A Ravenclaw Lunch 🦅

Drew some of my favorite Ravenclaws on this platform. Although one isn't necessarily a Ravenclaw. (@traceyc-uk I genuinely thought he was a Ravenclaw when I first saw him lol but I saw your comment reply somewhere that your first playthrough was Ravenclaw so I think this counts… a bit? 😂)

This post is basically a peace offering (and a love letter) bcs I want to make more Ravenclaw friends 👀👉🏻👈🏻 definitely not because I'm obsessed with you guys' MCs

I swear it was supposed to be a silly doodle at first but idk how or when down the line but somehow it turned into this mega drawing. Took me weeks to finish it. I’m not happy with a few technical things especially lights and shadows… and some other things as well but I leave it be bcs I’m aware that I’m still learning 🥲 The rest I’m pretty satisfied with, I’m just happy that I got to finally finish this.

Also bcs he’s an adorable little golden retriever (but also a fierce cat!😼) You’re super talented in drawing comics and facial expressions, I have a lot to learn especially in terms of layouting… last time I made a comic I hated the layout and the fact that it looks stiff to me, so your comics has been such an inspiration!

to make changes to a story or to criticize it you have to first understand and respect it. arthurian legend exists on a wide spectrum the scope of which cannot be overstated. that’s not an excuse. try to interpret the deeper themes behind the layers of sometimes uncomfortable medieval subject matter anyway.

insofar as retellings go, merlin characterization varies wildly and i like many of them—from mary stewart’s asexual sweet thoughtful dad type to t. h. white’s silly weirdo old man to phyllis ann karr’s creepy inhuman predator type. i just need to be narratively convinced of it.

the movie sword of lancelot (1963) had a dagonet that told fun rhymes and offered worldly advice. king arthur (2004) dagonet was a stoic warrior with two lines of dialogue in the entire film and didn’t smile once. guess which film understood the material it drew from better and utilized the character in a meaningful way.

comprehension and respect is what sets john boorman’s excalibur (1981) at the top and leaves cursed (2020) wallowing at the bottom of the barrel. i’m not watching bc i heard the legendary sword excalibur was going to be on screen—i’m watching bc i want to become emotionally invested in a cleverly written character with lofty goals and interesting flaws wielding it. i want to root for them, imperfect though they be. but their faults have to be an intentional and thoughtful writing choice, not a result of poor planning on the creator’s part, and not an attempt to “fix” the medieval material and market to as broad an audience as possible. great king bad husband arthur succeeds where girlboss nimue fails.

i don’t want arthurian legend to suffer as greek mythology has suffered. i don’t want any of it watered down for modern sensibilities but neither do i want game of thrones 2. i don’t claim to be the final judge of what a “good” or “bad” arthurian adaptation is by any means. i like all of them! but i have read enough medieval literature and modern retellings and watched every film and show and documentary on the subject i can find, so i’m coming from that angle when i say a successful adaptation of medieval stories should act as a continuation of tradition. that can only be achieved when one considers the merit of the story above all else. capitalism will try to strangle it but we can’t let that happen. palatability or edginess for the sake of being palatable or edgy has no place in mythology and literary tradition.

all good stories are balanced, and the only way to be balanced is to admire the original stories and appreciate them for what they are, products of their time though they may be, and determine what the most compelling story you can tell with that material is. then write it down without any agenda in mind. it’s an art, not a science. so in the wake of booktok trends and weaksauce fantasy adaptations the likes of witcher (2019) and rings of power (2022) created by people who don’t like or understand the source material besieging our feeds, let’s create something beautiful. go forth and make stuff. gay knights and gay rights.

Could you tell me your process in designing Merlin and Charlie, both in aesthetics and personalities? You mentioned in your Q&A post about the design changes so I’m intrigued in your thought process!

My memory is shit so I had to go through old Discord messages for this lmaooo, but it was fun! …When I wasn’t dying due to cringe.

For those who don’t know, these two are Tales of Arcadia’s Merlin, and Tales of Arcadia’s Charlie! Aka the two that started all this.

Merlin:

Back when The King of the Nameless was still a ToA fanfiction, (titled Emerald Embers), I didn’t have plans to change Merlin that much at first, besides giving him a long white ponytail (inspired by his concept art), some earrings, and the outfit that @tenyai drew in some storyboard explorations!

After some time passed, I decided to make him look more intimidating to better fit his role as someone who’s been through war for most of his life. I was inspired by this concept art! I thought he looked really cool, and it’s still my favorite storyboard version of him.

A few months later my Artbreeder era started when I wanted to make him myself. We don’t talk about that.

Eventually, I got a design commissioned!

By this point, I’d had the idea to depict him with darker skin, but he didn’t have a defined race (I accepted @aaronwaltke’s headcanon/idea of him being so old nationalities weren’t a thing yet.)

Time passed, and I went on my unintentional but helpful hiatus for several months before coming back.

Once I started revisiting the yet to be retitled Emerald Embers, I had the idea to redesign Merlin again.

I had watched this TikTok, and afterwards, for some reason, got curious and decided to look up if locs with white hair exist (they do, of course, I was just making sure I wasn’t being stupid).

The idea was also partly from me realizing that Merlin being ambiguously brown without a defined race wasn’t… good, even with his “age”. The trope of characters without a defined race is really common, and a bit problematic, so it would be cool to have a clearly Black protagonist. I was already getting heavily attached to the concept when I approached my boyfriend with it, and I tried to convince him to tell me redesigning him again was a bad idea, but I don’t think I would’ve listened even if he had told me lol.

I also remembered Once Upon A Time’s Merlin, who’s Black, and that helped convince me more!

About a week later, I was making Picrews while planning to commission someone eventually!

I finally approached his original artist after searching for one a bit, because I saw one of their posts on Reddit and loved their art style!

After a few renditions, Merlin had a set design at last!

Or… so I thought, lol. I’d wanted Merlin to have an undercut on every side of his head, like an au of Adora where she has the hairstyle, and his locs actually going halfway down his back. I basically gaslighted myself into forgetting that when his first artist drew it short. 💀 Maybe he started growing it out and shaved the rest of his head after he turned immortal or something lol.

Anyways, got into contact with his current design’s artist. While looking up references for his body type (even though I had one already, so I don’t know why I did that lol), I found his current body type and was like “Perfect”.

And his hair is actually longer than I’d planned! :D Fully down, I think it would reach his knees or possibly longer.

Then him being a transgender man grabbed me by the throat, and I eventually came up with a design for how he looked when he found Charlie!

He was physically twelve at this point, but chronologically sixty-four. (Almost thirteen and sixty-five lol. He transitioned when he was sixteen physically, chronologically eighty.)

So, in a summary, Merlin has gone from cisgender white ➡️ cisgender ambiguously brown skinned (glad I changed that lol) ➡️ cisgender Black ➡️ transgender Black.

He’s changed so much lol.

And something I find funny about DR!Merlin's design vs TKN Merlin: the latter Merlin is just. ONE inch taller now. 6'8" compared to 6'7".

Also I’ll end this with the point that technically, his appearance is never described in original Arthurian text, so he can look like whatever I want him to. ;)

Charlie:

Finally onto the best boy!!

After getting my first adoptable, a dragon named Mantis, I looked at ToA Charlie again and just went “😬”

Alongside him being a little bit too humanoid for my taste, (and his neck proportions taking me out, lol) his wings being leathery with holes in them made me annoyed because they logically should have repaired themselves; as long as a bat has proper rest and nutrition, tears in their wings can heal on their own without medical attention. With as many holes as he has, he obviously shouldn’t be able to fly.

Anyways, thought of redesigning him for a bit, but never had any fleshed out concepts of anything since dragon Picrews are unfortunately hard to come by.

Then I got this dragon adoptable!

Apparently about three minutes later, I thought: what if that was the redesign for Charlie? I ran with it, and that’s how this dragon became Charlie! Still ToA at this point, lol.

(Me deciding an adoptable is perfect for a character design, actually, was what happened with Morgana too but we’ll talk about her later.)

Later, I saw an awesome unicorn adoptable and wondered if it was still open, so I contacted Charlie’s second artist! It wasn’t, so I asked if I could get a commission instead since some slots were available.

If I remember right, I asked for him to be in a flying pose, and after a traditional sketch I loved immediately, it was onto digital, then coloring! He got a little bit of a redesign, lol; I love how his colors seem far more vibrant, and how his wings actually look like lava! :D

Somewhere along the line, I decided the swirls and leaves on his leg would be his familiar mark!

Time passed, and The King of the Nameless started coming to life. I asked Reddit for new name suggestions for Charlie because I thought I shouldn't/couldn't keep the same name; got absolutely great suggestions like Fred, Scorch (also fun fact that's referenced in this oneshot lol), and... Jarred. No, I'm not kidding. Gave up on Reddit and Googled male dragon names before going to a generator. That gave me the amazing name Tyson, and hell yeah, I'm absolutely gonna name an ancient dragon after chicken nuggets! (It's actually derived from the Old French word "tison", or "firebrand", but admit it, the chicken nuggets is funnier.) I even thought of naming him Falkor after the dragon in The Neverending Story lol.

But Falkor didn't stick. No matter how hard I tried, my brain refused to latch onto the name, and I always kept internally referring to my dragon as Charlie. I tried to think of more new names, but nothing would come to mind, and at one point the only name I could think of was Adam. Eventually my boyfriend just said "as long as you don't name him Charlemagne from Tales of Arcadia you'll be fine".

So after all that, Charlie he stayed!

Some more time passed, and I got my first commission of Merlin and Charlie in the same picture!

He was unintentionally drawn as pretty small since I forgot to send size references at first lol.

Got two more pieces! He was pretty much consistent size wise for these two.

I started getting a fourth piece of them together, using an incredible sketch I made for the artist to have as a reference that I should post against the final art like this post lol.

And when I got the sketch, Charlie was BIG, far bigger than before.

Debated on it keeping it his new size or not for a little bit until I was like: "fuck it we ball the other arts are in the past and this is present". (Also Merl's hair isn't long in most pieces anyway lol.)

Bro's like. the size of a car now.

Something I thought funny that applies to both of their designs: just like Merlin’s hair got longer and longer (although I wanted it halfway down his back in the first place and forgot) Charlie’s gotten bigger and bigger lol.

Another thing about Charlie's design I find funny: he's bigger than ToA Charlie now.

A Taste of Defeat

Summary: Just a fluffy headcanon scenario of how a friendly duel leads to Sebastian and F!MC's first kiss.

Pairing: Sebastian Sallow / F!MC

Themes: Duelling, first kiss / WC: 1K

She'd found Sebastian in the Undercroft, in the process of blasting a training dummy almost to pieces. Not wanting to disturb him, she'd watched as he unloaded a barrage of Confringo and Depulso until the poor thing looked rather worse for wear.

When he'd finally sent it spiralling into the opposing wall, he doubled over, placing his hands on his knees and taking deep lungfulls of air.

"Hardly a fair fight," she remarked.

He jumped and spun to face her, breathing heavily. Internally, she thought he looked quite dashing out of breath as he was, cheeks flushed and hair dishevelled, but she kept that to herself.

Sebastian quickly regained his composure, straightening up and plastering on his trademark smirk. "Are you volunteering?"

"Sure. Though I assure you..." she went to walk past him, stopping to breathe into his ear. "You'll lose."

He looked down at her and she was forced to acknowledge (not for the first time) that he had grown several inches over the summer.

"Possibly," he retorted.

"Certainly."

"I've gotten better."

"Well, I am better."

Merlin, she hoped she wasn't talking out of her arse. He would never let her live it down if he beat her. They had duelled a few times since their first meeting in Defence Against the Dark Arts, but she had always come out on top.

"Alright then, challenge accepted," he said, smirking. "I've had a good warm up, anyway. Rules - no ancient magic allowed."

"I didn't need ancient magic to beat you on my first day and I certainly don't need it now."

He tsked, but his eyes were teasing. "You're awfully cocky. You just took me by surprise, is all."

She hummed in mock agreement, walking past him to the far end of the Undercroft and spinning on her heel to face him. "And every time since?"

"Touché."

They both raised their wands, poised to strike. He was smiling, almost smug, and she found she very much wanted to wipe that look off his face.

She took the initiative, casting Levioso quickly in order to catch him off guard. No such luck, he easily shielded himself before sending a purple jet of Depulso her way.

They traded spells for several minutes, illuminating the Undercroft with bright flashes of light. She was forced to acknowledge that he had improved, but she knew she would win in the end. She always did.

Eventually, she found her opening. He cast his shield charm a split second too late and was pushed off balance; she pounced on the blunder.

"Accio!"

She savoured his look of surprise as his clothing traitorously pulled him towards her. He came to a halt just in front of her, and she was just getting ready to end it with Expelliarmus when he did something she was wholly unprepared for.

He hooked his arm around her waist, drew her to him, and pressed his lips to hers.

Her brain ceased to function.

The moment was both endless and over in an instant, and she vaguely felt his free hand snatch the wand from her grip before he pulled away, dancing out of reach.

"Ha! I win!" He was elated, waving her wand in the air like a trophy.

What had just happened? She could only stand there, dumbstruck.

"That - that's not fair!" She finally managed to stammer.

He gave her a sly look, twirling her wand between his fingers. "Ah ah. We simply agreed to no ancient magic. If you wanted to add more conditions, you should have specified."

Her bafflement was rapidly transitioning into rage. How dare he!

"You know what, Prewett was right. You Slytherins do fight dirty," she huffed, fully aware that she was pouting and being a very sore loser indeed.

He laughed. "Oh, come on! I was simply exploiting an opening. Perfectly reasonable tactics."

He started walking towards her, a glint in his eye that simultaneously gave her butterflies and put her on her guard.

"So, you didn't enjoy it, not even a little bit?" He asked, voice still light.

He slipped her wand back into her hand and she clenched it tightly. She'd felt awfully vulnerable without it.

"Absolutely not." She refused to look at him, staring resolutely at a very interesting suit of armour in the corner.

"So, you absolutely wouldn't want me to do it again?"

She felt her heart skip a beat. What was wrong with her? Part of her mind told her that he was just messing with her to try and get a reaction, whilst the other - the much less rational part - was screaming at her to look at him.

Despite being very much against her better judgement, she turned to face him. He was very close, and was looking at her like that.

"Hm. For someone who is absolutely sure, you're taking an awfully long time to -"

She didn't let him finish. She grabbed his tie and sharply pulled his mouth down to meet hers; to shut him up, she would tell herself, later.

His lips were soft and pliant, and it didn't take him long to master his surprise and bring his hands up to frame her face.

She kissed him greedily, not really sure what had come over her. A spark of excitement twisted in her core as he angled his head to kiss her more deeply.

His thumb brushed across her cheek, leaving fire in its wake, and she felt her whole body shiver when he groaned softly into her mouth, eliciting her own breathless gasp.

They broke apart, breathing heavily. She knew her cheeks must be scarlet and Sebastian's eyes were dark. He looked like he wanted to devour her.

It suddenly felt like too much. Not five minutes ago she'd been ready to blast him across the room. Not able to look at him anymore, she wrapped her arms around his waist and pressed her face into his shoulder. He was pleasantly warm.

"This win still doesn't count," she muttered.

He wrapped his arms around her. "Oh, it definitely does."

and killing morgana with that special sword might have been symbolic and stuff but also like… merlin just breaking her neck with a flick of his wrist and turning back to tend to arthur… dude.

The Legendborn Cycle Theory Time!

So Tracy Deonn finally dropped us a delectable little breadcrumb for LB3 (6/6/23) via an Instagram post and I am now going to proceed to overanalyse the shit out of it because I cannot help myself.

So Ms Deonn is introducing a new magic system (exciting!) and she posted flowers 🌷🌷🌷🌷- fiery-looking tulips in the foreground. She also mentioned that the scene where Bree is introduced to this new system will involve some kind of emotional payoff. So, my theories:

Disclaimer: I just spitball when I make my theories, they are like 50% thinking and 50% intuition. In other words, I may or may not have a logical reason behind them, I'm just here to have fun.

1. Initially I thought it could be Morgaine magic, but Morgaines also use aether, just a different style of it, and I can't see the emotional ties there. May have to think more about it.

2. Fae magic was my second/related thought, but I cannot see the emotional link at this point. Also Fae haven't been (officially?) introduced in this series, though they are present in Arthuriana so it would make sense to have them.

3. Given how Sel mockingly suggests Bree's mom used magic to 'grow prettier flowers,' back in LB, I'm wondering whether this is a magic system that Faye created with Natasia (Sel's mommy). We've seen them blend magic together already for Bree's sake, so maybe out of love for their children and the realisation that they would be separated from them, they ended up devising something entirely new. Maybe the new magic is how Natasia was healed of demonia? We're definitely getting a Natasia story, where we'll probably learn more about Bree's mom via Nat's pov as she explains to Bree. Bree meeting her, learning more about Faye's secret life as a Rootcrafter/Bloodcrafter who befriended a Merlin will definitely be quite touching.

4. Back to a semi-theory /idea I made in a comment on someone's post... Could be possible we see the Shadowking follow through on his promise and drain Bree of his power, almost killing her in the process. Maybe more HC than theory, I can imagine Bree reconciling with Vera and all her mothers in the ancestral plane as she almost dies, and in the process learning from them that there is magic that is borne out of love, and not pain or bloodshed the way bloodcraft is. This 'higher' magic wouldn't come at the cost bargaining your life away or from theft.

Imagines the ancestral plane transformed into a field of tulips, Bree and her mothers all clothed in pretty white dresses... At very least I may turn this into a fic because 😭

5. Linking back to the previous point, tulips represent forgiveness and pure love, suggesting those elements could be at play in this new magic system. It hearkens back to Bree's ancestor - Jesse I think - who drew on her power by thinking about the love she had for her mom (? Can't remember specifics). Maybe she had the right idea, but wrong magic (bloodcrafted root).

6. There was an article where some of Tracy's favourite books were listed, and it was fun to refer to that list to find out where she may draw some of her inspiration. Of note was the Dark is Rising (DiR) sequence, a series of children's stories that is fantasy based in Arthurian legend. I skimmed through the Wiki for that series and noted lots of themes and ideas overlapping with Legendborn. Notably, the magic system of DiR features three types of magic - Old Magic, Wild Magic, and High Magic. Old Magic is elemental and reminds me of Aether as used by the Order in LBC (Sel explains how magic is physics and aether is an element), Wild Magic is drawn from nature and would be similar to Rootcraft in LBC, and then the third type in DiR is High Magic, - cosmic in origin, and more powerful than the other two. ALL THIS TO SAY I think the new system we'll be introduced to will be incredibly powerful, moreso than what we've seen, and possibly tied into higher principles like love, sacrificial love, forgiveness, truth, etc.

Anyways that's enough rambling for now. I'm actually most excited about seeing how Tracy uses the new system as part of Bree's healing journey. Honestly this series is just so impactful and I know that third book will make me cry (in a good way).

I took WAY too long to posting this on Tumblr, for a while I've been struggling to getting around to posting stuff let alone getting onto my laptop around the time I should have posted this. I've finally gotten around to posting what I didn't get around to posting.

Original text from DA(minus the bit about struggling to get on my laptop plus update about lighting)

Been a bit since I drew anything, I drew a couple sketches today(traditional sketches are quicker for me) & took too long to get pics so I had to setup a ring light if I wanted these to get posted today.(Well yesterday since it's midnight)

So as of midnight the show Unicorn Warriors Eternal has become a year old(first episode aired May 5th, 2023 in the US), it's a show about 3 warriors tasked with fighting an evil force that resurfaces at points in time after they defeat it for a while. Due to how things go they travel threw time via a robot that holds their souls until the right time before allowing them to "reincarnate"(take control of hosts for a certain amount of time) in order to defeat the evil. The show happens when they awaken in 1890s England, something leads to their most recent awakening going wrong as they are awaken early & put into bodies that aren't old enough to deal with being hosts. One of the hosts, a 19 year old that was about to marry her childhood sweetheart might be able to help the warriors as she helps with past issues & manages to bond with the warrior she's the host of while accepting that she has to fight.

It's an interesting show but it feels like everything goes a little fast so if there's ever a season 2 I hope they try to space things out more.

Anyway this is a pic suggested by my friend who introduced me to the show, they suggested drawing the cast trying to deal with what happened in the season 1 finale which to be honest was wild. Pretty much Wilson is comforting a severely confused/horrified Edred while Merlin decided he's getting drunk to deal with this. Copernicus, Seng/Alfie & Emmlinda are in the background as Elaith(an OC belonging to me & my friend) is held back by the Reawakened because he's rightfully pissed that the warriors fucked up time & space with their last battle.

I have 39 works (many of them wips... lol) and I also have two fics in the @topwan-obikin fest which I am very excited about! And posting has officially started so everyone should go and check out all the amazing fics that are coming out of it!

What fandoms do you write for?

*cracks knuckles* a lot lol right now I am really into writting for Obikin (top Obi and bottom Ani), but I also write for a very large variety of other fandoms, some being Star Trek (Mckirk), Merlin (merthur), 911 (Buddie), Avengers (Stucky), Stranger Things (Steve/Eddie), Supernatural which i have a lot of fics for (Destiel), Teen Wolf (Sterek), I also write some pairings for various Kpop groups, not that I ship them outside of the group. I know that probably doesnt make sense lol, but I kind of see them inside the group as characters in a way, but then outside of the groups I am always so happy for my boys no matter what they do :D

Unwrap Me - (Evan Buckley/Eddie Diaz, 9-1-1, word count 3742, kudos 426) Summary: It’s the day after Christmas and Eddie’s alone in the house and bored out of his mind, so he decides to go to Buck’s apartment. What he finds there is not exactly what he was expecting, but he’s definitely not complaining.

All I Want For Christmas is You - (Evan Buckley/Eddie Diaz, 9-1-1, word count 7905, kudos 402) Summary: Eddie’s mom and ex-wife are up to no good at his Abuela’s Christmas Eve party, good thing Buck proposed he go to the party as Eddie fake date to keep them at bay.

A Magic Kingdom Love - (Dean Winchester/Castiel, Supernatural, word count 15,300, kudos 283) Summary: Dean and Cas are both working for Disney and have been cast as the very first gay princes. And at first they hate each other but it’s hard to pretend you’re in love all day for sweet, shy kids, and then not makeout under the bridge of the magic kingdom castle.

The Will of the Force - (Anakin Skywalker/Obi-Wan Kenobi, Star Wars, word count 93,820, Kudos 249) This fic is almost complete, I think it will have one more chapter! Summary: What if Obi-wan hadn't been granted permission to train Anakin in the ways of the Force? What if Qui-Gon hadn't perished during the battle with Darth Maul? How differently would things have turned out?

Do you respond to comments?

I always do! I love reading comments, they inspire me and keep me going, and I love responding back to let the readers know how much I appreciate them <3

What's the fic you write with the happiest ending?

Honestly all of my fics have a happy ending. In my original novels I'm a bit more open to having an ending thats not so happy, so when I write for fandoms I usually write happy endings. But I would say The Will of the Force will have a very happy ending, and Lost in Translation which is a Star Trek Mckirk fic will also have a happy ending even though the plot is a bit angsty.

Do you get hate on fics?

Oh, story time. So when I first started writing for fandoms, one of the first fics I wrote and posted for was Supernatural, and I was writing this very long Destiel series that involved an original character named Sara. And I was really nervous about posting, but forced myself to do it anyways, and for some reason this person decided to read the first few chapters of the first fic in the series and she destroyed it. She had deemed herself the "official fanfic.net critique" and in her bio had even gone as far as to put that it should be considered an honour to have her pick apart your fanfics. So she decided that she did not like the inclusion of my OC Sara and told me that it was completely unessesary for her to be in the story, started to demand that I re-write the fic and remove the OC, then repost it again for her to re-evaluate, and then proceeded to destroy the ret of my fic and the writing, to the point where I became very discouraged and didn't write for like two years after that. Long story short, I am now at the point where I don't care what anyone thinks of my writing. If you like it, great! Come along on the journey with me and we can enjoy it together, and if you don't like what I'm writing then that's perfectly fine too. Not every piece of writing is for everyone, but if you don't have anything nice to say then please keep it to yourself and find something you do like to read.

Do you write smut? What kind?

Yes, I definitly do lol. Most of my fics have at least one scene.

Do you write cross-overs?

Yes! I love crossovers. In my AO3 right now I have one crossover called Running with the Wolves which is a Maze runner and Teen Wolf crossover with Sterek being the main pairing.

Aside from that I have a few crossovers in my WIP's folder

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

No, and I hope to never experience it.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

No.

Have you ever cowritten a fic before?

No, but maybe one day, I am open to the idea. I'm just so busy right now, I would hate to hold someone up who's a faster writer then me.

What's your all time favourite ship?

It changes regularly lol, but right now my favourite ship is back and forth between Obikin and Woosan.

What's your WIP you like to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I have a lot of WIP's, and I hate to think that I wouldn't finish one because I have the intention to finish them all. But I guess I would say the one thats at the bottom of my list right now are probably my Avengers fics.

What are your writing strengths?

I have no idea lol But I do usually get compliments on my smut scenes and I'm oretty good at writing angst.

What are your writing weaknesses?

I always struggle with description between narratives. I have no trouble with the dialogue, but the actions that the characters are doing between the narrative is what always gets me.

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I have written a few small sentences here and there in other languages. Mostly Korean, and then I have also written a bit in Elvish, Not sure if that counts but I've done it.

First fandom you wrote for?

I want to say Merlin/Merthur was the first fandom I wrote for, and Supernatural/Destiel was the first fandom I posted for... I think lol

Favourite fic you've ever written?

Oh, that's a hard one... I'm pretty fond of The Will of the Force, and I would say that outside of the Star Wars fandom I also really love Lost in Translation for the Star Trek fandom.

But I do have a few WIP's that I'm really excited for that will hopefully be coming soon. Both of them are Pirate AU's, and one of them is for Star Wars (Obikin) and the other is for Woosan (Ateez, Wooyoung/San).

Excerpt:

Albus chuckled to himself at the sight of it, then slowly unfastened the letter from the bird's thin leg. In the background he could hear Bathilda's and Cyril's voices as they spoke softly to one another, but the sound of it faded into complete silence the second he noticed the writing on top of the green envelope. That handwriting... It was unmistakeable, could not possibly belong to anyone else; those unusually drawn out and quite beautiful letters - with all hooks and pretty shapes - that he had seen only two times before - both times in Herr Grindelwald's letters to Gellert.

But this letter was not addressed to Gellert, it was for him, and that realization made a wave of terrible coldness crash through him, made his throat tighten until he almost could not breathe through the anxiety.

"Who's it from?", Gellert asked beside him, his soft voice instantly breaking him out of the mist. Gentle eyes rested on him with worry and love in them, his warm hand stroked over Albus' arm a few times in a comforting gesture; clearly sensing his stress.

He should be honest with him, Albus knew. He should tell him 'your father' and nothing else - but he did not dare to. Because if Gellert learned that his father had written to him he would be distraught, furious, and he would do something very stupid under the influence of the emotional storm - all simply to protect him. All that Albus knew with absolute certainty, and he could not allow that to happen. He would not allow that to happen. Gellert was already worried enough about things as it was - about the Christmas party, about the failed rally, about Greengrass and Malfoy's betrayal - and Albus was not going to add to the list. 

No, this he had to handle himself.

"Elphias", was what he answered, a few moments too late, and quickly put the letter away in the inner pocket of his dark blue jacket. "I'll read it later."

"Who's Elphias?", Cyril's voice asked far, far away; his dark eyebrows raised as he slowly drank from his glass of wine.

"An old friend of mine, from Hogwarts." Albus avoiced both Gellert and Cyril's gazes as he spoke the words, because he knew that if he looked at anyone, right now, he would instantly start to cry. Gellerts' eyes burned hot against the side of his face, intently searching his expression for lies; he clearly did not trust him, right now, and Albus tried to smile at him for a second before once again quickly turning his gaze away. " Would you all excuse me for a few minutes? I must visit the loo."

"Of course." Cyril chuckled to himself after swiftly answering his question, slowly drew the smoke of his cigarette into his lungs, but Gellert was less quick to reply. He came closer to him as Albus started to hurry towards the door, and took a gentle hold of his arm, effectively stopping him. "Hey, are you alright?", he asked, softly stroking the skin where the sleeve of Albus' jacket had slipped up over his wrist, and Albus forced himself to smile and nod - even as tears of anguish and panic started to burn in his eyes.

Why in Merlin's name would Herr Grindelwald write to him? Why did he always have to try to destroy everything for them?

"Yes, of course I am. I'll be right back." He walked away without another word, after that, walked until he reached the big bathroom on the second floor; and the few moments it had taken him to get himself out of the dining room and up the stairs had felt like a whole eternity, like forever. Finally there, Albus swiftly locked the door behind him and leaned back against the bathroom door as he tore open the letter.

He did not want to know what it said, but he read it anyway.

"Do you think this is good?" Draco muttered to Blaise as he tried to adjust his tux, "Man, you look better than I do right now," Draco mumbled as he stared in the mirror and ran his fingers through his silky blond hair, "Shut up, you look a lot better than me anyways"

"Do you think Y/n would like this?" Draco asked, "She would, of course!  Now I have to go get Pansy, see you at the ball," Blaise stated as he exited the room.

Draco was alone, so he took one last look in the mirror before heading out to find his date for the night, Y/n.

"H-Hey, is Y/n around?" Draco asked hesitantly "No, she actually left for the ball," Y/n's friend replied to which Draco nodded and left for the ball to find Y/n, who was dressed in a beautiful gown.

He couldn't wait any longer and pushed the entrance Hall door wide without hesitation; he didn't even need another second to figure out where she was because she was always a fascinating girl who stood out from the crowd.

But something wasn't quite right; she was laughing with someone else. "Of fucking course, Potter has to ruin it every time," Draco murmured as he watched Y/n, his date, dance with Harry Potter, his sworn enemy.

Her laughter, smile, elegance, and grace, everything about her was stunning. But, for once, Draco couldn't take it all in, so he stood there watching the two dance.

As Harry's grip on her waist tightened, his grip on the whiskey glass tightened, and his other hand coiled into a fist, tightening till it left imprints on his palm. How could his date be dancing with someone else?

Just as the song ended, Draco stormed over to them, clearing his throat and saying, "If you don't mind Potter, but I'd want to dance with my date" as he extended his hand to Y/n, who smiled and replied, "Yes Harry, it was great dancing with you" as she accepted Draco's hand.

He led them to the dance floor, where they danced in unison as the music began to play. "Couldn't you just wait for me, hm?" "Oh Merlin, you were late, and he asked me for a dance, how could I say no?" Y/n replied as he clutched her waist harder than ever.

"It's not that hard, honey," he whispered as he turned her around, her back turned to Draco, and they both swayed to the music. "Remember that you are my date, not his," he said as he swung her over, their lips just touching and their faces only a few inches apart.

"jealous, are we?" Y/n smirked as she lingered a little longer in the position "Me, jealous?  You've got to be kidding me.." he looked her in the eyes, his stare slowly descending to her lips. She pulled away "We're dancing dear, concentrate on that," Y/n said and tightened her grasp on his shoulders, smirking, finally taking control of him.

"Ah, bold are we?" "You can say so," she said, but as the music faded, he drew her in for a kiss, saying, "Play time is over baby,"  She didn't pull away this time, their mouths entwined and tongues tangled, his taste of green apples and mint plastered all over her mouth. Draco grinned as they both backed away, "You have no idea how badly I wanted to do that in front of Potter," he said, and she giggled, her hand still resting on his shoulder.

Hey! I was wondering if you could do a Remus Lupin x Reader where she has been sending him cute anonymous love letters (w/ doodles, poems, & stickers, as well as detailed sketches of him that she drew). He’s been getting them weekly by owl post for months, but the marauders are having a hard time tracking her down (b/c she always uses school owls, writes with her non-dominant hand, etc.) and they finally find out that it’s a recluse Gryffindor girl who Lily is always talking about? I know this is very specific, but I thought it’d be a cute scenario, especially if Remus has had a crush on Reader for a while, but doesn’t think it’s her b/c of his ~self-hatred~ You don’t have to do it if you don’t want to, but thank you anyway!!! 💖

“Another one, Moony?” Sirius asked as Remus carefully opened the envelope that had dropped beside him. “This is what? The eight?”

“The fifteenth,” Remus mumbled, pulling the card out from its home.

“Oh, so you’re counting,” James said with one brow raised as he took a big gulp of orange juice.

“Do you know who it is yet?“ Peter asked as Remus scanned the letter.

On it was a bunch of doodles and sketches. Some were detailed, gone over multiple time with pen and pencil, and others were so faint on the paper you could hardly tell what it was.

“Don’t you think s’kinda creepy how they draw you?” Peter said, looking over the top of the letter and searching for the sketch of Remus that slowly became a usual occurrence.

“But it’s pretty good,” Sirius said aloofly, snagging the letter friend Remus’ hands and looking at the sketches for himself.

“I wonder who it is. . .” Remus said as he took a bite of his toast, scanning the Great Hall, searching for possibilities. His gaze came to a halt when they landed on Y/L/N, who sat quietly at the end of the Gryffindor table.

Accidentally the two made eye contact, and Remus quickly looked away, cursing himself in his head.

It was half an hour until the library closed. You sat by one of the windows doodling. You held your pencil loosely between your fingers, grazing the led lightly against your paper, creating faded marks.

You turned you head from your sketching to Remus, who was a couple of tables down. You weren’t trying to watch him in a stalker-ish type of way. It was more of, “Merlin, I wish he’d notice me, because I think he seems so- seems so perfect.”

No, it wasn’t stalking. It was simply admiring from a distance.

You fawned over his mildly messy brown hair, with matching brown eyes. Tonight, he had changed out of his robes and into a comfortable earth tone sweater with loose khakis.

You shook you head, sighing to yourself before looking down and returning to your sketching.

That is until you felt a light tap on your shoulder.

“Those are really neat,” Remus said softly behind you.

Your head shot up and out of habit your hand moved to cover your sketch pad. But when you saw who was talking you inched your hand off the paper.

“Y-you th-think-?“ You stuttered, wincing on the outside as the words came out.

“Yeah, f’course,” Remus said, smiling wide with his friendly smile. “Can I see more?”

“Uh- yeah- sure- let me just. . .” You mumbled as you flipped violently through the pages of your sketchbook before finding one that was decent enough to show.

“These. . .these are-“ Remus said as he drew his finger against your pencil marks. “These seem really familiar. . .?”

Your cheeks instantly flushed red, and you were tempted to snag your sketchbook back and runaway. However, you in way too deep now to go back to square one.

“They do?” You asked innocently, focusing on your breathing patterns, trying to avoid a heart attack.

“This sounds mad but- have you been the one sending the letter-?” Remus asked. His tone was calm and surprised rather than accusing, which did wonders to calm your rising nerves.

You couldn’t lie, you’d feel horrible if you lied, but this- this was a different kind of embarrassment. Less of a, “Oh no. . .” and more of a, “Oh god, you know-“

“Y-yeah,” you stuttered extraordinarily quiet. “I- I can st-stop anytime, though-“ You kept going even though you had no idea where you were headed, saying the last bit a tad louder than the first.

“I don’t mind all that much, since they’re really good, Y/N,” Remus said after a moment of painful silence. He then sat in the chair beside you, turned to face you, propped his elbow on the table, and then leaned his cheek on the palm of his hand.

“You- you don’t?”

“Nope,” he said with a goofier grin than before. “Besides, I was kinda hoping it’d been you.”
