Okay, but the Victor and Adam building the mate were so good to 😳 I am very much rotating it in my mind

I kinda wish I had something super cool to say about it, but this is mostly random thoughts, so sorry about that 😅

Totally not crying about Adam trying to call Victor father, poor guy. Like sure, understandably Victor isn’t that pleased with him because of, you know, the murdering, but it's hard not to sympathize with Adams need to be accepted by Victor.

i do also love how Adam talks about the diy wife tho. Like in this very sweet and romantic way, and it also kinda feel like a part of it is coming from his own experience of being rejected.

But there also like a level of wrong with the whole thing? Like it feels like he's already kind of building an imaginary relationship with her, before they've technically officially met.

And in some way it also feels like he is setting himself up for failure, like, most likely the actual relationship would probably not live up to whatever fantasy he has (and in the end Victor is very much in the right about the bride)

And you're right about Adam building a fantasy. That's a thing he tends to do in my AU and part of why things went so sour with Dorian. Adam has concepts about love and family and his own idea of how things are "supposed to go" and ultimately he ends up setting himself up. You can't blame him to much because he's had no socialization but at the same time it's painful to watch him keep getting his hopes crushed because he builds narratives that aren't really feasible.

And there was no way the bride could have worked, if she came out as intelligent and capable of independent learning as Adam did then I don't see her contenting herself with a husband she didn't pick as her only company for the rest of her life and there's no knowing how Adam might have taken it if she had rejected him. He may have loved the idea of her but there was no way for him to love her as a person.

Victor knows this, he's an ass for his treatment of Adam and his biases towards Adam's appearance but in the case of the bride Victor isn't wrong.

Unfortunately Adam is so desperate for companionship that he'll never be able to see that.

Omg wjsjeosjekkd, I just read that scene with Harry dreaming about being killed and how she called Voldemort in chapter 37, and I loved everything about it! The descriptions, the dialogue, you have a way with words and is so amazing. Im truly mesmerized by your writing!

I am indeed in my One Piece era!

Funny thing is, I started watching One Piece after watching the Live Action like a day after, so it was like 1st September I started my journey. And throughout it, I didn't like get the like hyperfixation.

Until Doflamingo showed up at Punk Hazard and I was like 😳. And then Dressrosa came and I fell in love with this pink feather coat wearing man. I love men who dress flamboyantly and who have self-confidence to do so. Makes them so incredibly charming to me. Also, Doflamingo's funny as hell. I cackled for 5 minutes straight to his reaction to Usopp. Are his laughs eerie? Yes. Are his smiles and laughs also cute as fuck? Yes. Yes, they are.

Anon, I didn't just watch Dressrosa. No, no, no no. I lived and BREATHED Dressrosa. I watched 57 episodes within 8 days. That was in February. I finished the arc within 2 weeks because I couldn't stop watching. Funny thing, I watched the entrance into Dressrosa on Valentine's Day. Entering the country of love and passion on Valentine's Day? Coincidence? I think not. It would be hilarious if the day actually was in universe Valentine's Day. Imagine getting your ass beat by a flip flop-wearing feral 19-year-old midget who calls you Mingo (that nickname is so fckn cute) who is fighting you because a girl bought him lunch... all on Valentine's Day. I'd never go out in public again. I felt bad for Doffy a bit. Ten years of work, destroyed in one single day because a stupid girl bought this rubber moron food. Anyway, I love Doffy so much, he's my husband 🩷😊 DRESSROSA FOREVAH!

I have now watched Ep 999 and have stopped watching cus I'm waiting for my Discord friends to catch up, so I'm taking a big break now.

Oh, fav chars! Man, there's so many. If I had to like pick besides Doffy, it'd be Luffy. He's so loveable, so funny, so cute, and I love that his design is very ordinary, with black hair and eyes, unlike the other protags who all have crazy colour schemes like purple hair or purple eyes or other vibrant colours. Luffy was genuinely a breath of fresh air to me. He... especially his sad moments/low points really hit hard with me, mostly because I've never seen emotions and the psychological toll and how they feel portrayed so well in fiction. Not only with Luffy, but especially with adult characters, too.

Luffy is my baby boy, he must be protected.

Other fav chars are: Sanji, Chopper, Jimbei, Law (he must be protected too, I was a sobbing mess after his backstory. I relate to Adult Law regarding personality, haha), my fire boy Ace 🔥, Robin, Shanks, Mihawk, Katakuri my donut boy 🍩, and Rosinante 💙.

For the Donquixote Pirates members I really liked Gladius. He was so cute as a spiky blowfish. Reminded me of a hedgehog, too.

Also, Fujitora! He and Coby are the only Marines I like and respect.

I feel flattered this is now called my One Piece Era. Makes it sound epic. Heck yeah, I'm in my One Piece Era! Yeaaaah!

Day trip to Sens

It rained a lot overnight and into the morning. The original plan was that I would stay at the campground and Jose would take Tessi to the people we use just outside of Sens for her rego inspection. We both figured he’d be gone 2-3 hours so I was going to get some washing and admin done.

Thank goodness for the rain, as that meant I went with Jose first thing in the morning. It turned out we were booked in for 2:30pm, but had to drop her off by 12:00 as that was when they closed for lunch, and we’d be collecting her at 6pm 😳

So we had a good 2 hours to kill before dropping Tessi off which we spent at a nearby outlet type area with a Decathlon (shock, horror only one purchase) and other assorted shops. We did go into an actual shopping centre, half of which was closed. Something we’ve really noticed this time in France (and have probably noticed before but forgotten), it’s hard to find somewhere for a pastry and a coffee. You can find boulangeries pretty much everywhere, but then try to get a coffee is a feat.

Thankfully for us we had coffee in a flask so bought some yummy flans and had both sitting in Tessi. We headed back to the motorhome place and we’re just checking out the store before walked into Sens when the heavens opened. Thankfully it was short lived and we were soon on our way.

It was about a 40 minute not very nice walk into Sens. Sens could be lovely, very much like Troyes which is close, but it needs a lot of TLC. Anyway we walked around and took some photos and tried to stop me from shopping when we found a great place for lunch. It specialised in cooking from the Savoyard region so lots of melted cheese 😋 We both had my second favourite Tartiflette which is next to Raclette but then we really would have needed a lie down after lunch. We laughed that the green salad even had a big slice of jamon adorning it. Even though we were both stuffed we couldn’t resist sharing a piece of the blueberry tart. It was jammed full of fruit.

Replete we continued our stroll around Sens, crossed the bridges over l’Yonne river and soon we had pretty much seen all there was too see. The sky was looking pretty threatening so we took refuge at a bar and had a coffee. A last quick look in the shops and then we strolled back to pick up Tessi.

Long story short - the woman there was lovely but insisted on doing everything herself so it was after 7pm by the time we left 🙄

Thankfully it was a lovely mild night, nicest the weather had been all day, so we had nibbles and a salad dinner by Tessi before retiring inside to watch the highlights from today’s stage of the Dauphne. In line with how the rest of our day has gone (aside from our yummy lunch) my iPad wasn’t having a bar of it tonight do we had to watch it on Jose’s phone 🙄
