All Yours.
Toby Rodgers x Werewolf!Fem!Reader
Summary: You are assumed dead, after going on a walk and not coming back. Toby finds evidence of the 'death' and thinks the worst. You return hours later, your ability to heal not working well. Toby helps you clean up, which leads to much more.
A/N: This is a one-shot for a story I am writing for Toby, where reader is a werewolf. If anything is confusing in this one-shot, God I pray not, it is connected to my story and things will fall in place as I post it! Divider made by cafekitsune! Please go easy on me, this my first time writing smut, or anything really, in about 2 years, due to writer's block, so things may be clunky.
Warnings: 18+ minors DNI!, P in V, descriptions of violence and murder, no protection. (If I have forgotten one, please let me know!)
Word count: 3k

“Wh- What now?” Toby yelled. “Sh-she is d-dead!” He was getting worked up, stuttering more than usual.
Tim and Brian couldn’t do anything, nothing that would be helpful anyway, so they listened. They listened for so long they were to the point of ‘listening’. Which consisted of sitting in the room and dissociating while looking interested.
Toby was getting louder, pacing faster, unsure of how to handle the situation. “Are y-you even li-listening to m-me? SHE’S GONE!”
Before Tim or Brian could say anything, there was a loud bang on the cabin’s front door. As soon as all their eyes shot in the direction of the sound, the doorknob was ripped from the door, leaving a gaping hole where it once was. A few bloody fingers could be seen going into the hole to open the door.
The door swung open and there you stood, bloody and bruised. The three men looked at you in awe and confusion.
“How-?”
“Don’t fucking speak to me,” you growled, “I am going to take a shower.”
Toby just stood there, unable to process the fact that you were actually alive, you may have looked like shit, but there you were, covered in blood and looking hotter than ever.
-_-_-_-_-_-_-
As the cold water started to run down your body, the dried blood and dirt washed away. The images of the people that had been mauled, maimed, and mutilated didn't go anywhere, though, as a matter of fact, they just lingered and kept replaying.
“Shut up! You stupid fucking cunt, just stay down. Quit fighting back, you won’t win.”
A hand grabbed your hair as you were being yelled at, dragging you over to the lake you had been brought to to be thrown in after being killed. The thought of not being able to swim crossed momentarily, it was gone as soon as it seemed to come. Staying conscious was getting harder by the minute, eyes trying to close and breathing was almost impossible.
Unsure of what to do, a last burst of adrenaline hit, right before getting dunked into the lake. Your hand wrapped itself in the hair of the woman holding you, and dragged her off the dock with you.
Fighting underwater was not as easy as one would hope for in this situation. All you could do was hold on to the throat of the woman trying to murder you. If you’re dying, so is that bitch. Time felt almost as if it was slowed, as you waited for the bitch’s partner in crime to try to help her, he never showed.
Even struggling was hard, but losing is something you were never okay with, you had to win, or not die. Finally, life seemed to have left the woman, but you weren't about to let her trick you. You pulled yourself above the water, dragging the woman with you.
Your hand scrunched a bunch of the woman's hair, and quickly, with all the strength you could muster, you smashed her head into the dock, probably a little more than what would kill her. She will not be coming back from that one, you made sure of it.
As you finished, you stood up and looked down, blood was everywhere, yours and your attacker’s. You had no time to worry about that though, there was a man, somewhere close, who also wanted you dead. Blood loss and pain seemed to start setting in as you reached the grass, knees bruising as you hit the ground.
“What the fuck did they do to me? Why am I not healing? And where the fuck is-?”
Dead. As soon as you saw something, or someone, out of your peripheral vision running off, you noticed the guy was way beyond dead. You gave the woman you left on the dock one last glance, there was absolutely no chance she was coming back, unless someone were to gorilla glue her brain back together.
With both of them dead, you took a few minutes to lay in the grass, in the hopes that regulating your heart rate would start the healing process. It did not.
-_-_-_-_-_-_-
Tears fell down your cheeks as you sat on the floor of the shower, the back of your head against the wall. Pain was something foreign to you, considering your healing factor, but the healing wasn’t happening, not as fast as usual anyway. The pain was almost unbearable, but the feeling of possibly being dramatic due to never having to feel pain for long seemed to cross your mind.
Unaware of how long you’d be sitting under the warm water, you realized it had been at least 20 minutes. The water started to get cold, the change in temperature wasn’t a bother, considering you run hot anyway, but that meant someone would be checking on you soon, probably Toby. You two had gotten close recently, very close. Too close, according to Tim.
Keeping your composure under the cold water was getting hard, the adrenaline had worn off and everything hurt. Suddenly, you were hyper aware of every bruise and open wound you had, your legs hurt, your body ached, and breathing started getting hard again. A panic attack hit.
A heavy knock hit the bathroom door, and the door opened. The realization of how loud you were sobbing seemed to bring you back to reality. Trying to speak to Tim, who just slung the bathroom door wide open, was impossible at the time, the only thing coming from you were sobs.
The shower curtain moved to the side ever so slightly, Tim’s eyes met yours as you looked up at him, curled into a tight ball, knees against your chest.
“He wanted me to check on you first, can he come in?” Tim seemed to be hiding the worry he had for you, hoping that if he didn’t worry, Toby wouldn’t worry as much. That didn't work. Toby peeked over Tim’s shoulder to see how fucked up you were.
“G-get out Tim,” Toby shoved Tim aside and out the door. Once the bathroom door closed, Toby just stared at you for a minute, taking in the wounds that were not healing. “Why are you st-still bleeding? I th-thought you-.”
Your eyes stayed glued to the wall in front of you, unmoving as your head rested on your knees. Words weren’t coming easy, the panic attack seemed to subside, breathing still seemed to be a big task, and you felt mentally numb.
Out of the corner of your eye, you noticed Toby crouching now and knew he wouldn’t go away without getting the information he wanted and making sure you were okay, and since being okay was not a thing at the moment, he would not be leaving.
“If you’re just gonna sit there and stare at me like that, you might as well get in.” You deadpan, eyes still glued to the wall. “It’s not like you haven’t seen me naked before.”
His eyes widened, “I-I,” he stuttered out, shocked by your offer. “I’ll h-have you know, I haven't ever s-seen you n-naked by ch-choice. You don’t l-lock doors.” He was flustered, but he wasn’t going to turn down the offer. He started to remove his clothes, and quickly.
While trying to stand up so Toby could get in the shower, stars filled your vision and put you right back on your ass and a little yelp left your throat. You leaned into the wall again, completely and utterly ready to give up.
Toby sat down beside you, both of you completely vulnerable, and seemed to be scanning the severity of the damage to your body. He was quiet, more quiet than usual, it was almost scary. His eyes finally made his way up to yours, tears started streaming once again. Never in your life had you wanted to be held so badly, you had always been able to be independent and take care of yourself.
With his eyes still locked on yours, the words ‘hold me,’ slipped from your lips. Without hesitation he pulled you into him, causing you to wince with how fast and rough the action was.
“S-sorry,” he whispered as he gently loosened his grip on you. His fingers started tracing the bruises on your arms, then stomach, then your thighs. Something about him having to be gentle with you for the first time, made you feel a way, you couldn’t tell what that way was, but it was nice.
Leaning into him was a lot better than leaning on that hard ass wall, as he continued looking over your body, you listened to his heart as your head rested against his chest, regulating your own breathing and heart rate.
Pain started to slowly subside, your chest was not as tight, and the anxiety had melted away. Healing still wasn’t happening, at least not fast enough, it only seemed to be slowly coming back, and being the most impatient person in the world it might as well just be not working.
“I don’t understand why I am not healing,” you thought aloud, “If you're done looking at my tits from over my shoulder, will you help me just clean up? I feel absolutely disgusting.”
Toby was flustered once more, and hid his face in your shoulder for a moment. “Y-yeah, I can,” he whispered before helping you up.
Being in such a vulnerable state with you was something he never thought would happen, at least not when you first met anyway. Something about the innocence of sitting with each other, naked in the shower, made him want more than that. He was craving you, in so many different ways.
His impulse control was in overdrive but now, he didn’t want to hurt you, he was supposed to help you clean yourself up. All he could think about, though, was having his way with you. His hands were a little shaky now, trying not to think about grabbing you and pushing you against the wall. That seemed to be the only thought his brain could manage to give him, he was getting frustrated.
“You know, as a werewolf, I can smell many different pheromones, and I-,” you were quickly interrupted before you could finish the sentence.
“Sh-shut the f-fuck up!” Toby practically shouted. “You s-stink and you need h-help showering, let me f-finish helping you.”
“How about I help you after this, then? If I’m not too sore anymore.”
The look on Toby’s face was of pure confusion, “with what?”
You shook your head, “Let’s just finish here first.”
-_-_-_-_-_-_-
Toby caught on a lot quicker than you thought he would, you hadn’t seen him move that fast and sporadic before. He needed you though, and when you offered yourself to him, even with the state you were in, he was not going to let opportunity slip away.
Your healing seemed to be back to a semi-normal speed. All you felt were light aches and any open wound looked like a gnarly scar, but they were closed up and not bleeding. What more could someone ask for?
“What the fuck were you two doing in there?” Brian asked, but quickly took the question back. “You know, don’t actually answer that. You two share way too much information already. Pretend I never asked, I am leaving.”
As Brian walked away, Toby practically dragged you to his room. His excitement was unmatched. He has wanted to do this since you two beat the shit out of each other sparring, which was about three weeks ago. Something about you looking feral unlocked something within him.
The thought of you scraping your sharp canine teeth across his neck, bringing blood to the surface while riding his thigh was something he never knew he wanted or needed. He wanted to be buried deep in your pussy, he wanted to be between your thighs, he wanted, no he needed to have you in every way possible.
Toby couldn’t decide what to do first, his thoughts were racing as you stood behind him while he locked the door. Once it was locked, he turned to you and lost the little bit of composure he had left. He grabbed you and ripped the shirt you had just put on after the shower completely off your body, and pushed you down on his bed.
Now all that was left on you was your panties, his focus wasn’t there yet, though. His kisses were sloppy yet held so much passion. His hands seemed to wander your body as he started kissing down your jaw line and making his way to your collarbone.
A small gasp escaped you when his hands finally found their way to your breasts. The way he squeezed them made you think he’d been waiting for the moment. The way he held onto you in general made you wonder how long he’d been wanting this. You had to admit, you had also been waiting for this, the way Toby had been acting around you, the way his glances started lingering, or how you could hear his heart rate change slightly when he’d see you.
His lips were back on yours now, and he was growing more and more desperate by the second, he whined a little as he started grinding into your thigh. You smirked when you realized how needy he was. He took that as an opportunity to slip his tongue into your mouth.
You could tell he didn’t know what to do next, the way he moved, twitched, and whined into the kisses. Pulling away from his lips for a moment caused him to become confused, but when your hands moved down his chest and started pulling at his pants he realized you weren’t trying to get away, you were helping him. A giggle came from you when you saw the look on his face.
“Wh-what? D-did I do something wr-wrong?” He was slightly worried.
As you shook your head, your hands went to his hair and pulled back into a kiss. He seemed to melt into you. He was so rough, even while trying to not be rough, then there was you. So gentle and loving. Despite being some sort of monster, you were just so patient, it drove him crazy, he loved it.
“I, I don’t kn-know what to d-do first.” He stuttered through his kisses.
Deciding to take things in your own hands so he wouldn't have to decide, you flipped him onto his back. His eyes went wide, he forgot about your strength, he was not going to argue though. With you on top, he seemed to be in awe. The way you looked was angelic.
“Are you ready?”
All that came from Toby was a whine as you went to sit on him, but you were going slow, way too slow. His hands grabbed your hips hard enough to bruise you as he forced you down. He started grinding up into you, and moving your hips whichever way he wanted, there was no rhythm, just random thrusting.
Now it was your turn to whine. Your hands rested on his abdomen and your claws started to come out. A growl escaped you, as your hips rocked in a more rhythmic way, syncing with his.. The moans and little growls rumbling through you were almost enough to get Toby to cum then and there.
His grip tightened on your hips as he started controlling your movements again, very sporadically. You didn’t care though, you were close too.
“Toby, I’m…” was all you could manage before a warm feeling came over you and you were orgasming. Your head went back and your eyes shut tight, and with your pussy clenching around his dick as you rocked your hips through your high, Toby quickly found ecstasy after you.
A string of moans and cusses came from Toby as he rode out his high with you still on his dick. He didn't want you to move, not yet. His grip on your hips was so tight by now that his knuckles were white. It felt as if he was making sure this was real.
“F-fuck,” He managed to moan out. “That was s-so much b-better than any of the p-porn I’ve ev-ever watched.”
You giggled again as you rolled from the top of Toby to the side of him. You laid your head on his chest for a moment, just listening to his heart. You gently kissed his cheek, before throwing your legs over the side of his bed and putting on a shirt that was on his floor. You were almost certain it was not a clean shirt, you used it though, just in case Tim or Brian came in and saw you with absolutely nothing on. Not that they would ask you any questions about what you were doing though. They have learned their lesson asking that one too many times.
“I don’t know how much longer they will be gone, but I have to pee. When I come back-”
“We’re fucking even ha-harder. I have s-so many th-things I want to try wi-with you.” Toby was very serious saying this, but laughed a little, until he heard Tim and Brian walk in through the front door. He wasn’t going to be able to do anything with you now, they would complain about the noise.
Brian was quick to speak as he walked in, “We’re back, please don’t be fucking in my line of sight.”
Tim shook his head at that statement. “I am going to bed, if you are fucking, do it quietly,”
“They are such party poopers. Looks like it’s bedtime at the old folks home. Whatever, you good if I sleep in here tonight? That couch is going to give me tetanus with those rusty springs stabbing me in my ass cheeks.”
Toby looked from you to his bed, and gave you a strange look. “Your bed is way more comfy!”
“H-how do you kn-know that?”
“I take naps in here when you’re out or whatever.” You spoke matter of factly. The two of you stared at each other, unblinking for about ten seconds. Toby sighed, and promptly made a small  space for you.
“D-don't make this a habit.”
“Sleeping in your room? We just fucked in your bed. Shut up.”

*Squid Squidward wide awake meme* ALRIGHT, hear me out - I've been saying for a while how much Witcher 3 reminds me of the Brazilian countriside (more specific Minas Gerais). And ever since I had this madlad dream of a Brazilian Witcher except we called them Bruxeiros (the X here is pronounced like "SH" not like the American "X" - its kind of a meme here, kind of a "literal" PT-BR translation, it's complicated), and they fight Brazilian folklore badass stuff like Boitatá (fucking giant fire snake), Iaras (river mermaids) and un-curse women that became Mula Sem Cabeça (literally headless mules running around with fire coming out their necks). These are all some of our most well-known folklore for real, lol (HIGHLY recommend season 1 of Brazilian Netflix show Invisible City if you wanna see more! It's REALLY good!)
ANYWAY. I was in my kitchen making toast at midnight, when it occured to me. I had A VisionTM. Brazilian Witcher battle music would be like. Floral Fury.
youtube
For those unfamiliar, this specific Cuphead theme is 200% oldschool Brazilian samba - yeah the "weird straw-against-plastic-lid" sound is an actual instrument, it's called cuíca lol "Nah, but this is too happy and cheerful", you say. Alright, you are correct, maybe it doesn't fit to be a battle theme for the Bruxeiros. HOW ABOUT SEPULTURA, THEN
youtube
SEPULTURA, THE BRAZILIAN METAL BAND, who performed this song as soundtrack for the BR movie "Lisbela e o Prisioneiro" (one of my fucking faves btw), and it the theme song for Frederico Evandro, a character who's ruthless hitman ("Matador").
BRO. IMAGINE. The peaceful and colorfully bucolic countryside of Minas Gerais and you are there fighting a Brazilian Werewolf (cause they are different from the European werewolf, we have several types btw), with THAT playing as battle theme.
Another good contender is Break of Reality's rendition of "As Bachianas n5" by Villa-Lobos (guy was a badass proeminend classical music composer who loved to mix in Brazilian folk elements with the classical music sttuff, pissing off a lot of purists in the process lol, good for him)
"As Bachianas n5" is probably Villas' most famous piece, it's originally a GORGEOUS aria, classically sung in Brazilian Portuguese.
SEVERAL people covered this song, including Sandy from sibling duo Sandy & Junior (they were EXTREMELY POPULAR with kids and teens back in the 90s/early 2000s); also people from all around the world covered it. You get it, it's pretty legit and famous AF.
THEN came Break of Reality a few years ago
with THIS badass cover:
youtube
LOOK.
THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE VERSIONS OF THIS SONG. I STAN THIS COVER SO HIGH. I LOVE how it is sweet and emotional, but it brings a totally different, new, raw aspect to it that is so strangely fitting to this song (I can't explain, it just is). I can easily imagine this in the Bruxeiro!AU as battle music, even more cause a lot of the og Witcher 3 OST is full of slavic folk music that doesn't even reflect the Battling of Monsters thing - "...Steel For Humans" is like, a song sung by girls on wedding/harvest festivals, lol.
ON THAT NOTE, I think we could end this crazy ass post by including some of the folk / afro-Brazilian culture as well, which is only fair, and add this one, which I LOVE, "Caxangá / Escravos de Jó" by Milton Nascimento (my beloved <3) and folk singer Clementina de Jesus:
youtube
Milton is known to sing in high, ethereal vocalizations and extremely emotional lyrics. Guy is just A Fucking Legend fr. If there's a bard in my Bruxeiro!AU it's def Milton, I love his work so so so much! He's also known for mixing up influences from afro-brazilian culture, as you can see in here!
Stay tuned for more posts like this that can happen again at any moment or never again, lol

OH MY GOD I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!
THAT ENTIRE FREAKING SCILES AND LIAM SEQUENCE I CANNOT!! XD XD
These two are literally the most chaotic of dumb*sses and I seriously wonder how they ever accomplish anything sometimes, but I love them anyways. XD <3
Like, for starters, I love that Scott's first call is always Stiles. The fact that his immediate reaction to "f*ck I messed up" is always "Stiles help" is just so wholesome and also so funny and high-key so necessary sometimes.
THAT SAID.
Absolutely CACKLING at all of Stiles's judgement of Scott and his horrible plan (which, like, in Scott's defense, what was he SUPPOSED to do? They barely know Liam, and explaining the whole "hey you're a werewolf now" thing right then and there and hoping that wouldn't incredibly backfire (though, clearly it backfired regardless lol) probably wouldn't have been much better), especially considering that, as Scott so beautifully points out later, Stiles's plan is also horrible. XD
But seriously, that whole freaking sequence.
Like, the way that Scott is just avoiding telling Stiles exactly what happened (which is ridiculous, because you have to tell him regardless or you're not gonna get anywhere, bud XD), and then the FACE Stiles makes when he sees Liam in the bathtub is just pure gold. And then the way he keeps looking at Scott with this almost parental "what am I gonna do with you?" look as Scott is just going "I'm sorry, I panicked, just help me fix it please". XD
"As a reminder, this is why I always come up with the plans. Your plans suck." "I know. Which is why I called you. So what do we do?"
And then...what was the plan, exactly??
To...scare him even more? To make him feel like you're threatening him? To let him get away?
Because...mission accomplished. XD (Though, as an aside, Liam did such a good job with that manipulation with the crying to escape, so...full pointers, and he is gonna make a great addition to the pack. <3)
Like, the "plan" literally just gets MORE chaotic and just gets EVEN WORSE and I CANNOT with these two. XD XD
Scott: Liam, what happened to you, what I did to you, which I had to do in order to save you….it’s gonna change you. Stiles: Unless it kills you. ...shouldn’t have said that. Liam: ...what? Stiles: Uh... Liam: *starts tearing up* Stiles: Uh oh. Uhhhhh oh. Is he...is he crying? Scott: Liam, it's okay. You're gonna be alright. You're not gonna die. Stiles: Probably not. Scott: Stop it. Stiles: K possibly not. Scott: Would you just help me untie him? Stiles: Yep.
Wait so now you're just gonna untie him??
YOU GUYS EXPLAINED NOTHING!
NOTHING!!
They, to paraphrase Stiles, said some very confusing things that only got more confusing because of those confusing things that were already said, without ever really explaining anything, and at this point, Liam probably just thinks he REALLY pissed off the wrong upperclassmen, when really, Scott and Stiles are just complete dumb*sses who have no idea how to handle this new problem they've been presented with and I just... (Though, as an aside, we gotta appreciate that Liam doesn’t pull a Jackson and tell the cops that the boys kidnapped him lol.)
And THEN! When Liam escapes, they're, like, sooo flabbergasted ("Liam what the hell is your problem?") that he's trying to run away as if he should just trust them for some reason.
And then the way they, like, stumble out into the hallway and Stiles just, like, screams to get him (I've seen that gif before sooo many times and seeing it in context is even better) and then just TACKLE him, like...WHAT?!
And then all three of them go tumbling down the stairs, and Stiles is all proud, because he thinks he has him, but then he sees he's just grabbing Scott, and Liam is gone, and Scott is glaring at him, and they just scramble to sit up and stare at the open door and I just...
"Your plan sucked, too."
And the way Stiles just gives him that little “touche" nod because YAH NO SH*T SHERLOCK!!
DUMB*SSES!
LITERALLY DUMB*SSES!
The DUMBEST of dumb*sses.
I absolutely CANNOT with these two.
I love them both so much. XD <3
Things really do tend to go a lot better and a lot smoother when these two have each other, but also....they sometimes play off of each other's chaotic energy a LITTLE too much, and this is the result.
And frankly, between Liam's own screaming and sliding across the hallway in his socks, I get the feeling he's gonna fit right in.
I am so ready to see even more of this trio. XD <3 <3
Anyways here's a gif series of Sciles's dumb*ssery because oh boys... XD <3 <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(THESE TWO (these three, frankly XD) I CANNOT WITH THEM!!! XD <3)

Day 3 of Redacted “What Ifs”- Mafia au (part two)
(LONG POST- the first two paragraphs were copy and pasted from part one)
So this was very widely requested, which I was NOT opposed to. Except for the fact that the only couple I had in mind was Gavin and FL. SO- Imma try to explain how I have the main groups set up first, then I’ll explain the individual character’s roles, and after that, I'll Explain how each of the couples met.
The Damn Crew is their own group of freelance mercenaries (Ik I’m so funny). They don’t belong to any clans or packs, they just get hired for different jobs and collect their money. The Shaw Pack is one of the bigger mafia groups as well as The Solaire Clan. Usually, packs and clans don’t get along with each other that well (woah werewolf and vampire drama) but, when David was a kid, Gabe established a peaceful friendship with The Solaire Clan (Gabe and William were buddies).
Also- I’m very sorry for procrastinating. It was the first week of summer for me and I was either very busy or sleeping off the burnout. Enjoy part two!
The Damn Crew was last time, today is The Shaw Pack.
Milo- Whether He’s in his wolf form or not, this man is RUTHLESS to whoever he comes across. He’s protective of his pack and doesn’t trust anyone (a lot less than he does in the og storyline). He prefers his wolf form, though he only gets to use it on certain occasions for jobs. Apart from being emotionless on the job, he’s his usual self in any other situation. After warming up to SH, he would be the biggest softie around them. Personally, I’d think that he would shift a lot more at home since he likes it better. So I can just imagine Milo and SH cuddling with Milo in wolf form and SH buried in his fur.
Sweetheart- Okay so I genuinely can’t see them being anything BUT a badass. Even more, than they are in the og storyline. I’d see them as a spy or hitman instead of a detective. Unlike other hitmen, they’d want to find out more about their target before they pursue anything. They're the kind of people to be in it to make the world better. The money is an added bonus to them. Usually, if they find nothing about the person, they'll let the person know anonymously that someone has it out for them. Otherwise, they'll quickly and quietly make work of their target. Ofc, they're the silent killer type- c'mon they're a stealth!
Asher- He works more on selling the goods. Ofc he'll help organize hitmen and send people off to be taken care of, but for the most part, he makes sure that the things he's selling go to where they need to go. Otherwise, he leads a fairly normal life. For the most part, he prefers to keep Baabe and his job separate. The first person in the pack to know abt him and Baabe was David because- hello? Davids the alpha!??!? Ofc he'd be the only one to know for a while. Only once Milo shared he had a partner in the business, Asher shared he also had a partner with the rest of the pack.
Baaabe- They lead a pretty normal life, they work an office job and have a few jobs on the side. Because of how many jobs they have and the fact they're still in college working towards a doctor's degree in teaching, they're always high on caffeine. It took meeting Asher for them to quit one of their jobs and actually get some sleep. Though, they still try to sneak in a few extra hours of work time. Asher usually finds out and then they both fall asleep on the couch together.
David- The man is pretty much his original character, except a lot colder. That’s honestly all the character’s personalities for this one but, it's fine I'm not being redundant (I hope). Anyways, he's the same guy around his pack with the tsundere asshole vibes. To business partners, he tries not to show any weakness. Best way to say this is that this man has got walls put all the way up to anyone except his pack. Though, around William it’s different. The Solaire clan has been like a second family to him and the pack, especially since Gabe passed. David might be a little more distant to William than he was to his dad, but both he and William tell each other almost everything. To say the least, William is like a second dad without even trying. He’d never replace Gabe, nor would he want to, but when the other needs them, they’ll be there.
Angel- This mf is like the oblivious kinda guy that walks into traffic but instead of cars, it's the mafia. Their friends are somewhat in the business, and therefore Angel is always getting themselves into the stupidest shit. The funny thing is- they’re always very oddly calm about it.
“Yo, wake up, we kidnapped you”
“Huh? Oh. cool.”
“Aren’t you gonna scream or something?”
“Nah, this happens pretty regularly. I have a presentation tomorrow so I can’t go damaging my pretty lungs.”
Once they meet David, though the conversation goes more like this:
“Hey kid, wake up, we’re gonna kill you”
“Hahaha very funny.”
“Wha- You’re not scared?”
“I’m sorry man, but you fucked up.”
“What do you mean?”
“You mess with me, you mess with the alpha of the Shaw pack.”
“You’re kidding.”
“Not unless you call the man standing behind you an omega.”
Milo and SH are gonna be the narratives for today! I thought for these posts I’d write little narratives for you guys just like I did on the last one so here you go!
Milo and Sweetheart(you)-
It’s been a few weeks since you were offered a recent job. It paid a lot, so you found yourself interested. Why would someone pay such a bounty for a singular guy? You had spent countless hours researching, stalking, and watching him. He was a werewolf. You know that much, but whether he was an innocent caught up in some shit or belonged to the Shaw pack you didn’t know.
The Shaw pack was one of the most famous packs in Dahlia. Not only were they famous in Dahlia, but also among the mafia. They were pretty good at keeping their members, except the main family, secret from the public’s eye. Only second best to the Solaire clan. Though, considering William Solaire only had two progeny and a few hundred more years of experience than David Shaw, it made sense.
You thought to yourself while waiting in his apartment. You knew how to get into places without needing a key, so it wasn’t much of a hassle to get in. Ready for him to come home you held your gun at your waist, “Maybe I got here too early…” you thought as you floated slightly over the floor. If you weren’t able to float around, you’d fall right through the floor. Surprisingly, the werewolf didn’t live with his pack, which made it easier to catch him alone. Though, it also made it harder to get into his apartment since he was on the 5th floor. It was challenging- to say the least- to sit in an elevator while incorporeal.
Finally, you heard the jingling of keys and the lock rattle a few times before the door opened. On instinct, you went Intangible, you were used to not being seen. That was your first mistake, you had given yourself away. He looked around and you got a glimpse of his expression. Poker face. You thought, “It’s now or never,” and pressed your gun against his forehead as you became tangible again. “Milo Greer, are you a part of the Shaw Pack?”
“Who the fuck are you?” Shit. He had the same adorably pissed face he usually wore when out and about.
“Answer the question,” you stared at him with the straightest face you could, “and I’ll decide whether or not to kill you.”
“Why should I?” Of course, he’s the type to push his luck with you.
“Because I have a gun pressed against your forehead, I’m skilled at stealth magic, and I might be armed with even more than just a gun.”
“You’re a stealth?” He smirked at you, you couldn’t tell how he felt about the situation.
You pressed the gun against his forehead, and he finally put his hands up, “Answer the. Fucking. Question.”
“Who's. Asking.”
You sighed, he wouldn’t give up. “If you NEED to know, I’m a hitman. But luckily for an asshole like you, I prefer to do a little research on my targets before I go ahead and kill them,” you watched the rest of him if he tried anything, “Right now, I’m deciding whether or not you’re guilty of the little crimes against a pack that my client accuses you of.”
“I’ve done a lot of things, what pack specifically?” He spoke so calmly… damn his accent was soothing.
“Can’t say. They applied anonymously. Now you need to answer my question.”
He sighed, “Yes. I am a member of the Shaw Pack.”
You could tell he was bracing himself for it, but you pulled away, getting an alcohol wipe from your pocket and hastily wiping the gun off. There was a moment of silence before you looked at him and turned around toward the door.
“Hold up,” you paused mid-step, “You’re not gonna say anything? No explanation?”
“I think it’s pretty clear,” you spoke to him, eager to leave.
“Really? Well then, why don’t you explain to me why the hell you broke into my apartment?”
You sighed again, “Like I said, Someone asked me to kill you, but I respect your pack. So, I gave you a second chance.”
He smirked, “For me? You shouldn’t have!” The sarcastic remark made you want to tell him to fuck off, but something about his expression stopped you.
“You’re not special, I do this for every target. Now can I go?”
“Fine,” you turned around and made your way to the door, “But, if you find out who’s targeting my pack, update me, sweetheart.”
You felt your face flush, but like the entire time you had been talking to him, you stayed calm, “Can’t promise anything, asshole. Though… you’re not too bad yourself,” you turned around and phased through the door. What had you just started? You didn’t know, nor did you really care. This was new and exciting. You couldn’t wait to see what this would turn into.
Asher and Baaabe-
They’d have a pretty normal meeting. Maaaybe it’s exactly the same way they met in the og story, but I’d like to think they met at a coffee shop. Typical, ik, but just hear me out- So, Baabe works at the coffee shop part-time, and Asher likes making coffee runs for the pack every once in a while. By the fifth time, Baabe had memorized the orders everyone usually got and as soon as Asher walked in, Baabe had already rung his order up. After a while, they began to mutually flirt with each other and Asher got Baabe’s number. It took a while for them to find a good day for a date because both of their schedules are insane, but when they finally did, they got to know each other better. Specifically, Asher decided to tell them all about the Shaw pack and that he was a werewolf. This man did not hesitate one bit once they were alone either. (It’s why we love him though)
David and Angel-
Angel being the dumbass they are is always getting into shit because of a past with a few hitmen or whatever. So, when David and Angel meet, it’s a little chaotic. Angel seems way too calm and that freaks David out. This time Angel actually gets hurt and is scared stiff since, miraculously, that's never happened before. David finds them hiding, with a shot leg after everything is over with, and reluctantly takes them to his house. Angel had been in and out of conscience for a while after that. The week or so following that, David and Angel got to know each other and Angel got to see David’s soft side. Eventually, they had to part ways, but Angel eventually found ways to see David more and scored a date with him. From there it’s pretty much the same, with Angel being a dumbass every once in a while and getting caught by a hitman or two again.
THAT'S ALL JESUS THAT TOOK A WHILE
Again, really sorry for this coming so late, things got really crazy there for a second and if I wanted to post part two I really shoulda started with the Solaire clan but whatever- HOPE YOU GUYS ENJOYED THIS HAVE A GREAT DAY :DDDDD

If they had a kid meme- obviously Katya/SH
[ IF THEY HAD A KID ] - @silvertiefling
Name:
Jenevelle "Jenny" Firewine Silverwreath
Gender:
Female, She/They
General Appearance:
Jenny is a Tiefling with pale grey skin and a set of curled back ram horns that are gradient from black at the base to white at the tips. Her hair is jet black and shaved on the left and right sides, but kept very long and braided down the back. She has piercing green eyes and a light dusting of white freckles over her grey features.
Because she was a child of miraculous conception through divine intervention, her eyes glow a faint blue color around the irises and she stands at six-foot-six. She has a thicker build to her frame and possesses a great deal of strength.
She is an alpha werewolf, like Katya, but has the moon-drunk and moon-blessed forms of Shadowheart. Her wolf-forms are completely black with streaks of white fur, and her eyes glow a haunting silvery-blur.
Personality:
[ CHAOTIC NEUTRAL . ] Jenny is an extremely sarcastic individual. She is sassy and headstrong, and what she says tends to go. Her Way or the Trade Way, she commonly says. She isn't afraid to give her opinion on things and doesn't tend to budge when she's made a decision. She's fiercely protective of those she cares about and is not afraid to step in.
Raised worshipping Selûne, having gone through the coming of age rituals and rites, along with her natural affinity for divinity, Jenny becomes a Paladin of Selûne and her background is Outlander.
Special Talents:
She has an incredible tolerance for alcohol. Katya owns a tavern, which she frequented often as a child, and snuck plenty of liquor. Half of the time, Katya was giving it to her anyways to help her with teething when she was a baby, and even gave it to her as a child and up. Shadowheart tried to ensure it was in very little amounts, but she wasn't always there to moderate. She can drink anyone under the table, benefitting from her massive size, and godly tolerance.
Who they like better:
She likes to argue she doesn't like either of them, but it's clear she favors Shadowheart more. She was always clinging to Katya as a baby, but she tends to spend a lot of her time with Shadowheart, helping her with gardening and barn-work.
Who they take more after:
Personality-wise she is more like Katya, and her appearance is a mix of both of them - plus the divinity of Selûne.
Personal headcanon:
Jenny is very musically inclined. She picks up on new instruments very quickly and can play them proficiently. However, she is a terrible singer and is better with freeform music - she can't keep a beat very reliably.

I put body swaps as one of Kouragra's powers it has unfettered access too and now they WOn'T stop playing musical chairs!
Kouragra < > Ocelotl
Kouragre > some random made up lady
Ocelotl < > wife of Ocelotl (breifly)
random lady Kouragra < > Enalore
Enalore (Kouragra) < > Ocelotl
It keeps ending with Kouragra back as Kouragra which seems boring but I think it's interesting to ponder if Enalore would give up her elf longevity to be some random made up lady. But I think it's a no brainer. Also she's the one who's always trying to get people to drink from the fountain of life or whatever. And of course, well Ocelotl would run off with her body
Do you guys think we're allowed to ship Rain and Merald and if not then who are they dating? Heeeeello? Somebody's wife? Oh no I remember. Merald is too plain, that Rain isn't attracted to them, but I still think they would probably end up together, and be like, well we settled. Those are the best relationships, though, like, "you rejected me, when we were teenagers" you've known each other for 10 years?
Do you think they're even friends? Do you think they have enough to do all day, that they can avoid each other for 10 years?
Rain and Merald, they hate each other, but then they swap bodies for sexual reasons only but then, like, actually fall in love, but they hate each other's responsibilities because either of them hates the other one's favorite parent, and they won't tell anyone that they've switched because 1. it's embarrassing 2. Kouragra would say it's pseudo-incest (it's not pseudo if it's gerald and ciri!!!!!!!!! parents can adopt you. step siblings can't adopt each other. except the moment in time when I was like "Enalore and Kouragra are aro4aro, that Kouragra calls her its business partner and roomate and co-parent, and Enalore is like well that's my little sister" it's so funny and I think it's less awkward for Enalore to be like "I adopted Wilda as my little sister, and then after that, or obviously not after that, but it was unspoken until now, dating Wilda's dad" wrong order Enalore. But it's different, possibly worse, to adopt a teenager and then be sneaking around with her dad but NOT being romantic with him.) The point I'm at is they unswap to do their housework and possibly unionize (the eldest daughtex union) (in medieval fantasy) to get regular hours.
Funny (evil) to give Enalore some biological urge once she becomes cis but more along the lines of baby fever than something more transphobic and also. She sometimes does end up with babies, probably half are babies and half are 2-17 and by contrasting babies with 2 year olds I MEAN babies
I call monsters it/its cis becuase all supernatural creatures are it/its. Kouragra. But then Sarah I had to fix its pronouns (in my notes I made them both have neos of K/K's and S/S's, lord help me edit th) (it's funny because no one gets mad about 2 she's (anymore) but) what was I saying, Sarah is that binary trasn women and sh--it transistioned AS a werewolf. I made up the it/its rule when I Was working with Mason, okay, I made Sarah--and her name was Lisa--and its name was Lisa, anyways, and then I tried to give Kouragra the random made up lady (when they turned Kouragra into Ocelotl it couldn't/wouldn't change back, so they took it to a wizard that turns animals into. All the same body type of brunette lady, which is obviously bad, it's very sussy, but yeah it didn't stick plus ALL of its magic is back in its old body. AND the tiger is a feminine form. But also a strong form.
Well that's what I have to say

i have been damaged i hav seen the light i would say i do not know how to feel about kotoko i do not like her i love her i do not want to like her i should love her i cannot stop thinking about her
okay okay okay okay okay... so other people have already made all the excellent amazing absolutely great takes on deep cover mv so nobody listen to be and my ramblings i'm just talking feelings here i started out not liking kotoko like from the get go but now i have mixed feelings and that's more about my own self-psychoanalyzing than anything else don't look at my milgram takes i associate too closely with the characters sometimes to be Objective (like haruka don't get me started on haruka)
so we have kotoko all alone in Judgement Room (nice seeing it in an mv tbh can't remember if seen it before) and she's moving around and the chess pieces are all broken/bloody ... magenta blood. her colour. maybe no no nononono the bloody broken pieces are later with werewolf her it's just broken chess pieces in Judgement Room. i know the pieces represent the prisoners so yeah.
anyway her movements in the room give off a bored sense to me. like, it's done. they're all gone. whats my purpose now. like raistlin majere when he was a god. and that's the thing. she does a pose that makes me think of Lady Justice/don't ask for ref i'm just thinking out loud here and it's like she's a god too. keep seeing her looking up to the moon (wolf aesthetics, looking to the heavens for a reason does she need an external reason now do you kotoko do you do you do you
scenes with the little girl. kid looks up to kotoko. kid's the example of what kotoko originally wanted to protect. kid's a mirror somewhat of what kotoko i was going somewhere with this oh right so kotoko's ummm seeing the girl as a mirror, kinda showing her back to herself. she killed the Bad Guy and kid's happy with her. kid loves her. kid wants to be her. (wears kotoko's hat everywhere too probably i love this kid ). then we have the news report. it's not over yet. kotoko can't stop. kotoko's ignoring the kid here in the park in favour of reading the reports something something this Means Something. what she's doing is becoming more important than the Reason she's doing it girl you're losing yourself
no words about the kid running to her and seeing her on the street. that scene says enough i think. talked it over with my sister, she interpreted kotoko's stare as judging the kid too, that she now sees her as weak, and she despises her too. i took it more as kotoko is too fixated on her goal, she stares at the little girl but doesn't SEE her. she's staring through her. her Goal is too important now. what she wanted to protect she has lost sight of
anyway anyway anyway mikoto mikoto mikoto seems a bit fixated on mikoto (and muu) out of all the other prisoners (not including es ofc es and kotoko parallels ofc). so the giant monster wolf kotoko, see her looming over mikoto i think twice gotta go check the video again
yeah i was wrong. all the other prisoners are just broken chess pieces EXCEPT mikoto. wolf kotoko is looming over him, he's looking down. we see this TWICE. meaning? probably. too hyped to think on it rn? also probably. know that mikoto's her challenge, the prisoner that she wavers on saying is guilty, something something something i need to listen to yonah track asap
there's stuff i could say on the wolf thing, and on muu (i feel there was a lot of muu parallels in this video too, like es... deep cover mocking undercover love it and she rocks that uniform btw) but yeah all my screaming mind sh-t is out and here's a mess
so kotoko video is probably out now. i haven't looked yet and i haven't watched it yet but i will likely get back to this with my perceptions when i am done watching

summary: all your life you’d been taught that vampires were the supreme evil. but when you fail your first assignment as a vampire hunter, you soon realize your parents had been lying to you. maybe the real monsters were humans all along...
pairing: vampire!yuta x human!reader x werewolf!taeyong
genre: fantasy, angst, smut, fluff (if you squint)
warnings: blood mentions, vampire compelling, stalking, attempted murder (?), biting, vervain poisoning, kidnapping, chaining, suicidal thoughts, manipulative parents, torture threats, swearing, death threats, pee mentions (i’m sorry, i wanted to make it funny?), pet names (sweetheart, babygirl, princess, kitten, etc.), undressing, feeding, terrible puns, yutae feminist kings, yuta pervert, lock picking, kissing, subby yong, handjob, face-sitting, eating out, unprotected sex, choking, kabedon, cheating, guilt, slut-shaming (?), homoerotic undertones, polyamory
author’s note: this story takes place in the same universe as my nominyn fic best friend. if you feel like reading it, i’d be very happy and grateful ❤️ if not, all you need to know is that taeyong, the owner of lee’s club, is also jeno’s cousin and they’re both werewolves. and yuta is the vampire who turned jaemin. taeyong and yuta are roommates and friends 💜 as for y/n, this is a different reader than the one in best friend (obviously, but i’m still clarifying just in case lol). anyways, i hope you all enjoy this 💙
word count: 8.2k
Chain! Reaction The chain spreads Chain! Reaction The chain connects From here on, the world is connecting...
“I can’t believe you’d be so irresponsible as to turn my cousin’s best friend into a vampire!” Taeyong scolded his roommate Yuta one night.
“How was I supposed to know Na Jaemin is Lee Jeno’s bestie?” Yuta groaned.
“They’re regulars in my club, how did you not know?” Taeyong sighed, completely exasperated by the vampire’s reckless behaviour.
“In my defense, all humans look the same to me. That’s like...asking a lion to tell the difference between an antelope and a gazelle. They’re all prey to me,” Yuta shrugged.
“You’re disgusting,” Taeyong rolled his eyes. “Remind me again why I agreed to have you as a roommate?”
“Because your previous roommate never cleaned up after himself and you hate it when things get messy. And I’m an extremely considerate vampire who doesn’t leave any traces of blood.”
“Unbelievable,” Taeyong shook his head. “You should be more careful from now on. Turning people I know without their consent can end badly.”
“I’ll try to be more cautious. And if Jaemin comes by again, I’ll give him some helpful tips about his new life as a vampire.”
“I appreciate it,” Taeyong nodded. “But I still have a bad feeling about this.”
“Everything will be fine. I mean, what could possibly go wrong?”
The answer was: a lot. For a while, things were fine. Yuta was going on his usual hunting sprees. Picking random drunken victims from the club, having enough blood to keep him satisfied but without killing them, and then compelling them to forget about the experience. Taeyong, being the more responsible out of the two, kept scolding his roommate to be more careful. But Yuta never listened. And one night, he was caught in the act by vampires’ worst enemy. No, it wasn’t werewolves like the stereotypes said. But something far more dangerous.
A couple of nights later, Yuta and Taeyong were walking home beneath the moonlight. It was a little too quiet. Suddenly, Taeyong, with his werewolf super smell, sensed something wrong.
“Someone’s following us,” he whispered to Yuta. “Should we run?”
“Run?” Yuta scoffed. “We’re a vampire and a werewolf. Whoever’s following us should be afraid of us.”
“Don’t turn around,” Taeyong warned but in vain. Yuta reacted without thinking and used his vampire super speed to run not away from the danger but towards it. When Taeyong noticed it was just a human girl, he panicked a little. Was Yuta seriously going to kill her simply for following them? Seconds later, he realized she was not just any ordinary girl. She was a vampire hunter, holding an wooden stake in her hand. She was trained to murder vampires. Before Taeyong could react and warn Yuta, his roommate’s fangs were already on her neck. “Yuta, don’t!”
But it was too late. As soon as the hunter’s blood was in his system, Yuta weakly swayed to the side.
“V-vervain,” Yuta whispered, collapsing onto the ground. Taeyong, who was usually the rational one, didn’t think this time, he simply reacted. Transforming into his wolf form, he jumped into the air, snarling at the girl. Wooden stakes did not pose any danger to werewolves, so he was unafraid when he bit her hand, causing her to drop the weapon. It was beyond obvious she was inexperienced in the art of hunting monsters. Despite being prepared by having injected vervain in her blood, she was no match for a werewolf.
“He’s not d-dead, I s-swear,” the girl stammered helplessly, anticipating Taeyong’s attack. “Just unconscious.”
Taeyong growled, contemplating what the best thing to do was. If he killed the girl, more hunters would come after them to avenge her. If he let her go - same result.
“I don’t want to do this,” she confessed, tearing up. “And neither do you.”
In that moment, Taeyong made a decision. One that he would probably regret but one he couldn’t stop himself from making. Roaring at her, the hunter girl fainted in fear, visibly unprepared for an actual encounter with monsters.
And Taeyong made the decision not to kill her.
Tumblr media
You woke up feeling utterly exhausted. And the first thing you noticed was that your hands were chained to an unfamiliar bed. Your legs were free, but that didn’t matter much, because your wrists hurt so badly you could barely move. You put two and two together, recalling the events of last night. Your parents who’d been vampire hunters their whole lives, had sent you on your first assignment. You were supposed to find a vampire and kill him. Easy. Only not so much. Despite being trained for this for ten years, you kept hearing rumours that not all vampires were murderers. And as much as you tried to locate one that you were certain killed innocents, you couldn’t succeed. So, when you spotted a vampire (whose name was Yuta but you didn’t know that yet) drinking the blood of a random woman you had been so close to intervening in your wish to save her life, but then you saw him letting her go, compelling her to forget about this...You instinctively knew he wasn’t a murderer. And yet, if you didn’t want to disappoint your parents, you had to go through with this. But as expected, you failed. And now you were stuck here, far away from your home.
“Oh, good, you’re awake,” the werewolf from last night pointed out, walking into the room.
“Why?” you asked dumbly.
“Why what?” he tilted his head in confusion.
“Why am I awake? Why didn’t you kill me?” you wanted to know.
“You sound like someone who wants to be killed,” he observed.
“I’d rather die than...” than go back home and face the disappointment in your strict parents’ eyes, you thought. But didn’t dare say it out loud in front of the werewolf. You couldn’t afford to be that vulnerable. You had already shown enough weakness...with your inability to get rid of the vampire.
“This was your first assignment, wasn’t it?” the werewolf guessed correctly.
“How did you find out?” you murmured.
“It’s obvious. I mean, you hesitated. Trained hunters usually kill vampires before it comes to drinking blood stained with vervain. You couldn’t even lift your wooden stake. You were just holding it.”
“I didn’t hesitate,” you lied. “I was just too slow.”
Keep telling yourself that, sweetheart. If it helps you sleep better at night.”
He could see right through you. It was so frustrating. But you figured lying to him was useless. If he didn’t kill you, your superiors would definitely do so for failing to complete your mission. So, you might as well spend your last days being honest.
“Is the vampire alive?” you asked.
“As alive as vampires can be,” the werewolf chuckled. “And his name is Yuta. Not that you care.”
“And what is yours?” the words had left your mouth before your brain could order your lips shut. As if it mattered. As if it would make a difference.
“It’s Taeyong. But I don’t imagine you’d be willing to share yours without some good old-fashioned torturing.”
Honestly? You were already a disappointment to your people. You didn’t feel like being tortured into giving away your name. Everything seemed insignificant.
“I’m Y/N,” you admitted. “And like I said. I’d rather die than return home.”
“And why is that?” Taeyong inquired curiously.
“I hate being judged for my lack of hunting skills. I hate feeling like a failure, like a fucking outcast. But what I hate more than anything is that I have the gnawing suspicion my family has been lying to me. They kept telling me vampires never leave their victims to walk away alive. I’ve been trying to find a vampire who actually murders humans for weeks. It would feel wrong to kill someone who isn’t a killer. And just when I thought I was successful because Yuta looked so bloodthirsty and savage, he let that drunk woman go. But my parents kept pestering me, saying I’m taking too long with my first assignment. And I couldn’t imagine having to face their disappointment so I followed Yuta. But you were with him. It wasn’t supposed to happen like that. And...the mere fact you still haven’t killed me is making me question everything my family ever taught me.”
Taeyong nodded thoughtfully, visibly intrigued by your story.
“I would love to finish this conversation, but I promised to help my cousin out with something today,” he explained. “Of course, as much as I feel for you, I can’t afford letting you go after that stunt you pulled last night. I can’t risk more hunters coming after Yuta and I. So, you’ll have to forgive me if I leave you here for the time being.”
“No, wait!” you opened your mouth to argue but Taeyong had already left the room. Damnit. You had no idea when he would return...What if you had to use the toilet? You realized your current chained position made it impossible for you to do any movements. Was he just going to leave you here? Were you going to starve to death? Despite your previous claims, you realized you didn’t actively want to die. At least, not like this. It was embarrassing. You would rather lose your life fighting than in such a pathetic way - chained to a freaking bed with no immediate access to water or any other basic need for that matter.
Hours later, when you were beginning to lose your mind, terrified by the unknown and how long it would be until your next sip of water or your next meal, you had an unexpected visitor. For a second, you were hopeful that Taeyong had returned, already feeling a bit encouraged by your previous conversation with the werewolf. But soon enough, your hopes were crushed when your eyes spotted the vampire Yuta walking into the room. Your body involuntarily reacted with terror, your toes curling in fear and your restrained fists clenching in vain.
“Are you scared?” he grinned, mocking you. “Good. You should be.”
You didn’t dare speak, feeling far more intimidated by the cold vampire than the friendly werewolf.
“Give me one valid reason why I shouldn’t suck you dry right now,” Yuta threatened.
“My blood still has vervain in it,” you explained cautiously. “It will take at least 48 hours for my system to be clear of it. You barely recovered from the first bite, are you sure you want to take your chances a second time?”
He chuckled.
“You’re smart, I’ll give you that. But you forget very one important fact. My fangs are not the only thing capable of killing a weakly human such as yourself. I could easily slit your throat with a kitchen knife. Or drown you in the bathtub. Or maybe you’d prefer rat poison? Whatever the choice of weapon, my point is...I can kill you. So, why shouldn’t I?”
Yet again, despite your previous bravado and useless protests that you’d rather die than go back to your family, you still wanted to live. You were too young to die.
“Yes, you can,” you acquiesced. “But you won’t. If you wanted to, you would have done so already. Which means that Taeyong told you not to, didn’t he? And you value his opinion. Even if it goes against your personal views. I’m right, aren’t I?”
Yuta nodded, impressed by your deductive skills. Even though you were obviously shit at combat, your brain made you a useful asset to the hunting business.
“You’re right. But you’re also hungry, thirsty and chained to a bed. And Taeyong, responsible as he is, forgot about that. After his meeting with his cousin, he’ll go to work at his club. He usually comes back at 1 am. It’s currently...hm, lunch time. You think you can last that long?”
You probably could. But you didn’t want to.
“Or...you could try to rely on me. Oh, who am I kidding? Your hunter pride would probably make that impossible.”
Fuck your hunter pride, you thought. You wanted water. And if you were lucky, maybe a snack. Now. And you also needed to pee really badly you were barely holding it in. You couldn’t physically imagine staining the sheets in front of the vampire. That would be far too mortifying.
Yuta was about to walk out of the room when you finally opened your mouth again.
“Please, don’t leave,” you begged him. “Tell me what I have to do for a sip of water and I will.”
“Aw, aren’t you a pliant little one?” he cooed, poking fun at you.
If your parents could see you now, they would probably disown you for being the most pathetic failed attempt of a hunter in the universe. But honestly, you didn’t care. They had lied to you. Both the werewolf and the vampire had spared your life. Which made them so much more different from the monsters your family had described to you.
“How about we play a game? For every question of mine you answer truthfully, I’ll grant you one wish. And don’t even bother to lie. I can literally hear the blood coursing through your veins and I’ll know if you try to deceive me.”
It sounded easy enough to achieve. You couldn’t imagine what the vampire could possibly want to know. But you were so desperate for release that you were willing to be the most honest person ever.
“Agreed,” you responded rightaway.
“Very well, then. Why did you hesitate? Last night you had a wooden stake in your hand but you didn’t even lift it up,” Yuta pointed out. “You could have easily used it to put an end to my seemingly immortal existence. But you didn’t. Instead, you let me drink from you, temporarily weakening me with vervain. Why?”
“Like I already told Taeyong earlier today,” you started explaining the same old story but in a different way. “I couldn’t bring myself to complete my first assignment as a hunter, because I realized my parents had been lying to me for years. A couple of nights ago I saw you drinking blood from a woman but you didn’t kill her. You compelled her to forget and let her go. My family had told me all vampires were heartless murderers. But they were wrong, weren’t they?”
“I’ll let you draw your own conclusions, little one,” Yuta smirked mysteriously, even though you were already about 51% positive he wasn’t going to kill you. The other 49% of doubts you blamed partially on your upbringing and internalized distrust of vampires but mostly on his savage grin. “You answered with the truth and I’m a vampire of my word. What is your first wish?”
“This is too embarrassing,” you confessed. “But I really need to use the toilet.”
“Oh. Well, I have some bad news for you, babygirl. Taeyong took the key to your chains with him. Even if I wanted to release you, that would be impossible.”
“What, so not even your vampire super strength can take these off?” you exclaimed in disappointment. You couldn’t hold it in much longer...
“It can,” Yuta replied. “But it would also break your wrists. And as angry as I am for last night’s events, it would be a shame to tear you apart without getting to know each other first, don’t you think?”
You shuddered, somewhat terrified of his cruel words.
“Lucky for you, I have an idea,” he said, significantly pointing towards the bed.
“You’re insane!” you shouted. “I’m not going to pee in front of you and then drown in my own...God, why are we even discussing this?”
“I can avert my eyes if it’ll make you feel more comfortable. And change the sheets after you’re done. Aren’t I a generous bloodsucker?” Yuta smirked.
Fuck it. You were going to burst...
“Turn around. Please?” you mumbled shyly.
“As you wish,” he did as you asked. And you could no longer contain it. A couple of seconds later, you awkwardly informed Yuta that you were finished doing your...business. When he faced you again, you quickly closed your eyes, feeling utterly humiliated. You could hear the sound of Yuta changing the sheets but didn’t dare open your eyes. Not until you felt his hands on your hips.
“What are you d-doing?” you squeaked.
“Taking your jeans off. Unless you want to sit here like this, soaking wet.”
Fucking hell...You hated how his words affected you.
“Fine. Just get it over with,” you gave him permission, even though he was obviously the one in power here. And you were the one left completely defenseless and still chained to a bed.
There was something incredibly intimate about him undressing your lower half and letting you wear a pair of dry, clean pants (you didn’t want to think about whether they were his or Taeyong’s).
“All set,” Yuta announced and for the briefest of moments it was easy to forget you were a hunter and he was a vampire. Touched by his gesture, you murmured a quick thank you. And then, it was back to square one.
“My second question for you is...what would you do if we let you go? Would you try to kill me? Or Taeyong?”
You shook your head, surprising yourself with the unexpected truth.
“I can’t kill you,” you replied. “Not that it would be impossible to find the means. But my personal morals are in contradiction with everything I’ve been trained to do. My observations have led me to believe you’re not a murderer, therefore, I can’t bring myself to kill you. Or Taeyong. Everything I stand for goes against my family’s orders.”
“That doesn’t answer my first question, kitten. What would you do?”
“I can’t go back to my people,” you admitted. “They would ostracize me, probably even execute me for being such a failure. So, I don’t know what to do. If you don’t kill me, my superiors sure will. Does that answer your question?”
Yuta seemed extremely shocked by how cruel hunters could be. Made you question everything, reality itself...Maybe the real monsters were humans, after all.
“I believe it does. And your second wish?”
“Can you please let me have some water?” you asked.
“Of course,” he agreed rightaway and quickly brought you a glass full of water. Grateful, you let him lift your chin up, slightly tilting your head backwards, as he poured water into your mouth. When your thirst was quenched and the glass empty, you blinked at him, incredibly moved by the simple act of him giving you something to drink.
“Why are you so nice to me?” you mumbled.
“It’s not your turn to ask questions, little one,” Yuta scoffed. “But I’m feeling strangely generous today, so I’ll answer anyway. Same reason why you didn’t kill me.”
What was that supposed to mean? Was Yuta nice to you because...he didn’t believe you were a murderer? Could it be that simple?
“Regardless,” he continued. “We’ve already established you’re not interested in going back to your people should we choose to let you go. And I’m not interested in killing you. For now. That leaves me with one last question. Not what you would do, you made yourself abundantly clear you had no idea. But where would you go? Would you be willing to stay here? With us?”
“Why would you want me to stay here?” you asked in shock. “Would I not be a nuisance to you?”
“It would certainly make my life much easier if I had access to fresh human blood whenever I pleased. After your system is clear of the damn vervain, of course.”
“You want me to be your bloodmobile?” you exclaimed.
“Well, when you put it like that, the idea sounds much less appealing.”
“Dear Lord,” you laughed, unbelievably amused by the absurdity of this conversation.
“Just answer the question.”
“Ah, right. Um...it was like you said, you’re not interested in killing me. And I gotta admit, being your bloodmobile is far more preferable than being executed by other hunters for being a flop. So, yeah. I think I would stay. Does that make me crazy? Maybe so. But do I care? Not really. At least I’d be alive,” you kept ranting mindlessly until Yuta finally chose to interrupt you.
“And your third wish?”
“Can I have something to eat?” you asked.
“Sure thing. I’ll give you a bite. Pun-intended.”
You couldn’t resist the urge to chuckle, overwhelmed by the vampire’s sense of humour. A bit later, Yuta was back from the kitchen, carrying a plate with a grilled cheese sandwich, some beef meat and a banana.
“But m-my h-hands...” you stammered, dumbly pointing out the current predicament which promised your inability to hold the food.
“Relax, kitten, I’ll feed you,” Yuta rolled his eyes. And so he did, gently feeding you. Silence reigned in the room while you ate. Finally, as the plate was cleared of its contents, you were the first to speak again.
“I’m starting to think there is some conspiracy theory. If the hunters knew what kindness vampires were capable of, all their children would have gladly escaped the hunter life a long time ago.”
“Oh, babygirl, not all vampires are like me,” Yuta hissed in your ear.

By the time Taeyong returned home, it was too late and you had already fallen asleep. Which meant you could not hear the discussions he was having with Yuta. And you could not feel what was happening to those chains. Despite your initial unawareness, you were quick to spot the difference in the morning. Your hands were free, you realized with amazement. Any other hunter would have jumped at their newfound freedom, would have been quick to attack the supernatural creatures from behind and escape. But you were more of a feeble newborn kitten than a hunter. So, you simply walked towards the door. Not intending to run away. But to explore. Finding Taeyong on the couch, you greeted him nervously and gathered enough courage to sit down next to him. His first words shocked you out of your senses.
“I’m really sorry, darling,” he whispered. When you stared at him in confusion, he added. “About yesterday. I shouldn’t have left with the key still in my pocket. Yuta told me how you...”
“Okay, that’s enough!” you chirped. “Please don’t make me re-live the embarrassment.”
Taeyong made a zipping movement towards his mouth jokingly, signifying that he wouldn’t bring up the subject again.
“I never asked you how you had these chains just lying around. Kinda suspicious, no?”
He shook his head.
“In my first months as a werewolf, it was difficult to control my strength during a full moon. I used to wake up to my apartment being completely thrashed. I’m talking...broken furniture, torn clothes and other unspeakable consequences of my lycanthropy. So, I used to chain myself during my first full moons to prevent myself from misbehaving. I haven’t needed them for a while, as you can probably tell from our initial encounter. But in relation to a vampire hunter, they came in handy. Pun-intended.”
You rolled your eyes. You could tell why Taeyong and Yuta were friends.
“So, what made you change your mind? I mean, why did you remove them from me?” you wanted to know.
“The second Yuta told me about yesterday’s...unmentionable event, I knew it couldn’t happen again. You’re a lady, after all. I apologize for any discomfort I have caused you. It’s just that...I care about Yuta and yesterday morning, he was still too weak from the vervain to defend himself. I couldn’t take any chances.”
“I understand,” you nodded. “And I’m glad now you know I have no intention of killing either of you.”
“That doesn’t mean I trust you,” Taeyong clarified.
“Of course not. But you’re willing to tolerate my existence and that’s good enough for me.”
“Not just tolerate it. I can do better. You don’t have to answer any questions of mine in exchange for water or food. I shouldn’t have left you alone with that little devil.”
“Hey!” Yuta, who’d just walked into the room, complained loudly.
“Weren’t you asleep?” you asked.
“Vampires don’t sleep. What do they teach you in the hunter academy?” Taeyong joked.
“Yeah, I don’t sleep,” Yuta confirmed with a wink. “I just turn off the lights and then cover my eyes. I’ll leave the rest of it to your imagination.”
You didn’t know what to make of it and honestly, you were too afraid to ask.
“As I was saying,” Taeyong interrupted with a sigh. “Let me know whenever you’re hungry and I’ll cook you something. Yuta told me you weren’t all that eager to return to your family, so...just consider yourself our new roommate.”
“But...I don’t have money to pay rent,” you explained foolishly.
“That will be unnecessary. You agreeing not to kill us and provide Yuta with a snack is payment enough. Okay, that sounded wrong,” Taeyong mumbled nervously. “Not that you’re a snack. I mean, you are but in a different sense. Oh, nevermind.”
You blinked at him, feeling uncharacteristically flustered by his words.
“But Taeyong, we only have two beds!” Yuta pointed out, visibly complaining.
“Yuta, you literally don’t sleep,” Taeyong sighed. “You just said so yourself. Take the fucking couch and stop being a baby about it.”
You couldn’t help but grin in amusement. Even if vampires didn’t sleep, they still enjoyed whining and having a place to lie down for whatever reason required no lights and covering their eyes...
“Are you serious about this?” you felt inclined to ask. “I don’t mean to cause you any trouble. You could easily get rid of me by...you know, killing me.”
“Out of the question,” Yuta and Taeyong cried out at the exact same time.
As time went by, you found yourself feeling more and more comfortable in their company. Not only that but you also felt safer around Yuta and Taeyong than you did when you were with your own family. Maybe it was because of the fact that there were no expectations of you. Other than the occasional giving some of your blood to the vampire and helping the werewolf with the cooking, your new roommates were unlike your parents in the sense that they weren’t constantly on your ass. You weren’t just the “hunter daughter” who was supposed to kill innocent vampires and maintain the family legacy, make the whole hunter world proud...You were just you. And that seemed to be enough.
One night, a month after you’d first met them, Yuta had said he would go out for drinks with a fellow vampire Jaemin to teach the younger boy some basics. You were surprised to find out that Taeyong didn’t join his friend and instead, chose to stay in. Locking himself in his room...Was it because there was a full moon? But Taeyong had told you he had learned to control his wolf side a long time ago. Was he mad at you? You wandered around the kitchen. You’d cleaned the dishes as promised and you’d even done the laundry. Why was he avoiding you? Usually, when you stayed alone with Taeyong in the apartment, the werewolf would opt for watching a movie with you or playing games together. But locking himself was beyond suspicious. You had to get to the bottom of it...
Knocking the door to his room was pointless, because there was no response. You sighed to yourself and even though you knew it was wrong, you were too curious to ignore this. So, you removed a hairpin from your head and used it to pick the lock. Once you entered Taeyong’s room, you immediately spotted him, crouched pitifully in the corner.
“Taeyong, are you okay?” you asked in concern, walking towards him.
“Stay away from me, Y/N,” he warned you harshly.
However, you couldn’t. Feeling drawn to him, almost as if by an invisible chain, you approached him further.
“Talk to me, please. If there’s anything I can do to help...”
“Your scent. I can’t stand it.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” you inquired.
“The full moon is affecting me. Before you arrived, I had mastered my self-control. But things are different now.”
“I’m not sure I’m following,” you whispered in confusion.
“If you don’t walk away right now, I might do something I’ll regret.”
“Like what, kill me?” you joked. Unsuccessfully.
“Worse,” Taeyong hissed.
“I’m not afraid of you, Taeyong,” you explained, taking another step towards him. “You let me stay here even though I posed a danger to your friend. You treated me kindly. For the first time in my life, you respected my wishes not to murder anyone and accepted me for who I am. You took me in when I had nowhere to go. So, if there’s a way I could help you, I will.”
Taeyong wasted no more time and kissed you, barely restraining himself from doing more. You were too shocked to move, but when the initial surprise wore off, you started kissing him back just as eagerly, wrapping your arms around his neck. When his lips left yours, he groaned:
“You should go. I can’t hold back.”
“Don’t hold back,” you begged him and went back to kissing him. Soon enough, he spoke again:
“I have to tell you something. You’ll probably be disappointed, though. I know the general expectation is that werewolves are super dominant and stuff but...I’m not like that. I want you to take care of me.”
“Why would I be disappointed?” you cooed gently. “I think you’re perfect just the way you are. And I’d love to take care of you.”
“Yeah?” Taeyong chuckled in disbelief.
You nodded and boldly pushed him so that he would sit at the edge of his bed. Climbing into his lap, you ran your fingers through hair and started grinding your hips so that you’d stimulate him. When your motions got unbearable for him, he asked you for more. And who were you to deny him? Sliding your hand into his pants, you skillfully circled it around his length, stroking it faster so that he’d reach release.
“Fuck, you smell so good,” he whined after cumming. “Can’t get enough of you.”
“I’m not going anywhere,” you promised foolishly and kissed his forehead.
“Please, I need you,” Taeyong spoke passionately.
“Patience, my dear boy,” you reassured him and started taking off your black dress slowly. When you were left entirely naked, it hit you how wet you were already. Just for him...
“Let me taste you, sweetheart,” he begged and you already knew what he meant. “Sit on my face.”
You did as he wished and allowed him to drink in your juices thirstily. You were holding yourself slightly upright. But soon enough, your knees began shaking. Terrified you’d accidentally fall and stop his airflow, you managed to remove yourself from his lips.
“Nooo,” Taeyong cried out at the loss. “You were so sweet. My sweet girl.”
You caressed his cheeks fondly and moved the lower of your body on the bed so that the heat between your legs was now centimetres away from his cock.
“We could no longer be just roommates after this. Are you sure about it?” you felt inclined to ask.
Taeyond nodded.
“Are you?” he needed to know. Instead of giving him a verbal response, you slid yourself onto him excitedly, smirking. “Shit.”
“Does it feel good for you?” you inquired.
“Hm, I don’t know. Why don’t you start moving and we’ll find out?” Taeyong teased.
“Noted,” you laughed and began bouncing around his cock. It didn’t take long for either of you to come. That thing he’d said about your scent, it also referred to you. You couldn’t physically stay away from him, feeling chained in the best possible way. His body’s reaction to you further enhanced your confidence. When you were both too exhausted for another high, you cuddled Taeyong softly, wrapping a blanket around the two of you.
“I don’t want to weird you out but...I think you’re my mate,” he confessed. “And I’m not just saying it because of the mind-blowing sex we just had. I think...I’ve known it ever since I saw you following us that night. If it was anyone else, I would have probably killed them for threatening Yuta’s life. But when I looked at you, I just couldn’t bring myself to hurt you. So, I did the only thing I could think of...kidnapping you and tying you up. Which, in retrospect, was a little possessive and questionable of me. But if it means getting to have you so close to me, I don’t regret it. Does this make sense?”
“It makes perfect sense, Yongie,” you replied. “I’m not an expert in what this means for me, for us. But what I know for sure is that even after you removed those chains, I didn’t want to escape like any other hunter would have done. I just felt so attached to you already...like I belong here. And if that is the case, then, I’m honoured to be your mate.”

When Yuta returned home at sunrise, you and Taeyong decided it would only be right to inform him about your changed dynamic. After all, Yuta was still your roommate and he deserved to know the truth in order to avoid any potential awkwardness. However, you weren’t certain how exactly to tell him. You weren’t actually dating because you hadn’t gone out on a proper date yet. As for the mating business, it sounded way too serious to disclose in front of Yuta this early on in your relationship. Instead of spending hours wondering how exactly to phrase this, you simply blurted out:
“Taeyong and I slept together.”
Yuta furrowed his eyebrows.
“Good for you? What do you want me to say, congratulations?” he scoffed sarcastically. “You both know very well vampires can’t sleep so wayyy to rub salt into the wound.”
“Well, technically, we didn’t do much sleeping,” Taeyong clarified with a wink. “If you catch my drift.”
“Ew, I get it. Enough of that already,” Yuta hissed angrily.
“Did your date with Jaemin not go well? Why are you acting so prickly?” Taeyong nudged his friend’s shoulder playfully. However, Yuta quickly pulled away as if the mere touch was an offense.
“First of all, it wasn’t a date, I was just giving the poor kid some helpful tips. Second of all, I’m not prickly,” Yuta rolled his eyes. “I simply do not give a damn about your sex life.”
“I thought you’d be happy for us,” you mumbled, sorrow clouding your features.
“Sorry to disappoint,” Yuta shrugged carelessly and went back to his own room, now that you and Taeyong were sharing his bedroom.
The two of you exchanged a brief look of confusion. And as it often turns out, your joy was short-lived.
The next couple of days were the definition of uncomfortable. Whenever your paths crossed with Yuta, he ignored you. And judging from Taeyong’s words, he treated him the same way. You and Taeyong didn’t dare say a word to further upset Yuta. So you basically walked on your tippy toes around him. In the bedroom, you were as quiet as possible, because you feared Yuta would make fun of your shared pleasure and you didn’t want to hear another sneerful remark. However, there were no such comments on his behalf. Just silence. It no longer felt as if you were friends with the vampire. And honestly, it was breaking your heart. He didn’t even want to drink blood from you anymore. Which any sane person would have been happy about, but for some reason, made you feel dejected and rejected.
One night, when Taeyong was working late at his club and Yuta had miraculously stayed in, you decided you could no longer take the cold treatment. Without bothering to knock, you simply entered Yuta’s room in a huff and confronted him directly.
“That’s it!” you said. “You either tell me what’s going on right now or you better find new roommates because I’m done putting up with this bullshit.”
Yuta got up from his chair and in the matter of seconds, he had managed to get closer to you, one hand on your throat, another leaning above your head, with your back pressed against the wall.
“You’re the outsider here, babygirl. You really think you can give me an ultimatum? That’s pathetic...”
Your heart was threatening to burst out of your chest, feeling extremely intimidated by the vampire’s behaviour. But you couldn’t afford to be weak. You might not be a proper hunter but you still believed yourself to be strong enough to hold your ground. Grabbing his hand tightly and forcing him to loosen his grip on your throat, you stated:
“What’s pathetic is you ignoring your friends for no reason. Maybe if you just talked to us, you would stop being so irritable all the time.”
“No reason, you say?” Yuta tsked. “There is plenty of reason but if I told you, you’d wish you’d killed me the very first night we met.”
You shook your head adamantly.
“I wouldn’t,” you insisted. “You’re not a bad guy, Yuta, no matter how hard you try to push us away. You’re so much more-”
Then, without giving you the chance to finish your sentence, he kissed you savagely, taking your breath away. You knew this was wrong, in the mere act of kissing him back, you were betraying Taeyong’s trust. But you couldn’t stop yourself from doing so anyway. Feeling the oh-so-familiar invisible chain reaction, binding you to these two, you found it impossible to suppress your primal urges.
“Yes, I am,” Yuta hissed, after breaking the kiss. “A good guy wouldn’t kiss his best friend’s mate.” Fuck. He knew. “A good guy wouldn’t catch feelings for her. And even if he did, a good guy would never act on them like I just did.”
You disagreed with him.
“Then, I’m just as bad as you.”
Yuta frowned, awaiting a further explanation.
“I kissed you back,” you elaborated, still shaken up by what you’ve done. “God, this will break Taeyong’s heart.”
“I pressed you against the wall, you couldn’t have fought me off and you’re blaming yourself?” Yuta chuckled in amusement. “You’re seriously too kind for your own good.”
“Kind?” you cackled histerically. “I almost killed you even though you were innocent and you call this kind? Do you have any self-preservation instincts?”
“I would gladly die by your hand,” he whispered seductively.
“If this is your method of foreplay, you really need to work on it,” you joked.
“This can’t go further,” Yuta cut you off. “It was a mistake.”
“Do you regret kissing me?”
“I don’t regret a thing. But we can’t...if Taeyong finds out...”
“Are you scared of him?” you couldn’t resist asking.
“I’m scared for him,” he clarified. “He can never know.”
“I don’t want to lie to him,” you replied. “And besides, even if we do try to keep it a secret, he’ll smell your scent all over me.”
“So?” Yuta shrugged as if it wasn’t a big deal. “We can just say I drank from you again.”
“We’re not lying to him, Yuta,” you insisted. “My decision is final.”
“It will devastate him,” he sighed.
“It was a one time thing,” you tried to convince yourself rather than him. “He may forgive us.”
“Nah, he won’t,” Yuta laughed sadly and kissed you again. And you found yourself kissing him back. Again. Until the kisses turned into touches and the touches turned into losing yourselves in each other’s arms and the losing yourselves turned into doing something so irrevocable. Something so wrong but why on earth did it feel so right?
Upon returning home a little after 2 am, Taeyong was so exhausted from working all night long that the first thing he did was to snuggle in the bed he was sharing with you. Usually, your scent brought him so much comfort that he fell asleep very quickly. But this night was different. As he cuddled closer into your sleeping figure, he couldn’t help but notice something was wrong. You didn’t smell like yourself. You smelled like Yuta. Taeyong’s initial reaction was that Yuta was finally done moping around like a sad lion and had probably drunk blood from you. But (and there was a big but coming...) it wasn’t just your neck that smelled like him. It was your whole body. Your hands, your lips and the heat between your legs...It was so frustrating that Taeyong couldn’t take it anymore. Getting up from the bed, he shook you awake. He needed to know if he was just being delusional or if his suspicions were correct. Even though every cell in his body was telling him the truth. It was too obvious to ignore.
“Taeyong...” you murmured sleepily. Upon seeing his angry expression, you put two and two together and added:  “I’m so sorry.”
“You don’t have to say it,” Taeyong responded, looking absolutely crestfallen. “I already know.”
You nodded, feeling a tremendous wave of guilt washing over you.
“I will understand if you want to break up. Or if you want me to move out...”
“Where will you go?” he sighed, still feeling responsible. Despite the very apparent fact you had cheated on him with his best friend.
You shrugged.
“I don’t know,” you whimpered, tears already falling down your cheeks. “I’ll probably go back to my people. Face their judgment for being a total failure. After all, I deserve-”
“No,” Taeyong cut you off. “It’s not like you killed a person, Y/N. You don’t deserve to die. Of course you can stay here.”
“Maybe I don’t deserve to die but I certainly don’t deserve you,” you cried out pitifully.
Instead of contradicting your words, he further proved you right with his next statement.
“If you and Yuta really like each other, I’ll back off. Even if it breaks my heart to see my mate and my best friend-”
You shook your head.
“That’s the thing. I do like him a lot. But I like you just as much. I don’t want you to back off. I know it’s a lot to ask, considering how badly I just fucked up, but...”
“Do you want me to fight Yuta for you?” Taeyong scoffed. “Because if I do, only one of us will walk out alive. And I don’t want to lose either of you. You two went behind my back and I still care for you so much. That must make me an idiot.”
“You’re not an idiot for having a heart,” you wrapped your hands around his waist, refusing to let go. “And I would never ask you to fight your best friend. In fact, I wanted to ask you the exact opposite.”
“What are you saying?”
“I feel too attached to you both. This cannot be the end. I know I don’t deserve either of you. But I need you so badly. I can’t function without you, Taeyong. And the same goes for Yuta. Do you understand what I’m saying?”
Taeyong blinked for a couple of seconds, making you feel a bit worried he was about to reject you. Until he finally spoke again and you released a breath you had no idea you’d been holding for so long.
“I thought I was the only one,” he murmured in wonder.
“Huh?”
“I know this probably sounds insane but...I think I have two mates.”
“I don’t mean to sound presumptuous but...do you mean Yuta and I?” you whispered.
“No, I mean completely random people I’ve never met before,” Taeyong joked. “Of course I meant you and Yuta.”
You blushed shyly, tucking a piece of hair behind your ear.
“And I already know how you feel about both of us, so we just need to see what Yuta thinks about all this,” Taeyong mused out loud.
“I suppose there’s only one way to find out,” you grinned, jumping out of the bed.
“It’s a good thing we wouldn’t be waking him up. You know, with the whole vampires don’t sleep business,” Taeyong giggled.
Once you two barged into Yuta’s room (without knocking, of course), he seemed pretty flustered that he was being visited in the middle of the night. Not that he was doing anything he shouldn’t have been doing. Definitely not.
“What do you want?” he said through gritted teeth.
Taeyong, however, despite his earlier proposition, wanted to scold his friend a little for sleeping with his mate.
“What do I want?” he barked, feigning anger and annoyance. “I can’t believe Y/N would cheat on me with someone so rude and irresponsible.”
You immediately knew what Taeyong was getting at so you decided to play along.
“I’m so sorry, Taeyong,” you cried out, a little too dramatically. Not that you weren’t sorry and feeling guilty. You totally were. But now that you knew how Taeyong felt about both you and Yuta, you figured maybe this whole thing wasn’t such a bad idea after all. ”Please, forgive me, I swear it’ll never happen again.”
“Oh shit. So, you know,” Yuta sighed.
“Did you think I wouldn’t find out?” Taeyong hissed, grabbing Yuta by the collar of his shirt. His acting was a little too good. You wondered if you had really hurt him that badly, or if he was secretly happy. “Your scent was all over her, you asshole.”
“Taeyong, stop, no one has to die,” you pleaded, weakly attempting to pull him away from Yuta. You knew this was all an act and still...it felt so...real. Taeyong pushed you away, freeing his arm from your pathetic grasp. You stumbled backwards, a bit shaken up.
“Look, you can do whatever you want to me, but leave her out of this, okay?” Yuta spoke gently. “I was the one who pushed her against a wall and kissed her first. The poor human was probably scared I’d drain all her blood if she didn’t do as I pleased.”
You couldn’t believe Yuta was willing to take the fall for you...You felt so undeserving and ungrateful.
“You pushed her against a wall?” Taeyong inquired, gripping harder on Yuta’s shirt. On the outside, he still appeared mad. But on the inside, he couldn’t help but wonder what it’d feel like if Yuta did that to him.
“That’s not the point!” you intervened. “I’m just as responsible for my actions. Taeyong, please, just let go of him.”
“Aww, my little slut doesn’t want the bloodsucker to get hurt?” Taeyong cooed mockingly. “What? One cock isn’t enough to satisfy the princess’s needs? Is that it?”
“You know it’s not like that,” you cried out pitifully. This was no longer acting, your heart told you instinctively. He was really upset. But he was also okay with it. It was difficult to understand. “I care about both of you a lot. It’s not about sex at all. I want to make you both happy, I need you to be with me and I desperately wish for you both to be safe. Please, Taeyong, please. You have to believe me.”
Taeyong immediately dropped his hand off Yuta and turned around, pulling you into his arms. He stroked your hair softly, making you feel comfortable and cared for.
“It’s okay, princess, I believe you. And I forgive you. Both of you.”
“Can you now tell Yuta what you told me earlier?” you asked hopefully.
“Alright, I believe I’ve tortured him long enough,” Taeyong chuckled fondly.
“Huh?” Yuta seemed like the most confused little lion in the universe. “What did I miss?”
“I wanted to ask you a question, actually,” Taeyong replied calmly.
“Hold up. So, you don’t want to kill me?!”
“I mean...not more than I usually do,” the werewolf joked.
“That’s fair. But continue,” the vampire shrugged.
“You already know how Y/N feels about both of us. And I already know you’re attracted to her. But I wanted to ask you how do you feel about me?” Taeyong inquired.
“You’re my best friend, Taeyong. Clearly, I hate your guts,” Yuta responded wittily, obviously meaning the exact opposite.
“Friendship aside, how do you feel about me...man to man?”
“Don’t you know already?” Yuta looked away, refusing to meet Taeyong’s dark gaze. The vampire wasn’t really good at talking openly about his feelings.
“Humour me.”
“I hate your guts,” he repeated stubbornly. “I hate how you’re so responsible. I hate how you’re scolding me for the littlest things. I hate how you always mean well even when you’re acting angry. I hate your stupid face and your pretty hands. But what I hate most is that I don’t hate you at all.”
Taeyong shook his head in disbelief and crashed his lips into Yuta’s. Honestly, it was the cutest sight you’d ever witnessed and you involuntarily let out a quiet squeal.
“I can’t believe you pulled a Ten Things I Hate About You to confess,” Taeyong chuckled after eventually breaking the kiss.
“I can’t believe it took me sleeping with your mate to figure it out,” Yuta replied.
“Yeah, about that...I can’t believe I might have more than one mate.”
“Wait, what? Me?” Yuta laughed in disbelief.
“Yes, you, silly,” Taeyong confirmed with a smile.
“And what I can’t believe is what wonderful things come out of attempted murder,” you chimed in helpfully. “Pun-intended. Because of the come out part.”
“Oh no, we’re rubbing off on her,” Taeyong sighed.
“Group hug!” you interrupted him and attacked them with cuddles. A lot of them, actually.
“Ewww,” Yuta complained. “Are all humans so clingy?”
“You get used to it,” Taeyong winked.
By the morning, Taeyong realized Yuta’s scent was not only all over you. It was all over Taeyong himself, as well. And he didn’t mind. In fact, he wouldn’t have it any other way...
To be continued...

I think it would be cute if you wrote something about tonks meeting lyall lupin for the first time, I've always wondered what their first interaction would be
I ended up losing a massive chunk of the middle of this and had to rewrite it, and almost JUSY deleted the whole thing in annoyance. but I do like this request, so here it is. enjoy!
And The POV shifts half way through. Just an fyi.
Pairing: Remus lupin x Nymphadora Tonks
Warnings: none
check my masterlist if you wanna see my other writing and feel free to drop me a request!
“ you’re worrying about nothing. It’s gonna be fine “ Nymphadora said as she hopped around trying to pull on her boot, she’d already fallen over twice and Remus was somewhat waiting for the third time “ I mean it’s no big deal right? It’s not like you and him are best buds- You’re not round there every weekend. If he doesn’t like me I just.. won’t have to see him. Really Remus I. I don’t know why you’re so worried “ she huffed in between some of her words as she continued to battle with the boot that just didn’t want to go on over the three pairs of socks she had on. Though watching the whole event was slightly easing his nerves actually “ fucking boot “
They were going to visit his father. More out of a simple common decency than a true want or desire to visit. He felt it was only polite that he introduce his father to his soon to be wife.
He’d sent his father a letter a week ago so that it wouldn’t be a complete bombshell of a meeting. Contact with his father had been little to none since the first war. They wrote to each other maybe once every few months, just to check The other was still alive. But with the heightening of the second war he’d been in contact a little more frequently to ensure his father was protected. And he’d actually gone to visit him in person for the first time in 10 years 9 or so months ago. And it had been awkward as ever and he’d not stayed very long.
But after writing and informing him of his upcoming marriage to Nymphadora, Lyall had asked to meet her. Remus had planned to just say he’d never received such a letter and not even tell Dora about it. But she’d read it over his shoulder as he sat contemplating it on the sofa and insisted they went.
He was still trying to recover from the slightly wobbly first meeting he’d had with Doras parents two weeks ago. That hadn’t exactly been a barrel of laughs. Ted had been very welcoming, very much the mirror of his daughter. But Andromeda has been slightly more cold. He had excepted it in a way, she was a Black after all. And no matter how much she had distanced herself from them, that air of superiority was still faintly there. Though she had warmed to him towards the end of The night- even after a slight tiff at the dinner table between herself and Nymphadora after Andromeda had shared her concerns of her daughter marrying a werewolf. Which he guessed were all completely valid points. But he believed they were on the same page of a sorts now.
But Lyall was a whole new ball game. He didn’t have an exactly wonderful relationship with him. Hadn’t done since the night Remus was attacked. Hope had been the one to love and protect and treat her son with all the same kindness and care. If not more. But Lyall had distanced himself greatly. He could barely stand to look at Remus most days as he was growing up. Even less so when Hope had died. But maybe things would be different now. He hoped they would anyway.
After watching Dora struggle for a few more minutes with her boot he pushed himself out of his chair at their little table. He walked over to her, nodding his head at the kitchen counter, and placed his hands gently on her arms to help her up. He knelt down with a slight wince as his aching knees creaked, still in that seemingly never ending throbbing period the week or so after the moon, and carefully loosened off the tight laces.
“ you are unbelievably optimistic “ Remus said as he slipped the boot from her foot that she’d only managed to wedge halfway, not looking up at her as he spoke. She’d see right through him and see his nerves if he did.
“ aren’t I always? “ she was “ what’s he like then anyway? Your dad? “ she asked as he continued loosening the laces she’d tightened to the extreme in her attempt to yank the boot onto her foot. Remus didn’t particularly know how to answer the question. Because maybe the Lyall Lupin that Remus had known as a child had changed. Or perhaps not. Either way he didn’t feel as know he really knew his father. They were strangers really.
“ quiet “ he said as he finally loosened the laces enough for Dora to wiggle her foot into the boot, which he laced up for her in a neat bow “ maybe if you didn’t wear so many socks you’d get into your shoes more easily “ he said as he tapped her ankle to signal he’d done before rising to his feet.
“ I get cold feet “ she said with a shrug before hooking her boot behind Remus’ leg and tugging him closer “ now don’t change the subject. Tell me about your dad. What am I walking into? “
Again, Remus didn’t really know how to answer her. He was going in just as blind as she was. Remus could lie and tell her everything would be alright, the Lyall Lupin was an energetic soul and happy and loved to laugh and tell bad jokes. Bit Remus hadn’t know that man since he was 4 years old. He’d grown up knowing a man that resented him, that could look at him with guilt and sympathy. Not like his son. Like a victim. A stranger.
“ I don’t know “ he said honestly after a moment of thinking “ you know we haven’t talked much. He’s… he’s quiet now. Keeps himself to himself. Mopey “ Nymphadora have a small nod and chewed on her lip for a moment, deep in thought.
“ should I tone it down a bit? Mum said I can come across a bit.. Loud sometimes. Mad as a box of pixies “ Remus smiled in a mild sympathy and shook his head, brushing her hair away from her face gently.
“ no. Don’t be anything but your normal, wonderful self. You don’t need to change for the approval of my father. I love you because you’re mad as a box of pixies darling “ a grin spread across her face and she planted a kiss on his lips before hopping off the counter.
“ well I best finish getting ready then aye? “ he watched her with a smile as she stood in front of the mirror faffing around with her hair for a bit. He let her get on with it and tried to distract himself from the ever looming trip to his fathers, re reading the address they would apparate to again and again. Just for something to do.
He wished they were going to visit his mother instead. Hope would have adored Nymphadora, he was certain of it. She’d have been amazed at her gifts, in awe of her determination and her stubbornness too. They were so alike. It was one of the reasons he’d used Hopes old ring to propose to Nymphadora in the first place. But they weren’t meeting Hope. They never would be either.
“ right. You ready? “ Dora asked as she turned away from where she’d been doing one last check of her hair in the mirror by the door a few minutes later “ Remus? “ he nodded slightly and just took a moment to look at her, admire how beautiful she looked. She’d hadn’t toned herself down one bit for the visit. She had mentioned a slight concern that Lyall might find her a bit too ‘ in your face ‘ before today too, but after the little kitchen chat… she was very much her usual self. He loved her as she was, so unashamedly herself and he didn’t need her to change just because of his father.
Her hair was morphed into waves to just below her chin, an amalgamation of different shades of blue that made it look as though it were shifting colour everytime the light caught it. Bright and bold as she always was “ oi, Remus. Staring into space “ her fingers clicked in front of his face and his cheeks warmed slightly making her smile.
“ sorry. I was simply admiring “ she brushed some none existent creases from her black dress and gave him a warm smile.
“ I look alright then? Sure it’s not too much? “ he brought a hand up to cup her cheek and shook his head.
“ beautiful as ever “ she smiled again and looped her arms around his neck.
“ soppy sod “ she kissed him gently, standing up on her tip toes to reach him better, but pulled away far too quickly for his liking “ now stop wasting time. We’ll be late “ he internally groaned and realised there really was no more time wasting to be done. It was going to happen whether he wanted it to or not. So he sucked it up and held onto her hand as they left his cottage and passed the apparation line.
As always just lately his skin prickled with the fear that someone may be watching them, most of the order had commented that they had been followed at least once in the last few months. So he didn’t hesitate before pulling Nymphadora into his embrace.
“ hold on and focus on me “ he said quietly and placed a kiss to the top of her head before apparating with a crack.
———————
The cold sea air hit her the second they appeared in the tiny welsh village that Lyall lived in, suddenly quite pleased with her three pairs of socks. She’d always wondered if it’d be quite nice to live by the seaside, but the bitter night chill coming off the sea was quite the deterrent. She really was a city girl at heart. She only partially unravelled herself from Remus’ hold when they’d regained their bearings from the apparation, staying huddled to his side and front to steal his warmth. He was always warm, his blood practically boiling within his veins, he was practically her very own portable heater.
“ cold? “ Remus asked softly and wrapped his arm around her as they made their way down the street to Lyalls house. Remus had encased the property in as many protective spells as he could think of on his last visit, so a little distance was needed on their arrival.
“ bloody freezing “ he gave a small chuckle and she took it as a good sign. He wasn’t as stressed as he’d seemed back at home. Though it very quickly changed when they reached Lyalls house. He paused at the front gate and Tonks gave him a moment, she knew it must’ve been hard. She just hoped the evening went well. She didn’t particularly care whether Lyall liked her or not, his answer wouldn’t change Remus’ mind. And Remus was the only opinion she cared about. Though it would be nice if he did like her. Just a bit “ ready? “ she asked after a moment, worried that they were standing out in the open for too long. He gave a small nod and they walked up the garden path.
The house itself was much different to her own parents home. Andromeda and Teds house was pretty big. A beautiful country home with Andromedas pin perfect garden, with all its beautifully pruned flowers and bushes. And Teds garden gnomes that he’d had to convince Andromeda for months to have.
Lyalls home was far more modest. The garden wasn’t exactly a mess but wasn’t as tidy. It seemed to have tools lying around that signified Lyall must have a vegetable patch somewhere. The house was small and she guessed that as it was only him there, that was really all the space he’d need.
Remus froze again on the door step and she looked up at him with a sympathetic smile.
“ when you’re ready. Take your time “ she said softly and reached to squeeze his hand reassuringly. But before Remus really had much more time to process the door creaked open.
Remus didn’t look much like his father. Small similarities were there but nothing that really struck her as the same. Even the height was a difference. She wondered if Remus got his height from his mother instead.
“ dad “ Remus finally spoke, a little quieter than she thought he’d meant to. He cleared his throat and turned slightly towards Nymphadora, his hand gripping hers even tighter “ this. This is Nymphadora Tonks… my fiancé “ Lyall himself still hadn’t spoken and she felt a slight awkwardness filling the air. And she always had the instinct to just ramble when she felt awkward. So she couldn’t really stop herself.
“ hi! Really great to meet you “ she said with the brightest smile she could muster and held her hand out for Lyall to shake. He took it a little tentatively but shook it.
“ it’s very nice to meet you “ his accent was quite thick and it made her wonder if Remus would have picked it up a little more if he’d not been forced to moved around so much as a child, or left home so young. Sometimes on certain words she thought she caught a slight tinge of it. But overall it wasn’t really there “ come on. It’s quite cold out tonight “ Remus placed a gentle hand to her back to guide her inside and made sure to reseal the charms on the door when it closed.
It was much warmer inside, it felt quite cosy actually. She could smell a fire burning and what seemed to be roast beef cooking somewhere on the house. It reminded her a bit of Remus’ cottage. Homely.
Lyall led them through into the living room and she and Remus sat down together on the sofa, Lyall taking the chair opposite. He sat towards the edge, his hands clasped in front of him, and that mildly awkward silence crept in again and had to restrain herself from blabbing out something. Anything.
“ so. Where did you both meet? “ Lyall said after a few more moments and Tonks glanced up at Remus. She didn’t know if Lyall was aware of the order and that would really be the cherry on the already shit cake, accidentally outing the order. So she left him to it
“ at work “ he simply said “ Nymphadora works for the ministry, she visited Hogwarts on Ministry duties whilst I was in my teaching position there “ he lied smoothly. The lie added significantly more time onto their relationship and she wondered if he had done that purposely. Especially after her own parents had expressed concern at the timeline of their relationship.
“ and. She knows? “ Tonks did bristle slightly at the way Lyall spoke as if she wasn’t there for a moment, only glancing at her as he looked over at Remus “ about- “
“ yes. I know “ she said quite matter of factly, before clearing her throat slightly. Remembering she was trying to create a good impression here. She took a breathe and shifted a little closer to Remus “ I know. And I don’t care about it either. We deal with it. In fact I’m in the process of learning how to brew wolfsbane “ she hadn’t actually told Remus that yet, but it kind of slipped out in some attempt to prove she was good enough almost.
Remus’ eyes darted to her as she said it, his features softening at the knowledge she was attempting to make his monthly horrors easier. She knew when they got home he’d probably start fretting over her wasting her money on him, or some other useless argument. It it wouldn’t change her mind. She was so close to getting it right and she was determined to get it perfect. Even out if simple pure stubbornness at this point.
“ it’s an incredibly hard potion to brew “ Lyall said slightly harshly.
“ yes well shes very talented “ Remus quipped back at his father.
“ the ingredients are expensive too “
“ I have the funds. I’m an auror “ she neglected to tell him that she had in fact been sacked several months ago, on suspicion of just about everything she could possibly do wrong in the eyes of the ministry. It was either leave quietly or find herself sat on trial. But in the current circumstances she was starting to see it as a good thing. She was engaged to a werewolf after all. And people had been killed for less just lately.
“ I am surprised “ Lyall spoke again, seemingly hell bent on his attempts to throw a negative at every positive they could give him “ I read recently about the tightening of the anti werewolf legislations. There are loopholes for Aurors? “
“ we understand now isn’t… ideal “ Remus said and she couldn’t help but notice he sounded a little defeated. She silently prayed he wouldn’t end up falling into one of his moods after they left. When he simply seemed to become the sadness person to walk the earth, sometimes sobbing to her that he wasn’t good enough. But he sat a little straighter instead “ but Nymphadora and I- we…. I love her. Very much so. We’re willing to take the risks to prove it “ he’d starting referring to them as a ‘we’ much more frequently. No longer speaking as though Nymphadora was risking so much alone, or carrying such a burden in loving him. He was finally seeing them as a team. Equals.
The conversation didn’t particularly improve much even when they sat at the table for dinner. It was a mostly silent affair with Lyall occasionally popping up to say something else or question something else.
Remus held her hand under the table, his fingers fiddling with hers, anxiously twisting her engagement ring around her finger. She wondered why he was still so anxious around his father. Even after so many years. She was half tempted to silently cast a calming spell, to try ease his nerves and get him to relax a little. She had full contact of his hand, it’s be easy enough to do. But she didn’t like to without asking him first. Even if she did think it would help. Though from how Lyall had been behaving she guessed she couldn’t blame his nerves.
Though when Remus dismissed himself to use the bathroom. There was a silence as Remus left the room and Tonks sat fiddling with her hands. She wasn’t one to be nervous. Or awkward. But she felt an awkwardness so strong it made her shift in her seat a little. She felt as though Remus had let he’d dumped all of his nerves onto her as he’d left the room.
“ you do realise that you are taking a very large risk. Especially in the current situation “ it had been silent for so long that his speaking startled her slightly and she looked at him a little confused. “ marrying a werewolf… it’s unheard of. For good reason “ she held her tongue as he continued to speak “ it seems a shame to limit your life by marrying him. You’re young. A good job. You could loose it all. You’d never be able to live a normal life with him. Never have a family. I’d be surprised if you will actually be able to find anyone to even marry the pair of you “
“ I’m in love him. I don’t care what he is or what his condition means risking. I love him. And he loves me. That’s all that really matters. Especially in the current situation “ she kept her voice calm, thinking that Remus wouldn’t be too happy to have her screeching at his father “ we’ve already started to arrange things for the wedding. I’ve never wanted kids anyway. And no job is worth more to me than Remus is. And as for my age? Please, you don’t think I’ve already heard that one before? I’m a perfectly sane minded adult who knows exactly what I’m doing and I can make my own choices. I don’t particularly care what others think about it either “ her voice had picked up slightly towards the end but Lyall didn’t seem phased by it. In fact he looked as though he pondered on her words for a moment, before nodding his head slowly.
“ I just have to warn you. You understand? I’ve seen the affect it has on the people who love him and who he loves. His mother… “ he trailed off, his voicing catching in his throat as he so clearly struggled with Hopes memory. Even so many years on “ she tried to care for him. Love him the same “
“ and why didn’t you “ he seemed taken aback by her words and she was surprised she’d actually said them. But they hadn’t exactly gotten off on a good path to begin with, so there was no real harm in making it any worse now. She thought then that she saw something by the door, but a glance in the direction and she saw nothing. But she wasn’t stupid. She wondered how long Remus had been listening.
“ I blame myself “ she stopped herself from telling him he should. That it was his fault. That his own big headedness had left a tiny Remus traumatised and changed for life. That it was his fault he’d been outcast and alone. But she held her tongue “ the guilt I had every time I looked at him… and even now. It twists my stomach. I feel sick with it “
“ he needed love more than ever, he still does. And you turned him away. I won’t. I won’t stop loving him I won’t run away because I feel sorry for him or guilt or whatever. I’m not going anywhere. Which is exactly what you should have done too. “ Lyall didn’t speak again for a few moments before a small, sad smile pulled at his face.
“ Hope. She would have liked you “ she didn’t like that he seemed as though he was changing the subject. But the thought that Hope Lupin, Remus’ pride and joy, would have liked her sent her heart a flutter “ you’re like her. You know what you want. You won’t let others change your mind. I still think it best to be wary of your situation, but I know I can’t change your mind “
“ you can’t “ she confirmed and turned her head as Remus finally returned. She pretended not to notice the small smile on his face. She got the idea he’d been listening the entire time. Lyall looked between the pair of them before smiling and focussing on Remus.
“ your mother would be very proud of you “ she heard Remus’ sharp intake of breath at the statement and his eyes looked glassy. As if he were fighting back his tears. Remus wasn’t particularly good with emotion and Lyall didn’t seem to be either. So when Lyall stood up then she got the feeling their conversations were over. It had been a heavy night.
Nymphadora helped to clean away their plates and when Lyall assured her he didn’t need her to wash up, that she was a guest, she wandered back out of the kitchen to find Remus.
He was in the living room by the fireplace, looking at the row of picture frames. She walked beside him, placing a gentle hand to his back.
“ that your mum? “ she asked softly, looking at the frame Remus had in his hands. It was a moving picture of a woman smiling, sat on what seemed to be a picnic blanket. Her face was kind, soft, she looked like one of those people that just simply could never be mad. A heart so pure that nothing but happiness radiated from her.
“ yes “ Remus almost whispered, his full of adoration for the woman in the picture. He didn’t speak much of his parents but he had told her briefly of Hope. And how highly he held, how much he truly adored her.
“ you look like her “ Remus’ face softened at the sound of that, as of it had been the greatest praise he could’ve ever received “ you have her eyes… kind eyes “ she pressed her face against his arm and reached out for another picture “ I wish I could have met her “ Remus shifted to wrap his arm around her shoulders, pulling her into his side.
“ she would have loved you. She’d have been amazed at your abilities. She was always so interested in learning about magic… she had your sense of humour too “
“ completely lost her marbles then? “ she teased and Remus laughed for the first time that evening.
“ yes. Completely “

A Knight’s Lady: 4
The rest of the ride passes in comfortable silence. Steve drifts off for a while, as do you when you wake it’s nearly dark and the carriage has stopped. Steve isn’t in the carriage anymore so you pop open the door to see where he’s gone. The men are doing something and Strange is walking around the group muttering something. Your gaze lands on Steve’s just as he glances up and sees you’re out of the carriage. He leaves the man that he’s talking to and makes his way to you.
“So, some bad news. We’re going to have to make camp here tonight. The werewolf attack made us fall behind and once it’s dark it’s not safe to travel.”
“Alright.”
“You can sleep in the carriage.”
“I-I’d rather not be alone.”
“You’d rather sleep outside then in the carriage?” He asks looking surprised and you nod. “Alright, if that’s what you’d like. I’ll have Strange set something up for you to change, Clinton and Peter are getting food ready. Anything I can do to make you more comfortable?”
“I’d like t-to meet your men.”
“Of course.” He offers you his arm then leads you over to the fire. The men instantly quiet as you approach, “Knights. Your Duchess, m’lady this is Samuel, Strange you’ve met, Anthony, James Rhodes who we call Rhodes, James who we call Bucky you’ve also met, and Thor. When Clinton and Peter get back I’ll introduce you to them too.”
“How are you finding the trip your Grace?” Anthony asks placing another log on the fire.
“It’s been pleasant. I-I’ve never s-seen anything so gr-green.” Damn your nerves, they’re going to think you a fool.
“Have you ever been North?” Rhodes asks and you shake your head no. “It only gets greener.” He tells you with a smile, “and the wild flowers are like nothing I’ve ever seen.” Thankfully two figures come out of the woods then with a deer hung on a branch between them.
“The one on the left is Clinton, the smaller on the right is Peter. He’s the only man who isn’t a knight, yet. I expect that to change on our next trip to the capitol.” Steve says softly into your ear.
“He looks v-very young.”
“Worth more than many men twice his age.” Steve says and you nod, you have this feeling he means your father. “He must be close to your age.”
“I’m twenty and six.” Steve seems surprised, “F-father was m-m-more concerned with marrying off D-D-Daisy.”
“I cannot believe that no one tried to marry you.”
“One d-did. Lord Thanos.” A older man with a temper to match your father’s.
“What happened?”
“Daisy. She c-convinced father it w-would be a sh-shame on our family. F-for the daughter of a Earl to m-marry a L-Lord.”
“Should I ever meet Daisy remind me to thank her.”
“H-how did you know?”
“Know what?”
“About me?”
“I saw you once. Your father held that tournament and I saw you when I was in the garden. You were sitting on the ground, behind some flowering bushes in this pale pink dress, reading a book and I was enchanted. I’d heard of your sister but I had Philip ask around and once I knew who you were I put a plan into action.”
“I’m grateful.”
“I’m glad.” He says with a soft smile. The men have been preparing the deer for dinner and they’re setting up a spit to start cooking. You watch quietly as they get started, as the sun goes down it gets cooler and the breeze no longer is refreshing but cold. You don’t have clothes for the north, you wrap your arms around your torso and will yourself not to shake.
The fire dances under the meat as they spin it and you’re mesmerized, it’s so peaceful, if only the wind would die down a bit. You shiver once and Steve looks down at you.
“Are you alright? Are you cold?”
“Yes.”
“Do you have anything in your trunk?”
“N-no.” He stands abruptly and you have to bite back the little moan that builds in your throat at the loss of his warmth. His cape is draped gently over your shoulders and his scent envelopes you as the warmth does too.
“Why didn’t you say anything?” He asks sounding angry as he sits back down next to you.
“I-I’m s-s-sorry.” You stammer, it was only a matter of time that he got angry with you.
“It’s not your fault, I should’ve known that you wouldn’t have warm clothing. I’ll make sure to get you some as soon as we get to the next village. Something fur lined I think.” A few minutes later Bucky comes up with two plates of food and passes one to you,
“Have you ever had venison your Grace?”
“No, it sm-smells delicious.” And it is, the men chat among themselves while you eat then set up a watch schedule despite Strange insisting that his shield was all that was needed. Steve brings two rolled up mats over to you and lays one down next to the other.
“Do you want to change into something else to sleep?” He asks gently, “none of the knights will look.”
“N-no.” You tell him, you couldn’t get out of this dress alone anyways.
“Are you sure?” He says and you nod you take the blanket he passes you then lay down on the mat nearest to the fire while he starts to pull off his armor, Peter comes over quickly and helps him taking each piece off with practiced ease. He’s not as big without the armor, he’s still big just less so. He joins you on the ground with a soft sigh then glances over at you. He doesn’t say anything, just smiles softly over at you. You can’t help but smile back at him.
The next two days are much of the same, traveling, stopping to eat, Steve buys you a beautiful fur lined cloak with deep purple outside. It’s truly the most beautiful thing anyone has ever given you just for you. On the last night of your travel you’re laying on the ground as the fire dies next to you. Steve had agreed to take first watch and was sitting at your side when a flash of light catches your eye.
“What was that?” You whisper sitting up and Steve looks over at you.
“What was what?”
“Are those fireflies?” You ask pointing, they seem too big to be normal fireflies.
“No, be very still and very quiet.” He says before sliding you slowly back against him. “They’re fairies,” he breathes into your ear, “it’s very rare to see them and they’re very skittish around humans. This is only the second time I’ve seen them and never this many.” There must be nearly a dozen dancing colorful lights, you watch them silently, your back pressed to Steve’s chest. It’s one of the most beautiful things you’ve ever seen, it’s so soothing that you end up drifting off against him.

OMG THOSE BASICALLY-COUPLE SCENES WERE SO CUTE!!
And they were so fitting for their various personalities.
Like, Kira and Scott are so adorably awkward with each other (Kira's dad is also an A++ parent, for the record), but also so sweet and understanding with each other.
The way she helped him with the chopsticks. And he was so awkward with them, and she was so hesitant to put her hand on his, but then once they were touching and working together it worked so well and he did it (well, sort of lol. That said, that girl's reflexes, holy sh*t.)
And then the way she fed it to him and her little smile and his little smile.
And then Scott with the wasabi OMG you poor baby. XD
"Scott what happened to your wasabi?" "*slowly dying* I thought it was guacamole."
THAT IS SUCH A COMMON MISTAKE IN MEDIA AND IT WILL NEVER NOT BE FUNNY! XD
Ahhhhh, they're just so cute and so awkward and so wholesome and so soft and I love it and I SHIP THEM SO HARD! SCIRA FOR THE WIN! <3
And then STYDIA!!! AHHHH I LOVE THOSE TWO SO MUCH!!!
The way Lydia just started slowly breaking down because she doesn't trust herself or her abilities and she genuinely felt so bad for getting Stiles in trouble because she feels like it was for no reason.
But then the way Stiles was so quick to tell her that she's definitely right, and she's always been right, and that he would never blame her and never doubt her because he will always trust her and always have her back.
And the symbolism in her wrapping her finger up in the red string, because she's an unsolved mystery, and Stiles just reaching over and unwrapping it, because as far as he's concerned, there's nothing to solve about her, because she's perfect exactly the way she is.
And then the fact that what she said was able to give Stiles the idea about the chemicals at the school, and then Lydia knowing the chemical symbols helping them put together the pieces of who Barrow's going after.
They're just both so smart and so easily guilt-ridden, but as a result, they understand each other so well, and they love and support and care about each other so much, and they're seriously the best power couple on this show and I JUST LOVE THEM SO MUCH WOULD YOU TWO JUST START DATING ALREADY PLEASE?! <3 <3 <3 <3
And then Allison and Isaac oh my god. XD XD
The sass and the smirking and the badassery.
The fact that Allison electrified the windows and very intentionally neglected to mention it.
The way the two of them tease each other, but also look at each other with so much love and affection.
The way they both clearly care about each other, but both tend to hide their emotions and keep their distance because their trauma plagues them too much.
I mean, I loved Scott and Allison. I did. But honestly, the more I see it, the more I feel like Allison and Isaac were just made for each other. Like, those two are truly meant to be.
Their personalities just mesh so much better. Their respective sassiness and bad boy/bad girl energy and "touch me and I'll kill you" vibe just blend so well and I love them so much. <3 <3 <3
Ahhhh I love my little couples. Please make them all go canon. Please please please???
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I mean LOOK AT THEM! How can you not love these couples?? <3 < <3)
UPDATE: WE NEED MORE GIFS!! ALLISAAC ALMOST KISSED!! FOLLOWED BY WHAT WAS BOUND TO BE A MAKE-OUT SESSION! (The way Isaac tried to pretend he wasn't gonna kiss her, and then the way Allison got all mad when she clearly wanted to kiss him as badly as he wanted to kiss her THEY WERE MADE FOR EACH OTHER GOSH DARNAT!) BUT INTERRUPTED BY... "Another werewolf?!" Poor Isaac OMG. The way Chris said "where I keep my guns". XD Just let them be happy, Chris. They love each other, okay? (That said...I do see where he's coming from. Anyways.) SCIRA ATE PIZZA TOGETHER!! All cute and sweet and the whole "no offense to sushi" and then "yeah we probably should've started you on California rolls" and just their general adorableness. AND THEN THEY WERE ALL FLIRTY!!! With the "you seem like a really nice guy" and Scott's little smile with the "what else did I do?" "You remembered my name." <3 <3 And then they got f*cking interrupted by f*cking Barrow so, like, that's f*cking great, thanks for that. I'm worried as all heck, but I have faith that they're gonna save her because THEY WOULDN'T DO ME DIRTY LIKE THAT WOULD THEY?! ...would they? :( :( :( :( Anyways. Cheering myself up. I don't really have any major cute updates of Stydia but I'll attach a new gif because apparently they basically held hands earlier in the episode and I missed it??? <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Snake Charmer: Sesskag fic
Tumblr media
Summary: Sesshoumaru is extremely amused by the prey currently trapped in his den. Kagome just wanted a vacation. Naga Sesshoumaru fic. Sesskag AU.
Rated M
Read on Ao3, fanfiction.net or Dokuga
AN: Sooo I might make a series of stories featuring Monster! Sess or Monster! Kagome. I've already written a vampire one and a werewolf one. Shall see! I hope you enjoy this.
Snake Charmer pt. 1
Impossibly blue skies free from clouds stretched out above her head that bright and cheerful morning. It was hot. Uncomfortably so, but Kagome welcomed it despite the sweat beading at the back of her neck. Clad in a two-piece bikini hidden by her cute blue summer dress, the cotton thankfully thin and breezy, she drank in the sunny scenery greedily.
Hawaii sprawled out, with its rolling hills, high cliffs and exotic greenery. True, it was a little tourist-centric where they were staying, but the Japanese college students could hardly complain.
"I'm so excited for cliff diving~" Eri grinned, practically buzzing as they walked down a road beside the ocean. "Kyle said he'd meet us there, right? Do you think he'd be more attracted to a confident girl, or should I pretend to be scared?"
Yuka rolled her eyes, adjusting the strap of her bag over one shoulder. "From the way you were flirting last night at the hotel, I don't think he'll care either way."
"Maybe just fake a dizzy spell so he can catch you in his big strong arms~" Ayumi giggled.
"And what about you? I'm sure his friend will be there."
"Oh, don't get my hopes up!"
The three laughed, noticing their friend's silence once the girlish giggles died down.
"What's wrong, Kagome?" brows knitted with concern, Ayumi gently tapped her shoulder.
Shaken from her reverie, Kagome dragged her distracted gaze away from the ocean. "Hm? Oh… nothing," she smiled. "I was just thinking about what that man tried to say to us."
"You mean the Native we saw earlier?" Yuka arched a brow. "Forget it, none of us know Hawaiian and when he switched to English it was a lost cause. None of us can string a sentence together."
"It's true, I forget most of mine when we left school," Ayumi sighed mournfully.
"I flunked English," Eri smirked.
Shaking her head, Kagome folded her arms and frowned, "maybe so, but I could pick out a few of his words. 'Water' and 'no' with some kind of motion with his hands. He approached us while Kyle was talking to us about the cliff diving location with that map. Maybe it's a dangerous area, and the man was trying to warn us?"
"If it was a warning, Kyle would have told us. He said it was fine, just that we should be wary of any rocks, but he knows the area. It's standard stuff," waving this off, Eri quickened her pace, heels clanking on the hot road.
"He knows the area better than a guy who lives here?" Kagome drawled, sharing a glance with Ayumi. Her more sensitive friend bit her lip, giving a weak shrug.
"Let's at least check it out," she said, adding more under her breath; "Eri is really excited. We can humour her a little by meeting with Kyle again today. None of us has to jump."
Releasing a breath, Kagome set her concerns aside for now. It wasn't like she wanted to be a wet blanket about it. Still, the man's wide, imploring brown eyes continued to nag at her mind. Such an expression could bridge the gap in communication. She'd practically felt his concern.
---
Kyle was a tanned, brown-haired boy travelling around the world. He struck Kagome as the adrenalin junkie type. Eri fawned over him, positively smitten. It was rare for a foreigner from London to be so well versed in Japanese, and they'd met through an online dating site, organising a get together while he was in Hawaii. Thus Kagome and the others had been dragged along. Kyle was practically their tour guide and means of verbal communication with English speakers.
His friends were less fluent in Japanese. The three shirtless blonde-haired young men flustered both Yuka and Ayumi, talking in broken sentences.
Kagome couldn't say she minded the male attention as they walked together to the cliffs. Obviously, they weren't up for anything permanent, just fooling around. Kagome had indulged in that sort of thing before. Unfortunately, it was quickly becoming boring. Men just couldn't get a clue. Whether it was a long-term boyfriend or a one-night stand, a playboy or attentive virgin, she found her experiences frustrating on a level she couldn't quite understand. It was lacklustre.
Perhaps today would be different. It would've been nice to hang out with Kyle's friends and get to know them if she could just rid herself of the man's warning.
"This is the spot," Kyle grinned, showing his dimples.
The group had stopped atop a cliff with a few trees littered near the edge. Yuka peered over the lip of the side, holding onto a branch.
"Wow, that's uh… quite a drop."
Kyle rolled his shoulder, muscles coiling. "It looks worse than it is. So! Who's going first?" he grinned wider, clapping his hands and rubbing them together.
Eri laughed nervously, hugging his arm, "shouldn't you go, oh fearless leader?"
"I believe in ladies first," sea-foam blue eyes strayed to Kagome, who remained a little uncomfortable.
"What about your friend?"
"Ah- she's a little afraid. I don't think she'll be jumping," Eri dismissed.
"Aww c'mon," Kyle broke away from her to gesture to Kagome, inviting her closer. "At least take a look. No point in walkin' all the way here and not seeing the view at least."
"I can see it fine from here," Kagome gave a smile that showed her teeth. "Thanks anyway."
"Kagome."
Judging from her friend's expressions, they clearly wanted her to act more respectful.
Biting back a sigh, Kagome forced a more amiable smile upon her lips and stepped closer to the edge, peering down.
To Kyle's credit, it was a stunning view. She'd never seen water so crystal clear and blue. She couldn't tell how deep it plunged, but the waves rolled pure white, not a blemish in sight. No deadly rocks either.
What had the man been warning us about?
"What do ya think?" a playful voice rasped close to her ear. Kagome felt the heat of his body draw near.
Her lips pursed, "it's beautiful," she allowed. Maybe she was being too much of a stick in the mud, it wasn't like her.
"Then- why not take a closer look?"
Hands shoved.
Blue eyes flew wide as Kagome felt her body careen forward, hair swooping back. Letting out a fearful scream, Kagome felt her feet drag and fly free from solid earth. Gravity pulled her down.
Falling was surreal, disorientating. She'd pretty much left her stomach back with her friends it lept so violently. She couldn't tell up from down, but the ocean swooped in closer and closer.
Instinctively, Kagome sucked in a huge breath.
Making impact with warm waters, she plunged deep beneath the surface, bubbles obscuring her vision.
Almost immediately, still, serene waters swirled into motion.
Kagome's heart thundered with alarm, bracing herself. She mindlessly kicked her legs out of instinct the second something started pulling her downwards. Trying hard to break away from the current, her efforts proved to be in vain as it swept her up like a whirlpool.
Kagome closed her eyes. It became impossible to know where she was, how far the surface lay beyond her reach. Her lungs strained.
Getting desperate, Kagome abandoned all logic and started to swim with the current rather than fight it. If she was going to die, she'd rather it be while doing something. Staying motionless didn't suit her.
Aching lungs grappled for air, and Kagome felt herself weaken. Desperate motions slowed. Her mind hazed with fog, becoming dizzy.
Gradually, she began to resemble a motionless rag-doll.
Something strong and sturdy wrapped around her waist, pulling her body.
Kagome weakly felt the sensation of being yanked. Shadows entered her murky gaze like she'd passed through a tunnel, lights soon reaching her again. And then she was suddenly flicked up and released.
Gasping the second her head broke free from salty waters, she sucked in sharp breaths and coughing violently. Kagome then promptly collapsed.
She blearily noticed the dim lighting and smooth rock she found herself splayed upon, shuddering. I almost died.
It took a few moments to adjust and control her breathing, but eventually, after laying there and recovering from the experience, Kagome shakily roused herself enough to sit up. Looking around, she found a cavern of sorts awaiting her. The layout was spacious. Rock walls sprawled around her, a single circular opening high above in the ceiling allowing a circle of concentrated sunlight to pour down into the ocean pool she'd surfaced in.
Kagome pulled herself onto a rocky platform, following a walkway around the water and leaving wet footprints on cool stone in her wake. Thick shadows lay beyond the opposite side of the pool, with a multitude of paths in the rock-face branching off in different directions. They looked as though they'd been hollowed out by a huge earthworm. Kagome wagered they were a maze of sorts.
No way am I going in there.
Glancing up at the natural skylight, Kagome bit her lip. Such smooth rock would be too steep and slippy to climb, and she doubted a helicopter passing overhead could spot her inside. She wasn't even sure how far she was from the mainland. Silence reigned within the lonely cavern, save for lapping water within the glittering pool. She couldn't hear any tourists or speedboats outside.
Kagome swallowed.
The pool.
She didn't exactly like the idea of chancing another swim. However, diving in again to reach the open ocean could be her only chance of finding help.
Putting it off for now, Kagome wandered around the edge of the pool, rubbing her arms absentmindedly. She felt shaken from the high fall alone, never mind nearly dying from a random whirlpool.
"That's what that man was trying to warn us about," she mused to herself, glancing at the water. "I hope Kyle doesn't push anyone else in. That bastard!" she seethed. She'd always been a strong swimmer, but if he had pushed in Ayumi, even with regular waters, the situation could've been dangerous. The idea of it only pissed her off even more. "When I get outta here, I'm giving him a piece of my mind. I bet he'll say - 'ohh it was just a joke.' Ha! You can tell that to my fist, buddy!"
A shadow moved to her left.
Kagome jumped, snapping her gaze to it. Sweat pricked at the back of her neck.
"H-hello?"
Nothing.
Well, it had been out of her peripheral vision. What a convenient time for her mind to start playing tricks on her.
Taking a deep breath, Kagome let the air whoosh out of her lungs. "And now I'm seeing things," she rambled, grasping her hair and wringing out excess salty water. "That's not unusual though, heck I think I see things passing by in the kitchen all the time. Totally nor- AH!" Kagome started badly, looking directly at the shadows. A sleek, long thing swept out into bright sunlight across the floor before retreating smoothly. It had been pale, covered in a sheen that resembled scales.
Was that a… tail?
Kagome took one step back. Then another. Whatever it was, it had been quite large.
She didn't want any of that. None.
Pivoting sharply, Kagome hurried directly towards the pool. Climbing down a rocky incline, she bent her legs, muscles coiling and springing free as she leapt, body arching into a dive.
She made it into warm waters, kicking her legs madly. Gliding down from rippling surface to murky bottom of the pool, Kagome swam towards an opening in the rock wall. Something large and solid slid beneath her stomach then- closing around her waist and yanking.
Kagome's mouth opened in a gasp- pulled from the water with a hard tug. She coughed the second she surfaced, spitting out saltwater and holding onto the thing wrapped around her waist.
The tail.
Kagome's eyes widened, squirming and trying to get free as water dripped from her body, watching the pool drift further away as she ascended. The white scales felt smooth, warm beneath her touch.
Gritting her teeth, Kagome tried to dig her nails in, only to find them repelled by deceptively firm coils.
"You do not possess claws nor fangs sharp enough to cut through my hide, little human."
Kagome jolted, whipping her head up.
Half-lidded, piercing golden-yellow eyes stared back.
She gaped.
Slit pupils dilated.
The man observing her with a wry smile possessed beautifully ethereal features. Pointed ears, exotic magenta marks slashing across his pale cheeks. A silver fall of long hair spilt down over broad shoulders, hanging off the high rock he lounged upon that overlooked the pool. He'd propped both elbows on his bent tail, resting a strong chin upon one hand. The tips of his fingers resembled long, frighteningly sharp claws. Kagome blinked, trying to make sense of his form. His head and torso resembled a human male- physique impressive. From the waist down, however, an impossibly long snake tail sprawled out. She wasn't sure how vast it spread, a little preoccupied.
"Listen pal, I don't know what stage play I've stumbled across, but great effects. Top-notch. The puppet feels really lifelike," she minded some slick hair from her face. "The contacts are hot too, but I'd really like to be set down now."
"Would you?" he purred silkily, tail twisting to flip her upside down. Kagome gasped as black hair cascaded in front of her face, hanging towards the distant pool. "Unfortunately, this one has no interest in releasing you. It has been some time since prey has willingly stumbled into my den like a lost filly."
Kagome's mind raced. Prey. Shit.
"I-I didn't stumble in. The whirlpool-"
"Ah, yes," he hummed, rising from his perch languidly. His form moved smoothly, top half easing closer without fear of toppling from the rock his larger half wrapped around.
"Hn… few mortals are foolish enough to jump from that cliff at noon."
"I was pushed," Kagome seethed, bristling as he prodded and turned her like prized meat hanging off a hook. "Hey! Watch it!" She swiped an arm out, cheeks flushing. "Put me down this instant!"
The Snake-man tilted his head, "curious that of all people, my prey this time happens to be a woman from my homeland."
Kagome had been too startled to really think about it, but they were indeed conversing in Japanese.
"So you're a Japanese demon, huh?" she squeaked. "Awesome. We can talk more about that when the blood isn't rushing to my head. Put. Me. Down," a growl hissed free from her teeth.
His lips spread into a half-smirk, half sneer, exposing sharp, glistening fangs. He turned her upright once more, only to coil more segments of his strong, pale tail around her. A part of it twisted and slid around her knees, parting them.
Something twinged between her legs- a bead of sweat, hot and salty where it rolled down her thigh in a lazy trickle.
Kagome's eyes widened as the moving tail constricted beneath her chest, restricting the use of her arms and squeezing the air from her lungs like he'd trapped her within a huge fist.
His body loomed close, face hovering near. His touch felt oddly human upon her chin: grip as firm as any other arrogant male's.
"The harder you struggle, the tighter my grip," he uttered, gaze and voice almost gentle in their rich cadence.
Kagome fought to keep her breathing even, becoming still. He seemed intelligent and well spoken. If that was the case, talking her way out of the situation might be her best bet.
"For the record, I'm Kagome," she said, trying not to tremble. "W-what's your name, Mr Snake man?"
Ivory lashes fell shut and swept open in a slow blink. His lips parted, hesitating, as though out of practice with speaking it aloud.
"Sesshoumaru."
The Killing Perfection.
It sounded like a bad omen.
Kagome swallowed and kept blabbing. "Oh, that's cool. Your parents must've been anticipating a nice blood thirsty baby. I'm sure they're very proud."
His expression darkened, and Kagome quickly shut up. Clearly, that had been the wrong thing to say.
Sesshoumaru tipped his head to the side, breath fanning over her ear. "For the record," he uttered, archaic speech clearly unfamiliar with the term but imitating her, "my kind are not referred to as 'Snake Men.' I am a species of Naga."
"I-I see, sorry for using the wrong term," Kagome jolted as something flicked out close to her ear, nearly brushing the shell.
His tongue. Was he tasting the air?
Sesshoumaru made a low, pleasurable noise in his chest.
"You know… unless you're into playing with your food, maybe there's a reason you haven't eaten me yet," Kagome was ever the optimist.
"Pray tell: what would that reason be?" he asked, nose brushing and gliding into her hair. She felt his body roll as he inhaled deeply, having a ripple effect down his entire tail.
Kagome shivered. Oddly, the heat of him wrapped around her sent thrills racing up her spine due to every movement being intimately felt. The anticipation, fear and adrenaline mixed into a cocktail of absurdity. She felt its effects pour liquid heat into her lower abdomen.
"You want someone to talk to. Even people called 'The Killing Perfection' can get lonely. A-am I right in thinking you're the one who pulled me from the water?"
"Indeed."
Though she knew it wasn't out of any concern for her, Kagome nonetheless felt a stab of gratitude. "Thank you for that, I mean it. You're terrifying but much preferable to drowning."
Golden eyes danced. "Your compliments leave much to be desired."
Kagome's lips twitched. "Do you see what I mean, though? Maybe you just want a delightful conversationalist."
"Hn, perhaps," Sesshoumaru adjusted her, so that she loomed above him, his head dangerously close to her chest, "or perhaps I do just enjoy playing with my food."
Kagome jolted and gasped as a regal nose glided up the valley between her breasts, lips skimming, a teasing drag. She tried to squeeze her thighs together- prevented by a segment of his tail that rose and undulated slowly against her core, rubbing. Shamefully, Kagome moaned. Her wet dress, plastered to her form- pitifully could not hide the hard peaks of her nipples as her body heated.
"You respond quite enthusiastically to me, woman," Sesshoumaru purred, tongue flicking out to lick a long, wet arch up her chest, collarbone and neck. "Have you considered...you might enjoy my 'playing' with you?"
Panting, she quickly stopped her squirming hips. "L-let's talk about this," she swallowed, catching her breath. "We could make a game out of it. A real one."
Thankfully, his tail stopped.
"I am listening."
Okay, keep talking Kagome. She shifted, looking at the glittering slashes of magenta cutting over his tail like stripes. It was safer than getting distracted by his enchanting eyes.
"Is there a way out of here other than the pool?"
His silky voice caressed her hearing. "Yes."
"T-then let me run for 15 minutes. If I find the exit- you let me go. If you catch me, then fair enough, I'm yours to eat or... or whatever," Kagome muttered, cheeks heating. "But I can and will defend myself during the run."
Sesshoumaru's claw-tipped fingers grasped her chin, turning her face back to look at him.
His eyes were hypnotic in their richness of colour. Slit, inhuman pupils only drew her in instead of repelling. They smiled even as his lips remained still.
"Nothing would please me more," he purred, free hand gliding down her stomach, making it twitch. "You possess a silver tongue, girl. I have not met a prey that could hold a conversation before."
"Thanks, you're not so bad yourself- when you're not talking about eating me."
Chuckling with rich tones, the Naga loosened his tail, unwinding it so that she slid over his coils down to the walkway next to the pool.
Standing on her own two feet again, Kagome righted herself, glancing up at the looming Naga.
"Run along, little filly," he uttered languidly. His soft, masculine voice oddly put her at ease even as she prepared to run for her life. Perhaps this was how he lulled prey. Kagome chose not to examine why she'd responded so... favourably to him. It was the humidity. The adrenaline.
Kagome headed for a tunnel, realising half-way her mistake. It was pitch black inside, and she had no light.
Almost as immediately as she'd stepped inside- green flames flickered to life upon the walls. Torches lit her way, scattered further ahead.
Steeling herself, Kagome took a breath, bursting into a run.

Tumblr media
“It’s natural to have doubts Lou. I still don’t believe that Vlad made the right choice in me but...well the work keeps me going and there often isn’t time to wallow in how unworthy I am to be President of the Vampire Council, and to top it all off, Caleb fucking Vatore went and got me elected Mayor of Forgotten Hollow! I feel the pressure every day!”
Tumblr media
“Seriously?” Lou’s eyes widened, “You would never know, you’re the epitome of boss man energy!”
Tumblr media
“Well, I don’t feel that energy! Hallie grounds me but she also makes me feel like I can change the world. If it weren’t for her I’d...well I wouldn’t be able to function!”
“You’re lucky to have her, I’m so jealous of what you have with her it...there was someone...once!” So it was going to become that kind of conversation? “You remember me talking about Celene? You met her, she found Rory...”
“Yeah, I know Celene, I’m ashamed to say I knew she was leaving but there was so much going on with you and the pack that I didn’t think it was important!”
“Yeah well, she would have left regardless! We went on a date once, the night I got bit, she warned me not to go out there...to Greg’s? But I was trying to impress her and...well it changed my life forever! I had just turned eighteen, just becoming a man, trying to prove my dad wrong...but proving him right in the end!”
Tumblr media
“Celene got bit too that night, but she took the cure. I was dumb and full of shit, thinking I’d be okay...I should’ve listened to her on both occasions! But becoming a werewolf was the best thing that ever happened to me, I met Rory, I found a real family! Anyway, one night I got drunk at the Grimtooth Bar and Celene took me to the club house to sleep it off, one thing led to another and...well let’s just say we never really spoke again after that...she's a little older than me, and she was my first, I was probably not hers though!” Lou chuckled sadly.
Tumblr media
“When I met Hallie, she turned my head, I knew she was Grayson’s wife...sorry...I knew she was taken, by you or by Grayson, it doesn’t matter, she was off limits! When I brought her back here four months ago, Celene came out of her house and gave me an earful, calling Hallie a little temptress...a whole pile of shit came out of her mouth. I never thought she cared, then she told me to stay away from her and enjoy my little family...she thought your baby was...well, mine!”
“Yeah, she said as much when I took her home!” I nodded, Lou had just confirmed what I suspected, Jared was his son! He didn’t know, but I didn’t feel that it was my place to tell. Hopefully Lizette would track Celene down and Lou could finally meet him, maybe make a go of it with his son’s mother.
“I dunno, I just always thought that there would be time to fix...whatever we had! I think I felt more for Celene than she felt for me to be honest, our night in the club house meant more to me than it did her. I mean I was drunk, but I was aware of what we were doing and I wanted it, she wanted it, maybe I was just another notch...I guess I’ll never know!”
Tumblr media
“You’ll get your chance to find out, I’m sure of it! Look Lou, you’re going to make an amazing alpha! Rory was easy to work with, but because we’re friends we can make a great team! I have faith in you, Vlad does too...and so does Hallie!”
“Sh-she does?” Lou sat back in his chair and eyed me with surprise.
Tumblr media
“Of course she does, she’s your number one fan!”
“She is?”
“Lou, she loves you! Not like she loves me, don’t get any ideas...but she does! We both consider you as our family too and we’d love for you to be Aurora’s godfather!”
Tumblr media
“You would?” This kid really lacked confidence, did he not know what a great young man he truly was?
Tumblr media
“We would, now, do you think we can have a group discussion with the pack, try to get them to move forward with us? I know where to find Kat and Markus, and with their help we can get the justice Rory deserves!”
“We can try!” He replied with more confidence, hearing how much Hallie thought of him had done the trick, I hoped he knew that he could do this, that he had support from everyone who cared about him. We needed to stay focused, and I had to tell his pack that I could track down Rory’s killers, news that would hopefully go down well with most, if not all of them!
