If Jungkook has a relationship and he knows what tkkers say, why he doesn't defend Jimin? I'm not saying he should say that Jimin is his boyfriend, but he could make a nice comment about Jimin or say that he cares about Jimin or shows affection. But he doesn't do that. It's always Jimin flirting, hugging him, saying "I love you" and Jungkook never replied. Sometimes he acts like he doesn't like that Jimin is hugging him. There are many clips where Jungkook refuses Jimin or he ignores him, and because of his behaviour, Jimin get dragged by antis. Why do you think Jimin and jikook have many antis in the fandom? Everyone can see that Jimin loves Jungkook, so the problem is Jungkook! Jungkook can't or don't want to show his love for Jimin so jikook seems like an one- side relationship. Why do you think there is the narrative that Jungkook hated Jimin in the past? Even if it's not true, why the narrative exists in the first place? All because of Jungkook. But yes..the poor Jungkook can do what he wants, it's not his fault...who cares about Jimin...

Why does Jikook have so many antis? Because everyone is either jealous of them or afraid they are more than friends. People can’t stand that, they pray every night it’s not true.

Jungkook doesn’t act like Jimin bothers him. He doesn’t ignore him or refuse him. It’s only those trash people’s wish. When they don’t see Jungkook hating or ignoring Jimin, they miserably need to make up false narratives and spread them. The narrative he hated Jimin in the past is made up by people who can’t accept the fact Jungkook and Jimin were the closest duo since the beginning.

I don’t know if you really believe Jungkook doesn’t show his love for Jimin, or you only pretent to, but Jungkook has shown his love for Jimin SO many times. He was so brave to do everything he did. He has initials of Jimin’s name permanently tattooed on his ring finger visible for everyone. He said Love you looking directly at Jimin and then touching him at PTD LV. He said keep being jealous, I will keep holding onto Jiminie. He added kookminaredating account to his In the Seom club. He always turns his whole body and attention to Jimin when he speaks. He drops honorifics only for him. He posted 1 minute thirst trap on his birthday only for him. How much louder do you want him to be? Everyone can see Jungkook loves Jimin, but not everyone can accept it and that’s the difference.

He literally tried so hard to show Jimin is his number one to everybody, it’s not his fault people denied it, ignored it and found an excuse for everything... Everyone wants what jikook have anyway.

here's the one that suggested you No. 6. I'm really happy you like the anime.😊 I love the story and it's one of the few mangas I own. I'd love to watch a sequel to see how the characters evolve and how the city develolps. My first time writing an ask. I've been reading some of the posts on your blog and some of the answers you give to your asks. I've been agreeing with a lot of stuff you said.

I just wanted to say something about this whole "wooga squad" debate that's been happening in your asks.

This whole "but his friends" is such an anti behavior. Like, it's literally what BTS antis use to drag them all the time. Prime example would be Supreme Boi. All BTS members but rap line in particular get dragged by antis for their friendship with the guy. They use SBs behavior and attach it to the members. And armys always defend the boys against these stupid allegations but for some reason for Tae it's different.

Tae's only fault is that he happens to have famous friends who said or done something controversial years ago.

Btw, regarding Bogum, he left that church (that he was born into) and was looking for a new one (sometime last year I think I saw some photos) . I remember how when Tae, Bogum and Lisa went to that "wild" after party people were cracking jokes left and right how Bogum is in the toilet of that club on his knees praying but I think that if he genuinely was so homophobic he would have negotiated for himself not to go to that after party or he would leave.

Back to BTS and their friends. Apart from a few people we don't really know anything about their close friends circle so it seems extremely unfair to me to only judge Tae.

You can't judge someone based on the words that were said a decade ago. People change, Namjoon wrote a whole song about it. Yoongi talked about it too.

It's funny because jikookers used to use Tae's smoking/vaping as a reason why JK would never be with him because he said about his dislike of smoking about decade ago. And just a few months ago he was spotted with a vape on welive.

That anon is assuming way too much in their asks, literally throwing PHS and Peakboi under the bus while admitting they don't know anything about them.

Thank you for your ask. I agree it's all very anti behavior. Latching on to rumors and incidents to explain why Tae cannot be queer. Even when his own actions point to exactly that. While shippers are always accused of assuming too much and filling in the gaps with our imagination, this whole debate in my inbox is them doing the same. Nobody knows what Wooga squad is really like. The 'evidence' of them being bad is so weak. Celebs are often placed under a microscope, so I tend to believe that, while some members of Wooga might have traditional views and have done and said stupid things, they are not actually bad people.

Shippers can be so controlling. If they don’t get anything for few days they think something bad happened, if they do get something they think it’s not enough or it looks different, if multiple ships ‘happen’ they think there’s a power struggle and a competition. It’s a joke. I remember how Hobi and NJ talked about fans not thinking they are close because they usually aren’t seen together and yet they said they have a very deep connection and deep talks with each other all the time. People need to realize that what we see is crumbs. Crumbs. We have no access to their fights, fears, loves, worries…we have no idea how they behave in romantic relationships, how they look when they are in love. It’s not fair to constantly pin them against each other, especially when they are first and foremost friends first. You can tell that all of them care deeply about each other and no matter what they’ll find a way to be civil and loving even after fights. We already see that with vimin or with taejin and taekook. They care about each other and share a unique bond for life, so that’s all that matters

The only way to (maybe) gauge a relationship is if you see a pattern that goes along beyond just few months or days. It’s ludacris to moan about jikook if Jimin didn’t laugh about something jk said in a 10 sec video or if jk didn’t look his way when he gave an answer…like.. grow up people. And I don’t even get why people even talk about jimin and jungkook? I'll also add that some of those clips we frequently see that have been reduced to the few seconds in which it happens--oftentimes, when you see it in the context of a longer clip, it really doesn't carry the same weight that shippers have familiarized themselves with for a while now. This also happens with photos where a moment literally passes in a nanosecond when you watch it on video, but when you suspend that specific moment, it's suddenly romantically and/or sexually charged.

Like, no... that's not how that works. I'm actually re-watching Run! and I'm hovering around the low 40s by now, and I can tell you that while I've seen cute Jikook moments simply for the fact that I just love seeing them together, most of the moments that are frequently used in compilations aren't as implicating when you're watching the longer version and in a wider shot.

I think this is one of the more misleading things that happen when shippers focus on close-ups. It's not intentional, by any means, but it's one of the side effects of producing content that is meant to focus on two members.

Before anyone comes at me with their acid-dipped pitchfork, know that I'm not trying to disassemble Jikook. I frequently prefer to look at the bigger picture--the same big picture where I say that Jikook do have something, even if I might not know what that is. I think the fact that you can look at the big picture and still see Jikook having an interesting, and sometimes questionable, dynamic is a testament to Jikook being real enough, dating or not.

“I remember my first trip, the Scorpions weren’t a thing back then, Taehyung was actually a close friend…” Jimins thoughts drifted before snapping back to reality, “But anyway, that’s a story for another night. This evening is about you. What do you like the look of?”

The menu had an eclectic mix of different foods, from Korean, to Italian, to Spanish, there was a lot to choose from, and all sounded delicious. By the time the waiter came through, young and looking nervous, Y/N had finally settled on an old favourite of hers that she spotted. The men ordered an expensive sounding bottle of champagne with their meals and told the waiter to, “keep it coming.”

They ate and drank and laughed for hours, getting drunk on champagne and full on the most amazing food Y/N had ever tasted. After getting a creamy dessert that Eunjin had suggested whilst coming through to check on them, they paid the check and headed into town. As they took the short walk down the hill to town in the moonlight, Y/N plucked the courage to ask about something she had been wondering about.

“So, what’s the deal with Taehyung? From the sound of it, it seems like he used to be a Viper?” Y/N asked as she swung her laced hand with Jimin’s by her side. The man sighed and ran his free hand through his hair as Jungkook kicked a rock down the hill. She had hit a nerve.

“Yeah, he was.” Jimin said, slightly irritated, “He left after Yoongi and Hoseok had their big argument, took Hoseok’s side.”

“Wait, what? What argument?” Y/N asked, confused.

“Hoseok used to be Yoongi’s right hand man. They did everything together, until one-night Hoseok snapped and tried to kill Yoongi.” Jungkook explained, frustrated, “I still don’t understand what actually happened though.”

“Nobody does,” Jimin shook his head, “I’ve tried to pull answers from Taehyung but he won’t budge. Either he’s taunting us or is just as clueless.”

“So no one in either gang knows why Hoseok snapped?” The men nodded.

“It’s a mystery to us all.” Jimin rubbed his temple as he thought hard. Y/N stopped in her tracks to kiss his temples softly, wanting to soothe him, before meeting his lips. He sighed into it and pulled her close, “That was better than the first time.” He smiled after pulling away and Y/N giggled.

“You’ve kissed before?! How did I not know about this?” Jungkook exclaimed, making Jimin laugh heartily at Jungkooks pouty expression.

“It was a while ago at the club, a drunken mistake on my part. I basically pounced on him,” Jimin nodded and blushed slightly remembering the night fondly, “He just wanted to convince me to come back to the house when I was staying with the girls cause you were getting irritable.” She put her hands on his chest as she spoke and he pulled her closer by her hips.

“Drunken mistake or not, I’ve still missed out,” Jungkook playfully stated brushed her nose with his.

“That’s easily fixed,” Y/N murmured before closing the gap between them and moulding their lips together. Her hands slid up his chest to tangle in his hair. He groaned she tugged slightly and let his hands fall down her body to squeeze her ass gently. The gasp she made allowing him to snake his tongue into her mouth. As they got lost in the kiss the world faded around them until, Jimin cleared his throat behind them. As soon as they found the bar they headed straight for the bar, got a round of shots then found themselves on the dancefloor. I’m skeptical when it comes to Jikook. I absolutely despise serious shippers and I’m quick to dismiss shipping evidence, so that’s quite surprising coming from me. 😅 The way JK gazes at Jimin sometimes, you can’t fake that, it’s a dead giveaway, lol. There’s this one particular clip where he was intently staring at Jimin and someone, I think it was Jin, had to snap him back to reality, lol. I actually don't despise serious shippers, although it can come off that way if I'm not clarifying myself with each post. You would have had to be with me from the very beginning (~2 weeks worth of posts) to know where I stand. I understand where Jikook supporters are coming from and why they think the way they do, but I don't always agree with a lot (?) of the reasons they think support Jikook being Real. I do hate toxic shippers though, period, lol.

I agree with you in that the way Jungkook stares at Jimin can be a dead giveaway, but I would argue there are few of those instances. Jungkook has not only shown himself to be a very attentive maknae, but he's also guilty of the 100-yard stare. The poor boy spaces out, that's just what he does. I'm not saying that these are reasons why I can explain away all the staring he does with Jimin, but it's just a good thing to have in the back of your head.

I'm sure there are a few more instances I can think of, but the only moment that really resonates with me in how oddly affectionate Jungkook was gazing at Jimin was 2018 MAMA. We all know the clip. And what really strikes me as different about that interaction compared to any of the others is that there are times where Jimin isn't even speaking/no longer speaking/he's not doing anything that would warrant attention, but Jungkook's eyes will kind of linger on his face anyway. It's one of those events where I'm certain that there's a little something there--admiration, attraction... something.

I haven't seen the PTD clip that you're mentioning, but to add onto that, there are videos in circulation of Jungkook and the rest of the boys having their attention captured by women (either fans or event workers). To be fair, though, finding other people--men or women--attractive while you're in a relationship doesn't mean anything. You will always find other people attractive--more so objectively. So I don't think that has any real weight in judging whether Jikook is Real or not, but again, it just goes to show that we don't know the boys very well at all, and we can't presume to say we do.

I don't know how true it is, but the airport photos where Jungkook is seen to be more protective of Jimin were supposedly a result of Jimin having been knocked over at one point/getting death threats. I honestly don't know the real story or even when those events occurred. If Jungkook was being gentlemanly just to be that way and did so consistently at every airport appearance, then I'd say there's something going on, but I think those may have been isolated incidents..? Again, you or someone else can chime in with the facts for me.

I agree about JK as a person. and I think that’s why him and Jimin seem to click because they are similar yet still different. I think that is what bothers me the most about some people in the fandom who constantly claim how JK can’t stand Jimin, how he’s uncomfortable, how he’s not finding him attractive…other than the fact that those are complete lies, JK is never over the top touch feely or gushing over anybody. He’s simply not that kind of person. Especially not Jimin levels of affection. Jimin seems to love saying what he really feels freely and over share and feel comfortable with touch and feelings but JK is much more reserved and usually never initiate first with …anybody. I think he shows care with act of service and worry and actions more than anything so I find it pretty insulting how the fandom tries to use it as a way to downplay certain relationships or manipulate reality. People are nuts. Taekookers think a few seconds video from a concert proves a 7 year old conspiracy of a hard fought love triangle they somehow won (their behavior towards others that day was pure crazy town). A toxic Jkkr in my ask accused me of having a superiority complex, which I found laughable, because it's basically their personality trait. I don't think my words are the be-all, end-all, but I do think some of the extreme thought processes they have are... not thought out that well, to put it nicely. You make a good example here:

Just because these moments aren't isolated to Jikook doesn't make the Jikook moment any less touching or cute. Carry on your merry way because at the end of the day, you have, undeniably, other viable reasons to prove your ship is real (or suspiciously not that platonic, if you're like me) if you so choose. If you think a few chinks in your Jikook armor are so precious that you can't bear to have someone counterargue your points, then you're showing your ship isn't strong enough to begin with. But it can be and it is, so lay some gold in those cracks and wait patiently for whatever exciting clip comes our way.

Even as someone who doesn't fall over every analysis I see, I'd say there are definitely more than 3-4 moments that have made me side-eye Jikook or where my brain tries to rationalize a particular Jikook behavior but instead short-circuits because there's no way to explain it. I hate that I was relying on other jikook blogs that were spreading it as a fact jikook are together bc I didnt have many accts to go to that just supports their friendship and bond. I don't think all shippers are manipulative or are intentionally manipulative, but I do think that being exposed to similar narratives constantly can instill similar and equally strong beliefs. It's often very difficult to separate yourself from that way of thinking if it exists in a vacuum, not to mention that you do end up forming a community with these people, and there's nothing humans love more than community and feeling validated.

At the end of the day, shipping shouldn't be taken all that seriously. If you love Jikook, you love them, but no one can say with 1000% certainty that they're dating or they're not. Everyone is making assumptions or theorizing to support their assumptions, and if Jikook comes off as platonic to you, that's your prerogative.

I'm not going to judge you for thinking they're just friends; in fact, I can see why people would feel that it's just friendship at times because sometimes their interactions do come off that way. Because they are friends. They all are. I don't know why people act like being friends is the death knell of their ships.

The fact they have a relationship at all--that they've met under these circumstances and are still coasting through life together--is amazing. If you want to get all Studio Ghibli poetic about it, the way they have so many similarities, how their lives could've easily intersected at various points in their lives, and how said lives could've taken different paths and turned out differently in all sorts of ways but didn't, makes their meeting more serendipitous.
