek, and you quickly wiped it away. “Baby please don’t cry.” The pleading tone in his voice broke you, and before you knew what was happening; he wrapped you in his arms and held you to his chest. “Sshh, baby it’s ok.” He rubbed small circles on your back, which calmed you.
Once, you finally got ahold of your emotions you pulled back slightly from him. “Babe, don’t get mad; but I talked to Jenna.” You should’ve known she’d call and bitch him out; though you couldn’t be upset with her. She only ever had your best interest at heart. “I’m not cheating on you sweetie, I’m never going to do that again. You should know that by now.”
“I do. It’s just…” You took a deep breath before continuing. “You’ve been so weird since you came home, and you were so insistent that I not go with you today. I didn’t know what else to think.” He ran his fingers through his hair, a habit he had when he needed a minute to think. “I didn’t want you to come with me, because I was trying to surprise you with this.” He reached down and grabbed a small bag that he had by the bed; then handed over to you. “I wanted to give this to you tomorrow night, but…” He trailed off, while you blushed at your foolish thoughts of him cheating on you.
Nestled inside tissue paper was a black velvet box, which you knew contained something you didn’t deserve. “Ty I can’t.”
“(Y/N) if you don’t open that box this instant, I swear I’ll take you over my knee right now.” You raised your eyes at him, at his veiled threat; which was somewhat tempting in and of itself. “Don’t look at me like that.” He smirked. “Ok, so that wasn’t a very good threat, but I’ll do something you won’t like at all.”
A small giggle escaped your lips. “Well if you’re going to do ‘something I won’t like,’ I guess I better open this.” You lifted the lid on the velvet case. Inside lay a beautiful diamond pendant necklace. Small diamonds encircle two round cut stones; that then dropped down in to one large teardrop diamond. The teardrop diamond alone had to be three carats, not to mention the other stones that surrounded it. It literally stole your breath away. “Tyler, it’s too much.”
“Do you like it?”
“Like it! It’s breathtaking. I’ve never seen something so beautiful.”
“Well it pales compared to you.” His words made you melt. You didn’t deserve this man. A few tears spilled out your eyes yet again; though this time they were happy ones. “I just wanted to give you something special for tomorrow night.”
“Oh Tyler, I love it, but you didn’t need to do this; just being with you is enough.” Reaching over you planted a kiss on his lips. It wasn’t enough, this man deserved so much more; and he most definitely didn’t deserve your skepticism. You pulled back, to tell him this. “I’m so sorry I doubted you for even a minute Ty. I don’t deserve you.”
“Babe, don’t worry about it. I mean I’m not happy, that that’s the first thing you thought of; but at the same time I didn’t really help my cause insisting you stay home, with Gerry.” You both looked over at the pup, who was over in the corner clearly trying to play fetch by himself. “He’s obviously not sick.” Both of you laughed at the lie which Tyler had used earlier. “So how about I put this on you?”
He took the velvet box out of your hands, and started to take the necklace out of the package. “Wait…You wanted me to have this for tomorrow, maybe we should wait.”
“I’d rather have you wear this and nothing else right now. Call it your punishment for making me give it to you early.” He wiggled his eyes suggestively at you.
“Not that I mind that punishment at all, but don’t you have a game to get to soon?” He shrugged his shoulder, as if it didn’t matter. “And I haven’t made you dinner yet.”
“I’d rather have dessert first.” He leaned over and kissed you passionately, before pulling away to put the necklace on you; then went and lifted the hem of your shirt. “Now, about that punishment part.”
Tyler was a good fifteen minutes late in leaving for the game, but you both felt it was well worth any laps he’d have to do in practice the following morning. Luckily, you had another hour and half before you left to watch him play. The Stars were able to pull off a big win against the Oilers that night, which meant that everyone was in a good mood as you headed down to the tunnels. You were certain that everyone would want to go out and celebrate, considering the guys had the next three days off. However, everyone seemed to go their separate ways, and so you and Tyler headed home to just be with each other.
The next day, Tyler headed out to practice; while you met up with Andrea and Alandra later in the day. The three of you spent a relaxing day at the spa, where you got facials, pedicures and manicures; as well as getting your hair and makeup done for the gala that night. You had originally wanted to wear your hair how Candace had suggested, half-up, half-down; but once Tyler bought you that stunning pendant you felt as if you should showcase it and pull all your hair up. The stylist put a braid on the right side, pulling it out to give it a fuller look. She then swept it behind your ear, while creating a low bun with the remaining hair she had curled. She took down a few tendrils to frame your face. When it came to your makeup, the artist decided to go with a soft smokey eye to give you a more natural look. She used a soft pale pink blush on the apples of your cheeks, with a few gloss drops to give you that fresh dewy look. As for your lips, she kept them simple as well, lining them with a soft pink color that complimented the lipstick she’d chosen. She topped it off with a shimmery gloss, which made your lips look totally kissable. Of course, you ended up buying the lip shades she used, as you were sure you were going to need to reapply it even before you left the house. When you looked in the mirror the overall effect of your makeup and hair looked absolutely stunning; and briefly you wondered if you and Tyler would even make it out of the house tonight.
You hugged the girls goodbye, telling them you’d see them shortly; then headed home. Tyler had his head in the fridge, looking for something when you walked in the door, so it took him a moment to notice you. “Wow babe, you look amazing.”
“Thanks, I totally think I’m just going exactly like this tonight.” You still had a pair of jeans, with a button down shirt on. Though you knew once you put your gown on, your look would be complete; right now your outfit didn’t quite fit.
“You could wear a paper bag and be drop dead gorgeous.”
“Keep talking like that Seguin, and we may not leave this house tonight.” You slid your hands up his chest, then kissed his lips with your glossed ones.
He pulled away quicker than what you liked. “Well I better get my ass in the shower, before things get out of control here.” He kissed you again quickly. “Besides, I need to get myself cleaned up if I’m going to be standing next to you all night.” Reaching up you wiped the trace amount of lipstick off of his lips, before he headed off to your bedroom.
You made your way upstairs and got the gown out of the spare closet and the garment bag it was in. It looked so beautiful just hanging there, and you couldn’t wait to put it on. You dabbed some perfume behind your ears, as well as on your neck and wrists; then for good measure you applied a touch to your cleavage for the end of the night. Finally you slipped the dress on and checked your reflection in the mirror. You still felt like royalty in it. Last but not least you slid into the pair of pumps that you had bought to go with it. There was just one finishing touch left and that was the elaborate necklace Tyler had bought for you. As you placed it around your neck, you truly had to question if Tyler had seen the gown, for they seemed made for each other. With one last look in the mirror you headed down the stairs to meet Tyler.
He was standing in the foyer, fixing his cuff links when you walked downstairs. You took a moment to take the sight of him in. He was clad in a black suit, with a pristine white shirt. His vest was buttoned up and held in his black tie. Standing there, you couldn’t help but think of the first night you saw him. He was just as handsome that night as he was right now. It was easy to see how you fell in love with him, that first night. Visibly you shook yourself. Your movement caught his eyes and he looked up, his jaw going slack as he took in your appearance. “Ready to go?”
It took him a moment before he answered you. “Woah…babe, I’m speechless.” He moved closer to the stairs as you neared the bottom. “You look….” He seemed to be searching for words. “Gorgeous doesn’t seem to cover it.”
“You clean up pretty well yourself.” You added with a wink. His devilish smirk came out then. “Seriously Ty, I don’t think you’ve ever looked more handsome. Maybe the foundation needs to have more of these events.”
“I think I’m going to have to agree with you there.” He was still struggling with his left cuff link and you grabbed his hand and adjusted it for him, while he still drank in your appearance. “Baby, you’re just so damn beautiful.”
“Stop, you’re making me blush.”
“I can’t help it. I just don’t know how l got so lucky?” You gave him a quick peck on the lips, wiping your lipstick off of him.
“I’m pretty sure I’m the lucky one here.” After everything that happened yesterday, you truly felt blessed that you and Tyler found your way back to each other. “Alright, we better get going or we’ll be late.”
He glanced at his watch. “Right. I thought we’d take the Ferrari tonight, is that ok?”
“Yeah that works.” The two of you headed out. With all the traffic it took a few extra minutes to get to the venue. You were surprised when you pulled up to the place where you first met. “I thought we’d be at the arena.”
“Oh…ummm. I think it was booked or something, so they’re holding it here.” Tyler pulled up to the valet station and quickly jumped out of the car, so he could open your door instead of the attendant. He offered his hand to assist you out of the vehicle. You saw the appreciative glance the valet gave you as you emerged from the Ferrari. Apparently the dress concealed your baby bump more than you thought. Tyler glared at the young man, then slid his arm around your waist to draw you nearer.
As you walked into the building you noticed it wasn’t as crowded as you thought it would be. Maybe Tyler had gotten the time wrong. “I think we’re in the ballroom.” Tyler stated as he led you through the building. When you entered the ballroom, there was no one in the room, save a lonely waiter finishing up the place settings at one of the tables.
“Umm…what’s going on Ty?”
“I don’t know.” He made his way over to the server. “Excuse me sir, is this the right room for the Fire and Ice event?”
“Yeah, this is the right room.” The two of you surveyed the empty room before he said. “It’s just the event is tomorrow.” With those words he walked into the back room.
“They gave you the wrong date?” Tyler shrugged.
“They must have, though I was almost positive they told us today.”
“Well Andrea and Alandra got ready with me, so they must think it’s today too. I should call them.” You flipped open your purse to search for your phone.
“Babe, they’re probably already on their way here. Why don’t you just dance with me right now?”
You look at him curiously. “Huh?”
“Come on, you look so beautiful in that dress and this room looks amazing. I just want to dance with you.” He already grabbed your hand and was leading you out to where the dance floor was.
“But there’s no music.”
“We don’t need any.” He wrapped you up in his arms and started to hum lightly. The tune sounded vaguely familiar, though you couldn’t quite place it. You found yourself, swaying in his arms. He swept you into a grand turn, and soon you were twirling around the floor, to the light lilt of the piano. Piano, where did that come from? The two of you continued to dance, when suddenly you heard a voice break in.
You steady me, slow and sweet we sway, take the lead and I will follow.
Finally ready now. To close my eyes and just believe that you won’t lead me where I don’t go.
When my faith gets tired and my hope seems lost.
You spin me round and round and remind me of that song,
The one you wrote for me,
And we dance…Oh we dance.
You looked up into Tyler’s smiling face. “I know this song.”
“You should, you sang it for months after we went to your cousin’s wedding.” It was true, the melody had stuck in your head and you would sing it when you were in the shower, or out in the kitchen getting dinner ready. But that was at least nine months ago, and you never thought Tyler was paying attention.
“Where did the music come from?”
He shrugged nonchalantly, but you could tell by the smirk on his face he had done this. “Just dance with me baby.” He twirled you again and you were lost in the rhythm of the music and the thrill of being in Tyler’s arms.
And I’ve been told, to pick up my sword and fight for love.
Little did I know that love had won for me.
Here in your arms, you steal my heart again,
and I breathe you in like I’ve never breathed till now.
When my faith gets tired and my hope seems lost.
You spin me round and round and remind me of that song,
The one you wrote for me,
And we dance, oh, we dance.
Oh, oh we dance.
Oh, oh, oh we dance
Just you and me.
The words of the song had always resonated with you, but never more so then in that moment. Just being in his arms moving around the dance floor, made you lose your heart all over again to him. As you looked up at his brilliant smile, he stole your breath away. It was just the two of you in that moment, and you knew then and there, that this was the only man you wanted to spend the rest of your life with. Not that you hadn’t had this thought before, it was just all clear now. You’d walk to the ends of the earth for this man, for you knew he’d do the same for you.
And I will lock eyes with the one who’s ransomed me.
The one who gave me joy from mourning.
And I will love eyes with the one who’s chosen me.
The one who set my feet to dancing.
Oh we dance,
Oh we dance, we dance.
Oh we dance
Just you and me.
Suddenly you wished you could bottle this moment and keep it with you forever, as you heard the words of the song coming to a close, for you didn’t want it to end. The two of you had been in the darks depths a relationship could go, but somehow you’d both fought and found the light; and now that you had everything in the world seemed perfect. You just wanted to stay in this dance with him for the rest of your life.
The voice faded but the music continued as Tyler swayed back and forth with you in his arms. That’s when you noticed on stage there was a grand piano along with string quartet that you never noticed because you were so wrapped up dancing with the man you love. He slowed the two of you to a stop as the music played softly in the background; then he reached and entwined your hands together.
“It’s only been a little over a year since I met you here, you know that?” You nodded your head, unsure of where this conversation was going. “But I knew that night, that someday I’d be standing in front of you just like I am now.” Goosebumps started to skate up your arms at his words. “This place is pretty special to us, because not only did we first meet here, it brought us back together…well that and this little one right here.” His eyes drifted to your concealed baby bump and you both smiled. His grip on your hands tighten as he continued. “I don’t tell you this near enough, but I love you (Y/N). There is no one else in this world for me.” Your eyes started to tear, as he professed his love for you. “When you left me…as you should have.” A small laugh escaped you. “I thought I was going to die. I knew then that I didn’t want to live a life without you in it. It was like I couldn’t even breathe because you weren’t beside me.” The tears you’d been struggling to hold back, started to fall freely now. He unlaced one of your hands and with his thumb brushed them away. “Stop babe, or you’re gonna make me cry too.” Through your weeping eyes, you could just see him trying to suppress his own tears.
He took a deep breath in. “Anyhow…I knew if you ever gave me a chance again, I wouldn’t mess it up this time…and I swear to God I never will.” You smiled at him, hopefully letting him know that you’d never lose faith in him again, like you had yesterday. “You’re my everything; do you know that.” It wasn’t really a question, more of a statement; but you knew then and there that he was your all as well. “You’re my home, my shelter, the one I want to run to not only in the bad, but in the good as well. But most of all you’re the best thing that ever happened to me.” You squeezed his hands back hoping to convey the words you couldn’t speak at the moment. “I realized in this last year that nothing, not hockey, not the money, not the house, none of it means anything; if I don’t have you to share it with. I love you with my whole being.” He dropped to one knee then, tears streaming down not only your face, but one or two fell from his. You swear your heart stopped beating. He let go of your one hand again and searched in his inside suit pocket. Franticly you swiped at the tears falling down your face, for you wanted to look into Tyler’s eyes without any obstruction.
“I know I don’t deserve you (Y/N), but if you’ll have me, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want us to be a family in every sense of the word.” He flipped open the jewelry case and in it lay the most exquisite diamond ring you’d ever laid eyes on. “(Y/F/M/L/N) would you do me the greatest honor I’ve ever had in my life, and marry me?” You were nodding yes, through a stream of tears now, as you tried to find your voice.
“Yes, Ty, Yes.”
He didn’t give you time to say anything more. He placed the ring on your shaking hand and then in one swift motion, he rose from the floor, lifting you off your feet at the same time. He kissed you then, and you melted into his arms; kissing him back pouring all the love you had for him into it. Reluctantly he pulled back. “Did you really just say yes?”
Again, you nodded your head up and down. “Of course I said yes. Ty I love you so much. There is no one in this world I’d rather spend the rest of my life with, then you.” He still had you swept off your feet, and you had a feeling it would be that way from now until the end of time. You locked your eyes with his. “I can’t believe I get to be Mrs. Seguin, or that you did all this.”
“I can’t wait to call you my wife, but there’s more.” You weren’t entirely sure you heard him correctly, so you quirked an eyebrow at him. “You guys can come out now.” He placed you on your feet, as the doors to the adjacent room opened and out came rushing all your family and friends.
“Oh my god!” To say you were surprised was an understatement. They were all clapping and yelling congratulations. Your parents were the first at your side, enveloping you in a huge hug and offering you their congratulations. You were vaguely aware that Tyler’s whole family was doing the same to him. Two little hands latched on to your dress and you looked down to see your niece Rylynn holding on to you tightly. You lifted her up on your hip and she planted a kiss on your cheek.
“Does this mean I get to be in your wedding?”
You couldn’t help but laugh at her little request. “Of course you can sweetie. You’ll be the best flower girl there ever was.”
“Yipee”
Matt came over and took his joyful daughter out of your hands, while at the same time placing a kiss on your cheek. “Congratulations sis. That man is really in love with you.”
“Oh my god, everything he said to you was so sweet.” Melissa added as she dabbed her eyes, through your hug.
“Wait, you guys heard that?”
“Yep, and watched it too.” Sean added leaning to offer his congratulation.
“But how?”
“That’s a question you’re going to have to ask your fiancé.” Jessica told you.
“I might have an idea how it happened. Congratulations bestie!” Your best friend Jenna added as she squeezed you.
“Wait, did you help him with this?”
“Me and a bunch of others, but there’s a microphone in that chandelier right there.” You looked up to find it, glancing through the sparkling crystals, trying to find the tiny device. “There’s also hidden cameras all over here. And while there was a bunch of us that helped, it was all Tyler’s idea.”
You gave Jenna one more hug, and thanked her for everything. There were still tons of people around wanting to wish you well, but you needed to say somethings to your fiancé. He wasn’t more than five feet from you, so you turned towards him. Automatically, his arm went around your waist to draw you close to him. Standing on your tip-toes you reached up and planted a chaste kiss on his cheek. His mom was still standing there. “I’m so happy for you two. You’re just so perfect.” She was crying as she grabbed you and hugged you hard. Softly she whispered in your ear, so only you could hear her. “Thank you for loving my baby boy. I know that it hasn’t been easy at times, but I couldn’t ask for anyone better for him to spend the rest of his life with than you.” More tears came rushing down at her words.
You couldn’t find the words to tell her how much what she just said meant. Finally you whispered back, “I promise to love him with all I have.” She released you then, only to be replaced by Candace and Cassidy. In that moment you realized, you weren’t going to get a moment alone with Tyler until later in the night. Both his sisters were so happy, for you; and you couldn’t be more excited to have them as your actual sisters soon.
Jamie, was the next person to find you, kissing your cheek in congratulations; before he slapped his best friend on the back. “So, he’s finally going to make an honest woman out of you; about time Seggy, because I was all ready to swoop in.”
“Don’t even think about it Chubbs, she’s definitely spoken for now.” Tyler held up your left hand to show him the ring, while you just shook your head in laughter. It was one person after the next for the following hour, wishing both you and Tyler well. It wasn’t until you were back on the dance floor, alone in Tyler’s arms before you got a chance to ask him the question you’d been dying to know, since talking to your best friend.
“Ty, I can’t believe you did all this for me? Jenna said there are even cameras somewhere around here. How in the world did you do this?”
“Well it wasn’t easy, but it was worth it; you’re worth it.” You knew that none of this would’ve been easy to pull off and you couldn’t wait to hear how he did it all.

Merry Christmas!
Figured that I should write a post at Christmas, given all the chaos that’s been 2020 lol. Well, for one, Covid’s still here and so it’s still been pretty hard for everyone. Personally, my Christmas obviously changed in a way that it’s more chill this time around. Not that I’m complaining ‘cause this is probably my most preferred way of celebrating the holidays, but I’d rather have a chill Christmas because I wanted it and not because the circumstances forced us to. I didn’t even bother to dress up nor put on some makeup because I was really lazy to do so, and to be honest, the Christmas spirit isn’t really as felt this time around. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who feels this.
Anyway, I didn’t really intend to make a depressing post LOL. It’s the other way around, actually. I’ve been meaning to write something for a few days now but I’ve been lazy. I actually wanted to say that given all the chaos, thankfully I had a couple of things that kept me sane. They’re mostly new hobbies and interests, and some may come off as a shock, even. So here are my life updates so far. A list of things that helped me survive 2020 😌
Baking
It started with a box of pancake mix. A few months back, I was supposed to make some pancakes for an afternoon snack, but then I was kinda tired with eating pancakes that I wondered if there is any other way I can turn that mix into. I eventually ended up with these hard chocolate turnovers lmao. After that, I was suddenly baking almost every week. So far, I’ve baked coffee buns, lemon bars, pandesal!, pound cakes, cookies (ofc), and cinnamon rolls. I’m targeting to go for naked cakes but I am yet to buy an electric mixer. For someone who hates measurements and all, it’s a shock for me to be into baking. But it’s been so therapeutic for me. The kneading of the dough, the whisking, mixing, the rise, the waiting on the oven — so zen. I guess, it’s cause it keeps my mind off of things, and whenever I bake, I’m just so focused on what I’m doing. So it’s like, I’m in my own bubble of productivity for a long while. Also, I’d say it kinda helps with my self-esteem, as baking has allowed me to prove to myself that I can do something delish. Whenever I look at the finished products, I couldn’t believe that I, me, Mich, me, did that! I think that happened when I made pandesals and when I really liked the cinammon rolls. I was like, “Omg, I can’t believe I did this!” Aside from my fam, I’ve sent a few of my pastries to friends as well, and some say that I should start a business already lol. But that’s so far from my mind right now. I mean, I’d want to, in the future. But not sometime soon. I still want to enjoy this season where I’m plainly learning and enjoying the process of baking. I don’t, and am not, prepared for the pressure and hassle of it all yet. 🤪
Workout
I’ve been working out for a few years now but I wasn’t as consistent as how I’ve been the past couple of months. I used to workout every freaking day, but lately it would just be about thrice or four times a week. My past blog posts would give you a hint about my relationship with my body and food. It hasn’t been really nice in general, but working out really does help me improve my mindset towards my body image. Admittedly, I began working out because I wanted to lose weight, but eventually (and thankfully), it transformed into me working out because it makes me strong and it benefits my mental health a lot. I do a variety, although most times I’d do cardio, then I’ll just pair it up with either weights or another round of cardio but dance.
The process has been fun, and I don’t really pressure myself or limit myself when it comes to food. I still eat whatever’s there, but right now it’s all portion control, really. In all fairness, I think because I’ve been working out, my appetite isn’t as huge as it used to be. I get fuller fast these days, and I rarely binge-eat, unless I re-stock on Korean grocery food hahahaha. Anyway speaking of Korean, here’s my last interest update...
BTS
Yup. As in that K-pop boyband. As in Bangtan Sonyeondan. As in that band who’s taking over the world. What a plot twist, right? I’ve never been into K-pop to begin with, so BTS (and eventually, K-pop in general) is probably my biggest musical plot twist so far. I initially was supposed to write a whole separate blog post about this (because that’s how OBSESSED I AM WITH BTS) but I figured that I’ll just include them in this “life update” entry. But for real, it began back in October, when I saw this screenshot of RM’s WeVerse comment/reply to a fan. I’m pasting it here for reference lol.
For some reason, I was really impressed after seeing this. I’ve known the band for a while already. I know how big they are and I even have friends who are huge fans. I’ve seen a couple of their online content in the past as well, but I think it was this image that made me really realize why they’ve been getting so much attention and why their fanbase just keeps on growing. This was the first time that I “got it”, if you know what I mean. Anyway, a bit after that my ARMY friends messaged me and I was immediately swooped into the world of BTS. I don’t regret any of it though haha! I have so much feelings about this topic (lololol) but I’ll try to hold back. Who knows, I might continue with that separate blog post anyway 💁♀️ My bias is Namjoon (my goodness, this man is such a dream), while my bias wrecker is Jimin. Although I think my bias wrecker changes everyday now lmao. 😂 I’ll say this though, it wasn’t their pretty faces that got me. If anything, I think that really comes as secondary, because what made me an Army was their talent, their story, and their character. These boys are really men of substance, and their songs and advocacy can attest to how principled they are. Their songs have also helped me so much as I am still in the process of improving myself, my mental health, and all these introspective things. I remember this one time where I bawled my eyes out when I was reading through the English translation of Answer: Love Myself. In a year when I almost lost myself again due to how depressing this year was, it feels good to root for something, or in this case, someone, and see them flourish in success. They really started at the bottom, and I guess in a way their story also inspires me to keep on doing what I’m doing, knowing that someday, everything will make sense and I’ll finally make it.
BTS also led me to listen to other K-pop acts as well such as Day6 (another fave!), Monsta X, Shinee, IU, Henry, and BlackPink (very recently hahaha) Ok, I’ll stop right there. 😬 Funny how I just cannot get the K-pop hype for so many years, and now I’m genuinely enjoying it. It’s become my go-to work soundtrip also as I don’t get carried away by singing along to the lyrics as, ofc, it’s in a different language lol.
Plants
I remember last year when my colleagues at work gave me this plant and they assured me that it won’t die but it did. It kinda made me think that I don’t have a green thumb and that I can never maintain a plant. But guess what, I have about 7 plants now and THEY’RE ALL THRIVING SO WELL. I’m so invested in these plant babies and I’m so proud of myself that they’re all so alive and doing well. There were some scares, I admit. Like this one time when I attempted to re-pot my Syngonium Arrowhead and it almost died lol but I re-did it and thankfully it resurrected hahahahaha. Again, just like what I said about BTS and my baking, my plants are also testament to how it feels nice to root for (no pun intended) something and see them thrive, and how it feels so satisfying and reassuring to see something that I’ve been taking care of live healthy and happy.
So yeah, there’s that.
Those are what my life has been circling around these days. As I’ve said, I’m very grateful that I got into these things, little as they may seem as compared to others. But hey, they make me happy, and I think at this point in time, as long as something makes you happy and sane, that’s all that matters. You do you, girl. Wow, I can’t believe that I wrote this long. It’s been a while since I did! Anyway, I’m gonna end this here now as it’s getting late and I still have stuff to do.
Merry Christmas!

Ornaments
AN: Absolute shameless Christmas fluff. Merry Christmas to all those that celebrate, and happy holidays to everyone! Hope you enjoy!
Pairing: Dean/Cas
Words: 1256
Read on AO3 here!
Cas’ first Christmas as a human came after Chuck had been defeated, Sam and Dean’s last Christmas in the bunker before they’d all go their separate ways. Dean had insisted, this year, that they get an honest to God Christmas tree, one that he had purchased for one hundred and twenty four dollars at the after Christmas sale in Lebanon’s hardware store the previous year. He had taken pride in getting little ornaments throughout the years, collecting them at garage sales and antique stores that he and Cas would stop in on their way to and from hunts, crisscrossing the country with knick knacks in tow, placed in boxes labeled “Christmas” if ever they stopped saving the world long enough to celebrate.
The tree really was spectacular, covered in tiny rainbow lights, an angel that Dean had salvaged from his mother’s house (a secret kept for decades from his father, even from Sam, tucked in a corner of the Impala that no one would have ever known about, would have ever thought to have checked). They had put up the tree on the first of December, not a minute earlier, since, in Dean’s superior opinion, Christmas didn’t begin until December, no Christmas music until then, Sam. They spent the whole afternoon decorating it, Dean in his hot dog pajamas, dancing unashamedly to Christmas music streamed from Sam’s laptop, each of them working together to make sure there weren’t any clumps and that the ornaments were evenly distributed. Eileen had even made eggnog, and Cas really thought that Dean was going to kiss her.
“Eileen, how’d you know eggnog’s my favorite?”
“Lucky guess,” her smile and little look to Sam was telling, and Cas couldn’t keep a smile off his face either, Dean’s happiness, his spirit was infectious. It had been so so long since Cas had seen Dean happy like this, it made his chest feel kinda tight for some reason, probably a human thing that he didn’t quite understand yet.
They each had a favorite ornament, and they each placed their favorite on a place of honor on the tree, which stood tall and beautiful in the corner of the map room, casting rainbow dots of light on the wall and polished floor.
Sam had gone first, placing a small purple star he had found in a Montana thrift store on the bottom left corner of the tree. it caught the light as it turned and sparkled, a tiny thing, in direct contrast to Sam’s hulking form.
Eileen had gone next, picking out a ceramic carousel horse that Cas had picked up in Washington state, he had found it in a ninety-nine cent bin at a garage sale run by a smiling woman and her two red-headed children, who both insisted that Cas take the little horse, and he had obliged, handing her the money with a gentle smile, Dean tagging along, hands in his pockets and a half smile on his face.
“You into horses now?” he had asked as the Impala pulled out of the residential streets, Cas turning the little horse in his hands.
“A lot easier to clean up after than the real thing.”
Dean had laughed at that, and Cas had tucked the little horse with it’s brightly painted ceramic into the box they had started keeping in the back for the ornaments they collected, promising themselves that they would get a Christmas tree one year.
Cas had gone third, selecting a little plush cow in a white dress that made him smile every time he looked at her. Eileen had found this one, Dean and Cas’ little tradition of collecting ornaments spreading to Sam and Eileen as well. She had presented it after hunting a ghoul in Iowa, smiling in a shy way, eyes a little downcast, as if she was afraid that she had overstepped her bounds.
“I hope it’s okay, I thought it was a fun tradition.”
“It’s perfect,” Cas had breathed, turning the little cow over in his hands and giving Eileen one of those radiant smiles he usually reserved for Dean, “This one is my favorite by far too.”
He placed it in the middle of the tree, nestling the little cow so that she was surrounded by lights, able to view the whole room imperiously, well, as imperiously as a little plush cow ornament in a dress could be.
Dean placed his ornament, his mother’s angel topper, with as much care as Cas had seen people handle newborn babies. He had to lean up on his tiptoes to place her tenderly on the very top of the tree, and had asked them all repeatedly to see if she needed shifting, if she was facing the correct direction. It was a labor of love, as if his own mother was watching over them. Despite everything, Cas liked to believe that she was.
Cas spent a lot of time leading up the Christmas staring at the tree, finding little details in it when he was supposed to be researching, looking at it with the same reverence that he would look at Dean when he wasn’t looking, at least the tree couldn’t meet his eyes if he stared too long.
On Christmas Eve, when Sam and Eileen had gone out to look at the town’s local Christmas light setup, Dean and Cas ended up in two armchairs in front of the tree, sitting in a comfortable silence, with hot chocolate that Cas had perfected in warm mugs.
“This is the most beautiful Christmas tree in the world,” Cas sighs, taking a sip of his hot chocolate, relishing in the beautiful imperfections of being human.
Dean’s eyes reflected the lights, and his smile was quiet and reserved. Cas loved it when he smiled like that. Well, he had come to the realization years ago that he loved it when Dean did just about anything (when he wasn’t being an ass, that is).
“What?”
“I’m glad you’re here for Christmas, Cas.”
“I’m here all the time.”
Dean rolled his eyes, and Cas hoped beyond hope that he wasn’t imagining Dean inching his chair closer to Cas.
“Yeah but, I’ve never had a Christmas like this, with a real tree in a real home or whatever. And I’m glad that I’m, uh, here with you.”
Okay, Cas wasn’t imagining it, Dean was creeping his way closer, bridging the gap between them, and it was all Cas could do, once he realized this, not to take matters into his own hands. He had learned long ago, however, that Dean had to move at his own pace, or he would never move at all.
“Cas,” Dean’s voice was rougher now, and Cas could feel the heat coming off of him, not that he wasn’t always hyper-aware of Dean’s proximity to him at all times anyway.
“Dean,” his name was all that he managed before Dean pressed his lips softly to his own. It was something Cas had dreamed about ever since he became human (daydreamed about for years when he was an angel), but somehow, the supreme cliche of their first kiss being in front of a Christmas tree on Christmas Eve made the kiss beyond anything that Cas could have ever imagined.
They break apart when the clock chimes, signalling the beginning of Christmas Day, and Dean gives him a radiant smile, one that warms Cas up from toes to fingertips.
“Merry Christmas, Cas.”
Cas’s eyes twinkle, moving from Dean’s face to the Christmas tree and back again.
“Merry Christmas, Dean.”

--
It was that time of the year again. Christmas. Most soldiers had the day off and went back home to visit their families and celebrate Christmas with presents and cookies. Joy and laugher, and so on. But, those who had lost their families had nowhere to go, did they? Thus, remaining on duty. A cruel truth, but it wasn't that bad spending it with their comrades, especially a certain group of three close friends.
"Eh… why do we have to this again?" Mikasa groaned.
"Because it's Captain Levi's birthday! And Christmas. And you already got him a gift, and we have the job of delivering the others' gift since they were 'too scared' of Levi… he isn't always pissed off." Eren sighed shaking his head while Mikasa only rolled her eyes, "I got him a gag disguise, Eren." Mikasa spoke, not really spoiling her gift considering she didn't bother wrapping it.
"And why did you get that for him again…?" The blonde asked, who accompanied the two since he had nothing else to do, plus he got him a chess set, seeing that he might as well get him something out of respect. "Well…" Mikasa mumbled, flashbacking to the day where Levi and her had a squabble about Eren's safety and treatment since he was a titan shifter, and it somehow ended with the words, 'you can make me wear a gag disguise and that brat would still listen, obey my orders and be afraid of me.'
"I question that, at myself too." Mikasa sighed quietly whereas Eren shook his head in response. "He obviously won't like whatever all of you got for him, he likes cleaning supplies!"
"And you got him..." Armin trailed off as he saw Eren's nod, before he responded, "Yep, cleaning supplies… anyways let's just drop the gifts and go to the cafeteria, I heard they aren't giving out stale bread today." Eren shrugged as the two agreed.
Once they reached Levi's office, they were about to knock on the door until, they heard a loud, over-enthusiastic voice emitting from his room, which was of course, Hanji. "C'mon Levi!" She pleaded. "But Levi… You got to KISS under the mistletoe! It's the rules!" Hanji exclaimed which caused the three to halt in their actions, looking at each other, confused.
"Did you hear that…?" Mikasa whispered, sounding both curious and extremely puzzled at the fact Levi, THE LEVI, who was a grumpy shorty, was about to kiss someone.
"Y-Yeah…" Armin stuttered. "We should go… what if it's Captain Hanji who's going to kiss him…? Let's not bother them…" Armin spoke, not wanting to get in trouble, especially on Christmas.
"Wait no. I have to see this." Eren spoke as he peeked through the small crack through the slightly opened door. "But Eren, Hanji sounds drunk… what if they… uh—"
"Shh, Hanji's always drunk! Now let's listen." Eren spoke as he shifted a little for the two to have space to press their ears against the closed door to listen to their rather intriguing conversation.
"Well… I mean, it is definitely is something interesting…" Mikasa admitted as she shifted, listening to them as well. Armin sighing, finally giving in to mostly curiosity, as he started to listen too.
"Hanji. The first thing I see when I arrive is you drinking alcohol in MY office? What kind of crappy joke is this?" Levi grumbled rolling his eyes. "And Kiss? You must be crazy if I'm going to kiss anything as filthy as that." Levi added as Hanji groaned.
"It's not all that filthy!" Hanji pouted as she poured a glass for Levi. "Let's drink birthday boy!" Hanji exclaimed almost too loudly, giving him the, 'I know you want it' look before Levi clicked his tongue as he took the glass from her as he started chugging it down his throat.
"I knew you wanted it."
"Shut up."
"If you kiss then sure." Hanji smirked. "I know you'd definitely want to go further after…"
"…How many glasses did you drink?" Levi asked, raising a brow.
"… fifteen…" Hanji hiccuped.
"Wait, so Captain Hanji and Levi are a couple?" Eren spoke, sounding rather shock at such a couple combination.
"Well, I mean Levi and Hanji have been meeting quite often, or so I've heard…"
"I thought it was to discuss paperwork..?" Mikasa retorted, reusing to believe that Hanji's taste in men was so low, like Levi's height. "And Levi's personality is kind of…"
"Captain Levi isn't that bad Mikasa!" Eren said rolling his eyes. "But… even for Hanji's standard… I thought she was into crazy men?"
"Well… opposites attract…" Armin shrugged.
"Shh… they're talking." Mikasa hushed the two.
"Hanji. I'm not doing it." Levi snapped as he chugged down another shot, still sober as always.
"Pleaseeeeee Birthday boy!" Hanji begged again.
"Don't call me that, it's weird." Levi grumbled.
"Hmmm? Is Levi in a bad mood?" Hanji asked chuckling.
"I'm always in a bad mood for f—"
"Yeah but you look like you're in a worse mood… because your precious brats didn't get you anything even though you just went gift-giving a couple moments ago?" Hanji chuckled, knowing he went out and bought them gifts which he personally went and placed them in their own rooms, but of course, respecting their privacy by not touching anything at all. He just placed it there and left. Levi clicked his tongue. "Shut up. They worked their asses off, it's just stuff on sale." Levi retorted, though Hanji knew he was probably still sad they got him nothing, especially when Hanji found his new squad had a rather peculiar but somewhat close bond. "There, There…" Hanji sighed as she took another shot as she patted Levi's back in a comforting manner. "Well. Either way… You're still going to kiss under the mistletoe. If you aren't going to, I'll—"
"Achoo!" A certain blonde sneezed.
"Shit." Eren cursed as Mikasa quickly hurried up to her feet signalling the two to do the same as she heard footsteps nearing the door.
Almost in a blink of an eye, the door opened as the brunette and blonde quickly got onto their feet.
"And what do you three want?" Levi grumbled, still in a bad mood. "I already have my own problems, and you three eavesdropping isn't going to do shit for me and—"
"We, uh, got you gifts." Eren spoke as he held out wrapped up presents that were from him and the other squad members, Armin and Mikasa doing the same as Levi's eyes widened. "Oh." He said simply before taking them. "Say thank you!" Hanji yelled to him from the inside as Levi clicked his tongue agitatedly as he glared at Hanji for a second before turning his focus back to the three. "Thank you… I didn't expect you guys to—"
"Neither did we, we overheard your conversation about your gift-giving." Mikasa interrupted as she handed him the gag disguise she got, Levi blinking at her gift, not knowing she'd have taken his statement that seriously, and was about to make one of his sarcastic comments until he smelt detergent. "Is that detergent…?" He asked as Eren nodded almost too cheerfully. "I know you like cleaning and—"
"I do, but detergent? Really? Who gets a gag disguise and detergent for a gift?" Levi spoke as he eyed the blonde who tensed up. "I uh— got you a chess set…" Armin spoke, assuming he wanted to know what he got.
"Well, at least someone has a normal mind here." Levi sighed before looking up at the three. The three expecting a lecture but instead they were greeted by a smile, which shocked them. "Thank you, really…" Levi mumbled quietly as Hanji chuckled softly as she watched the whole thing. "You guys are dismissed now, I'm sure you have better things to do." Levi spoke, not wanting to waste their time anymore, assuming they had plans.
"Wait." Armin spoke as Eren continued. "We were wondering… are you and Captain Hanji together?" He asked as Levi tilted his head as he let out a, 'huh?'
"Well, we heard about you having to kiss her under the mistletoe—"
"What? No. That idiot threw a broom at me when I walked into the office and asked me to kiss it since I was standing under that mistletoe thing with it that she had set up." Levi sighed, explaining it to them thoroughly, not wanting them to have any misconceptions.
"Oh…" The three spoke in sync as Levi made a 'tch' sound before turning around. "Now go away, before I report to the superiors that you eavesdropped a Captain." Levi threatened as they nodded before walking off, not wanting to run a hundred laps or something in the snow. "Thank you for your gift though!" The three exclaimed their thanks in advance, and wished him a happy birthday as well before they left wondering what he got them.
"You love them and you know it." Hanji chuckled softly as Levi rolled his eyes before sitting back down as he poured another shot for the two. "Shut up and drink, before I make you kiss the broom instead." Levi grumbled, hoping the three wouldn't come up with any rumours about him kissing a broom, if they did, he was sure to make them run a hundred laps during the next Christmas.
But he was thankful, thankful for his own reasons.
But if he had to be honest, he kind of enjoyed Christmas and his birthday today.

Dark was the night. The moon shined bright. Snow was covering the green fields outside- Wait. This doesn’t work in English. Dammit. Oh well. It was a peaceful evening- or rather, late noon. It just got dark THAT early, so it felt like evening already. The restaurant laid abandoned, in silence, as everyone had gone to sleep ea- BAM, DOOR BUST OPEN, JEREMY EMERGED FROM THE DEPTHS OF HELL, LIKE A TRUE GREMLIN. “CHRIIIIIIIIIIIIIISTMAAAAAAAAAAAAS!” DAVE AND OLD SPORT CAME FROM THE CEILING, DROPPING DOWN IN LIQUID FORM BEFORE BECOMING SOLID AGAIN. “CHRISTER MISTER, CHRISTER MISTER, CHRI-“ Poor Mike who sat there, wearing a Christmas hat was close to losing it. “COULD YOU STOP FUCKING SCREAMING!?” “NO,” Dave responded, mercilessly. “IT’S CHRISTIAN’S BIRTHDAY. WE GOTTA CELEBRATE.” Jeremy made an offended noise. “No- not- don’t make fun of this! This holiday is REALLY important to me!” “Why.” The response was pretty casual. “Because- well- it’s a very happy day that is meant to remember that all of us can be forgiven!” Old Sport turned away, trying not to laugh. “Aw, I’m sorry Jeremy. We didn’t mean to make fun of you.” “YOU BETTER! BECAUSE THOSE THAT DO ARE NAUGHTY AND DON’T GET COOKIES!” As threatening as the average golden retriever puppy he pointed at them. However, both of the colorful killers whined and rolled over. NOT DENYING COOKIES! Simon entered the room, eggnog in hand. “What’s the chaos about?” When he spotted Mike, he moved over to hand him a glass. This was met with a scoff. “I can’t have alco-“ “It’s free. I’ll spike my own drink.” And with that Simon took out a giant flask and began pouring it into his own cup, more and more much to Mike’s amazement. “… thanks… I guess…?” “No problem. I look out for you.” He took a hearty swig from the eggnog. “I love the holidays. I love being allowed to drink.” “Yeah, sure, rub it in.” Grumpy Mike responded. “Oh, sorry, didn’t, uh- didn’t mean that.” “As if.” They looked out into the group that surrounded them, throwing around snowy glitter and chattering on about what kind of cookies they wanted. Eventually Mike nudged the Phone. “… hey, is that the detective there or am I losing it again?” “That is the detective, yep.” “… so nobody planned to tell me, huh?” At this point he wasn’t even surprised. The detective was being ushered around by the giant machines around him, pushed forward towards the two of them. Awkwardly he approached, looking at each of them. “… I… I think the animatronics would like to be decorated. Would that be- can we-“ Two bodies crashed into him right away, before he could even finish and both the Orange Guy as well as Jeremy, sitting on top of him, excited. “YES WE TOTALLY CAN DECORATE THEM!” “W-we could cover them in fake snow and give them little ornaments-“ “FLASHING LIGHTS. EVERY KID IN THE WHOLE CITY SHOULD GET SEIZURES. WE COULD RACK UP SUCH A KILL C- I MEAN, CHRISTMAS COUNT FOR ALL THE JOY WE ARE SPREADING!” Jeremy looked at him from the side. “Listen, Old Sport, I really love and look up to you, but if you ruin Christmas for me, I WILL do things to you that won’t make me proud.” Four sets of eyes stared into him, but he didn’t waver. Christmas is NO joke. And he wouldn’t let ANYONE get in the way of it. After he felt like the seriousness of the situation as set in, he was cheerful once more. “Anyways, can we decorate them Mr. Phone Guy? Please, please, please! We’ll be careful!” Freddy joined in. “Yes, boss, it would be nice… wouldn’t you let us have some holiday spirit too?” “Uh-“ Unsure he looked between the people. “… sure?” Children’s cheering sounded, as they all ran off to get something festive to put onto them. The Phone Guy sighed. “I’ll regret this, won’t I?” With that he took out the flask again and downed the liquid without a hint of hesitation. Ethan was still sitting there, seemingly lost. “… I really can’t leave.” “Wow. Big fucking surprise.” Mike responded, dripping sarcasm. “I- I just meant that’s why I’m still here. I didn’t mean to- interrupt your Christmas celebration.” For a moment Phoney inspected the detective, then shook his head. “We don’t mind you here.” “I didn’t even get a present for anyone.” The man blurted out. “We, uh- nobody did.” “Oh.” Insecure he looked around. “I… I suppose then it’s okay.” Suddenly he yelped as a sudden cold feeling hit the back of his head. Snickering came from the door, Chica was looking in and snickering. “H-hey- are- is she supposed to do that?!” Quickly the detective wiped away the wet feeling from his neck. “Won’t it hurt their- the mechanics inside of them-“ Smugly Mike grinned. “The only one I’M seeing getting hurt is your fucking ego. Getting hit like that? PATHETIC.” Staring down at him, Ethan paused, then slowly crossed his arms. “… true. You’re right. I won’t bother you any further.” Quickly he left towards the door. “Think that little bitch was insulted?” The guard asked his friend, but only got a shrug in response. Soon enough his mind was taken out of it though, as Jeremy came out of the back again, handing out plates of warm cookies. The machines had been decorated with paper snowflakes, with actual false snow, Foxy had a little glittering balls hanging from him, while Bonnie was covered in colorful lights. Everyone was happy and proud so far. Jeremy gifted everyone handcrafted papers with a thank you and what they appreciated about them- even the detective was supposed to get one, now that he was confirmed to be here and stay around. The others promised to get him something as thank you and that they were sorry for not having prepared anything for this year’s Christmas. He reassured them that he didn’t need another gift aside from their company, but secretly was looking forward to getting gifts. Happily he bit into his cookies, sitting in a circles with the others, in front of a fire that they just started in the middle of the main hall. “I hope everyone is having a nice Christmas! And remembers that each Christmas is a new chance to forgive and that there’s nothing more valuable than peace in your heart.” Dave chimed in. “Nothin’ except a tank. A tank is fuckin’ valuable. Jeremy, imma build you a tank for next Christmas.” All in all it was a peaceful Christmas Eve. Oh yeah, Mike and Phone Guy were later in the evening found drowned in a pile of snow. Chicken and human footprints were found in the snow, but no strong suspects were found. An oversized duck that we saw on a street near the incident commented on the event with “Pathetic.”
In the distance, in the void, a small figure sat alone in front of a fireplace, wearing a Santa hat and drinking hot chocolate. The little lizard had a decorated tank, which included a miniature decorated tree that he seemed to be pretty happy about, as well as a few stacked grasshoppers that he occasionally ate from. It looked like Henry was watching the fire, but actually he was watching the people in the restaurant, lost in thought. Jealous? “… not in the slightest. Stuff like that stresses me out, I am happy to not be part of it. I do lament the lack of snow in the void though.” Wouldn’t you know it, snow started to pick up, dancing through the darkness, not cold, not warm, only there for a second before disappearing again. And for once, Henry smiled a little, peacefully. Bless you, murder monster man. “Bless you too. Whatever blessings you may wish for.” (I just felt like writing a small something for Christmas, to get everyone in the mood... seeing as I couldn’t make a dedicated chapter for it Merry Christmas or Happy Hanukah or Bestested Holidays, I love you all and hope you have some wholesome days the next while :3 )
