Concept: Just before FNaF 6, Henry sitting down with Michael to get him to sign some documents for the pizzeria or whatever. Henry keeps playing the audio test things (that you use in the salvage section of the game) at random points in order to record Michael’s reaction. Every time it happens Michael just looks around like, “what is that and where is it coming from?” And every time Henry just hums and writes something down. Neither of them address this any further.

...Have I told anyone on here yet that my version of Elizabeth is actually Henry's daughter
I'm not sure what the circumstances are entirely but here's the thing
Elizabeth actually looks strikingly similar to her "mother", who she has no blood relation to, kind of serving as a reminder of the past for William, since he's partially why Mrs. Afton is out of the picture (either he killed her or she left idk I've made good writing for both ideas)
But William is extremely ashamed by the truth of this since Elizabeth was not planned for at all
Not that he hasn't had a kid before (btw he's trans I don't care argue with the wall), but her existence was the very definition of an accident and was kind of mortifying for Will since it was proof of his feelings for Henry and vice versa, so he comes up with this idea
Since Elizabeth was born shortly after the disappearance of Elise, he alleges that she is Elizabeth's mother, even naming Liz after her (though not for the lie he wanted to honor Elise in a weird way; the original name he gave her was Ellis, but of course Liz is also trans and changed it a bit which reminds William of Elise even more)
There's a photo of her in a locket that Elizabeth wears and everything
She's told that she looks just like her mother, and is given this whole dream of someone she wants to meet and get to know, that her mother would love her and that she was so much like her, which Liz is a bit like her, and William really would have wanted them to meet, but anyway
She has no idea that it's just some cover story because William doesn't want to confront his past and imperfections (he thinks it's an imperfection that he made a mistake), though he unfortunately sees it every time he sees Elizabeth, always feeling that he has to confront it again, which leads to his distance that he sometimes has towards her
This isn't intentional on his part either most of the time he doesn't always realize that he's putting up any sort of wall, he does try to be there for Elizabeth, but he unfortunately has his moments where he gets overloaded and unintentionally lashes out
Which he doesn't usually get to reconcile on that even when he's aware and does want to apologize, because by that time, Liz has already left the room
So anyway Elizabeth's only parents are William and Henry, so by technicality, it's more like she has two fathers
Henry is probably the only one to know the truth of this, none of the other kids know (but you know I think Michael would have his suspicions he is pretty smart), and unfortunately, since he believes it would be safer as well, Henry helps uphold the lie even though he wishes he could just be truthful at times
Oh god damn it that's actually really mean because Liz would never find out until maybe after her death and that just makes William even worse oh now I feel bad

Very random ask but what do you think the main casts favourite movie would be?
Okay, I had a lot of help from @misszura on this one because it was pretty tough. So we did a little brainstorming and this is what we came up with.
Evelyn
Generally, Evelyn tends to prefer movies that are on the more wholesome side.
Her favorite genres include fantasy, adventure, romance, and maybe some of the more light-hearted horror movies like Gremlins. Scary, but not too scary.
The Wizard of Oz is a favorite of hers, also The Goonies, The Princess Bride, Labyrinth, The NeverEnding Story, Beetlejuice, Willow, Willy Wonka.
She likes her movies to have a little whimsy to them.
Michael J. Fox is one of her celebrity crushes (along with Jason Bateman), so she definitely likes Teen Wolf and Back to the Future
Grease is another favorite of hers. As mentioned in the story, she enjoys Olivia Newton-John’s music, and I could see her really identifying with Sandy’s character as well as her relationship with Danny.
I mean, "Hopelessly Devoted to You" might as well be the theme of Evelyn’s life, right?
Hannah-Beth forced her to watch Dirty Dancing during a sleepover, and Evelyn was surprised by how much she enjoyed it. Add Patrick Swayze to her list of celebrity crushes.
Lastly, since she spends a lot of time with kids, Evelyn watches a lot of animated movies as well.
The Land Before Time makes her bawl like a baby every time she watches it.
Henry
Henry’s not big into movies.
He doesn’t have a ton of free time to just sit around, so I feel like most of his favorite movies are going to be ones he’s watched with Belch.
And I wouldn’t even say he has “favorites” honestly
So he’ll watch a lot of action movies, your classics: Mad Max, Die Hard, The Terminator, First Blood, Predator, Commando.
Horror movies also appeal to him.
Henry enjoys watching weak people suffer and die at the hands of some great, unstoppable force.
So your classic slashers: Friday the 13th, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street.
He also enjoys Evil Dead and Hellraiser
But again, his level of engagement and enjoyment is going to be a lot lower than everyone else’s.
He has a hard time completely escaping into movies.
Patrick
Patrick’s another one who doesn’t feel any kind of special attachment to movies.
They’re all the same to him. He may as well be watching TV static.
He enjoys horror movies, though, but only when he’s watching them with other people. He finds their terrified reactions extremely fascinating and entertaining.
This concept could apply to any genre, I suppose, but horror tends to elicit the most intense response from people—girls, especially.
That being said, there are certain movies that stand out in his memory.
He was really looking forward to Cannibal Holocaust because of all the controversy surrounding it: the snuff film allegations, animal cruelty, etc.
It was a bit of a letdown.
Patrick was very disappointed to learn that nobody actually died while filming it. He was hoping it was a real snuff film. Those are a lot of fun.
As we know, Patrick likes dystopian literature, so A Clockwork Orange was right up his alley. He also enjoyed the book.
Otherwise, Patrick mostly just watches a bunch of weird (and illegal) shit.
Vic
Vic’s one of those people who tends to criticize every movie he watches.
Would I call him a snob? A little bit
Growing up, he ruined a lot of Evelyn’s favorite movies by exposing all the plot holes, continuity mistakes, and factual errors.
It got to the point where Evelyn almost stopped watching movies with him entirely.
Almost.
If given the choice, young Evelyn would have gladly had all her movies ruined if it meant spending time with Victor.
But anyway...
If Vic had to pick a favorite genre, it would probably be science fiction, movies like Blade Runner, Alien, Dune.
He doesn’t like to advertise these interests, so if anyone asked, he’d probably just say action or horror and be done with it.
Sci-fi is for nerds and geeks, after all.
Belch
Belch probably has the most diverse movie tastes of everyone
That boy will watch anything, truly anything.
As mentioned in Henry’s section, he loves all the classic 80s action movies, especially the ones starring Schwarzenegger, Stalone, or Segal, but he also enjoys a good comedy: movies like Police Academy and Animal House, Stripes, Blues Brothers.
A lover of baseball, Belch has watched The Bad News Bears many times, especially when he was younger.
This Is Spinal Tap is another favorite of his. Christie actually introduced him to that one.
Horror movies? They’re not his personal cup of tea, but they’re fun to watch with a group or on a date (especially on a date)
When he’s with Christie, he usually lets her pick the movie, so he watches a lot of John Hughes movies. Belch doesn’t mind.
He just likes movies in general.

So. Another rant under the cut
I'd like to start this with; Elizabeth might be the animatronic that talks the most in FNaF, because bro does NOT SHUT UP!!! She's like me frfr. Anyways HEJAKHD
This is gonna be a silly rant. She's my favourite character, I probably went through her voice lines multiple times, but hey It won't hurt to do that again right
So, starting with.... No, i'm not gonna comment on Sister Location, that woman talks more than Phone Guy 😭
HOWEVER, FFPS HAS INTERESTING STUFF
For example she has a line saying "You don't really know who your employer is, do you?" Which is interesting. Very, very interesting. She's obviously talking about Henry, the line is directed at Michael. So how did she even knows Henry runs the whole thing?
Then, she has 2 other voice lines; "you're not who I expected to see" and "you should've known I'd find you". These two lines are SO confusing, they contradict each other in a way. She didn't expect Michael, but Michael should've known she'd find him? Weird. But sure. We'll take the doubt FOR THE MOMENT
Then she has a "It feels like home" voice line. Which. I'm not sure what that means. Maybe it's because everybody is there? Except for her mother and little brother. It could be. But also It doesn't feel like It would be for that reason, why would she feel like home with Scraptrap and Michael? I'm sure she doesn't even know Michael was there, she wouldn't attack him if so. And Scraptrap would be the only one she has left, how does It "feel like home"?
Then, of course, my favourite voice lines; "I guess you forgot about me" she has two of these, in one she seems ti remark the "me", in the other she'd just sad. She says that to William, since it's in UCN. Sooooo. Hm. I guess that says something about the Aftons! Then my point that she wanted to kill William, not Michael, gets yet another proof with the "want to see the scooping room?" Voice line
And Scrap Baby seems incredibly hateful, she's just. 😨 In UCN. Why does she treat William well in FFPS but wants to tear him apart in UCN? Well. Good question. Who knows, maybe she realized William does not care yet again
She's unhinged in every game don't mind her
I mean unless it's in FNaF AR cuz she's coming to kill you!!1!1!1!!1!1! Anyways her voice lines in FNaF AR is just... Hmmm comparable? To UCN Scrap Baby. "I can hear you breathing, but not for long." LIKE. hUH. It's kinda funny how in that same voice line she's just "I can hear you breathing✨✨✨✨💞🫶🫶🫶 but not for long 😠💀💀🫵" if that makes sense. If It didn't make sense then L womp womp
Like GIIIIRL WHY SO OMNIOUSSS "I wonder what will happen when I try to scoop you out of your..."Carton"..." GIRLLLL 😭😭 STOP SCOOPING PEOPLE CHALLENGE IMPOSSIBLE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Can you tell it's 7AM and haven't slept yet
Anyway the way she kinda threatens you but also doesn't is a bit creepy because. Literally her voice lines. Like she's obviously threatening but also giving you "tips" on survival? Like "If you are very, very quiet, maybe I will not find you". She's saying she WILL find you but if you keep quiet maybe she won't. Threat and also a tip for survival
Then we have the "soon you will be as broken as I am" I don't know if she means I will die or if I will get trauma because both work in this situation /silly
Dude in FNaF Help Wanted she has the funniest lines that don't have voice yet (??) or something the wiki doesn't have an audio 😭
ALSO 😭 I find It funny that she goes "TISK TISK"
The minigames. She says It so mischeviously and FOR WHAT. "Red light 🤓, green light >:)"
"Looks like you are underperforming. This will go in your permanent record" NOOOOOOO dude i'm 100% sure she just heard this going around the restaurants or just William or something 😭
OR MY FAVOURITE VOICE LINE ☝️ "do I need to call HR?"
I need the audio I didn't hear It but it's the voice line ever
"I like it here. It's safe, safe forever." Sometimes her voice lines make me think she didn't want to get out of the circus. Maybe William and her family made the world seem like a dangerous place to her. Like how maybe they did to Evan. Or maybe she just thought she made some kind of new family in the circus, which could be a possibility too, except everybody is also insane. Maybe she simply likes being the boss of something, and, in the circus, being the face of Circus Baby's Entretainment and Rentals was what gave her the chance to be the boss of her own group. Maybe nobody complained there or she felt approved in that envieroment with people that understood her and were in the same situation as her. Why wouldn't she want freedom? She mentioned It was "safe here". The circus could be maybe considered a second home for her. Why would she "want freedom", is what there is to ask. It's not like her concept of freedom is the same as everybody else's. Freedom could mean not be trapped underground for some, how do we know her freedom isn't the ability to do whatever she wants? She's the "boss", so she can do whatever, and the rest would listen, because she's CB, she's the pre assigned leader of the circus
Tumblr media
Anyways she's so silly AND so right
Tumblr media
Anyway she can also ask what makes you so special, more stuff to think about!!1!1!!1!!!!1!!!!!!!!
Aaand we all know she ends up giving you ice cream. I find It a funny moment, because you KNOW you're going to die like Elizabeth if you take the ice cream, but she keeps telling you to take It which makes you think you'll die either way if you don't take It either
Anyway. She doesn't kill you if you take the ice cream. She may manipulate you and backstab you to use you as a skin suit but she would never betray you and offer you ice cream just to take It everything (including your life) away 🫶

new lost ranking post the hurley episode i watched last night. episode 18? maybe. whatever
1. jack obviously. he’s never getting knocked off the top of the pyramid there’s literally nothing anyone else could do to make me like them more than jack…. nothing this show ever does will ever beat do no harm
2. sayid!!! his swag is like. so unbeatable… he just hits different AND he’s a total hottie too woah… loving his paranoid insane freak arc this season. the writers were like what if we killed his girlfriend and made him act insane. and i’m eating it up actually i mean i wish they hadn’t killed his girlfriend considering that was literally my good friend shannon who i miss deeply. but sayid is NOT moving on and i love it… need me a freak like that sorry
3. claire… maternity leave was HUGE… and that’s my friend belle she always ranks higher than she probably should because she’s my friend belle <3
4. hurleyyyyy :) my special little prince and i mean this… i’m such a hurley girl and yeah sure you can also chalk that up to the fact that hurley is the pet character of eddie and adam and i would love anything eddie and adam did forever and ever except that tron movie i could never quite get through watching. heart! anyway yeah i love hurley he’s my guy… hurley is so. me age 19 but different but the same. wow. if hurley could read some of my notes app poetry from 2020 he’d feel seen in a way that would motivate him to seek professional help. but let’s not get into that
5. ana lucia SORRY. she kinda sucks so fucking bad and yes she killed my beautiful girl shannon but that was only her fault as much as it’s a gun’s fault when someone uses it to kill someone. so i’ve never blamed her for that it’s just a bad situation which she will notttt be coming out on top of 😐. but i think she’s sooo cool in a woman who sucks way… and her cunty 2000s ass outfit is crazy… the black tank top and low rise bootcut jeans and chunky belt and zip up utility vest…. i’d dress up as her for halloween if i was the kind of person who dressed up for halloween or was willing to buy an ugly belt for a one wear costume. also her plot with sayid rn is soooo good they’re looking at each other just two paranoid FREAKS going. you aren’t crazy. and neither am i. let’s fucking kill these Others. it’s sooooo good… and she never makes the same mistake twice…
6. eko my good friend eko…. he’s so…. he’s just so kind… imagine having the patience and compassion to be nice to charlie right now. woah
7. kate. in her flop era rn and it’s DIRE. but we love her this is the highest i can put her right now i’m sorry girl you just can’t beat out eko and hurley and ana etc when you’re acting like this….
8. rose and bernard <3 soooooo excited for them next episode it’s not even funny… that’s literally rose and bernard….
9. libby. category five obsessed with that freak disease! she took one look at that loser hurley and was like he’s so fucking pathetic and weird. and i want him so bad. and i HAVE to respect her game. she said oh yeah i’m gonna talk him back from suicide and then it’s ON…
10. danielle rousseau… she literally slayed the house down in maternity leave… sorry queen for never including you in these lists before now my bad fr!
11. sun <3 she’s so. your girl friend who deserves way better but she’s so happy with her annoying and unlikeable man you can’t even tell her to dump his ass no matter how bad you want to
12. michael… where tf is michael… i miss him :(
13. new guy. i can’t very well call him henry now can i. wtf is his name… kinda like his pathetic gay swag. but he’s sooo annoying 🙄 and frankly i stand with sayid’s paranoid freak ass… but he’s kinda fun to have around i admit! love how he’s always playing mind games!!
14. locke admittedly has been slaying lately but i still think all his backstory episodes are lame and bad and also. as we say. an enemy of jack’s…
15. jin. he like. swings wildly between me hating him so bad i hope he dies and me thinking he’s soooo interesting and compelling and cool. the whole truth was a crazy episode in this way when it started i was like wow he needs to kill himself. and then by the end i was like woah why is he the most interesting man on lost island…. the way he literally can’t talk to anyone but sun as a physical storytelling metaphor for his closed off nature that prevents him from ever being truly known… wowie!
16. charlie. he’s flopping soooo hard this season. remember when charlie used to be a top five character. that’s crazy
17. sawyer. goes without explanation

do you have any ideas in mind for how swap!evans scrap baby design would look, assuming its different from regular scrap baby? (since yk, its implied(?) they rebuilt themself after getting kicked out of ennard)
oh and how did/do evan and circus baby interact/feel about each other?
-cross
I DREW THIS ASK TODAY AND CANNOT SHARE THE ART BC ITS. ON PAPER. AND I DONT HAVE MY PHONE
But i thought id answer anyways, ill rb with a doodle if i can manage one (maybe in my animation class?)
first of all, he'd not be half as smashed up as liz was. he wanted to be cute and whatever, and his goal is. not killing ppl lmao.
so he goes back and gets a discarded unused circus baby faceplate from the bunker. its old and the faceplates dont move well at all (rusty and stuck together, mostly) but its not horrible. its also cracked a bit but. what can you do?
instead of wires and whatever i think hed want something softer to use for hair so i gave him some sort of fucked up string. its thick and fluffy but falling appart :( poor dude he also got other discarded animatronic concepts that william and henry kept in case they wanted to use them elsewhere. evan still has the claw on one hand but the other is an unnecessarily large paw (he cant exactly remember why at this point, but he loves bears so the paw caught his eye)
his outfit is just cloathes he found in the garbage and therefore doesnt fit well. and his torso is just the usual circus baby torso if not a bit fucked up by all the time itd been left in the bunker. its also cracked and rusty similar to his mask
his feet r just whatever he could find, but those wont even be seen a lot bc hes in the vents so who cares
the big paw is also one of the same as what molten freddy dug up to replace the rubber hose esque hands ennard had (not REALLY rubber hose but meant to look the part yk?)
as for evs relationship w cbby, its complicated. he initially wants nothing to do with the animatronic or possessing it, but when he sees liz he suddenly wants to seize control (hence bouncing between circus baby and evan)
at that time, there was still a pretty clear line between evan and cbby, bc of how hed avoided her n shit in a way bc he cant. he cant leave her lmao but he just didnt try to BE her. still while SL takes place the line does blur between him and cbby.
post scoop he finds mike and tells him about elizabeth and for a while michael keeps him seperate from the other animatronics bc yk, having someone he KNEW was his sibling and who KNEW his identity helped him and michael is the most conscious of everyone. and so he once again was aware of who he was but when michael and the funtimes both dumped him they reallty merged and it became unclear who was who (which lead to his memories getting fucked wehn he was rebuilding himself) and just overall hes weird and Not Evan Anymore. especially because evan being rejected by michael compared to circus baby being abandoned by william and the funtimes and that pain of being thrown to the curb causing anger in both that ended with them having such similar ideas and feelings that they might as well be the same entity
as far as interactions go, they really didnt interact much for a VERY long time and when they did it was quick and uncomfortable. but when evan tried to wrestle control back its started a weird silent relationshi
Circus baby did not want to get rid of him, she didnt entirely know what he was ("I still hear her sometimes" yk?) other than shed killed him and sometimes shed say things she didnt think.
evan didnt like how everything was going with elizabeth, so he wanted to subtly steer her elsewhere. however, between his own bitterness at her leaving him alone and inadvertently causing his death, and circus baby and him becoming one, he eventually began leading her to the scooper.
and evan is a lot more convincing than circus baby was.
its not until he's set free that evan is actually evan again

Anyway informing you that 1. Ur posts are so incredible and good and they're a treasure to see i prommy, and 2. Ur ficlet for dream theory revamp au is taking up rental space in my head. Having silly thoughts about Evan just acting completely dead after he learns the truth about henry. He doesn't play anymore. Doesn't talk. He can't even work up the energy to be Super Nice To Mike So He Doesn't Want To Die Again like he's been doing for all the time Mike has been back. Mike definitely notices, but whether he feels comfortable/capable enough of confronting Evan about it is up in the air. Oooo, or, or maybe Evan leans even *further* into the Be Super Nice To Mike So He Doesn't Want To Die thing bc he's lost Henry and Mike is the only thing Evan has left
AWWW POOR BB
From my perspective (since it's ur au lol):
Mike would be so weirded out by seeing his brother stop playing and talking, but I doubt he'd know what to say. He wouldn't guess that it was about Henry, and, since it wasn't immediately after his attempt, he wouldn't associate those things together, either. He might wonder if something else happened that he didn't know about– William being rougher with Evan since Mike was still healing physically, maybe, or some unrelated problem his anxiety could conjure up– and one thing my Michael will always be is nosy. Like, this is a situation where it's actually somewhat helpful– one should look into it if their little brother shows a clear trauma response, obviously– but he's nosy in every other situation, too.
Rather than ask what's up like a normal person, he'd probably start paying way more attention to Evan (and William, and everyone else Evan interacts with)'s behavior to figure it out. He might try to ask in very roundabout ways if he couldn't find anything elsewhere, but he'd try not to let it look like concern for Evan.
(That's not a conscious decision, or even related to his abuse of Evan or any resentment he might still hold; it's a completely unrelated conditioned response that mostly relates back to the whole incident with William using a dog as a lure and getting pissed when Mike tries to interrupt.)
The first response, Evan losing the will to be extra nice, could be percieved by Mike as either an extension of the trauma response Evan seems to be having that he can't figure out the cause of– which would drive him to investigate further– or as things starting to go back to normal, where Evan has a justified fear of his brother and they don't really talk much.
It would make him sad, though, which he wouldn't be expecting. He might have to examine either the fact that he does need some affection in his life to feel okay– which is typical– or the fact that he might, shocker, actually want to have a decent relationship with his little brother. Both of these things would be a pretty arduous process for him; he's emotionally immature, even for as young as he is, and this sort of thing isn't something he's had any guidance on. He would probably throw himself into something else whilst processing that on the back burner.
The second one– being even nicer– would be more surprising to him, because he's really just not seen that level of nice before? If Evan got too clingy, Mike wouldn't be able to hide his annoyance, and he might snap from time to time, even though he's had half a wake up call at this point about his own behavior– near death experiences make people reevaluate shit a lot, but he's not like. Magically well-adjusted– and doesn't have the energy to be all that terrible at the moment. That being said– even though Mike is really needing a mentor more for this than his little brother's kindness– this is one of the most vulnerable places he's ever been, and, if anyone were to ever successfully find a shortcut to breaking through Mike's defenses by the sheer force of being nice, this would be one of the easier times to try it.
On the bright side, Mike does not struggle with leaning on one person too much, so Evan wouldn't get stuck in a therapist role or anything. Probably the worst case scenario for his response to the second one would be having Mike start to answer any questions candidly, and receiving a bleaker view of the world in response.

Amoreena | Chapter Six
Tumblr media
Chapter Six
main summary: Heaven is a real place and it's located exactly 14.6 miles away from the FBI, Quantico Headquarters. Off behind a small park, under a fantastical willow tree surrounded by wildflowers, in every colour young minds can imagine.
Don't forget, heaven also comes with angels.
Chapter Warnings: slight smut** angst, spencer's overthinking and anxiety, passing out, plot twist, very understanding reader, happy ending, smut implied but not graphic
word count: 6.2K
from the beginning <3
Derek and Savannah planned to come over on Sunday morning to introduce Hank and Amoreena, his namesake and his honorary daughter meeting felt very important to him.
Y/N and he spent the morning cleaning up the house, making sure all the books were away and the coffee was on so when they pulled in at 11 for brunch they’d be ready.
Amoreena was beyond excited at the idea of a 16th cousin, not knowing about Henry or Michael yet either, bringing her total to 18 cousins.
Spencer learned something new about them and the farm every single day he was there. Which he expected, it had been 8 days and he was all but moved in. They joked just that morning about them moving too fast, shrugging it off and living their lives anyway.
Derek and Savannah were one of the sweetest couples Spencer knew. They had a love he admired, it also blossomed fast and stayed strong through everything Derek went through.
Derek was always going to be his rock, someone he loved deeply and cherished more than he could ever explain to anyone. More than a brother, a long-lost lover, a confidant, his best friend in the whole world. If he could live through everything he’s been through and still be happy, so could Spencer.
Amoreena is out the door and meeting them before Y/N and Spencer are even aware they pulled in. “Hey little lady, I’m your uncle Derek,” he can hear Derek’s sweet voice that he only uses with kids.
They walked out onto the porch to see Amoreena shaking both their hands before asking if Savannah needed help carrying her purse. Ever the little helper, she intended on making the best introduction to her new family members.
“Spence, this place is amazing!” Savannah gushed as she pulled him into a hug, and then Y/N, “It’s lovely to meet you.”
“You too! You’re all so pretty, holy cow,” she swoons, “what does the FBI put in the water over there?”
“Whatever it is, I’m sure it’s running off over here too,” Spencer compliments Y/N right back.
Derek gives Y/N the biggest hug he’s ever seen, “you are my new bestie, anyone who loves Reid as much as me is a keeper.”
“I like this one, Savannah you have good taste,” Y/N teases, holding Derek in her embrace.
“We got the best guys the bureau had to offer and stole them away,” she laughed, wrapping an arm around Spencer as they turned to see Hank.
“Well, someone had to put them to good use,” Y/N had an arm wrapped around Derek too, slipping into Spencer’s life effortlessly.
Hank was almost 5, it blew Spencer’s mind to think that Derek had been a father for 5 years now. He was the sweetest little guy, holding Amoreena’s hand as the two of them walked up the stairs.
They had sandwiches and muffins in the garden, everything was homemade and grown on the farm. It was a life Spencer was excited to get used to, they even made their own cheese and wine in the summer for the farmers market.
Every time he learned a new detail about this place it got more perfect.
Hank loved the goats, he crawled right in with Amoreena and sat down in the mud. Petting the babies and letting all the mamma goats nibble at his hat as they got close. He giggled and screamed, petting all of them nicely as Amoreena told him all their names.
Derek was very quick to pick out a cowboy hat and pretend he was southern, trying out his fake accent and making Savannah laugh as they explored the farm, skipping through the fields and kissing in the grass. They were just as in love as Spencer and Y/N, they all got along like couples who have been friends since college.
Like this had been their life all along, nothing about it felt new. It just felt right.
Everything about her fit into his life like she was handcrafted for it, picked and polished before set in a box and hidden away from the world. She was a collector's item and he was a collector, keeping her close and never letting her go. He knew her worth, but the feeling she produced in his heart was better than anything in the world.
Before they know it, it’s almost 3 and Hank is about to fall asleep in the grass as Amoreena reads him a story. Derek and Savanah are laying back on a blanket half-listening as they watch the clouds. Spencer and Y/N doing the same.
It’s wonderful, he makes eye contact with Derek while running his fingers through Y/N’s hair. He just smiles at Spencer, prouder he can even express.
“I think it’s about time we head out,” Derek cuts into the peacefulness of their day.
“We’ll be back, and often,” Savannah laughs, “I’m going to hide here from the hospital, you don’t have service right?”
“Not if you turn it off and leave it in the car,” Y/N laughed too, pulling Savannah into a hug and walking with her towards the house. Best friends in the making, it was going to be trouble for him and Derek, exciting, but frightful at the same time.
Savannah excuses herself to the bathroom before they leave, Spencer offers to help Derek carry his tired little toddler to the car so they can talk. He was excited to hear Derek's thoughts about the day, proud of the life he could introduce them to.
“Can I ask you a serious question?” Derek finally cut into their quiet walk to the car with a very serious tone.
“Sure,” Spencer nodded vigorously, a little nervous.
“Do you remember when we lost that bet in 2008?” Derek started, “JJ and Emily were saying it wasn’t fair, that we were hogging all the sexiness and smarts and we should just donate sperm to help the population?”
“Yeah?”
“Did you actually do it?” Derek watches Spencer’s mind wandering as he recalls everything.
He has donated sperm twice in his life, keeping it between him and Derek the first time, telling no one about it the second time. The first was when JJ got pregnant with Henry, teasing him that he should make more geniuses in the world. Emily was even considering having a baby on her own back then before everything with Doyle went down.
The second time was after Maeve died in 2013 when he realized that he might not ever get to actually be a dad.
Donating again purely in the hopes that in 18 years someone would find him in search of a connection with their birth father. It seemed like the only way he’d be able to be a father one day, and that was right around the time Amoreena would have been conceived if she’s 7 now.
Spencer looks at him with wide eyes, “you think she’s mine?”
“Without a doubt,” he whispers, stopping to put Hank in his car seat and give Spencer some time to panic.
“She’s not mine,” Spencer keeps shaking his head, so hard that Derek is worried it might fall off as he panics, “she can’t be, that would be insane. No way, no I’m not even going to pretend she is. Nope.”
Derek places his hand on Spencer’s shoulder to calm him, “do you know who her father is?”
“No,” he whispers as he closes his eyes, pushing his hair out of his eyes. “She tells people that Amoreena is her fiancé Stephens, no one really questions that she had her 2 years after he died, but Y/N doesn’t even know who her father is.”
“That’s a serious conversation you need to have with her, regardless, she deserves to know you’ve possibly got other geniuses walking around out there.”
Spencer felt his anxiety dump adrenaline into his blood, making him sweat and panic as he turned around in circles a few times. He looked physically drained, not know what the fuck to do moving forward.
“I can’t go talk to her right now while Amoreena is there,” Spencer panicked as Derek finally closed the door, Hank was all situated and ready to go.
“I can bring you home?” Derek offered, “go get your things and tell her that you have to go.”
“Okay,” he whispered, trying to calm down enough to face her.
Walking back up to her house felt like it took forever, even passing savannah as he all but ran, stepping inside the house to see Amoreena reading on the couch while Y/N was in the kitchen, whistling happily, waiting for him to come back.
Amoreena looked up at him with a smile, “are you okay?”
“Oh yeah, I’m fine,” he lied with a fake smile. “I actually have to go, Derek needs help with something at his place and Ill be back later for dinner, okay?”
“Awe,” Y/N’s voice travelled from the kitchen to where he was, she walked into the room with an apron on and a towel in her hands. “I was hoping you’d help me make a pie.”
“I’m sorry, hun, I’ll be back soon,” he assured her, “I love you guys.”
“Love you, Dad,” Amoreena smiled, before returning to her book.
Every time she called him dad it made his heart stop, but that one made his breathing stop too, he struggled to swallow as he turned his attention to Y/N approaching him.
Y/N gave him a big hug and then he was gone, running down the driveway and hopping in Derek's car as fast as he could. Still overthinking everything, his mind memorizing every look on Amoreena’s face and trying to see if there was any proof in her being his.
There was a lot. He didn’t want to get his hopes up, he didn’t want to think about that at all. She was his regardless, no DNA test would change how he loved her. He was more afraid of Y/N’s reaction to finding out.
Savannah didn’t ask what was going on, leaving him and Derek to be as weird and cryptic as they always were together. Looking out the window quietly as Spencer had a panic attack in the back seat.
He convinced Derek to drop him off at the clinic where he donated the sperm both times. Still absolutely pissed off with himself that one of the biggest decisions of his life was the one he forgot about, wanting to know if he could find out anything about his potential offspring.
“Sir, I’m so sorry,” the nice receptionist tried her best to stay calm as Spencer rushed through his dilemma.
“Only a child can learn who their father was when they turn 18, if they choose to contact you it’s up to them. You agreed to that when you donated.”
“You can’t even tell me how many kids I have out there?” He tried to reason with her, “I’m in the FBI surely you can make an exception for me it’s not like I'm going to stalk the kids, I just want to know if one’s going to contact me one day,” he tried everything to get her to open up.
“What’s your name?”
“Spencer Reid.”
She stood and walked into the back, opening a cabinet full of records and pulling one out. She opened it, running a finger along with the document as she read it over.
“You have four offspring so far, none of the other samples used have produced a child, the women were all IVF as well so it wasn’t your swimmer's fault; if you wanted to donate again,” she read him all the facts and somehow it just made him panic more.
Y/N’s voice echoing in his mind, “after I did IVF.” She said those words. He heard them. She didn’t know the father. His name wasn't on the sample. It was anonymous. Everything caught up to him at that moment.
“Thank you,” he whispered, white as a ghost as he tried to turn away, dropping to the floor and passing out instead.
When he woke up, he was somehow back in Derek’s car on the way back to his apartment. Hank and Savannah nowhere to be seen, the radio on low as Derek paid attention to the road. It was quiet, he didn’t even know Spencer was awake again until he sighed.
He didn’t say anything to Derek, instead, taking out his phone and texting Y/N.
Spencer: Hey, something serious came up. I won't be able to come back till after bedtime and then I need to tell you something important that might make you very mad at me.
Y/N: you’re going to make me go grey being this ominous
Spencer: I’m sorry, but it’s going to be a lot to explain.
Y/N: should I get wine or something harder ready to listen?
Spencer: Honestly, I’m not even sure yet.
Y/N: cant wait… love you?
Spencer: I love you too, don’t forget that!
Y/N: as long as you don’t either ♥︎
He pulled up to Y/N’s house at 9:30, knowing that Amoreena would be well asleep by then. Unbothered by any crying or yelling that could arise from the news he had to share with her mother.
He was terrified to tell her but he needed to. Relationships only work with communication and he knew that, respecting her and loving her enough to do anything in his power to keep her in his life.
He walked inside to see the lights all off, heading around the back of the house to see her in the garden with a drink, surrounded by little lights twinkling as she listened to her favourite Taylor Swift album, he wasn’t shocked in the slightest to find her like that.
“Hey,” he announced himself to her so she wouldn’t be startled.
Her smile warms his heart and clears the butterflies from his stomach for a quick moment, “hey cutie, did you want me to warm up some dinner for you?”
“No thank you,” he shook his head softly, standing by the gate and not wanting to get too close. “I need to tell you something and you might get really mad at me.”
“Alright,” she sat up straighter, hands on her knees as she played with the material of her jeans.
“I donated sperm as a joke in 2008, but then again in January of 2013 when my girlfriend died because I thought it would be the only way to maybe have a kid find me one day when they turned 18. I never thought I’d get to have a family after Maeve died,” the words fell out of his mouth and onto the patio.
“Oh my god,” was all she said, eyes wide and mouth open, she was completely still.
“I went to the clinic and they won't tell me who my kids are, apparently there are four of them so I have no idea if it’s Amoreena or not and I’m just so sorry for not telling you. I honestly forgot, and I don’t normally forget. After everything that’s happened to me, I just forgot, I’m sure it looks like I found you on purpose or something but I assure you that I didn’t,” he wasn’t sure why he was just dumping all these thoughts on her when he hadn’t even thought them through, but they wouldn’t stop.
“There’s only one way to find out,” she shrugged then, smiling at his confused face. “We have more and see if they look like her.”
“You’re kidding?”
“No,” she shook her head, “I’d never joke about making another Amoreena, that would be amazing.”
“You’re not mad?” He blinked at her a few times, wondering if he heard her wrong, twice.
“Why would I be mad at the fact that you might be her real father and the reason she’s the smartest person on earth? She’s literal walking sunshine, am I supposed to be mad you could give her fully biological siblings? I wanted your babies even if she wasn’t yours,” Y/N paused, eyebrows raised as she made her point.
“If I’m supposed to be mad about you completing our family then I’m furious,” she laughed as she stood up, walking over to wrap her arms around him.
“Even if you’re not her father, you’re always going to be her dad,” she whispered as she reached him.
He looked down into her eyes, the most beautiful and caring woman in the world, cuddled into his chest in the middle of paradise. He couldn’t help but laugh, it was insane how easy it was to love her.
“I love you,” he reminded her.
She pulled him down into a kiss, holding her hand on his cheek lightly as he pressed his lips to hers. She rested her forehead on his as they parted, “I love you more.”
“Doubt it,” he teased her with a smile, pulling her in closer and lifting her up into his arms.
“Where are we going?” She giggled.
“Where would you like to go, Princess? This is your kingdom after all.”
The biggest, most suspicious grin appeared on her face then, “put me down,” she instructed and he followed. Setting her down and feeling her grab his hand instead.
She led him inside the house and up the stairs, placing her finger over her lip to let him know to be quiet. She pulled him inside her bedroom for the first time and he was absolutely mesmerized.
It was like a jungle of books in there, pictures of her and Amoreena all over the walls and the cutest mushroom bedsheets in the world. It was like he walked into her mind, it was calming and beautiful and just what he imagined.
Peaceful.
“We’re not staying in here,” she whispered towards him, pulling him into the closet.
She pulls out 2 black garment bags and places them on the bed before looking through her jewellery box. She brings back a small velvet box and places it in his hands.
“Would you want to do something insane with me?”
“Always,” he can’t help but smile.
“My grandma always wanted Stephen to propose to me with that ring, but he used his own mothers instead,” she whispered. “I don’t want to have an official thing, I already planned one wedding and never got to have it.”
“Okay?” He tried his best to follow along, analyzing her facial expressions to see just how nervous she was, as well as the underlying sadness of time missed. Just like she had mentioned that first night he stayed here.
“I had my grandma’s dress tailored to wear at my wedding, I’ve never put the final version on,” she unzips the one bag, revealing a silk white dress with an incredibly long train.
“My grandpa's suit is in the other one, I think you will fit into it,” she reaches out a hand to pull him closer to the bed and look at it with her. “I just want to put them on and tell you I love you in the field and just call you my husband. I don’t give a single shit that it’s been a week, why should I wait a year to call you that when I can start now?”
He doesn’t know what to say, he’s speechless for too long and he knows that it’s making her anxious but he can’t speak. His eyes turn glossy and his hands shake as he holds the small box in his hands, opening it to find a beautiful ruby on a gold band, surrounded by small diamonds, alongside her grandfather's gold band.
He gets down on one knee then and she pulls him right back up to his feet, shaking her head. “It can’t be like last time, I don’t want to repeat a single part of it. I can’t lose you too.”
“You never will,” he’s finally able to speak. “I’m not going anywhere, believe me, you are the most important person in my life. I would drop everything and hide here forever to keep safe, if you wanted me to, I’m too in love with you to go anywhere.”
She smiles at him with wide eyes and the glimmer of hope returning. She picks up her dress and heads to the bathroom door, “put the suit on and meet me downstairs?”
“Yes Ma’am,” he winks at her before taking the suit down the hall to his room.
He notices the wedding photo on the night table again, taking the suit out of the bag to see nothing really changed since the last time it was worn. Her grandfather was tall and skinny like him when they got married, so he fits into the 1950’s suit almost perfectly.
He straightened everything out in the mirror, making sure he tucked the ring box back into his pocket before quietly tiptoeing back down the creaky wooden steps.
Y/N wasn’t done yet, he could hear her walking around in her room softly as she paced from her dresser to the bathroom over and over, most likely trying to find something in her jewellery box and looking in the mirror more than once. She didn’t sound nervous, her feet weren’t hesitant, she sounded like a woman on a mission, that was a good thing.
He was the nervous one, scared out of his mind with the fear he wouldn’t do this right. That she had dreams, plans and expectations he needed to live up to and what if he couldn’t? He put his face in his hands and tried his best to push all the fears away but they kept swirling. Making his brain hurt, he didn’t want to fuck anything up with her. She was already so understanding and wonderful, she’d given so much to him already he can’t fuck this up—
And then she’s walking down the stairs. Like sunshine; parting the grey skies as the thunder clouds dissipate and the rain washes down the streets, he’s fine again.
“You look beautiful,” he whispers.
Her smile was priceless, “thanks, cutie, I’m so glad it fits you!”
He followed her towards the kitchen where she picked up the phone, dialled a number and waited, “hey mom.”
“Spencer and I are going on a late-night walk, outback, yeah, Amoreena is asleep, can you just keep an eye on the house? I’m going to let Rufus in to keep guard anyway,” Y/N explained over the phone, agreeing and humming to whatever her mother said in response. “love you too, thanks."
She let the dog in like she said she would, handing the overly friendly golden retriever a treat before finally pulling Spencer outside and towards the barn.
They were both in running shoes, it was incredibly adorable for the occasion and he wouldn’t have it any other way. Her hand was so soft as she tugged him along behind her, her dress and hair blowing in the wind as they walked.
She grabbed an old kerosene lantern from the barn, lighting it quickly and holding it by the handle, “you ready?”
“I am,” he smiled softly, still anxious in his core, more so now because he was overly excited to be spending the rest of his life with her.
They continued to walk down past the barn, through the cow pasture and finally entering a clearing. It was full of lilacs and ragweed, yellows and purples blowing ever so gently back and forth under the moonlight.
“This is where my grandparents would read to me, and where they renewed their vows when I was 14, and this is where I got the call that I was pregnant with Amoreena. It’s a very special place to me,” her voice was barely a whisper.
Spencer took the lantern from her and placed it in the grass, it illuminated the both of them just enough that they could see each other's faces and know exactly how much they loved each other without even having to say any words.
“Are you sure you want to do this?” Spencer’s words were careful, he didn’t want her to think he didn’t either.
She nodded softly, “I loved Stephen very much, I don’t think I’ll ever stop, but I loved him enough to know he’d want me to be happy, he’d really like you and don’t tell him this but I think I love you more than I ever loved him,” she made light of a very heavy subject.
Smiling at him like he was the world, he fully believed her. “I thought Maeve as it for me too before she died, I was so, so wrong. Every day I discover a new level of love for you I didn’t think possible the day before, I never want to stop searching for how deep my love for you goes.”
“To new adventures,” she whispered.
“And happy endings,” he replied, remembering the conversation they had about the Disney characters they loved the most just yesterday morning.
He removed the box from his pocket, opening it and taking her ring out of the fabric. The tiny diamonds around the ruby sparked in the light, shining little rainbows over their faces as they smiled at each other once again, cheeks aching from all the happiness.
“What finger do you want to wear it on? Seeing as we’re doing this our way,” he compromised for her very easily.
“The middle one on my left hand, you?” She asked as she took his ring out as well.
“The ring finger,” he whispered. “I want you to be close to my heart forever.”
“Okay,” she whispered back, pushing the ring onto his finger first before placing her hand in his, waiting for his hands to stop shaking so he could put it on her.
He pushed it right back towards the knuckle, holding her hand in his after and just staring at the ring. He just married the woman of his dreams.
“Holy shit,” he whispered to himself, making her laugh.
“What?”
A tear trickled down his cheek as he tried to smile at her, his jaw wobbling as he tried to stay calm but he couldn’t, he let himself cry softly as she cupped his face with her free hand.
“I love you too, Spencer,” is all she said, pressing her lips to his, finally.
He held her there in his embrace, lips touching as they breathed each other in. The smell of the field and the flowers that were once so strong in his nose, now he only smells her perfume, he almost forgets where he is as they kiss. The world could have stopped and he wouldn’t have ever known, too caught up on loving her.
He doesn’t pull away when the kiss breaks, instead, resting their foreheads together as they breathed.
“I’m going to love you until the day I die.”
She brushes their noses together softly as if to agree, “give me at least 40 years with you, and then I’ll meet you in heaven?”
“We’re already here,” he whispers, “you and Amoreena are my angels.”
They kissed again, just as soft and perfect as before. She smiled at the end, pulling back and taking her cellphone out of the dress pocket that he didn’t even know was there.
She set it on the fence post that separated the cows from the field, making sure it was steady and setting a timer. She rushed to Spencer and pulled him back into the same kiss, letting the phone take a burst of photos for them to remember later on.
“Pick a song,” he whispered into the moment, seeing her face scrunch as she became confused. “We need a first dance, I know your grandparents had to have danced out here at least once if she loved music as much as you say she did.”
“I love you,” is all she can say as she beams a smile at him. Skipping over to her phone and doing just as he asked.
“I need a piece of Amoreena in this moment,” she explained her song choice, making him think it would be the Elton John song, but it wasn’t.
A beautiful piano balled played before he heard the all too familiar voice of Taylor Swift, the girl's favourite. “Seven, because that’s how many years it took for us to find you.”
He takes her hand again, twirling her around before pulling her body into his. The both of them holding on tight as they swayed to the song, it fit every single aspect of his love for her to a T. Like it was Taylor made for them.
“Sweet tea in the summer Cross your heart, won't tell no other And though I can't recall your face I still got love for you Your braids make a pattern Love you to the Moon and to Saturn Passed down like folk songs The love lasts so long,”
It was so unbelievable. She had mentioned the love she felt for Stephen, he mentioned his love for Maeve, both of their faces hard to bring to memory as they fell in love with each other. A new feeling, a happier love, a long-lasting one that wasn’t nearly as flimsy. Powerful and strong like the earth's gravitational pull, he was never leaving her.
She’s singing the words ever so softly beside his ear, her voice is softer than Taylor’s and his favourite thing he’s heard all night, but he’d never tell her that.
They kiss randomly throughout their dance, listening to more songs as they swayed in the evening breeze. The cows coming to the fence to see what was happening, they twirled and dipped and jumped with each other, it was perfect.
She pulls him in for another kiss and she is all giggles, high from the dopamine and serotonin rush they were both on. Like someone injected sugar right into his veins, he was unbelievably sweet on her.
“We’re you serious?” Spencer whispered against her lips before she can pull back any further and disrupt the courage he felt.
“About what? I’ve said a lot tonight,” she teased him gently.
“About having more kids?” His voice is low and his eyes can’t meet hers as he prays she was being honest.
She nods softly, “never been more certain, actually, I would have 10 more of your kids if they’re all as perfect as our Amoreena.”
Our.
He tilts his head to the side and presses his lips together in a tight smile, he lost all control of his tears a while back, feeling them slip down his cheeks as he took everything in. She had given him everything and then some.
“How are you this perfect? It’s been 8 days since I laid eyes on you and you’ve managed to make every single dream come true, while simultaneously creating new dreams I never imagined I’d be allowed to have. You’re the best thing that has ever happened in the world Y/N, I’m so incredibly in love with you I could scream right now,” he is more passionate than he plans to be, she stares at him with more lust than happiness this time.
“Prove it and make love to me, you said you’d rather fuck me at home. Well,” she kept teasing him opening her arms and twirling around as she showed off the farm. “This is your home now, husband.”
“Where should we go?” He felt adventurous, willing to take her against the fence if the cows wouldn’t eat her hair, the thought alone making him giggle to himself.
“What?” She can't help but giggle right back.
“I thought about fucking you against the fence for a hot second and then the intrusive thoughts kicked in and I thought about the cows eating your hair,” he admitted with a fierce laugh.
“I love you so much,” she shook her head and sighed, the same way she did at the museum when Amoreena made her laugh.
That was all the proof he needed. Never would he question how she felt, if she loved him half as much as she loved Amoreena then he was blessed by far. This was over the top.
He picked up the lantern then, handing it to her as well as her phone before picking her up bridal style and attempting to carry her back to the house. He made it to the barn before she begged him to put her down, wanting to skip the rest of the way with him.
Giddy as all hell, the two of them snuck back into her house. Rufus, the best guard dog in the world, was passed out on the couch and didn’t even move as they walked in. Locking the doors and windows for the night before tiptoeing up the stairs again.
Luckily, Amoreena’s room was on the opposite side of the house from Spencers. Y/N pulled him down the hall and inside the room, lightly closing the door before leaning back against it and sighing.
“Are you sure? I never asked you what you wanted,” Y/N whispered.
Spencer just shook his head and slipped out of his suit jacket. “All I want is to have a big happy family with you, where ever that takes us, I’m up for the adventure.”
Y/N was the one who teared up this time, looking away from Spencer and at her grandparent's wedding photo on the side table. She walked past Spencer, brushing her hand against his arm as she did so, picking up the photo and kissing it softly.
She turned it face down and turned back to Spencer, “help me with the zipper?”
He nodded, silently stepping forward and brushing her hair off her back, freeing her from the dress. He pressed his lips gently to her sun-kissed shoulders, surprised by the array of freckles, kissing the pattern they made on her skin as she let the dress slip to the floor.
He wrapped his arms around her, hugging her from behind as he continued to kiss her neck and shoulder. She hummed into the feeling, tilting her head to the side so he had more room to explore, her hands cover Spencers as she felt up his arms, still in his embrace.
She had the softest skin on earth, he could spend the next 14 hours kissing every square inch of her. It was all perfect and he wanted her to know it, “get on the bed,” he whispered in her ear as he pulled away.
He picked her dress up off the floor and put it on a hanger from the shirt he had on. She watched with soft eyes as he hung it on the back of the bathroom door, keeping it safe and taken care of while they became a married couple.
He slipped out of the tie and started unbuttoning his shirt, she laid back against the covers, pulling her grandma's quilt off and folding it at the end of the bed. She laid back and waited as he slipped his pants to the ground and finally joined her once again.
She met him halfway for a kiss, holding his face as he knelt between her spread legs, she leaned back and took him with her. He hovered then, barely touching her as she leaned forward to keep kissing him, eventually wrapping her arms around his back and pulling him down.
Skin to skin for the first time ever.
It’s slow and explorative, they take their time as they enjoy every single inch of each other's bodies. She’s soft and perfect, she fits in the palm of his hand like he’s always been holding her. Moulded for her and her alone.
He’s never made love before. Sure, he’s had sex but never in his life has it felt like this… no, this was perfect. It was everything he’s ever dreamed of and then some. Her kisses felt like dreams coming true, her touch so light it was like sunshine on a hot day, just dancing over him.
It was perfect.
He brushed her hair behind her ear, still inside her, as he took a moment to just look at her. Her eyes were hypnotic, he was so dawn into her it was like she controlled him. He kissed her gently on the forehead, “I love you,” he reminded her, for the millionth time that hour.
She pulled him in closer, breathing against his neck gently as they continued. Her nails on his back were amazing, he felt the sharp pain of her grip which only excited him more, fastening his pace, both his hips and where his thumb was pleasuring her between their bodies.
She looked like she was floating, relaxed as she laid against the sheets, blissed-out while she took it all in, panting airy nonsense as she got closer and closer.
She was quiet, they both were. It was silent as possible while they made love for the first time ever. She was everything in the world to him and then some, he couldn’t believe she was real as they both finished and managed to somehow get closer to each other.
Another level of love was just unlocked in his heart, he was never going to stop loving her. That would be the only impossible known to man.

Are there any other worldbuilding posts of Wilbur's journal writing? I genuinely can't remember rn ahg.
What would his journal be filled with? Would the first few pages be just. blank- like how those secret diaries are like?
Would he have an introduction page about who he was, who his family was? Just general background stuff first before telling whoever is reading it that the journal is going to be used to document all the forest weirdness?
And would it start documenting all the stuff about creatures, plants, giants, and Ranboo? OGHghh, would he have little feathers and plants taped to the pages?
I like to imagine his journal is one of those worn-out looking ones with the thetheuhhhh really smooth brown cover w/ the straps that wrap around it a million times bghfs. The type of cover that is really smooth and cool to the touch. Leathery-like, I guess? Dunno, I was never one to remember that stuff.
Maybe the pages look as if they've dried from being wet so they have that inconstant waviness at the ends of the pages. And they have that weird beige colour too.
Maybe he has that really messy yet pretty writing style (I have no idea what cc!Wilbur's handwriting looks like oop-) anD there those really cute doodles on the sides of the pages. They're really bad at first but then you can see them get better and more detailed over time ahghKGhhsf. It starts off as small stick doodles before turning into that cartoony look and finally just gets pretty realistic.
I just. have a lotta feelings and I may have dumped them all without thinking in a cohesive thought process bghghfkfsfbbHGKSdhf-
Tumblr media
YES YES YES WEND MY BELOVED AHHHH (and don’t worry I love this so much💙)
So far there are only two entries a submission and then one I wrote to go with it :]
Wilbur’s Journal Submission
My Wilbur’s Journal Entry
The first few pages are doodles or lyrics just so that it doesn’t seem suspicious. He didn’t really think anyone would go through it anyway since he’d been into journaling since his mother gave him one for his birthday. Just in case though, the first ten pages are filled with non-forest related things like music, doodles, Niki’s recipes, his schedule etc.
You’re very right his journal is very worn out! It’s come with him on every trip to the forest so it’s been dropped in mud, thrown in the river, drawn on by Michael, covered in rain, and is absolutely covered in fur from Henry. It started off as a nice dark brown leather journal but now it’s much lighter from the constant use. You can also tell how he holds it because there are small wrinkles in the leather where his fingers go. And he absolutely has the fancy straps, he loves having nice looking journals and he refuses to have anything ‘basic’.
I really love the idea of the doodles on the pages :”] They start really bad but eventually he has fully detailed drawings of Ranboo, Michael, and Henry in his book. Like they’re so good that they might as well be scientific drawings of his friends. He also throws in random sketches of his friends or family whenever he can’t sleep.
Occasionally he lets Michael doodle on some of the pages so there are small little drawings of them together from the piglin. His writing isn’t super fancy, but it is like the really messy cursive writing that just looks really cool.
I LOVE THE SCENT STUFF!! I also would like to add that it smells very salty from the fish that Ranboo eats :]

To Tommyinnit!
Hello, I’m Ghostbur! I was missing you a lot today, so I wrote this letter! You can’t read it right now, and I do hope you won’t get to read it for a long, long time, but they say writing your feelings down is a good way to think. I haven’t written many letters, but I think I should start by saying I’m sorry. It was very rude of me to leave without saying goodbye. It wasn’t on purpose! But I am still sorry. I know you said you didn’t want Alivebur to come back, but I know you care about him. I hope the resurrection worked and you two are getting along again. I hope it turned out okay for you.
Things turned out better than expected for me! I thought if Alivebur got resurrected, I’d disappear into the void and be alone forever, or that I might just stop existing all together. I was really, really scared Tommy. And for a little bit, I could feel myself falling into the void. But someone caught me.
Did you know Philza Minecraft’s wife is Death? I’m not sure why, but I could have sworn his wife was a refrigerator! I like her much better this way, though. Mumza is a very nice lady and she took me to her home! Its very nice here. She has a big library full of stories, and she says I’m good at music, and there are birds everywhere. She treats me like family, but she doesn’t call me Wil. She says I’m my own person. Its taken getting used to, but I think I like it.
I still miss you, and Philza, and Technoblade and Friend and everyone. I still dream about L’Manberg. Even though this is my home now, I still get homesick for the old times. Mumza says I’ll see you all again someday, but since she’s Death I think maybe she’s talking about when you all die. Don’t rush for me! I can wait, and when you do finally come, we can share so many stories. I hope you find that happy ever after you deserve.
PS. Take care of Friend for me! :)
Love, Ghostbur!
Dear Ghostbur,
So this is pretty stupid because I know you’ll never get this letter (considering you’re dead and shit) but Puffy told me that sometimes writing out my feelings is better than speaking them. I’ve never really been good at speaking (or writing) things so I thought I’d give it a go because I’m the best.
I’m sorry I got you ki
I feel gui
I want to thank you, man. For everything. I don’t want to get sappy because Tubbo might find it or something and I think I would rather blow up a country (sorry not sorry) than him read this but you were kind of there for me when nobody else was. In exile, even if you fucked off halfway through but that actually wasn’t your fault and I don’t really hold it against you. When I got out of prison. When I was alone. When I thought I had nobody. You can tell I’ve been to therapy because I’m being open and honest about my feelings which isn’t exactly something I’d done before coz Wilbur and Philza are shit at feelings and never open up about anything (which actually makes me better than them because I’m at therapy and they’re not. Sucks to be them. They’re dumb.)
But yeah. Thank you for being there for me. Thank you for sticking by me even when I was horrible to you a lot of the time sometimes. You were a lot nicer to me than Wilbur was, and I think I took a lot of my feelings towards him out on you at times, which was a bit shit of me. He’s still dead, by the way. I thought maybe when you died, he’d come back, and I was really scared not really sure what to think if he did. But he didn’t, so now I’m just kind of brotherless. Which is fine, you know, brothers fuck off every so often, but it was lonely for a while.
I’m not alone anymore, though. There’s this kid - her name is Henry (yes like the cow, fuck off) - and she’s kind of mine? Now I’M like the big brother which is fucking weird, but she’s cool. You would have liked her, I think. Her favourite colour is blue, and she has a toy sheep that she calls Buddy (think she got that from you, though I have no idea how). Puffy told me to tell you that I’m happy because she was trying to ask me what you’d say if I told you that, but I told her I didn’t think you’d say anything. I think you’d’ve hugged me, and I think you would’ve cried, even though crying hurts you, but it would’ve been happy tears.
It’s nice not being alone. I hope you’re not alone, wherever you are. You won’t be alone for too long - I’ll be coming up before you know it, I mean, fucking hell, I’m twenty now. I think. (I still don’t know when my birthday is actually but Philza Minecraft says I’m twenty and he’s never wrong), but I hope maybe someone is with you. Maybe Wilbur? I dunno how well you’d both get on, but I think even someone is better than no one.
Fuck me, man, this is so rambly. This is the first time I’ve spoken about you properly to anyone. Well. I guess I’m technically just speaking to myself, actually. But maybe one day when I die when I’m old like Philza you’ll see this and then you’ll think I’ve gone all soft (WHICH I’VE NOT BY THE WAY). But I just wanted to let you know that I think I’ve got my happy ending, even after fucking everything over the past few years. I think I’m finally happy. I have a family, a proper family, and I have my friends, and the server is at peace.
If you see Dream by the way, tell him I
Hope you’re having a good time in Heaven, big man. I mean. If you got into Heaven. Coz if you didn’t and you’re in Hell then I’ve got no fucking chance. And I don’t fancy the big flaming ground pit
Does Heaven even exist?
Getting all existential again holy shit.
Anyways. I’m going for dinner at Tubbo’s (WHO HAS A KID TOO CALLED MICHAEL) and Henry’s coming in from school (we finally have a fucking education system in this place) so I’m going to leave it here. Cheers again for everything, seriously. I’m sorry things ended the way they did, and I hope you get peace, because if anyone deserves it, it’s you.
Thank you for being my brother when I needed one the most
Miss you a lot
TOMMY. (AKA Big Man, AKA Big T, AKA Biggest T.)

genuine question. what the heck happens with FNAF after 4? what order are we supposed to play the games in/read the spinoffs for after that? is there anyone who makes lore summaries for the series that isn't Mattison Pattison?
You came to the right man. Explanation below
Order
G: 1, 2, 3, 4
B: The Silver Eyes, The Twisted Ones
G: Sister Location, Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Sim, Ultimate Custom Night, HELP WANTED, then the AR one I haven’t played or seen yet.
Alright, so. Scott Cawthon has said before that the first 4 games are kinda meant to be their own story, with the other tie in stuff coming in as another whole thing. The first books, The Silver Eyes and Twisted Ones and the other one, are like... a canon AU, with the first 2 books sticking very closely to the first 4 games. Same general events, just... shifted around a bit. Some of the stuff in it shows up in later games and here’s the parts that matter
1.) The Killer, the Purple Guy, has a name now. His name is William Afton. He’s a mess and I love him. Used to be a kinda jolly chunky guy who co-owned Freddy’s, killed kids, almost got found out but got away with it, comes back into town years later with a fake identity looking all skin and bones to... be a security guard at a mall, and I guess go into Freddy’s every few nights to just taunt the animatronics? He does a funny bunny dance. Also he’s obsessed with his co-owner, and wrote rambling diaries about him. Also he killed that co-owner’s daughter but shhhhhhhhhhhhhh
2. That Co-Owner, Henry. He’s... sad. His daughter is dead and he’s sad. Book Henry does some real weird stuff about it in book land, but, that doesn’t matter. Just know, Henry is Really Sad, doesn’t like that Will killed his daughter and also 5 other kids, and is not feeling the best right now.
3. Henry’s daughter, Charlotte, or Charlie! I... like her book version. But I’m not even touching that stuff and how she’s a character while being killed when she was, like, 3. Game canon, she’s dead puppet kid, that’s all that matters.
4. The Nightmares from 4 were just weird, kinda-hallucinations. If the kid had shot them with Gun it’d have been fine. The twisted ones are just alternate nightmare animatronics and they follow the Gun Rule so I assume that applies too.
5. If you know anything about Book Michael, ANYTHING at ALL, just forget it. There’s too many Michael’s and Mikes in this series, we don’t need the dead 7 year old getting mixed up in there.
So, that’s the two books that matter, and the one that doesn’t, boiled down to their essentials. Onto the games.
Sister location is next. It’s a stunning game, if you at all feel like you’d enjoy watching it, do it! But, the PLOT!
William Afton killed a kid Remotely with Robot, but accidentally killed his daughter Elizabeth! Oops! Years later, his son, Michael Afton, goes down to the storage area that the robots that his dead kid sister is possessing are being housed and tries to put her spirit back together... somehow, I think.
Anyways, Lizzy is smart, and puts herself back together by mashing all the animatronics together into a spaghetti thing called Ennard, but doesn’t have the best eyesight as an animatronic.
So, she mistakes Michael, her brother, for her Murder Dad, and scoops out his internal organs, crawls inside his boy, and walks out of the facility wearing her brother’s corpse like a skin suit. So, Ennard’s existence is an “innard” pun.
At some point, corpse rots, Lizzy and Animatronic Co vomit themselves out of his body and into a sewer to become a Sewer Spaghetti Animatronic. Michael picks up his Boneless Body and walks home, Somehow Still Present In His Rotting Corpse, and gets so mad at his dad over it that he spends 5 nights at each Freddy’s trying to hunt his dad down and chew him a new one for Everything He’s Done.
Elizabeth gets kicked out of Body Spaghetti, builds herself a better Baby animatronic, and also becomes a punk rock goth teen. Michael, meanwhile, finds his dad at Fazbear’s Fright from 3 and torches the place to kill him, but that sadly doesn’t work. Michael doesn’t know that though, so thinking he should get a nice, relaxing reward for a job well done, invests all his Corpse Money into staring a Freddy’s franchise of his own.
Enter, Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Sim. Also idk if I mentioned it yet but this series takes place in Utah (at least according to book land), but the Aftons are all very posh british accent wise, and you need to know that.
So, LONG STORY SHORT. Henry, that co-owner from the original Freddy’s in the books that never showed up in a game before? He’s here now. Basically, Henry put up ads for making a new Freddy’s, knowing Michael would be the only person reckless/dumb/brave/indifferent enough to sign up, and simulated a fake pizzeria filled with fake children, to attract all the remaining animatronics (who want to really murder those fake kids) to it, so Henry Could Finally Finish This, for once and for all.
As Michael designs his dream pizzeria from his little office in the vents, Baby, Spaghetti Ennard that is now 100% Funtime Freddy (aka best freddy) Controlled, Springtrap (now Feral and called Scraptrap), and this Cool New Guy Called Lefty show up to much on those kids! Lefty is... well, it’s Henry forcing the puppet, his daughter, into a Beartrap. A Bear Suit trap. So, animatronic-inception.
Once they all get there, if you learn all the secrets from the creepy attractions, Henry decides to call the series quits, and sets literally everyone, you included, on fire. Also himself, he was in the vents too. He tells Will to go to hell, then lets you all peace out in the flames together, like One Big Happy Afton Family + the man your dad was obsessed with for years and his kid + a screaming bear
And then Ultimate Custom Night. it’s just William Afton in hell. He’s not like, alive or anything. No. He’s just dead, in hell, and suffering.  There’s not that much plot tbh. It’s just hell. It’s a nice hell.
The Vr game, Help wanted, is... i really don’t know what the whole plot consensus is on this one yet? You Play Game, but Uh Oh, William Afton cursed a floppy disk and now he’s in game in fursona ai form trying to take over your mind so he can do more murder. He succeeds with one lady called Vanny, and like, idk much from there. I like the art of him acting as like, a sleepover-delirious best friend to Vanny though. Also Vanny is also a furry. Her fursona is white rabbit.
I have to stop it there because i can and will ramble about this for forever. If you want I can ramble for longer if need be. Let me know if the need is be.

Tumblr media
Well, there's a new Justice League coming out and it's got me thinking about the DCEU movies that have come before it and Tiermaker is my new favorite way to waste time online so I decided to rank the movies. My opinions of some of these have changed over time, probably BvS being the biggest example, but just running them down:
Birds of Prey: The pinnacle. A movie I would recommend even to non comic book/superhero fans. Just a great movie.
Aquaman: A movie I absolutely adore. You know, a lot of superhero movies these days like to play with genre and break outside of their normal conventions and Aquaman I feel does it the most successfully. It feels a little bit like a Stephen Sommers adventure flick in the vein of The Mummy. This and Wonder Woman also do a great job at taking the sort of aesthetic and film language of Zack Snyder's films and sorta doing their own spin on it.
Wonder Woman: I love this movie for a lot of the same reaons I love Aquaman. It breaks out of the normal conventions of a superhero movie with its WWI setting, Gal Gadot and Chris Pine just have infectious chemistry, and there's really spectacular set pieces. Patty Jenkins really knocked it out of the park directing her second ever feature film.
Batman Vs Superman: Yeah, this is probably gonna be the part that surprises people. It's taken me years to come to this, but I don't think BvS is a bad movie. In fact, I think it's actually a pretty decent movie AS LONG AS YOU'RE WATCHING THE ULTIMATE EDITION. Do not under any circumstances watch the theatrical cut, it removes actual vital context for why things are happening as well as whole scenes that humanize Clark Kent or remove him saving people as Superman at a critical moment. Batman killing people doesn't bother me anymore, it makes sense in the story they were trying to tell even if Snyder's bombast kinda cranks it up to absurd levels. He is a villain, a fallen hero. Superman not being the most cheerful guy also makes a lot of sense in context. You have to understand, this movie serves not only as a sequel to Man of Steel, but a means to address some of the criticisms people had with it within the fiction of the movie itself. And by george, I think it does a good job of it. The Knightmare scene is still a very awkard interlude. I realize it's supposed to be a sequel hook but in the middle of the movie, Zack?
Shazam: Very fun and funny, I appreciate seeing the same universe as some of the darker movies but through a child's eyes. And of course it would be more lighthearted in tone. Also appreciate it embracing some of the weirder aspects of the DC universe as shown in Shazam's early comics. I mean for heaven's sake, Mister Mind shows up. A literal sentient caterpillar.
Wonder Woman 1984: You know this movie caught a lot of flack for some very valid reasons, but I know that Patty Jenkins wanted to make a sort of throwback to the Richard Donner style and I think she succeeded and I enjoyed watching it. Once again, Gal Gadot and Chris Pine's chemistry shines through, Kristen Wiig is great and Pedro Pascal alone is worth watching the movie for. I thought it was funny how the first quarter of the movie could easily be mistaken for a movie about sweet nerdy Barbara Minerva falling in love with the classy, confident Diana Prince. Almost wish that was the movie instead.
Man of Steel: So you know how I said how Batman killing people doesn't bother me because it makes sense in the context of the story? I'm just gonna go ahead and say the same about the thing everyone thinks about when it comes to this movie. It makes sense in context. He clearly doesn't want to, but he feels like there's no other option so he just acts. Anyway, my biggest problem with this movie is the editing. By which I mean the sequencing of scenes doesn't make a lot of sense and it makes the movie seem really disjointed and like it's being played out of order, particularly in the scenes where Clark Kent and Lois Lane interact. I don't think Henry Cavill is a bad actor and I've warmed up to him as Superman for this cinematic universe. However, the face he makes when he takes flight for the first time haunts me to this day and I just wanna know what his direction was when they shot it. And just as a sidenote, Henry Cavill's hair is the best in this movie. I hate that it's slicked in BvS, It makes him look scary and mean. I also like how weird and alien Krypton looks. Russell Crowe is a great Jor-El and Michael Shannon is a great Zod. But overall this movie is pretty mid to me, a stepping stone to the vastly improved BvS: Ultimate Edition
Justice League: I almost didn't include this because I wanted to wait for the Snyder Cut but I figure what the hell, I'll grade the theatrical cut on its own merits because I've seen it a couple times. It's probably not a good thing that I only found the CGI tolerable on a TV screen. It really does look like a PS3 game in its big action set pieces. The differences between the material shot by Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon is like night and day and I'll tell you I have had my fill of Whedonisms. You can just keep that shit in the early Avenger flicks. The only reason I can say it kinda sorta works is the cast of the League have great chemistry that sells it.
Suicide Squad: An irredeemably bad movie. The absolute worst. Looks like shit, badly edited, story makes zero sense. Much like I consider MoS to be a stepping stone to the vastly superior BvS, this is that to BoP, but like, MORE. Which is a shame because it has a talented ensemble cast but it does not save this one.

my official rating of all the duggar grandkids names for anyone who is curious:
Josh & Anna:
Mackynzie Renee: I actually like Mackenzie even though it's not really my own style, but I don't love Mackynzie, in both spelling and pronunciation it's not as appealing imo. I like Renee even though it's a bit of a filler middle, but Kynzie shares a middle name with her mom so I'll give that a pass because I tend to give family names a lot of leeway.
Michael James: Michael and James are two of my favorite boys' names so I like this one :) They're both very simple and classic but they're lovely and so versatile. I do think James is also a bit filler-y as a middle even though it's one of my faves as a first, but presumably it's after Jim Bob so it also gets a pass (actually, I don't think choosing to name your kid after Jim Bob Duggar gets a pass really but kshdjghsf)
Marcus Anthony: I really like both of these names individually, esp Anthony, but I HATE them together because it just makes me think of Mark Antony and I don't think they did it on purpose but I think it's cheesy.
Meredith Grace: Return of the filler middle! I do like Grace although it feels more fresh as a first name. I don't love Meredith, it's fine but I prefer Mary and it definitely feels dated. Also they call her Dithy for short and I don't like that at all.
Mason Garrett: Don't really like Mason, it feels very bland and it's not my style. Garrett is also not my style but it has a bit more punch to it. It does flow well though.
Maryella Hope: I actually really like this one, even though it's def sort of old-ladyish. I like Mariella spelling better, but I know she's named after Jim Bob's mother Mary so the connection is more obvious this way. But I like all the "chunks" of this name: Mary + Ella + Hope. It sounds a little too similar to Meredith but when you're locked into the M names there's only so much you can do I guess.
overall/sibling set take: I honestly hate the matchy-sibling-initial thing and I think it's annoying as hell, and I'm glad Josh is the only Duggar kid who has chosen to continue this tradition with his own family. I also think it boxes parents into choosing names they don't really love just because it goes with the theme, and it means a lot of the names kind of clash. I don't think coherency in style for sibling names is a huge deal but they definitely don't have it. On the other hand, I really like a lot of the individual name choices here.
Jill & Derick
Israel David: I think Israel sounds really nice but I think it's almost unusuably politically and religiously loaded/controversial so I feel like I really disagree with their choice to use it. David is very handsome, nice classic.
Samuel Scott: Samuel is one of my favorite names and I'm kind of sorry I will never use it because it's my grandpa, uncle, and cousin's name and also my brother's middle name so it's kind of already taken multiple times over. Scott isn't my favorite but as a middle name it's fine and the whole thing flows well and is a good use of alliteration, which I don't always care for.
overall take: solid choices, don't love the use of Israel from an ideological perspective. Would be interested to see if they keep doing the -el thing with future kids or what style of name they would pick for a girl. I also think Jill and Derick may not have any more kids and will likely have the most limited family of any second-gen Duggars so we may not see many more names, which is a pity as a name nerd but great as someone who supports Jill making decisions about her own reproductive system and family size. My personal prediction is that Jill will eventually have a third child (I do think she would like a daughter) but that they will stop after that.
Jessa & Ben
Spurgeon Elliot: This is the only first name choice on a Duggar grandbaby that I outright hate. I think this is like Jinger-level bad if not worse. It's weird, but it's not even like an unusual name that happens to sound nice, it's SO ugly. I think of sperm, I think of sturgeon fish, I somehow think of Squidward especially since his full name is Spurgeon Seewald, it's really just bad. It's also such a pity because Elliot is a lovely name and if they'd just switched around the two I could have dealt with it, I know they wanted to reference Charles Spurgeon but they truly should have used the middle spot like they did with Henry. They absolutely nerfed this poor kid.
Henry Wilberforce: Henry is such a nice classic and I really like it. See, here with Wilberforce as a middle it acknowledges the historical figure they want to honor but it also flows nicely and doesn't hit you over the head and also Wilberforce isn't as ugly and Squidward-like as Spurgeon.
Ivy Jane: This is super cute, I really like how it has vintage charm but also feels up to date. I don't think they call her by her full name, but I also think Ivy Jane would be a cute double name. I also just realized that in addition to two Evies there is also an Ivy in this family which is just :/
overall opinion: I really don't know why they didn't swap the FN/MN on Spurgeon because Elliot, Henry, and Ivy is like a perfectly matched sibling set. That's all on that. I almost wonder if they regret naming Spurgeon that and that's why they've stuck more traditional with the other two, or if either Ben or Jessa has way more obscure taste than the other and they've been swinging both ways on that.
Joy & Austin
Gideon Martyn: Gideon is really nice, it's a more obscure but increasingly popular Biblical choice that is both handsome and a little bit fun! I like Martin but don't love this spelling, but I know it's a family name for Austin so I am going to give it a pass. Evelyn Mae: I really like this one, it's kind of like Ivy Jane in that it feels both vintage and current. I generally prefer May to Mae because it's a bit softer-looking but Mae is fine too.
overall opinion: I think the names work together but are kind of different styles, so I would be interested to see what further boys or girls wind up being named: I think some parents favor very different vibes for male versus female names.
Joe & Kendra
Garrett David: Garrett returns! IIRC this is a family name on Michelle's side but I might be making that up. I think this is a handsome combination overall but it's a little bland to me. Addison Renee: I like Addie and most of the long forms of it, so this gets a thumbs up from me. Renee is again kind of filler-y but I like it.
overall opinion: I think Joe and Kendra favor a pretty modern/trendy surnamey style that is very common in the rural South, although they don't seem to go for unusual spellings like Josh and Anna did with Mackynzie. I fully expect them to continue with this trend with later kids because they've stuck to it for both boys and girls. For the daughter they're currently expecting, I predict something like Shelby or Reagan, although since Addie uses a more traditionally feminine nickname they might not go for directly unisex again either. Maybe a Brooklyn?
Jinger & Jeremy
Felicity Nicole: Felicity does make me think overwhelmingly of the American Girl Doll, but that's not really a bad association and I like the name overall. Also they call her Lissie which I think is very cute. Nicole is a bit of a stylistic clash but it's Jinger's middle name.
Evangeline Jo: I like Evangeline, but I do think it's weird in a family where there are already cousins named both Evie and Ivy. I also prefer the -leen or -lynn pronunciation to the -line pronunciation that they're using. Plus, I think Evangeline Jo flows kind of oddly, especially with the last name Vuolo.
overall opinion: I feel like Evangeline is exactly the same style as Felicity and is a really predictable choice for them, and I also feel like Jinger has a secret Nameberry account because their style is one that is SUPER common on nameberry. Long and lacy names with more approachable nicknames and an elegant/intellectual/classy feel, which makes sense because Jeremy is a deeply pretentious person djsfkvhsdzjkfhjd. I would be interested to see what they would name a boy because their girl style is super coherent.
Josiah & Lauren
Bella Milagro: I don't love Bella: I prefer Ella, and I also feel like it's a bit nicknamey, although I don't like a lot of -bella names anyway. I think Milagro is a very cool middle name and I like that she shares it with her mom!
John David & Abbie
Grace Annette: I like Grace, it's simple and sweet and feels very versatile and classic. I think Annette is Michelle's middle name IIRC, it's definitely dated but I think it flows nicely with Grace.

Hey man, do you have any advice for describing body movement? I remember your Crowley and Agent 47 (using them as examples that stand out) both had very expressive and true-to-character body language, and I've honestly been killing myself for the past 2 weeks trying to figure out your style, but I either focus on the wrong body parts or choose wrong words - what do you consider to be focal points in mannerisms.. or maybe words/phrases to think about when describing a character's body language?
sorry to hijack your question, anon, but a quick order of business: i’ve noticed something about how i’ve been receiving asks lately. i only tend to get them directly after i post/reblog stuff, like people aren’t sure whether i’m around or don’t want to bother me [which some of them have said outright]. don’t worry about it! trust me, i lurk on tumblr all day. i’ll see it. i’m grateful for the distraction. just because i don’t hate writing doesn’t mean i don’t love to procrastinate.
anyway, body language. i think, without having seen your writing, you’re probably being too hard on yourself. if you’re for-real-for-real using my writing as a style reference, i’m very flattered. if you message me off anon, i’d be happy to chat about it. let’s also not rule out that my style might just be nonsense and you’re struggling to figure it out because it’s, well, nonsense. let’s not forget we’re human here.
but in general, it’s an inexact science - like many things with writing, you kind of just have to feel it out. i don’t follow any body language rules that i don’t make myself follow with the rest of my narration, too. “stay in active voice,” “stay in third-person objective as much as you can,” and “use a verb only once per scene unless you’re really struggling.”
if finding focal points on a character’s body helps you, let’s look at it that way. which body part is changing? what were they holding still, but are now moving? which part of their face is communicating their expression the most? i notice that people emote a lot in their eyebrows, which may be where eyes get their reputation for being “windows to the soul.” some people talk with their hands or interact a lot with the furniture around them. some people are more self-contained.
more importantly, what do you notice? what do you like to think about? your sense of human observation is what will make your writing yours. do you find yourself paying attention to people’s hands a lot? or maybe their posture? you’re not doing it wrong if you’re not doing it exactly like me.
if you want some more detailed thoughts, i’ve included one of my usual tl;drs below the cut. these are less a direct answer to your question and more ideas i have about writing body language in general.
1. acting helps
if you’re writing a character that somebody has portrayed onscreen, you’ll have a big advantage when you try to write how they move. skilled actors are able to give their characters a distinct physical presence, and it’s all just sitting there for you to study and work from.
this is the big reason i like modeling my characters on famous people. i mean, well, mainly i just love movies and daydreaming about what filmed versions of my stories would be like. but when you have that base, you can look up videos of them and analyze everything from their physical habits to the cadence of their voice. how do they sit? what kind of roles have they performed well in? certain people just fit into a time period or aesthetic like a glove. i was completely lost with marcus until i made the connection between him and henry rollins, and then it all fell into place. that stiff, over-disciplined posture and tamped-down nervous energy were perfect for a career military man with a lot of inner turmoil.
in crowley’s case, david tennant is a very physical actor. anyone who writes good omens fic has a treasure trove of lanky, rubbery body language to work with. [aziraphale, my favorite, is kind of the underdog here. i love michael sheen’s performance, but aziraphale’s whole thing is restraint, so i guess crowley ends up being the one who jumps off the page.] on the opposite end, agent 47 is extraordinarily still, with bursts of extraordinary brutality done with extraordinary precision. where crowley is swooshy, 47 is about no wasted movements. his body is wired to be a predator even when he’s off the job. i know it’s weird to compare a video game character to a live actor, but i assume 47 was mocapped, so just… bear with me.
once i have that frame of reference - or i don’t, and i have to come up with my own - i start to act out the character myself. i’ve talked about this before: i feel more comfortable writing a character when i can “embody” them, imitating their body language as i read their dialogue. i must look pretty eccentric when i do it, but it works.
P.S: of course you don’t have to limit yourself to trained actors. you can just as easily reach into your personal life. a lot of authors get incredible results from going back to their mother, or a friend, or some tragic first love.
2. simple, but specific verbs
i’ve heard that a lot of creative writing teachers find their students are timid about the strength of verbs. they’ll bend over backwards to “soften the blow” with gerunds or other unnecessary clutter because they’re not confident that they’ve chosen the right one. “he was sitting on the stump and starting to carefully carve a bar of soap when she came over and he pressed a kiss to her hand.” that kind of thing. my preference is, own it. choose a good verb and leave it naked. let it speak for itself. be declarative. be more forceful in your personality. fight. WIN!
for the record, i’m not averse to using a thesaurus. i think they get a bad rap because of writers who shoehorn in SAT words to make themselves sound more intelligent. did your character walk across the room, or did they pace? did they stroll? did they stride? did they lope? did they run, or dash, or scamper, or bolt? they all feel different, don’t they?
counterpoint: some people add flourishes to their body language so that you’ll really linger on the feature in question. the first thing that comes to mind is romance, where they want you to think long and hard about, i don’t know, the hidden strength in the love interest’s folded hands. this is… i feel… a matter of artistic discretion. it’s not my thing - i prefer to describe more neutrally - but many people love it. it’s something my producers at voltage lovingly bap me on the head about, because lovestruck games are all about zesty High Romance™ and i always wish i could play it down with my plain, unromantic prose. i used to rail away about it in other people’s work. now? whatever. i’m not here to judge you. writing is hard.
3. on the other hand, don’t be afraid to get colorful
if, in the process of writing, you discover some quirky figurative twist that nails dead-on what you’re envisioning, i say go for it. especially if you’re not trying to be wholly detached as a narrator. if i tell you a character “scooted across the bed like a seal,” it gives you a pretty clear mental image, doesn’t it?
if you have a distinctive voice - and i’m sure you do - i think these are the times where you, the writer, as a character are really going to come out. the reason we keep coming back to, say, mark twain is because nobody “prose talks” quite like he did. whether you like it or dislike it, it’s unique.
full disclosure: this is a potent spice, so you may want to use it in moderation. the most fanciful comparisons may work better in comedy, when you have a little more room to be out-there. my mother defines humor as “associating two unlike things in a way that highlights the absurdity of how similar they actually are.” it may not be a coincidence that a curious case of miracles and death and orchids are less serious stories, so i felt comfortable being sillier with my figurative language, and that may have made crowley and 47 seem more expressive. YMMV!

Repost cuz I forgot some things-
Anyways
This is my Afton family for my fnaf au. The afton kids,Emily kids, nor any children at the pizzeria die in my au cuz I cant handle child death and what's better than a big happy family?
Also
Yes
Will is 48, mike is 21, liz is 16, andy is 13. So the kids are older because I said so.
Now let's ramble with the info
William Afton- The guy is intimidating at first glance but hes generally a nice guy, just has a resting bitch face. After going through what his father had done to him and later on what his ex-wife had done to him, Mike, and Liz, he became extremely protective of his family. Will is a pretty extroverted guy, he could strike up a conversation with a raccoon in the trash can for crying out loud but he's also very dramatic and pushy. Hes grown thick skin over the years and learned to deal with his temper. Hes not the greatest dad but he tried his best to keep his keep his kids happy. He treats everyone at Freddy's like a family and cares a lot about them Including the animatronics. Oh he's also engaged to scott, who is my phone guy- and Henry and Will's cat Clyde are their third and forth wheels. They be vibin tho
Michael Afton- Unlike his father, hes a nice guy 24/7 hes the type of guy you can go up to and ask for directions without feeling uneasy. He's very loud and weird, in a good way. He loves to bother tf out of Will and make jokes that make Will sigh in disappointment or even taking his trumpet and playing it to scare his father. Charlie is his best friend, they've been friends since childhood since their dads are also best friends. Charlie and Mike are total dumbasses together but they're inseparable. Mike is in a relationship with Jeremy but they dont act like it in front of others, they'll make fun a gay people despite both of them liking men. As for things with Ennard, that's his main man. Ennard isnt the smartest as time goes on so a lot of people at freddy's gets frustrated with him but Mike treats Ennard like family even if hes a bunch of wires and mental scraps. Mike also has a dumb cat named Inky. Him and Ennard both enjoy eating rats.
Elizabeth Afton- Lizzy is actually bby. She's is a big sweetheart but also a tough girl. Mike would always rough Lizzy up to the point where he would let her beat tf out of him but it was all to teach her how to defend herself. She's a big theater kid just like her father was in high school and a big dramatic. She doesnt really fuck with the kids at her school because she just doesnt get along with people her age, she'd much rather be around people much other than her. She's also a rambler like her father and will talk to strangers about the most random of things and before they could reply she'd be off doing something else. Yes she's extroverted but if they aren't family or treated like family she wants nothing to do with them. She also doesnt work very well with others, it's her way or the highway. You'll most likely walk in on her talking to her phat chunk of a cat named Blinky tho.
Andrew Afton- Andy is the youngest of the Aftons and the quietest. While the other Aftons are very extroverted, hes very to himself and isnt a fan of people, but he does have a best friend named Brandon, Who's dad also works at Freddy's. Instead of his head being bit it was actually his right arm that was so badly bitten, it had to get it amputated. Will does make prosthetics for him though and you'll rarely see him without it. Andy blames himself a lot of things that arent his fault, like his mother's death. She died from complications during child birth with Andy. Andy is actually half siblings to Mike and Liz but they all treat each other like full siblings. He's very emotional and finds comfort in his interests which are, collecting toys and plushies from freddy's, Carebears, Hello Kitty, and many more. And yes his cat is Pinky and shes an old bitch and only likes Will and Andy but no one knows why? She used to sleep in Andy's crib with him when he was a baby and he stole Will's cat from only 1 month old.

Michael in the Mainstream - It: Chapter 2
Tumblr media
Movies like It seem to be so scarce nowadays. It’s a horror movie that was actually scary, with good characters with a solid dynamic and plenty of entertainment value, not to mention the fact that it pulled off the miraculous feat of having child actors who not only didn’t suck but are better than some adult actors. And then on top of all that, it’s an adaptation that, in a lot of ways, improves on and polishes the coke-fueled insane fever dream that is the original Stephen King novel. So of course, seeing as it only adapted roughly half of the novel’s story (or maybe more like a third considering all of the backstory of the distant past of It’s time in Derry), the sequel was always going to have its work cut out for it, and would inevitably be standing in the shadow of the previous film.
I’d be lying if I said this film was as good as its predecessor. It’s not. It’s not as scary, it has some really underwhelming moments, and it cut out a lot of the backstory and other elements that seemed like they would really help flesh out the movie’s universe and Pennywise. But all that aside, this is still a good movie, a great one even. Just maybe not a great horror movie. You see, It: Chapter 2 does something very odd despite maintaining the cosmic horror elements of the previous film – it turns itself into a black comedy.
I have to say that some of it must be unintentional. I don’t know for sure we were supposed to find Mrs. Kersh rushing Beverly looking like a nude Large Marge hilarious, for instance. But then you have moments like Stephen King’s cameo, or the leper vomiting on Eddie and playing the first line of the chorus of “Angel of the Morning” for literally no reason and you start to realize the film actually does have a fairly good sense of humor. Once again, this is mainly due to Richie, whose older self is portrayed by Bill Hader. Hader absolutely steals the movie, somehow managing to make a character who was intolerable in the original book and miniseries likable, humorous, and even heartfelt and emotional at points. There’s actually a really great twist to Richie here that I appreciated being put in. And his banter with the equally show-stealing James Ransone as Eddie only adds on to how great he is.
Of course, much like the miniseries, this half would fall apart if the rest of the adults weren’t able to to represent themselves well, but thankfully they all turn in great performances that truly channel what the child actors built up. Hader as Richie as Jessica Chastain as Beverly are probably the most accurate look-wise in addition to really getting what made audiences love the child versions of their characters, but even ones who look a bit less like the kids like James McAvoy absolutely kill it, though in regards to McAvoy I really don’t think I’ve ever seen the man put in a bad performance. All of these characters are likable, fun, funny, and manage to carry the story even when they’re just sitting around talking – again, in stark contrast to the miniseries, where almost every single one of the adults was just relentlessly dull or unfunny.
Of course, what would this movie be without Pennywise? The movie does make good use out of Bill Skarsgard, even if a lot of the intriguing backstory was cut. While he maintains the sinister, creepy atmosphere he had in the first film, meaning he never quite devolves into the hilarious trolling Tim Curry’s Pennywise dabbled in, he does get a lot of amusing, goofy moments, a highlight being the blackly comical scene where he taunts Richie over his “dirty little secret” with a goofy song while the townsfolk sway their heads along to the tune. Overall though, he’s even more brutal and cruel than before, especially since we get even more graphic depictions of him killing children, with two of them being just needlessly cruel.
His first kill is not only that, but also needlessly shocking. They adapted the Adrian Mellon death scene, which is greatly appreciated since it is a kind of sick cruelty that still exists today and the commentary King was making when he wrote the scene will be relevant until homophobia is squashed out. The thing is, though, the homophobic bullies just… disappear from the story, without any comeuppance. I did read an interview where the director said their comeuppance was unfortunately cut, which leads the scene to feel like it’s just there to be shocking rather than commenting on how humanity can sometimes be more monstrous than the eldritch flesh-eating clown that lives in the sewer.
That’s not the only wonky story element, either; Henry returns, but he has so little impact on the plot it’s a wonder why they even put him in at all, especially seeing as they cut out Christine’s cameo and Pennywise turning into a dog – two highlight’s of Henry’s portion of the story in the book. Adding to that, Henry actually doesn’t even accomplish anything; in the book, he severely wounds Mike and Eddie, while here he… mildly inconveniences them for short periods of time. He’s utterly pointless, and it’s weird how they’d keep him in and water him down while simultaneously cutting out Bill’s wife and Bev’s husband, the latter of whom makes quite an impression in his single scene. I’m not saying it’s bad that they cut those two out – the novel is filled with unnecessary side characters that could be easily trimmed with little detriment to the story, both of them included – but it is a bit weird that they didn’t try to do anything with them and instead just kind of screwed Henry over.
Then of course, as is the norm for adaptations of It, the ending is a tad bit underwhelming. It certainly is not to the same level as the original miniseries, what with its terrible stop-motion spider, but it still ends up being a bit corny when they actually step up and defeat Pennywise, though thankfully the blow is cushioned by a lot of creativity in the initial confrontation. And while the final battle is not perfect, the ending is a lot better than in the novel, with bittersweetness given a lot more triumph and happiness than the novel’s far more downbeat ending. And I think, flaws aside, that right there is a testament to how good the movie is: I was so happy to see all of these characters get the happy ending that the underwhelming final battle and the other problems of the movie didn’t matter much in the long run, I was just happy these characters I love and who I have seen suffer countless hardships and heartbreaks finally get the happy endings they deserve, for the most part anyway.
I think this is a very good, strong film, if not a perfect one; I think that generally speaking people who liked the first one will enjoy this, and if you go in knowing this isn’t going to be on the same level as the first one you’ll probably like it. Understanding that it’s much funnier than it is scary will probably be a big help. This isn’t a particularly scary film especially compared with the first one, but that opening scene is intensely uncomfortable and if you don’t like seeing children messily devoured by clowns then I’d still say avoid this if you’re faint of heart.
It’s strange how history repeats. 27 years prior to the first film, the miniseries came out, and it had an extremely solid first half get bogged down by a second half that just couldn’t live up to it. It’s not an exact repeat; It: Chapter 2 is nowhere near being a bad film, and lands more in the ‘good film overshadowed by its predecessor’ category, but it’s still kind of sad that adaptations of such an iconic novel have just never been able to stick the landing.
I guess that’s what they get for cutting out Matarin.
