yes but i don't think it's because the concept of destiel makes him uncomfortable at this point. i think it's because every single time he speaks about destiel, no matter what he says, a whole bunch of people are upset in a whole bunch of different directions. he says cas was dean's best friend and well that just means he's homophobic because obviously cas was more than that, but also how dare he forget about sam. he says dean was thinking that he should've said i love you too and well he obviously meant it platonically and how dare anyone think otherwise but also he stuttered when he said it so he was trying to hold back slurs. he says cas's confession testament isn't something that needs to be resolved which obviously means they will never ever address it despite the 6000 other things he's said about wanting to give it the weight it deserves when dean and cas reunite. jensen hates gay people and specifically he wants to spit in hellers faces but also how dare he say things that legitimize destiel he's a monster and this is why we love jared.

Nope, Dean never knew it was Cas who let Sam out, which is why (among several reasons) why I’ve never forgiven Cas.

It was a very sore point in the fandoms for many years and brought up a few times in conventions and the actors try to sidestep the issues since the showrunner/writers wouldn’t resolve the issue.

Did we ever ever get a scene where Dean comes to know that it was cas that let Sam out of the panic room at Bobby’s during the s4 demon blood addiction story line???

Like. I wonder if this is something that was canonically shown (been a while since I watched s4-5), implied as resolved offscreen, or just… never talked about again (like so many fucking things LOL) ???

You know that just because you don’t give her money, she’s still benefiting from the attention that the thousands of ao3 fanfics will give her, right? I understand it being hard to let go of a piece of media you held dear to your heart, but if you really care about what jk says, you should understand that still using her work for headcanons and as a base to make fanfics is still spreading the original source material. And she’s gaining influence from it. She’s getting more and more followers on social media, who will hear all the bs she has to say, and more people will stand on her side.

So making ocs unrelated to Harry Potter would probably be better than just ignoring the issue by saying "oh it’s okay, hatsune miku wrote Harry Potter"

Unpopular opinion - Gadreel's attempt at redeeming himself was way better than Castiel trying to redeem himself by trying to fix things in season 6 by swallowing the souls in purgatory and working with Metatron in season 8.

Also, I'm still bitter that Dean never found out Castiel let Sam out the panic room or that the angels changed the voicemail. Balthazar should've been the new angel on their side.

one scene in specific that i hated in s13 where sam is not on board about bringing lucifer in to help them open the portal bc you know, he's sam ABUSER and cas goes "I was used by lucifer too, it was the worst possible violation" I'm sorry but who released lucifer and accepted the possession? YOU, CASTIEL, HE WAS ON THE LOOSE AGAIN BC OF YOU and you don't understand what it does to a human, since you're an ANGEL

Unpopular She-Ra opinion: I’m not really a fan of C//A and I like Glimmadora, but I actually like Glimbow too.

I don't think I ever really explained why, but I guess it’s for a couple of reasons actually. Now, I can understand people’s dislike for it (no hints of romantic chemistry, pair the spares, etc.), but I still mange to find it appealing outside of those things.

I just think they look pretty cute together lol I see them a lot more as friends, but it doesn’t disturb me that they gotten together.

It’s clear that they’re both pretty important to one another, platonic or otherwise.

It’s a nice simple example of childhood friends to lovers.

They’ve been together for this long.

It’s a BiPOC ship 😊 As a BiPOC myself, it’s really cute to see.

I think they would have pretty kids ^^

Heck, Aurora (my NG oc) is technically a Glimbow baby, but only biologically. She’s their child though magic (yes, they didn’t want to perceive the natural way lol) and they were never together. So I guess that’s technically me indirectly shipping them together in my NG lmao 😂

Over my 12 years of being in the fandom, I've encountered quite a few new fans who are always very surprised at how defensive Sam fans are. Then I see the same handful of (somehow popular) cliquey Dean fans constantly talking shit about Sam fans. They'll do things like generalize a few toxic outliers as the entirety of Sam fans. Or they'll put blatant anti posts in the Sam Winchester tag and then act like "omggg those Sam girls are SO unhinged" when they get push back. Meanwhile, someone points out something Dean did IN CANON that is unambiguously morally bad they lose their minds and call that person an anti, regardless of who they actually do or don't like.

And I'm like YEAH CAN'T IMAGINE WHY SAM FANS ARE SO DEFENSIVE SURE IS A MYSTERY

Point number 6 was when I had enough of Castiel and was willing to be done with that perpetual victim.

Later on getting to know Misha and his baiting ways ended any objectivity I might have had for Cas.

Also, the fact that it just comes into the show out of nowhere does not help. It ruins the show and it's essence for a bunch of online bullies.

Oh, how I hate Destiel, let me count the ways

Let me preface my rant by noting that I know none of these ideas are new, but I just have to get it off my chest because it’s annoying me today. (I may delete this later, but I need to say it somewhere for now.)

1) The hardcore shippers are insufferable and entitled. They also act like shipping two fictional characters is activism and throw around "homophobe" at anyone who doesn’t love their ship. It’s gross.

2) Dean and Castiel claim to be best friends while treating each other like crap a lot of the time. Cass in particular lies to and goes behind Dean's back often, while Dean is often borderline hostile with Castiel.

3) Castiel is in a stolen body. He forced Jimmy to agree to be possessed so his daughter wouldn’t have to be his vessel. So, in early, days there is no consent here. Later, Castiel is basically a parasite living off of a dead body.

4) Dean literally says Cass is like a brother to him, thus he’s not attracted to him. (He also says Castiel is like a talking dog and a baby in a trench coat. Not sexy.)

5) Dean is straight. No matter how much "bi lighting" Dean stands in or how much cake he eats, his own words and actions show he is not attracted to men.

6) Castiel broke Sam's hell wall, making him go insane and almost killing him in the long-run, just to distract and worry Dean, and I will never get over it. He doesn’t deserve Dean after doing this. And he doesn’t deserve to be in the same "family group" as Sam.

7) Angels are generally portrayed as lacking the depth of emotion that humans have, or a consistent sexual drive when they have their grace. Thus, I don’t believe he even has the capacity to be "in love" with or "attracted to" Dean.

8) Castiel takes very little responsibility for his own actions and often blames Sam for things that are partially, or entirely, his own fault. (Apocalypse #1, letting Lucifer out of the cage, etc.) This isn’t strictly ship-related but it makes me dislike him as a character and want him around both brothers less.

9) Almost every "subtext" clue that destiel shippers claim "proves" their ship has a corresponding, or greater, equivalent that would support Wincest. In short, if one thinks Destiel is real because of tiny little clues (despite Dean being straight) then they can’t rightly say Wincest doesn’t exist in the show because there is way more "subtext," and text, to support it (despite the brothers being … brothers).

10) Sam and Dean's insane relationship renders all ships outside of them pointless. I don’t ship Wincest, but it also doesn’t really bug me because they are fictional characters. I love the show strictly FOR the brothers" relationship. They love each other more than anyone else, and that what makes the show compelling.
