Are you excited for Carol?
YES!, it looks beautiful and of course I have complete faith in Cate Blanchett. I recently found out that the same author is responsible for Carol, The Talented Mr. Ripley and Strangers on a Train and I’ve never been so inclined to go on a book bender.

How was Stone?
I like Stone, but I wasn't as big on her performance as everyone else. For me, her character felt a little out of place. She has some really good moments with Edward Norton though.

biggest pet peeve?
probably when people leave like ketchup around the top of the bottle or like toothpaste on the toothpaste cap and then it gets all dry and makes me feel ill just looking at it. i have plenty more when it comes to things because of my ocd but that’s probably the top one tbh.
thanks for the question x

Martha Marcy May Marlene, I Killed My Mother and Gone Girl
The final shot/scene of MMMM is flawless, I also love the scene when she first calls her sister at the beginning.I Killed My Mother would have to be either the scene where Hubert smashes all the plates in the cupboard. Or when he and Antonin ‘paint’.Gone Girl is the final scene between Amy and Desi, or the big Amy reveal. The shot of Ben Affleck getting into that shower also holds a special place in my heart.

Breakfast at Tiffany's?
The whole damn thing! But if I had to choose I think it’d be the day Paul and Holly spend doing things they’ve never done before, or when Cat turns up at the end.

I dunno.. Gatsby was too modern for me to like. I had major problems with a lot of the soundtrack. Amy is amazing. Nick picked the wrong person to fuck with. Simple as. I still remember gasping really loudly at what happens to Emma..
I think Gatsby had to be modernised a bit for the scale and spectacle of the 20's glamour to translate and still seem as spectacular for a modern audience. The soundtrack is a personal favourite as well, so... :P What happened to Emma felt like a hammer to my face. It hurt so badly.

I only thought Gatsby was okay… Mulligan and Del Rey were the highlights though! I love Amy Dunne too, haha! Don’t hate me but I kinda love One Day, I haven’t read the book though…
I'm probably very guilty of being dazzled by the sparkles and flashing lights of Gatsby, but I really loved it. I spent so much of Gone Girl agreeing with everything Amy said, and then I came out of the books bubble and found out a lot of people think she's bat-shit, aha. One Day wasn't terrible, but I fell in love with the book and it broke my heart, the film was never going to live up to it.

5, 8 and 20? :)
5: Which book had the greatest impact on your life?
Ah, this is actually quite hard. I've not read many life altering books. At the time I read it The Color Purple was a huge eye-opener and destroyed me. Frankenstein was probably the first 'grown-up' book that I read, and I couldn't believe how beautifully written it was, so that also had a big impact on me as a reader.
8: Which character can you relate to most?
Most of the books I've read are about people and situations so far removed from myself that I don't think I could ever relate to them properly. But a character that I felt extremely close too while reading her story was Celie from The Color Purple. Our lives are completely different in pretty much every aspect, but on an emotional level I was so invested in her. The most recent one would be Amy from Gone Girl, although I don't how it makes me look to say I related to her..
20: Which movie adaptations of a book were actually amazing and which made you cringe?
I'm in the small minority that enjoyed the most recent Gatsby, although I read the book after I saw the film so I'm sure that's why. Never Let Me Go was also brilliant, and Gone Girl was a nearly perfect adaptation. Less good was One Day, and my least favourite adaptation is The Bride of Frankenstein. Neither of them are cringeworthy, but they don't do their respective books justice in the slightest.

It's one of my favourite memories, we sang her Video Games and she cried... I feel like I may have told you this already. Kelly Clarkson is a huge step up from Steps! (no pun intended)
Ah yes! I remember watching a recording from that show on YouTube and thinking it must have been amazing for everyone there. I'm so jealous! Ahaha, a big step up indeed. It was during her My December tour, which is my favourite album of hers, so that was a standout gig for me, I loved it.

I was far classier than Steps when I went to a concert... I was a bit older than 10 though... It was Lana Del Rey, and she was glorious.
Well there you go! You got the benefit of being older and wiser. Lana Del Rey is a good one though, I NEED to see her live. My first gig, when I was about 17, was Kelly Clarkson, which still doesn't match Lana but is better than Steps ahah.
