“Rhaenyra's own fans will turn on her”

I’m thinking about Emma’s interview where they outright reject Rhaenicent, this is the first time they have ever done this and I can’t help but wonder if it’s because they’re aware of how fan’s were reacting to Rhaenyra’s character.

Actors don’t live in a bubble, they have access to social media and their PR teams would make them aware of public response.

So Emma would be made well aware that Rhaenyra was losing fans to Jace, her indecisiveness to avenge Luke was turning TB against her, no one was interested in supporting a Queen who didn’t actually want to be Queen etc.

Hell all they’d need to do is check out the dislikes for the Dragonstone scene on YouTube to know just how much the general audience appreciated the Rhaenicent reunion that just a few months ago the writers were bragging about being something fans were dying to see.

It’s probably why they asked for Rhaenyra to use a sword in S3, so she can actually do something other than stand around complaining whilst the men take charge.

If the writers do try to prioritise Rhaenicent over Jace I can’t see Emma supporting it, 2x08 was ironically enough Nyra’s saving grace because she demanded a son for a son, but like previous anon said, if she turns around and chooses Alicent again fans will drop her like a hot potato.

I've honestly decided I don't like Emma or Olivia that much. They are fabulous actors but alas. I firmly believe that Olivia never actually shipped Rhaenicent, and every time she mentioned it and interacted with Rhaenicents had nothing to do with shipping them. I had a conversation with @atopcat about this a little bit ago. Olivia only faked liking rhaenicent because it kept her popular with that portion of the fandom, and then when people were completely done with that and Alicent lost her fan base, Oliva backtracked and started to disavow the ship, by saying she was portraying Alicent like 'she wanted to spit in Rhaenyra's face' and stopping interaction with those fans.

Emma on the other hand was neutral on rhaenicent and didn't mention it much but then when Olivia/Alicent lost their fanbase, they started completely rejecting it in an attempt to save themselves from Olivia's fate. I don't trust Emma or Olivia with writing shit anymore. Emma was responsible for the queer baiting that was the kiss with Mysaria. And Olivia was responsible for the Rhaenicent meet ups. Hot take: actors shouldn't be able to just ask for a scene because this stuff happens. I know Emma is just trying to save their job but it still feels tacky to me

They are both clearly doing damage control. Because Emma probably does know their characters carelessness for her sons is more important than a badly written and toxic yuri ship. Rhaenyra's popularity has been almost entirely transferred to Jace. Because Jace can actually make decisions with crying and throwing a two episode tantrum over it. As the previous anon said, do you know how incompetent you made your leading lady if you left people preferring her 16 year old son over her??? Rhaenyra started losing fans the second they butchered Luke's death, just wanting Aemond's head, which she changed her mind about, when in the book she wanted all the greens dead. She lost more fans when she basically spat in Jace's face about him not wanting to dragonseeds. What finally stopped the leak was when she said a son for a son, which was the first time Luke had been mentioned in a couple episodes.

In the Sept scene in KL, Rhaenyra mentions Luke literally once and not nearly as ferociously as Book!Rhaenyra would've.

I wish I could say I believe the writers and actors will wise up and stop this but I honestly don't. I wouldn't put it past them to completely double down on it and have Rhaenyra chose Alicent over her babies. Hopefully, Emma could see how disliked that is and stop it but idk.

Here's a friendly reminder for the writers: the love Rhaenyra had for her babies was well written in s1! She loved them with all her heart. I have no idea why you changed that for Rhaenicent!!! Go back! Rhaenyra loves her babies. Don't ruin Jace's death the way you did Luke's

Hummus de Tomates Secos

🇪🇸 Estuve en Cracovia, además de aprender mucho sobre el judaísmo y el antisemitismo, probé comida increíble. Visité un restaurante de comida israelí y probé el mejor hummus de mi vida: hummus con tomates secos. Traté de replicar la receta, la textura no era muy buena debido a mi licuadora. Sin embargo, el sabor fue increíble y creé un wrap vegetariano increíble.

Ingredientes para 5 personas:

Para el hummus:

500 gramos de garbanzos cocidos

1 limón

un diente de ajo

 7 tomates secos en aceite

4 cucharadas de aceite de oliva

3 cucharadas de pasta tahini

1 pizca de paprika

Para el wrap:

Rúcula picada

1 tomate picado en cuadrados.

1 calabacín picado en trozos.

3 zanahorias ralladas.

100 gramos de queso feta triturado.

5 tortillas

Hummus de tomate seco.

Preparación

Mezcla todos los ingredientes del Hummus con una batidora con buena potencia, hasta que quede una textura suave.

Sirve la tortilla y agrega un poco de cada ingrediente (verduras, hummus y queso)

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are to marry in the spring after announcing their engagement and admitting they were totally unprepared for the media storm that surrounded the first months of their relationship.

The prince said he was thrilled to be marrying the US actor after an 18-month romance, and the couple presented themselves to the world with a photocall and 20-minute television interview at Kensington Palace.

On Tuesday, Palace aides are expected to announce the venue for the wedding and details of the first royal engagements that Markle will undertake with the prince as she is quickly assimilated into the royal household.

In the TV interview, conducted by Mishal Husain, they revealed how the prince proposed to his future bride at his Nottingham Cottage home in the grounds of Kensington Palace on what was a standard typical night in for us while they were roasting a chicken for dinner.

The announcement of their engagement was made by Clarence House on behalf of Prince Charles earlier on Monday. Later, the Prince of Wales, speaking for himself and the Duchess of Cornwall, said: Were both thrilled. We hope theyll be very happy indeed.

Downing Street moved quickly to dampen speculation that there would be a bank holiday to celebrate the wedding. The prime ministers spokesman said: There are no plans for a bank holiday. There isnt precedent in this area. There was no bank holiday for Prince Andrews wedding in 1986 or Prince Edwards in 1999.

However, the wedding of Princess Anne, the Queens second-eldest child, and Mark Phillips in 1973 was marked by a bank holiday.

The wedding ceremony is likely to be conducted by Justin Welby, the archbishop of Canterbury, who said he was delighted by the news and had been impressed by the princes immense love for his family.

A royal source said it would be a happy church wedding, although the date is yet to be fixed. The Duchess of Cambridge is due to give birth to her third child in April.

I managed to persuade her to come and join me in Botswana, the prince said. And we camped out with each other under the stars. She came and joined me for five days out there, which was absolutely fantastic.

It was hugely refreshing to be able to get to know someone who isnt necessarily within your circle, doesnt know much about me, I dont know much about her. So to be able to start almost afresh, right from the beginning, getting to know each other, step by step and then taking that huge leap of only two dates and then going effectively on holiday together in the middle of nowhere and you know sharing a tent together and all that kind of stuff. It was fantastic.

I've actually criticised Olivia's blatant queerbaiting in a pre S2 post.

I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting to stay popular with fans, especially when the alternative is being hounded with abuse by online trolls. The problem however is this desperation to be liked is affecting her character, she doesn't want Alicent to do anything that will put her in a bad light and the writers seem to be just as bad.

Alicent was never going to be as popular as Rhaenyra, just like how Cersei was never going to be as popular as Dany, nervertheless (just like out lioness) she did have a fanbase, people did enjoy her character in fact I was one of them. But that wasn't enough, Olivia and the writers wanted Alicent to be just as loved as Rhaenyra, so 2x08 was them believing if Alicent betrays her faction to become Team Black's biggest cheerleader we'd welcome her with open arms.

Instead it blew up in their face, with Alicent becoming the most hated character on the show. I knew this wouldn't work because no one likes a hypocrite who won't take responsibility for their own actions. Can you imagine Cersei pretending TWot5K had nothing do with her so sells out her whole family (Tommen and Myrcella included) to House Stark, all because Lena got sick of being a villain so wanted to play a "hero"?

So now that the dumpsterfire of a season crashed and burned, along with whatever remained of Alicent's fans, Olivia's trying to backtrack.

I took a good look at your post and it's very right on point. Olivia and Emily definitely don't deserve hate and they definitely don't deserve to be called c*nts in public but Olivia definitely deserves some constructive criticism. I definitely agree that there's nothing wrong with wanting to be popular with fans, I guess my problem is that she was an extreme Rhaenicent supporter and then abandoned it when it didn't suit her. I know she's only trying to save her job but the least she could do is stand by the fans who are still defending her character. And you're entirely correct, her desperation to be liked completely derailed the story. She was responsible for both the BS rhaenicent meetings in s2 because she wanted to fuel the fire that was keeping her popular, and given how much she interacted with Rhaenicents and commented on their posts she pushed Emma and even Harry into a corner. The corner being the frenzy of the Rhaenicents.

And you're completely right that they just couldn't accept the fact that Rhaenyra was going to have more fans and flew too close to the sun about it.

I don't hate Olivia. I just think her choices to this point have been really tacky. Commenting on posts about Rhaenicent 'dungeon sex' pretty much sexualizes Emma when Emma never consented to that. She's being quite silent about the writing choices that were hers, she took credit for th reunions because she still thought it'd make her popular but she's not mentioning that Ali sacrificing Aegon was also sort of her idea now that it blew in her face. And she said she was portraying Alicent to have a desire to 'spit in Rhaenyra's' face in episode 8 despite the fact that she's been on rhaenicents side and was the reason that scene happened. And the obvious backtracking just makes her look like someone who plays both sides. She refuses to stand by her previous decisions and it makes her look bad.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are to marry in the spring after announcing their engagement and admitting they were totally unprepared for the media storm that surrounded the first months of their relationship.

The prince said he was thrilled to be marrying the US actor after an 18-month romance, and the couple presented themselves to the world with a photocall and 20-minute television interview at Kensington Palace.

On Tuesday, Palace aides are expected to announce the venue for the wedding and details of the first royal engagements that Markle will undertake with the prince as she is quickly assimilated into the royal household.

In the TV interview, conducted by Mishal Husain, they revealed how the prince proposed to his future bride at his Nottingham Cottage home in the grounds of Kensington Palace on what was a standard typical night in for us while they were roasting a chicken for dinner.

Markle said it was just an amazing surprise, it was so sweet and natural and very romantic. He got on one knee … I could barely let you finish proposing. I said, can I say yes now?

Markle, whose mother is African American and father is white, also described as disheartening and discriminatory some of the media coverage she received as Prince Harrys girlfriend because it centred on her racial background.

Markle admitted that even though she had starred in TV drama Suits, the media coverage had been a learning curve and said, I did not have any understanding of what it would be like.

That coverage forced the prince to take the rare step last year of publicly attacking the British press for introducing racial overtones into the reporting of their relationship.

Among the headlines that were believed to have angered the palace was one on Mailonline.com that read: Harrys girl is (almost) straight outta Compton, referring to the city in Los Angeles that has become known for gang violence.

The announcement of their engagement was made by Clarence House on behalf of Prince Charles earlier on Monday. Later, the Prince of Wales, speaking for himself and the Duchess of Cornwall, said: Were both thrilled. We hope theyll be very happy indeed.

She was married once before, to film producer Trevor Engelson, but the pair were divorced in 2013.

Since news of her relationship with Prince Harry broke in 2016, she has closed her blog and given an interview in which she described the couple as really happy and in love. She said: Nothing about me changed. Ive never defined myself by my relationship. She will become a duchess or princess when the couple wed.

Prince Harry said he designed her engagement ring himself using a stone sourced from Botswana, where the couple went camping in the first weeks of their relationship, and two smaller gems from Princess Dianas jewellery collection to make sure that shes with us on this crazy journey together.

The Queen, Prince Philip, prime minister Theresa May, and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn were among others who offered their congratulations.

Downing Street moved quickly to dampen speculation that there would be a bank holiday to celebrate the wedding. The prime ministers spokesman said: There are no plans for a bank holiday. There isnt precedent in this area. There was no bank holiday for Prince Andrews wedding in 1986 or Prince Edwards in 1999.

However, the wedding of Princess Anne, the Queens second-eldest child, and Mark Phillips in 1973 was marked by a bank holiday.

The wedding ceremony is likely to be conducted by Justin Welby, the archbishop of Canterbury, who said he was delighted by the news and had been impressed by the princes immense love for his family.

A royal source said it would be a happy church wedding, although the date is yet to be fixed. The Duchess of Cambridge is due to give birth to her third child in April.

Locals in the View Park-Windsor Hills suburb of Los Angeles where Ragland lives were also upbeat. Mike Young, 56, out walking his pitbull Tipper, said: I think theyre a respectable family, he said, referring to the Windsors. Id be excited to meet Prince Harry.

The couple said they were set up by a friend on a blind date and about a month after two dates in London in summer 2016 they went camping in Botswana.

I managed to persuade her to come and join me in Botswana, the prince said. And we camped out with each other under the stars. She came and joined me for five days out there, which was absolutely fantastic.

It was hugely refreshing to be able to get to know someone who isnt necessarily within your circle, doesnt know much about me, I dont know much about her. So to be able to start almost afresh, right from the beginning, getting to know each other, step by step and then taking that huge leap of only two dates and then going effectively on holiday together in the middle of nowhere and you know sharing a tent together and all that kind of stuff. It was fantastic.

He added that he thought Markle and Diana would be as thick as thieves, without question, I think she would be over the moon, jumping up and down, you know so excited for me. It is days like today when I really miss having her around and miss being able to share the happy news.
