It was very cold out. The road banks were full with high piles of snow, ploughed and shovelled aside to let cars past and the streets, and the pavements were glittering with it. The sky was deep and dark but it was as though the world had been dyed a pure and gentle white. It was, I say again, very cold out and yet, even in spite of being chided by friends about about the fact on countless occasions, Mio still hadn't managed to pull together an entirely appropriate wardrobe. Her solution, for now, was to rely on pure layers; her white dress might have been short but her matching shimmery tights were pretty thick and the knee-high socks hidden by her thigh-high boots added some extra warmth. Still, even if were a little cold now, she didn't mind much at all. The streets of Anchorage had been dressed up so beautifully that it was hardly likely there would be much else for her to mind at all!

But she wasn't simply walking around in the cold, just to stare at glimmering lights and shimmering displays. It took her a while to find what (or indeed who) she was looking for but, when she finally laid eyes on her target, every inch of her was filled with such a bright warmth that it might as well have been a pleasant Summer's day. Mio waved her hand above her hand and called out, "Mindy! I'm here!", before running over to meet that very same Mindy. She moved in such a hurry that it was a wonder she didn't slip in the snow on her way there. A few months ago, perhaps, Mio would have felt too shy to close the distance between them too much but, today, she threw her arms around Mindy and pulled them in for a not-too-tight hug. "I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long!" Mio beamed up at them (because Mindy was, of course, quite a bit taller), her speech littered with breathy giggles, "Everything here is soooo beautiful." And she really did mean everything.

Xavier is such a goodddd choice like eeekkk I love how soft puppy coded he is but that hes low-key a freak for you like hello (*/▽＼*) (have you seen his 5 star with the bunny ears?!?!?! I have it and it's soooooo cute). I totally get why he's your favorite *nodding head* (hes definitely that big step bro who keeps you allll to himself but only cause he loves his little sister so much and just wants to bond nothing else of course! and if he gets a little too handsy while you cuddle then no one needs to know (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧) shockingly Zayne is my most special scrumptious meow meow. I love how he seems to be pretty neutral and very =-= about things but when it comes to you he folds like a chair and im !!!! hes definitely one of those who's keeps going until youre crying and completely dumbed out of it but he keeps going cause you just feel good and he loves how your begging for more by the end of it you definitely get the pillow princess treatment with him (//ω//) also his sweet tooth... like he defiantly doing some naughty stuff with that hehehe. on another note though he'd definitely be that step dad who's does everything to get in your good graces but only cause your his super cute and adorable new step daughter, and if he buys you some new panties or lingerie what about it? daddy needs to make sure his little girl is taken care of o(>ω<)o

M srry I took sooooo long to reply . i wus trying so hard to play more so I can finally get into da lore nd all the characters but i need to level up before i get any further . also after sm thought and deliberation, zayne is so my type it hurtsss. he is actually so frickin funnie without even trying nd he’s so sooooo sexiiii. hes daddie for reals dear gawd . I got the standard 5 star for him nd I wus losing it bcuz i love how the game makes it obvious that there’s a height difference UGH.

LOL Mimi this chapter was hilarious! I loved it! Tsukki is such an A grade ass HAHAHAHA that scene where he made Hinata repeat that sentence! It was so reminiscent of when Hinata and Kageyama asked Tsukki to help them study LOL that was hands down the best scene so I’m loving the familiar vibes you wrote in this chapter hehe

And I think I commented on this next section previously somewhere but I absolutely LOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEEE the part where Tsukki gives her the library books. AAAAAAHHHHHHH omg I am inundated with a wave of fluffiness…I can’t….he is so damn sweet and it’s like…he’s only so nice to Yachi…and..you can see his true kindness beneath all his saltiness and it comes out when he’s around Yachi..and and…he’s always so encouraging of her…and trying to cheer her up when her self-esteem is low…it reminds me of that CD drama …I can’t….

OKAY THIS IS MY FAVOURITE PART SO FAR! THE LIBRARY SCENE!! AHHHHHHHHHH! I don’t know why I love this scene soooooo much. It just made me ship them 1000000x more. I think it’s because I can see this happening. It’s not ooc at all…and I just love it how Yachi be interrupting Tsukki whilst he’s trying to study and he just doesn’t mind and he’s helping her too…like going out of his way to help her… can you imagine if it were someone else? He’d be so downright nasty! LOL

I just love these two sooo much. I hope you continue writing about them <3333333

jfdafjkccdr I swear you're like singlehandedly keeping the tsukiyachi me alive. LOL. Ugh... All of your reviews make me remember how much fun I had brainstorming for all these scenes.

I had another tsukiyachi long fic idea but it's going to be a Tsukki x Reader now and it's going to hurt when I write it. 😭 My new series was originally a dropped Yachi ships idea but I revived it as a reader insert story. I might write a tsukiyachi version anyway and post it on AO3.

Soooo, I’ve made a few drawings during October this year! 20 in total, some better than others.... So I’ll just post them here, as usual ^^. I’ll post them in order of appearance!

Tiger, Outlander: Fantastic Princess. I really like how he turned out, to be honest ^^.

Lancelot, Outlander: Fantastic Princess. I really like a lot of the men from this game <3. Too bad I didn’t have any Phoenix CGs, then...

Jumin, Mystic Messenger. I failed with the skin colour, as apparently the black in the hair hadn’t dried quite enough, so it left streakes...

Kuroyuki, Nightshade. I wanted to draw so many of the people in Nightshade, but I couldn’t get around to it... So, simply Kuroyuki for now ^^.

Ichinose, Hadaka Shitsuji. I love how he turned out, although his hair isn’t as silver as it ought to be... Why did Tomoaki have to fuck him up?! He was so precious ;-;.

Yamazaki, Hakuouki: Shinsengumi Kitan. I also wanted to draw more of Hakuouki, but couldn’t... I also hate the fact how he dies every. Single. Time. But I saw he had his own route, soooooo...

Baldr, Kamigami no Asobi. My very favourite from the series~!

Chrom, Fire Emblem: Awakening. Chrom was my very first husband from the Fire Emblem series, so he’s very special to me <3.

Lucina is precious to me for pretty much the same reason, as she was my first daughter~! Ah, she’s so serious and diligent...

Libra, Fire Emblem: Awakening. I messed up with the skin colour... My colours were way too dark against a blond haircolour... I’ve learned from it, though...

Gaius, Fire Emblem: Awakening. I messed up the eyes pretty badly... Too bad.

Selkie, Fire Emblem: Fates. Have I said I have a love for cute things? No? Because I have! I like Selkie soooooo much! She’s so cute! But quite an airhead as well....

Mimi and Hetaro, Re:Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu. SOOOO CUUUUTE~! Also, their hair appears to be brown, but it’s definitely more of an orange with the original version ^^’.

I guess this is supposed to be me...? It doesn’t look a lot like me regardless, haha.

Lilith, Fire Emblem: Fates. I got some new markers, especially skin tone markers, so I had to figure out how to use them well ^^’. Anyway, I absolutely LOVE Lilith so, sooo much! I wouldn’t have mind if she were the lesbian love interest...

Navi, The Legend of Zelda, although I haven’t played this particular game yet...

Orenchi no Furo Jijou always makes me soooo happy >///<. Mikuni is SOOOOO CUUUUTE! Also, as it was the last day of October, and therefore Halloween, I wanted to make a Halloween related drawing. And once more, somehow I fucked up the eyes again ;-;. Anyway, that was all for Inktober this year~! Hopefully next year will be as succesful as well ^^.

Book Review - The Hired Girl by Laura Amy Schlitz

The Hired Girl was an interesting tale about a fourteen year old girl who runs away from home in Pennsylvania and eventually ends up as a maid in a wealthy Jewish household in Baltimore the summer of 1911.   What I Liked: Joan is very naive, optimistic, and over-dramatic. Of course, like most fourteen year olds are. She wasn't this perfect girl with perfect morals, but she actually flaws. She got in trouble for those flaws, and received consequences for them.  Joan reminded me a lot of Anne from Anne of Green Gables . (However, I think the consequences she received were actually very light when compared to what she did and her station.) Joan made me laugh numerous times for the things she said and I was surprised by that. I was expecting a straightforward historical fiction with lots of drama, not what basically became a historical comedy. Also, over the course of the novel, I really connected with Joan. For example, there was one scene where Joan meddles in the lives of her employers, and I received soooooo much secondhand embarrassment. I felt so bad for her, but also felt that she quite deserved to be given a talking to. I also enjoyed the fact that Joan was a fellow bookworm. I loved the format of the novel. Once again, I was surprised, but this time about finding the novel was in the form of a diary kept by Joan. It was this format that helped me connect so much with Joan. I also kept a diary from the time I was twelve to when I was a junior in high school. I occasionally look back on those diaries and cringe...a lot...so I couldn't be too upset by the content of Joan's thoughts. I really did love Joan's relationship with the Rosenbachs (except for David) such as with her relationships with Mr. Rosenbach, Solomon, Mimi, and especially Malka. There were many times when I felt that Joan was being a bit ungrateful to the family after all they had done for her. Mr. Rosenbach was definitely my favorite as I enjoyed his fatherly discussions with Joan, especially because of her abusive relationship with her own father. Mimi and Malka both grated on my nerves a bit, but I loved them anyway. What I Didn't Like: Joan's feeling that she needs to convert the Rosenbach family to Catholicism. Oh, boy was this plot line cringy, and I'll leave it at that. Also, Joan's obsession with David, and his complete disregard of her infatuation for her. She thought just because he gave her some presents and took her to the opera that he was madly in love with her. Not to mention, Joan is fourteen and David is twenty-one. I was wondering when she was going to decide that her "love" for him was nothing more than a crush because she was much too young for him. But then he kisses her, and her first instinct isn't that she should tell him how old she is, but she decides that they're engaged. Ugh, this whole situation did not end well, and I felt so bad for poor Joan, especially when she realizes that David was a douchecanoe the whole time. . All in all, I think The Hired Girl was pretty good. I am actually hoping for a sequel to see whether things turn out all right for her as a student in high school. The book did end on a positive note, but still I want to see more of Joan!
