so
one of the hilarious things about skipping around so much, is that netflix often just starts up wherever you left off on any given episode
which ends up unintentionally funny as fuck to me because of how often it becomes obvious which scene I was watching when I decided I was done for the night
because when I do this I often will just rewatch my fave bits of specific episodes
HAHH anyway:
Tumblr media
yeah I know exactly what I giggling over and rewatching a dozen times in a row the last time I watched that episode ahaha
also I know I've pointed this out before but it's always a bit surreal to spend so much time reading fics where they're happy and/or fucking constantly and then go back to watching parts of the show where they're fighting
I end up feeling like this post a lot:
Tumblr media
which is like, five seconds after the screenshot up there actually
also cackling at myself bc somehow the first screenshots on these posts are nearly always Catra because of course they are
ANYWAY actually I was going to watch the sea-gate episode in part bc I don't think I have since my all-the-way-through rewatch last winter?
SIDE NOTE I HAVE A CONFESSION TO MAKE I have never liked the intro/theme song, I skip it every single time except to look for all the stuff they changed repeatedly in s5
but I do like the actual like five-second thing at the start of every episode with the sparkly effect on the Netflix logo and the First Ones illustration that turns into She-Ra
Tumblr media
the little sword noise! the rainbows! it's very cool and also Pavlovian at this point probably pfft
Tumblr media Tumblr media
YEAH WE'RE WATCHING SOME GAY SHIT WOO LET'S GO
Tumblr media
"retired" lol they really had to scramble to figure out why all the other kids/teenagers were rulers of their lands and I think it works better when they don't even mention what happened to their parents
also Bow looks like he's gonna pass out asleep
Tumblr media
is the creature doing a sexy dance or
Tumblr media
adora it's rude to stare
Tumblr media
LOL at Glimmer's face
Tumblr media Tumblr media
there she is <3 she's so cute aaahhh
oh right this is when we meet Scorpia nice
Tumblr media
lolol
Tumblr media
Mal every time I pick him up
okay i gotta take less screenshots
Tumblr media
bb
Tumblr media
eehhehhheheh she realizes Adora's there (I mean she was sent to find her but still)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
pfft
Tumblr media
LOLOL sorry but they look so silly
oh god the whole conversation is just Catra taunting her like "oooh look I made force captain" and Adora's like "meh" and Catra looks so pouty
Tumblr media
"C'mon Adora, hasn't this gone on long enough?" like she was JUST threatening her and now she's like...okay she's clearly still TRYING to go for taunting but the tone in her voice is literally just like 'plz come home' and she even looks sad
Tumblr media
and yes I know she's ...mostly just trying to manipulate Adora. doesn't mean she doesn't also mean some of it.
bc yeah Adora's eyes lose that glowing thing and she finally looks at Catra ;_;
Tumblr media
Anyway that's when Adora's like "no? I'm not going back" and Catra gets pissed and attacks her and scratches her face (not that badly, compared to later fights, honestly; is she pulling her punches??)
Tumblr media
EHEHEHEHEHEHEHEH
Tumblr media
BAHAHAH that's the moment I've been waiting for this whole episode
(not "left the Horde," "left me," I'm fine I'm fine sorry)
(no wait i'm not done--she'd been trying to fix the Sea Gate earlier and not having any luck, the team on the Horde ship damages it far worse, and then after she fights with Catra, Adora's able to fix it in like five seconds. I'M FINE.)
Tumblr media
this is still funny
but also she's openly staring at Adora and friends, then it cuts to this:
Tumblr media
yeah thats....gotta sting. tbh.
and then back to Catra
Tumblr media
Mermista joins the Princess Alliance, Sea Hawk and Bow sing a shanty, end of episode
anyway should I change my discord pfp to this
Tumblr media
look at her. literally a wet cat with sad ears looking at the love of her life being happy with other people after they defeated her. poor thing.
Can’t wait to engage in one of my fave midnight hobbies: get high as balls and rewatch bits of She-Ra and sometimes post screenshots with overemotional/horny captions

The war with the Horde is over... but Catra’s caught in whispers from voices she’s never heard before...
She’s scared.
She’s very very scared and Catra has never dealt well with fear. It turns her angry and snappish and she’s never known how to admit to fear.
So she keeps as far away from everybody who might notice as possible.
Which would be easy if one of those people wasn’t Adora who especially can’t know.
She’d try to fix it, try and puzzle it out and Catra’s got enough in her head without Adora trying to get in there as well... albeit with good intentions.
She always has good intentions.
The problem with avoiding Adora is she knows Catra better than anybody, knows her habits, and is infuriatingly persistent.
Stubborn might be a better word.
So she finds her, as she always has and probably always will and Catra just wants to sleep.
That was her first mistake, dropping her guard for a quick nap in the boughs of a large tree that somehow Adora has managed to climb without waking her.
Etheria damn it.
She opens her eyes, ears already twitching in irritation, tail flicking back and forth below her like a rusted pendulum.
“What do you want, Adora?” She drawls as casually as possible. She shifts to a slightly more comfortable laying spot and doesn’t bother looking over at Adora. She can practically feel her twiddling her thumbs, all full of nervous energy.
“I erm... well... all of us really... are worried about you...”
Catra stifles a groan.
Here she goes.
Adora continues, “You’ve gotten distant and Glimmer’s a bit offended that you don’t even take the time to pelt her with twigs every time she leaves the castle like you used to.”
Okay, that was admittedly quite fun and one of Catra’s favourite past times but she also discovered recently that she’s a bit... fond of the glittery princess and she doesn’t want to risk taking their snarky back and forth too far and actually upsetting her.
Glimmer is fragile where it matters most.
“I’ve just been thinking, Adora. That’s it, alright?” Catra says, sending her a glance only to be greeted by that annoyingly stubborn and concerned face.
Eugh she hates that look. It makes her feel both gooey and frustrated.
“Do you even come back to the castle lately? I feel like I haven’t seen you there in weeks...” She asks and Catra shrugs lazily.
“Kinda too pastel for me.”
“That wasn’t a problem before,” Adora points out and Catra grunts.
Yeah, she isn’t a fan of the pastel but it is... soft and calming. It also seems to exacerbate her current... issues.
“Well maybe I just needed some space from it all. You consider that, Princess?”
Oh shit, there’s the bite she was trying to avoid.
She can picture Adora’s hurt face. She avoids looking because she doesn’t want to confirm that she put it there.
“... I thought we were getting better...”
And it comes out painfully soft and vulnerable in a way they only could be in stolen moments back at the Horde and Catra can never decide if she hates it or loves it.
She sighs, agitated and sits up.
“We are. I just... have some things to sort through, that’s all,” She says with a vague wave of hand. She focuses her gaze on the pond ten feet away and watches a duckling stumble into the water behind it’s mother. She likes watching the ducks. Nothing like those in the Fright Zone.
“You know you can talk to me about it if you want?” Adora offers gently and Catra’s jaw clenches.
Not this. Not when I don’t even know what’s wrong.
“It’s fine. I just need some time.”
Silence drags on between them in which Catra silently battles against the mess in her head. Fruitlessly, if the rising volume is anything to go by.
She rubs her neck thoughtlessly.
“You’re scared.”
Her hand drops away and she snorts, shrugging out any tension and swinging her legs.
“Don’t be ridiculous, nothing scares me,” She replies.
That’s a lie and they both know it but the bravado is a comfortable fall-back.
“Your pupils narrow when you’re scared... and you rub your neck... and your fur fluffs up,” Adora lists quietly and Catra is really hating how well Adora knows her.
“Look, Adora, I’m fine. You can’t always wave your magic sword and fix everything. Some problems are a bit more complicated than that,” Catra returns and she manages to keep her tone mostly on the side of exasperated and not tetchy.
“... I could try,” Adora mutters, adorably petulant and Catra looks over at her pout and has to snigger at her.
“Yeah you could and you totally would ‘cuz you’re dumb like that,” She teases before shoving her lightly. She doesn’t actually want to push her out the tree after all.
Adora shoves her back.
“You’re dumber for not telling me what’s wrong,” She says and Catra rolls her eyes.
“Look, Adora, it’s just me, okay? None of you did anything, I’m just figuring something out and I need to do it by myself...”
“Is that a Horde thing or a Catra thing?” Adora questions, looking mildly peeved and a part of Catra kind of finds it delightful.
“Both,” She chimes honestly before poking her friend right between the eyes. “And seriously can you get Bow to stop firing ‘emotional support messages’ through my bedroom window? I know I haven’t been there much recently but my wall looks a lot like a pincushion.”
Adora can’t help but laugh.
“He misses you!” She says in her friend’s defence and Catra rolls her eyes.
“I’m not dead for Etheria’s sake,” She grouches, vehemently ignoring the tingle of warmth in her chest as Adora laughs again.

Demons Plot Synopsis: Arc 1
Some chapters are more plot heavy and/or emotionally intricate than others and have much longer summaries, as I’ve tried to include the most relevant information to follow the plot and character/relationship growth.
Notable flashbacks are summarized in italics after the main chapter plot, including the character’s approximate age at the time. (The Horde doesn’t do birthdays, so they all change “age” at the same time regardless of actual birth date, but it’s not like Adora or Catra know their real birth dates anyway.)
Spoilers for Demons ahead!
Arc 1: chapters 1-6 (How Catra ends up locked up in Bright Moon)
Chapter 1: Unmasked (a.k.a. My mostly accurate prediction of Catra/SW’s season 2 dynamic)
Catra is woken by nightmares the morning after the Battle of Bright Moon and decides to visit their source: Shadow Weaver. She goes to the prison seeking validation and answers about why she was treated the way she was, but Shadow Weaver simply antagonizes her. She mocks Catra’s need for validation and her attachment to Adora, predicts she will fail quickly as second-in-command, and tells her she’s weak. Catra decides to show some strength by repaying some of her childhood abuse in the form of a beating.
Chapter 2: Shreds (a.k.a. Scorpia is best bug)
When the revenge beating fails to make Catra feel any better, she goes to the gym to release some energy and emotion. Scorpia finds Catra on the verge of a breakdown and suggests they move to the boxing ring, but unfortunately her attempts at camaraderie accidentally trigger some trauma responses. She tries to assure Catra that she would never hurt her like Adora did, but this only makes Catra feel worse as she realizes she’s using Scorpia and Entrapta and that she’s not the good person Adora thinks she is.
[6 y/o] Shadow Weaver draws out the prelude to a beating, blaming Catra for bringing this upon herself but assuring her too sweetly that it’s for her own good.
[4 y/o] A terrified Catra apologizes desperately to Shadow Weaver as she drags her to the prison by her ear, promising to be good. Shadow Weaver asks if she wants to be punished for lying as well, says there’s not a shred of goodness in her.
Chapter 3: (Not) My Fault (a.k.a. Adora, honey, please stop)
Meanwhile, Adora is in a great deal of pain after the scratches Catra gave her in the battle become badly infected. When Glimmer and Bow’s arguments that she needs to rest fail to convince her, Glimmer enlists the help of Queen Angella, who orders Adora back to her room. This causes a fight between Adora and Glimmer that turns nasty when Glimmer refers to Catra as an animal and Adora rebukes her language, which to Glimmer feels like Adora defending the person who attacked her home. Adora blames herself for the attack because Shadow Weaver always made her feel like Catra’s actions were her fault, and Glimmer and Bow try to convince her otherwise and urge her to prioritize herself for a change.
[15 y/o] Adora approaches Shadow Weaver about Catra’s strange, withdrawn behavior after she was sent away to train with senior cadets for several days and came back covered in bruises. Shadow Weaver says Catra deserves what she got and chides Adora for allowing Catra to become a distraction. Adora tries to get answers out of Catra, but Catra continues to hold her at a distance. Adora concludes that this is her fault because she kissed Catra in secret earlier that week and Catra must not be interested in her.
Chapter 4: Discipline (a.k.a. Ding dong, the witch is dead)
Back in the Fright Zone, Hordak attempts to bond with Catra and urges her to use her resentment to drive herself but to be disciplined in how she expresses it. Hordak sentences Shadow Weaver to death and sends Catra to the prison to collect her, prompting one final showdown between the two.
Shadow Weaver tells Catra this won’t make her feel any better and Catra assures her it isn’t about revenge, and if it was she’d be getting tortured. Shadow Weaver laughs at that assertion and tells Catra she only did what she needed to to teach her how to behave, and that Catra as second-in-command will soon have to do the same. Catra swears she will never be like her, but Shadow Weaver manages to make her snap and scratch her across the face. Catra storms out, faced with a new realization that Shadow Weaver manipulated her into pushing Adora away so Adora would believe Catra was disgusted by the kiss.
In the throne room, the Force Captains attend the execution and Hordak is disappointed by the fresh scratches on Shadow Weaver’s face. Catra is conflicted, torn between sympathy for Shadow Weaver and a thirst for revenge, but in the end Shadow Weaver’s death gives her no satisfaction, just as predicted.
[15 y/o] After finding out about the kiss, Shadow Weaver assaults Catra and threatens to send her away if she allows any more advances from Adora. It turns out Catra wasn’t training with senior cadets, as Adora was told, but locked up in the prison.
Chapter 5: Dislikeable (a.k.a. Superpal Trio fluff for the soul)
Days later, Catra continues to suffer from nightmares and seeks solace in the Superpal Trio. A careless remark by Scorpia and lack of tact from Entrapta cause her to lash out, but she apologizes to keep them on her side and appease her own guilt. They attempt to comfort Catra, which she pretends not to like, but end up overwhelming her with too much touch.
Scorpia interrogates Catra in private until she admits she’s restless because she knows now that there was a huge misunderstanding between her and Adora and thinks maybe if Adora had known how she’d felt she wouldn’t have left. Scorpia suggests Catra go to Bright Moon to tell Adora, clear the air and throw her off her game at the same time. Catra says that’s a dumb idea and teases Scorpia for her budding affections for Entrapta.
[9 y/o] Shadow Weaver grudgingly patches Catra up after a fight and berates her for causing trouble even though she didn’t start it. Shadow Weaver tells Catra she brings this upon herself by being so dislikeable and that even Adora doesn’t want to be friends with her, she just feels sorry for her.
Chapter 6: Vulnerability (a.k.a. Shit hits the fan)
Catra returns to Bright Moon the next night, a mere week after the battle. She attempts to sneak into the castle but is apprehended by Glimmer, who takes her to Adora because she thinks Adora needs closure. Adora convinces a reluctant Glimmer to leave her and Catra alone so they can talk. Catra reveals that Shadow Weaver is dead and Entrapta is alive, shocking Adora and sparking a fight about Adora’s betrayal in Thaymor and her failure to protect innocent people in the past, Catra in particular.
Catra is angered when Adora seems saddened by Shadow Weaver’s death, claiming Adora has no idea what Shadow Weaver did to her, and Adora agrees but says that’s Catra’s fault for never telling her. So Catra tells Adora what Shadow Weaver did to her after she kissed her and also admits she would have kissed Adora back if she could have. Adora is surprised Catra wanted her and Catra tells her what Shadow Weaver said before her death, that that was by design.
Adora tries to rightfully deflect blame for what happened to Catra back to Shadow Weaver, which pisses Catra off. She also reveals that she knew things were unfair but she felt powerless to stop it other than by overcompensating and sucking up to Shadow Weaver. Catra explains that that made her feel like Adora thought she deserved the abuse, which horrifies Adora. Catra accuses Adora of giving up on her after she defected and Adora realizes she might be right.
Catra realizes she’s reduced Adora to a puddle of guilt but doesn’t actually like it, so she attempts to comfort her. They share a mournful, desperate kiss that spirals out of control. They both lose their shirts, Catra quietly apologizing for the wounds on Adora’s back. To accommodate said wounds, Adora puts Catra on her back and starts lavishing her with kisses, but allowing such intimate touch from and ceding control to this person who hurt her sends Catra into a panic attack and she has to stop.
Glimmer teleports into the room just as they share another tender kiss, blinding them with a sparkle bomb so guards can rush in and arrest Catra. Glimmer defends her decision to Adora, saying she has to protect her kingdom. Adora tells Glimmer she’s selfish and a bad friend and threatens to never forgive her if any more harm comes to Catra. Glimmer says Catra probably deserved her past torture and Adora punches her in the face. Glimmer teleports away and Adora breaks down, realizing she’s hurt and alienated both her best friends.

A Meta on Catra’s Relationships with DT, Scorpia, and Adora
I’m so excited to write this finally ljsdflkj okay so. I’ve been thinking about why the creators would choose to center a whole season around this new character Double Trouble. They drove the plot and played a major role in a really important part of the story, Catra’s redemption. So I wanna think more about the purpose of this character and go deeper into a couple of their scenes with Catra.
tbh Catra and DT’s very first interaction says it all: DT literally takes the form of Scorpia and tells Catra “I’m about to become your new best friend.” As the season goes on, Double Trouble replaces Scorpia as a sort of artificial confidant for Catra. But it blows up in her face and the purpose of the whole thing is to shed light on Catra’s main internal conflict: her desire for love vs. her fear of heartbreak/vulnerability.
In other words, I believe Double Trouble was introduced as a foil to Scorpia. But if we think about how Scorpia is also a foil to Adora, then that means DT is like... a foil to a foil. So they’re not directly associated with Adora but a lot of what they do relates back to her. Yeah there are a lot of layers here lmao but basically what I’m gonna analyze is how Catra’s relationships with these three characters intertwine and build off each other in season 4 to set the stage for Catra’s redemption (and catradora endgame hollaaa)
So in the beginning, Catra and DT both understand their relationship to be a business arrangement. When does that start to change for Catra, and why?
Catra’s History With Betrayal
Just think about Catra’s relationships at the start of s4.. After the portal, Adora had basically severed whatever was left of their relationship, and that was shown to be weighing on Catra all season. Scorpia and Entrapta were the only other people she cared about, but Entrapta betrayed her (first by monopolizing Hordak’s attention then by refusing to open the portal), then Scorpia dared to question her decision to send their friend to die and her presence became a constant reminder of Catra’s guilt. In fact, the mere mention of Entrapta’s name in 4x03 causes Catra to snap and yell at Scorpia “we are not friends!” ... which of course isn’t true. Catra may think Scorpia’s annoying but she confided in her, her loyalty made Catra feel like she could trust her.. and that’s exactly why Catra always tried so hard to push her away. All the betrayals in her life scarred her so deeply that she wanted to avoid emotional intimacy at all costs. I’m about to get Jungian up in this shit bc we see a deep disconnect between Catra’s outward actions (her conscious) and her inner desires (subconscious) this season and it’s this i believe that leads to her breakdown in 4x10. It’s an unsustainable way to live.
Why Catra Trusted Double Trouble
So by 4x04, Catra had sabotaged her only two relationships. She was utterly alone, and vulnerable, and Double Trouble was in the right place at the right time offering their loyalty to her.. so Catra did what any emotionally stable person would do and subconsciously used a hired mercenary to try and fill the growing void in her heart. I don’t think Catra actually cared about DT much at all, like sure they got along and that matters on some level, but I think it’s more that Catra was in a vulnerable place and DT was the only one around.
So why does Catra trust Double Trouble when she won’t let herself trust anyone else? I’ve seen some posts saying it’s because Catra is self-destructive--i.e. she only seeks love from people who won’t give it to her because she doesn’t believe she deserves love--which is super true.. but I think her motivations can be better explained by saying that Catra knew from the start that Double Trouble didn’t really care about her, and that’s why the partnership was attractive to her (at first). She thought it would be safe--no vulnerability, no risk of heartbreak. But the truth is Catra’s just not as disaffected as she wishes she was.
The moment Catra really let her guard down was when Double Trouble saved her from the collapsing building in 4x04.
Tumblr media
can we just!! talk about this scene!!!! the way her voice shakes when she says “saving me” just, oh my god... like what a touchy subject for her, right? Shes spent her whole life resenting how Adora was always trying to “save” her from everything. I’m not sure but I think White Out (2x05) was the only other time Catra thanked someone for saving her life, and she just says “thanks for getting us out of there.” So her use of the word “save” here is special and it illustrates how deeply vulnerable Catra feels this season, and more importantly it’s a sign of character development! It’s no coincidence that the theme of saving is connected between DT, Scorpia, and Adora. It’s leading up to Catra learning to replace her resentment towards Adora with something closer to gratitude.
But while the scene connects these relationships, it also highlights their differences. After Catra displays an astounding amount of vulnerability with DT, they coolly reply “well, I live to serve... for a price, of course.”
Tumblr media
This right here is the first step of Catra’s breakdown. Suppressed desires making themselves known, one half of her heart rebelling against the other. She was pushing away her real friends and finding hollow companionship with someone she thought she wouldn’t get attached to, but it happened anyway.
The difference between Double Trouble and Scorpia must have become glaringly obvious to Catra in that moment. Whereas Scorpia was loyal to Catra out of love, DT was mostly interested in getting paid. And she was surprised by how much that hurt. She fucking hated how much it hurt, you can see it written all over her face. It’s why she fails Scorpia’s little test in 4x06. Because of Double Trouble, Catra’s true desires were threatening to break free, so outwardly she fights against it and acts more resistant than ever to being friends with Scorpia. She castigates her, calls her annoying and incompetent, harsher than we’ve ever seen... but she didn’t expect Scorpia to hit back (we did, tho. Scorpia’s an icon).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In four words Scorpia teaches Catra a hard lesson about what it means to earn someone’s loyalty. She knew she must’ve really fucked up if she somehow managed to push away the most loyal person in all of Etheria. And again the fake nature of Catra’s relationship with Double Trouble provides a reference for her to see why Scorpia’s loyalty, based in love, was so valuable, and why she shouldn’t have taken it for granted. It also relates to Adora because, similar to Scorpia, Adora had been trying so hard these past 3 seasons to connect with Catra, but she refused to forgive her and her behavior eventually forced Adora to cut ties. So Scorpia calling her out pushes Catra towards accepting some personal responsibility for everything that happened with Adora, too. Man there are just.. a ton of implications here.
Then Catra gives Hordak a fun pep talk but really it’s just her self-projecting all over him:
Tumblr media
At this point her hateful actions and her goal to conquer Etheria are extremely out of line with her true desires and we can see it’s really affecting her mental state. It wasn’t just one thing or person that caused her breakdown, it was a combination of Adora severing their relationship, and Scorpia’s disappointment in her, and Double Trouble’s indifference towards her. All three of these situations were playing off each other and chipping away at Catra’s carefully crafted armor, revealing a desire to be loved hidden underneath... which she continued to fight against for as long as she could. Adora and Scorpia were playing their roles in helping Catra learn to take responsibility for her life, but those relationships wouldn’t have been so effective had it not been for how they were contrasted with Double Trouble’s indifference. Anyway have I mentioned how amazing and complex this show is????
Catra Loses DT and Scorpia Around the Same Time
4x07 is the last time Catra talks to Double Trouble before they get captured by the rebels. Coincidentally, Catra realizes that Scorpia left her just one episode later, which once again points to a connection between these two characters. From 4x08 to 4x11 Catra is completely alone, feeling like she has lost everyone in her life. It sets the stage for her meltdown in 4x10. But my fave part about Scorpia leaving is how it changes the way Catra thinks about betrayal.
Even if Scorpia didn’t tell Catra where she was going in the note she left, Catra had to have assumed she was leaving to join the Rebellion because where else would she have gone right? So the two people Catra loves most have now BOTH abandoned her to join the rebellion. I don’t even wanna think about how triggering that betrayal must have been for Catra.. I don’t wanna think about how the next time Catra sees Scorpia she’s going to be a full blown princess with powers and everything, just like what happened with Adora.
Tumblr media
But there’s a key difference between Adora and Scorpia. Catra knows at this point that Adora didn’t want to leave her behind, but she did anyway to pursue some destiny that Catra wasn’t a part of, which left her feeling betrayed. Scorpia, on the other hand--the very definition of ‘loyalty’--left her specifically because Catra pushed her away. Her fear of vulnerability manifested as anger towards someone she refused to admit that she cared about, and it pushed her away.
Once again I think Scorpia is teaching Catra a lesson about taking responsibility for some of the shit in her life. It’s a privilege that Adora lost after being careless with Catra’s trust, and thus Scorpia was the only one in a position to reach Catra and help her. But I think that the things Catra learned from Scorpia are going to play back into her relationship with Adora and allow them to reconcile (when Adora deals with her own issues too).
We can also say a little about how Double Trouble’s betrayal contrasts with Scorpia’s and Adora’s. I think their complete emotional detachment is the perfect frame of reference for Catra to be able to acknowledge that even though Scorpia and Adora left her, they DID love her, and they never stopped trying to reach out to her--at least, not until Catra crossed a line with both of them. At some point, Catra went from being justified in her feelings of betrayal to overdoing it, placing too much blame where it didn’t belong and closing the door to forgiveness. So I think that’s the role that Double Trouble played there, helping Catra see that difference. Like even if someone leaves you, hurts you, it doesn’t always mean they don’t love you. Relationships take work and understanding and forgiveness and you have to learn how to handle that or you’ll always be alone. Scorpia’s the pure embodiment of that lesson, and she’s lighting the way for Catra to navigate the much more nebulous waters of her grudge against Adora.
Double Trouble’s Betrayal
So now Catra is feeling abandoned by Scorpia and Double Trouble (her only friends) and we see the disconnect between what’s in her heart and the front she’s been putting on come to a head in 4x10 when she has that meltdown. She’s kind of losing it because her fear and heartbreak are driving her down a path that she doesn’t actually want. It’s like watching a car crash in slow motion. In 4x12 she continues to hold on desperately to the idea that beating Adora will make her happy, because at this point she doesn’t see any way to turn the car around.
There’s an absolutely fantastic scene early in 4x12 that sets up Double Trouble’s betrayal beautifully, like really it’s a masterpiece. Catra’s childhood friends walk in on her in the locker room and they’re laughing and joking around and for a second it’s like... Catra longs to be a part of that again.. To have friends, to be happy. But then Kyle accidentally kicks one of Scorpia’s old doodles (a painful reminder that she’s gone) and Catra freaks out and attacks them. Kyle’s like “we used to be friends, why are you treating us like this?” So she lets them leave, feeling alone and miserable, and THAT’S when Double Trouble waltzes in... having had just made a deal with Glimmer to double cross Catra.
God it hurts so much. The contrast between her pushing away Scorpia and her real friends, and then her childlike relief upon seeing the person who just sold her out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This scene gives me fucking chills with the nightmare-ish music and everything.. It’s like, at this point DT is just fucking with her, they’ve already got Catra figured out. This face touch is so cruel and fits with the show’s motif of manipulative affection, too. For me it felt very disconcerting to see Catra like this... unaware that she’s been defeated yet she’s so emotionally vulnerable here, she’s like putty in Double Trouble’s hands. Scorpia leaving cracked her open and, as they’re the last person left standing with Catra’s trust, Double Trouble’s in the perfect position to come in and break her.
So the next episode 4x13 has that crazy scene where Double Trouble totally obliterates Catra and I’m not even gonna talk about it lmao because yall have already done a great job analyzing it. But I do wanna draw attention to the fact that this is the only thing she says in this whole scene:
Tumblr media
Can you believe that’s what mattered the most to her in that moment? Not that literally everything she had been working for for the past 4 seasons had just turned to dust before her eyes, but the fact that this random mercenary she hired betrayed her. And there was no anger at all, just... heartbreak.
And then look at what she says to Glimmer afterwards (setting aside the fact that Catra is basically giving up on life...) she says nothing about the war, nothing about winning or revenge. The only thing she’s thinking about is how lonely she feels.
Tumblr media
So by the end of Season 4, I think Catra did finally figure out what she truly wanted in life. She didn’t want to be on top just for power’s sake, she wanted people to respect her, to love her, so that no one could hurt her anymore. But she was so obsessed with winning that she ended up losing everyone’s respect. Wow haha if only she could get a second chance to earn it back the right way.... like say if, idk, she was trapped in space jail and forced to team up with her sworn enemy to survive and they came out best friends or something <:)
To sum up, Double Trouble’s role in Season 4 was to break Catra’s mask and force her to consider what she truly wants. I think their betrayal taught Catra to really appreciate what a terrible mistake she made in pushing Scorpia and Adora away. It taught her the difference between someone leaving her because they don’t care about her, and someone cutting ties with her even though they do care for her very deeply, they just couldn’t take Catra treating them like crap anymore. It showed her that what Adora did was nothing like what DT did. That’s what a betrayal feels like when the person doesn’t care about you. Someone who doesn’t care about you isn’t going to beg for your forgiveness for 3 seasons and risk being obliterated from existence just to get you back.
But the real beauty of season 4 was how Catra hitting rock bottom had almost nothing to do with Adora. With the help of other friends Catra has begun to find her own reasons to change, she’s acknowledging her guilt and heartbreak and discovering the person she wants to become. She’s learning to take responsibility instead of just blaming other people. And this character development had nothing to do with romance, just like how Adora breaking free of her destiny and learning to let go of control had little to do with Catra. I love the different perspectives on love that they give us with Catra, Adora, and Scorpia. I love how this show takes the “love conquers all” trope and subverts it, saying that sometimes.. love breaks you. Sometimes it’s not enough. Sometimes it’s used as a weapon. Sometimes you have to let go of people you love, but it opens up space for you to figure out who you are and what you want and to conquer your own demons. You’ll come out the other side with a better understanding of what real, healthy love is supposed to look like. And maybe in the end, the love you always sought will find you again, in its own time, in its own way. 💘

Some Improbable Season 5 Headcanons
Fair warning: These things aren’t going to happen. But while I’m obsessing, I sometimes imagine possible scenarios that would be interesting to watch play out. Perhaps a more industrious person would write these into fanfiction however, I am not that person. And so you get a half-assed  Tumblr post about my imaginings. Please enjoy:
1. What happened to the sword? I don’t remember, I just know that it broke and now Adora is unable to become She-Ra (Until she inevitably learns how to do so without the sword as Madame Razz was clearly insinuating was possible to Mara) But I like to imagine that she lef the pieces of the broken sword where they lay. I also like to imagine  a scenario in which Hoard Prime has his clone minions doing recon on the new planet and they find the pieces of the sword. Later, they bring them back to the ship.
Skip to a scene where Catra and Glimmer are present, perhaps being questioned about someone his troops have heard about called She-Ra, a defender of this planet. He wonders aloud if this She-Ra will be someone he will have to contend with, only to have one of his troops present the broken pieces of the sword. “I don’t think you’ll have to worry about anything like that, Sir. I have it on good authority that there is no more She-Ra” (Or something like that Idk how they talk) He smiles, meanwhile Catra and Glimmer poorly try to conceal their reactions. They have both been operating under the assumption (hope) that since the planet survived, that Adora did too. Not knowing that Adora shattered the sword herself, tey are now faced with the horrifying realization that perhaps Adora didn’t make it out of this and that for both of them, their last interaction was horrible.
I like the miguided assumption that Adora has died, mostly because I want to torture the two of them a little for being butts, but also because often people don’t appreciate what they have until they lose it. Even having “lost” Adora like Catra did, she still saw her regularly. They still interacted, even if those interactions were fighting or exchanging snarky banter. Even if someone hates you (Which Adora clearly doesn’t, Catra, you’re just being self destructive)  that hatred is still a form of ackowledgement- It’s not the same as losing someone entirely. I want to see the two of them (But mostly Catra because she’s my favorite little disaster) forced to face with the reality of Adora’s “death” Especially since in Catra’s case it’s sort of like getting what you asked for and realizing that it wasn’t what you wanted at all.
I want Glimmer specifically to witness Catra’s reaction to this news as a way of gaining a deeper understanding of the relationship between the two of them. I feel like Glimmer has never viewed Catra as very nuanced, instead just grouping her into a box, labeling it “villain” and calling it a day. Realistically she’s never had any reason to consider any of the layers of Catra’s character but I kind of find it odd considering that Adora used to be best friends with Catra. Has Glimmer really never wondered why? Never thought that somewhere under all the snark and barbs there must be a reason why Adora loved her  was her friend in the first place?
Lastly, I’m a sucker for a dramatic entrance, and if they think that Adora is dead, they’d never expect her to show up, which leads to self indulgent imaging number two...
2. Sneaky spy Adora. I feel like I am perhaps giving Adora and Bow too much credit here because espionage has never really been their strong suit, but imagine for me if you will a scenario in which they decide to be subtle. The two of them sneak onto Hoard Prime’s ship and do some spy work, trying to decide on the best course of action to take him out and get Glimmer home. This would be a great opportunity to give Adora a much needed costume change and while realistically I know that the whole vibrant 80′s theme isn’t going to allow it, I would love to see her in black. Also something backless, but that comes into play later in part three. This all ties together. I’ve had a lot of time to plan this.
So they sneak in and while like, peering out from an air vent or something (Idk the make up of the ship ) she is shocked to see that Catra is there too and that while she and Glimmer still snap at eachother and exchange dirty looks and stuff, they are reluctantly working together. I imagine their situation is sort of like, they come out and do various activities on the ship, whatever Hoard Prime deems them useful for, but they are locked in a cell overnight. Adora observes both situations while trying to get the layout of the ship and formulate a game plan.
I’m not going to say that Bow having actual real live pointy arrows made for long distance stabbing would be an advantage instead of his like, novelty prank arrows buuuuuut..... I know that this is a kid’s show but there are other cartoons that allow characters to get stabbed and stuff like, it could happen. It won’t buuuut anyway....
While running around the ship (in a dramatic hooded cloak that covers her face because of course, what do you take me for) and like, sabotaging things and preparing to dismantle this whole operation, Adora runs into perhaps both Catra and Glimmer but at least Catra (Because sorry Glimmer, I do actually like you but like, I’m playing favorites hardcore here) Maybe she helps with something they’re trying to do and gets caught. They don’t realize it’s her but now this mysterious hooded figure is on their radar. And then when the actual attack happens Adora gets her big reveal and it’s super dramatic and they realize that not only is Adora alive, she was the one they met earlier and just. I’m trash for that kind of trope. Really I am. This then leads into the big battle which also leads into point number three...
3. This point is less concrete, but do you remember Adora’s backless number? Perhaps a black halter top of some kind paired with black pants? Yeah? This is why it’s important. When Adora and Bow finally make their move, Bow goes to rescuse the girls while Adora levels her attack on Hoard Prime. Catra and Glimmer are in their cell and hear alarms start going off. They startle, frustrated at being trapped and unable to know what’s happening outside.
Then Bow shows up in his own dramatic black hooded cloak (He’s very happy to shed it and let his middrift free once more. It’s felt very unnatural) they’re shocked to see him. But like, it works because Catra probably knew that someone would come for Glimmer but it makes since that it would be Bow since Adora is “dead.” Maybe in a previous conversation (During the time in which the two hesitantly began bonding, because you can’t tell me that’s not where this is going) Glimmer expressed doubt that anyone would come for her after she did such a terrible job being queen. Anyway with Bow here, he and Glimmer hug and they make their escape, the three of them, during which someone questions Bow on what’s happening and he just says that Hoard Prime is being distracted.
Why is the rescue mission just Bow and Adora? Idk. Didn’t think that far ahead. Just go with it. Maybe the other princesses are waiting for their cue to join in later. Maybe it’s because there isnt any water or plants in space and they’re kinda useless. Maybe Entrapta will join in (She has to actually, so she can reunite with Hordak and then he has his whole amnesia thing but like, that’s not part of this. That is a seperate post) Anyway the important thing is that they aren’t here at this point.
So, Catra and Glimmer are confused about who is distracting Hoard Prime and then, there we go. The dramatic entrance. They look and see Adora in her new outfit, mid-battle with Hoard Prime. And like. It’s a hard battle and she isn’t really making any progress on her own, but she’s fighting really hard and well. I feel like people often forget that Adora was top of her class back in the Hoard like, even if she isn’t She-Ra she’s got to be pretty bad ass and whether the show wants to explore this or not, I will.  I have a theory for this that I will expand on in just a bit.
So they go to join her only to realize that theres like an invisible barrier preventing them from joining. Maybe it’s a security measure made to protect him from attack that she used to trap her in there with him, while simultaneously keeping his minions out. Maybe it’s just because I want Catra and Glimmer to be forced to watch this battle for a bit while Bow tries to disable the force field but it’s mostly because I’m shipping trash and I want Catra to observe two things.
The first is that Adora looks really cool in this new outfit. Also Adora’s hair is down because I like it that way. She has a new sword, one that’s just a sword and not a She-Ra sword. This one is just for wrecking shit. The second is that Adora is way better at fighting than Catra expected and when Catra expresses this sentiment Glimmer just looks at her like she’s fucking dumb and says something along the line of “I kind of assumed you were the brains of the Hoard, but you’re dumber than I thought if you think that Adora was ever ACTUALLY trying to hurt you.” Followed by, “It’s a shame you didn’t return the sentiment.” And then you get this moment of Catra just watching Adora being really kick ass, coming to terms with the fact that Adora never fought ALL OUT against Catra the way she is against Hoard Prime, like, Adora never tried to murder Catra. And then the last part of Glimmer’s statement sinks in and then Catra notices the claw marks scarred down Adora’s shoulderblades. The ones that she put there, because even if Adora never really tried to hurt Catra, Catra sure as hell never held back on her. And then Catra feels like shit because while I absolutely love her to pieces, she’s been kind of horrible and I want her to suffer a little more before her redemption.
See why the backless top was necessary? Yep. Good.
Anyway, predictably Bow lowers the barrier and they join the fight. Maybe Adora takes a bad hit and then Catra catches her or soemthing. The two look at eachother, both realizing that it’s been too long since they fought on the same side, but also silently acknowledging how good it feels. This is meant to foreshadow Catra eventually joining the good side permanantly. They all fight Hoard Prime and maybe the other princesses join in, but since this isn’t the final episode  (Maybe like episode 4 or so?) they don’t defeat him. But they DO do some damage and excape back to Etheria.
5. This one fits in somewhere before the last point but idk where exactly. Honestly it’s not even important where this snippet goes but at some point Hoard Prime reads Catra’s mind. I don’t know if cannonically he can only read his clone’s minds, but clearly I’m not writing for the show okay, this is my pointless headcanon. I don’t even know the context but Glimmer is there too and Hoard Prime, maybe having grown suspicious of Catra’s loyalty, reads her mind and just drags her. He kind of taunts her for beign sad that her “mother never loved you” to which she snaps like “Shadow Weaver is NOT my mother.” And he just tuts and is like “But it feels like she is.”  And then they get to Adora  and Catra says something about hating her and he calls her out on it like, “Hm no, that’s not quite right is it? No, you love her quite a bit” And then he does that villain thing where they’re kind of talking to themself while filing through your thoughts and it’s like “She would be like your sister after all but oh, whats this? Oh, so not like a sister after all.” And he like, puts her on blast for being in love with Adora. And she denies it and he replies with “A shame you don’t actually mean half the things you say.”
Meanwhile Glimmer is there witnissing it because I don’t know if you can tell yet but like, I really want her to have a better understanding of Catra. I want Catra to understand Glimmer too, but I feel like that’s possible without physically dragging the truth from her like.... she’s not in a great place mentally but no one is worse than Catra, lets be real.
That’s absolutely the most self indulgent part of this entire mile-long post and I don’t even know what you’re doing still reading this. But if you were wondering what I imagine going down, it’s this.
All my imaginings end in Catradora, because I am shipping trash.
So like, if anyone wants to write this out just tag me so I can see it, because I’d love to read it. But if not? Totally understandable. I’m more suprised you read it all because it is 100% a  self-indulgent conglomoration of all my favorite tropes, shoved together whether they make sense or not.

So...I thought of two different scenarios in which Glimmer finds out Catra has a thing for Adora...wanna see? (post-season 4)
1)
Glimmer: Why can't you just hold still!? I need to do this Catra! Catra: You said it will hurt if something goes wrong and I don't trust your sparkles, Sparkles. Glimmer: Come on! Don't tell me you are afraid. Catra: ... Catra looks down. She didn't want to feel anymore pain. Glimmer realized that Catra wasn't behaving like she always does. Maybe Catra was showing a part of herself Glimmer didn't knew. Maybe she didn't need magic to figure out what Catra really wanted. But... Glimmer: I need to be sure if you can be trusted. Catra: I'm saying I'm not dangerous, isn't that enough for you? I mean, I am dangerous but I...don't mean to...harm you...Not right now at least. Glimmer: I'm sorry, I need to do this. Catra screamed when Glimmer's magic touched her but it didn't hurt. But when she the truth comes out from her lips for the first time, she'll definitety cry but later she'll also feel relieved. Catra: So...is it working? I feel your pink shit all over me. Just get this over with. Is it working? Glimmer: I don't know. Would you please stop being so stubborn? I'm trying to help us here. Ugh! I wish Adora was here and-! Catra: (wispering) I wish Adora was here, too... They both looked at each other. Glimmer was already laughing and Catra was embarrassed. Glimmer: You didn't just say that. Catra: I...I...did. Dammit! So what!?  Glimmer: Nothing, it's cute. I thought you hated her. Well, I thought you hated life in the first place, then Adora. Catra: Oh, well. That proves my hypothesis: you are stupid. Glimmer: Hey! You can't blame me. You are confusing. Catra: She confuses me, too... Glimmer: Hahahahaha you are so into her. Catra: (Catra tried to lie but failed to do so) I am...n-..., I AM NNNN-.... Glimmer: What's the matter? Cat got your tongue? Catra: I hate you. Glimmer: I know. So...you're not denying it. You do like her. Catra: Sparkles,...
Catra dared to met Glimmer's eyes. The spell was actually working. Catra´s eyes were so sure about what she was going to say. Whether she like it or not, her eyes were glowing helplessly. Glimmer noticed everything.
Catra: Sparkles,... everything I did (Catra began to say) was because I like her.

2)
Somewhere in Horde Prime's ship:
Glimmer: This is great, simply great. I can't believe this is happening to me. No, Glimmer. Calm down, freaking out won't help. Everything is going to be okay...someday...soon...I hope. Catra: Can you keep it down? Catra was on the floor with the same look she had when both of them where fighting. Glimmer inmediately remembered: Glimmer: Hey, Catra...? Catra: Is there something I can do for you? Glimmer: Back there, before we got into this mess, you seemed-...you look...well, not so good. Catra: What do you mean? She knew exactly what she meant. Glimmer: Sad, like...you've given up. Catra: I have. I don't...I don't want to talk about it, Sparkles. It happens, okay? Get over it. Glimmer: I know it happens. I'm having some problems, too, you know? And this (she pointed out the fact that Horde Prime showed up and that they were trapped in the enemy's ship)...doesn't compare to them. Catra: Oh, god, do I need to hear about your problems now? I'm starting to miss that moment when you were talking by yourself... Glimmer: One of them is about Adora. Catra: Of course it is. She is a problem. I'm glad you figured it out. Glimmer: She is not. We are just not in a good place right now. Silence. Catra: I'm sorry to hear that... Glimmer was caught by surprise because of that statement. Glimmer: Do you miss her? Catra: Ugh! Glimmer: Okay, I'll shut up. Catra:...Do you miss her? Glimmer: Of course, but I'm still...angry. I'm turning against her, and that is just so...unfair of me. I-I don't know what came over me...I don't deserve her. Catra: Hmm...Sparkles? Glimmer: Yes? Catra: Don't get me wrong, I really, really, really, reaaaally want to hear your story but...can I ask you something? Glimmer: Sure... Catra: She....doesn't think about me anymore, does she? I've crossed the line and you...I'm sure you'll fix things up with her in the blink of an eye. Glimmer: Hey, don't be so sure about that. Not everything can be solved that easily. As for your question, I'm afraid I don't know what she thinks. She...hasn't spoke of you recently. She doesn't want to, I think, because if she did, it would hurt, you know? You were special to her, I can tell, everyone does. But you pushed her away. And yeah, I get it, she left you first but she came back, again, and again, and again. Catra: I know what she did...And I admit I have my ups and downs. But it was hard, you know? Glimmer: What is? Catra: Change. To be...(she turned her head a little just to look at the window and stare at the space) far away from her. I felt hurt and I couldn't think straight. I wanted her close but I told her the opposite. I was confused and, as you well figured, sad. Angry, too. Don't be like me, Sparkles. Don't lose her, okay? Glimmer: Hey...(Glimmer sat down in front of her and Catra tried to stay away. Glimmer kept her distance.) You know you can be friends again, right? Catra: It's too late for me, Sparkles. Besides, we're still in Horde Prime's ship and I promised him that I would help. Glimmer: You are still on his side...I thought that back there you said that to cover my ass. Catra: I-I did. That was the first thing that I could think of, okay? Listen, I don't have a plan just yet. And no, I'm not on his side, I don't have one anymore. I can't trust anyone not even myself because apparently I'm incapable of making good decisions. I didn't appreciate Scorpia, I betrayed Entrapta...It's like I'm not letting anyone in since-...hmm... Glimmer: Wow, Adora is very important to you... Catra: It doesn't matter. I disappointed her, too. She's in the past. Glimmer: Come on, don't be that stubborn. Adora loves you. Catra: Hmm.... Glimmer: Now what? Catra: Nothing. Glimmer: You know it's true. Catra: She doesn't love me love me. Glimmer: Do...you...want her to love you love you? Catra: What? I didn't say that. Glimmer: I know what you said but you said it in a way that could make me think that you want her to love you love you... Catra: Clearly, being away for so long from your glitter has made you mentally ill and also more annoying than usual. Glimmer: Oh my god. Catra: What...? Glimmer: OH...MY....GOD. Catra: No, don't say it. Glimmer: I'm going to... Catra: Glimmer, I swear to your god, if you don't keep your mouth shut I'm gonna- Glimmer: You are in love with her. Catra: UGH! WHY DO YOU HAVE TO SAY IT OUT LOUD? Glimmer: You love Adora. This is unbelievable. Catra: Of all the people in Etheria, why you, Sparkles? Why am I stuck with you for God knows how long??? And stop looking at me like that! Glimmer: Like what? Catra: I don't know! Glimmer: Well, it's not my fault you are in love with her. Catra: And you are implying this is my fault?! Glimmer: Gosh, you are really freaking out. It's so cute. So, I'm sorry if I'm being awkward because of your adorable awkwardness. Did you see what I did there? Adorable because of...you know who. It's hilarious. I'm hilarious. Catra burried her face in her palms. Glimmer: But this is great news! You have...feelings! Catra: I regret having this conversation with you. Glimmer: You and Adora. Adora and you. You are in love with a... Catra: Don't say it. Glimmer: Oh, I'm gonna. Catra: I'm gonna hunt you down for the rest of your life and throw your friend Bow off the cliff if necessary if you don't shut your- Glimmer: Princess. You are in love with a princess. The princess of all princesses, in fact.  Catra: UGH! Glimmer: Man, this will take time to get used to. Catra: Well, don't get too confortable, Sparkles. Glimmer: And here comes the negativity. Catra: What's the big deal, anyway? Glimmer: I don't know. You tell me. You are the one who is making all this drama. Catra: And you are making fun of me! Glimmer: I'm sorry! Catra: No, you are not! Glimmer: No, I'm not!

What I thought of Season 4
Ok honestly this is my opinion and do not take it personally. HOLY SHIT!! thats my pure reaction and this is why...
The first episode of season 4 introduced us to the coronation of glimmer as she ascends from her role as a princess to a QUEEN. Anyways later on the conflict began as Glimmer thinks that her friends and everybody else cannot show any sympathy at all now that her mother is gone. After some events, Glimmer became really pissed but learned that in the end as long as she has Adora and Bow, nothing can go wrong. Or at least that is what she thought...
Episode two shows Glimmer’s first act as queen to send Adora, Bow, Huntara, and Perfuma on a quest to bring back Mara’s ship. Problem is the ship got dragged away in Huntara’s home now fully infested with Horde soldiers. We were introduced to Double Trouble, who by the way is one of the best characters of season 4 as they show true shit later on. Catra pays Double Trouble daily so they would be on the Horde’s side. The end of the episode shows Perfuma being a badass and Glimmer showing up sad as she did not get to fight.
Ok so episodes 3-8 were one of the most frustrating, overwhelming, and intense episodes. Throughout those episodes the conflict between Adora and Glimmer has risen and (this is my opinion dont take it personally) was so pissed at Glimmer. Honestly, Glimmer asked Shadow Weaver for guidance, help, and practice without telling Adora even though she KNOWS that Shadow Weaver manipulates people especially Adora. The two fought so much to the point where Glimmer accuses Adora that if it werent for her then her mother would still be alive, I know it was in the heat of the moment but that is basically saying that she BLAMES Adora even though deep down she knows its not her fault. Also throughout these episodes, we find out that Light Hope is a bad guy, Scorpia realizes her toxic friendship going on with Catra, and they find out about Double Trouble who was the horde spy all along. BUT at what cost? well the horde became really strong and destroyed salineas and basically claimed the sea.
Episodes 9-11 were very well constructed. We find more about Mara and let me just say this a side note; damn! I love Mara’s transformation into She Ra! Anyways we also found out about the Heart of Etheria which is a REALLY dangerous energy that makes Etheria a weapon. Glimmer.. ugh GLIMMER plans to harnest the magic but is too reckless to see the damage it could do. Shadow Weaver I love your gardening and all but STOP DOING THIS TO PRECIOUS GLIMMER. Scorpia arrives to Bright Moon for help to look for Entrapta and well things dont go well but it ultimately ended up with Bow and Adora disobeying Glimmer’s order to save Entrapta. Beast Island was a tough challenge, I mean Adora and Bow found Glimmers dad Micah but damn he is savage. They struggles as there was this “signal” that implants and enhances negative thoughts and will slowly consume you. Luckily Adora remembered what Angella said to her before she died and stood up to fight. In the end they found entrapta or entrapta found them but Glimmer demands for Light Hope. Oh yeah! did i also forget to mention that Catra is slowly losing it because of Scorpia and how she left and how she realizes things when Lonnie, Kyle, and Rogello show up? well yeah that just made me sad for my poor bby Catra.
ah here we are, episodes 12 and 13. the finale of season 4 and the best part. as glimmer tries to reconnect scorpia to her runestone, entrapta enlightens adora, bow, micah, and swiftwind on what will happen to etheria if glimmer succeeds. adora realizes that and starts heading back. meanwhile double trouble, oh double trouble so mischievous. they told Hordak that catra lied and i swear hordak just snapped (chilled my entraptak vibes! chills) and honestly just wanted to kill catra. when catra found out.. man it was heartbreaking to watch, she actually gave up. catra even said to glimmer “just do it already” bruhh she wanted to die. when scorpia reconnected with her runestone, adora and bow were just too late. adora went to light hope but she tried to control her as those energy beams were coming off each princess. etheria was becoming a weapon but luckily adora smashes the sword ultimately stopping each energy beam thing and shutting down light hope. but thats not the end, hordak tried to kill glimmer but they were beamed up by horde prime. omg i swear horde prime is creepy AF and in the end he disposed of hordak and “welcomed” glimmer and catra. glimmer and catra looked at each other like “oh shit we cant fight each other, lets do a mutual alliance for now”
SO BASICALLY season 4 was the most tiring, I cried my heart out I swear. the character development was amazing. I absolutely love Double Trouble and well you get the rest. We saw Adora with her hair down but at what cost? it all ends on a cliffhanger making you scream and demand for season 5 but you know you have to wait. HAHAHA also thank you Noelle Stevenson Entrapta is alive!!
