Mix brightly colored Indian carved barndoors of Krishna and Ganesha adding the old world charm, connecting with old traditions and energies. Each corner of the room is vibrant with love and color and the level of energy in the room is…

#god this is me#I will definitely be able to afford upkeep and mortgage and also antiques
Antiques may be easier than you think. depending on where you live, FB Marketplace can be a gold mine
I have an absolutely gorgeous Victorian Renaissance Revival bed- decorative side-pieces, burled walnut inlay, ornamental urns...it's insane -that came out of a very nice lady's basement for $100. lovingly tended. hardly needed dusting, even, when I picked it up
for that money, I could barely afford most IKEA bedframes. it's hell to move, but I'm living now, not in my imagined future Victorian house. I deserve nice things now, when I can get them. and so do you.
a lot of people have "dusty old family junk" that they're trying to get rid of. transporting can be an issue, like I said, and take care with anything soft/upholstered- you'll want to check that for bedbugs or moth eggs
but like. rent a UHaul and reactivate your FB account; there's a universe of old things on there that need homes, often for killer prices. antique furniture is, I feel, the LEAST difficult part of Old House Dreams. partially because you don't need to wait for an old house to have it!
[applies for an even somewhat decently-paid job for which I am amply qualified, though the institution has rejected me for multiple other jobs in the past]
well time to look at Victorian houses within commuter rail distance on Zillow since I will clearly be able to pay a mortgage and restore that Completely Gutted No Appliances kitchen very soon!!!!
