Despite lots going wrong and everyone joking about Charles being cursed after his Monaco win he is so close to P2. People have been hyping up the Lando/Max championship battle and Charles has just been quietly picking up results. He definitely wants to take his rightful throne as Max's true natural rival.

I don't want to jinx it though because it is a long race and anything can happen. I am so nervous to watch, especially for Max.

Funny thing is, I want Max to win the championship and Charles chasing him down in the championship is more terrifying to me than Lando 😂! (That's a compliment to Charles obviously) But at least a Lestappen championship battle would mean one of my favourites wins.

I still cannot get over the fact that Oscar kept going. Like this man. he was fully stuck in the grass after his team had prevented him from going for the win before with fucking papaya rules, and yet he grit his teeth reversed out and actually scored two points. I cannot imagine what he was feeling that moment in the grass. they had literally marked him as out of the grand prix and he said actually no, fuck that. he is my driver of the day cause he should've won that.

tried to gaslight myself into liking lando norris winning so i can get through the rest of this season but unfortunately i saw his media interview where he tried to downplay the achievements of the entire engineering department back in woking by saying there wasn't much in it between him and max and the car was only a "little bit quicker" to try and prop up his own driving skills

It's also, for me at least, that max is like soo sooo extremely supportive of lando (bc that's his friend!!) never let's the media question his succes, always seems to mention how lando is very talented and fast (and wdc material) and then opposite that u have mclaren shit talking max at every chance they get and lando taking lowkey digs

yeah I mean, wrt to lando specifically I try to remember that I'm not privy to their whole friendship and of course it's easier to be gracious when you're a 3x world champion vs. a driver fighting for his first wins, but at some point it's like. is it really that hard to give a sincere compliment? read the room lol. you can afford to be a little kinder now, just like max has been to you.

as for mclaren, they're just soooooo. like. it's actually so cringe the way they decided max was their Opp™ the moment they started performing well. it's just tacky classless bullshit, idk how else to describe it. the mclaren admin is my parasocial enemy. in the most insulting way possible, you can tell they've never been in a title fight before <3
