hello there!! for the wip game, I’d love to know more about Flustered Obi-Wan?

Flustered Obi-Wan

So, it's just an idea for now, haven't really thought about the specifics yet, but the concept is that Obi-Wan is just very easily flustered (that man needs to get laid) and everyone is just having fun getting him flustered, like kit going around without his shirt on every time Obi is around, the clones having their trainings with the tightest clothes they own or going around in just a towel after the shower, still dripping with water because you know it can be boring out there when there isn't a planet to protect and it's funny seeing your general so flustered and i don't know yet where that should go but an option is that at some point Cody picks up on what everyone is doing and puts his men on cleaning duty forever and everyone thinks it's just because it's the general and Cody is doing it because it's his job as a Commander but actually on a night out with the other ccs they make him realise that it's because he has ✨️feelings✨️for his general but how on earth is he going to do that?! And then one of his (drunk) brothers has a brilliant idea: he should be the one to fluster the general. And of course Cody won't! Until he realises that maybe that is going to be the only possible option so he tries a few times but Obi-Wan doesn't get flustered and instead looks amused and Cody thinks he is making a fool of himself when actually Obi-Wan is endeared

So i guess it might be a 5+1

(They'd eventually get together but I don't know how yet)

I'm once again doing the double wip, drawing and writing. First, drawing!

They're everything to me.

I don't have much explanation for this one, iykyk (and it's pretty obvious). My last line was shading on Cody's face. They're just—

And writingggg. I just finished changing this 5k wip from past to present tense, but I did add a line to this scene. I love putting accurate math into my codywan teacher au fic. Precalc is so fun.

“So the inverse of this function, if we swap out x and y and solve for x, comes out to be 2x plus four. Is that all making sense so far?”

He sees a variety of nods and decides to move on.

“Now, if we loop back to transformations,” he says as he grabs a whiteboard eraser. He swipes at the orange marker and it - doesn’t erase. He scrubs at the marks and they just smudge, but don’t vanish. “This marker doesn’t erase.” He chucks it into the trash can by the door.

“What, no, don't throw it out,” Waxer cries. “You could give it to Mr Kenobi.” Other students begin calling out their agreement.

Cody glares at his students. “If I give that marker to Mr Kenobi, when he discovers it doesn’t erase, he will just write over it and it won’t be good for anyone.” Cody should know; Obi-Wan had accidentally written on a whiteboard at home with a permanent marker and, well. Trying to read three layers of his handwriting overlapped was a challenge to say the least.

Last Line Challenge

I was tagged by @anxiousotters. Here is a little bit from a fic that I found the beginning of in my WIP graveyard that has now overtaken my brain:

When the door opened again, Cody swore viciously and scrambled out of his bed, sending Boga flying with a displeased hiss as he backed against the wall and collapsed, his shaky legs unable to support him. A skeleton had marched into the room holding a tray, and its empty sockets stared at Cody as if he was some sort of curiosity. He heard a huff of laughter from the doorway and tore his eyes away from the intruder to find Obi-Wan watching him with a small smile on his lips.

“Apologies. I suppose I should have warned you about Arfour.” He didn’t sound sorry at all.

“Arfour?”

Obi-Wan inclined his head toward the skeleton. “Arfour, or Attempted Reanimation Four, helps out around the manor.”

“You’re a necromancer?” Cody hated how his voice sounded and that his heart was threatening to beat out of his chest.

“Oh no, nothing so Dark as that. There is no soul attached to the bones. They can simply move around with the aid of the Force. Pulling souls from the Force and attempting to place them in a body is the sort of forbidden magic used by the Sith.”

“So you just stole someone’s bones and you’re not being haunted by their angry spirit?”

“I did not steal them. They were here when I arrived, and as I said, souls are not attached to bones. When someone passes away they become one with the Force.”

Last line has been messing around with Alpha-17 eyebrow's (again).

The plan is to have a bunch of alphas from various works I really enjoyed (left to right: Angel from airlockfailure, Alpha-17, Fordo and Spar). We're 89 layers in, so let's see what the end result will look like! For now I am trying to use the prompt as an exercise in redoing things over and over again (colouring, perspective, how I draw lips/textured hair, etc). This is the third iteration. (´｡• ᵕ •｡`)

In the spirit of wip Wednesday and the three margaritas I’ve had as well as being tagged by my dear @ferretrade for the last line challenge, I would like to present a wippet from something that sort of blindsided me. Looks like I might be posting some stuff next week after all!!

Obi-Wan watches as something in Cody’s already kind eyes softens. “I do appreciate it, sir,” he murmurs. “But if this is my last night alive… I’ve been meaning to do this for almost three years.”

And Cody, for his part, does not hesitate.

this is as good of a time as any to introduce my OC, Roan! he's a jedi shadow that works closely with Quinlan and they're besties. he's about 5 years younger than Quinlan so he gets to be Quinlan's token adopted introvert

here is a wonderful art of him that my beloved @holly-bearie did for me because Holly is wonderful and talented and I forcedasked him to draw Roan for me <3

I wanted to do some order 66 angst, so here's a bit from a WIP in which Roan, Quinlan, and Fox are about to go on an undercover mission right when the order hits. implied established quinfox :)

also fuck it. two snippets. you're all getting angst today, I don't care that you ordered smut

under the cut so this post doesn't get too long:

“You fuckers,” Fox rages once more, his accent becoming slurred and eyes fighting to stay open as the sedative begins to take effect, “Good soldiers follow orders, good soldiers–” His jaw goes slack, the arm in Quinlan’s grasp relaxes and Fox says once more, “Follow orders.” The silence that falls over them is thick over the rush of blood and a heartbeat in Roan’s ears. Quinlan stares down at Fox, slowly releasing his arm. Like this, Fox looks like he could be sleeping. He’s completely still, his curls strewn over his eyes as his face melts into the floor.  Quinlan puts two fingers on Fox’s neck to verify his pulse is still thrumming healthily, then nods to himself when he’s satisfied with it. Before he removes his hand and before Roan speaks, Quinlan tenderly moves the hair out of Fox’s eyes and pushes it back. Roan’s heart clenches.

He flexes his fingers on Quinlan’s shoulder and reaches for him in the void. He fumbles through it with his signature that shakes like his hands, clumsy fingers searching until they finally wrap around something. When he exhales, pink drifts back to purple as the blue edges on a flame.  Roan opens his eyes and Quinlan finally blinks as he comes back to himself. When he does, Roan almost wishes he left him in the safety of the vacuum.  “Roan,” Quinlan gasps. He looks towards him with tear tracks on his skin that match Roan’s. His hand comes up to grip Roan’s on his shoulder like a lifeline. “She’s gone. They’re gone.” “I know,” Roan says because he doesn’t know what else to say. A thousand voices yank at his peripheral, but he swallows and attempts to push it into the Force. A few screams escape through the fracture.  “He–” Quinlan looks back at Fox’s limp body. “I know.”

OOPSIES dw they'll find roan's super not-very-secret boyfriend, rex and everything will work out... in due time..

“We seem to have a stowaway,” Obi-Wan tells him, gesturing unnecessarily to the girl beside him.  Cody looks her over, unfazed. “So we do.” Obi-Wan narrows his eyes. Even for calm, collected, there’s-a-plan-B-for-everything Cody that is too nonchalant. “Did you already know about this?”  “I'm not sure what you mean,” Cody deflects coolly, before giving him a critical look. “You're not going to leave her standing there, are you?”  “I—that is—” Obi-Wan blinks. Speechless. “Of course not. But who is she?” “Sit,” Cody tells the girl kindly and Obi-Wan watches as she relaxes by an increment and takes the seat behind the pilot’s chair.

“It’ll take a lot more than that to make me break up with you.” Cody says, pulling one of the containers towards him.

“But you’re saying there is something that would make you?” Obi-Wan points at him with his spork.

“Nothing you could ever do.”

“Bet.” He says. “What if I stole from you?”

“Not a deal breaker."

“What if I killed someone?”

“I’d help you bury the body and we’d run away to Paris to escape the cops.”

He narrows his eyes. “What if I killed one of your brothers?”

Cody pauses at that.

“Aha! So you would break up with me if I killed one of your brothers?” he’s gleeful in having solved it.

“Hold on— which brother?”

WIP Wednesday/Last Line Challenge

I was tagged by @merlyn-bane and today I was working on some monster-Wan:

It had been a long time since Obi-Wan had felt someone else’s attraction to him, and it had been longer still since that attraction had been welcome, or at least since he had not flinched away from its presence. Still, Cody finding him attractive was rather different than Cody caring for him or even finding him attractive once he saw his true form. There was little doubt in Obi-Wan’s mind that his guest would be utterly horrified if he let the illusion he wore for his comfort fall away.

He avoided Cody until his work in the greenhouse began, certain that the attraction would fade on both sides rather quickly, but he was surprised to find Cody very diligently keeping his own notes on all of the plants when he allowed their paths to cross once again. He even approached Obi-Wan and made some suggestions after the first few days, and Obi-Wan stared at him dumbfounded for a moment before nodding. There was no harm in him making adjustments to the care of plants that were struggling.

Catching Cody talking to the plants and Boga when he visited the greenhouse did nothing to lessen his attraction to the man, his care for living things evident in all of his actions. He felt like sunlight in the Force, and the plants seemed to notice it as well, all of them bending toward his presence while he worked. Most humans would have been alarmed if vines had reached out to touch them or curl around them, but Cody just paused and studied the tendrils for a moment before smiling and continuing his daily chores, unbothered by the attention from his new, leafy companions.

Several sentence Sunday (<— seven sentence sunday <— six sentence sunday)

I was tagged by my dear @c-c2224, so here’s something I’m working on for the codywan comfort flash event!

“Commander?” the medic asks, confused, as Cody steps into the med tent. “Are you hurt? Already? We haven’t even started combat yet.”

“No,” Cody replies shortly, scanning the room for a rogue vambrace. “Have you seen—”

“No, General Kenobi isn’t here either,” Hex cuts him off, turning back to his current problem (a trooper with a pulled muscle) since Cody clearly seems to be fine. “I would wager he’s in the command tent.”

“That’s great,” Cody says absentmindedly. He runs a weary hand down his face. “If you see a spare piece of armour that looks like it might belong to me, will you please let me know?”

“Sure,” Hex frowns, not bothering to look up at Cody as he leaves the tent.

Cody sighs deeply. Things don’t just disappear into nothingness; that defies all laws of physics. It would be extra stupid if his vambrace was the first ever example of something that didn’t act how it definitely should.

Of course, not including the Jedi. They’re an outlier and should not be counted.
