Take a moment to really think about what is happening with conditions like Myocarditis, Pericarditis, Bell's Palsy, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, and Ramsay Hunt Syndrome.

These are not just rare occurrences anymore and it is annoying as they are becoming all too common. And then there is the rise of what some are calling 'turbo cancers, for the past year' where aggressive cancers are showing up suddenly, often in people who seemed perfectly healthy. Even heart diseases are on the rise, affecting younger people who should have had years of good health ahead of them.

As someone who’s spent time digging into what is really going on, especially when it comes to Big Pharma, I cannot help but see a pattern.

These pharmaceutical companies have so much power and influence, and they are not always transparent about the risks their products pose.

What we are seeing now is the fallout from that lack of accountability, and it is something we cannot ignore.

We need to start asking the tough questions and holding these people responsible before more lives are affected.

It's called Trust The Science & I was guessing it'd be some anti-vax thing but instead it's about a lady (who in a twist turns out to be a doctor too, bc the people at Jack Chick Industries (TM) have begrudgingly accepted lady doctors exist) arguing with a scientist who uses carbon dating on some skeletons about how there were witnesses to Jesus, which also makes the Bible scientific since indirect after-the-fact accounts of eyewitnesses are the same thing as carbon dating, and all the other scientists magically appear in the room and convert on the spot and everyone claps, which is a weirdly low-key and confused story arc for Jack Chick Incorporated Inc. Where's the deranged energy of "Halloween is a cover for human sacrifice" and "D&D is a Satanic plot to teach real magic" and "the Catholic church employs one-eyed Vatican assassins"?

Rogers apparently doesn't know the difference between history and disinformation. Rogers wants people to think he's really bright but he demonstrates again what a brainless dupe of Putin he really is.

The US Embassy in Kyiv published this funny but historically accurate meme which people should keep in mind when Putin claims that Russia is historically the mother (or whatever) of Ukraine.

i'm making this pinned post because my follower count has jumped recently, spurred by a mutual, site-wide hatred of mitch mcconnell.

my name is biddy. that is a nickname that i earned by being known for accidentally pushing the wrong button at a previous job... many... many times. my pronouns are literally whatever i do not care. by default, i go by he/him/his but feel free to use whatever floats your canoe.

i am anarchocommunist from the midwest. i believe radical change is needed to our society and that we are already living on borrowed time thanks to the wealthy elite and their government sponsors who ignored climate change for 3 decades.

i was born in 1990 and my retirement date is 2053. as i grapple with the stark reality that i will never have the fortune of retiring and that the world we know will no longer exist by then, i intend to make a furious number of posts about the following things on this blog:

Impeachment only refers to the process of putting a government official on trial for some kind of malfeasance or bad behavior. No penalties attach unless the official is convicted by the Senate, and Trump was acquitted both times. There is also no legal impediment to someone on trial or convicted of a crime running for President; famously, socialist Eugene V. Debs, who ran for President several times, once ran from jail (he had been arrested for protesting WW1).

This raises the incredibly stupid possibility Trump could get convicted of a federal crime, be elected President, and pardon himself. Although the trial he's in the middle of right now is on state charges, in New York; I do not know how it would work if he was in New York state prison when he was elected President. Presumably something about federal powers trumping state powers would be invoked to release him?

(No President has actually ever been convicted after being impeached, although plenty of other federal officials have been.)

Worm guy is Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., son of the late Robert F. Kennedy and nephew of former President John F. Kennedy. The Kennedys are beloved of a certain generation of older Democratic-leaning Americans, and the Kennedy name may still carry some weight with them; if RFK Jr. attracts any significant amount of the vote in November it will be almost exclusively because of those vestiges of his father's and uncle's legacies, considering he is an anti-vax wacko who now also seems to be courting the meme stock conspiracy theory vote. And maybe also some of the QAnons who think JFK Jr. (RFK Jr.'s cousin) isn't dead, and will return like the King in the Mountain to save America any day now.

People keep saying Ryan changed and learned but he shared a video using a racist term and stereotype for a Haitian religion not that long ago, shared posts from a transphobic account, not to mention all the transphobic, homophobic, racist and generally far right accounts he follows. And he never apologized for the antisemitism or anti-vax things he shared. I think he said some empty words about asking questions which is in itself a bit of a dog whistle. That's not even touching on the casting couch sexual coercion joke that Ryan and Oliver and Kenny made and probably only deleted because somebody pointed out attaching Peter's name to it was a bad idea.

If the majority of buddie stans & toxic bucktommy stans ACTUALLY gave a fck about these issues, they'd be talking about them all the time. Posting links, donating to marginalized communities, etc.

My whole point is that they're only using these issues now, as a means of justifying their hatred of a character from the show because they only want Buck to be with Eddie.

I'd also like to add, if it's the post he shared with the (voudon) tommy & gerrard dolls, yall HAVE TO BE INSANE to be mad at that. The religion is known by many names including voudon, voodoo, obeah etc., although obeah is more associated with Trinidad and voudon with Haiti.

Were the posts he shared transphobic? Or is it likely that he didn't know the accounts were transphobic & just shared a meme/story from them? Y'all act like people are chronically online and know everything about everyone they follow on socmed.

I saw the anti-vax post so that bit is substantiated. He was clearly wrong for that. The anti-vaxx post he shared also compared vaccinations and wearing masks to Nazi Germany which is insensitive and historically incorrect, even inflammatory, but it is not antisemitic. It's an out of pocket comparison, sure. But it certainly isn't antisem. Antisem would be if Ryan posted that he was prejudiced towards Arab, Jewish or Christian people. Thus far, I've not seen him post anything like that.

Also, if people have a problem with the casting couch skit, why is Ryan being the main one persecuted for it, as if Oliver and Kenny weren't a part of it? I know you mentioned them as well, but your ask is clearly mostly focused on what Ryan's done.

And furthermore, Ryan has also been the ONLY ONE to post about the Palestinian genocide, while the rest of the cast has not said a word about it. So, dislike/boycott/protest him as a person sure, but its possible to also recognize what he's done, especially when no one else has had the guts to even share a link, speak out against or donate to Palestinian families.

Furthermore, y'all like to conflate issues and warp them into a whole thing, when it's actually nothing at all. I remember Oliver having to delete X because people were attacking him for queerbaiting. And all of that was on the buddie stans. Y'all have made fandom absolutely joyless and unimaginative because y'all expect your preferred ships to be canon, and go absolutely berserk when they don't. It's annoying and embarrassing.

Grrrhhhnnn okay venting time because doing that to my family will either make them sad or they'll tell me I'm exaggerating.

So in my family there's two group chats. A big one with relatives from the side of my late father, and a smaller one with relatives from my mother's side. The first one I'm a part of, and though I'm not very active, I do pop in to see photos of the family whenever they share.

The second one I'm not a part of anymore. I was in it, but my aunt was in there, who can be perfectly described as a Facebook aunt, complete with Minions memes posting. Anyway, I was mostly ignoring the stupid memes she shared in that group chat, until she started spouting anti-vaxxing shit and I was like okay yeah bye. And I left the group chat.

Considering that everyone else in the group chat HAD vaccinated against covid and was PRO vaccine... I expected they'd talk to her and I'd come back into the group and we'd just never have to deal with her shit again.

But nope. I was left out of the group. I told my mother about my complaints over that, and she was like "Yeah okay we'll talk about it" and then we just never did.

It's been years since, and all along they've been sharing photos and news and having video calls in that group chat and I'm just never in, and then they go like "Oh yeah, you're not in that group" LIKE YEAH. FOR A FUCKING REASON. I have mentioned that a few times but they're just like "Eh okay".

Anyway, I've been mostly ignoring the fact that I feel pretty much left alone by my own family, because we Shan't Upset the Anti-vaxxer Facebook aunt, but today I realized my sister, who is visiting the States, did a video call DURING THE FUCKING ECLIPSE. And I wasn't even given the chance to take part. I realized that because she shared a video her friend took with his phone while she was talking to the others, and I could hear her greet someone from the Facebook aunt's camera. In the video (which she shared in the group chat of the other side of the family - which I get why she didn't call there, this group chat has some 30 something participants, while the other has like, seven) the eclipse is very clearly shown, and fantastic tbh, while in the video call she made she says the eclipse wasn't visible. So, I shouldn't get to complain, I guess?

Fuck that, though. Because no-one wants to talk some sense to our aunt, even though we all agree she's wrong, I missed an opportunity for something my sister knows I love. I know I wouldn't be able to see the eclipse from her video call, but seeing her being excited about it live would do as much.

And the thing is... who do I complain to about this? I can't complain to my mom, because I was raised in a "don't make mom sad" mentality, and she has lost her parents, two of her three siblings (with Facebook aunt being her last remaining close relative), her closer aunts and uncles, and recently her husband. How do I come up to her and tell her "Your bitchy sister, the last person left alive from your original family, made me miss a great opportunity for a bonding moment, and it's all the fault of you and the rest of the family for deciding that It's Okay that Nette isn't in this group chat where we share all about our family, and it's better that we keep anti-vaxxer Facebook aunt instead." How do I do that?

I can't complain to my sister who witnessed the eclipse, because I don't want to sour it for her. It was a great moment for her to witness it, I'm happy for her, and I don't want her feeling sad because she clicked "video call" on the group chat of the extended family, which is the one with the most activity.

I can't complain about it to my oldest sister, because she's the type of person who will blame me for overreacting on Facebook aunt's comments, for not talking about it, and for caring so much for a fucking eclipse or whatever. We don't have a lot in common and sadly she has a hard time understanding that I am passionate for different things than she is, and my passions are just as legit as hers. So I'm pretty sure she'll just scoff and blame me.

I could complain about it to my brother, but he lives far away and has little to no contact with Facebook aunt aside from that group chat. He won't disagree with me but he might say I'm exaggerating, and he won't be able to provide any help.

I don't want to complain to my therapist, because I have better use of my 40 euros per session than a stupid Facebook aunt.

And like... UGH. I might go for a walk and listen to some music, fuck this shit. I'm tired of being second thought to anti-vaxxer, minion-posting, ignoring-her-daughter's-very-obvious-learning-disabilities-and-near-arrested-emotional-development aunt.
