Thoughts on ep 6? I see a lot of praise for it but I'm like 🤔. A lot of things were annoying and illogical and I don't like what they're doing with most of the characters this season. Now even Daemon gets a redemption arc, Aegon is the biggest victim of his family, but Aemond is 100 % evil, Helaena barely appears at all (at this point Sylvie and Dyana might be more important to the story). I'm just disappointed.
Hello dear.
I'm terribly tired of this season, it's a complete disappointment. Many fan theories and fanfictions are better written than this series. I don't know what writers get their money for. The whole season 2 is like Groundhog Day. The sixth episode is just water.
We continue to be shown Daemon, his hallucinations and his “redemption”. We are promoted that he loved his brother, but this love did not extend to Viserys’ other children. Daemon and Rhaenyra actually spent their entire lives ignoring, neglecting, rejecting, and abusing Alicent's children because their grandfather was Otto. Viserys did not accept his children because ANOTHER WOMAN gave birth to them. Alicent's children were indeed discriminated against by their paternal relatives. Therefore, I do not believe in the propaganda of Daemon's redemption, that Rhaenyra is kind, and Viserys is a good parent. Besides, I'm terribly tired of all these hallucinations in Harrenhal. It was interesting in the beginning, but now it's endless repetition.
The pointless scenes of Rhaenyra and Daemon could have been spent on a story arc with the north and Sarah Snow, showing Daeron, more scenes to Helaena.
It looks like we have Daemon, Rhaenyra and Alicent, other characters, playing the role of «trees» or «decorations» for them.
They decided to show Aegon as a victim. This is a cheap scenario move to divide the TG stans into two camps: those who support Aemond and those who support Aegon. As if we weren't already divided into helaemond stans and anti-helaemond long ago. Aegon could have been given a bit of heroism to get burned by Rhaenys. But we have what we have. The dynamic between Aegon and Aemond reminds me of the dynamic between Viserys and Daenerys. It really is déjà vu, but I don't believe the writers intended it that way.
Aemond tries to deal with the problems that Aegon and Rhaenyra created. The birth of the rebellion began after Aegon carried out a reign of terror by hanging the rat-catchers. Rhaenyra set up a blockade. Aemond closed the gates, but if he had not done this, the entire infrastructure would have stopped working, since there would be no people left in the capital. It's cruel, but it's true and it's wartime. The problem is that Aegon, as king, failed to convey to the people that they were starving because of Rhaenyra, staged a public execution and fired Otto. Aemond can no longer do anything, because the mechanism has already been launched and a riot was inevitable.
I don't think they're trying to make Aemond evil, but the normies will think he's evil. He is cruel to his brother for personal reasons, he fired Alicent (which I support him on) because she loves Rhaenyra (Alicent actually had a chance to end the war in episode 3, but she loves Rhaenyra more than her children). Aemond brought Otto back because he knows that his grandfather is the best Hand.
I feel bad for Helaena the most. I really believed that she would be on the small council. Ewan talked a lot about Helaena: “She is good with books and money.” I'm really upset. We weren't even shown the Dreamfyre. Why does Alice Rivers have more screen time in the Targaryen story? Where is Helaena's coronation?
Alys Rivers is absolutely disgusting to me. She's a maniac on the hunt for Targaryen sperm. She drives Daemon crazy like a brain parasite. I hope people stop romanticizing alysmond, because the same thing awaits Aemond.
Sylvia was offended that Aemond no longer came to her and did not pay her money, so she decided to spread lies about him that he was throwing a feast in the castle. Even Diana doesn't believe her because she served the royal family and knew Aemond's character. Sylvia is not a hero, she owns a brothel. She abused (ra**d) 13 year old Aemond and I'm sure other children too. She manipulated Aemond, and when he left, she decided to take revenge on him.
Rhaena was given the Nettles line, which is quite disappointing. Once again the writers show that in TB this is the Mary Sue team. The writers actually decided to remove the cool character because they didn't want to ruin daenyra.
Helaemond is pain. The writers decided to gaslight us. The entire written plot in the first season was destruction, all the potential was destruction. Ewan and Phia say that Helaemond was not in the scripts, but I don't believe it. There are many scenes and hints in the second half of the first season.
House of the Dragon is truly a complete disappointment for those with critical thinking skills. The scriptwriters' favoritism is not even hidden.
Bring back Miguel! He is the only one who knows how to write a script and characters!
We have two more episodes, but there's not much hope.
p.s.
Aemond showed Larys his place and immediately understood his manipulation - the best scene of the whole season.

I hear it's not Daemon's fault for having this kind of dream / hallucination but Alys River outright violating his mind at this point.
It's just the stupid haters of Daemon character (generally also Greens stans) who will dare to hold him responsible for this visions.
In fact, most of them love Alys for that.
Paradoxical nonetheless since they act as if these visions were purely due to Daemon's true desires in order to be able to insult him but on the other hand cheers Alys for causing him these horrible visions !
So you recognize that they are not Daemon's doing ? So why do you insult him for these visions, taking them for real proof that he sees Rhaenhra as a child, wants to kill her, loves Laena, wants to fuck his mother (even though she died when he was 3 years old) ?
But in reality... nothing forced the writers to write something like that.
Nothing !
It's simply there to be gratuitous trash that shocks the viewer, nothing more.
And it doesn't bring any sort of real thought / depth to the story or Daemon's character in particular.
Just... Alys tortures his mind with increasingly horrible visions.
Why write this ?!
Why bring Alyssa on screen for the first time through a sexual hallucination of Daemon caused by Alys River raping his mind ?
For what ?! What was the point ?!
Literally none.
And it tires me to see people trying to justify such crappy writing, whether by being anti Daemon or pro Daemon.
It's just bad writing that nothing justifies.

Jaehaerys’ death will be the driving force for Helaena and Aemond’s character arcs in s2, just like Daemon & Rhaenyra’s character arcs will be largely impacted by the death of Lucerys.
Meanwhile, Aegon never even saw his children in s1 and was ready to abandon his wife as well – a beautiful foreshadowing for the future of Alysmond, when Aemond decides to leave his alleged wife so he can die fighting Daemon & never be forced to lay his poor eye on a shadow assassin baby he created with her.
If I despised Helaemond to the point of threatening to stop watching HOTD, I would also be very worried about Fabien saying how Criston sees himself in Aemond & vice-versa, especially now with the scripts confirming the mutual attraction between Alicent & Criston.
You can cheer up though, at least you have the opening credits (but barely anyone besides the most passionate antis care about those) & Alys is coming (she however is going to have a flirtatious interaction with Daemon, so there’s a potential that you might get a brain aneurysm if you witness her ''betraying'' Aemond, after consuming so many self-inset stories & having unrealistic expectations for HOTD writers who never intended to fulfill them). 🤭

Targaryen Inc (7/?)
Tumblr media
Description: Alyra and Jacaerys talk about his weekend with Helaena and Alyra finally joins Aegon on a night out, so she can ignore her broken heart.
Alyra crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow. “Oh?”
“Helaena came over this weekend to help me work through some stuff with Sarah, and I’m afraid I may have made her uncomfortable.”
“How?”
“We were just talking, and then we got in a tickle fight, and I complimented her, then she basically bolted.” He rubbed the back of his neck. “I apologized, and she told me it was alright, but you know her. She never wants anyone to be upset.”
“Why did you start a tickle fight, that’s a cheesy couple move.”
It was Jacaerys’s turn to hide his face in his hands. “I don’t know, I’ve just been so up and down since Sarah and I broke up, and Helaena was there, being kind and pretty, and I just wanted to see her smile.” He ran his hands down his face then laid them flat on his desk. “I swear her smile could cure cancer; it always makes me feel better.”
“Do you have romantic feelings for her, or are you two just friends? Because if you’re just friends, you need to reevaluate.” Her cousin was toeing the line between friends and something more, and she did not want to see either him or Helaena end up with a broken heart.
“We’re—she’s—it’s Helaena. I love her, she’s a wonderful person, and a great friend. She’s beautiful, smart, kind, loves dogs, and we like the same movies…she’s perfect.”
Alyra sat back in her chair, and just stared at him. Her idiot lawyer cousin was in love with her best friend, and completely blind to it.
“She’s the perfect person, the perfect friend, I love being around her.” He continued, not understanding the meaning of her stare.
“And Aegon just set her up with one of his friends.” She said, resting her chin in one hand, waiting for his reaction.
“Aegon? Aegon’s friends are manwhores. They’ll just take advantage of her and break her heart. I can’t let that happen.” He said, standing up and storming towards the door.
She caught his wrist. “Helaena is really excited about this date; you will not ruin it for her, and you will not use her as a rebound. So, sit down, and make a therapy appointment before you decide to rush over there and declare your love for her.”
“I’m not in love with—Helaena, my flower!” He perked up when Helaena opened his office door.
Helaena smiled at him, then noticed Alyra was in his office as well. “There’s this goth woman by the elevator, and she glared at me when I hugged Aemond.”
“See, she’s a bitch.” Alyra said, throwing her hands in the air for emphasis. “She’s your brother’s date for tonight.”
Helaena sat in the other leather chair and smoothed out her skirt. “I don’t like the energy she gives off; it reminds me of—" She cut herself off, just as Jacaerys had.
Alyra intertwined her fingers, biting the inside of her cheek. “Does everyone know Aemond’s tragic backstory, but me?”
Helaena looked at Jacaerys then back at her. “It’s not something Aemond likes to discuss, he’s very back and forth on how he feels about it.”
After a few more minutes, it was time for them to clock out, and she gathered her things, knocking on Aegon’s office window. “Are you going out tonight?”
“It’s Margarita Monday, of course I’m going out.” He said, grabbing his car keys and shoving them in his pocket.
“Can I come with you?”
Aegon’s face lit up. “Alyra Hawthorne, are you finally asking to come out, with me, on a weekday?” He flung his arms around her, hugging her tightly. “This is going to be so fun; I promise.”
She hugged him back. She herself wasn’t a hugger, but Aegon was, and overtime she’d gotten used to his bear-hug attack-style of celebrating good news. “As long as we don’t go to any strip clubs.”
“You got it, clothing required places only.” He released her, and they made their way down to the parking garage.
Alyra sat beside Aegon drink in hand. They were seated in a private booth, and she was certifiably drunk.
“She’s a bitch, an old goth-hippie bitch.” She yelled over the music.
“Aemond has weird taste, always has.” Aegon yelled back.
“Why go after her when I live down the hall from him? He wouldn’t even have to drive anywhere.” She complained before dissolving into giggles at the shock on Aegon’s face.
His mouth dropped open. “You’re into Aemond?”
“Yes, thoughts?” She said, attempting to sound sober and serious, but failing miserably.
“And prayers, Alyra, thoughts and prayers.” Aegon said, taking a swig of his drink. “Why Aemond?”
Alyra took another sip of her drink. “He’s smart, sweet, good hair, killer jawline, is always respectful, and defends me, he’s so charming. Also, he’s hot, he’s so, so hot.” A flash of silver caught her gaze, and she turned her head. “And he’s right over there…”
Aegon followed her gaze.
“He’s right over there, dancing with that woman, after he invited me to his award thingy, bought me flowers, flirted with me, and said he’d want me close. This is bullshit.” She slammed the rest of her drink down and tapped her nails angrily on the table.
“Don’t let it bother you, you’re too hot for my brother anyways.” Aegon’s said, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.
Alyra couldn’t tear her eyes away from Aemond and Alys dancing together. “Aemond doesn’t even like clubs, he doesn’t even know any of the songs.” She huffed, grabbing another drink from the bucket in the center of their table.
“He’s a nerd, and she’s a cougar, let’s get out of here, I know this great place down the street that Aemond definitely won’t be at.” Aegon coaxed, standing up and reaching to pull her up with him.
She brushed off his hands. “No, I’m saying something to him.” She made her way out of the booth and attempted to navigate her way through the crowd. She really regretted that last shot, as her legs felt unsteady beneath her, and her vision was swimming. Someone bumped her, and she stumbled forward, catching herself at the last second on a man’s shoulder.
The man turned around and gave her a look that sent a shiver of fear down her spine. She tried to back away, but he grabbed her wrists. She struggled against him, yelling for Aegon, but the music drowned her out.
Suddenly an arm was around her waist, and she was pulled backwards. She elbowed whoever grabbed her, and they shouted her name.
She turned around to find herself chest to chest with Aemond.
His eyes were panicked and scanning her for any injuries. “Are you okay?”
“I…” She was interrupted by the man who grabbed her.
“Hey chill man, I saw her first.”
Aemond’s eyes grew cold, and he pushed her behind him before leaning forward and speaking quietly to the man.
She couldn’t hear what he said, but the man’s face drained of color, and he turned and fled. Pushing through the other people dancing on his way out.
Aemond turned back to her, trailing his hands from her shoulders down to her wrists checking for bruises.
“I’m fine.” She said, ripping her hands away from him. “Go back to your girlfriend.”
Aemond cupped her face, the panic still clear in his eyes. “Alyra, what are you doing here?”
“I’m with Aegon, I lost him in the crowd.” Technically not a lie.
Aemond swore under his breath. “It’s too dangerous for you to be by yourself, what if something happened to you?” He closed his eyes and let out a deep breath. “What if I hadn’t been there to stop that man?”
Normally this concern would’ve had her stomach fluttering, but all she could feel was the alcohol turning her blood to fire. “Who knows, but why do you care? I’m not your problem.” She removed his hands from her face. “Go back to your girlfriend, Aemond.”
“Alyra, I’m not leaving you here.” He said, catching her hands and intertwining them with his own.
Tomorrow, she would blame it on the alcohol, but tonight she was hurt and angry. “You said it yourself, we’re co-workers. Not friends, not dating, not anything. Just two people that work together.”
He shook his head. “I didn’t mean to offend you, of course you’re more than a co-worker.”
She laughed bitterly. “I’m not offended, I’m hurt. I don’t like this game you’re playing, Aemond, I really don’t.”
His face was a mixture of confusion and anguish, and she longed to comfort him, but she steeled herself.
“Alyra, oh my gods, you scared the shit out of me.” Aegon wrapped his arms around her from behind, and she let him pull her backwards.
“Let’s go to that other bar.” She said, turning away from Aemond and clinging to her friend.
“Ñuha dōna, please, let me take you home, you’ve had enough.” Aemond pleaded, following behind them as Aegon expertly weaved through the crowd.
They reached the door and Aegon stepped in front of her, speaking quietly to Aemond in a language she didn’t understand.
She rarely saw Aegon angry. Bored, upset, hungover, obsessed, tired, she’d seen countless times, but angry was not an emotion he displayed often.
Aegon broke away from his brother and pulled her out of the club.

I find it really upsetting and meaningful that if you ask A*ys Rivers' "fans", who btw claim she's such a "complex" character to describe her, they'll most likely say "attractive", "seductive", "buxom", "witch", "milf"... None of those are personality traits...
What is more, they have this weird habit of calling her "strussy" or "riverussy" . I'm aware in many cases, those s*x jokes are just light-hearted, but it baffles me that some of those "stans" actually reduce the character they like to her private parts.
I've never been a fan of Aemond's Riverlands subplot. In my opinion, it's rather boring and doesn't bring much to the story. I perceive the book A*ys as Aemond's victim, who , later on, reclaimed her agency by sending the dude who had slaughtered her whole family and made her his s*x slave ,a literal object he could use as he pleased, to her death.

After reading the crazy crap that has been posted on r/HOTDGreens lately, I don't want to have anything to do with "TG stans" anymore.
These people need therapy, they are very cruel in their fantasies and very toxic to those who don't share their opinions, and I'm not talking about TB stans. I advise you to avoid this trash can.
I still root for the TG characters, but since the book and season 1 I do not support Aegon and Alys and now after season 2 I do not support Alicent.
TG is not only Aegon and Alicent.

Frankly, people who are in mode : But why are you shocked that Daemon has incestuous problems linked to his mother ? It's a show about incest !!!
Its stupid.
Sorry but do your research. The Targaryens do not and have never had this type of incestuous relationship. This never happened and it's as disrespectful as ever to the source material.
Not to mention having the audacity to make Alyssa Targaryen, a cool and strong female character, appear for the first time on screen, through a sexual dream imposed on Daemon by Alys who rapes his mind.
Yes because I feel like people intentionally forget that these dreams / visions are not Daemon's will but Alys literally violating his mind. Daemon was 3 years old when his mother fucking died...
Without forgetting everything I've already said here :
This is not good writing, and no, in general there is no criticism against incest and the trauma that may be linked to it, in GRRM's work as I said here :
And here :

Condal turning the Alys Rivers into a manic pixie dream girl that tries to change Daemon for the best and her first priority being the lives of women and children was my last fucking straw.
Why do all the women have to be pure angelic pacifists with no agendas of their own to pursue?
Rhaenyra, Alicent, Mysaria, Alys, Rhaenys and any other female character have been whitewashed to fucking hell. There’s nothing interesting or controversial about them. They’re all just borderline powerless victims who do exactly what Alicent said to Rhaenys in S1 E9: try to guide the men instead of taking action themselves. Where is the feminism in that?
Let women be humans.
