It's time for another anxiety doodle. ANXIETY DOODLE 3.

I have a pretty crippling travel anxiety. I weep uncontrollably, twitch, pluck my hair and over all feel like I have a big boulder on my chest right before my travel. It mysteriously goes away the moment I hop into a car or get into a flight. But the time leading up to the travel is excruciatingly painful mentally.

Tomorrow I am starting the journey to move to whole another continent for my studies. It's a big move, a big journey, and a really long flight. My anxiety has been making it worse. I know I should seek help for it, even maybe take medication, but even seeking medical help scares me because I don't think I am ready for everything else that will open up in the process.

My anxiety continues. But making these repeated patterns has helped a little. But not much. They are not a replacement for medical help, they are just a little coping mechanism till I find it and find the strength to seek it.

Here it goes: I doodle when I am anxious. At first I would doodle in anxiety without knowing I am doodling. But lately, I am trying to be more aware of it. So I decided to keep this sketch book always open on my desk so I can doodle on this instead of my notebooks. Here is the first complete page of doodles. I only keep one color of pen accessible at a time to make it uniform, because if I have to choose colors, it would make me more anxious.

This is not me making art, or even an attempt at drawing. These are just my anxiety doodles. It calms me because the more intricate my doodles are, the less I am fixating on a given issue.

Here is my Anxiety Doodle 2

I made this during a class I couldn't complete the reading for. That shit freaks me out and makes me feel like I am cheating. Missing readings for class happens very rarely for me, but work that week was tremendous, and I even forgot I had a class that week. Thankfully I have calendar alarms for class in my system set to 15 minutes before the class has to start and when started ringing, I freaked out. I attended the class with video off. Took notes and quietly logged off after it was over.

The only way I could concentrate on class and not have a full blown panic episode by drawing this. Made a giant ass tree and kept repeating the leaves everywhere. It helped me listen to my Prof and also take notes in between.
