KLBR-S2306 “Wanze”

- pretty typical sierpinski-23 kolibri unit for a while there. She was a less seasoned kolibri and tended to be very clingy with her cadre. Her cadremates liked to tease her affectionately about it.

- Really loves physical touch of all sorts, especially having her hair played with and her face touched, it’s very soothing to her!

- Her name Wanze comes from the German word for bug/bedbug! She got it due to her clinginess. Eventually she also received the name Fehler in a derogatory way, it means bug but more in the context of an error or failure.

- Her usual duties involved shifts down in the mines to monitor gestalt workers and ensure that they weren’t being disruptive and decreasing productivity.

- during one of these shifts a few gestalts were VERY disruptive and during a scuffle involving the gestalts, Wanze, and a poor mynah unit equipped with a mining laser, Wanze received a severe head injury from the mynah suddenly misdirecting the laser and hitting her.

- That injury would have killed her if she were a gestalt, but thanks to that handy titanium skull and nearby protektors rushing her to the hospital wing to be patched up, she survived. She had to get her faceplate replaced :(

- Wanze also completely lost her bioresonance due to the accident, and the medical officer who oversaw her care, a eule named Holt, was unable to restore it, leaving her with a pretty useless kolibri.

- Holt stepped in to keep her patient alive, and after arguing that Wanze was harmless to the kolibri hivemind (now simply just not a part of it) and through being very persistent (annoying), Adler allowed for Wanze to be reassigned to more standard protektor duties since she could still be useful, with occasional check ins to make sure she wasn’t degrading.

- This was hell for Wanze for a while, adjusting to the lack of mental noise and connection to her fellow kolibris was a shock, and she was expecting to be decommissioned.

- After finding out that she had to keep living without the hivemind, Wanze became incredibly frustrated both with herself and Holt, blaming the medic for extending her suffering. The two of them had a tense relationship for a bit due to Holt not fully understanding Wanze’s grief and Wanze refusing to cooperate with Holt. They come to understand each other after some hard talks and the two become friends, and eventually fall in love.

- In many ways Holt was the only thing in Wanze’s life that made her feel comfortable, Wanze still had to sleep and share a living space with the other kolibris, which was awkward and awful for her. There was a coldness and a distance that there hadn’t been before between them. It constantly reminds her that she’s not like them anymore.

- After the accident she also tries to avoid looking at her face, especially her forehead, where there’s three dead bioresonance crystals ready to look back at her. To make her feel better Holt likes to kiss them <3

- Her days in her relationship with Holt are some of her happiest, the two of them spend a lot of time together whenever possible. Wanze loves reading with her and pestering her as part of her “patrol route”. They love bugging each other generally and are just ridiculous your honor

- Of course those happy days don’t last :)

- I talked about this before, but tldr Holt falls ill with the sickness overtaking sierpinski, and Wanze stays by her side in the hospital in between shifts. When coming in from one of those shifts Holt tried to attack her, fully corrupted by the disease. Wanze shot and killed her in self defense… now she’s all alone :(

I wanna say it was Rosemary and Louie

They came a while after Jack and Nana (so the Red Beans are still the oldest pair) BUT Louie was def weirder than Jack. He was also the blueprint for Bitterbat.

Louie is definitely not a yandere, he's just very mischievous at times. He def doesn't have a body count like Bitterbat or Pluto - I think Pluto and Nova was when I started getting an interest in giving black girls partners with blood on their hands.

ANYWAYS - Louie and Rosemary's entire situation (for the new folks who don't know or the old folks who forgot) is that Louie is the son of Satan in my storyverse. He was meant to bring the apocalypse and end of the world on his 18th birthday but he winded up falling in love with Rosemary, who is the preacher's daughter in the small town he winded up crawling out of hell in.

Their entire story is basically an ongoing series of Louie killing demons who are trying to tear up the town and angels who are trying to send his ass back to hell, while he is trying to have a normal relationship with his girlfriend, who he can't physically touch when she wears her cross necklace due to the fact it burns his skin.

Some of that might sound real familiar because a wee bit of it got recycled into Bitterbat's story with him being the son of the Overlord of Umbra, who is meant to take over Earth - only to fall in love with some random magical girl.

I wouldn't say Louie and Rosemary's story is scrapped - it's just placed on the shelf of "Stories Rocky will get to eventually in life".

Hiya! I can't believe you found her! I forgot I shared an illustration of Astrid on my page a long time ago :) Astrid Cresswell is my OC. And yes, I did take inspiration for her name from Dirk Cresswell, who is an Auror at the Ministry. He was one of the Aurors who was supposed to arrest Dumbledore if I remember correctly. In Order of the Phoenix. The two of them have no relation, actually. I took the last name when I was toying with the idea of her being the daughter of Dirk, but I went in a different direction. The last name kind of stuck, oops :) Anyway! Astrid!

Astrid is a Slytherin, in the same year as Fred and George (born 1978). My story for her is:

She was raised by her dad, who is a Healer at St Mungo's, in the permanent ward. Her mother was a Muggle, who died in childbirth. Robb Cresswell, Astrid's father, never told his girlfriend he was a Wizard. Astrid grew up with her dad, who was always working. They lived in the hillside village of Ottery St Catchpole where a few more magical families were housed in the hills. Robb regularly dropped Astrid off at the Weasleys, where Molly was more than happy to look after Astrid when he went to work. And so Astrid grew up with her two best friends: Fred and George Weasley. But that friendship didn't last very long after Astrid got sorted into Slytherin House. From that moment on, Astrid and the twins became rivals. They will do anything to destroy each other, both on and off the Quidditch pitch.

Astrid is a Chaser, the only girl on the Slytherin team. She's constantly dealing with Marcus Flint's sexist antics but is determined to play. She has something to prove, after all. Her patronus is a fox and her wand is 9 1/2 inches, Aspen wood with a dragon heartstring core. It stylishly resembles ivory; excellent for duelling and charm-casting. It's a wand made for revolutionaries but can be temperamentful, reacting to uncontrolled emotions. Astrid has two best friends: Maeve and Dorian, both Slytherins in her year. Dorian plays on the Quidditch team with her, as a Beater. He wants to be an Auror, like his father John Dawlish and is ahead of everyone in their class in all subjects. Maeve is the oldest of seven girls and the only one sorted into Slytherin. Hogwarts is the only place where she doesn't have to be a parent to her sisters. She enjoys reading and is Captain of the chess club. Oh, and she has a pet: a tubby black and white cat named Tibo. Tibo likes treats and scratches behind his ears. He has one of those loud purrs.

Astrid herself has a toad, which is a surprisingly uncool pet for a girl of her status. He's called Samuel the Second. You don't want to know what happened to the first. Sebastian usually hangs out in Astrid's room, but she takes him with her to the greenhouses sometimes when she's doing extra credit work. And Astrid is popular! After finding out she wasn't ever going to fit in with her Gryffindor friends (not really friends anymore), she decided to really embrace the Slytherin identity. She is clever and cunning. She knows how to get what she wants. To everyone who does not know her, she is perfect. Prefect, Quidditch player, star student. Behind the scenes, it's a little more rough... But she tries. She wants to become a Healer, after a successful Quidditch career, of course.

I am still figuring out Astrid's story, but it's fun for me to work on her every now and then. I admit, it's been a while. I dream of writing a fic for her one day, but I am not much of a writer. I start with something and then I can't finish, because I get distracted and instead draw my characters. What can I say, I like to draw! Maybe one day I'll actually finish a first draft :)

heres my designs for all the important gods (I FORGOT HEPHAESTUS SORRY) in epic

thoughts/explanations behind the designs + sketches under the cut

general notes: my biggest headcanon for the gods designs is that they can be just about anything because they (within some limits) choose how they appear. so a god can look like just about anything, but its almost always mostly human. the only real rules to that i think are that 1) their design should usually try to incorporate their main symbols/domain in some way (in some way allows for a lot of range though, so athena for example is very much a bird creature since shes very associated with owls, but aphrodite has just some roses and shells in her hair, and 2) things like scars and such cant be hidden. this rule mostly only matters for athena. i realize i incorporated gold into almost all of their designs but that wasnt intentional lol. anyways let meee talk about the specific gods now. also for fun, no god has normal eyes. theyre either shadowed out entirely, weird shapes, or have no pupils. or all three! i think weird eyes is what distinguishes a god in my designs. i havent done this in my circe or calypso designs but since theyre not quite gods but adjacent i might give them similarly weird eye shapes but also pupils. idk we'll see!

aeolus: so my aeolus design is originally from a sketch i did in class. i was trying to draw telemachus with long hair based on a friends fic and then i was like "oh this looks like how i imagine aeolus would" and the next thing i drew is pretty much Just this final design. i drew aeolus very loosely, he has a clear shape but he should never be fully defined if that makes sense? so when coloring it i decided fuck it he looks like a weird mass of clouds now. its fun! i might change that but idk. also its subtly trans colors because i believe in transmasc aeolus supremacy. i imagine him moving around very freely and seeming to appear and disappear out of nowhere

apollo: so i think apollo is actually the oldest design here? which is to say that i drew apollo ONCE in my sketchbook at the start of my epic hyperfixation and got really into this specific design. i sort of wanted to color him similarly to uh, if you know ginjaninja their design for their oc kynthia? but i ended up going with more just white and gold to keep it simple. i LOVE tiny color palettes lol. the original outfit i believeee was inspired by gigi's hermes actually? but i havent looked at that design in a while so its probably changed. he has a halo that originally looked more like the sun but ive simplified it a bit. why? its cool. also i mightve stolen that from somebody else but i literally CANNOT remember. anyways one fact about this design is that the first time i drew it i labelled it WHORE. you can see i did that in the sketch here too. in his honor.

hermes: little freak guy!! theres honestly not THAT much to say here about hermes. i drew him with a little messenger bag once and i cant NOT draw him with it now i think its cute. i draw odysseus, ctimene, and telemachus all with a gaptooth, and i've never drawn anticlea but i've had the conscious thought that id give it to her too, so fuck it! hermes gets it. it comes from him. the family gaptooth is from him i hope youre happy hermes erfgfrefgfr. color scheme wise i wanted to keep it mostly simple again, i always pictured hermes with silver/white hair for some reason idk why but thats here! and he has rainbow. because is it even hermes without rainbow. i might darken this palette a bit but i am pretty happy with him.

athena: so my athena design ive drawn a ton and shes changed a lot over time. i didnt originally want her to look tooooo birdlike? and then i committed to owlthena because its just FUN man. anyways her silhouette is meant to look very closed off, her "cloak" covers most of her body, just generally shes supposed to seem sort of unapproachable. (note: hes not here but i do this with odysseus too! both because i wanted a similar kind of closed off look for him, and that i wanted him and athena to have visual parallels). her cloak is actually just her wings though! i doodled them unfolded so you can see her without them, as well as without her helmet. her helmet covers one of her eyes with a shadow (again to make her look like shes sort of hiding something), which was a design choice i made BEFORE we found out she lost an eye to zeus, so! coincidentally its good for hiding that scar :]. i doodled her with long black hair ONE WHOLE TIME and its stuck in my mind since so i have to keep that design element forever now. sorry official brunette athena youre not real to me. her color scheme was a STRUGGLE for me though. i knew i wanted to fit blue in there somewhere, but i wasnt really sure how? i eventually caved and made her mostly black and silver with a bit of blue in there. the blue and black gives more magpie energy to her than owl, but i dont know, i like it. i might mess with it more, but yeah! athena! shes really fun to draw lol. i imagine shed be animated in a very constrained sort of way most of the time like her design sort of implies. she doesnt really make big gestures or unnecessary movements she would be sort of uncanny in how still she is most of the time i think.

aries: ive had an aries design for a while so i was basically just finalizing it here. he was supposed to look both very similar to athena and very opposite of her. so they have nearly identical outfits, they both have a helmet shadowing their eyes (but it shadows both of aries' here), theyve both got a lot of animal features (although aries is less visible here, he's a bit dog inspired. you can see his tail eheh), etc. the main difference is that aries is meant to look a lot less, for lack of a better word restrained? his scarf (because its really more of a scarf than a cloak like athena has) only covers part of his face and absolutely none of his body, so it think it gives him a look more like hes ready to fight at any second than athena. i also wanted him to look very scarred/like his armor is scratched up. he and athena are both war gods, but aries is much more likely to throw himself into things and get hurt, while athena plans things in such a way where shes almost never actually hit. brute force vs strategy and whatnot. i sort of wish id made his scars golden too, to look a bit more like athena though. originally the black was red, but it looked really bad, which SUCKS because i wanted the red to contrast with athenas blue. but he just has red eyes here.

aphrodite: very little thought behind this one because my first sketch of her was like two days ago and very inspired by gigis. i sort of wanted her to look doll-like and have a cupids bow lip, but otherwise i got NOTHING girl. shes got pearls and shells in her hair to allude to her connection with the sea though. also roses because i wanted to put in one more symbol and that was a nice way to get a bit more red in there.

hera: im the least happy with this design, almost entirely because of the coloring. i sketched it being more purple, but then i realized that 1) peacocks are a lot more green and 2) IM STEALING FROM JUNE AGAIN!!! THATS HOW JUNE DREW THEIR OC IN A MIRACULOUS AU GODDAMNIT. so the colors are traditional peacock and im NOT happy with them at all. the design is also still basically stolen from june once again i am SO sorry their work is just so integrated into my mind that its a part of me now i do it without thinking. very little notes here otherwise unfortunately,,,,

zeus: weirdly enough i think this is my favorite design? which is WILD because i basically thought of it on the spot like two or three days ago for a shitpost based on a silly manwhore au-adjacent fic i read. the design over all is inspired by neal's? but honestly i think ive done my own thing with it a bit. i didnt really want to do clouds in his hair because id associated that with aeolus in my head, but then i thought of it fading into a dark grey like stormclouds, and having his scarf like lightning? and then he appeared fully formed in front of me. bro is BARELY dressed dude put a shirt on. also his eyebrows are cloud shaped like ursaluna. i fucking hate this dude but im happy with this design

poseidon: OKAY SO POSEIDON IS THE MOST OUT THERE DESIGN HERE I THINK. hes definitely the most inhuman looking one despite us having literally a bird right there, but that was somewhat intentional? and also somewhat because i had a very clear vision of him and needed to make it real exactly as i first thought sorry. anyways, for some characterization, i think with my idea of the gods choosing their appearances and poseidon being a lot more monstrous, you could say he CHOOSES to look unnerving. side note, this is very personal to me but i really like the idea of athena looking more like poseidon than any of her other family. i dont know WHY i just got really attached to that idea. so they have the same hair and somewhat similar faces i think. the resemblance isnt major but it is THERE for sure.

anyway, more character intro and analysis below, because i WILL show you my presentation of my ocs and it is long :]]

alrighty so i'm very big on personalities shining through implications rather than stating it obvious. like, i want you to know the characters through the actions and words they're portraying and how they're portrayed. so let's break it down! starting from part one introduction

ive's the middle child, so to speak. because of his past, he's prone to mischief, but unfortunately, he has to be the voice of reason between the three 😞

mayumi is the youngest, she's the most mischievous and dramatic. spurious means false or being fake, take that as you will.

yui is the oldest. while ive and mayumi tease and bully him like siblings do, they look up to him and feel safe around him. steadfast is synonymous to resolute, loyal, and unwavering

ive has the highest housekeeping skill level, so he's the designated cook. mayumi needs kitchen supervision and yui is not allowed to be in the same room as any form of kitchen appliances. doesn't matter if he's the oldest, he will not be allowed for safety reasons

ive listens to original pinoy music and they're more in touch with the filipino culture and food (he makes the best chicken adobo). mayumi listens to musicals because she loves the theatrics. yui listens to kpop especially songs with rebellion themes in it (there are groups that utilize this theme, but skz will always come to mind for me)

yui, for looking so stoic and intimidating, uses words like 'rat' and 'goose' to insult (fondly) his loved ones. the reaction is mixed (ive will forever be confused). ive is good with uno (specifically just uno, bc it would be so funny if he's shit at other games except this one thing,,,, which is like the only game they have available at the moment lol). mayumi, despite being prone to dramatics, has a *lot* of insecurities regarding being abandoned and has more than one occasion neglected to eat or drink

moving over to the characterizations in part 2! aka this one

first, the design incorporation for ive. i tried to use designs (from pinterest) that best fit their characters, and their symbolism. butterflies for freedom and transformation, and cats for independence. peep the wings and the literal cat too lol. and the quote about being an angel . regarding his tf and his past facade of being a true perfectly good person (shattered by the literal town and ivory wraith lol). green symbolizes renewal as well.

for yui, leaning heavily towards space and heavenly bodies. the moon is sometimes used to symbolize intuition and emotions, and the astronaut symbolizes hope and the desire to learn more (at least from what i looked into). over all, it draws on the concept of space. yui is into astronomy hahshs, especially with the quote. blue represents wisdom and reliability.

mayumi's case represents two opposing meanings. pink flowers, both different types, but pink nonetheless. flowers symbolize gentleness and femininity, something mayumi wants to emulate. the quote about being not who they really are is more of how mayumi, much like ive, has a facade to play but on her end is more because of her fears and insecurities as mentioned beforehand. she can be confident and catty, but much like yui, she's actually a softy. pink symbolizes femininity, in some cases, mischief and innocence

tidbit of their skills: ive and yui have a+ skulduggery. they have good sleight of hand but do not exactly always rely on theft for their work. mayumi on the other hand is really great with stealing.

for a girl with skullduggery at the highest possible in-game level, she absolutely cannot cheat her way to winning uno against ive. they made specific rules against him and shit but he still goddamn wins. mayumi remains devastated.

yui has b+ seduction. he's good but he's awkward.... ive has the highest seduction because they're wringing out orgasms out of clients at the spa to give them more money. little shit will and has had edged as many clients as he could. mayumi also has the highest seduction skill because she uses her looks to distract clients from noticing the fact she's stealing from them.

incorporating the future au in this, ive still mans the orphanage as the new caretaker (after proving himself). mayumi spends her time at the strip club or the brothel to flirt around and do some good ol' thieving. yui coordinates by being her personal security guard, so wherever mayumi goes to work for the night, he's there to watch over her in case she gets harassed. ive tries not to meddle with the underground world much though he is aware of it,,, yui and mayumi on the other hand,,,

despite being hands off with anything that'll get him in trouble (working at the spa pays well and he gets to edge clients still! things will never change!) he does still have the card to access the police station side door so he's the one sneaking around to clear their records.

on a lighter note: when mayumi and yui eventually stumble back into the orphanage (because they refuse to leave ive behind, yay for codependency), there's always going to be food waiting for them.

oh as for the relationship with the school lis (i have a favoritism!!!) + bailey:

ive and yui both adore robin, mayumi's not as into them

ive, yui, and mayumi are into sydney though. i like to think it's the trauma . just four traumatized people in different ways bonding being freaky idk

being kidnapped really irked ive, so they withdrew from kylar. yui is,,,, well he's just not into them,, kind of. mayumi is very into them and tries to help kylar improve his social life and health

ive and whitney have this 'its not like i like you (but i do)' dynamic. neither of them are upfront about it but they are genuine when needed be. yui does not like whitney, they're not enemies per se but the less interactions the better. mayumi plays along with whitney's shenanigans to an extent! reciprocating whit's interest towards her is on the 3 scale between 1-5.

(once dynamics are established and bad blood are cleared up, they chill in robin's room to play video games - mostly robin and kylar. i just want them all to be best buds :[)

for bailey, mayumi tries not to interact with them much. she's not exactly as physically strong as ive and yui, but she tries to hold herself despite feeling intimidated. ive can get away with most things with bailey. they've spent the longest time under bailey's care, and by god does that man care in his own way . yui rebels against bailey but not always out of worry for mayumi and ive's safety if he somehow loses and gets punished for rebelling.

I live to provide so: The Chestappen kids in order from olders to youngest:

Pato - He's the oldest of the group and at first he was only Checo's but when Max tried to win Sergio over Patricio was his source of knowledge about Mexico. Sergio is proud of him (even though he works with McLaren) and Max treats him more like a buddy than a son (shameful, Sergio can't be the bad cop all the time), Pato admires them both but likes Sergio more;

Yuki - Adopted by both but it was Sergio's idea - he wanted to protect the kid that reminded him of Kamui from whatever RBR could do and he made Max invested too so they'll have more power against Marko's racist ass. Yuki doesn't mind them babying him a little (Checo gives him food and Max is fun to argue with so it's all good) and doesn't really care;

Logan - Sergio took him in because who wouldn't fall for that helpless kicked puppy look and Max didn't really have a say in that (Checo was angry with him and he wanted to win favours); they supported him through the pains of being in Williams and offered advice after he was dropped from the team;

Oscar - unofficial chestappen kid, he would want to be one but the team wouldn't let him; Sergio likes him and treats him well but Max isn't sure how to feel about that - he can admit Oscar is a good driver but doesn't like how he talks to Checo (or about Checo with Lando);

Liam - the first legitimate chestappen kid, he wants to be like Max but also admires Checo. Sergio wishes him all the best and swore to himself that he wouldn't let RBR hurt him (not possible to do but well) and Max is a bit sad for Daniel but he's proud of his son;

Hamda - she's definitely Max's favourite, she's happy with the unofficial family - Sergio makes her laugh and Max helps her improve; she kind of willed herself into the chestappen group but neither minded; (she has Sergio's character and wit so Max is a little scared of her);

Franco - that's the golden child, in Sergio's eyes he could do no wrong and he knows how to play his cards well and get the older man on his side. A bit cheeky but fun. Max was jealous at first but now he thinks Franco will be a great driver and Checo is completly enamoured with the kid - he will bite if anyone hurts him;

Ollie - stolen from Charlos = they were going through their divorce era, now it's good but Sergio refuses to let him go back (he wants to avoid future drama after Abu Dhabi, or so he says), Max likes him enough but this is the moment he started to be concerned about Checo's adopting habit - he tries to be firm but Ollie and Sergio's puppy eyes broke down his defences - now the little red driver is part of their family.

Kimi - while he is not yet a part of the family and Toto is trying his best to ensure Sergio won't have the chance to adopt him, there is no way the baby driver won't be in the chestappen flock as soon as he is in F1 fully - he's skilled - something Max likes - and he's determinated - something Sergio adores; in short - he will be the youngest Chestappen baby before we can even realise what's going on;

I know this is ridiculous but it was fan to imagine (since I don't want you to get any hate for my delusions I'm gonna state - IT'S JUST FICTION SO PLEASE TREAT IT ACORDINGLY)

Anon, you have opened my eyes! I mean, I know Checo adopts every rookie in the paddock, but you are so right in how everything went down!!

First, of course Pato has to be the oldest! (although I differ and think it's both, Checo's and Max's, he looks just like them!!). Pato being in McLaren is such a sore spot, but Checo loves him anyway, and Max is trying to be the cool dad.

Yuki is their baby, the first rookie they adopted together, and Checo felt he owed this to Kamui. He's so spoiled, so this is why he sometimes is just a brat and also a little ball of fury.

Logan hurts, Checo tried hard to protect him, I mean, they had been chatting in the drivers' parade lately, but Checo and Max will support him no matter what (when he gets in Indy, they will fight to see who they will support, Pato or Logan).

Oscar... I'm torn. I can see it, but he's in McLaren and with Lando.

Oh, Liam is to me, the second legitimate Chestappen kiddo (the first is Pato). And they know he deserves better and will fight for him and stop Yuki from bullying him (too much).

Hamda IS SO THE FAVORITE! We can see in all their interactions they both love her, but Max has a soft spot for her. And she's so adorable and knows she has them wrapped around her little finger.

Franco is Sergio's favorite, he thinks he can do not wrong, and Max has to accept it recluntanly.

Oh anon, here I disagree, Ollie has to stay with Charlos, even if they are divorced. Lewis maybe tries too hard to be the father that stepped up (like Max) but he never will manage to do so.

Kimi is going where Ollie goes, so I think he will be adopted by Charlos too, even when they are divorced.

Please, tell me all about the OC kiddos!! I hope we get more girls, here we have too many guys, this is why Hamda is the favorite.

I'm glad you think they are cute!! You're right she's not going to feel thrilled to find out she was just chosen blindly. I mean in the end don't we all want to be loved? She will feel like she mentioned, "I want to feel wanted,"

But we also know Levi isn't the one to show that much attention either. I also wanted to be like "come on dude, tell her she's pretty". Levi just has so much going on in his life hahaha he is so stressed. Also, as he mentioned, I fear Levi has a very practical mindset "there's a problem? Say it, I'll solve it". It's a very men's mindset "you have a problem? I offer solutions" but we women want to feel heard and emotionally supported not just "solved".

He has a lot to learn in that department.

But... Levi won't be the one to take that she wants another alpha lightly. In my mind, the "system" for AO couples (in nature) is:

-alphas start to show signs of rut. They fight between them to show off.

-omegas CHOOSE the one they want.

-alphas prove that they are worthy partners by creating a place for them to nest, food for their upcoming heat etc.

Omegas choose, Levi's alpha instincts are like "what do you mean you didn't choose me?!" Of course he's not going to show it much, we know Levi.... But his inner alpha isn't particularly thrilling either 🤣🤣

Tony/Brooklyn & Lynn/Manhattan going on vacation, Lynn said she’d also help carry bags…alas. Anyways they’re in a Leyendecker color study I did & that I am very proud of how it came out ! Tony & Lynn are only married for legal purposes cause of the 1898 amalgamation of NYC (which gives us 5 boroughs).

Also I haven’t talked about the boroughoes in ages! I’ve been very focused on my Alfred & states lore that I haven’t touched my NYC lore 😭❤️ my OG lore. I’ll share some major changes and other thoughts below the cut. Also scroll the bottom for a little doodle of the boroughs :D

I do love my borough ocs dearly they’re my oldest babies (9/10 years and going ❤️). And I love working on their lore BUT I feel a lot of the depth of their lore can be better discussed if I also work on lore at a state (Jennie/ New York State) and a national (Alfred/USA) level. Don’t worry I haven’t casted them aside, just cooking and learning new things as I work on Jennie & Alfred so I can better understand how different relationship dynamics impact each borough (especially as Lynn/Manhattan is basically their boss).

Before I delve into major changes in my lore, for newer folks, I’m gonna give a brief description of each borough oc:

Manaháhtaan “Lynn Cooper” / Manhattan borough is essentially the “boss” of all the boroughs. She’s born slightly before European colonization to Ms. Munsee Lenape and Mr. Mohican. For various reasons, she’s not particularly close to her parents nowadays. Lynn is a bit like a princess. She expects only the finest things in life, and she’s known to be perhaps a bit greedy and definitely cut-throat ambitious and will squash you like a bug if she deems you unworthy, but she’s quite charming. Her loud, bold, intense, no nonsense, but with perhaps a flirtatious smile makes her someone people wanna be around. She’s close friends with her fellow boroughs, Jennie/ New York State, and Alfred/ USA.

Anthonij “Tony” Cohen/ Brooklyn is a proud man who is always been rather peeved his best friend and greatest rival is essentially his boss and his legal wife, but he can’t ever really hate her. However, Tony will absolutely dig in his heels and give Lynn a hard time like pretending he’s a separate city still. His gregarious nature, and his interests in many topics from fashion to politics makes him someone you want to get know better. On another note, Tony was born to human parents during the New Netherland period, and he’s of African-American and Ashkenazi Jewish descent. Tony began to connect more with Judaism in the late 1800s specifically Reform Judaism. Tony is dating Andy/Queens, and he likes hanging out with his friends (and also making fun of them). Tony is always a bit peeved at Jennie for making him and Lynn marry, but they mostly get along, and they often celebrate Jewish holidays together (alongside with Jennie’s sister Elise/ New Jersey). Tony is also good friends with Alfred.

Andrew “Andy” Perez/ Queens was born to human parents some point during the late 1800s and is of Dominican and Chinese (probably Cantonese) descent. He’s a rather reserved man. He does have a bit of a bitch face, but he’s honestly quite friendly if you get him talking. He enjoys a more quiet pace of life. You’ll find him hanging around his neighborhoods, playing chess or helping folks out or just yapping. During the summer, you’re highly likely to find him at Rockaway beach catching some waves.

Rodrick “Rodrigo” Madden/ The Bronx was born to human parents in the late 1800s and he’s of Puerto Rican and Irish descent. Nowadays, he does try to act like Mr. Tough guy, but that’s to hide the fact he doesn’t wanna be hurt again. He’s not been treated well by Lynn as a friend in the past and he somewhat blames his more naive and rather naturally friendly nature as the reason why. But Rodrigo is a sweetheart. His heart has almost always been in the right place. He’ll give you the clothes off his back even if it hurt him. He has a pet calico cat named Teddy that was once a barn cat from he used to be farmer (also I randomly decided the cat also immortal cause I can’t mentally kill off this cat).

François “Frank” Russo/Staten Island was born to human parents during the New Netherland period and is of Walloon and Italian (probably Neapolitan) descent. He can be rather intense especially when he’s passionate about something, and often thinks of himself as the center of universe. He may off as an annoying asshole but if you put aside the self centered attitude, the extreme bouts of passion and stubbornness, and maybe his lack of manners- you’ll find he’s not a bad guy.

Also why borough ocs, Egg? Uh cause I can. When I made them, no one else was doing this and I felt a New York City character can’t be explained in just a character alone plus culturally and politically the boroughs are actual entities thus for me mentally justifies why I could personify them.

OK also one of the more major changes to the lore is that Lynn & Tony are now legally married due to the 1898 amalgamation. As I mentioned numerous times on this blog, I want to explore more serious and complicated themes especially as I’ve gotten older. I now interpret the amalgamation a bit like a marriage between New York City (then just Lynn) and the city of Brooklyn. They’re still friends/rivals. Also Tony is gay. But I’m interested in exploring the idea of these personifications being public figures and how aspects maybe like tokenization, homophobia, misogyny can also impact them. I’ll expand on this another time as I don’t want to take away from the point of this post.

The other major update is that Andy/Queens & Rodrigo/the Bronx only come into existence as aeterni (borrowing term from a pirenaia on twitter) when they’re older kids and at some point btwn 1870s-1890s. This just changes their aging timeline a bit is all. I made this change cause I really want my borough ocs to reflect the inhabitants and groups that have had significant influences on the culture of this city. As Rodrigo is Puerto Rican / Irish in his ethnic background and Andy is Chinese / Dominican, the most significant beginnings of the migration of these groups to the city started in the late 1800s (picked up x1000 post wwii). It wasn’t like impossible before but I felt the explanation was too loose ++ the Bronx & Queens were just beginning to urbanize at this period & beforehand I’m gonna argue did not have much of a major cultural thing. I need both a major cultural aspect and some sort of political aspect to create ocs. Alsooo eastern Bronx as a character no longer exists in this universe- Frances rip 🙏

hello 🤭 oc lore time! oc is nameless for now so i will simply be referring to them as "oc" HAHAHHA

oc was one of the oldest of the orphans, who was just two years short of aging out of the system before being "chosen" at age 16 (would aging out have been a better fate, or would it all have ended the same anyways? oc still wonders to this day), who was taken in by playtime co. following the death of their mother at age 10 after no other relatives came forward to take her child. oc is kind and calm and smart—good in all of the subjects, though with fairly average physical abilities aside from their reflexes, which were borderline cat-like. it was not uncommon to see them absolutely snatch up one of the younger orphans before that child could get hurt somehow. oc doesn't especially like the younger kids and never has, but still does feel responsible for them as the one who is quite possibly the oldest.

now, at the young and tender age of 14, oc discovered the truth of playtime co's operations; i like to think one of the scientists promised that if they stayed quiet, said nothing and did nothing, and made themselves as unremarkable as possible, they just might be able to age out and get away (something tells me that would not have happened anyways). this could be a canon character but i'm still thinking about who it would be. anyways! oc did not sleep that night, too scared to even try. and after that night, they began counting down the days until they would turn 18, and started meticulously failing at some things while just being average at others and playing dumb about it for the next two years.

(which, of course, did not go unnoticed by harley. he knew better. they knew better than to think they could fool him, but... you know. they still had to try.)

unfortunately, two years shy of their 18th birthday, they were chosen.

they retained all cognitive function but struggled deeply with reflexes and general movement for a while, something that harley was deeply frustrated about. thankfully, oc regained their physical ability after some time.

anyways!

what was a kind and calm child became cynically cruel and chaotic and honestly as much of a problem as they could possibly be to every single person responsible for hurting them like this. they thrived on pissing harley off, because no matter how much agony it caused them, they loved knowing that he was no more emotionally mature than they were! what a little headache, cackling through the pain and tears, biting and scratching and fighting until their consciousness slipped away because the agony was just too much to bear.

you think harley wanted yarnaby completely dependent upon him? what he wanted for oc was worse, because as much of a problem as they were, their intelligence and reflexes were valuable.

eventually, this behavior ceases—but only towards dr. sawyer, which is precisely what he wanted, because guess what? when the others decide to... knock harley down a peg, so to speak, they also forfeit all control of oc because harley was the only one they would begrudgingly obey.

because no matter what the others do, they will never hurt oc as badly as harley did.

YO I THINK WE ACTUALLY DO SHARE THE SAME BRAIN………. I LOVE THEEMMMM 🥺🥺🥺🥺 i haven’t decided what toy to assign to lumi (perhaps a… marionette? i’ve always wanted to make a sort of ‘puppet’ theme for my ocs, but none of them really fit the bill aside from lumi 🙏), but.

lumi 🤝 oc trying to remain as insignificant as a speck of dust as much as possible so as to not attractunwanted attention when they were orphans and then very begrudgingly obeying harley when they were converted into a bigger body

perhaps they can find a sort of odd kinship when it comes to their feelings about the doctor? 🥺🙏 GASP do you think they met when they were still orphan children? lumi doesn’t exactly. Uhm. ‘fit in,’ so to speak––she doesn’t like the younger kids either BFNDJDF more so because she knows what’s going to happen to them and doesn’t want to get attached just to get hurt again. she does watch them a lot, though, and has most likely seen your oc once or thrice. (i imagine she gets bored very easily in the orphanage)

Hi! I'd love to share some OCs I've had in mind. (I'll have to give myself a little more time to think of Cliva kiddos, but I do have some Broppy kiddos that I had a WIP sitting in my to-do folder for a while) But anyway, here they are!

Rosie is the one of the right, oldest of Broppy's kiddos and named after Grandma Rosiepuff. I see her personality being like that of Dora from Dora and the Lost City of Gold - bubbly and outgoing like her mother, but at the same time very knowledgeable about survivalist methods and always very crazy-prepared like her father.

Aside from her parents, gets along best with her Aunt Viva

Flo is the one on the left, younger of the two and named after Floyd. True to her name, she's got a serious rap flow and becomes good friends with Tiny Diamond. Aside from her parents, gets along best with Bruce and Clay and will try to rap-battle them. Likes John Dory for his kicked-back attitude, and is gently reminded by Floyd that not all in life is about the 'bling-a-ding'😂
