AU where instead of Rengoku dying, it was Giyuu.

Sanemi isn't expecting it to happen because he and Giyuu had a huge misunderstanding that led to a fight the night before Giyuu left. Sanemi said some unspeakable things to Giyuu, which for the first time ever, Giyuu reacted to with a truthfully hurt expression that even Sanemi was taken aback from what he had said.

Giyuu left and Sanemi wanted to apologize once Giyuu comes back from his mission.

But then, he didn't come back.

Conflicted, lost, guilty, angry, longing, it was a mix of emotions that Sanemi had to endure once again.

He pleaded with whatever he didn't previously believed in, to have the chance to redo that night and see Giyuu one last time.

He was heard, and by a playful twist of destiny, he was brought back to several days before Giyuu's death.

Just, upon seeing Giyuu, although usually uncharacteristic, he ran to hug Giyuu very tightly, even if in front of others during the meeting.

Giyuu, evidently confused, didn't know if he should hug back.

"I'm sorry..." was all Sanemi could mutter as he buried his nose on the side of Giyuu's neck lovingly.

"Shi.. Shinazugawa?" Tomioka called out, and Sanemi hugged him tighter.

"I won't let anything happen to you again..."

Everyone there teased Sanemi after, but he didn't mind.

Now he has the chance to make things right.

Or probably, just to apologize...

My Mini Kiddo has taken up playing with my customized Yuan doll and while I'm still sweating bullets, she IS very gentle with him (she's 3........) and it's hilarious and cute.

Yuan has to rotate his still-limited wardrobe (I'm making pyjamas now bc Mini Kiddo wants pyjamas), drink coffee, take baths and sleep. I love watching her lmao.

pretty much all animals with social or semi-social lifestyles cuddle at least occasionally in the wild for everything from protection to enhancing bonds and relieving stress! this includes everything from birds and mammals to some really unexpected animals like sharks.
